The panic in Phil's voice is what worried Wilbur the most. The slight waver in his usually steady and calm voice as he spoke. "What- what was I supposed to do- what am I supposed to do?"

"You're scared of nothing, Phil, it wasn't real." Wilbur says, a subtle tone of exasperation in his voice. "It was a nightmare and you're acting like it was real."

Phil looked at him, trying to will away the tears gathering in his eyes. He saw Wilbur's concern, written clearing on his face.

"Your mind has made up this elaborate nonsense to scare you, just like it always has. There's nothing you could have done because it wasn't real. It was unfair because it wasn't real!" Wilbur continued, trying again to calm Phil's worries. "Nightmare stalkers aren't real, Chayanne and Tallulah are alive and well playing with the tortoises in the garden."

Phil looked away, listening to the faint laughter coming from the garden above them. Wilbur was right, of course. Of course, it was just a nightmare. Phil used to get them about Wilbur too; waking up in a cold sweat, a gutteral scream tearing itself from his throat as his brain tried to catch up with reality. He'd always wake up with Wilbur in his arms, curled up nice and safe, the same way he had that night. Chayanne and Tallulah curled up in his arms, safe and sound.

No monster.

No blood.

No nightmare stalker.

Safe.

"It was just a dream-"

Phil blinked tears away as he started down at his shoes.

"-you're all safe."

Static filled his ears.

"We're all home and alive-"

His vision blurred for a moment too long as the dreadful feeling in his gut worsened.

"-and they're both happy."

Wilbur touched Phil's arm but pulled away quickly when Phil flinched away. He'd seen this many times, moments when Phil wasn't sure if he was here or back there. His eyes unfocused, jumpy.

He softened his voice, "We're all safe. It was just a dream, dad."

Phil blinked, finally managing to bring himself back. They were safe, home... happy.

He looked around at the amethyst walls, the home he built for his family.

For Chayanne.

And now Tallulah.

And Wilbur.

All safe.

Home.

Okay, so how I came to be is that I remember saying that “oh, I’m so like this guy, I AM this guy” and just thinking it was totally normal to think like that until I met this one person on QuoteV and learning about fickins. After that I was like “OHHHH, THATS WHY I LITERALLY FELT LIKE THAT GUY1!!1!1!1” but now I’m confused.

But like, I’m not really like my source anymore… like, I still probably have Obsessive Love Disorder and I still am an needy fck, but I like, I also don’t remember much of my sources memories—

and it kinda hurts me because I really want to remember it and I want to feel more like my source and it kinda hurts knowing that I’ve strayed so far for it. Like, I don’t know if that just happens sometimes, I’ve only learnt that I was a fickin about four months ago and I’ve never really been in any fickin communities before Tumblr so I don’t know if this is normal. I can’t ask my friends for help because I’d be damned if I told them I was a fickin of a guy that was an incel and the person who played him is hella controversial.

Idk shit about dsmp but I know shit about homestuck. What more do they have in common (besides the Dave-looking little man)

It's not so much the story (though I'm sure you could find parallels with some digging considering how expansive homestuck is) but on a cultural level I've always considered the dsmp fandom to be the next homestuck fandom

Both have unprecedented fanbase size and influence for their times (with a lot of ppl in their baby's-first-fandom stage, giving a similar impression to outsiders) and the storytelling method of the source material for each is super unconventional and done thru very strange mediums. and they're both incredibly cringe in a similar sort of way (I SAY THIS LOVINGLY!!!!!) the general "what the fck is this" vibe combined with it being cool as hell and very fun matches each other imo

There's also a lot of just batshit insane stuff in each, right alongside a serious plot. Like, the homestuck betty crocker from baking as a villain plot points feel right at home alongside dsmp lore about the wilbur soot fishfucking fox birth, y'know? You could list infinite things on both sides that have these vibes. Just, generally, the tonal whiplash of things included in the story that are endlessly jokey but also taken seriously is a big part of both of them.

I kinda skimmed over the fanbase size earlier but the cultural impact of both fandoms can't be overstated. Like honestly, that's the main thing connecting them. When homestuck happened it sent shockwaves through all of internet culture in a way that after it ended, there was a general consensus that a fandom on that level could never happen again. but I think it HAS happened again, at least, it really feels like it in some ways

Also, you can say that homestuck is bad and homestuck fans will agree with you, in the same way that you can say dream smp is bad and dream smp fans will agree with you! (despite both of them, when it comes down to it, being pretty good, actually!)

Its not the same as the homestuck fandom BUT it feels like the modern incarnation of that sort of fandom, if that makes any sense???

Ok so like....I’m really tired so I’m sorry if this doesn’t make sense but like... do you ever think that in universes like the one in little streamer au, where tinies are just a normal part of society....do you ever think that tinies in that universe ever get away with crimes just cuz they’re cute?

Since there is a pretty small tiny population in the UK Wilbur is able to get away with a lot of shit. A lot of people, especially older people, think that since tinies are so small and cute they can’t do anything wrong. So if he walks out of a store with a couple more treats than he paid for he’s too cute to be stopped. He doesn’t do it as much now as an adult, but when he was a teenager he would do it almost every time he went out

Ranboo didn’t know about this until he accident didn’t pay for a drink he bought. He panicked and ran back into the store but the cashier just shook him off telling him to “have a nice day cutie”

Im sorry mother nature but i might have to say fck you for making it rain over brighton. Georgebur could’ve had a movie moment from the 80’s or 90’s and yet, rain. But other than that, I’m surprised that george was the one asking wilbur to be in the music video. And wilbur accepted it :D,, he even said; quote on quote; “Oh okay baby,let’s get you in the music video”. HAHHAA We really do be living with the line, “That time you came to brighton and I fell in love with you”.
