People against piracy fail to realize that no, I can’t just ‘buy it.’ They stopped making DVDs and Blu-Rays. They’re barely offering digital copies for download. I am not spending money I could use for food or bills to pay for a subscription service just so I can always have access to a beloved piece of media. Especially not when the service will remove media on a whim without concern for how the loss of access to that piece will make its artistic conservation nigh impossible.
For example, I recently learned that Disney+ had an original film called Crater. It’s scifi, family friendly, and seems cool - I would love to buy it as a holiday gift for my little brother! But: it’s exclusive to D+ and THEY REMOVED IT LITERALLY MONTHS AFTER ITS RELEASE.
The ONLY way I can directly access this film is through piracy. The ONLY available ‘copies’ of this film are hosted on piracy websites. Disney will NEVER release it in theaters, or as something to buy, and it may NEVER return to the streaming service. It will be LOST because we aren’t allowed to purchase it for personal viewing. If I can’t pay to own it, I won’t pay for the privilege of losing it when corporate decides to put it in a vault.
So yes, I’m going to pirate and support piracy.

Tartaglia working out with Reader who is not as fond of exercise as he is looks a little like...
Glaring up at him as he pushes down on your shoulders to make sure you squat down far enough. Your thighs are burning. You want to stand up, but he doesn't let you until you hold the squat for five seconds.
“Screw you, Tartaglia,” you snarl at him after you straighten up.
He just flashes you a cheeky smile. “Five more left.”
You scowl at him but start the next squat anyway, making sure to bend enough. He lets go of your shoulder and circles around behind you as you do another.
The next time you sink down into the squat, warm hands wrap around your waist and slide down to your hips as he mirrors your squat. Tartaglia applies pressure, firmly weighing you down so you keep the right position. When he lets you up, his hands travel with you, sliding back up to your waist, his thumb slipping under your shirt to rub circles across your skin. You shiver.
“Two more. C'mon, I know you have them in you. Make them good.”
You groan at him in protest but squat once more with his hands holding down your hips. Then as you sink into your final squat, he lets go to circle around and stand in front of you. His blue eyes track your every movement as you complete the squat on your own, straightening up with an exhale—just to end up chest to chest with him. “Good job,” he croons, taking in the way you pant for breath and your legs tremble from the exercise.
A whine escapes your lips. “Can I be done now?”
“With squats? Yes.”
You sigh in relief and take a wobbly step back from Tartaglia.
He closes the distance, refusing to let you retreat. “Ah, not so fast. You have weights to do. Time to work on these arms!”
You cross aforementioned arms defensively, glare returning instantly. “I hate you.”
“You love me,” he fires back.
“You’re delusional.”
“And you’re going to complete this workout your boyfriend prepared so he can cook dinner as you take a nice, hot shower.”
That does sound nice, even though you know you’re in for at least another half hour of pain. “Pasta?”
“And garlic bread.”
“Fine. I’ll finish your stupid workout.”
You press a quick kiss to his lips. The fond look that appears on his face makes you turn on your heel and stalk off toward the rack of weights, leaving him before he realizes you aren’t too upset about exercising with him after all.

#henry got very very mad at sprig the other day#after a lot of trigger stacking#i had been bed bound for 4 days post tonsillectomy#so none of the dogs had had any interaction or exercise#so they were all stressed and restless#i was in bed and heard hollering and screaming#i ran downstairs and by the time i got there the fight was over and no one was injured#i looked back on the camera and hen had been lying down chewing something#moby was being irritating and trying to get it out of his mouth#hen ignored him#then budge came over and tried to retrieve it as well#hen continued munching and didn't even bother correcting them#but then sprig walked over to see what was going on#and stuck his head in hens mouth#hen gave a slight correction#and then sprig in awkward panic made a move to like mount hen??#and anyway hen just turned around and NAILED him#which was scary because hes never done anything like that before#I'm thinking it's because sprig is entire and also quite a bit larger#and apparently at like 10-12mo their hormones go insane even if they're not acting like jerks?? and it makes neutered males upset?#anyway i'm sure sprig has learnt not to hump hen#but my immediate instinct is to DESEX SPRIG NOW#because all of my dogs have been desexed under a year old#i dont know how to own entire dogs!#but i really really wanna keep spriggy entire until at least 2yrs#anyway Sprig literally just screamed and peed himself which was most of the noise#if needed i'll start separating the old man and the baby regularly so they can have time out from each other#still very good boys#henry#sprig

goddess the body feels sooo good after a workout 🫠
#it feels so warm and heavy and so comfortable omg#have y'all heard about exercise and stretching it is amazing owo#my thighs are super gooey tho like can barely sit and stand#luv it!!!#it feels extra good bc i woke up today super depressed (bc yesterday was rough)#and i just wanted to keep my earplugs in and cry and stay in bed all day#but somehow i managed to get up and walk all the way to the gym#and i worked out for almost 2hrs lol like when i get started i dont wanna leave#i did more on the crosstrainer (my bby i love the crosstrainer) and i dared to use the leg machine i wanted#i could adjust the seat this time phew. and i tried just one bump heaver weight for everything too#owoowowow and for some reason i didnt totally wanna throw up when i had to observe myself in the mirror skskk#so yeah it was a good session today ^-^#as always tho i do feel stupid and inadequate... bc almost everyone who is there is in great shape#and they know what they're doing and they're doing complicated exercises with very heavy weight and im there#with my 2kg dumbells getting strains in my wrists (im careful tho dw!!!!!)#im definitely doing it at a very low level but last time i worked out was before my knee got fucked and before all of these weird pains#😃😃😃 so im not even as strong as i was when i was overweight.. i never felt weak when i was#but i go to the gym because i enjoy it since it's fun and even the low intensity stuff i do makes my body feel nice#and if i keep going regularly for years maybe i'll also get in good shape and do more and more stuff#i wanna be a gym bunny!!!!!!#i used to actually love the gym so much i wanted to work at one skksks

Me: I should probably clean my room, unpack, find my laptop and finish the work tasks that were due yesterday
Also me: I think I'm going to hot glue flowers, vines, and ribbons to a basket instead :)
#no my room is so bad it even hurts my chronically messy soul#i moved back in with my parents in May and im terrible at unpacking#so everything is just strewn about because i just pulled shit out of boxes when i needed them and never put them anywhere productive#and i just got back from my summer camp job. i still need to digitize my inventory and write my closing report#it was supposed to be done before i left camp but i convinced them to let me do it by monday#today is tuesday#part of the reason i havent done it is because my laptop is lost in this mess#last thing im procrastinating is ren faire prep#truly its not much prep just adding vines and flowers to a basket and needing to try on my whole outfit#and practice my makeup and hair#makeup will be light bcuz i dont know how to do makeup#so im just doing some lipstick and glittery highlight#and i need to figure out what to do with my hair. i have a tiara that i might see about fastening into the braids#or i may braid ribbons into my hair. gotta test to see whoch one i like better#i am so fucking excited for ren faire bcuz im going with my gf and some of her friends#im so excited to meet her friends and spend time with her outside of the summer camp we worked at together#AND im going to do her hair and she asked me to braid ribbons into her hair so im so excited#i just need to practice some braids to figure out how i want to do her hair and practice braiding in ribbons#i fucking love doing hair and i cant wait to do hers. ive done single strand braods for her before BUT#she has long beautiful hair and ive been wanting to try more braids on her and i think i have an idea of what i want to do#but instead of doing anything productive. i am sitting in bed. doing nothing#(spoiler alert its because every time i leave camp i get treated to a terrible depressive episode)#(its because i lose the routine and sunshine and exercise and social aspect of camp probably)#(now worsened by the terrible state of my room and the passing of one of my rats while i was at camp that i just learned about)#anyway im doing fine. gonna go do something now ig

Unfortunately any burst of energy and willpower I have is during work hours and my body deflates as soon as we're off clock and weekends are for groceries and resting after a work week 😔

the good news is i am blowing through project things in spite of being sick but the bad news is I Am Sick and my chest hurts from coughing so hard and also my skin is doing the thing where it randomly becomes extremely dry and raw because of the weather
