This elisp function in emacs lets me retrieve conversations from tumblr! The api doesn't have any documentation about /conversations.

The sid cookie was edited of course. I don't want my private conversations to show up here.

This race was very taxing, but honestly, everyone lived and that's the least I can ask for.

And honestly, great results for Max, Esteban, and Pierre! That was not an easy race to get through. Even if luck played a bit of a role today, it's still impressive they kept the car on the track at all, considering a quarter of the field didn't even finish.

Lando and Oscar, please keep your heads up. This week was insane and you did the best you could in the conditions you were in. I know both of you will have many more spectacular moments in the future. The season isn't over yet!

I need to go recover and do something non-F1 related for the rest of the day now, but again, at least everyone made it back in one piece. Maybe not their cars, but I care about the people more.

Characters: Sessyoin Kiara, Fujimaru Ritsuka (F)

Summary: An Extraverse-inspired Servant route for Kiara, set during the Epic of Remnant.

The close-knit community of Chaldea's Servants and staff struggle with loss and scarcity as the newly-restored Mage's Association, fearful of their independence, brings them forcefully back to heel. Ritsuka Fujimaru, formerly humanity's last master, is isolated and hopeless, her coping mechanisms breaking down as she's worn down by shouldering the strife in her community. Kiara Sessyoin, fresh from another humiliating defeat just at the cusp of fulfilling her dream, arrives in a reflective mood, determined not to repeat her mistakes a third time. She could solve all their problems at once. Or it could just be bait.

Excerpt:

The tension smothers her sentence, despite her efforts. Kiara continues to stare at her. She really is not smiling.

Ritsuka swallows.

Kiara’s center of gravity slowly begins to shift.

She takes a step to Ritsuka’s right, eye contact lingering. And then another.

And then another, eye contact breaking as she begins to circle around behind her.

“And what,” she begins, “exactly, is it that I ‘really want.’” She stops. She’s so close. Ritsuka’s breaths are trembling. Sessyoin Kiara is standing behind her. It’s like turning away from a tiger, intentionally, knowing that’s the signal to pounce. Knowing that you would stand no chance.

She leans in close, so close right where Ritsuka’s shoulder and neck meet, and Ritsuka can feel the warmth radiating from her skin. Her breath tickles against Ritsuka’s ear. Her knees might give out.

“Hmmm?” she hushes, right in her ear. “Fujimaru. Ritsuka.”

New Header, Who Dis?

so this issue opens with new king bitch in town, shockwave, conducting research into humans via television. so uh.., they put honeymooners in my transformers comic?

surely. one of these images is higher definition. but which one looks BETTER? now its possible this is actually about which master copies they were working from. perhaps a rights issues? (the uk printing replaces this page with a different image) but i note here ALSO. they removed the artist, Kupperberg's, signature form the bottom left corner. a hateful affair all told.

though, this doesnt just piss me off to see an artist works edited, and made to SUCK! (tho boy does it...) my friends... comrades, fellow bloggers. lend me your eyes. DO they see this the way mine do? cause ill eat my fucking hat if that's not DUOSHADE paper. the infamous medium of many a B&W indie. not familiar? check out my previous blogging on the friendly neighbourhood martial reptiles. but i digress.

if this. this INSULT to my very being wasnt enough. they also recoloured shockwave from a perhaps accidentally stunning shade of magenta to a cool lavender... which i personally just found quite boring. well. most of the time

the very first image of this post has another, red shockwave, btw. I suppose, they could be printing or colouring errors, but they could also be lighting/compositional choices by Yomtov (its not uncommon for his foreground characters to be done in monotone, particularly, purple) either way they corrected for it. and to me, this instance just comes of that whatever work flow being used, doesnt even flag the second figure AS shockwave, so a redwave remains...

i stress. i never blame any individual who does this work. its to them, just a job, and why should it not be? my ire is with IDW, and why they enact these "restorations" anyway, and why the fuck people ought to pay new money for old art that has been given so little respect...

anyway reading the print version meant a lot of tabbing between the us and uk printings. which is why i noticed this
