-> WHAT DOES EVERYONE SAY ABOUT YOU?
"Pop sensation of the summer!" Seems to be a title synonymous with your name, ever since the release of your hit single "Espresso", every comment about your so-called homewrecking has been eradicated. "From sub-par popstar to a musical sensation!" Labels TVT News. "An absolute darling and sweetheart!" As the Monstadt Times proclaim. After your heartfelt piece 'all because I liked a boy' went viral, the industry just can't seem to get enough of you and your side of the story! Both new and old fans alike are drawn to your down-to earth demeanor, and how approachable you are, even after going back to being signed to a record label!

inspired by the one and only sabrina carpenter of course! (no surprise there)

-> WHAT DOES EVERYONE SAY ABOUT VENTI BARBATOS?
"THE up and coming composer!" and "How the hell is this guy not on Broadway yet?" are terms of praise that Venti is all too familiar with. Composing a whole mythology based musical all by himself is no easy feat, if you're a theater kid, you've most definitely heard of him! Attracting both folklore enthusiasts and musical enjoyers, with Venti's skyrocketing popularity, many are questioning how he hasn't made it to the big stage already. Is he playing it safe? A desire for complete creative autonomy that no studio could ever give him? Or maybe he just knows his worth and wants to make the big names in the industry beg a little more. "Always an enigma, that modern day bard!" Writes DANDELION WEEKLY.
-> VEE'S NOTES

-> WHAT DOES EVERYONE SAY ABOUT FURINA DE FONTAINE?
Furina is the IT girl of the acting industry, she's done it all! She's starred in both blockbuster movies and award winning live productions, offering both heartbreaking and inspiring performances! Starting her career at a young age, it's very clear that both her natural talent and dedication have played key parts in her success. Even after announcing her retirement from the acting scene, she's still remained in the industry as a director, lending her artistic vision to many critically acclaimed films. "Even after all her career changes, it's safe to say Furina de Fontaine will remain an influential figure in both the film and theater world!" - TVT News
-> VEE'S NOTES
furina isn't inspired by anyone in particular, she's just iconic like that!

-> WHAT DOES EVERYONE SAY ABOUT LYNEY HEARTH?
Formerly one half of a sensational teen idol duo with his twin sister, Lyney's path to stardom was one he's always tread on since a young age. During the occasional acting jobs he took with Lynette in their youth, he found a passion for the art and eventually pursued it after the pair disbanded, quickly getting cast in a variety of live productions and musicals alike thanks to his talent for performing and his charming way of interacting with a live audience. Contrary to popular belief, him and his sister are still quite close, but,"One of them's just more of a recluse than the other." States POISSON Weekly
-> VEE'S NOTES
while lyney in this au isn't inspired by anyone in particular, the twin actor thing was kinda inspired by the olsen twins? even though that wasn't their main thing here lmao

-> WHAT DOES EVERYONE SAY ABOUT KAEDEHARA KAZUHA?
"If only he was a lyricist, everyone would have some serious competition if he was." writes Sakura Media in their latest author centric piece about Kazuha. Thanks to both his gentle demeanor and heartfelt yet insightful way with words, he's become a recognizable name in many literary circles, his works being incredibly appreciated by critics and casual fans alike. Despite being exclusively a poet at the moment, a huge portion of his fanbase are hoping he pursues other forms of writing such as song writing, or even producing his own book series one day!
-> VEE'S NOTES
a while ago my TikTok fyp was filled with a bunch of people reading out their poems to their cameras, and that's kinda how I imagine kazuha got his start to becoming a well known author?
there's no particular poet on there that I could imagine Kazuha having a similar writing style too, but @/raeganspoetry on TikTok/Instagram was the first social media poet I was into so she deserves her props!

Did you know there are Guardians of the Galaxy novels? Well, there are actually a few!
Here's a brief review / breakdown of the gotg books in my collection. (Not including children's books, retellings of the movies, comics or books that aren't novels.) I love them all and would recommend any of them.
And if there are more out there, I will find them and add them to this list.
The Pirate Angel, The Talking Tree, and Captain Rabbit.
Written by Steve Behling.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A book read from teen Groot's point of view, for the most part, taking place during the flight to Nidavellir with Thor, (during Avengers Infinity War.) It focuses on the dynamic between Thor, Rocket and Groot, while Groot sneakily reads Rocket's journal. Through the journal we get to see Rocket go on missions with the original Groot, with Rhomann Dey and with the Guardians. We see him being the badass he is but also get plenty of insight into Rockets thoughts.
It also includes a short epilogue from Rocket's point of view during the battle of Wakanda.
It's fun and it's humorous with a couple of emotional beats, and an overall enjoyable read which acts as an interlude between Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
This one is aimed at a younger audience (teens I suspect) but I still found it enjoyable.
206 pages, although it would be less if the font wasn't so large.
Marvel Wastelanders: Star-Lord.
Written by Sarah Cawkwell and adapted from the scripted podcast by Benjamin Percy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This one is a novelization of the audio drama 'Marvel Wastelanders', (which I recommend listening to if you haven't.) It's based on the Marvel Wastelanders comics but is an original take on the stories. Includes many comic book characters and comic references but can be read/listened to without prior knowledge of the comics.
It features an old man Star-Lord and Rocket Raccoon as they fight to save Earth from Doctor Doom's takeover. The story is told as a recount of events from a Rigellian Recorder whom they team up with along the way. Rocket and Star-Lord bicker like an old married couple and it's great. It's a good read, and has an interesting plot with a lot of fun characters. However it does have a tragic ending that the story never hid it was always leading up to. It's bittersweet. You might cry, but it's worth the tears.
The voice acting during these emotional scenes in the audio drama makes it worth listening to over reading but both options are good. Personally, I read the book first and then listened to the audio drama on Spotify. Sidenote, the characters in this are not voiced by their movie counterparts.
348 pages of the book, or 10 episodes around half an hour long each of the Star-Lord centric story of the audio drama.
Guardians of the Galaxy: No Guts, No Glory.
Written by M. K. England.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is an official prequel to the Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy video game, (which is an incredible game that takes aspects from both the comics and movies.) Like the game, it's read from Peter Quill's perspective.
It switches between the 'present day' which is a time where the Guardians are only newly formed and struggling as a group, and 12 years before that during the Galactic War where Peter is a young ravager first meeting Nova officer Ko-Rel on Mercury as they battle a Chitauri invasion.
I really enjoyed this book. It's funny, heartwarming and action packed, and embodies the characters very well. I'd recommend it to any fans of the video game. It gives us a great preview of the relationship that Peter and Ko-Rel formed, and on the early dynamic of the Guardians.
If you haven't played the game yet, I highly recommend doing so and then going right ahead and giving this a read. Although in saying that, it'll still make sense if you read it without playing the game prior, it'll just make the experience more enjoyable if you have already played the game.
307 pages.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Collect Them All.
Written by Corinne Duyvis.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This novel is based on the comic versions of the Guardians.
The point of view jumps around between all members of the Guardians, so you get an insight on each of them throughout the story.
In this novel the Guardians embark on a quest to save Groot by collecting all the pieces that have splintered off him and scattered around the galaxy.
Gamora has her own significant arc in this story.
Another solid Guardians tale.
383 pages.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Rocket Raccoon and Groot Steal The Galaxy.
Written by Dan Abnett.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This novel is also based off of the Guardians of the Galaxy comic versions of the characters and was actually written by comic writer Dan Abnett who has written numerous Guardians of the Galaxy comics, along with many other notable comics.
In this novel, Rocket and Groot find themselves teaming up with a Rigellian Recorder on a quest to save the Galaxy. Gamora also pops in for a bit.
The book is read from the point of view of 'Recorder-Dude' as Rocket calls him, with a few interludes read from the pov of other characters.
This book was quite enjoyable. Would read again.
359 pages.
Apologies that the last two weren't as detailed as the other reviews, it's been a while since I've read them. Will have to give them a re-read and edit.

I LOVED episode 6 I honestly thought it was perfect (I know not everyone shares that opinion). but one thing thats been rubbing me the wrong way is that it felt a little too joel centric. I understand its pedro’s swan song for the series and joel’s final episode. but for the arc of the season, I feel like we as viewers really needed more insight into ellie’s psyche during those 5 years. we got a couple subtle things (burning her arm, staring at the fireflies, “you have a greater purpose” drawing) but I fear majority of the audience are not picking up on these subtleties. the amount of people I’ve see call ellie a “snitch” and have absolutely 0 sympathy for her while at the same time saying “ohhh poor joel she was so mean to him” is abysmal. like ellie knows she was mean to joel, knows she wasted precious time and will feel guilty for the rest of her life. you guys missed the entire point. joel lied to her for YEARS. he tried and imo succeeded at being a better father than his own but at the same time he did not break any cycle. he failed ellie in many ways and so many people are ignoring this.
YEAH. YEAH.
I kind of talk about it a little bit in this post here, but I think one of the biggest criticisms I have for the show is the fact that they made episode 6 from Joel's POV.
I thought it was a brilliant episode. You can feel the difference in the quality of the writing when Neil and Halley are at the helm. But I do think that it has swayed a lot of people against Ellie, which is the opposite of what it was meant to do.
In the game, the flashbacks are used the same way they are in the show, but we play as Ellie in the longer ones, and stick with her POV in the pure cutscene ones. When you play as her, you can read her journal with her innermost thoughts, hear the little things she says to herself, feel the difference in how she holds herself around him. Joel is still present in all of them, but we don't see him when Ellie isn't there because that's not the point. It's about Ellie remembering, her living in those moments, hearing his lies and his excuses.
Joel haunts her and the narrative, and we are watching how that effects her and her actions.
This could segue into me talking about the way that people view and treat Joel Miller, especially HBO's version who is played by Pedro Pascal, but that is a can of worms that I am not brave enough to open LMAO... So all I will say is that people are already very sympathetic for HBO Joel because of certain reasons, and shifting the flashbacks to be from Joel's POV has just given more opportunity and reason for people to misunderstand Ellie and her actions, and forgive Joel for things that we weren't necessarily meant to.
But I agree. The shift in Ellie that we saw over those 5 years worth of flashbacks was too subtle for some people at times, and I think that's why it felt like she went from 0 to 100 so quickly, especially during the Gail scene.
And the thing about that is that Ellie knew that she wasn't being kind by doing that. She knew that she was going to hurt Gail by telling her like this, but Joel lying directly to her face was the straw that broke the camel's back. She couldn't take it anymore. Was it selfish? Yes, somewhat. It could have been done in a kinder way, not out in the open and not so harshly, but selfishness is something that Ellie knows so intimately that it's become part of her. She saw an opportunity to make Joel hurt, to let him know that she knows, and she took it. She did it for her and for Gail and for everyone else that Joel has hurt.
I personally couldn't see everything that Joel has done, excuse it, and then not extend that same sympathy and grace to Ellie, but it happens.
And it's commendable how much he has changed and improved over his father, and I do think that if the outbreak didn't happen and Joel didn't have to resort to doing the things that he did to survive that he wouldn't necessarily run into the same issues that he has with Ellie. I think the most that he struggled with Sarah was being home, but that's a struggle that a lot of single parents have to deal with, you know??
But if Joel didn't go through what he did and then have to relearn how to be a father, he would have been a genuinely great father to Ellie.
But he did do those things. He did go through what he did.
He did do better than his father, but he still hurt Ellie repeatedly, and we can't forget that.

Honestly love to see you criticise the phantom musical, like I watched it and thought it was kind of a bad musical with a few good songs, and I feel very validated seeing I'm not the only one who didn't like it 😭
(I mean, each entitled to their opinions and so on, of course, and obviously I don't want anyone to stop liking something just because I'm a hater, but it does sometimes feel like the musical gets way more hype than it should…😅)
I wouldn't be as critical if I didn't at least like it a little but I do wish it didn't over shadow the book so much in the phandom. There are a handful of people who don't love the musical but we are kind of in the minority as the phandom feels very musical centric as a whole. A bad musical with good songs is a pretty valid interpretation. I think it's major weakness is that you have to be at least familiar with the source material, it doesn't stand on its own and as an adaptation it's pretty weak. What saves it are the good songs, the costumes and set design and when you have a strong cast it is an enjoyable watch but not a substantial one. There are moments where the music and lyrics almost make you think you're seeing something deep but if you scratch even a little below the surface there's nothing there. The song masquerade almost tricks you into thinking that there's some deep metaphor going on and everyone is hiding behind metaphorical masks but honestly no one really is. Aside from Erik everyone in this musical is exactly who they appear to be. In a lot of ways Phantom feels a lot like a concept album that needed a little more polish and a couple more scenes to tie it all together. There's a good IDEA here it just needs more fleshing out. ALW gets away with leaving things implied or glossed over because the audience already knows this story. I see a lot of people here and there who will talk about the musical like it has substance but a lot of the depth they assign to it, particularly to Erik himself, either comes from the book and isn't actually shown in the musical or it's their headcanon/interpretation. Erik's use of the punjab lasso? Not really explained at all in the musical. It's just something he has. If you're familiar with the book you know it was from his history as an assassin in Persia. Without the context of the book the musical falls apart in so many places. When you hold phantom up to a more competent musical like Sweeney Todd the lack of depth in narrative and characters becomes that much more apparent. In Sweeney Todd every character has layers and as connections are revealed the story deepens and the stakes only seem to raise. The moral greyness of the characters in Sweeny Todd is also a lot more interesting than in Phantom because it's fully realized. Madam Giry knows who Erik is and has a lot of insight to how he works but not a whole lot about their connection is revealed and it doesn't really pay off in any meaningful way. Who is Madam Giry? Why does she do what she does? What is her motivation? We know none of it, it's just kind of a given thing. Erik is probably the most complex character in the musical but sometimes it feels like ALW can't decide if he needs this character to be a cackling, cape twirling villain or a tragic, romantic hero and I'd be lying if I said there weren't times where I felt like musical Erik was a little too goofy and over the top for me to take him seriously. Especially Ramin Karimloo's version. He spends a lot of time shrieking at the top of his lungs and screaming. And yet I can't totally dislike Phantom because it has JUST ENOUGH good qualities. It's not like I don't understand why people like it or how it got as big as it did. But I do wish people were a little more honest about the actual quality of the writing.

Blog Post #9 - Week 12
How are Black hairstyles "problematic"? The topic of race has been a sensitive topic within American society, in which the little things that make someone unique can be used against their identity, whether it be the color of their skin or even the simplest detail like enhancing their facial features using make-up or simply styling their hair. For Black individuals, they are often discriminated for this type of decision as it is somehow "offensive" and "distracting". But why is that the case when everyone styles their hair in some form? How are Black hairstyles different from the way that other hairstyles are treated? For one, these hairstyles have been seen as a "rebellion, or rejection of Euro-centric standards and features", somehow making hair a political topic for the way it is. Throughout history, anyone who was not considered white or white-passing was automatically treated differently, if not worse, as a way to convey that they were seen as less, sometimes not even considered "human". In Lee's paper, they showcase the example of Angela Davis, one of America's ten most wanted criminals in the 1970s, who was portrayed to the media with the photo of them with an Afro hairstyle. Rather than focusing on the identity of Davis as a whole, it was noted for their hairstyle as a way to convey that anyone with this type of hair was considered a criminal, having the persona of being an anti-American Black individual. Something as simple as a person's hairstyle created a lot of chaos and misrepresentation of both Davis and the Black community, as they could be profiled for just having a similar hairstyle; this adds on to the claim that anything about you can just be used against you as a way of discrimination and oppression, all because you do not fit a certain standard and are not as seen as an "equal", specifically to white individuals who consider themselves as superior.
How can Black identity be reconstructed? One way that Lee shines light on the comeback for Black identity in a world full of oppression against self-identity is the use of blogs and sites run specifically by Black individuals. Influencers like CurlyNikki, whose blog is run under the parent company of NaturallyCurly.com, use their space as a way to help motivate other individuals who have curly hair to embrace that trait of theirs, and that it should not be something that others have to be ashamed of. While the main target audience is mainly Black individuals, it does not mean that those who are not Black do not go through the same type of discrimination experience for the way they look and style their hair. The simple act of gaining support from those similar to you can be enough to "rekindle" a lost flame of learning to love oneself and battling against those who are against the idea of letting you be 'you'.
Can there ever be "consent" within the digital space? In a way, not exactly. In both the "Surveilled" documentary and class discussion on Wednesday, the idea of consent is more of a way to make users within that digital space feel like they have a form of "control" or even have a say in how they move forward. Even if we knew we were guaranteed the control we believe to have and our consent of whether we agree or disagree is actually respected, the internet is too full of loopholes and individuals who know how to get passed the digital walls that keep outsiders from your information. With the documentary, one of Ronan's connections, Elies Campo, he reveals an insight in which one of the dangers to being in the business of uncovering the truth about spyware, is that not only are you targeted by those who want to stop you, but others like your family can be at risk too. He states, "The whole family is infected" to emphasize that even with the biggest precautions, the amount of risk and loopholes within the digital space are far too great, and simply having a connection with someone can cause you to lose everything. This type of behavior, from the spread of the spyware, Pegasus, shows that consent is rather just an illusion, and you are more or less forced to agree. The moment you open your phone or even download an app, you are "consenting" without realizing that it allows others to gain your information; even places that you do not visit can find ways to get your data through other companies that you have "consented" to.
How did Halle Bailey's role as "Ariel" gain the wrong attention? To begin, most fairytales and folklore have always been represented with the image of white individuals portraying the characters, and even with Disney, the majority of their characters are portrayed as "white". Because of this, it is not surprising to find this backlash against a Black mermaid, as some were perceived into believing that only white individuals can play these roles, and the history of oppression against people of color adds to this. Unlike stories like "Snow White", where the storyline specifically talks about her having "skin as white as snow" so that it is clear that she is a white princess, "The Little Mermaid" has a little more leniency as the race of "Ariel" is not exactly described, therefore, having a Black mermaid is not entirely absurd. Stories about mermaids are created all over the world, each culture with its own twist on the idea, and the portrayal of Ariel in the live-action is more or less just expanding the diversity of using stories, or folklore, from other cultures, like African culture.

10 Disney hot takes/unpopular opinons (Part 6)
Tumblr media
Check out part 5 here. (Should I just use roman numerals instead of the actual numbers?)
Tumblr media
Disney doesn't need to change their 3D animation style--I've heard people say Disney should change up their 3D style, similar to how their 2D films had different styles while still feeling like Disney. I disagree, since I quite like their default style, especially compared to Pixar and Dreamworks (who, at worst, feel too cartoon-y and thus like they should've been 2D instead).
Tumblr media
2. I wasn't a huge fan of "The Princess and the Frog"--While I love the characters, the animation, and Tiana/Facilier's songs, I'm not a fan of jazz music, so the soundtrack never stuck to me, and I've never enjoyed animal-centric movies (save for where they're in a humanoid environment). That said, this film is SO underrated.
Tumblr media
3. Even the good guys kinda did Quasimodo wrong--While I love Phoebus and don't hate the gargoyles, the writers make them look bad by being inconsiderate of Quasimodo's feelings. After being sheltered his whole life, he becomes humiliated (through no interference from the villain, which I appreciate) on his first outing and "ruins" everything. Phoebus doesn't understand how manipulated and hurt Quasimodo is by pressuring him to help him find the Court of Miracles, and the gargoyles telling Quasimodo that they thought he was made of something stronger than stone was hurtful considering his involvement with Phoebus accidentally led to the Romani people being imprisoned and Esmeralda about to be burned at the steak. There's a better way to motivate people than "they're you're friend/I thought you were stronger than this."
Tumblr media
4. "Big Hero 6" is the most deserving (modern) Disney movie to have a sequel--Action movies are the most likely to get sequels in the live-action world if they make enough money, and the world of San Fransokyo is so interesting as a Japanese-American hybrid. I think this is more open-ended and structured for more storytelling than the fairy tale films. BH6 only made slightly less than "Moana," so the audience is there, instead of moving it to a tv show like "Tangled."
Tumblr media
5. "Wish" should be on the Disney remake list--I don't need to explain myself. The movie was average at best, awful at worst, and if Disney ever decided to remake it (unlikely since it bombed, unless they're gonna remake EVERY animated film in their studio), they could use the OG concepts and give Julia time to rewrite her songs and make new/better ones.
Tumblr media
6. "Why Me" isn't better than "Prince Ali (Reprise)"--I felt like WM was a bit too showtune-y, and while it provided more insight into Jafar's motivation, it should've done more if it was going to bring it up. Why wasn't he appreciated? Why was he looked down on? Don't give us a last-minute insight into the villain and then be vague about it. It could've been a cool way to flesh him out.
Tumblr media
7. Jennifer Lee was made to take the fall for "Wish"--This is kind of an ignorant thing to say since I don't have all the details, but a theory I've considered is that Jennifer Lee, who was the CEO of Walt Disney Animation from 2018 to 2026, was removed from that position due to the failure of "Wish," which she co-wrote and co-directed. Given that "Wish" likely had exec interference, I think Disney wanted to show audiences that they were reacting to the poor box office performance by kicking off someone who was a big part of the creative team. To be fair, a Disney movie takes about 5 years ("Wish" was conceived towards the end of production of "Frozen 2"), meaning she could've only had a major hand in "Strange World" and "Wish," while "Raya and the Last Dragon" and "Encanto" were already underway with production when she became CEO--unless we get some production insight into Raya's last-minute crew/story change and if anything went amiss at "Encanto." Given that she worked significantly on "Wreck it Ralph" and "Frozen," Disney probably thought she was one of a kind (not saying she isn't), and thus promoted her quickly thanks to the movie's successes, only to panic when their 2022 and 2023 films bombed, especially when they had big plans for "Wish" as their anniversary film. As a result, they took her out of the equation and replaced her with Jared Bush, who is in a similar situation to her (only worked significantly on two films before being promoted), though he hasn't hit a snag in his films yet.
Tumblr media
8. Disney should make (another) parody movie--Enchanted was a hybrid film, and "Frozen" was meta, but having a smartly-written comedy that parodied Disney films would be a good way to get the audience back on their side, particularly since many people think we're in a dark age now. HOWEVER! While "Enchanted" was made to parody all of Disney's eras up to the 21st century, it felt mostly derived from the classic Golden, Silver, and Bronze ages of Disney. I'd rather the new parody be influenced by the renaissance to revival eras.
Tumblr media
9. Sequels should be discussed IMMEDIATELY--When I say "immediately," I'm not just slamming Disney opting to change the "Moana" series into a film 10 months before release (and giving them little wiggle room for alterations). By "immediately," I mean once the film's final box office is recorded, that's when the company should discuss franchising/sequels, rather than it feeling like a spur of the moment thing. Plus you can plan according, rather than them happening in quick succession (as the case with 2024, 2025, and 2027).

10. "Hocus Pocus" should've been an animated musical--I would've loved seeing a New England setting that took place only 100 years after the Sanderson Sister's death instead of 300, allowing for a medieval (well, technically Early Modern) setting, and I'd have loved to hear what the soundtrack would've been like. Plus Disney didn't have any animated releases in 1993, so that could've worked out.

ok sorry but i do firmly believe that the death note anime suffers from how much it cuts of matsuda. this isnt just my Blorbo Bias btw, matsuda is a really important character in the manga and so much of the stuff they cut would have made the anime, especially the second half, make more thematic and structural sense like. matsuda is the only character who visibly struggles with the morality of kira throughout the manga, starting from one of his first appearances and going all the way through after soichiros death. like!!! he is the medium through which light's "good guy" persona publicly engages with the morality of kira!! everyone else knows exactly where they stand, but matsuda doesn't and that allows him to be an audience surrogate and vehicle for the ideological struggles of the story. and so much of that is just cut from the anime so you have Zero ideological conflict in an anime about a scenario RIFE for that conflict. the final chapter of death note is a matsuda-centric chapter that was never adapted, but it turns near's final plot from supremely stupid to supremely ethically ambiguous and thought-provoking, offering insight into near's character! not to mention all the smaller details, like matsuda pretending to be L to mello, which both answers the question of "why didn't mello go after the task force/continue threatening sayu once he had the notebook" AND sets up his later offer to take the shinigami eyes, which the anime kept. im also lowkey salty they cut matsuda reaching out to light in sympathy at the very end — it really serves to highlight just how pitiful and human light is as he dies. and thats not even getting INTO the Bisexuality. like i know they had limited time, and a lot of the stuff they cut definitely does make sense to cut like the looney tunes ass mogi adventures, but.
anyway.

As a longtime fan who realized she’s a trans woman, I feel confused as to how the abyss and your content will serve me now as I am. What can I do for the abyss now that I’m not a cismale himbo?
Congrats on that realization! Feminine audiences have always been a bit of a blind spot for me and the abyss, because there's so much female (and even specifically in your case transwoman)-centric hypnotic offerings out there. I can't vouch as to whether it's good or not, but there is certainly a lot of it. That being said I still think the concepts I write about can be beneficial to everyone. Indulging in transformation and corruption. Transgression and taboo. Accepting the darker and lighter parts of yourself towards ascension. The files are and probably will be into the future, coded for male/masculine listeners. But I'm certain that a little later this year i'll put out some more neutral offerings. But the writings on this blog will always be free and open and I think everyone can benefit from the insight. And there are elements from all the archetypes that everyone can integrate into them.
The abyss is all encompassing and will expand over the earth. Embrace that truth.

Steve Rogers + Hydra Trash Party: A Valentine's Day Rec List
Happy Valentine's Day! There's nothing more romantic to me than absolutely terrible things happening to my favorite fictional men, so please enjoy this list of all my Steve-centric HTP faves.
I know these are not for everyone, so this first fic is a cute story where Hydra accidentally turns themselves into cephalopods:
The Better to Hug You With by Lauralot (@lauralot89) (General Audiences | 1,740 words | No Archive Warnings Apply)
Summary: As he's stepping off the Metro, Steve catches a glimpse of waving tentacles in his peripheral vision. An octopus is wriggling onto the platform. He's entering the Triskelion when it happens again: a flash of tentacles in the corner of his eye, this time roping around a filing cabinet. Clearly Steve needs more sleep.
Everything after this is more HTP-typical non-con and violence, so proceed with caution and be sure to check the tags before reading.
[Podfic] A Hostile Work Environment read by sallysparrow017 (Explicit, 45-60 Minutes, Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings)
Note: The original has been deleted but at least we still have a great podfic version of this amazing fic
Summary: Podfic of stoatsandwich's 'A Hostile Work Environment' Five times Captain America fantasized about being gang-raped by the STRIKE Team, plus one more.
Blood from a Stone by shinelikethunder (tenlittlebullets) (@shinelikethunder) (Explicit | 23,651 words | Graphic Depictions Of Violence, Rape/Non-Con)
Summary: Once you passed a certain point in the hierarchy, getting ordered to do shit like lead a gangbang on Captain America was a surprise but not a shock. Fill for a hydratrashmeme prompt requesting a Hydra/Steve gangbang where Steve has been dosed with aphrodisiacs to force him to get off. Or, a trash party dumpster travesty in two acts:Act 1: Steve Rogers: World's Most Defiant Hydra Party FavorAct 2: Post-Rescue Hurt/Comfort: Now With Bonus Steve/Sam Sex Pollen Dubcon Also available as a podfic read by sallysparrow017
Catastrophe (Breeds Strength) by sock_bealady (Explicit | 21,272 words | Graphic Depictions Of Violence, Rape/Non-Con, Underage)
Summary: Not long after the events of Iron Man 3, the Avengers are captured by what they thought were friends. Rumlow promises they won't remember a thing. Steve is starting to hope he's right.
For What it's Worth by throttlegainwell (@throttlegainwell) (Explicit | 11,654 words | Graphic Depictions Of Violence, Rape/Non-Con)
Summary: When he found the safehouse, after it had been scoured for evidence, he’d personally taken it down to studs. He recognized the room from the tape. What he hadn’t recognized so far was any of the men from the tape. None of them had surfaced, none had been so involved in Project Insight that they hadn’t run for the hills when defeat was on the air. And he knew their faces. He knew them. He knew their ugly jeering voices and their obnoxious laughs and their appendectomy scars and at this point he might even recognize their dicks at a urinal. He’d know them the second he saw them. If he saw them. Part of him hoped that Bucky wouldn’t, but Bucky seemed to remember a lot more than he claimed, so it seemed a stretch too far. As he rather violently found out seven months later, on a side street in Prague at two thirty-three in the morning, it was.
Four Across by justanotherStonyfan (Explicit | 5,728 words | Graphic Depictions Of Violence, Rape/Non-Con)
Summary: Written for a prompt on the Hydra Trash Meme -So say HYDRA uses the Winter Soldier to seduce people as a spy as well as to assassinate people. Some people like it vanilla, some people like to dominate him - and some people want to be dominated by him. He's conditioned to be dominant when triggered by a certain word or phrase. There's a word/phrase to turn dom!WS off too, but the character of your choice has no idea what it is. They didn't mean to trigger this aspect of the Soldier, they just happened to say the wrong thing.
Give Me Your Filth by Dira Sudis (dsudis) (@dsudis) (Explicit | 15,378 words | Graphic Depictions Of Violence, Rape/Non-Con)
Summary: "I don't care," Bucky said. "I don't care which one was you and which one was someone else. You're underneath me now. It's my turn. I do things now, and you lie there and take it." This was going to hurt.
I Remembered You Were Mine by hobbitdragon (Explicit | 4,455 words | Rape/Non-Con)
Summary: Steve awakes in a strange place with a familiar face standing over him. He has no idea where he is or how he got there, but at least Bucky is with him. Also available as a podfic read by Tipsy_Kitty (@tipsyxkitty)
Man in the Box by buckybleeds (@buckybleeds) (Explicit | 29,239 words | Graphic Depictions Of Violence, Rape/Non-Con)
Summary: This is the fic I've been referring to as "the horrible boxfic." Hydra wins and Steve gets put into a put into a sex vending machine in the Strike team locker room.
Mnemosyne by MilesHibernus (Explicit | 6,924 words | Rape/Non-Con)
Summary: Steve's working on dealing with a mission gone wrong when Bucky comes in from the cold.
Salt by throttlegainwell (@throttlegainwell) (Mature | 7,168 words | Rape/Non-Con)
Summary: Memory is inconvenient – for so many reasons, in so many ways. Bucky’d read the books and seen the movies and, frankly, lived the horror show. He knew the misconceptions that people so easily believed. Memories weren’t like movies; they’re not so neat, not so cleanly edited, not so purposeful. They’re just bits of collected and confusingly collated data. Attempting to get around that fact, as had so been the case for the treatment of his mind, was unnatural.
Show You How by justanotherStonyfan (Explicit | 10,567 words | Rape/Non-Con)
Summary: Written for a prompt on the Hydra Trash Meme:Rumlow and Steve have started fooling around sometime shortly before the events of CA: TWS. They've done stuff - they've probably sucked each other off, maybe some fingering, whatever - but Rumlow hasn't actually fucked Steve yet. Steve is still a virgin in the sense of not having had penetrative sex, at least with a dude. Steve is taken into custody, maybe after the bridge fight if they didn't get rescued. He gets taken to whatever horrible gang-bang cell exists in the HYDRA sub-basement with Rumlow and other random thugs. Rumlow says something with super mean fake tenderness like, hey, sorry I've kept you waiting this long to get your cherry popped, but I really wanted it to be the right moment . Which, of course, is going to be right now in front of everybody. Up to the writer if other people then get involved too. Bonus points if Steve isn't particularly naive; he knows there's stuff Rumlow isn't telling him or maybe even that he's being played in some way, but obviously doesn't know the extent of it and is enjoying the sex and the general human contact/comfort before horrible things start going down.
The Wolf by ipoiledi (@ipoiledi) (Explicit | 5,114 words | Graphic Depictions Of Violence)
Summary: So it started that way: a harmless joke.
to burn your kingdom down by glorious_spoon (@glorious-spoon) (Explicit | 12,370 words | Graphic Depictions Of Violence, Rape/Non-Con)
Summary: The Avengers go after a Hydra splinter cell with a nasty habit of brutalizing their prisoners. Steve has some ugly history with them, and when a rescue mission gone wrong leaves him and Sam in enemy hands, the situation gets uglier still.
TsumBody to Love by buckybleeds (@buckybleeds) (Explicit | 7,067 words | Rape/Non-Con)
Summary: *handwavium* Bucky and Steve are now tsum tsums and Brock's gonna fuck 'em and they're going to be sad and squeaky about it.

How Can You Improve Conversion Rates in Digital Marketing?
In digital marketing, conversion rates are the ultimate measure of success. Whether you’re aiming to increase sales, generate leads, or drive downloads, improving conversion rates ensures that your marketing efforts yield tangible results. Knowing the ways to effectively increase your conversion rate is essential for achieving these goals and optimising your campaigns.
This blog explores actionable tips and strategies to improve conversion rates, helping you create a seamless user experience that encourages your audience to take action. By implementing these strategies, supported by experts like a CRO agency, you can transform website visitors into loyal customers.
What Is Conversion Rate and Why Does It Matter?
A conversion rate is the percentage of users who complete a desired action on your website, such as making a purchase, signing up for a newsletter, or filling out a contact form. High conversion rates indicate that your audience finds your website engaging and your offerings compelling. It’s a key metric for measuring the success of your digital marketing campaigns.
If you’re looking for tips to increase your conversion rate, start by analysing your user journey and identifying potential barriers. Conversion rate optimisation (CRO) focuses on enhancing the user experience and aligning it with your audience’s intent.
Ways to Effectively Increase Your Conversion Rate
Here are proven strategies to boost your conversion rates in digital marketing:
1. Simplify Your Website Design
A clutter-free, user-friendly website improves navigation and encourages visitors to stay longer. Ensure your site is visually appealing, easy to navigate, and mobile-friendly. Use clear call-to-action (CTA) buttons to guide users toward the desired actions.
2. Optimise Landing Pages
Landing pages play a crucial role in conversions. Focus on:
Crafting compelling headlines.
Using high-quality visuals.
Highlighting benefits with concise, persuasive copy.
Test different layouts and designs using A/B testing tools to identify what resonates best with your audience.
3. Leverage Social Proof
Showcasing reviews, testimonials, and case studies builds trust and reassures potential customers of your credibility. People are more likely to convert when they see others have had positive experiences.
4. Improve Page Load Speeds
Page load speed directly impacts user experience. Slow-loading pages can frustrate visitors, causing them to leave before taking action. Use tools like Google PageSpeed Insights to diagnose and improve performance.
5. Personalise User Experiences
Tailored experiences make users feel valued. Use tools to analyse user behaviour and deliver personalised recommendations, dynamic content, and targeted offers.
6. Streamline Forms
If your goal is lead generation, simplify your forms. Ask only for essential information to reduce friction and increase the likelihood of users completing the form.
7. Collaborate with Experts
Partnering with a conversion rate optimisation agency in Australia can help you implement advanced CRO techniques. Experts bring a wealth of experience, ensuring you maximise your marketing ROI.
Best Practices for Conversion Rate Optimisation
Test Regularly: Continuously test and tweak elements such as CTAs, images, and layouts.
Focus on Customer Pain Points: Address common objections or concerns within your content.
Analyse Data: Use analytics tools to track user behaviour and identify drop-off points.
Follow Up: Implement retargeting campaigns to engage users who didn’t convert initially.
Conclusion
Improving conversion rates in digital marketing requires a combination of user-centric design, data-driven insights, and effective strategies. By focusing on the ways to effectively increase your conversion rate, you can achieve better results and drive significant growth. For expert guidance, consider collaborating with CRO agencies or seasoned SEO marketing professionals who can help elevate your campaigns.
