I told myself I wasn't going to sit through another two hour slog of a film, so I had some cannabis before we turned it on. I'm not sure whether that was the right call or not, but this film is FAN FRIGGING TASTIC.

The Blacklist
Snapcube's Ratchet and Clank 3 playthrough
DanganRonpa 1 and 2
Dar Williams
lord-radish
The Blacklist is a network TV show starring James Spader as Raymond Reddington, the most wanted criminal in America - if not the world - with a list of criminals that the FBI can't catch or don't even know about in the first place. Every episode is about hunting down a new target on the eponymous Blacklist.
It has several staples of your average network TV long-runner - a main character who's a bit watered down for the sake of being a viewpoint into this wider world painted by the other characters, a story and cast that tends to meander a bit after 8+ years on TV because they don't want to end the show, and a lot of "copaganda" aspects that come with the main cast mostly being FBI dealing with huge, homicidal threats.
I've watched eight seasons of the show this year.
I have my issues with it. I like it a lot. They're phoning it in. I can't wait to see how they finally wrap up the story. I'm sick of watching it. I'm watching the show with a fantastic fan theory in mind. They're either never gonna answer the big questions or it's gonna be like How I Met Your Mother all over again.
Simply put, the way I enjoy this show isn't particularly cut and dry. Most of the above paragraph is me goofing around, but there's a big kernel of truth to all of it.
First of all - I initially adored the myth arc. James Spader turns himself into the FBI in exchange for being taken to see Elizabeth Keen, a profiler who's starting her first day on the job. That relationship forms the core of the show's mystery - why her? What's his connection to Elizabeth Keen? Is it her dad? She has a dad. Is there more to that than anyone realises?
That plot development gets pretty muddy as the show goes on. But for four seasons, it's a really, really good hook. And that fan theory I mentioned is incredibly frigging juicy - it's the entire reason I began watching the show, and at this point it's literally the only option that would make sense.
Secondly, it builds this whole mythos about the criminal underworld and puts Raymond Reddington right at the centre of it. Reddington, especially early on, is a bit, fat Mary Sue - he ALWAYS comes out on top. He knows every score, he goes behind every back and he comes out on top. And it's all set to James Spader giving the most long-winded, scenery chewing speeches.
That is exactly what I signed up for, and I adore the fuck out of it.
I love Boston Legal, partially because James Spader has such an intense, listenable voice. That show was about him as a goofy lawyer. This show is about him as a chatty kingpin of the criminal underworld, with a lot of that previous charm paired by a willingness to kill and to threaten people in a way that he absolutely can and will follow through on. It's absolutely fan-fucking-tastic.
But frankly, the criminal underworld loses its luster after a while - it's not exactly John Wick after ten years on a TV budget. And Spader absolutely begins to phone it in at some point, I would say it's around season six. He has his producer credit, he gets his paycheck, he shows up and says the lines and wears a hat. That's just the way it is.
Third, the gimmick of the show is absolutely genius for an episodic show. It's money in the bank.
The show is about a list of criminals, and every episode is about catching one of those criminals. You can make that list AS LONG AS YOU NEED IT TO BE. It's fantastic, and you can go absolutely batshit insane dreaming up new villains of the week - one of the dudes they take out in the first season is named The Stewmaker, and he dissolves bodies. Another guy brokers contraband by hiding it under his skin. It's gross, it's grisly, and it's so much fun.
But the episodic structure goes awry in two places.
First of all, the show focuses less on episodic stories over time in favor of longer myth arcs. It goes from strong standalone characters like I mentioned before to strings of less creative characters who act as macguffins to get to the next story beat in the season's arc. The criminal translation agency has a key to the server of a criminal plastic surgeon who'll lead us to the head of the terrorist cell who's about to bomb the White House - that sort of thing.
And the myth arcs are good for a few seasons. Season four is the absolute highlight of the show in my opinion. But that excellent quality doesn't last forever, because how many equally dangerous enemies does the most wanted man in the world have after he keeps defeating every big fish that swims up against him? And with the quality of the episodic villains of the week going down in favor of these larger myth arcs, only for the myth arcs to decline in quality after ten years, it does unfortunately drag the show down a little.
Another way the "Blacklist" concept goes awry - when do you use the more dangerous members of the list, the ones in the double- and single-digits of the list? When do you use the top 10? When do you make an episode about the top entry on the Blacklist?
This show has been on for almost 200 episodes. And I hate to say it, but there aren't a lot of double- or single-digit Blacklist members left. It's a natural consequence of the show going for as long as it has.
Also I'm only going to touch on this briefly, but the fanbase can make the show worse - specifically, a contingent of users on IMDB who hate on the main character and call for her to get killed off with 1 and 0 star reviews. I once saw a review saying that an episode would have been a 10/10, but because she showed up right at the end, it's a 7/10.
It's clearly a stupid thing for me to get worked up about, but like I said before - the show has imperfect aspects that come with the territory of being a long-running network TV show, and those aspects are compromises that come with the territory of watching a show like this. It's really demoralising to see such a vocal contingent of fans going "kill this character off and make the whole show about James Spader" - I like Spader, but I really, really dislike that take.
The reason I'm putting this show at the top of the list - and I have decided that this is a numbered list again - is because for better or for worse, it's been the one show I've gotten invested in this year. It's not at all in the same league as The Good Place or Moral Orel, or even Boston Legal (and that last show genuinely approaches a level of sleaze that makes it hard to watch at a certain point). But for as much as I can call it schlock, or even trash TV past a certain point - I can't deny how much I've enjoyed watching The Blacklist this year, and how much I continue to enjoy it.
The Blacklist is a flawed show with a big name attached, and after ten years on the air it doesn't have the same fire in its belly as it used to have. But it's a staple program that I've really been enjoying, and there isn't anything else I could talk about that has taken up more time or brain power than this show.

Day 103/365: April 13th 2018 | Last Day of ... Undergrad ???
To be honest, I am always paranoid about announcing stuff like this just in case my academic advisor and I fucked up on calculating my degree requirements lmao...... Even though I got 2 official degree assessments (during 2016 and 2017) as well as an informal degree assessment at the beginning of this term. I double checked, triple checked, quadruple checked. I checked for courses and credits until I went crazy LLOLLLL. In other words, I did ****everything**** that I possibly could. If things go wrong, that really would be the worst luck ever and even Bad Luck Lily does not seem to have the ability to fuck That up. Because I know that my GPA standing will be enough to graduate for sure. I’ll be fine.... so... calm tf down @/me. ;_;
ANYWAY. About today! Today was ridiculously busy and eventful. Felt super long. I woke up at the ungodly hour of 9am and got ready. Before going to class, I went to SUB with Charmy to get free pancakes and sausages (+ orange juice 🍊)! One of the UASU volunteers asked me about compliments because they saw my shirt and I felt so recognized LMFAO. Anyway, a bunch of people were waiting on sausages and each person could take 2. But when it came to my turn, there were THREE left in the bin and there was another person reaching for sausages at the same time as me and the just TOOK the extra piece without negotiating with me!!! OR EVEN TRYING TO LET ME HAVE IT!!!!!! BUT!!! I waited for a bit longer for more sausages and even though I ended up freezing for 5 more minutes outside, I ended up getting 3 sausages in total so who’s the winner now!!!!!!!!!!! >: (
Ate the free breakfast, went to the final earth science lecture (zzz) and went to quad for PositiviDay! I basically just made balloons with Vivian + Kevin for 1.5 hours LMAO. I have never made so many balloons in my life!!! Overwhelming but fun lololol. After making balloons, I ate Pearl’s leftover Donair poutine with Erica HAHAHA. After that, I went to the BeaverTails food truck and used the 5 free tickets that I was given *_* and got the cinnamon/sugar/lemon flavour. Nom nom. Spent the rest of the time sitting at the treats table with Cindy. Wheee.
Went to my brain chem lecture aka my final lecture of undergrad........... WOAH... The lecture deadass ended within 30 minutes LMFAO. Went back to quad for club group pic and then went home and rested (cooked + ate noodles, proofread my research proposal + submitted it) before going to Kung Fu Tea with Erica and Jerry at 9pm lolololol. We went for their Buy 1 Get 1 Free event and tbh it wasn’t super worth it because they seem to be really cheap..... deadass filled mine + Erica’s cups with 50% ice like what the fuck........ this is especially wtf because we both asked for no ice smh fhkjsdgks anyway after being at KF tea for 30 minutes, we went to Coco because Jerry wanted more bubble tea??????? LOOOOO>LLLLFJSKF wild kids right here!!!! But today was a good way to celebrate the end of classes (5ever). I had fun ^_^ ~

Oh yeah, I can explain i swear. I left shortly after the opening of the vault on elpis. Hid on pandora. Pretty sure surviving was sheer luck though - ask-the-vaulthunter
@ask-the-vaulthunter
Oh. That...that explains a lot. Yes. Like...nice, I'm not the last of my kind anymore. Great.
All the others have died anyways I killed all of them but it was self-defence...yeah, let's call it that. But... yeah, nice to know that there is another poor sod stuck with the jackass' face for the rest of their life.
Really nice, I was just accepting the fact that I'll look like this for the rest of my life but at least I wouldn't be a copy anymore... and... and this changes everything. GRRREAT.
I'm happy, I swear. I'm not here trying to not throw something. Nope. I'm not going to lapse. I am doing so well now, I'm not going to frigging lapse. It's so fan-freakin-tastic.

Do you have any fics to recommend? I love the slow burn of angst and of course fluff, ALL THE FLUFF. I love Tennessee Whiskey and all of your stuff gets me feeling all warm and fuzzy, is there anything new coming up? Ive read nearly everything you’ve written at least three times, you’re my fave ༼ つ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° ༽つ
Tumblr media
My dear anon! I finally found time to reply to this and --hopefully, I won’t be an idiot and lose everything when I’m just a click away from posting. First of all, thank you so, so much for your kind words. I’m so glad you like it, this one’s a favorite of mine as well. And wow, three times? THANK YOU, you’re the best.
Now of course, I have fics to recommend because I read all the things. Let’s start, shall we?
Tumblr media
@trexrambling: My sunflower. Jess. What can one even say about Jess? She’s amazing. The way she writes things, the feeling she puts into her work is just mind-blowing. Her characterisations are always on point and she writes all the sass. I love it.
Fics you should be reading: Through Your Eyes (seriously, I want this entire series tattooed on my body), Used To This, Falling Stars, 10 Reasons, Afraid of Home, Bite Me, For You, I Would
@percywinchester27: Ana. Ana is amazing, okay? She paints bright pictures with words and she knows how to create the most amazing, compelling and thick plots ever. Nothing in her writing is random and she writes the most amazing Weechester fics ever. Ever, I’m telling you.
Fics you should be reading: Stroke of Luck, Tic Tac Toe, Dee, Silences, It’s Him, Band-Aid, Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwiches.
@ravengirl94: Twin’s fics are just... Uh, what’s that word? Fan-frigging-tastic. The stories are realistic, perfectly paced, detailed and a perfect mix of fluff and angst and so much sarcasm.
Fics you should be reading: The Arrangement, Hold On, I’m Coming, Marry Me, This Can’t Be The End.
@atwistoffate: Okay, so this one has such a special place in my heart because I just love everything she writes. Like, if her fics were a man, I’d marry them. She just... She puts such emotion in her stories, love her characters so deeply and it’s...mind-blowing. I can picture myself reading her book while I sip my coffee in my favorite coffee shop, she’s so talented.
Fics you should be reading: Broken (hmm, yeah, it’s gonna break you), Ephemeral (SAME), How One Day Changed Everything, A Song For Your Heart (question: is the title inspired by James Blunt’s song Carry You Home because it reminds me of it so much), I love you too
@torn-and-frayed: Steph’s writing is frigging icredible. First of all, she gets Dean. She sees through his layers, understands and loves and accepts every aspect of him, flawed or not, and that is evident in her work. And then, she just has the most brilliant ideas ever. However. Grab a pack of tissues and some ice cream before diving into her masterlist, you’re gonna need them.
Fics you should be reading: Twist of Fate, Series Rewrite, Daddy’s Little Lovebug, Art Therapy, Little Things, Drugs Don’t Work (still not over that one, tbh)
@lipstickandwhiskey: Lips. I love Lips. Again, her characterization of Dean is 100% on point. Her writing is breath-taking, the things she can do with words mind-blowing and, if I’m being honest, what I admire the most about her fics is how she focuses on the relationship Dean have because they love and respect each other as personalities, without, however, excluding physical attraction. She just doesn’t make it the most important part and, to me, that’s beautiful.
Fics you should be reading: Hold The Line, Tape Hiss, Ferrum Gloria, Balconies, Bright and Warm, Words and Actions
@there-must-be-a-lock: I haven’t had the chance to really dive into the world of Lou’s writing, but I realized, from the very first sentence of hers I read, that she is phenomenal. She has a very unique, very amazing way of writing and going through her entire masterlist is in my bucket list.
Fics you should be reading: Let’s Get Married, Tiger Teeth, Heart of Gold.
@blacktithe7: Much like in Lou’s case, I haven’t had the chance to read as many fics as I want written by this brilliantly talented person. But I have read Erin’s series Forward and all I can say is that she is one magnificent writer. I don’t normally like RPFs for my own reasons, but she wove this story so perfectly and respectfully that it was impossible for me to ignore. A masterpiece, really.
Fics you should be reading: Forward (and I’m sure plenty others, but I have to read them first)
@sixtysevenandwhiskey: Annie’s relatively new when it comes to posting her work, but she is so good. Emotive, on point, detailed and dusted with love for Dean and Sam her fics are the best.
Fics you should be reading: Brother (one of my all time favorites), In The Wind, Stay, I’ve Got You
@masksandtruths: Rae is so amazing with words. So amazing. Her characters are always so well-rounded, she paints Dean’s and Sam’s portraits in depth and she comes up with brilliantly original stories. I was impressed from the very first sentence and I continue to be, every single time.
Fics you should be reading: anagrAMSTERDAM (this one is mind-blowing, I still think about it), Never Normal, This Time Around, Bless Your Heart
@hannahindie: Let me put it this way. Hannah is awesome. She works so hard on her fics and she loves doing so. Her work is beautiful and very different from the usual reader inserts in this site and it gives me a strong Stephen King vibe sometimes (Hannah, I really hope you like the guy, or please, just ignore this). And she gets our boys, you know?
Fics you should be reading: Wake up, Sammy, Love Games, Freaky Friday, Simple Man, If I Could Start Again, Memories, Brother, I’m Right Here, 67′ Chevy (this one is so good it will haunt me until the day I die), The Wedding Singer (a collab series with the amazing @pinknerdpanda. I haven’t had the chance to dive into Amanda’s world yet, but she’s talented and Barcelona and Ain’t No Sunshine are a proof of that).
@sunlightdances: Remember how I say I love it when talented writers nail Dean’s characterization? Well. Katie is definitely one of them. There’s something about her writing I can’t quite put my finger on, that gives it a very specific vibe. When I read her work, I feel like I’m wrapped up in Dean’s arms under my favorite blanket. She captures Dean’s softnesss perfectly, she lights on his rough edges perfectly, she’s just perfect.
Fics you should be reading:It’s So Clear Now, Now And Then, I Get A Little Lost, Don’t You Forget About Me (the fic that made me fall in love with her writing), Love Laid Down, Loving Everything You Do
@wheresthekillswitch: Lee is another writer I really want to read more closely. She is insanely talented and I could tell that much from the time I read Unspoken. It’s yet another Jensen series and, taking under consideration the fact I do not read RPFs often, you can understand how worth it this is. It’s a beautiful story about love in every shape and form, and fate and friendship and there’s so much love and respect for Jared and Jensen that it warms my heart.
Fics you should be reading: Unspoken  (again, I’m sure plenty others, but I have to read them first, lol)
@imagining-supernatural: Last but not least, the master of original stories and mind-blowing plot twists and angst and fluff and perfection. Aubrey is so frigging talented and you can tell that by reading her stories. Sarcastic and brilliant, every single fic in her masterlist is worth a read.
Fics you should be reading: As It Seems (this one is so perfect and I am going to make a full-lenght post about it at some point), Break Up With Him, You’re Not There (this one still hurts), Down With Me (SO GOOD), Jealous!Dean Imagine
PS. I know I’m forgetting people and fics and, so, I ask all of you to be forgiving. This is just a list on the top of my head, but there are many more writers I love. Hopefully, I’ll be able to make a post about them soon, as well.
Also. Regarding my writing plans I HAVE SO MANY.
I’m currently working on a new, quite angsty fic ( @torn-and-frayed said you can blame her, lol), featuring demon!Dean. It’s mostly written, so hopefully, I can post it sometime after next week.
Then, there’s a very fluffy fic coming right after that, in which we see the five times Dean Winchester almost kisses the reader and the one time he actually does.
I’m planning to work on Somewhere Only We Know Part III after that fic is posted.
A fluffy slash crack-ish drabble (?) based on a prompt sentence by my sunflower @trexrambling is coming right after that and
I’m guessing the next part of Always is next, if everything goes according to plan. And so many more things I want to work on.
So, that’s it, dear anon. Please forgive my looong reply, I hope I could help. Don’t hesitate to send me another ask if you want something else, I love talking to you, guys

If you could see one thing turned into a musical (e.g. book, film, history etc.) what would it be?
Okay so this ask has been sitting in my inbox for a good couple a days now, and it’s one of the most fun asks I’ve ever gotten. I’ve looked through my letterboxd for films, got my reading list by my side, and I’m a history nerd so I’m settled there. Andddd I came up empty..
It’s bumming me out! I wish I had a super cool answer for you anon, but I don’t. Musical theatre is it’s own kind of beast which is wonderful but also means it’s very separate from different media.
So to not make this great ask go completely to waste, I’ll just name a few things I think are awesome & unique about musicals and will never get enough of seeing and would totally explore if I would ever work on a play / musical:
1. Musicals are by definition weird. Nobody in the ‘real’ world sings and dance their feels away with an ensemble backing them up. And while this is usually a criticism of musicals, I think it’s fantastic! This is ground for absurd storytelling. TV and film as a platform begs for more realism (which is kind of an amazing contrast, because with todays CGI you’d think it be the opposite)
So what I mean by that is that even though in movies they might fight giant CGI monsters, we as an audience - generally speaking - expect a certain realism, because we don’t buy it otherwise. Film is cut ‘linear’ which I’ll come back to soon.
Meanwhile, musicals can’t have huge CGI monsters and have to convey a concept or set with just a few props. But that leaves room in which we are willing to accept more because it all happens in one confined space. Can you even imagine the following *movie* pitch:
“Ok so. Founding Forefathers. Rapping.”“Uhmmmm but - nobody rapped back then??”“But we do now. Also no wigs. wigs are dumb. only natural hair pls”“WAIT WHAT!? BUT THEY WORE WIGS BACK THEN MIRANDA!!!”“fuck wigs. fuck realism. oh and all actors have to be people of colour :D”
Honestly, Hollywood wouldn’t be able to sleep for months. This is why I’m super curious how they’re going to tackle Defying Gravity in the Wicked movie. On stage having someone fly and belt high notes? That’s awesome! On a screen it’s kinda... “so this chick is like.. hovering over the Wizard’s Palace..bc she needs to finish the song? What a dramatic fucker???”
2. Theatre means repetition. It’s one of the main differences that sets it apart from other media. Yes, I can watch a movie or read a book multiple times, but nothing will change, but me. The words on the page stay the same. The images I see on screen I have always seen before.
NOT IN THEATRE! It’s always alive and breathing. It’s the same story, yet I will never see the same story twice. It’s always slightly different. Different line readings, different dynamics, different casts. and I cannot understand why Broadway doesn’t exploit the shit out of that!
Why aren’t their live (audio) recordings of at the very least the songs whenever there are different casts? Can’t they see there will be a huge market for that? Especially in this day and age where you literally can keep your phone in your pocket and record the entire show with decent enough audio quality. I’d still pay a few bucks for a well-mixed audio from different casts just to collect them all. (the dutch revival of the Lion King had a live recording of one of their shows. and I normally hate the dutch translations of songs. but dear GOD the energy in those performances are fan-fucking-tastic that studio albums could only dream off. and guess what? I bought that live recording. What A Concept).
3. The overlap of time/space. So this concept of time/space I’ve kind of borrowed from cartoons where you have something similar. I said earlier that film is linear. What I mean by that is that every cut is followed by another one, kind of like a necklace made of beads: every image is its own and only together in a certain order they make a story.
In theatre, this is a lot more dynamic. For example in Fun Home you can have college-Alison be super excited to have sex for the first time, and simultaneously have adult-Alison walk past that and shudder “ughhhh so embarrassing” and it working!
A moment like that wouldn’t work the same way on screen. You’d have to have adult-Alison read college-Alison her college diary where she mentions having sex for the first time, and at the memory, Alison shudders with embarrassment. But you can’t have a room in which college-Alison has sex and then adult-Alison be in that same room at the same time. Even if adult-Alison would visit it as a memory, having her in the same space with her past self is really fucking weird.
So time and space clashes together in theatre, and I find it one of the most fascinating things about theatre. In Wicked you even got three timelines in No One Mourns the Wicked! The present, when Elphaba gets conceived/born, and then, we go to the time when Elphaba and Glinda went to college. (also nerding out moment about how the set up of the bottle works both in the in-universe timeline as well as the story we follow as the audience).
I might have some concepts wrong because I’m very enthusiastic about this and want to talk about everything and might confuse things in the process bUT YOO!!! Theatre is so frigging interesting!! :D

A bit too late
This was not Grendel’s day. This was absolutely not her day at all. She had been chosen as the representative of Atlantis to go to the Grand Servant Gala, despite her protests. Unfortunately for her, Azathoth insisted it be her, despite just how much Mercutio insisted that he be allowed to go party like it’s 1999, whatever the Hell that meant. And so it fell to Grendel to give a good first impression to everyone for the branch of Chaldea that everyone thought was wiped out, despite the very real and very horrifying possibility that she could very easily kill someone by accident with her unnatural strength,
Fan-frigging-tastic.
Then came the matter of deciding what she had to wear. Again Grendel was completely out of her element. Maria had tried to help her pick out a pretty dress, but Grendel hated how restrictive formal clothing could be. If someone attacked her, she’d be at a disadvantage after all. She’d love to think that that sort of thing just wouldn’t happen, but she knew better. Only recently did she learn how to suppress Primordial Terror after all...
She ended up borrowing a suit from Mercutio and getting his help with learning about menswear in exchange for bringing home any extra booze she could get her hands on. Mercutio was a pretty good drinking buddy, so Grendel promised she’d do what she could.
The last challenge turned out to be finding the place. Though this way most likely because of how stressed out she was. She did however find the place, but she was now late. Sighing she entered the building and looked around.
Tumblr media
“This... This is way out of my league...” The sight of all the decadence and detail was overwhelming to the girl. The fanciest place she had ever been was the mead hall of Hrothgar, but that was more like a party bar run by a king than anything. This though? Grendel was going to be paranoid about breaking something all night...
Her outfit looks like this:
Tumblr media
Nothing too fancy and she hates being restricted and doesn’t want to break anything.

Comic-Con: Castiel X Reader
Pairing: Castiel X Reader
Words: 1295 (This was supposed to be a drabble)
Summary: Sam, Dean and YN head to a comin convention when they are made aware of a possible case, but when Supernatural fans begin talking to the trio, secrets are revealed.
“Why do we have to be here?” I sighed, looking around the convention seeing multiple people dressed as me.
“Because, there might be a case” Sam said, chuckling as he watched me look around.
“Might, Sam. Doesn’t mean there will be” I muttered, pulling the sleeves of my jacket down looking at the men, I considered my family.
“Come on, at least pretend you’re enjoying it” Sam laughed, playfully shoving me.
“Fine” I laughed, looking over at Dean who was glaring at the couples dressed up as him and my secret boyfriend, Cas.
“Aww, look Destiel” I joked, laughing as Dean shot me a menacing look. Shooting Dean, a cheeky smile, I turned to look around the venue.
The venue itself was impressive, with over a hundred stands filled with different merchandise.
A long hallway was filled with many people in various costumes, most were quite impressive, complete with wings or fake bruises.
“Why do people even watch this stuff?” Dean muttered, rolling his eyes at the stalls.
“Because we’re interesting?” I smirked, looking over at the girl I knew as Becky, who was staring at us.
“Here we go” I mumbled, watching her run up to us.
“Sam! Dean! YN!” She yelled, giving us a huge smile, her eyes trailing down Sam’s’ body.
“Well, you two have fun. I’m going to the bar” Dean said, looking over at the bar.
“I’ll join you.” I said, walking beside Dean, mentally laughing at Sam’s helpless expression.
-X-
“One gin and tonic please” I ordered, giving the bar tender a small smile as Dean and I ordered.
“Honestly, do we have to wait?” I asked, thanking the man as he handed me my drink.
“I guess.” Dean shrugged, taking a sip of his drink.
“Oh my god!” A voice squealed behind us.
Turing around, I spot two people, most likely a couple, with excited smiles on their faces.
Dean and I shared a confused look as the two walked towards us.
“Your cosplays are amazing!” The brown-haired girl smiled, looking between Dean and me.
“Our what?” Dean asked, confusion gracing his features.
“You two! Dean and YN!” The guy beside her, grinned.
“I ship them, so much. There is no way they’re not in love!” The girl began, not seeing the mortified look on Dean and I’s faces.
“Ship?” I asked, watching as the girl grinned even more, if that was even possible.
“It means you want them to be together” The boy interjected.
“YN and Dean?” I questioned, trying not to laugh.
“Well, yeah! They protect each other all the time.” The younger girl said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
“They both protect Sam too, they’re like family” I explained, forcing a smile on my face.
“Yeah but you can’t have a girl in the story and not have Dean like her!” She continued, making me sigh.
“But what about her and Crowley?” Someone, who I assumed was the girls friend, asked as she walked up to the four of us.
“Her and Crowley?” I asked, choking on my drink, laughing as Dean patted me on the back.
“Well yeah, he found her attractive and has made sure she’s safe a few times without her knowing.” The girl shrugged.
“But really, her and Crowley? C’mon” Dean grumbled, taking a sip of his drink.
“But what I really want to know is when she’ll tell Sam and Dean” The boy smiled, looking over at his girlfriend.
“Tell them what?” Dean asked, looking at the trio while I shifted uncomfortably in my seat.
“About her and Cas of course.” One of the trio sighed.
“Her and Cas?” He asked, a serious look on his face.
“Well yeah, they’re together. Jeez have you even read the books.” The girl who recently joined sighed, rolling her eyes and walking away.
“Her and Cas? I’ve not read the books, I’m just here with here so tell me more” Dean lied, taking a sip of his drink, placing it back on the table before turning to the remaining two.
“Oh god.” The guy said, looking over the girl with pure adoration in his eyes.
“Well, they got together after she was taken and tortured by angels, but he had liked her pretty much since he had met her, but didn’t know what these feelings were and didn’t want to tell Sam or Dean. But then when she got taken, he realised what he was feeling and kissed her when they got back and into her room. He had been protecting her since they met, I mean he even got tortured to keep her location a secret” She explained, a wide grin on her face.
“Oh really?” Dean said, looking over at me with an eyebrow raised to which I gave a guilty shrug.
“Well, I should get going” I murmured, placing a few notes on the bar, before turning to leave and find Sam.

“Are you okay, YN? I sensed your distress” Castiel asked, as he appeared beside me with a flutter of wings.
“Jesus, Cas.” I muttered, looking at the angel.
“Apologies.”
“I think Dean is going to kill us both” I sighed, biting my nail, watching as Cas titled his head.
“But he would need an angel blade to kill me, and he does not have. But why would he kill us?” He asked.
“Some people who know all about us just told Dean that we’re together, so I ran off to hide before he got mad” I admitted, peeking around the corner for any sign of Dean while Cas continued to stare at me.
“I’m sure he cannot be too angry, surely he wants you to be happy. You are happy, correct?” He asked, to which I gave him a small smile and nod.
“Of course, I am, Cas. I love you” I said, smiling as he pressed his lips against mine, only breaking apart after hearing someone clear their throat behind us.
“Cas, what are you doing?” Dean demanded, staring at the blue-eyed angel.
“Dean, calm down” I said, placing my hand on his shoulder, which he shrugged off.
“No! I won’t calm down, he’s an angel YN, he doesn’t have feelings” Dean spat, taking steps towards Cas.
“Dean I assure you, I do love YN” Cas stated, looking at Dean.
“Dean calm down, people are watching” I whispered, looking at the crowds of people who had gone silent, watching the confrontation.
“Let them!” He yelled, pushing Cas against the wall, arm across his throat. Cas, of course, didn’t struggle and seemed unaffected by Deans aggression.
“Dean seriously, calm down” I sighed, pulling Dean away from Castiel.
“He’s not allowed to be anywhere near you, Y/N. he’ll hurt you” Dean said, glaring at Cas.
“Dean, I can promise that I would not hurt her.” Cas stated, shooting me a slight smile.
Dean let out a deep breath, combing his fingers through his hair as he looked between the two of us.
“Are you two, are you two serious?” He asked, slowly becoming calmer.
Shrugging slightly, I turned to face Cas whose gaze was fixated on me.
“I suppose so” he smiled, taking my hand in his.
“I swear to your father, if you hurt her I’ll take your angel blade and stab you with it myself” Dean warned, pointing his finger as Castiel.
“I assure you, Dean I will not hurt her” Cas said, looking at Dean who had by now fully calmed down.
Suddenly, a loud echo of applause came from the room, as everyone who had been watching had begun clapping.
“I don’t understand, why are they applauding?” Cas asked, confused.
“They think we were acting” I sighed, running a hand through my (hair colour) locks.

The main reason I went to Disney California Adventure on December 5, 2016 was because I knew they were about to close down the Tower of Terror attraction & convert it into a Guardians of the Galaxy ride. Being that I like Art Deco more than Science Fiction, time was short if I was going to get some photographic memories of the place. The reason I didn't have photos before (I had an annual pass for 10 years straight) was because the ride is VERY dark and past cameras didn't capture the interior very well at all & I didn't want to ruin the attraction for other people by using a flash. Luckily I just came into a camera that is fan-frigging-tastic at low-light captures. ALL the photos from this day are up on my flickr: https://flic.kr/s/aHskWACPGp
