I’ve loved Rihanna since ‘Music of The Sun’ days and begged my mum for all her CDs, so I definitely jumped on the hype of Fenty Beauty. My first purchase was the Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Foundation when it was released and I’ve since fallen in love with more products. Honestly I fell in love with how inclusive the foundation range is (with a range of 50 shades). I’ve always struggled with finding my shade. For my first ever time buying make up, when I was 16, I went to get my shade matched –  I thought I was looking cute when in fact I was looking like a ghost wearing a shade that was waaaaay to light for me! 16 year old Antonia wanted this Fenty Beauty range and not needing to settle for foundation shade that wasn’t right.

Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation

Shade: 450 – Deep Skin with Neutral Undertones | Fenty Beauty

This is perfect for medium everyday coverage and full coverage; lasts all day. Normally I use the pump once, put it on the back of my hand and apply with my damp Real Techniques sponge and brush to blend it out. For my glam looks I’ll do 2 pumps for a fuller coverage.

Match Stix Trio

Deep 400 – Suede + Espresso + Sinamon | Fenty Beauty

This trio consists of matte Skinsticks to conceal (Suede) and contour (Espresso) and the shimmer Skinsticks to highlight (Sinamon). I’m not a contouring queen but with this I find it really easy to use and I’ll develop my skills soon!

Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer

Hot Chocolit – Shimmering Rich Brown | Fenty Beauty

First thing to say – my lip gloss be popping! I don’t normally use lip gloss, I normally find it really sticky and just stick to matte liquid lipstick. But I’ve fallen in love lip gloss after trying this Gloss Bomb, it’s not sticky and smells amazing. This has a peach-vanilla scent and has shea butter – so overall it looks ultra glossy, smells amazing, vegan and makes your lips feel soft!

Full Frontal Volume, Lift & Curl Mascara

Cuz I’m Black – True Black | Fenty Beauty

This mascara wand has a Flat side and a Fat side; Flat side – defines and curls and the Fat side – loads and lifts. I don’t wear false lashes on a daily basis, so I’m always on the lookout for mascara that gives my natural lashes volume.

Body Lava Body Luminzer – Shade: Brown Sugar | Fenty Beauty – I definitely want this for the summer so my body can shine in the sun!

Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter – Shade: Trophy Wife (3D Hyper-Metallic Gold) | Fenty Beauty – I love wearing highlighters and after I finish the ones that I’ve got already this is the next one on my list.

Pro Filt’r Setting Powder – Shade: Coffee | Fenty Beauty – After hearing all the amazing reviews for this product saying that it’s perfect for everyday use, I do want to give it a try.

4/100 days of productivity

I finally launched my literary review Instagram page! I set up both my catstagram (@aslantheturk) and my review page (@beebsreads) with schedules post promotions to boost views and hopefully encourage more followers to join the family. However, I’m feeling quite content with just my own friends and acquaintances supporting the page; many surprised me and followed the literary review page almost instantly, despite not being in touch for a few years.

I took photos of the first 9 books I plan to review using my Canon G7xii but I’m not feeling too happy with the composition and may reshoot tomorrow. I’ve decides to just focus on arranging the literary content well before worrying too much about the accompanying photos.

I need to read and review the next book, arrange the posts in a logical manner and reshoot the books. I also need to do more focused worship (tasbihs 📿, Quran and duas) taking advantage of the blessed month of Ramadan.

So far so good though 🤓☺️

On a separate note, I’m feeling anxious about my appearance as my friend’s dinner party draws closer. I’ve started breaking out due to PMS and am feeling bloated and heavier than usual. I think the distraction of launching my review page has helped me sail through some of these difficult feelings, and I may have also placed a cheeky Boots order (it’s red hair dye, the Fenty Match Stix Trio and a medical grade lip balm)... 🤷🏽‍♀️🤭😂

FENTY BEAUTY MATCH STIX TRIO LIGHT REVIEW

SO MUCH HYPE. Riri, you broke the internet with this one. I’m sharing what I think of the Match Stix Trio in LIGHT.

To be completely honest, I was super skeptical of the AMBER contour stick… it is SO cool that it looks grey. BUT we all know I LOVE an ashy cool bronzer so here we go!

Shades included in the Match Stix Trio: AMBER LINEN STARSTRUCK

Basically, the low down is Rihanna launched a makeup line that has the largest variation of shades I’ve EVER seen. For ease, they created 4 “trios”. Each trio has a contour stick, conceal stick and a highlight stick. They are created to compliment light, medium, tan and deep skin tones. 

I picked up the light kit.

BUT you can buy each stick separately if you’d like or mix and match for whatever you think would compliment your skin the best.

    HONESTLY, I would probably just go out and buy the AMBER contour skin if I had to choose one. I really like the highlight, however I have a TON of highlighters. If you don’t, get the trio. LINEN is very natural, I prefer a brighter under eye concealer but again, get the trio if you’re going to buy 2 stix anyways. Best bang for your buck. 

I also LOVE LOVE LOVE how easy this is. The contour is SO NATURAL. If you’re just starting out with contouring or want a very natural look, GET THIS. I love how they compliment eachother so well and for travelling, this is amazing.

Today’s post is a continuation of my Fenty Beauty review post. I decided to break up my Fenty Beauty review into 3 parts instead of sharing all my thoughts in one post. My Fenty Beauty review & my current scent

Currently loving LA PANTHÈRE from Cartier. It has a very rich and long lasting fragrance. But I am no expert ;) 

Its been a while but I just wanted to pop on here and share some of my current favs. I bought Rihanna's Fenty beauty items and gave them a try. I got the foundation in shade 410. Which is funny because online I selected 300ish which would be way too light but 410 is perfect. It does oxidise a little but still a good match. I love how her range has a good selection of shades and it reflects different the different undertones that women of colour have. 

She has so many more items from highlighters, concealers primer, blotting items, brushes and lipgloss (which was forever out of stock). But I managed to get two key items seeing that I have so much make up.

Fenty Beauty Foundation has a soft matte finish that ranges in shades 100 -their lightest to their darkest 490 shade. Great variety!

I picked up a Killawatt hightlighter duo called Ginger Binge and Moscow Mule which worked as a blusher and highlighter. 2 for 1 deal (and I love deals!).

Side note - I wore the foundation from 09:00 this morning as I had some errands to run and then had to get ready to go out. I literally had the make up on my face till 03:00 the next morning. And it didn't move!! for only $34  dollars it was definitely worth it. 

Skipping forward two days later ...

So after speaking to a friend in London about the foundation I found myself looking at youtube reviews and 1 hour later I was out on my way to my nearest Sephora and buying more Fenty products.  

I also got the Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer Lipgloss which comes in one shade and was nearly sold out. Smells sweet also most like bubblegum.

I also got Rum Match Stix as a nice simmer shade. Its slightly lighter than Sinamon so I could use it as a highlight or as a eyeshadow.

I managed to get my hands on the Match Stix Trio in DEEP 400 which include Sinamon (highlighter), Espresso (contour) and Suede (concealer).

The melt is as hot and direct like a lighter. Still the result is rich and creamy. The MATCHSTIX is a cream to powder formula. So it is dryer than most cream sticks.
