Greetings! To start of: I ABSOLUTELY ADORE YOUR ARTSTYLE!!! the way the characters look both round/softer yet very adorable, the color scheme, the way you render and so much more!!!
Sorry if this is a bit intrusive but... may you kindly with cherries on top give a lil' tutorial on how you do anatomy? If you want to do it of course...
HI GWAAHHH THANK YOU WHAT !
sacondly..... not intrusive at all!!! i'd be happy to explain (im praying you can follow along though cause im horrid at explaining stuff ashdfkahsdf)
im predicting this post will be EXTREMELY long so it will be under a cut :]
play this in the bg for the Full Experience if you want /silly /not forced
OK SOOOO the way i've learned to draw anatomy is by viewing the body as a bunch of "building blocks". this is honestly the way i've learned to draw like. everything (everything is just made of shapes if you look hard enough!!!!!), but anatomy and organic things in general are a big more complicated in the sense that these shapes connect in really weird ways and sometimes (often, depending on the style) can't just be summarized as "circle" and "square"
the way i view bodies is like this! the numbers are mainly there to show the order in which *i* place these blocks, but by no means is this the order anyone has to follow! fuck up the numbers if you want!!!! start from 6 and head to 1 if you want!! whatever makes you happy :]
but after this base sketch is done, you can basically continue drawing details like clothes, facial expressions, hair, etcetc, and soon you can have your very own gay man like the one here (or. whatever youre drawing)! (you'll also notice i tweaked the arm on the left a bit cause it was messing with me)
obviously though theres other body types out there! and luckily this "building block" thing also applies there too!
(drawing armor is also a series of building blocks as well except its less organic and more rigid/shape-y and requires a prayer to the god you hold dear)
(not very well drawn to scale cause i forgor)
you can draw all kinds of bodies if you view the body as just a series of shapes! obviously, your own personal style may impact how many shapes you see/draw, especially for more realistic styles, but generally i view em like this!
for especially complex poses, especially ones that involve perspective, its good to try to view the shapes in a more "3d" way. you can always grab a throwaway canvas/paper and practice some perspective on the side with some super simple shapes! (like how you mightve drawn 3d cubes n stuff on a 1-point or 2-point perspective plane when you were in like 6th grade or smthn i havent been to high school in years i dont remember what the grade is) drawing on the side, especially when you dont take it super serious and just kinda dick around, helps you learn a surprising amount :] if you dont get it down the first time, thats all good! there's always the 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 10th, 500th, 1 billionth, fucktillionth time you can do it :]
as for digitigrade/furry stuff, as well as more specific parts of the body (looking at you HANDS.), they also follow the building block stuff, just kinda in a really weird way!!
as much as i love to draw him, beenilla is literally just a mess of limbs and stuff and it takes a long ass time to draw him sometimes (especially with unique poses), but he also follows the general "building block" stuff too! his is more pronounced since his arms have visible joints, and are more divided into basically a bunch of ovals and circles, but the shapes thing still applies!
for hands and paws, they also do as well (again, just about everything out there is made up of simple shapes!). they definitely take! practice to learn! drawing them can be a pain in the ass but learning them is very worth it :] i personally only draw characters with 4 fingers since its easier for me to do (who needs the pinkie anyways)!
a good thing to check out as well are references from real life *and* studying from other artists and analyzing their works and how they use certain techniques! a majority of what ive learned is from analyzing other artists actually, it's incredibly fun to see how different artists do different things and how they execute them! speedpaints can be wonderful sources of learning for this reason :]
lastly, FUCK AROUND AND FIND OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IM SO SERIOUS sticking with the same old stuff may reinforce the skills you're practicing, but NEVER be afraid of doing new things or diving into new styles and trying a new pose! sure it may look like jank the first couple of times around, but that is the learning process!!!!!!!!!!! to learn new things requires you to *do* new things, and i think theres always time to learn! thats why i think art is such a fun wonderful subject, cause you learn so much from it!!!!!!!!! and you can just do fuckin ! whatever!! just start doin stuff!!!!
i have to leave for work rn so im ending this really abruptly im so sorry but YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my weird tutorial i hope it made sense ajshdfkahsd

Self rec time <3 TAKE TWO
Rules: Share five of your own works (OF ANY KIND CUZ I WANT TO SEE YOUR HYPE). Then, tag five more people to share the things they’ve made.
1. Something you absolutely adore:
2. Something that was challenging to create:
3. Something that makes you laugh or smile:
4. Something that surprised you (how it turned out, how other liked it, etc.):
5. Something you want other people to see:
THANK KEW UR SO KIND FR!!!! THIS SOUNDS FUN SO I LOOKED THRU AND TRIED TO PICK THE MOST FITTING THINGS.......... they're all within a year, maybe 2 or so bc i have very little pieces i still like past that point 🥲
1. i made this during my first year of college, i wanted to do something kind of warm and sweet as a submission for my club's art magazine. i dont think anyone cared abt it too much bc the lgbt population there is. Small to say the least lmao. but i still liked how it turned out! i cant discredit myself for trying to experiment!

2. WHEWWW this one was an art trade and it took 2 months (i felt so bad and still do) and was the first time in a long time doing a big rendered piece so i was super nervous and unsure how i wanted it look. but i think it turned out ok!

3. i love looking back on the very first art from 2 years ago i made of my first active (and still) dnd pc, mimyr!! i still didnt know how i wanted to draw firbolgs' ears yet so you def see a transition there. shes grown and ive grown. i love her 🥺 old on left, newest on right for reference
4. the post these 3 are in is currently sitting at 39k+ notes which is just. so bizarre 😭 i do like how these sketches turned out but i feel like tumblr users will see a titty and go rabid. woman lovers unite
5. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO FOR THIS ONE SO ..... I CHOSE ONE OF MY FAVS IN RECENT YEARS TO SHOW OFF .? this was just a mindless doodle in a group canvas session but i still look back on this all the time bc its one of the most fun ive done in a Long time. been really trying to push myself to experiment with color/brushes that im unfamiliar with and be more sketchy again bc over-rendering makes me so miserable..... this is my happy place for sure
TBH IDK WHO WOULD BE OKAY WITH BEING TAGGED SO . i will leave this open for anyone who wants to join in on it and @ me so i can see too!! 🫵

hi i recently read your message about making makima!reader a poc and completely understand where youre coming from
as someone who isnt a poc, sure, it threw me off every now and then, but its not like i really minded it or thought it changed my reading experience
im currently loving your know no evil story and i think youre an amazing writer, but i think you probably should add a disclaimer at the beginning and in the story masterlist about specifying a noncanon skin color for the more sensitive readers 🤷
idk girlie, you do you, i think youre doing amazing but i just wanted to let you know cause theres a lot of people who get touchy if a reader isnt a fully blank canvas so having a disclaimer puts them more into a spot
if they see it at the beginning and theyre not into that shit, they dont gotta read it yk cause like thats just how things work out here
💀💀💀 Lol, re-read what you typed and then click my page to go to the pinned post and come back… No need to play the "other people may be upset" card. Girly pop, YOU’RE the "other people" who is bothered, but just got the audacity to type it out instead of going about your day, and that’s completely fine. But what’s not fine is wasting MY time and Beyoncé’s internet to say you’re upset that I used "tan" and "brown" for skin tones 😐
My writing aims to be inclusive and reflect the diversity in the world, which includes representing people of color. My stories are for everyone, but they also aim to give representation where it's often lacking.
If a character's skin color or identity isn't to your preference, that’s totally fine. There are countless other stories that emphasizes the "paler" skin tones, I promise—there's some out there for everyone. As for adding a disclaimer, once again, I believe my pinned post already addresses the inclusive nature of my writing, so if your reading comprehension is a bit low, I always make sure to put it in simple terms in bold colors and big letters as well.
Also, this was really weird and tone-deaf, and the fact you did this anonymously is sad (and also the main reason I won’t be doing what you suggested because I can’t tell if this is a joke or not 🤷🏾♀️) but yeah, thanks for reading??
My page is for the majority of the world—people with COLOR. So unless you’re as pale as a white cloud, I can’t help you because my writing is meant to reflect a diverse range of skin tones 😭💔
#‧̍̊˙˚˙xaniresponds-#or you can always write your own books like everyone else👀#this was mad weird#like wow didnt know colors pissed yall off#there are thousands of hair types and skin shades and “tan”/“brown” is the what piss y'all off 😭😭#nobody complained about “pale” blushing” “red face”#tbh#it's okay#the internet is free so do better luv#do better#any this is why i dont answer messages or just ignore it altogether 🙃#‧̍̊˙˚˙xaniwrites-knownoevil ml#bnha x you#bnha fanfic#knownoevil#yanderes#quirks#superheros#villains#league of villains#bnha quirks#katsuki bakugo x reader#izuku x reader#shoto todoroki x reader#class 1a#class 1b#makima chainsaw man#makima csm#makima reader#evil

yza henlo <3 i hope ur well and i know you're so busy and stuff but i was just wondering if you could explain how you make ur watermark look SO good, like it really just blows me away as much as your gifs. i know how make the watermark a shape and place it as a custom object. i guess i'm asking more about the coloring of it? maybe the thickness is the trick. hope i'm not bothering u haskjdf love u!
EZ MY BESTIE WHAT AN ABSOLUTE DELIGHT!!! HIIII 🥹 i'm overjoyed to see u in my notifs 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹
ALSO NAURRR YOURE NEVER A BOTHER DONT EVER APOLOGIZE 😡😡😡 AND THANK U that is so nice of u 😔 hope you're doing much much better its what u deserve <333 and pls nxndjdjdj me n my little watermarks r honored, ure too kind 😭😭
foremost i make them as big as i could before turning them into shapes (the canvas i used was 2500x2500 iirc) which really helps w pixelation esp bc they final output isn't a vector!! also agreed on thickness! if you're going for more decorative ones, i usually use fonts that are on the thicker side as they tend to be more readable from afar. this is esp important to keep in mind bc resizing the final exported shape will be unavoidable since we're not using the same dimensions all the time, and we want them to show up regardless (of size, i.e: 540/268/144px)! aside from that, what i also do is just try to resize them differently as i'm making them just to check if they'll still be readable hehe. otherwise, if it's just plain text it's better to just retain a single size (i.e: a constant font size) based on my experience. this works best w thinner and simpler fonts in my case at least!
as for the coloring, i usually just use white blended as overlay especially if there already are lots of colors in the gif! otherwise, if they aren't visible that way, i use white -> blend it as difference -> double click the shape layer and go to gradient overlay -> choose hard light as the blending mode -> pick colors from the gif to use in the gradient, and that's pretty much it! (sorry i can't include screenshots rn 😭)
hope i was able to give you the answer u were looking for 🥹 if not, pls don't hesitate to shoot a question again any time <333
#sorry to get to this so late i haven't been here in almost a week 😭😭😭😭#also thank u again for being so kind i hope ure having a great one 🥰🥰 MWAH#ezralia 🍄#haylo4ever#y.ask#y.tutorial

reality-is-often-disappointing x denki || gallickingun matchups
@reality-is-often-disappointing : I, have shamelessly came here on note for a first tier matchup. MHA, my hobbies are a wild variety that includes mainly singing -as i have an ' amazing' alto voice- writing, drawing -in pencil mainly but also acrylics on canvas- I'm good at cooking -better thank baku if I do say so myself- reading fanfics obv, fangirling/gushing over hot guys with the girls yk? my dress code is ultimate modesty as i dont like showing skin, yet it's classy chic, very picky while shopping yes. my favorite colors are blank and vintage pink. aesthetic is more cutsie unicorn colors -my rooms main colors- but i actually only ever like wearing black. i do know how to swim but cant because *da-dun* i have dry eyes/also wear glasses. my favorite food is dark chocolate w/ those bits of cherries or oranges. as a first date i'm open to anything from a movie in or out, to walks on the beach or even just the arcade. i'm a she/her, and currently feeling like i'm going for a guy as a match triggers: only degradation or backtalking, it makes me anxious, a paranoid mess and i'll most definitely end up crying without even noticing. 165cm or 5'5 dark natural black hair (the 80s lion cut up to collarbone & a fringe) eye color, theyre black/brown when in sunlight. im white with a med and warmish olive undertones, natrually rosy cheeks -holy dark circles- full brows and what i've been called as "doll-like-eyes" or "cat-eyes" since theyre big and long naturally curled lashes. My birthday is on 31st of october, scorpio, INFP personality to cut short for you! I'm a child-free spirited but also am like-mature at maximum effort. I either sleep 3 or 16 hours there is no inbetween (once slept for 24 hrs but I'm not going to talk about how that freaked everyone out) I've been singing since I was three or since I've remembered. Secretly wanted to go on those x-factor shows but bleh, no. Fame is not really for me. Anywho, love you! Have fun with this and drink water! 🎵
Thank you so much for sending in the request for this! You’re such a gem, I really appreciate every time I get the pleasure of interacting with you, darling 🧡
― Denki would love the fact that you sing! He thinks you have a beautiful voice, and even if you’re across the house, if he hears you start to pick up a tune, he’ll join in! ― I think the two of you would pull all nighters together some nights, and other days sleep until you’ve passed the whole weekend by without doing much of anything. Denki can stay up until the sunrise, or he can sleep until noon, whatever you want to do! ― He loves your free spirit, it makes it easy to take you on adventures and experience the world with you.
⁂ Denki will randomly offer to pick you up from work, and the two of you will drive a couple of hours to the countryside or the beach - windows down, music blaring, singing until your throats are numb - and you’ll spend a night or a weekend away from the world, just wrapped up in each other.
⁂ He’s a horrible cook, absolutely terrible. Kaminari loves that you cook dinner most nights, because not only does he get to eat your delicious food, he also gets to praise the heck out of you for preparing a wonderful meal. He really adores it when you make too much and he gets to take the leftovers to work the next day. Of course he brags about you to all of the other heroes, and he really loves the note you leave on top of the tupperware.
⁂ Even if the two of you aren’t actively together, you’ll still stay up late. Sometimes you watch Kaminari while he plays video games, laying on the couch with your legs over his lap while he mashes the controller buttons and speaks to whoever is on the other side of the headset. In between each match or round, he’ll slip the headphones off his ears and run his palm along your calf, massaging your leg, “Whatcha doin’, babe?” And he’ll listen to you drone on about whatever YouTube video you were watching, whatever thing you’re reading, or whatever social media event has gotten your attention.
⁂ He learns how to harmonize in order to compliment your voice better. He shows it off one night when you’re singing along while cooking dinner - Denki sidles up behind you, arms around your waist, and starts to harmonize in your ear along with the song you’ve been captivated by for the last few weeks. You feel warm at the sound of his voice, and even more so due to the effort he’s put in to prove to you that your interests are his interests. And boy, is he interested in you.
⁂ Kaminari will be down to try all kinds of fruit chocolates with you - you guys even play a roulette style game where you have to guess what kind of fruit is hidden within the chocolate. You win, mostly, because Denki just wants to stuff his face with sugar so fast that he doesn’t recognize the fruit chunks. But he still plays and is in awe of you getting every single one right because you never fail to amaze him.
Denki slips in through the doorway, sliding off his shoes in favor of his house slippers as quietly as possible. He notices that the television is still flickering on and off, images bouncing off the glass of the window panes scattered throughout the living room walls. A chuckle parts his lips when he sees you curled up in one of his old hero merch designs - a hoodie that is too large for you, so big that it would seem it has swallowed you whole. Your legs are curled into your chest and your head rests on the arm of the couch, gentle snores making your nostrils shudder.
He tries to pick you up, slipping his arms carefully beneath your frame. But somehow you stir, your eyes peeling open lazily as you smack your lips, slowly sinking away from the realm of slumber. A gentle smile tugs on your lips and you frame his face with your hands, “Another late night?”
“Duty calls,” his voice does not sound as excited as it once did to get those midnight rings from the agency. Now, he just aches to be at home with you at the decent hours of the night, where he can hold you and fall asleep with you and remember why he fell in love with you all over again, every time he gets the faintest of whiffs of your perfume or your shampoo.
“Dinner is in the oven,” you are murmuring, your head lolling against his chest as he settles you into his hold, “I waited for you to start the next season.”
Kaminari is laughing, but the sound of it sobers you up and you grab him by the collar of his jacket with the one arm that is listening to you tell it how to move, the other pinned between your bodies, “H-Hey, don’t laugh at me! I waited for you to start it, now we’re gonna start it.”
Somehow you’re settled back into the couch, hands desperate for him as you search his torso for somewhere to find purchase. Kaminari leans down and kisses your forehead and then the tip of your nose, his lips hovering just above the bow of your mouth as he whispers, “Whatever you want, honey.”

:fire: pixel art in indie video games
there are so many angles to approach this one from. like okay this is a homestuck blog and im making a webcomic where i do art on a canvas meant to be viewed without any magnific8ion or up-scaling but for like. 3 years before this i was a full-time indie dev, and one of the things i took the most pride in was my pixel art - i still love doing pixel art but it’s hard to find places to put good pixel art into a homestuck comic.
last year i put together a game for a game jam where i spent most of the time in the week i was working on environment art (@janederscore killed it on character animations) and the final score was, in terms of graphics, #5 out of 114 entries.
check out witch machine if you have the time, sound of the summer.
i’m personally really proud of this shot of the curtains in the dining room.
all this to say, i feel like i’ve got a non-zero amount of skin in the game, with this ask. and the skin in the game is, i feel like pixel art is an EXTREMELY devalued medium, especially in the context of indie games, like. i can think of exactly one holistic pixel artist, where like, their work exists as its own thing and not as an extension of a game’s aesthetic, and that’s fucking paul robertson.
you may know him as the guy who did all the pixel-pushing work in gravity falls - both giffany and the street fighter parody were his art. and that dude bites. that dude made graphic fan art of custer’s revenge, you know - the game that exists to be pointed at in gdc talks where the late-20s, early-30s dsa member says “we have to do better than this”. and they’re right, that game sucks.
and even then, his work is only really holistic because the scott pilgrim game got fucking. unpersoned, and if it was still around he’d be the scott pilgrim game guy. even homestuck has homages to that dude’s work in it - eridan and sollux’s fight is in that exact style.
thats a tangent but heres my feeling: the prevalence of pixel art in games is like a thing that has to be done in every other artistic medium, that is - you have to make a fucking choice, about what your game is, about what your narrative is.
i wrote a whole blog post last year about what i was doing with the game i was working on at the time, box game, since i spent ages doing a pass on all the art in-game, redrawing things and reshaping them to be more visually coherent, less bad, and why i made those choices, and i stick by those to this day but here’s a less masturbatory example:
one of my favorite pixel art games, visually speaking, is space funeral. space funeral is a game about MOON, an artist who saw the CITY OF FORMS, a perfect city based on the platonic theory of forms and after being driven mad, destroyed it. over the course of the game, your goal is to defeat moon and restore the city of forms.
at the beginning, phillip walks in weird ways, like the animator just drew some frames without really knowing how they fit together, the tiles are all given this black outline that’d be horrifying to ship, since there’s this pixel art concept known as “jaggies” - when drawing lines, there’s certain kinds of curves that you follow to create the illusion of curves and almost always, it’s on diagonals.
the difference between these two lines is palpable, no? it effortlessly creates the illusion of amateur pixel art. also it is amateur pixel art, for as heady and interesting as thecatamites games can be i wouldnt put “pixel art quality” at the top of their merits. its still gr8 but you know.
anyway, it starts out with this really comparatively desaturated look, using lots of neutral versions of colors. but........
as you approach the city of forms, it grows garish. the only colors that arent blown out are the yellow of leg horse and philip’s skin. as you approach moon, and restore the city of forms, restoring this “perfect model city” and restoring the world as it was known, the whole game’s aesthetic shifts again.
to the RPG maker default tileset, something so thoroughly soulless that the only place you would ever see it in 2020 is in this context, a melancholy ending as the unique world you just spent the whole game exploring, is stamped out for a world that conforms to the very assets its packaged with by default.
(youll also find them in hentai games on steam, where they bring out big bucks for busts of their buxom babes but barely break a babys bank over things like tilesets, though trying to talk truthfully about that seems thoroughly tedious)
all this to say, i feel like you cant just have a take like “:fire: pixel art in indie games” because its like. “whats your opinion on art in comics”. “whats your opinion on acting in films”. its just a medium and there are good and bad examples of that medium and i think its kind of unfair to judge a medium by its terrarias when its also got games like deltarune, gato roboto, and hyper light drifter
and again this is just in games, pixel art is a medium unto itself which is a whole other topic but i dunno how much i can get into that, just bc i dont have the experience
#why did i alliter8 like that. i did it earlier today and i did it here. why am i like that.#Anonymous

how to make a simple & fancy header and trick people into believing you have photoshop skills
aka photoshop for dummies
warning: this is so fucking long idek
a lot of people have been coming into my inbox and dms asking me about my headers-- and while i always take requests! (and still do!) i wanted to offer a tutorial because it’s SUPER easy to make. it legitimately only takes 10 minutes.
now take in mind, to any pro or expert reading this tutorial: my experience with photoshop is basically me fucking around with it since i’m 13. so please don’t be mad if i commit any photoshop crime.
i’m going to explain step by step and as basic as possible, i’m assuming whoever is planning to use this tutorial does not really know how to use photoshop; and in my opinion, in these things, the devil is in the details! very minor easy things that become an habit quite fast make the difference between a shitty header and a good one.
1. first of all, the version i use is photoshop cs6. i wouldn’t know to tell you if some particular things in this tutorial can be done in another versions: i’d say probably yes, definitely in latest versions, and older versions have most of this settings anyway. now what we’re going to do is open our photoshop and directly open a new project. there are other ways to do this but this is the easiest for me. we’re going to change the size of the canvas to 640 x 360, since it’s the recommended size tumblr gives us for mobile headers.
2. now most people would directly open the picture file and resize the canvas, i personally just think this is easier. what i do next is to go get my picture, and simply copy and paste it in photoshop. in this case, i’m going to use robbe and sander from wtfock. you’re going to notice that naturally your picture is wayyy bigger than the canvas, but don’t worry, the whole picture is still there. you’re just going to click the arrow button, the first one in the left toolbar. make sure the layer of the picture you just pasted is selected, and then you’re going to press ctrl + t. after that, you just have to resize it, make sure to hold down shift while making it smaller or bigger, that way it wont lose the aspect ratio. after you have the picture where and how you want it, just press enter. (the canvas is very zoomed out because the og picture was really big, but dont pay attention to that)
3. now this is where you just get to play until it looks fancy and you trick people into thinking you’re like a top notch tumblr edits blog. the first thing i’d tell you to take in mind is the placement of your icon in the actual header. make sure to position your picture so it doesn’t cover any important part of it (like, you know, their mouths in this case.) it’s something that you can just tell by eye so don’t go too far to test it either. you can add effects, filters, color it like a real photoshop expert would, whatever you want, but what i do here is simply to play with the ‘curves’ which change the lighting and make the picture look a lot better. (i told you, i’m a scammer) here’s where the tool is and there’s no secret to it. just move it around until you like how it looks. ctrl + z is your best friend. i personally like to go brighter to make it look softer, dreamy-like.
4. here it gets a LITTLE bit trickier if you don’t know how to use photoshop at all. you’re going to need to download torn paper brushes, you can find the ones i use here. you’re also gonna need a tutorial on how to install brushes, which you can easily find on google... there’s like, a thousand, i promise. you’re going to create a new layer by clicking the small little button in the bottom, next to the trash one. after you finally have your brushes ready to use and you have the tool already active, just choose the color you want for the header, take in mind this is the color you’re going to use as your background on tumblr, as well. here i’m going to go with plain white, but i’ll add an extra explanation for this later in case you don’t want white, because as you have seen so far, i love talking. the brush is going to look super big compared to your picture; don’t worry. you can either resize your brush, or simply resize the layer the same way we did with the picture earlier. it’s a lot of trial and error until it looks how you want. i personally like the paper to take as little space as possible, some people like it to have enough space to add text, it’s all about your personal preference.
in case instead of white you wanted, let’s say, pastel yellow, all you need to do is copy and paste the hex color later when choosing your background while customizing. for some reason, when you first do it, it doesn’t look the same, but i promise you when you save it does. if you actually do know a bit of photoshop and you’re asking yourself, “isn’t it easier to just make it a transparency?” the answer is yes, it is, but for some reason it doesn’t work. at least for me.
5. and finally, we get to the text. this again involves a lot of trial and error, and personal taste, playing around with the tools. there’s no right or wrong, but i’m going to tell you how i do it. i like to do a minimalistic / caligraphy font sort of contrast, which is pretty basic but it makes things look HELLA fancy for some reason that is unknown to me. so that’s all you do! click the text tool, and write what you want. i recommend you use separate text layers for the different fonts, so you can play around with the placement instead of being set to the default spacing between lines. the fonts i’m using here are signatrust and telegraphic. i’m pretty sure the later is a default one, but you can find signatrust or any font you want on dafont. finally i just added a shadow, you can also add outline, glow, play around with any effects by right clicking the layer and choosing the first option in the menu. use the arrow tool to find where you want your text to go... i’m sure you got the gist at this point.
last but not least, don’t forget to save it as “png” when go to “save as”!
here’s our final result, which i beg of you to not use, since it was a request from my dear @driesen-demaury! i trust you can make your own now, or you can ask me to make one for you!
graphic design is my passion
( @asksander, here’s what i promised! )
#tumblr headers#headers#header tutorial#this is like the most pointless tutorial ever im sure but if it somehow helps#i feel like its like a tutorial on how to reset your computer like not to offend anyone i just feel like im making a big deal over nothing#djkhdhdkd

absolutely. esp bc im still new to writing but ive been making art for all my life so im very into visuals and ive done so much schooling about thinking about visuals. even just reblogging and tagging things its like curating a lil gallery on ur blog. my best friend is often getting inspo before we work on threads or plotting so we have lots of ideas and lil visuals to mix in between us
and then with things like how you present your writing i believe it absolutely can be as well. esp bc this is a hobby and ur not getting graded nor submitting anything for publishing people should feel more chill about just experimenting. ( sometimes having a polished set of icons and text style might be the most inspiring canvas / starting place for someone so maybe they dont need to experiment anymore with them anymore and thats grand too )
im really about people feeling out what they like. theres always been trends in the art world or storytelling world so im not surprised people have icon and edit trends too. even if something isnt what you like that doesnt mean you cant like that other ppl like it c:
⚌ Who inspires you?
ive yelled a lot about my best friend so far and im fully prepared to yell more about how i love him
but in the interest of having more variety to these answers i gotta say all the people who take time to post headcanons and character development stuff independently of anyone theyre rping with. who just write great things because they can and feel like it! very inspiring!
☠ What keeps you happy?
i already answered the in depth honest answer here, but as far as the lil icing on the cake things:
cats. playing games with my best friend. funny moments between friends in games ( hilarious glitches or ic nonsense ) and i know a rly happy baby who always has a big smile and lil chubby hands ready to clap whenever she sees me
rpwise… joking about muses n threads ooc w others. comparing muses to animals. i like to draw silly things too when i have time hehehe
oh and seeing other ppls pets!!! animals are good!!!!!!
♦ How has roleplaying on Tumblr improved since you started out?
ah i couldnt answer this before but i remember when i started it seemed like there were more mean ppl? idk if its that being an asshole is less acceptable or if ive just done such a good job of following nice people but my dash is usu full of supportive and understanding writers c:
⚓ Are there any small details you tend to like in roleplays?
oh rhythm a lot! sometimes when im writing i get the beat of a sentence in my head long before i get the words ( usually for the start of starters if it happens? ) and i just throw in words to fit it and figure out how to make them make sense later
but i often read my own stuff out loud to see if its about where i want it to be and sometimes ill read my partners reply out loud to shake my own words from my head or to get a better feel for what were writing together. some characters are just made of melody and i like to read their dialogue again and again and just feel the music of them hehe

Group Therapy (CONNOR MURPHY x READER)
AUTHORS NOTE: hello!!!!! i am back!!!!!!! i wrote this little thing, in hopes of making it a multiple part series. so this is just part one! but if you guys dont like it, let me know and ill just leave it as it is. I also want to take a moment to say that i am back to UPLOADING A FIC OR HEADCANON ONCE A DAY!! when i first started this blog, that was my uploading schedule. life got in the way, but im back baby!!!!!
Word Count: 2.4k ish
TW: suicide, suicide descriptions, swearing, therapy groups , etc
PS: i have been to many group therapies, so this is all just based purely on personal experience. so if this is triggering to you, please dont read any further!!!!
Connor Murphy was special. Not special in the way you would describe a rare artifact or gem. He was special like the waves in the ocean, the colours in the sky, or oil paint on a canvas. He was special because you knew what to expect. Like a wave in the ocean, you expected to crash. Like the colours in the sky, you expected to fade out after hours of daylight. Like oil paint on a canvas, you expected to dry and harden after creating something beautiful. Connor Murphy was a synonym for beautiful; only the rarest of poets could find in a dictionary. He was the sound that rolled off of the tongue of a politician. He was the feeling of warm laundry, draping around your body. Connor was all of these things—which is why his downfall was to be expected.
You had tried numerous group therapies in the past. None of them seemed to improve your feelings or behaviors. But they stabilized your health, which is all you could really ask for. There was something equally pleasing and eerie about joining group therapy. It was oddly satisfying to hear everyone bitch and complain, but also eerie that the painted beige walls would contain a group of kids who tried to kill themselves. Talk about a Suicide Squad.
You drove yourself to group therapy. This one was named Youth Wonders: Group Therapy and Psychiatrics. The name was slathered on the brick building in bronze lettering. It looked ancient. Maybe it looked cool back in 2002, but it made you roll your eyes just at the sight. You were 5 minutes early. Your keys were still lodged into your car ignition. This was the hardest part: getting out of the car. There was always that part of you that was tempted to ditch, go eat some McDonald’s for the hour, and go back home to tell your dad that everything went well. The feeling of guilt spread over your stomach just at the thought. You have lied to your father many times before. He didn’t deserve to be lied to again.
Finally, you slumped out of the driver’s seat and walked into the horrid building. It smelt like old carpet and candle wax. Kind of like a church. But nothing Holy grew an abundance to you whilst walking through the halls. A white, thick door was stood open with a brick. On the inside if the door, facing you, a pink slip of paper was taped up.
“TEEN YOUTH SUICIDAL THERAPY GROUP”
They really don’t sugar coat anything here. Your footsteps grew heavier as you walked through the door. Plastic chairs were all set up in a circle. Inside there were only four teenagers, and a woman who had a strange resemblance to Whoopi Goldberg.
“Name, please?” her scratchy voice echoed off the walls. Her dry hands where clutching a clipboard and her pink pen was held between her fingers, like a cigarette.
“Oh, uh, Y/N L/N,” you frowned, taking a seat across from her.
According to the amount of chairs set up, there were only six people in the group. You, an empty chair, Whoopi-Goldberg-lady, and an empty chair. The empty chair was to your left. You stared at it, feeling cold. The awkward tension in the room was thick enough to cut with a knife. You took this moment of silence as an opportunity to look around the room. All of the teens glared at their feet.
The girl next to you had red hair. Her face was populated with cystic acne that looked painful to the touch. Her ginger locks were pulled into a low ponytail. She wore a large men’s sweater that hung off of her skinny body. Sitting to her left was a large Filipino boy. He wore a purple sweater and old hiking shoes. The toe of the boots were worn out and his big toe peeked out. His hair was greasy, and he looked in need of a shower. Down the line, in the circle, sat a Latina girl. Her hair was done perfectly and her ears were pierced. Big golden hoops dangled from the lobes, reaching her collarbone. She was chewing bubblegum, and wearing a croptop – even though the temperature was just above freezing. Finally, in the corner sat a very pale white boy. He was short and skinny. He looked like he was 12 years old. His minecraft shirt had large orange stains, and had blonde whiskers growing in on his upper lip.
Whoopi-Goldberg-lady took a final sigh, clicking her pen. Just as she opened her mouth to speak, another person stomped in.
“You finally decided to join us…” the woman looked at her clipboard before reading out loud, “Connor?”
The boy grunted in response, throwing his body down onto the chair next to you. You winced at the sound. He had long hair. The ends curled into the collar of his denim jacket. Your eyes trailed up to his face. The muscles in his jaw flexed as he grinded his teeth together. The Whoopi-lady stood up, smoothing out the material of her chiffon blouse.
“Welcome, everyone. My name is Liz,” she spoke above her gravely tone.
Her name was Liz. Finally, you could stop referring to her as the Whoopi-Goldberg-lady, in your head.
“I will be your counselor and guide for this group. Within our 9 weeks here, I expect all of you to hit a few goals. The first being: opening up. I want you to share your story, knowing that whatever is said in here, stays in here.”
You could hear the boy next to you, practically scoff.
“So the first thing we are going to do is; go around the room, say your name, age, and explain why you are here.”
You could feel everyone tense up.
“Let’s start with,” Liz glanced at her clipboard. “Jamie.”
The red-haired girl sat up straight. She removed her fingers from her mouth, as she was just chewing on her cuticles moments ago. Her bleeding fingers dove into the sleeves of her sweater.
“Hi, I’m Jamie,” she spoke softly, almost like a robot. “I’m 15 and I’m here because I overdosed on sleeping pills.”
Liz nodded, “Ok. Great. Thank you, Jamie.”
Next in line was the boy in hiking boots.
“Hi, I’m Leroy. I’m 16 and I tried to hang myself from a tree,” his voice was a deep baritone. But was quickly cut off by the Latina girl beside him.
“Did the tree break, fatty?”
“Andrea,” Liz warned. “This is supposed to be a safe space.”
“Ok, yeah, whatever. I’m Andrea. I’m 18. This is my third time here. I took too much meth and blacked the fuck out. So I’m here,” she snapped her gum, fingering the golden hoop on her ear.
“Daniel, your turn,” Liz looked at the small pale boy.
“Hi, um, I’m Daniel. I’m 16 and I, uh,” the boy began to sob violently. Your heart broke a little bit. The boy next to you, Connor, scoffed. You were almost in disbelief at his heartless gesture.
“It’s ok, hun. Take your time,” Liz spoke softly.
Daniel continued, hiccupping and telling the group how he tried to end his life just two weeks prior. After many tissues, Liz continued down the line.
“Connor?”
The boy next to you, shifted in his seat. He was now sitting up, straight. His long legs tangled over each other. His large, black combat boots looked heavy against his skinny shins. He was wearing a lot of layers.
“Yeah, hi, I’m Connor. I’m 17. I tried killing myself 3 weeks ago.”
“How? You have to say how,” Andrea twirled her hair around her finger.
“Why? Do you get off to people’s backstories or some shit?” he hissed back.
Liz waved the two of them off, gesturing that it was okay to keep those details private. Next was you. And you could feel your breath become heavy. All eyes landed on you.
“Well, uh, my name is Y/N. I’m 17, also. I tried killing myself last year, but I’m here because my therapist told me to,” you spoke softly.
“That’s fucking boring.”
“Andrea!”
You were pouring coffee into a Styrofoam cup, rubbing the drowsiness out of your eyes. It was the half-way mark through group therapy. The group is given a 15 minute break between the two hours, and there is a small table full of shitty snacks and coffee.
“Coffee at 1pm?” a voice spoke from behind you. You turned to see that Connor boy offering you a lazy smirk.
“Yeah, what’s wrong with that?” “Well it’s shitty filtered coffee, and no one drinks coffee in the middle of the afternoon.”
“I didn’t know you cared so much,” you spoke while moving to the side, putting creamer and 8 packets of sugar into the small cup. “I just didn’t sleep well last night.”
“Jesus Christ,” he gaped at the amount of sugar you put in.
“It’s good, you should try it some time,” you mused, taking a small sip.
Connor shook his head, pouring some of the filtered brew into a cup of his own. “No, thanks. I’d like to live well into my thirties.”
“Isn’t that the opposite of why you’re here?”
“Touché.”
The rest of the afternoon went as expected. Red-haired girl went on a rant about her dad never loving her, Daniel cried some more, and Liz gave us homework to complete for next week. The green folder full of worksheets will be added to the pile of therapy homework that you never do. You have other things on your plate. You have a job, school, and university to think about.
While walking to your car, you see the tall boy leaning against the hood of your car.
“Uh, hi?” you spoke, raising on eyebrow.
He jumped a little bit, not seeing you at first. “Oh, hey, can you drive me home? My dad is at work and my mom…” he trailed off, looking at his feet.
You scratched the back of your head, not really knowing what to say.
“I’m sorry, I barely even know you. I should just walk home-“ he began to ramble, grabbing his messenger bag from between his feet.
“Get in,” you sighed, unlocking the car.
“Wait. Really?”
“What’s your address?”
The car ride was pretty silent. It contained the sound of your humming motor, and the small murmurs of directions from Connor. You had asked him what street he lived on, but he just told you that he would direct you there. He lived on the outskirts of the city. By following his directions, you drove into the suburbs. The houses were all parallel to each other. Each of them very large, big two-car garages, and nicely trimmed lawns. It was the type of neighborhood that would give out the good candy on Halloween.
“It’s the house on left, here,” he mumbled once again. Your eyes practically bugged out of your head.
“This one?” you took one hand off the steering-wheel to point to the house in front of you. It was gigantic. It was painted yellow with a dark blue door. It must have been at least 4 stories high. The backyard, from what you could see, was massive. Two large pillars on other side of the front door, reminding you of pictures in textbooks about ancient Rome.
As you pulled into his driveway, Connor picked at his nail polish. “What? Are you surprised?”
“A little,” you laughed, looking over at him.
He began to pick up his bag, looking over at you. The sunset in the sky casted a pink shadow in your car, making everything a rose colour.
“Well, uh, thanks. I’ll see you next week,” he spoke, stepping out of your car.
You watched as the goth boy walked into the giant, yellow house. It was a sight to see.
Next week rolled around, and you were five minutes early. You sat in your car, rubbing your temples. Another night without sleep. It was beginning to take a toll. Sitting in your car became a ritual you had. It gave you time to mope, before having to put on a brave face for wherever you were going. You let out a large sigh. Your head was pounding. Placing your forehead in the palms of your hands, you laid them down on the steering wheel. Closing your eyes, you were grateful to have a second to decompose.
It was quiet until you heard your passenger door open and slam shut. You let out a scream, sitting back, looking at the man who just entered. It was Connor.
“WHAT THE HELL?”
“Chill the fuck out.”
“CONNOR, YOU CAN’T JUST DO THAT.”
“What? Get in someone’s car? I know. I’m not an idiot.”
You began to go on a slight rampage, telling him about how many girls get abducted by leaving their cars unlocked. He responded by telling you to ‘lock your fucking car, then’. Before you could shout another witty response, he shoved a cup of hot coffee into your hand.
“Here.” “What… What is this?”
“Coffee, you dumbass.”
“Yeah, I know. But why?”
He just shrugged, taking a sip out of his own cup, leaning back in the passenger seat.
“So, why do you sit in here?” he mumbled against the warm lid of his beverage.
“It’s just nice, I guess?” you spoke out softly, rubbing your eyes.
Connor nodded, drinking his coffee quietly. You did the same.
Lunch time came around. Therapy had been going well. But you couldn’t help but find yourself staring into space every other minute. It was no group participation. It consisted of Liz telling everyone that how they were feeling is “okay”. It wasn’t anything that you hadn’t heard before.
You stood up the moment Liz said that your 15 minute break began. You walked over to the snack table, pouring another cup of coffee. Connor watched you from his seat, chewing on his bottom lip.
No one else had picked up on your caffeine habits. Rather, the rest of the teenagers fought over the sugar cookies that were lined up on the table. You walked back to your seat, sighing loudly as your butt hit the chair. You took a large gulp of the cheap caffeine, letting your eyes settle close for a moment.
“You know, I never got to hear your story last week,” you spoke softly with your eyes still closed.
“Well, same goes to you, I guess,” he mumbled back, slouching into his chair.
You cracked an eye open, looking at him. “Mine isn’t as recent.”
He shrugged back, watching you as your eyes flutter shut once more.
“My family is shit. My parents hate me. Some kid wrote a weird letter about my sister. I freaked the fuck out. It was just kind of the last straw, I guess?”
It was quiet for a few more moments. You opened your mouth to speak, then Liz clapped loudly, asking everyone to return to their seats. Group began again, and Connor avoided your eyes at all costs.

oh shit yall send lots of questions hoo nelly answering almost all of them under the cut ,,, im gunan try and answer more technical ones first then fun ones and ones about the mod later so u dont gotta scroll all the way to the bottom for the good deets
Hi! I'm still kinda new to the blog and I was wondering what are the 'do and do-not' kind question I should do? Because im sure theres always that one ask thats just Innapropiated, like that one of Michael 'taking advantage og high Jeremy' that was just not cool. i got this ask a lot so ill be clear with yall. im just not a big angst fan? so sending michael asks about his anxiety nonstop and about how he had a panic attack in the bathroom over and over again wasnt that fun. usually if it pertains the musical though you should be find sending an ask about it? but sometimes i get asks that are like “jeremy ur nothing and how does it feel knowing u fucked everything up” like homie how i think its feels? how u think hes gunna react to that? i made this blog to negate a lot of negativity in my own life so i can promise u im going to be answering asks mostly positive always forever. that being said tho i sometimes get asks pertaining to a few things that ive dealt with in the past and these topics make me very very uncomfortable. dont send asks about these topics please. this is the no no list
-self harm, cancer, suicide, rape, parent death, car accidents, sudden death.
What was your inspiration for this blog? hoo boy well,,, ultimately i thought of them rooming together and got emotional and made a huge list of headcanons and was like ,,, why not run an askblog for a bit ill just abandon it after three asks lets have some fun. but somehow im still here and i got sucked in by the complexity of michael and jeremy. i know that sounds kinda silly but just, as someone who is dealing with a lot of similar things, like dependency issues and abandonment issues and depression and anxiety, having these fun functioning character to explore was such a gift for me. i believe honestly thats why im still here and doing this. being able to try and portray a healthy relationship and a healthy way of coping and growing has helped me a lot this past month and given me an outlet i didnt have before. TBH THO the main reason i made this blog if imma be real with u guys id because i didnt like the treatment of a lot of these issues in the fandom. it made me very upset to see depression used as an plot device and michaels dependency issues treated as romantic so i wanted to make a blog that had little to no angst. ANYWAYS somehow im still here ,,, gvrkjvrnkjfd sorry i rambled
honestly I just wanna say first that I love his blog and your art and you're so cool and kind!! a question would be (I'm not sure if you've answered this before or not) but is there like an on going story here, or is it mostly just answering questions with the characters set in this universe? (if that makes sense I'm sorry!) thank you, you're super awesome! ❤️ djrnjg first off thank u so much aaaa,, ive kind of answered this before but its ok its been a while since then! but um i do kinda have a story but how howdy i sure am dragging my feet. the story isn a hUGE OVERARCHING EPIC OF WOE AND THIS PERSON IS UPSET AND THIS PERSON IS MAD AT THIS PERSON its just michael and jeremy getting together. i have a plan and ive talked to a few people on how i want it to happen but ive gained like ,,,, 6,000 followers since then and im kinda nervous BUT ILL DO MY BEST but also please understand that i do this for fun for myself and if i dont get to it im so so so sorry woops
i know this has been said before but i'm really really happy w how you're handling so many aspects of their characters. i.e. michael being trans, michael and jeremy's anxiety, michael's dependency issues, and other stuff i'm too tired to think of. you made the characters have even more depth than they did in the play and i'm rly grateful for the way you're dealing w my favorite boys. (also your richjake is suuuper adorable) ahhhhhh thank u so much? i talked a bit about this on my main but im really glad people are happy with my decision on this blog because im suPER SUPER NERvous anytime i post an ask dealing with these things. (ask hachi or nate i always message them like freaking out and send them my scripts and asks and wait for them to tell me its ok before i post it omg) also like i talked about before i love,,, having these fun stoner gamer boys to explore these issues with. im honestly shocked by how many people also deal with dependency issues because when i first listened to the musical i was so overwhlemed by the song michael int he bathroom because i had never heard someone basically write “dependency issue: the song” and it felt so so so good to realize i wasnt alone in this pit of despair i fall into so easily aha. but im!! glad everyone is ok with this wild ride im on right now (also thank u so much i struggle writing rich and jake but i get so emotional cause they would TOTES call each other babe)
how come you just use sketch form for most of your drawing (sketches and uses sketch for the final result)? im ,,, not really sure what this is asking but i thnk its along the lines of why do i only sketch my answers?? and i do that because dude do u see how often i post and how lONG some of them are. i made this blog for fun and i love doing comics but i hate lineart and coloring and if i tried to churn out finished pics for every post id defs have given up a few asks in,, shrugs
I want to say I love your little comics they're so funny! How long does it take you to make a comic? Are any of them based on your experiences? Ok have a nice day! thank you! i love my little comics too! it usually takes me anywhere from an hour to five hours if im dragging my ass or talking on discord while im drawing. it can be kinda exhausting but since i took my break ive also been like, starting long comics one day and finishing them another day which, before i would do it all in one sitting then post it hahha. AS FOR EXPERIENCE the first half of the lifeguard comic was based on real life! we were stuck stoned up there for like an hour or two? but we didnt have anyone to help us but we got down eventually!! the wendys comic is also something i did because man!! i need to compliment food workers if they do a good job!! ummmmm just like jenna i also have a friend that said HAHA BYE and moved to cali and she is also lIVING IT UP and doing really well for herself and shes very independent and shes very inspiring to me! hmm i think thats it besides i used to have movie nights with my dad all the time too except we would watch my fave animated movies and sometimes lord of the rings cause my dad loved that
What kinds of things can we NOT ask ? What kinds of things do you WANT us to ask ? i covered the what not to ask in the first question so!!! um if my askbox is open and u want to respond to previous asks ive answered for the boys that would be so so so rad. sometimes im done with a certain ask and i have nothing to add but sometimes ive got more to say but am looking for an opportunity! that being said it made me really happy that i got a lot of asks about pj? shes not going to the main focus of any more asks but!!! i was nervous to introduce her and im glad u guys like her shes fun to write. but overall just general asks i can make a big ol fun story out of so!! dont worry too much about what to ask, if its something ud ask a real person and not like “lol what if ur dad died” ur gunna be fine probably
Hi! Not a question but your blog is so sweet and refreshing! I actually really appreciate that you refuse angst, that stuff tends to rub me the wrong way in fandoms... Keep taking good care of these boys ! gggg thank u!!! it means a lot to me that a lot of people are backing me up on this! i mean if u are an angst fan there are a lot of askblogs that explore that!! so its not in short supply bmc askblog fandoms got something for everyone
Which drawing program do you use?? i use paint tool sai and my tablet is a cintiq !!
this isn't really related to the faq but that bakunawa boy reference was great I LOVE THAT FIC MAN!!! the line was originally a little diff in that ask but i changed it cause ,,,, i could,,,,
an art style question. how do you keep the design of characters consistent from frame to frame? my characters they look a lil different every time I draw em (or a lot different) and it tends to disrupt the flow of my comics/animations ohh boy hoo wee props for doing animations im too scared to give that a whirl but!! it helps that i draw all the panels for an ask on one canvas! so if my next panel is going to be the same character in the same spot just in a diff pose i keep the lower layer on just at low opacity so i can use it as a ref! that helps me a lot!
Sorry if I'm nosy or rude, but are you reflecting Micheal Anxiety, Panic attacks and depence? iii think this is asking if i reflect my own issues onto them boys? and if so then yes i do. i dont place any of my own personality or anything on the boys but i do use them as a way to help me learn how to cope with my own shit and i try to deal with their issues in the healthiest way possible while also keeping in mind they are flawed individuals aaa
what are your pronouns??? and maybe your main blog?? im a cis girl so she/her is good! and my main is squigglegigs! also that being said IF YOU SEE THE USERNAME SQUIGGLEGIGS ANYWHERE JUST?? ASSUME ITS ME?? i have a twitter and an instagram and my tumblr account
((Hello mod will Michael and Jeremy eventually someday get together. I love them.)) if all goes according to plan yes! if i get overwhelmed and stop having fun on this blog then no! sorry thems the breaks but! i do want them to get together so HOPEFULLY
going off on that confrience on pornogrefy for birds, Im geussing jeremy has played Hatoful Boyfriend. am I wrong? well it wasnt intended as that ref and i dont know anything about hatoful boyfriend but i can see jerm finding it and playing it so, sure homie! the pornography for birds thing is a my brother my brother and me reference! i love that show and them boys so give it a scope!
I'm crying bcuz Michael said he's in love with Jeremy and it's beautiful yeah that boy is DEEP IN love with his bro bro
Any advice for running an ask blog?? (Ps i love this blog keep it up) personally whats worked for me so far is doing just sketches for art. honestly ive been able to work so much more and post so much more often while also trying to work on my expressions and poses! also taking my own experiences and shaping them to fit the characters has been SO MUCH FUN. th most important thing tho is,,, dont overwork urself dude. if ur having a fun time it shows. if ur just forcing urself to churn out material and its not fun? like shit we doing this for free dont push urself? idk idk overall being looser with my art and writing the dialogue before hand has been the most helpful for me for this askblog! ive run a bunch before including @ask-maz and ive run that sporadically for ,, three or four years? its so funny cause u can see my art style juMP AROUND SO MUCH but i love that blog and i only update it like every other month or so but?? i still like doing it and no on likes those posts but it makes me smile so ANYWAYS
~ok from here on its mostly just me replying to nice messages or people asking me personal questions that dont pertain to askguyslikeus so!!~
I just wanted to say I really really love your blog and just your art in general!! Keep up the good work and hope you're having fun! thank u!!! i am having fun and im glad u enjoy it!!
What other musicals do you like? :0 i really like heathers A LOT. i also like doctor horrible i know thats not technically a musical but i just relistened to it and im emotional. i like dear evan hansen but it makes me really sad so i can only take it in moderation! ummm rent? chicago?? music man? now im just naming musicals i was in rip. being in a musical fandom is a new thing to me? i was really into heathers last year but didnt really interract with the fandom at SO THIS IS SUPER NEW?? ive never been into a musical as much as im into bmc and heathers tho
tell us a little bit about urself!! u seem v cool i am squigs or fork!! im 24 and work fulltime as a barista at starbucks! i get high on the beach with my friend gwen a lot and drink wayy to many slushies, my tv shows are brooklyn nine nine and bobs burgers right now! i table at conventions sometimes and sell my art as merch and whatnot and i cosplay as a hobby as well. im pretty boring but i draw a lot and always carry my big sketchbook with me and im pretty sure its given me back issues BUT OH WELL HAHA also i am very not cool THE TRUTH COMES OUT
Who do you most relate to from bmc and why? like ,,, a mix of michael and christine with a sprinkle of jeremy i guess ahaha i relate to michaels dependency issues and overarching positive attitude and love of music, i relate to christines bright disposition and the need to not stick to one set thing? like she loves theater cause she can be sO MANY PEOPLE and like same homie thats why i cosplay. and jeremys need to be likes while also ability to put himself out there is very relatable. i also identify strongly with his dad issues idk idk whats good
Also -- just thank you for how you handled all the panic attack and anxiety attack asks. I used to deal with anxiety attacks multiple times a day and it just was really nice that it was positive and not them having one. Thank you, sincerely. ahhhhhh ur so welcome i,,, have anxiety and it sucks and i deal with panic attacks like everyday at work so i dont really wanna come home and draw someone having one i guess? im glad its helping other people too tho!
Dude- I love your art? Actually so much? It's... I love it. The whole sketch-ish way your art style is, and the way you color, and the expressions! I'm so glad I found your work - you've given me so much inspiration. Keep doin what you're doin and I hope you have a good day! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ANytime any one compliments my expressions i die cause i legit made this blog to help with that as well ,,, like dam
im lvoe ur art style b o i :0 !!!!!!
Mod, I love you so much I love you you have my soul and my love and my eternal gratitude thank you and I love you (This is the guy who was excited about PJ on your ig live stream a while ago and I love you) !!!!!!!!! im so happy u like my content omg and that u like pj im so glad!! shes a good bean
I just wanna say... I'm crying over that post about Michael and his anxiety? cuz I know how it can feel that you're only your flaws and weaknesses, but Michael just tells that to screw off in the most wonderful way and I'm?? thank you so much for that post, I bookmarked it for future times when I can't look past my depression... honestly, that post made my day (along with every other post on this blog), thank you for being such a lovely part of this fandom ,,,, im,,,, im scared of a lot of this fandom tbh but if i can be something good that come out of it and my love of these boys and desire to show them functioning together in a healthy way can help other people its so much more than i ever thought id ever be able to do. i am blown away everyday by the support ive been given on this blog and i might be crying right now because i never thought id be able to touch other people like this and i just. im really glad yall are here with me for all this.
(To the mod: You are a beautiful person that I highly respect. I love this blog and what you set out to do. thanks for giving something that makes me smile and gives me something to look forward to everyday, keep up the good work! ❤ ) hey im still crying from the previous ask aaaaa im honestly so emotional
what are ur true feelings for wendy's??? i fucking love wendys man thats some top tier fast food right there
what fast food restaurant do you think has the best nuggets WENDYS HANDS DOWN
do you have a favorite movie? paranorman makes me very nostalgic and ive seen it like eighty times and used to watch it with my dad a lot and i love it
I would just like you to know that your Wendy's comic prompted me to pull the same thing with a bakery in the town I'm visiting and the baker got so excited and happy, so thank you for making that comic because I made that woman's day. GOOD GOOD GOOD GOOD GOOD I LOVE WHEN PEOPLE COMPLIMENT ME WHEN IM WORKING DUDE LIKE IM SO GLAD IT MADE U DO THIS!!! IM SMILING REALLY BIG!!
chocolate milk or strawberry milk? or plain? woops i hate milk im so sorry
do u love michael mell with all of ur heart, mod? i really truly do man what a fucking good ass character
hi squigs i love you! i love your content too and i hope u have a good day pal :> WHAT A SWEET BEAN!!! THANK YOU?? OMG
I'm just saying that recent ask you did with Michael really hit me hard because I really related to it and I started crying because it made me realize that I've been pining my self worth on everything my anxiety causes and I'm so much more than that. Thank you, so much for that I really needed it because I'm in a really bad place right now. <3 -for the mod i legit cry everytime i get asks or dms like this cause once again the idea that im helping other people is so ovwehelming i love you??? i let myself just be”depressed” for ahwile and by that i mean i just,, let my sadness consume me and i was scared of getting better cause the sadness was all i knew for so long and just. its so easy to think u are ur illness but you are so much more. soooo much more man.
I relate A Lot to Michael so the way you portray him in the blog is really good, and I think it's really awesome you refuse to like?? do terrible stuff and answer bad questions just bc people wanna see that. You run this blog really well 👌 AHHHH THis is the biggest compliment thank u so much ,,, i get real anxious bout this blog soemtiems but then yall send me sweet things like this and its worth it man
Hey mod, just know you're a really cool person. Thanks for running this blog in the first place. Keep doing the great work. thank you!!!! for ur support!!!!
not really a question!! i just wanted to say your posts on this blog always brighten my day and you're really an incredible artist and person, keep rockin on my dude!! *clutching my heart* the fuck this is so sweet
1 .I just wanted to say your blog is really awesome! It's very lovely. I also like how you made michael trans and like handled it? (just with how all the characters treat him and stuff its v nice). Your art is super duper! Thanks for running this awesome blog! 2. Hey! This isn't a question but I wanted to say that I appreciate michael being trans!! As a trans boy it's just rly awesome to see something like that casually thrown into an ask blog without making it a huge weird deal :D immm,,, i kinda really love the idea of michael being trans cause a lot of my trans male friends are actually pretty confident in their skin and michael is a very confident character? and u rarely see that with trans representation and its so refreshing to see it portrayed well. im trying to do that here but again if! i do anything wrong let me know!
how did you first get into art? (also i really love your blog, it's amazing!) ive been drawing as long as i remember! ive got mad adhd and wasnt diagnosed until late in ym life so i would just draw nonstop in my classes ahaha i used to read the sunday comics a lot and they really inspired me to try and make comics of my own too!! (and omg thank u)
someone also asked me if i went to church or was religious but tumblr ate the ask but i used to go to church a lot as a kid but im currently not religious at all aaa
ok holy shit that was a lot but thanks again to everyone i legit cry a lot about how supportive u all are thank u so much aaaa

GROUP NAME: ✨ PHANTOM THIEVES ✨
MEMBERS: Capable Leader™, -` RYUJI ´-, ANN~, Yusuke K., Makoto, [hacker voice].
[hacker voice]: Gee, futaba, what do you do with all your amazing hacking skills?
[hacker voice]: I leak government secrets, destroy anonymous organizations and hack into my old neopets account because I forgot the password and I wanted to feel nostalgic
Makoto: What’s that?
[hacker voice]: children’s website. You had to adopt a “neopet” and raise it kinda like a Tamagotchi. It had some really fun features like games and events and shit. It really kept me entertained when I was younger
[hacker voice]: comfort site, if you will.
Makoto: Sounds nice!
Capable Leader™: you played that? I thought it was really boring when I tried
[hacker voice]: with all due respect wtf is wrong with you?
Capable Leader™: I dunno, all the neopets looked kinda ugly…
[hacker voice]: you have a dick with tentacles as a persona and you’re calling neopets ugly????
Capable Leader™: I never said Mara was pretty
[hacker voice]: point taken
[hacker voice]: but like my point is
[hacker voice]: kacheeks
Capable Leader™: They were kinda cute but I abandoned one for a soy sauce or whatever was that dragon one
[hacker voice]: that’s it
[hacker voice]: that’s where I draw the line
[hacker voice]: you’re dead to me
[hacker voice]: I’m leaking your nudes
Capable Leader™: WTF?? HOW DO YOU HAVE THEM?? I DON’T EVEN HIDE THEM IN MY PHONE ANYMORE??
[hacker voice]: oh my god you actually have nudes?
Capable Leader™: oh…
Capable Leader™: woops…
ANN~: knew it
ANN~: @ -` RYUJI ´- pay the fuck up
-` RYUJI ´-: wtf? WTF??? WTF AKIRA???
-` RYUJI ´-: WHY DO YOU HAVE NUDES??
-` RYUJI ´-: ARE THEY YOURS OR LIKE NUDES YOU RECEIVED?
Capable Leader™: Listen
[hacker voice]: update I got them
Capable Leader™: do you really?
[hacker voice]: four of them were taken on the same day cause your nails were painted black and the other two are from a different angle and your underwear has paw prints on it
Capable Leader™: fuck.
-` RYUJI ´-: FOR REAL??
Makoto: Excuse me what kind of nonsense is going on right now?
[hacker voice]: I hacked into Akira’s PC and got his super secret dick pix
Makoto: I expected better from both of you
ANN~: Guys I’m heer im just slaughging so hard I cant se
-` RYUJI ´-: WHY DO YOU HAVE THESE?? WHO ARE YOU SENDING THEM TO??
Capable Leader™: does it matter who I send my genitals to?
-` RYUJI ´-: UH YEAH?? I CAN’T BE THE ONLY ONE WORRIED ABOUT THIS CAN I??
Yusuke K.: What seems to be the matter?
-` RYUJI ´-: AKIRAS BEEN SENDING NUDES TO STRANGERS AND FUTABA GOT THEM
Yusuke K.: Akira I did not know you had nude portraits of yourself
Yusuke K.: You should have informed me. I would gladly appraise them.
Yusuke K.: I would love to paint you too, if you so desire. I’m sure your form is marvelous to capture on canvas.
-` RYUJI ´-: dude…
ANN~: I FEEL BAD THAT IM LAUGHING
Makoto: @Yusuke K. it’s really not what you think…
[hacker voice]: ryuji are you
[hacker voice]: jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeealous?

You: im speechless
the blonde fuckboy one: is he bigger than me?
You: dunno need material to compare
the blonde fuckboy one: ok
the blonde fuckboy one: wait
the blonde fuckboy one: youre gonna threaten to leak mine too fuck you
You: worth a shot
PRIVATE MESSAGE: Emo Bob Ross
Emo Bob Ross: Hello, Futaba, I am interested in Akira’s nude portraits. Are you perhaps offering them?
Emo Bob Ross: Ryuji did say Akira was sending them off to strangers so I would imagine he has no quarrel with me evaluating it.
Emo Bob Ross: Should I pick them up at Leblanc?
You: I don’t even know where to start
Emo Bob Ross: Any of them would be fine. It would be difficult to take multiple ones to the dorms regardless.
You: I feel bad now
Emo Bob Ross: ?
You: yusuke… you should go to bed…
You: you’re typing a lot please don’t make this into an art rant thing
Emo Bob Ross: Futaba must I explain once again that nude portraits have no perverted undertones and are about the portrayal of the human being stripped of all it’s factors back down to it’s core, thus revealing it’s innermost self? The true self. The self an artist so desperately seeks to represent and very few up to this date have been successful. My eternal search for the perfect and realest form has me in need of diverse- both physically and spiritually – models that are willing to bare their very souls to me. I am not looking at this experience as a lustful, carnal desire. I would never dare take advantage of someone who has been brave enough to let me gaze upon their being so intimately for the sake of art. We have been through this. I have been through this with several people, in actuality, I’m starting to get a little tired of explaining this over and over again but for the sake of deconstruction of societal standards that block my advancement in the unexplored road to artistic perfection I will gladly do so.
You: holy shit
You: im sorry yusuke but its 1 am im just skimming through this
You: the thing is not that I doubt your passion to your study of the arts
You: the thing is that what I have… is not art…
Emo Bob Ross: I’ll be the judge of that
Emo Bob Ross: Not to offend you but I have a trained eye
You: you know what
You: do you have 400y? For that much you can have the digital copy. Physical copy is gonna be at least 600 depending on the material
Emo Bob Ross: I’m low on cash but I’ll keep you in mind if I manage to rake in the money.
GROUP NAME: ✨ PHANTOM THIEVES ✨
[hacker voice]: @Capable Leader™ lets make a deal
[hacker voice]: give me a copy of every nude you make willingly and I wont leak these
Capable Leader™: why tf would I do that
[hacker voice]: cause your dick is magical and I’ll split the spoils 20/80
Makoto: Stop this at once. There’s no way this deal is good news. Akira knows this.
Capable Leader™: I demand at LEAST 50/50
Makoto: AKIRA
[hacker voice]: I deserve more?? I’m doing ALL the work?
Capable Leader™: It’s MY dick??
-` RYUJI ´-: he’s right tho… the dick is like 90% of a man’s identity…
ANN~: Whats the other 10%?
-` RYUJI ´-: the balls
ANN~: I’m sorry I asked
[hacker voice] 40/60 is the MAX im willing to go and that’s me being GENEROUS because I recognize you have magic juju dick pix that already fished in two possible buyers
[hacker voice]: and also youre my friend and I love you
-` RYUJI ´-: I never said I’d buy it???
[hacker voice]: sigh
Capable Leader™: Ryuji…
-` RYUJI ´-: UH
Capable Leader™: Bro…
-` RYUJI ´-: I MEAN
Capable Leader™: If you wanted my nudes…
-` RYUJI ´-: I ALSO ENVER SAID I ASKED FUTABA FOR THEM DON’T GET THE WRONG IDEA
Capable Leader™: You just had to ask…
-` RYUJI ´-: LISTEN I JUST WANTED TO KNOW IF YOU WERE BIGGER THAN ME THAT’S A MAN THING
-` RYUJI ´-: wait really
ANN~: omfg
Makoto: I feel like this conversation is about to get very intimate
Yusuke K.: I would like to request permission to ask for your nudes as well, Akira
Capable Leader™: oh
Capable Leader™: well that’s a surprising turn of events
Yusuke K.: I fail to see how that surprises you considering you know how I am a fan of the erotica genre and it’s artistic disposition to strip a human bare to it’s very core.
-` RYUJI ´-: no dude…
-` RYUJI ´-: like this is not the nude art thing you keep talking about...
-` RYUJI ´-: this is like
Capable Leader™: (implying I’m not art)
[hacker voice]: touché
-` RYUJI ´-: a dick pic
-` RYUJI ´-: like its just a picture of his dick taken with his phone camera that’s it
Yusuke K.: Well, anything can be art! Art is subjective! I would like to evaluate the photograph!
-` RYUJI ´-: LISTEN MAN, AKIRA DIDN’T TAKE THAT PICTURE TO BE ARTSY, TRUST ME.
Makoto: Yusuke I strongly advise against this
Makoto: If anyone online offers to send you “a nude” please do not accept it…
Yusuke K.: It does intrigue me why anyone would simply want a picture of someone else’s genitalia when you could get the full view…
Makoto: remain intrigued
Makoto: not everything in life needs to be understood
Capable Leader™: Hey Futaba, I accept payment in Ryuji’s nudes as well
[hacker voice]: the contract has been sealed
-` RYUJI ´-: WTF AKIRA
-` RYUJI ´-: I DIDN’T CONSENT TO THIS
Capable Leader™: Come on, Ryuji… my bro…
Capable Leader™: This is just a bro thing…
Capable Leader™: Whomst amongst us never seen their best bro’s dick?
Capable Leader™: You’re my best bro, Ryuji… I wanna get to know every part of you…
Makoto: this is a public chat
[hacker voice]: gross
Capable Leader™: The very deep and intimate connection between two bros is nothing to hide, Makoto…
ANN~: You should hang out and deepen your bond
[hacker voice]: don’t think I don’t know what youre doing ann, that’s cheating
ANN~: ;)
-` RYUJI ´-: bro…
-` RYUJI ´-: If you wanted MY nudes bro…
-` RYUJI ´-: you could have just asked, bro….
Makoto: I can’t believe this is a thing that is happening right now
ANN~: ive turned off the TV this group chat is too lit for me to take my eyes off it
Makoto: it’s 2 am we should prepare to bed
Capable Leader™: [MESSAGE DELETED]
[hacker voice]: FUCK
ANN~: YAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSS IM RAKING IT IN TONIIIIIIIIIIIGHT
ANN~: WAIT WHAT
Capable Leader™: what? I didn’t delete that?
ANN~: FUTABA THATS CHEATING!!
[hacker voice]: YOU CHEATED FIRST! YOU INSTIGATED HIM!
ANN~: I INSTIGATED THE IDEA BUT NOT WHO WOULD BE SAYING IT???
[hacker voice]: HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
ANN~: SAY IT AGAIN AKIRA
Capable Leader™: @ -` RYUJI ´- come over
[hacker voice]: I hate that im partially to blame for this
-` RYUJI ´-: woah akira
ANN~: no bitch no matter how this conversation went it would end the same way cause im ALWAYS RIGHT
ANN~: I’m making it rain Monday morning. I’m taking Shiho to that fancy cake place she wanted to go.
-` RYUJI ´-: isn’t it kinda late for that??
Capable Leader™: I’m alone and Boss doesn’t open shop tomorrow
Capable Leader™: I can show you the goods myself
Capable Leader™: You know?
-` RYUJI ´-: SDSDMX,X CM SALÇ DAÇSD
-` RYUJI ´-: DID YOUJUST BOOTY CALL ME??
Capable Leader™ sent MAYBESO.gif
-` RYUJI ´-: BRO
Makoto: Gross innuendos publicly aside: finally
Makoto: It was getting frustrating seeing you two obviously pinning on each other
[hacker voice]: and don’t even talk about the baton passes…
Capable Leader™: I mean he hasn’t accepted yet…
ANN~: oh he will
ANN~: he better
-` RYUJI ´-: why should you decide
ANN~: cause as your best friend I know whats best for you and I know for a damn fact you will not get a better score than akira
-` RYUJI ´-: thanks I love you too
ANN~: FUCKING LOOK AT HIM! HE’S OFFERING HIMSELF ON A SILVER PLATTER!
-` RYUJI ´-: THIS IS REALLY AWKWARD FOR ME MAN…
ANN~: don’t embarrass yourself in front of your crush like that
Capable Leader™: I like when they get shy
ANN~: oh my god youre such a slut
Capable Leader™: ;)
-` RYUJI ´-: bro…
ANN~: WHAT ARE YOU DOING STILL IN THE CHATROOM GO ANSWER THE GOD DAMNED BOOTY CALL ALREADY
-` RYUJI ´-: IM REALLY NERVOUS OK
ANN~: RYUJI YOU USELESS BISEXUAL
-` RYUJI ´-: GDI
Capable Leader™: you don’t have to come for real it was just a joke
ANN~: wait really?
Capable Leader™: @ -` RYUJI ´-
Capable Leader™: wait is he actually coming??
[hacker voice]: yeah he left 5 mins I traced his phone rn
Capable Leader™: oh fuck…..
ANN~: was it actually a joke??
Capable Leader™: No I just didn’t think I’d actually get this far??
ANN~: YOURE BOTH USELESS BISEXUALS AND I HATE YOU
Yusuke K.: Akira may I join you both? If you’re willing to model for me I will certainly not pass on this opportunity
Makoto: Please don’t.
Capable Leader™: oh my god yusuke
Capable Leader™: not today
Capable Leader™: maybe some other day
Capable Leader™: wink wink
Yusuke K.: I understand. Take all the time you need but please consider my request.
[hacker voice]: I can’t believe Ryuji’s about to get the succ
[hacker voice]: according to my gps ryuji should already be at leblanc??
Capable Leader™: oh he’s here alright. Just nervously prancing in front of my front door.
Capable Leader™: I haven’t called to him yet, let a man be ready
Capable Leader™: (I also don’t know if im fully ready so…)
ANN~: oh grl you got this
ANN~: you’ve been training all your life for this
ANN~: besides its not like hes gonna know the difference between a good bj and a bad bj lol
Capable Leader™: youre right
Capable Leader™: but I also you know, care about him a lot
Capable Leader™: I wanna make this a good experience cause I care about ryuji a lot… like in a very gay way…
ANN~: Aww!! :)
Makoto: I want to take no part in this conversation but that was adorable
ANN~: srsly im talking to ryuji rn on private and hes freaking out cause of the same thing
ANN~: wants it to be really good to you bc he loves you sm and youre so hot and hes already semi just thinking abt you
Capable Leader™: I’m flattered
ANN~: he’s super overwhelmed cause its his first time and with a boy he loves so like admsadsa damn ryuji youre so cute
ANN~: almost makes my cold blooded bitch heart feel something
Capable Leader™: I’ll give him all the time he needs!
ANN~: you should really open the door for him and at least put him inside cause its cold and there was a robbery in your street earlier this week
ANN~: and you know ryuji hell stubbornly stand in front of that store until the sun comes up if hes wallowing in nerves
Capable Leader™: youre right…
Capable Leader™: im gonna go do that…
Capable Leader™: @[hacker voice] if you have any cameras in my room turn them off!
[hacker voice]: for how much?
Capable Leader™: FUTABA, PLEASE.
[hacker voice]: calm down theyre already off. Havent been on since we became friends.
[hacker voice]: just thought youd like to have your fond memories engraved on tape for your enjoyment…
Capable Leader™: …
Capable Leader™: that’s… tempting
Makoto: are you out of your mind??
ANN~: YOU’RE SUCH A SLUT, AKIRA
Makoto: God, you’re hopeless. At least talk it over with Ryuji first.
Capable Leader™: I just did. He’s cool with it.
Makoto: Somehow I feel like this is an oversimplification of the conversation.
Capable Leader™ changed his username to Tapable Leader <3
Tapable Leader <3 changed the group name to AKIRA & RYUJI’S SEX TAPE
Makoto: I’m leaving.
Makoto: Only talk to me when you want to group up from now on.
-` RYUJI ´-: I ONLY AGREED WITH IT IF ONLY ME AND AKIRA GET A COPY!!
-` RYUJI ´-: ITS ONLY FAIR CONSIDERING YOU’RE ALREADY SELLING AKIRA’S NUDES!!
[hacker voice]: I’ll make three copies of the sex tape
[hacker voice]: 600y each
[hacker voice]: first come first serve
[hacker voice]: no reservations
[hacker voice]: you show me the money the tape is yours
[hacker voice]: those are my terms
Tapable Leader <3: even if Ryuji and I get copies there’ll still be one in the wild for someone to buy?
ANN~: isn’t that thrilling tho
ANN~: one other stranger youll never know about can be watching you
ANN~: and if futaba agrees to take down any reuploads of the tape its like your very own secret but like… shared with a stranger… that’s a kink isn’t it??
[hacker voice]: yure right…
Tapable Leader <3: holy shit
Makoto: This is so irresponsible…
[hacker voice]: thought you wanted no part in this?
Makoto: I can’t simply not take part. You guys are worse unsupervised…
Tapable Leader <3: Futaba, it’s a deal if mine and Ryuji’s copies are free of charge
[hacker voice]: fair enough
Tapable Leader <3: nice. We’re going upstairs now.
[hacker voice]: camera’s ready!
ANN~: lmao I cant believe this is actually happening
Makoto: so much for reputable thieves…
Makoto: I swear if this sex tape leaks and we get found out because of it…
Makoto: What’s worse! Akira’s on probation! That will most definitely spell trouble for him depending on who gets their hands on this tape!
ANN~: Guess we have no choice but to buy it ourselves!
Makoto: Or don’t do the sex tape?! At all?!
ANN~: Nothing’s gonna happen, Makoto! Chillax!
ANN~: How can they possibly trace a video of Akira sucking Ryuji off back to the phantom thieves?
ANN~: What kind of evidence even is this?
[hacker voice]: Akira’s jacked??? I didn’t know he worked out that much??
ANN~: he looks really skinny right?
ANN~: did ryuji come with his stupid neon pink and green watermelon bullshit panties?
[hacker voice]: they stopped to talk rn
[hacker voice]: ryujis like flipping
[hacker voice]: asking if akira had done this before
[hacker voice]: apparently akira has sucked “some dicks”
[hacker voice]: AT LEAST TWO ARE FROM HIS CLASS
Makoto: Do you really need to keep us updated?
ANN~: yes
Makoto: sigh
[hacker voice]: @ANN~ ryuji’s wearing the pink underwear
ANN~: god I hate those
ANN~: @Tapable Leader <3 burn them when youre done
[hacker voice]: I hate doing this. This is just like when you’re watching a movie and there’s a unnecessary kissing scene and the entire scene is like 3 minutes of uncomfortable schlepping kissing noises.
ANN~: yeah that must be pretty awkward
[hacker voice]: it is super awkward. Akira owes me one
[hacker voice]: oh my god
[hacker voice]: ryuji scared the crap outta me he legit screamed right now
[hacker voice]: I don’t even need mics for this ryuji’s so loud
ANN~: whaaat? Ryuji? Loud?? Who would have thought…
-` RYUJI ´-: IM SORRY OK IM REALLY LIVID HERE
ANN~: WTF???? WHAT AR EYOU DOING TEXTING US???
-` RYUJI ´-: IDK WHAT TO DO WITH MY HANDS!!
ANN~: YOURE USELESS. I CANT BELIEVE YOU.
Tapable Leader <3: you can pull my hair, its fine
ANN~: HOW ARE YOU TEXTING EVEN??
Makoto: It’s been a while since we got an update.
[hacker voice]: do you want em?
Makoto: No, I simply worry how long this is lasting.
[hacker voice]: it’s gotten to a really graphic point. I’m not even watching anymore, its really really awkward… if you want the full juice you’ll have to buy the tape!
[hacker voice]: oh theyre done
[hacker voice]: they just threw the dirty clothes on the floor and went straight to sleep
[hacker voice]: orgasming must be really tiring…
ANN~: @Tapable Leader <3 @-` RYUJI ´- CONGRATS ON THE SECS!! We’re all really happy for you!! You guys deserve each other, really! If anyone says otherwise I’ll punch them!
Makoto: @Tapable Leader <3 @-` RYUJI ´- regardless of how reckless and utterly stupid this whole thing was, I’m genuinely glad you guys worked it out and are finally being honest with each other. It was awfully unhealthy for the team dynamic to watch you two dance around the issue of your attraction so, congratulations!
[hacker voice]: @Tapable Leader <3 @-` RYUJI ´- im not as good with expressing things as the other girls but im also happy I somehow brought you two together. Don’t worry I wont actually sell the sex tapes to anyone btw
[hacker voice]: (or will i)
ANN~: omfg
[hacker voice]: Yusuke’s typing a lot im concerned
Yusuke K.: I did not fully grasp the concept of what was truly going on in this chat tonight but after extensive research and questioning Ann on certain topics I now understand. Futaba’s attempts at prostituting Akira have somehow led into a nuptial encounter between Akira and Ryuji, the kind of which both parties have been secretly interested in for a long time. I also congratulate you both in your achievement for the act of intimacy born from fondness and admiration is one of the truest forms of adoration our kind have come across. I only wish for more of these enjoyable moments and if any of you would be so kind as to model for me the most beautiful sensation of your endless love I would be very thankful.
[hacker voice]: holy shit
[hacker voice]: just looking at this is making my eyes heavy
[hacker voice]: im going to sleep folks
ANN~: same
ANN~: we have to wake up before ryuji and akira to surprise them at leblanc
ANN~: we’ll bring a congrats on the sex cake
[hacker voice]: I’m in
Makoto: guess it won’t hurt to check on them
Yusuke K.: I would love to discuss this over some cake!
ANN~: deal, then! Good night, thieves <3
-` RYUJI ´-: you fuckers are gonna see some dicks
ANN~: that’s the plan dapper dan
ANN~: now go to bed!
thx for your time i hope you enjoyed it ideas that we did in the rp and i couldnt find a way to put here: > futaba leaks the nudes on the phan site > mishima warns akira of the thing and says he has a nice package > akira gets arrested for publicly posting pornography and akechi recognized him by the dick > "whats wrong with a little dick pic" "its not little" > makoto buys a copy of the akira/ryuji sex tape and resells it at school > mishima buys a copy

Good morning!! We're bringing in the new year with quite a bang folks! This is Kenny Moertl aka Blazin Asian. Here's a bit more about him and what he does.
Ok kool I could draw since I was like 5. Won awards in grade school and HS, then started working at Miskeen originals in like 2005. Made a name for myself and learned alot from other artists. The first rapper I did a painting for was Gillie da Kid who I met while working my evening job. the painting ended up in one of GDKs videos. eventually, I started a street team with a couple of the artists at miskeen and began attending events and doing portraits for celebs in town. Rick Ross, Keyshia Cole, Nas, Jadakiss, DJ Khaled and many other artist received artwork during this period. I worked there on and off till like 09 honing my skills. I parted with Miskeen and began freelancing. I began produced some logos, book covers, and the like, a couple of body painting, but adopted portraits and paintings as "my lane". Since branching off , I've done paintings for Meagan Good, Jamie Foxx, Ice-T, Kevin Hart and many others as well as having my artwork featured on the ESPN show Mike & Mike in the Morning. Since then I've just kind of been chugging along doing custom work for people and continuing to learn and grow professionally and artistically. I try to reinvent myself every year to keep it fresh and new.
He's pretty amazing to have met so many awesome people. I love it so much.
Now enjoy more about this talented guru.
1. What motivated you to make portraits for other people?
I really like to see the way people's faces light up when they see themselves immortalized on canvas. truly inspirational. i also wanted to do portraits of people that dont necessarily get painted often. capture classic movie scenes. etc Hip Hop culture all day.
2. How long is the drawing process of one of your works?
It varies, I have paintings I've been working on for years, and I've done portraits in like 2hrs. One time Fat Joe was in town and I was gonna paint him something, long story short I was on my way to Target with my son, and heard the Fat Joe promo on the radio. Like Slick Rick, i knew the time, but totally forgot about the date. i went back home and started at 10:00pm. I knocked out the painting, showered, got dressed and to the club right before 1am. #Beast
3. How has your art practice changed since you first started drawing?
Well I started at like 5yrs old lo l so its' changed a lot over time. I guess its most recently changed in the sense that I don't practice at all anymore. I kinda see what I want to do and do it. I've watched YouTube sometimes to pick up tips. Bob Ross is the g.o.a.t. Also, a lot of times, in my experience, amazing new things are created while covering up a mistake.
4. Any part of your art process you don't enjoy as much?
I hate "writer's" block. sometimes I'm uninspired and go into a "pre-production" mode. That sounds better than "hiatus",b lol and universally, I'm forever irked by the occasional unruly customer. I think everyone encounters that issue though.
5. Anyone in your life give you advice in how to grow in your style?
They say good artists borrow and great artists steal. Idk if that's necessarily true, but I usually sponge up techniques subconsciously. I don't know when the last time someone actually gave me art advice, as I've been the best artist in my class since like 2nd grade. But I definitely help myself to new styles. When at Miskeens peak, I worked with like 30 artists. I picked up alot during that period.
6. What's your favorite part of the art process?
My favorite part of the process besides being financially compensated, I would say is the reaction to the art, once completed. I get some compliments on the way to deliver art, but usually the reaction from someone who was illustrated or had a loved one illustrated is pretty emotional. Many times, people have told me that their painting is their most prized possession in the whole world. I've had some good cries. Being able to give someone that type of happiness is inspirational to me.
7. What plans you have in mind for tge new year to come?
You always have to reinvent yourself. Like Jay Z said, you want my old sh**, buy my old album. I definitely have some new styles on the horizon, but no spoilers. I also want to do some mural work this year. maybe some pro-bono work for the kids. I might add tattooing to my arsenal this year as well, that is if time providing. In addition to some moves I havent thought of yet.
8. Have advice for someone younger, that wants to pursue art?
Advice for the young guns. I would definitely say to stick to your script. Never let anyone tell you how to express yurself artistically or otherwise, its your vision. Also, never undervalue your product. your talent is priceless dont give it away. My uncle Saga once told me, "just because i can do something in 5 mins doesnt lessen the value. It took me my whole life to be able to do that in 5 mins". invest in yourself and never give up. Always think big.

The 5 Best Free Blogging Platforms in 2019 (100% Unbiased)

So, you’d like to take blogging for a test drive, eh?
See if you like it or not before ponying up the bucks for a complete self-hosted WordPress setup?
You’ve probably heard you can start a blog for free, and indeed you can. The big question is:
What’s the best free blogging platform right now?
And the answer is… it depends on what you’re trying to accomplish.
In this post, we’ll go over all the different free blogging platforms and give you the pros and cons of each, but first, let’s stop to ponder a more fundamental question:
Table of Contents
Do You Even Need a Free Blogging Platform?
No Blogging Platform is Right for Everyone
#1. Medium: Best Platform for Simplicity
#2. WordPress.com: Best Sandbox Platform
#3. LinkedIn: Best Platform for Professionals
#4. Instagram: Best Platform for Visuals
#5. Guest Blogging: Best Platform for Building Your Authority
Making the Switch to Self-Hosted WordPress
What’s the Best Free Blogging Platform for You?
Do You Even Need a Free Blogging Platform?
The truth:
Blogging can be expensive.
If you’re a seasoned blogger who’s been around the block a time or two, who’s already figured out which ideas work and which don’t, it’s easy to chalk up these costs as the price of doing business. Spend money, make money. Wash, rinse, and repeat.
But what if you’re a beginner learning how to start a blog for the first time? What if you’re someone who hasn’t yet figured what works and what doesn’t?
I’ll let you in on a secret…
You can experiment just as well on a free blogging platform as you can on a self-hosted WordPress setup with all the bells and whistles.
Actually, you can experiment better on a free blogging platform since the learning curve isn’t as steep.
Do you really want to experience the inevitable growing pains of blogging while forking over large piles of cash each month?
Free blogging platforms allow you to confirm your blog topic has potential, spy on the competitors in your niche, and test your ideas without spending any of your hard-earned dough.
So which one is best?
Well, that’s the thing:
No Blogging Platform Is Right for Everyone
Different bloggers have different needs, and different blogging platforms are good for different things. Ultimately, “best” will depend on you and your situation.
That said, each of the platforms we’ll discuss do have common traits (besides being free). Let’s briefly look at them before we dive in:
There’s zero maintenance hassle. The burden of maintenance doesn’t fall on you when you use a free blogging platform. No worries about software updates, data backups, or gremlins hacking your server — they’re all handled by someone else.
They’re easy to use. To varying degrees, each platform is friendly to beginners. With limited tech savviness, you could get started today.
Customization is limited. If you’re a micromanager, take a deep breath: you will not have full control or unlimited options when you use a free blogging platform.
That last one can be both a blessing and a curse.
Once you get serious about blogging, the limited customization options of free platforms will likely hold you back. When you’re just starting though, the limitations will help you focus on what’s important: the aforementioned testing of your ideas.
Alright, enough prologue.
Ready to find out which platform is best for you? Let’s go.
#1. Medium: Best Platform for Simplicity
First up is Medium.
Founded by Evan Williams, one of the founders of Twitter, Medium launched in August 2012 to much fanfare, and it’s grown into a behemoth. According to the New York Times, as of May 2017, Medium was up to 60 million unique visitors each month.
That’s considerably less than WordPress, but Google Trends indicates the tide could be turning:
The red line in the graphic above represents the number of worldwide searches for “wordpress” during the past five years. The blue line represents the number of searches for “medium.”
Granted, some of those “Medium” searches could be for the TV show of the same name that starred Patricia Arquette from 2005 through 2011.
Nonetheless, it’s growth is impressive.
How Do You Get Started?
Medium offers multiple ways to register.
Don’t want to remember yet another password for yet another account? No problem. Sign up using one of your social media accounts.
Go to Medium.com and click the “Get Started” button:
Choose Google or Facebook. You’ll then be asked to log into your (Google or Facebook) account. Once you authorize Medium to access your account, it will redirect you back to Medium.
That’s it.
To get to your Medium account in the future, all you have to do is click “Sign In” on the homepage and choose the “Sign in with Google” or “Sign in with Facebook” option.
Or if you already have a Twitter account, it’s even easier. Choose the “Sign In” link instead of the “Get Started” button, and you’ll see the following:
Click the “Sign in with Twitter” button (even though you haven’t yet signed up).
If you haven’t already logged into Twitter, you’ll be asked to log in and then authorize Medium to access your Twitter account.
Click “Ok,” and you’ll be off to the races.
What Do You Get For $0?
A simple, beautiful WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) blogging platform that embraces minimalism.
After you join, click your avatar (the floating head) in the top-right corner of the page and then, select “New story.”
You’ll land on a clean, easy-to-use editor.
Where to insert the title for your post is clearly defined. So, too, is where to begin typing your first sentence.
Every change you make gets automatically saved in the background. And as you type, you begin to see exactly how your finished post will appear to your readers.
That’s the beauty of a WYSIWYG editor.
There’s no guessing, no wondering, and no trial and error. If your post looks good in the editor, it’s going to look good when your post goes live after you click the “Ready to publish?” button.
And speaking of what happens after publishing, there’s something else Medium offers you for the whopping price of zero dollars and zero cents:
The chance to be featured in front of their 60+ million readers.
Write something that wows people and, if it receives enough love from readers (they click a “clap” button to show their approval), it could get featured as one of Medium’s top stories on their app and website…
Or in their “Daily Digest” email…
Such a spotlight would mean lots of new eyeballs on your content.
Who Should Use Medium?
Anyone. Everyone.
Seriously, though it isn’t perfect, you’ll be hard pressed to find a blogging topic or niche that Medium can’t service.
This is especially true if your niche will be self-improvement or entrepreneurship. Medium puts your content, your message, front and center to your readers.
As Evan Williams once put it: “Medium is not about who you are or whom you know, but about what you have to say.”
Best-selling authors. Entrepreneurs. Writers who stepped away for a season, but are making a comeback. Ministers who have a good sense of humor. Yours truly.
All have things to say, and all have found homes on Medium.
Who Should NOT Use Medium?
Microbloggers (you’d be better off using Instagram — more on that later).
Those who don’t plan on using their blog for writing (photographers, podcasters, etc.).
Anyone who likes to color outside the lines.
Medium is all about the written word. Sure, graphics embedded into Medium posts look great, but in the end, it all comes back to the words.
Medium is best for those who love words. It excels at typography. It uses an abundance of white space so that its text has a perfect canvas. It embraces a minimalistic design so that nothing distracts your readers from your precious — yes, I’m going to repeat it — words.
Look at this example screenshot from a post written by Jeff Goins:
Black text on a white background. A simple, easy-to-read font. It’s a perfect arrangement for Jeff’s strong, unique voice.
Medium offers no glitz, glam, or sparkles. And, unlike WordPress.com (which provides a few basic design themes and customization options), Medium is one size fits all.
What you see is what you get.
If you like what you see, great. If you don’t, there’s not a lot you can do about it.
Final Word on Medium
What are the Pros?
Built-in audience of over 60 million readers!
Good for all blog types
Excellent typography — your blog will look professional
More business friendly than WordPress.com
What are the Cons?
Little, if any, customization — your blog will look like every other Medium blog
Conclusion: If the written word is your preferred medium, you’ll do very well with Medium. It’s an easy-to-use platform that puts your words front and center, and it’s the platform we most often recommend to beginner bloggers.
But is it the right choice for everyone?
Let’s look at the other options…
#2. WordPress.com: Best Sandbox Platform
Source: Lorelle on WordPress
Launched in 2005, WordPress.com is a turnkey blogging platform built on the open-source WordPress.org software.
In any given month, over 409 million people will view more than 21 billion pages on WordPress.com’s network of blogs. In September 2018, more than 70 million posts were published and over 52 million blog comments were written.
In short, WordPress is quite popular.
How Do You Get Started?
Signing up for a free account takes only a few minutes.
Go to WordPress.com and click the “Get Started” button to get to Step 1:
You’ll need to enter your email address, a username, and a strong password.
Next, enter a few details about your blog for Step 2:
For Step 3, enter an address for your site:
Once you’ve typed something, you’ll get a list of options. Be sure to select the “Free” one.
Finally, in Step 4 you pick a plan. Again, choose the “Free” option.
What Do You Get For $0?
WordPress.com’s “free for life” plan gives you numerous features, including:
A free WordPress.com subdomain
“Jetpack” essential features
Community support
Dozens of free themes
Let’s look at those features in more detail:
Free Subdomain
A couple of definitions are probably in order…
First, what’s a domain? See the address bar at the top of your browser? What comes after the “https://” is the domain.
In the case of this site, the domain is smartblogger.com. For my site, it’s beabetterblogger.com.
And in the case of WordPress, the domain is wordpress.com.
So what’s a subdomain? If the domain is the parent, the subdomain is the child. Anything between the “https://” and the domain is a subdomain.
Some examples:
alumni.harvard.edu
braves.mlb.com
finance.yahoo.com
That’s what WordPress is offering with its free subdomain.
So, if I wanted to start “Kevin’s Awesome Blog” on WordPress.com, my subdomain might be something like kevinsawesomeblog. Readers would type kevinsawesomeblog.wordpress.com in their browser to view my site.
It’s not a good look if you’re a business (more on that later), but for a sandbox blog where you’re testing your ideas, it’ll do the trick.
Jetpack Essential Features
WordPress.com doesn’t allow third-party plugins (unless you upgrade to their “business” plan). So, if your buddy tells you about this “amazing” WordPress plugin “you’ve got to try,” you’re out of luck until you upgrade to a self-hosted WordPress site.
However, WordPress.com’s free plan does come with many built-in plugins that offer everything from spam protection to contact forms.
For a complete list of the built-in functionality that WordPress.com offers, check out their plugins page.
Community Support
Possibly WordPress.com’s best feature (beyond the price) is its extensive support system and knowledgebase.
You can find virtually anything you need to know about using their free platform in WordPress.com’s Support section. To call their collection of how-to articles merely “extensive” would be an understatement.
And if you have a specific question you need an answer for, they have you covered there too.
Visit the WordPress.com forum, search to see if anyone has had your same question, and browse the answers. Can’t find the solution you need? Post the question yourself.
Free Themes
Whereas Medium prevents you from customizing the look of your blog, WordPress.com gives you options.
With “dozens” (93 at the time of this writing) of free themes from which to choose, WordPress.com offers design flexibility that isn’t available with Medium and the other free platforms.
What we’re saying is…
You get a lot for “free.”
Who Should Use WordPress.com?
WordPress.com is a solid platform for almost every type of blogger.
Do you want to be a self-help blogger? Good news — WordPress.com will meet your needs.
Want to blog on food, pets, or politics? You’re in luck.
Just want to write about life? That’s WordPress.com’s jam, my friend.
Source: The Next Adventure
But WordPress.com is good for more than just blogging. You can also use it for projects and e-commerce stores, which isn’t something the other free platforms can claim.
That gives it an edge over the other options. If you want to blog and do something else with your site, WordPress.com offers flexibility the others do not.
However, it’s not a good fit for everyone…
Who Should NOT Use WordPress.com?
If you want to blog for a business, you should skip WordPress.com and look into Medium or LinkedIn (which we’ll discuss in a moment).
Why?
Because it makes you look like a cheapskate.
Free is wonderful, but using WordPress.com when you’re a business is the equivalent of handing out business cards with the printer’s logo on the back of them.
Doesn’t exactly scream “I’m a professional,” does it?
Also:
If you’re hoping to join a blogging community where your posts have a chance to be discovered by new audiences, you should look elsewhere.
Medium shines a spotlight on the best their members have to offer. If you write something great, it has a chance to be featured and seen by millions.
WordPress.com? Not so much.
Here’s a screenshot of the most-recent “Editors’ Picks” on the official WordPress.com blog:
There might as well be tumbleweeds blowing across the screen.
Final Word on WordPress.com
What are the Pros?
Suitable for a variety of blog types
Solid support articles and forum
More design options than other free platforms
Shorter learning curve if you choose to transition to self-hosted WordPress later
Good for more than just blogs
What are the Cons?
Not ideal for businesses
You can’t install third-party themes and plugins
Lack of community makes it difficult to build an audience from scratch
WordPress advertising and banners may appear next to your content
Conclusion: If you’re a non-business blogger who wants an easy to use platform that gives you some control over customization, WordPress.com is a solid option — especially if you plan to transition to self-hosted WordPress someday.
#3. LinkedIn: Best Platform for Professionals
Source: Darren Rowse
Next up is LinkedIn.
Primarily used for professional networking, LinkedIn also offers a publishing platform. This allows any of its 560 million users (as of September 2018) to write posts that could (potentially) be read by any of the 260 million members who are active in a given month.
(Again, potentially.)
How Do You Get Started?
Go to LinkedIn.com, and you’ll see this window encouraging you to join:
Enter your name, your email, and a strong password. Then click the “Join now” button.
You’ll then be asked to answer a few simple questions:
Your country and zip code
Whether or not you’re a student (if no, you’ll enter your job title and the name of your employer; if yes, you’ll enter the name of your school and other relevant info)
Your reason for joining LinkedIn
It sounds like a lot, but it’s fairly harmless.
Still, if you feel the urge to throw your computer into the dumpster, we won’t blame you.
What Do You Get For $0?
A free-to-use publishing platform that’s focused on professionals and business contacts.
If you’re already a LinkedIn member, publishing your content will be easier than WordPress.com, Medium, or any other blogging platform.
Why?
Because it’s built right into your LinkedIn profile. Click the “Write an article” button and start writing.
Who Should Use LinkedIn?
Anyone who wants to reach professionals and businesses.
After all, that’s what LinkedIn is all about, right? Nurturing business relationships.
Source: Syed Balkhi
Blogging on LinkedIn helps to cultivate those relationships.
When you write an article, LinkedIn will notify your existing connections. If your article is great (and why wouldn’t it be?), they’ll take notice. Write more and more great articles, and they’ll start to see you as an authority.
And, like with Medium, great content on LinkedIn has a chance to get noticed by those outside your list of connections.
If one of LinkedIn’s editors sees your masterpiece and decides to feature it on one of LinkedIn’s numerous channels, your work gets exposed to a giant audience of interested, like-minded professionals.
Tip: Want to increase the chances a LinkedIn editor will see your article? Share it on Twitter and include “tip @LinkedInEditors” in your tweet.
Who Should NOT Use LinkedIn?
This one is pretty straightforward…
If you aren’t a working professional, or you’re not looking to reach working professionals, you’ll be better off choosing one of the other free platforms.
Final Word on LinkedIn
What are the Pros?
Good for professionals and businesses
Clean, simple design
Easy to use — publishing platform is built right into your LinkedIn profile
Built-in audience of like-minded professionals
What are the Cons?
Only good for professionals and businesses
Very few customization options
You can’t schedule posts for future publishing
Conclusion: If you’re looking to write posts that will reach professionals and businesses, LinkedIn is the best free blogging platform available.
#4. Instagram: Best Platform for Visuals
A photo and video-sharing platform that’s owned by Facebook, Instagram is one of the largest social media sites in the world.
As of June 2018, Instagram has 1 billion users worldwide. The previous September, they had 800 million users — a growth of 200 million in only nine months.
Even if you subtract everyone who follows a Kardashian or has posted a photo of themselves impersonating a duck, Instagram offers an audience of well over 75 people.
(Kidding. Mostly.)
How Do You Get Started?
On a personal computer, go to Instagram.com, and you’ll see the following:
Enter your phone number or email address, your name, your desired username, and a strong password. Then click the “Sign up” button.
Or, skip all that and click the “Log in with Facebook” button (assuming you have a Facebook account). If you aren’t already logged in, it will ask you to log into your Facebook account.
You could also do the above using the Instagram app on your mobile device.
What Do You Get For $0?
You get an extremely popular social media platform that’s perfect for microblogging.
What’s microblogging, you ask? Here’s how it works:
You get a great image. Maybe it’s a photo you took on your camera, or perhaps it’s a Creative Commons image that perfectly fits your current shade of melancholy.
You upload the image to Instagram.
And for the caption? You write a short blog post.
Here are a couple examples:
In the above screenshot, Sarah Von Bargen cleverly plugs a course she offers in the midst of a tiny, bite-sized post (accompanied by a photo of assorted beverages).
And in the below screenshot, my friend Jaime Buckley (in true Jaime Buckley style), uses Instagram to publish an eye-catching graphic alongside 107 inspirational words on parenting.
That’s microblogging — and it can be done very, very well using Instagram.
Who Should Use Instagram?
Anyone who focuses on highly-visual topics.
Models…
Photographers…
Yoga instructors…
Professional chefs…
Make-up artists, hair stylists, clothing stores…
The list goes on and on.
If you’re someone who can combine great visuals with short posts that pack a punch, you can have great success using Instagram as a microblogging platform.
Who Should NOT Use Instagram?
If your idea of a great image involves pulling out the iPhone 3G you’ve had since 2008 and snapping a photo, Instagram may not be the platform for you.
If you tend to draft novels when you write, Instagram’s 2,200 character limit when writing captions could prove problematic.
Also, if your target audience tends to shy away from mobile devices for any reason, Instagram might not be the best platform to test your ideas. Instagram started life as a mobile app. Mobile is where it shines, and it’s where most of its users call home.
(So, if you’re planning to start a Wilford Brimley fan club, it’s probably best to skip Instagram.)
Final Word on Instagram
What are the Pros?
Great for visual topics
Ideal platform for microblogging (short posts)
Great if your target audience primarily uses mobile devices
What are the Cons?
Limited to 2,200 characters
Limited to one hyperlink (in your bio)
If your target audience isn’t on mobile, it’s less than ideal
Conclusion: Instagram offers a great microblogging platform geared toward visual topics. However, it is not kind to fans of the great Wilford Brimley.
#5. Guest Blogging: Best Platform for Building Your Authority
Sometimes, the best platform for your work is someone else’s popular blog.
Why? Because it can mean instant credibility.
Once your post publishes on a site like Smart Blogger, Forbes, Lifehacker, or Business Insider; people look at you differently.
Yesterday, you were just you — a talented, attractive writer living in obscurity. But then, after having your work published on a well-known website, you’re now seen as a subject matter expert in your field.
What happened? Guest blogging happened.
How Do You Get Started?
There are two approaches to finding sites where you can contribute guest posts.
The first is easy…
Check to see if the blogs you already like to read (that are relevant to your niche, of course) accept guest post submissions.
Browse their “About” or “Start” pages. Try their “Contact” page. Sometimes, they’ll make it easy and have a “Contribute” or “Write for Us” link in their navigation menu or footer.
The second approach involves utilizing Google’s and Twitter’s search capability.
Here’s how it works:
As you can in the screenshot above, you can query a topic (in this example: “blogging”) along with a search phrase (“write for us”).
Google returned a list of results that contained both of those search terms/phrases.
Click on the results that look promising, browse the sites, and see if they’re a good fit. Not all sites will be worth your time. Skip the ones that aren’t. Bookmark the matches.
Then try some other, similar queries:
“Blogging” + “guest post”
“Blogging” + “contribute”
“Blog tips” + “write for us”
And so on.
Replace “blogging” and “blogging tips” with whatever topics you would like to write about.
Searching for guest blogging opportunities on Twitter follows a similar routine:
Type “guest post”, “guest blog post”, “guest article”, etc. in the search box. Twitter will give you a list of tweets where people used those exact phrases.
Every time someone proudly tweets that a guest post they’ve written has been published on someone’s site, as Meera Kothand does in the above screenshot, it’s saved by Twitter for posterity. And it allows you to go on an archeological hunt find it.
Scroll through the results.
Based on the title of the guest post and the site that published it, you will have a good idea whether or not it’s a match for you. Keep scrolling until you find some possibilities. Click the link in the tweet, browse the site, and bookmark it for later if you think it’s a contender.
What Do You Get For $0?
You get the chance to put your words in front of already-existing, relevant audiences.
Jon wasn’t an unknown when he wrote How to Quit Your Job, Move to Paradise and Get Paid to Change the World as a guest post for Darren Rowse’s ProBlogger in 2011, but he was an unknown to me until I discovered the post a few years later.
Then everything changed.
It didn’t matter that Jon was already well known by most thanks to his former role at Copyblogger; for me, his ProBlogger post was a gateway drug.
Jon went from being an unknown — a riddle, wrapped in an enigma, smothered in secret sauce — to an authority on blogging I had to read.
That’s the power of guest blogging. Every time you put your words in front of newly targeted audiences; you have the chance to gain fans for life.
Who Should Guest Blog?
Anyone who wants to build their credibility and boost their authority.
How can guest blogging do that, you ask? Let’s use me as an example.
Before I wrote my first guest post for Smart Blogger, the only people who viewed me as an authority on blogging were my wife and maybe one of our cats.
My site, Be A Better Blogger, was less than a year old. After reading a post about quitting your job and moving to paradise written by some guy named Jon, launching my own “blog about blogging” sounded like a great idea.
So that’s what I did. I was on unemployment at the time, and I had a lot of free time on my hands.
And I was doing a great job in such a short period.
The only problem?
I had little credibility. Few saw me as an authority on the topics I was writing.
Then I received an email…
Jon’s editor, the talented Glen Long, invited me to write a guest post for Smart Blogger (formerly known as Boost Blog Traffic).
That guest post…
Led to a second opportunity…
Which led to a third…
Which led to the post you’re reading right now.
It led to opportunities like writing for Syed Balkhi over at OptinMonster.
It led to being asked to provide quotes for dozens of blog posts and articles.
It led to flattering, tongue-placed-firmly-in-cheek emails like this one from James Chartrand:
It may not have led to tons of traffic for my website or large crowds chanting my name in the streets, but guest blogging did something that would have taken me considerable time to do on my own:
It legitimized me.
Hey, and speaking of website traffic…
Who Should NOT Guest Blog?
Anyone who wants to build up their own blog.
The reason? It isn’t very efficient.
Brace yourself…
You would better off publishing your masterpiece on your website, even if it isn’t yet popular, rather than on someone else’s — even if their website is very popular.
Please don’t misunderstand: Guest blogging is a great way to gain credibility; however, it isn’t a great way to get traffic to your blog. Not anymore.
Guest blogging may have been a nice traffic source in the past, but those days are long gone.
In his eye-opening article on the topic, Tim Soulo determined guest blogging was a poor return on investment if your goal was to generate traffic to your website.
According to Tim’s survey of over 500 bloggers (which included yours truly):
Guest posts from those in the marketing niche earned their authors an average of only 56 website clicks
85% of the authors received fewer than 100 referrals to their sites
That doesn’t mean you should never guest blog. It just means you need to be clear about your reasons for doing so.
Guest blog for credibility, for boosting your authority, and for building your brand.
Don’t guest blog if you’re hoping for traffic. More often than not, you’ll be disappointed.
Oh, and there’s one more group who shouldn’t guest blog:
Those who want to take shortcuts.
There’s both good and bad when you’re putting your words in front of a large audience. If your post teaches them something new, inspires them, or gives them something juicy to chew on; they’ll remember you for it.
And if it sucks? Yeah, they’ll remember you for that too.
Guest blogging is a great way to build your authority, but it’s also a great way to destroy it.
If you’re not willing to put in the time and do the work, guest blogging isn’t for you.
Final Word on Guest Blogging
What are the Pros?
Write for interested, targeted audiences
Fastest way to build your authority and reputation
What are the Cons?
Fastest way to destroy your authority and reputation
Not an efficient method for getting traffic to your own website
Getting published on quality sites is hard work
Time-consuming — may be hard to fit into busy schedules
Conclusion: Guest blogging is a great way to build your authority and get your content in front of new readers. It’s hard work, but it’s worth it. However, it’s unlikely to generate tangible traffic to your blog.
Making the Switch to Self-Hosted WordPress
Technically, there’s one more free option out there…
The WordPress.org software — the same software used by WordPress.com — is free too. It’s free for any and all to use.
However, just like there’s no such thing as a free puppy (once you factor in food, veterinarian bills, and replacing all your shoes after they’ve become chew toys), WordPress.org’s software isn’t actually free once you add up the other expenses.
See, to use the software, you have to install it on your own web host. That costs money.
Is this something you will want to do eventually? Absolutely. Just not right now. Not when you’re getting started.
So how will you know when you’re ready?
Jon recommends making the switch once you reach a 20% outreach success rate.
What does that mean? Let’s break it down:
Step #1: Register for a Free Blog
Sign up for Medium, WordPress.com, or whatever free platform best fits your needs.
Step #2: Follow Jon’s New Method for Starting a Blog
If you haven’t read How to Start a Blog in 2018, do so immediately.
(Well, not immediately. Finish reading this post; leave us a comment; and share it with all your friends, loved ones, and acquaintances. Then, by all means, immediately after saying hi on Twitter, go and read Jon’s excellent tutorial.)
In the post, Jon shows you how to conduct a miniature outreach campaign where you email 10-20 influential bloggers and ask them to share your blog posts.
Once you’ve hit a 20% success rate, you’re ready to make the transition.
Step #3: Switch to Self-Hosted WordPress

The in’s-n-outs of RDP & MKZ
You know, I've had tons of friends in my 26 years, but as cool as they are I was never really appreciated for me as a whole. Once people learned I was FILIPINO & Black, they would tend to focus on my Filipino side. To tell you the truth, I never really noticed it until I got older. Growing up, I always wished I was light skinned. I would say to myself, "If I wasn't black and ugly, then maybe people would pay attention to me and the girls would love me. But I'm just another black kid living in the Stockton." Haha man was my self esteem at an all-time low. So believing all these negatives thoughts, I lived with it. Over time this shy kid made a lot of friends and they ALWAYS thought I was cool because I was black and filipino. They always ignored my black side and you know what I ignored it too and I hated it. Even though my older brother would always tell me to be comfortable in my skin and embrace who I am. It never really stuck with me. But it wasn't until she came along with her beautiful luscious brown eyes and her wavy curls and extensive hip-hop knowledge. Forgot to mention that she had that natural Latina beauty. We clicked instantly, maybe because I was BLACK and then she learned about me lol. But she appreciated my black side so much I thought she was playing. You were definitely special. I would look for you everyday and we would talk about music, my people, life stories and vent to each other. But it was only at work. Once we got home we hardly ever talked which was fun because once it hit 6:45pm, you knew I'd be on my way haha...okay I took my time but I did make an effort to see you everyday. We became best friends. You appreciated both of my cultures so much, more the black side lol But I never understood why. And you would just go on rants why and it was YOU who made me feel comfortable being black. Like wow, Roney can be liked. This girl who has the same initials as a Lincoln MKZ made me feel special lol. But it was always hard for me to believe. I hate how I never took you seriously and would be on my way. Especially, when I got with my EX. These were the times when we started becoming closer and actually hanging outside of work. Because we spoke the same music language, we planned to go to tons of concerts. But I flaked on DFD and truthfully I was scared. I was scared of liking you way more than I already did. But then Oddisee happened and then Ab-Soul and that incident and I held you for like 30min. I will tell you that was the best 30mins of my life! lol. But we had this big ass fight and we didn't talk for 5 months and me not working at Amazon anymore signaled the end. But eventually you reached out and you don't know how much I wanted to call back but I never did. And I appreciate you calling the last time and me finally answering. It was like old times. I'm glad we had that fight because it brought us closer. We've only really had 2 major arguments and it brought us closer. You've always been a REAL nigga. And a true friend, you were always there when I needed you and I was for you but I tried to drop you like trash. All because you were content with your life and I should be happy for you. But I was going off on this thing where we should strive to be better and all that and I hate myself for the way I treated you. This was also the time you almost went back with your EX and I hated it so much. I was going to lose you again and that time I figured forever...FOREVER!! You cried. Not once but twice, for me forgetting your birthday and all I could say is "I dont know what you want me to do" and all you said was just to put in effort to make up for it. But I was too busy with some church girl who didn't care about my culture at all and it bothered me a lot. SMH. That day I cried because you were right. I'm over here wasting my time with someone who doesn't care and I'm over here being selfish and ignoring our bond and friendship and you. After that I realized how much of a real friend you are. I gave you all this bullshit and you still stick around. It pains me every time I think about it. I really messed things up and honestly I don't know if we could ever go back to that. Sometimes it feels like we do but I know your walls are staying put. There is no guarantee that I could hurt you again. I know this time you could just walk away and let it be. But I know not everything is perfect, there will always be bickering and what not. I'm truly sorry for everything, I never want to make you cry unless they are tears of joy or when we laugh so much that tears come out lol. And the only arguments we have are the ones where we both know that all my sports teams are better than yours or my musical knowledge is over 9000. I honestly, don't think I could live without you this time around. I just want you to know that 2018 is going to be your year and I'm going to support you as much as I can. Whether you want to be a cam girl or at amazon for life, as long as you're happy that's all that matters to me. "I'm just here to add a little color to the canvas." ...youre the canvas!! lol. You know I love you and appreciate you and I hope the rest of this year is filled with memories and laughter and new experiences and nothing but good vibes for us. Truth be told, this was supposed to be an MKZ appreciation post it I kept getting lost in the nostalgia...also I didn't re-read this over it's just from the top of my head so I know this sounds like a jumbled mess.... OOO this is the first post I finally wrote about you but I don't really like it. I wish it was poetic with dr. seuss rhymes and what not.
I left out so many things dude!!! Thank you for being you. You really changed my life. Even if I don't express it or show it. Now you know.

Okay its not even a goodbye but perfect moment for this lol Sorry for the lengthy post :(

#TWDFamily Part 3
"It's not just fandom. It's family." If you are at all familiar with Walker Stalker Convention or Heroes and Villains Fan Fest, you've probably seen this tag line before. Though I'd seen it, I had never put much thought into what it meant until I experienced this family for myself. From attending the conventions as a fan to beginning this podcast with Kia, I have witnessed a fandom that supports each other with their whole hearts. I have seen people come together for each other in a way that can only be described as magical. Their one common thread? They love The Walking Dead and attending the conventions that celebrate their favorite show. In this four part series, I will be chatting with many of the people that make up this family. Today, we take a look at the fans who love to attend WSC! Many of the folks who were kind enough to speak to me will also be in Atlanta this weekend! If you see them, I encourage you to say hello! Who have you most enjoyed meeting? Jennifer Cronin (4 time WSC attendee): I’d have to say the person I most enjoyed meeting was Norman Reedus. I've tried meeting him for three years and he finally came to Nashville this past year. I was excited and a nervous wreck. Once I got up to see Norman he was very sweet, asking how my day was. To make things better he even held my hand the whole time he autographed my Funko Pop and picture! Then sent me on my way with a hug and a piece of candy. Mel V (8 time WSC employee): Loved meeting Danai the most. She remembered me and talked about me on Conan O'Brien! [caption id="attachment_21859" align="alignright" width="300"] Mike Angelo with one of his favorites, Alexandra Breckenridge[/caption] Mike Angelo (5 time WSC attendee): JDM, Alexandra Breckenridge, Norman, Lawrence Gilliard Jr. Angela Barr: (4 time WSC attendee): Ross Marquand without a doubt! The first time I met him was in 2016 when I was volunteering in Panels at Walker Stalker Con Chicago. I was standing outside the Panels area as he came out of Photo Ops. He walked over and greeted all of us volunteers and thanked us. Then he gave each of us a hug! Ross gives the best hugs!! Stephanie Rodriguez (1 time WSC attendee): Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Robert Bernardo (7 time WSC attendee): Andrew Lincoln. Connie Connelly (1 time WSC attendee): So far it’s a tie between Lennie James and David Morrissey. Until I meet Jon {Bernthal}. Stacey Lee (2 time WSC attendee): Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Even though I've met him prior to his Walking Dead time, he is my literal everything at these cons and I cannot get enough. [caption id="attachment_21858" align="alignleft" width="220"] Ingrid Bascope hugging her favorite, Scott Wilson[/caption] Ingrid Bascope (4 time WSC attendee): Scott Wilson is so far the most amazing human being. I approached to him for a picture and I told him, "Mister Scott I'm a big fan. I watch all your movies with my dad. How I wish he was here with me to meet you!" And he look at me with a sad face and said, "I'm so sorry your dad is not here come! Let me me give you a hug!" He hugs me and my kids and tells them to be good at school. What do you love most about Walker Stalker Con? Jillian (3 time WSC attendee): I love the fact that James puts so much in to these events. He’s a fan just like us Jennifer Cronin: I love the Walker Stalker Con family. Everyone genuinely cares about each other and we all love the Walking Dead. I've made forever friendships because of Walker Stalker and these people are now part of my daily life. Also, how awesome is it that you get to hang out with people who love the Walking Dead? I love my Walker Stalker Con family. [caption id="attachment_21856" align="alignright" width="300"] Gemma Hewitt during some of her favorite photo ops[/caption] Gemma Hewitt (2 time WSC attendee): I love the whole experience but making friends has been the best part, I've met some amazing people who I now class as my best friends. Heather Robertson aka Sparkles Handler (5 time WSC attendee): Meeting the other fans and making friends from all over the world. We look forward to seeing each other again at the next con. It’s like a big family reunion. Anna (9 time WSC attendee): I love the experience, the people, its not just about the celebrities you meet, i do go to meet celebs but i look forward to being able to see a good majority of my friends all in one place. Mel V: I love meeting up with fellow TWD family; people who have become lifelong friends through this awesome show! Stephani Walker (5 time WSC attendee): Everyone is there for the same reason. The troubles of the world cease for three days. Three days of fandom and horror. Everyone there has the same passion and love for this show among many other shows that are a beautiful and entertaining escape from the reality that stresses us out. For three days, nobody cares about the color of your skin, nobody cares about your religious beliefs , nobody cares about your political views and nobody cares about your sexual preference. For three days, thousands of people from around the world gather for a family reunion and meet their idols, have fun and keep all things spooky! Mike Angelo: It's an all immersive 3 days with people from all over the world that share the same passion you do. Angela Barr: I love so much about WSC but if I had to narrow it down to just one thing, I would say it’s the people that I have met at WSC. Whether it’s an actor from the show or another fan, I love that WSC gives me the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life who love The Walking Dead as much as I do! The Walking Dead family is absolutely amazing! And getting the chance to get together with a group of people who share my love for this show is such a great thing! I am so grateful to James Frazier for starting Walker Stalker Con and allowing me to be a part of this big, beautiful Walking Dead family! Rachal Belew (1 time WSC attendee): I love the TWD Family. It's amazing that everyone there will help you out and wants to be your friend. Stephanie Rodriguez: The family style spirit the fans share with each other. Robert Bernardo: Meeting fellow fans from all over the world. Connie Connelly: How everyone comes together and helps one another. The fandom is so warm and friendly it feels like family! Stacey Lee: Even though Atlanta is hugeeeee, it doesn't feel that way. You can literally walk up to the dude standing in front of you in line at the ops and you have a new friend: it's rad. Do you have a favorite memory or story from your time attending Walker Stalker Con? Jillian (3 time WSC attendee): My favorite memory is meeting 3 of my closest friends; Ashley, April, and Amanda. Gemma Hewitt: One of my favourite memories so far was the Saturday of London, I managed to buy an Andy photo op from somebody 10 minutes before the shoot so it was a mad rush but I got to meet him & he was sooo lovely! [caption id="attachment_21861" align="alignleft" width="300"] Heather Robertson, Sparkles the Unicorn, and one of her favorites, Ross Marquand at WSC Nashville 2017. If you see Heather and Sparkles, make sure to say hello and take a photo with Sparkles![/caption] Heather Robertson: At WSC Charlotte in December 2016 is the first time I met Ross. He was so friendly and down to earth and I loved talking with him. He remembered my name on Sunday after just meeting me on Saturday, and that made me feel amazing. The best part was when he made this amazing video for me. It was him standing beside me and doing 3 different voice impressions. It was the best thing ever. I still go back and watch that video over and over. Stephani Walker: This is my 15th convention but for WSC, I have many great memories. I believe creating a painting of Norman and Mingus’ rescue cat, “Eye In The Dark” along with a quote from Norman himself. He gets hundreds of gifts daily and it was heartwarming to capture a video of him leaving with Sean Clark and security carrying the personalize canvas with him. Stephanie Rodriguez: I found out I was pregnant on the same day I met Jeffrey Dean Morgan. When I met him I was happier than I imagined I would be and he remarked on my huge grin. I told him it was the best day ever because I met him and found out that my IVF had worked. We took our picture and then he gave me a huge hug and a peck on the cheek before wishing me good luck. He was so sincerely happy in the exchange, it was just a great moment and really fulfilled my expectations of meeting him. He was fantastic. Robert Bernardo: During the first Walker Stalker in Atlanta, I remember meeting Andrew Lincoln and introducing myself as “Robert from San Francisco.” He said, “Hello, Robert from San Francisco.” Then, later in the day when we were doing the cast photos—he yelled out to the rest of the celebrities, “Hey, everyone! It’s Robert from San Francisco!” That’s my fondest memory from all the Walker Stalkers. Connie Connelly: So far when I met the governor, I was very nervous. I couldn’t talk and he asked me, “What’s wrong? You’re not a fan of the governor,” As he goes to my throat to pretend to choke me. Any advice for new Walker Stalker Con goers? Jillian (3 time WSC attendee): My advice would be keep an eye on the schedules. They can change at anytime. And if you need any help with anything ask anyone. We’re all willing to help you out. We’re a big family. Jennifer Cronin: Plan your day as far as photo op times, autos, panels, etc. Portable phone chargers are a must! Germ-x so you dont pick up the con crud. Mostly have fun, this'll be one of the best experiences of your life and it'll go so fast, so cherish every moment. Walker Stalker Con is just amazing. Gemma Hewitt: My advice would be to plan your schedule and check the floor plan so you know where you need to go. Don't waste valuable time looking for a table! Also, if you are like me and get shinier throughout the day, a powder compact will be your best friend! I topped up in every photo queue! Heather Robertson: Don’t be shy. Talk to other fans when you are waiting in line. Join the meet up groups and connect with others. You will learn so much from the veterans. Plan, plan, plan. Do your research, it will help your first con experience go smoother. Anna: If allowed, bring water and small snacks, comfortable shoes (if you’re cosplaying the most comfortable you can find), bring a bag of some kind to carry your stuff, buy photo sleeves ahead of time or find a vendor who has them for 2 or 3 bucks each. You can fit 2 or 3 photos in each one until you get home. Don’t stress too much about a schedule unless it’s very time specific such as photo ops or panels. I thought having everything planned to a T was a great idea when I went to my first con (NYCC of all places). My "plan" for the most part fell apart midway through the first day. After that I decided to just wing it. Surprises happened, I got most everything I wanted. It was a great time. Above all, expect the unexpected. You never know what will happen when you least expect it. And don’t be afraid to ask questions to people who have attended cons before. I don’t think I would have survived NYCC and NYC without asking a ton of questions beforehand. Some people will be jerks and not want to share "secrets" but we aren’t all like that. I do my best to pay it forward to newcomers to any con (I’ve done a few others besides WSC and NYCC). I remember all too well what it was like to be new. Mike Angelo: Plan ahead. Start a year out if possible. Angela Barr: Be prepared for lots of walking and waiting. The venues where the Cons are held are pretty big. That means between the Panels, photo ops and meet and greets, you may have to walk from one side of the venue to the other several times a day. And there are lines for everything. Lines to pick up your badges, lines for photo ops, lines for meet and greets, lines to get into the Panels and lines for food. But being cranky about waiting will only spoil the experience for you and possibly for others around you. To pass the time, make a new friend while you wait in line. To make the most of your experience - remember to pack your patience and wear comfortable shoes. Rachal Belew: Aim for the big stars you want but never forget the co-stars. They are all so kind and take the time to make you smile too! Robert Bernardo: Here are my Top 3. 1. Prepare a schedule in advance so as not to waste precious time. 2. Plan ahead for any Photo Ops (costumes, props and specific poses). 3. Bring: phone chargers, cash (Note: photo ops and autographs are “cash only”!), any prescription medication, plastic photo protectors, and comfortable shoes. Stacey Lee: Breathe. Take it in. Smell Jeffrey's breath and have fun. Ingrid Bascope: Get ready for 3 days of excitement and study the maps so you know exactly where to go. And don't hesitate to ask a volunteer for help. That's what we are there for. Want to go? You can purchase your WSC Atlanta tix here!
