Was gonna have quiet weekend watching these 4 ep and my polin season over and over again but ofc work friends knew and said let’s watch together and now I had to get this last minute(had to pay extra last minute to make it fun and like mini social call or tea time to go with the team) when at first I was just gonna get pasta + sushi and 2-4 muffins just for myself that’s gone now

it’s really my fault 😂 for saying it’s based on my favs and they like oh polin is the people you watch for right since your other favorite characters left or aren’t there meaning (Edwina and Marina 😂) I was pretty mad they weren’t in season3 and they also knew this season meant more bc polin feel in love in April in books and 2/3 us have birthday week around that time so they wanted to silly celebrate even tho they ain’t watch any season so far and I’m like you really don’t need to just watch polin scenes on YouTube since I never watched s1 and skipped literally more then half of s2 to the polin edwina marina queen and Ben scenes and I still watch the show just fine! in conclusion never tell work friends about what you are gonna do all weekend now instead of taking my time watching the 4 ep for 16-18 hours I have to watch it in 4 hours because they won’t get me going back and forth replaying certain scenes for polin but oh well can always spend the rest of the weekend doing that so why not I guess enjoy this nice off work time with work colleagues since they always getting me to go to their bar gigs to watch them perform live!

I think Leah is an excellent writer and she has produced one of my fav eps of the show in 6x08 it was so beautifully done. I'm just so confused as to how she has written 2 excellent episodes yet co-wrote 5x16 which is one of the worst grossest most disrespectful things I've ever seen. Like was she held at gun point? On drugs? Possessed? I guess I'll give her the benefit of the doubt as all the writers must've been smoking something when they came up with that sl. Clearly "comedy" isn't her forte. Didn't she co-write 6x17 aswell? In terms of marina that was kind of..off but that episode wasnt really about them and the vic and beckett stuff was great. The captaincy drama wasn't terrible just a bit old considering this drama has been going on since season 1 but I get they had to have it in there.

It really doesn't make sense and makes me wonder what the writing process is when two people write an episode together. Like do they both work on all the scenes together or is it divided into different parts? Because the difference is so drastic that there's no real explanation as to why she would be so great on her own but then with someone else...not great. Maybe comedy isn't her strong suit because she has definitely been great at doing serious subjects and romantic stuff as well (5x07) but I would be curious to know what exactly she wrote in those co-written episodes and what she didn't. Like for 6x17 as an example, I wouldn't be surprised if she was the one who wrote the Beckett/Vic stuff because that stuff was written really well and then the Marina stuff...maybe she had nothing to do with since it was a flat out mess. And then 5x16 I just try to forget completely.

some musicians iwaakakuro hc’s

i’ve been trying to write requests but it’s just all in my mind i even have a moodboard idea i’m setting up just for this 

ship: iwaizumi x akaashi, akaashi x kuroo; platonic iwakuro bonus characters: bokuto, oikawa

iwaizumi and kuroo are roommates in college who jam together occasionally for uni events to play music

iwaizumi plays the lead guitar, kuroo plays the bass guitar

kuroo also knows a little bit of drums, he gets bokuto to teach him

kuroo and iwaizumi first get the idea to perform together when kuroo once heard iwaizumi singing to his acoustic guitar 

they’ve tried composing songs together but it isn’t really their forte, so usually if they’re asked to perform they stick to making covers

kuroo’s the lead singer just because iwaizumi is Too Shy to sing lead even if kuroo insists he’s the better singer. 

thus iwaizumi just provides back-up vocals

oikawa suggests the two of them make a yt channel so they can upload their covers and he helps them out with all of that even if he knows zilch about music, but with only a bass guitar and a lead guitar iwaizumi and kuroo feel like they can’t do much music

they get discovered anyway and they perform in this small local bar who has open mic Fridays, which opens with an actual performance by a band, and they are offered to be paid to perform for like an hour so they’re like “yeah cool let’s do it”

the owner of the bar told them to drop by a week before their first performance so they get to know the people behind the scenes

the owner also asks if they need some sort of accompanist or extra person they have some ppl they can ‘borrow’

and that’s how iwaizumi and kuroo meet akaashi!

akaashi works part-time in the bar as a waiter and then on Fridays (which are his official day-offs) he goes there to provide piano or violin accompaniment to those who want to sing on open-mic nights

after iwaizumi and kuroo first perform at the bar they hang around until akaashi’s shift ends and they take a few drinks and get to be close to one another

kuroo is always bragging about how he can tie cherry stems in his mouth and akaashi teases him about “is that the best you can do with your tongue?” and that’s how kuroo’s little crush buds

iwaizumi’s little crush on akaashi meanwhile buds when he and akaashi freestyle on his acoustic guitar, akaashi can spout out some cool lyrics on the spot and iwaizumi is in love

eventually iwaizumi and kuroo ask akaashi’s help for piano collaborations when they post covers and akaashi is just willing to help out

akaashi is always taking notes when he’s over at their dorm to record stuff and the boys are like ???? oh well he’s probably doing some ~piano stuff~

what they don’t know is akaashi is also working on his own little project and they’re totally the material

one day iwaizumi and kuroo aren’t up for stage since they go on rotations with other bands but akaashi invites them anyway so the two of them go to the bar

akaashi is there with his keyboard with a spotlight pointed at him and he’s dressed more dapper than he usually does 

he announces to the crowd that he’s there to launch a little EP of his that he’s long had trouble finishing but recently “had the reason to close the chapter”

he has his violin prerecorded on a laptop that is connected to the speakers which is next to him

it’s a 45-minute series of songs that almost flow one after another about a troublesome break-up and how he’s struggled, 

iwaizumi and kuroo perk up from the back row because holy shit they’d heard these pieces before, in-between rehearsals for their little cover recordings and they’d never asked akaashi about them but WOah he made these himself??? did he write these lyrics? holy crap

akaashi stops nearing the last few minutes of his performance and the crowd claps, but then he speaks into the mic again and says that the last song is dedicated to two people in this little bar that changed his life

he sings a “stripped-down” version of the song with only the piano and it’s almost unnoticeable but the ones with the keenest eyes know that those are tears building up in the corners of his eyes

he gets a standing ovation from the crowd

before he goes down from the stage kuroo ran to him stealing the mic from the host and knelt down in front of akaashi, on one knee

iwaizumi is chuckling in the back, akaashi can hear him

akaashi is tomato red though

“Akaashi Keiji,” kuroo starts, “you have been the most amazing pianist and violinist and collaborator Hajime and I have ever had in our entire lives, I... I wanted to ask if you--”

kuroo takes a cherry stem from inside his pocket,

“--would like to be part of our band?”

the entire bar cheers

akaashi nods and hes embraced by kuroo and iwaizumi when iwa reaches the stage and the host asks if they’d like 15 minutes to play something together maybe? 

the three of them play some covers and is asked what they plan to do in the future by the host when they finish

they say that first they’ll need to agree on the band name rofl

that is how eventually iwaizumi, akaashi and kuroo ended up in a band together making covers and dating one another

iwaizumi and kuroo both date akaashi but they’re not dating each other, they’re more like bros

people get confused about this so akaashi just decides to write a song about it and all is cleared

bonus silly headcanons 

when iwaizumi and kuroo serenade akaashi with the acoustic guitar, and no fancy electric stuff, he swoons so hard i swear

they totally jam to Marina and the Diamonds because she’s one of Akaashi’s fav pick-me-up artists and iwaizumi and kuroo “coincidentally” know how to play akaashi’s favorite tracks hmmmm

akaashi wakes up in the dead of the night to scuffle over to his keyboard and play something that was in his head to record it and note in the morning and the first time this happened iwaizumi and kuroo freaked out because what the shit their boyfriend not only sleepwalks but plays piano while he’s sleeping what the actual fuck?

ok now this is mean… i always find it so hard to choose fav episodes and scenes 😭

ughh ok for fav ep i think i’m gonna go with 5x07 and probably 4x14, but there’s also 4x16 and 6x15 and so many more… oh God idk, why do i have to decide?! i’m terrible at this 😭

now, how do you even choose one single scene?!! seriously, i don’t wanna play this game anymore… why would you do this to me?! 🥺 ughh i’m choosing more than one again because i’m very bad at making decisions and just because i’m allowed 🤭

and again, i have plenty of fav hand movements (yours been one of my fav too 😊🤭) i love the way they grab each other’s head/neck/hair while kissing (which happens like 90% of the time and i feel very blessed every single time 🥰🫠)… those will always be my fav but i’m choosing other kind of movements here ‘cause hey, why not?!! 🥵🤭
