I’d love to know why Louis is ONCE AGAUN forced to stunt! WTF! Why?!!!

I understand your frustration but this is sadly the reality for a lot of closeted people in the industry. And if you look at what happens in the US and so many other countries at the moment, I think it's really clear why Louis and Harry decide to stay in the closet for now, and stunting to appear straight is part of that.

And as much as a lot of us hate it, it's a big part of the industry in general too. Not only for queer people, a lot of stars use this for several different reasons, mostly to promote a project of theirs, stay relevant and create stories that will keep their names in the press.

Apart from that I don't really see Louis or Harry being forced to do it anymore. If they are stunting now, it's definitely something they agreed on. And that doesn't mean that it's their fault, it means I think they have more ability to have a say in things since they started their solo careers.

I hate Damian's new longer hair and sidebang look because I really do feel like, for the first time, DC is really trying to homogenize him into "Robin."

Like not only do they not give him a distinguishably darker skin tone 9.9 times out of 10, but now they are literally giving him the default Robin™️ hairstyle as well as a much more laid back personality and more Soft Boy™️ traits that feel straight out of a x Wattpad reader fic from 2015.

Y'all can say he's "developing as a character" or "growing up" all you want, but what I see is DC forcing him to fit in a box he never belonged in in the first place, and as someone who's been following his journey since 2009, I don't want Damian to be Robin if Dick isn't his Batman. He didn't want to be Robin if Dick wasn't his Batman. He was never supposed to be Robin without Dick as his Batman.

Literally and figuratively.

Lazarus Island was finally a step forward towards Damian developing into his own, and then Batman & Robin took him five steps back. He is regressing before my eyes into the same indistinguishable bird blob as the rest of them that in 10 years people are going to post pics of this era more than any prior and be like "is this dick damian jason or tim???" and it's so dissappointing.

I just want him to be his own character without the weight of the legacy of the mantle that comes with being specifically at Bruce's side. Give it to a character who already fits the archetype without having to change themselves to...like Maps Mizoguchi. TY and gobbless. 🙏

MASSIVE SPOILER for one of the endings.

it's been a while since i tried looking, but i did hear that something like this happens last year and over time started to think, "was it a fluke?" bc no one posted footage or caps of it then, and i aimed for a completionist run in my first playthrough. turns out it's real! and definitely shines a new light on a character that, for most other types of playthroughs, will not give this much emotion! Q: The non-linearity of time and how it will be related to the nature of the Town are also core story components. How did this affect design and direction?

A: Connecting non-linear time with a long, narrative-heavy story that involves many characters and cause-and-effect chains would be extremely difficult. We focused on what the player feels in the moment rather than on gathering information in the right order. The latter approach works well in shorter formats like Her Story or 12 Minutes, but in Pathologic, it would be overwhelming.

We wanted players to feel like “everything, everywhere, all at once”—similar to Billy Pilgrim in Slaughterhouse-Five. Different versions of reality coexist simultaneously, creating a “quantum” feeling for the player. Look at the time travel mechanic as an opportunity to correct mistakes, or even to make deliberate mistakes in order to unlock new paths and ideas. It is like a "sanctioned save scum."

Q: Conversely, how will it (Pathologic 3) connect to and consider the events and characters in Pathologic 2?

A: Consider it as two subjective retellings of the same events. This is the same Town, the same twelve days, the same participants and events that occurred in the Haruspex’s story. But this is a different perspective. Like two witnesses recounting the same event in Rashomon, the stories vary greatly, each focusing on different details. Finally, we always give our heroes the right to make honest mistakes, forget, and even lie. Every narrator is an unreliable narrator.

Q: How did Pathologic’s previous philosophical explorations help inform or play into the narrative and themes here?

A: Everything we now see as true and valuable, we’ve kept. Everything we’ve outgrown, like childhood clothes, we either reimagined and reinterpreted to give these ideas new meaning, or let go of them. After all, we’ve grown a lot (hopefully, along with the industry). When I first conceived Pathologic, I was 21 and completely alone. Now I’m 47, surrounded by incredibly talented people who enrich this universe as much as I do, and that makes a difference.

We’ve kept the idea of the tragedy of utopian projects. We kept the idea that the plague is a voice of the natural order—one that the thinking human mind cannot accept—and that it has its own truth. We retained the belief that evil cannot be defeated with its own tools or outplayed on its field; yet it can be defeated realistically in a different, orthogonal way. In another dimension.

Q: It’s mentioned that the Bachelor is searching for an immortal man in Pathologic 3. Can you say if this is in reference to Mark Immortell?

A: No, there’s no connection between Simon Kain (one of the town’s rulers) and Mark Immortell (the director of the town theater). Mark is a clown. He awkwardly mimics Simon, parodying him, which is why he takes on this pseudonym. He's fully aware that he’s a jester, and the gesture itself is ironic.

Q: What do you hope players will take away most from Pathologic 3?

A: The hope that humanity remains a promising and capable species.

Fun note of the specific pronoun situation with the translation errors between Wasp and Bugnish: under normal circumstances, Jayde would get automatically assigned he/him in Bugnish, since she uses the standard "non-queen social bug" pronouns that roughly 95% of the Wasp Hive do, which get translated to drone pronouns in Bugnish due to a roughly century-old miscommunication. She gets assigned worker pronouns in Bugnish specifically because those are what Kabbu defaults to with social bugs, and other people picked it up from him during introductions. This Will Be A Point Of Confusion For Her Whenever She Asks About It.

okay now that ive finished nightvale im listening to within the wires, ive listened to the first 2 seasons and have just barely started the third, and i just kinda wanna have an idea of where things are going but i dont want to spoil stuff for myself, so if anyone can answer WITHOUT spoilers:

do things get better, or does it just keep being an anthology series showing snapshots of life in this fucked up utopia? bc its Really Good so far but its also giving me this weird anxiety and making me sad and im just wondering like. if theres gonna be any relief at all to that later. or if i should just expect continuing snapshots without much change.

Do you really not see how you are twisting Jk’s words just to deny that Tae and wooga left him behind? He said it himself that they went snowboarding and it was so much fun that he thought they were going to stay and do it again the next morning but the others said they were leaving after snowboarding on that day, so they left and he stayed behind. There might be some nuances in the translation that we miss or some context but the general idea is that even though he wanted to stay and snowboard the next day, the others didn’t but he did.

The way he explained it showed that he didn’t hold any ill feelings towards them for leaving without him but I guess that might put a question mark on things for those who believe they are dating because it is very unlikely that a couple would go to a ski resort for a short vacation and one of them gets left behind because the other one wanted to go back home with friends. Jk also said he thought all of them would stay back to snowboard the next morning which means that Tae couldn’t have left because of schedules because if he had schedules then Jungkook would have known that he had to leave because of schedules and wouldn’t have thought that he would stay back. It also shows that they probably hadn’t decided or had a set schedule for how long they were going to stay there because if they did, they others probably wouldn’t have abruptly left. So maybe Tae and his friends had their fill of the activities and fun, got tired and wanted to go home while Jk still wanted more so it is normal that friends would leave which is why Jk didn’t seem offended that he was left there alone but it is very different if it is your partner leaving you alone at a ski resort to go back home with friends and seeing as Jk still listened to the song about 30 more times after they all left him there and still thinks of the song fondly, it is very unlikely that him liking the song has much to do with the company he was in when he first heard the song.

Okay, so. No one needs to hear me out on this. I’m just saying. One day I’m going to crack and heave out all my biting commentary about Naruto gender and clan and lineage politics through the lens of an always-a-different-sex Kakashi fic or outline, and it’s just going to… exist… out there.

No one else gets changed, it’s just Kakashi, and it’s going to be a nightmare from start to finish that’s definitely also heavily tinged by my personal perspective on being agender aro ace.
