I have recently come to the conclusion that Alcibiades is the real Fair youth (joke).

- First of all Shakespeare describes the fair youth as so beautiful no one would possibly believe him, fairer than a summer’s day and all. Alcibiades was widely known as the most beautiful man in Athens, no matter how old he got. He is also well known, which is what immortality means in Shakespeare’s sonnets.

- The fair youth is described as feminine in Sonnet 20. Alcibiades wore dresses and was buried in one. He also had a dream of putting on make up, but Shakespeare said the fair youth is beautiful and feminine without it.

- The fair youth “steals men’s eyes and woman’s souls” (Sonnet 20). Alcibiades also attracted both men and woman, and was bisexual.

- Sonnet 20 also says that the fair youth was made for woman’s pleasure and men’s love. This can easily be applied to Alcibiades because he had a lot of sex with woman, but never with his lover Socrates, because Socrates was asexual.

- Socrates is the Rival poet who tempted Alcibiades away from all his other lovers, including Shakespeare, since Socrates was the only one to praise his inner beauty instead of the outer beauty.

- Alcibiades is a character in Shakespeare’s “Timon of Athens” and although he is mostly an unsympathetic character in history, he is portrayed as a good and helpful character by Shakespeare.

WAHHHH I LOVE THIS 🥺🥺🥺 the pining and flirting and slowburn of it all… model!satoru and his favorite designer suguru geto, both of them undeniably skilled and born with an eye for fashion….. well-known and adored……..

designer!suguru who gets tasked with showing you the ropes, who’s always so patient and kind despite your inexperience. diligent with his teaching but also so laidback, so easy to talk to… he looks intimidating, but he’s so polite that you can’t help but swoon a little. and he admires your enthusiasm so much…… grows fond of you soooo quickly bc you’re just such a breath of fresh air compared to the divas he’s forced to work with all the time. he thinks you’ve got real potential and he wants to nurture it.

and ofc you end up running into model!satoru eventually…. bc he’s always hanging around suguru whenever he gets the chance. and he’s maybe a little jealous that you’re hogging so much of his personal designer’s attention, but… he also thinks you’re so cute . T_T like a little puppy following suguru around… so excited to be apart of something you’ve dreamed of for so many years……… he looks into your eyes and sees the same sparkle he had before he made it big, and it makes his heart race.

yeah . i’m just thinking abt the peaceful coffee breaks with suguru….. how he’d insist on paying for your drink, ”since he’s your senior” (he wants to be your favorite </3)…… and how he’d just be so protective over his little intern. don’t get me started on the close proximity with satoru when you’re taking his measurements, the glance and smile he sends your way during an impromptu shoot… the way he always calls for you with a sweet coo of ”how’s my favorite intern doing today?”

it’s SO FUCKING FUNNY to me that hyde keeps being referred to as “young hyde”. that man is 50. he is fully middle aged. is he just frantically moisturizing and applying retinol the moment he gets to be in charge? does being an asshole give him a youthful glow?

Randomly thinking about the insanely cool trans woman I met at ren faire who was dressed as Lady Amalthea from The Last Unicorn(movie)

She was beautiful. And as a young trans person it was magical to meet her. She was so nice. And my brother and I asked for her name and she had only just changed it-to what I can’t remember but it was cool and very high fantasy and fit her so well. She was very exited to meet people who recognized her cosplay. And I remember she clearly recognized I was a dude and complimented me on how cool my costume was. It was so freaking affirming.

I love getting to see happy trans people living well into their adulthood. It reminds me I have so much time left in my journey. And that I can be trans and have a happy ending!! My life will be beautiful!! And full of inspiring young queer kids at ren faire, conventions, and various community projects!!

I am so exited for my future!!!

a lament in being trans

tw/ transphobia, dysphoria, self-hatred, fear, homophobia, and a few others (please tell me if this needs to be updated/fixed)

look. i'm a trans male. i'm a teenager in high school. and i'm fucking terrified. i hate the idea that i won't be able to grow up like some of my other friends because of what's going on in the world. i'm scared that i'm going to die young and that they're gonna bury me with the wrong name and wrong clothes. it scares me that i'm hated because i don't identify with what i was born as. im tired of 'friends' saying that i 'look better when i embrace my girly side' and that 'you should just be a girl till you can choose as an adult'. like i'm sorry that i don't fit your definition of what i should be. it's not fucking fair that what are supposed to be the best years of my life have been taken from me because of petty shit. i by no means have dealt with the violence and hatred that Nex, Brianna, Jacob and so many of my other trans brothers, sisters, and siblings under any form of the umbrella have faced. They all deserve to be around instead of being forced to live and die in fear. Nex deserved to live so much longer he did. Brianna should be alive today. Jacob didn't deserve to be lured under false pretenses to be murdered. i want justice. i want revenge. but most of fucking all i want safety. and i don't know that i can get that in my lifetime
