the thing is if 'jimmy is an adult playing a block game with his friends you dont know him' is something that can be brought into an argument against scott the character being abusive you are implying that jimmy the character has some kind of transcendent knowledge that his true form in real life has acknowledged that he and scott are friends and nothing that happens to his character is real and everything is happy and consensual. and like. if you want to have this interpretation of the life series thats completely fine but itd be pretty fucking boring . imagine if after jimmy permadied in 3rd life scott the character went 'hey its ok that jimmys just died because im having coffee with him next week' and we all just accepted this as part of the storyline. to acknowledge jimmy and scotts irl friendship and consent position you also have to acknowledge every single other cc irl factor and you would then be left with zero storyline other than 'so these people are roleplaying in minecraft but it doesnt matter because none of it is real' which imo is a pretty fucking boring way of analysing/interpreting roleplay.

When you mention how strong Inumaki is (mind you he was classified as a Grade 2 in his first year and reached Semi-Grade 1 by his second year) and make a joke of how he's not Special Grade because just with a word he managed to create a big ass deep hole in the ground while almost killing someone...

Question: does power scaling actually all some of you like to do?

First of all, the post wasn't meant to be taken seriously.

Second, why even undermine Inumaki like that? What did he do?

Third, let's not act as if the Special Grades don't have weaknesses. They do have weaknesses. They're not invincible. They're powerful.

Let's not forget they had to start from somewhere and if you're gonna pull the "isn't just really strong" card then someone explain why Yuta was immediately classified as Special Grade when he barely scratched the surface of jujutsu? So it's not skill that valued over power.

Nope! Let's be honest, the ranking system of grades pretty much invalidates what some of the sorcerers are capable of. It's a power system that can be used to abuse some.

If a sorcerer is ranked high enough, they're likely to be placed on more dangerous missions. They can be overused and worn out from constantly being assigned on said missions (Look at Geto and Gojo) or killed. The system can also be used to hold back those who should deserve to be acknowledged for their strength. Maki is a prime example of that.

So let's not act as if the ranking system is so flawless and concrete. Don't defend that system.

In the case of Inumaki, yes, his technique is hard for him to handle, but it is capable of great damage and help. Inumaki was able to gather crowds of people to safety (before Sukuna decided to do what he did) in Shibuya. He was able to hold off Hanami and again, create that big ass crater in the ground by telling Geto to plummet. His technique is strong and Inumaki is able to handle it for a considerable amount of time. Inumaki also is very mobile and fast.

Some of you be acting like the Higher-Ups with this power scaling bullshit. Sounding like the Zenin clan holding back Maki just to be assholes.
