Sobrevivir no es tan duro cuando ya conoces el terreno de antemano y sabes cuales son los lugares más seguros y dónde están los recursos.

Yo jugué al videojuego ARK en su momento, me había pasado los cuatro primeros mapas de la historia, y la verdad era bastante bueno. Solo lo dejé, para jugar al videojuego de Jurassic Park y ganar el viaje al parque.

La verdad, siempre me encantó jugar en este mapa, por su estética, es impresionante y las criaturas me encantan, creo que soy el único al que los Ravagers le parecen bonitos. Pero si hubiese podido elegir, estaría en La Isla y no en este lugar, es demasiado peligroso, no es lugar para un crío del siglo XXI, en cambio La Isla… Sería como regresar a Nublar, se sentiría más como en casa.

Surviving is not so hard when you already know the terrain beforehand and you know which are the safest places and where the resources are.

I played the ARK video game at the time, I had passed the first four maps of the story, and I actually was quite good. I only quit playing, to play the Jurassic Park video game and win the trip to the park.

The truth is, I always loved playing on this map, because of its aesthetics, it's impressive and I love the creatures, I think I'm the only one who finds the Ravagers pretty. But if I had been able to choose, I would be on The Island and not in this place, it's too dangerous, it is not a place for a 21st century kid, instead La Isla… It would be like going back to Nublar, it would feel more like home.

the fact that shakespeare was a playwright is sometimes so funny to me. just the concept of the "greatest writer of the English language" being a random 450-year-old entertainer, a 16th cent pop cultural sensation (thanks in large part to puns & dirty jokes & verbiage & a long-running appeal to commoners). and his work was made to be watched not read, but in the classroom teachers just hand us his scripts and say "that's literature"

just...imagine it's 2450 A.D. and English Lit students are regularly going into 100k debt writing postdoc theses on The Simpsons screenplays. the original animation hasn't even been preserved, it's literally just scripts and the occasional SDH subtitles.txt. they've been republished more times than the Bible

sick and tired of the doctor always choosing where to go, give me a classics major who is like “i have a thesis on this werid niche greco-roman practice due soon can we go check it out?”

give me a archeology major who wants to go see the things uncovered at their dig sites before they fell into ruin

give me a drama studies major who asks to go see lost forms of historical theater and performance

tell me the doctor wouldn’t love that, because you know they would. they would adore that.

Estoy escribiendo esto porque tengo que dejarlo salir o explotaré.  ¡TENGO MIEDO! 

Ya tenía pesadillas con esas inmensas bocas llenas de dientes antes de salir de Nublar. Pensé que podía volver a casa y simplemente olvidarlo todo o al menos ir a un psicólogo en condiciones, pero ahora… todo ha ido a peor. 

Estoy en una isla mucho más siniestra, con diez veces más animales que en Nublar y el doble de carnívoros que de presas, algunos que parecen incluso peores que los de mis pesadillas. 

Brooklyn dijo que no había salida esta vez, estamos atrapados, mis pesadillas no hacen más que empeorar… No sé cuánto tiempo podré seguir así.

I'm writing this because I have to let it out or I'll explode.  I'M AFRAID!

I already had nightmares with those huge mouths full of teeth before leaving Nublar.  I thought I could go home and just forget about it or at least go to a proper psychologist, but now… everything has gotten worse.

I am on a much more sinister island, with ten times as many animals as on Nublar and twice as many carnivores as prey, some of which seem even worse than those in my nightmares.

Brooklyn said there was no way out this time, we're trapped, my nightmares are only getting worse… I don't know how long I can go on like this.

I think a really fun idea to explore with Tim would be the idea of him having Hyperthymesia.

Hyperthymesia is an ability that allows people to recall almost every event of their life in great detail. It's extremely rare and honestly doesn't have that much research done on it, but recent studies have suggested that people with this ability are limited to autobiographical memories, people with HSAM sometime tend to show symptoms of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and may demonstrate obsessive tendencies.

I think it would be an interesting way to explain why Tim was able to recall his first meeting with Dick Grayson and connect the dots to seeing Robin. Tim does display a lot of obsessive behaviours, and while he doesn't really physically display compulsion (like someone with OCD would typically display) there certainly is a strong case to be made for him potentially having it.

But also, can you imagine how fucking horrible it would be for Tim to remember each and every traumatic thing that ever happens to him as a hero and those memories just never fading. Yes, it would make him a better detective and allow him to be arguably smarter than your average joe, but at what cost?
