still driving me wild how laslow was just casually saying "i like festivals :) there's so many people and lights :)" and xander was immediately like "do you want to dance? because i will use my royal power and influence to arrange a stage for you if that's what you want"

Tell us about the AU! I know you want to!!
WAUGHHH. AGHHH. OKAY. OKAY SO. I've been watching one of my favorite content creators play through the DLC. Early on in the playthrough he was tossing around theories and said "Maybe KIERAN is Ogerpon??" and that gave me a BRILLIANT THOUGHT.
Ogerpon Kieran AU.......
I've already thought of a very long and complex backstory for this LOL but to simplify it. Before the ogre and its human companion came to Kitakami, said companion was actually living a very happy life with his child. However, they were caught up in the midst of a great war that ended up taking the child's life. The man was so overcome with grief that it summoned a great being (I'm thinking Xerneas), who blessed his dead child with new life. And that child was reborn as Ogerpon!! So kinda like how children who get lost in the woods and die are reborn as Phantump.
Fast forward to many many years later. A long chain of events leads to Carmine's grandfather's...father (so, her great-grandpa?) meeting Ogerpon and vowing to make it a new mask, a mystical and powerful mask that could grant wishes. Sadly, Carmine's great-grandpa wasn't able to complete the mask before he died. This project was eventually picked up by Carmine's father (and I have a whole other thing about him but I'm not gonna get into it right now lol). Carmine's father forms a very close bond with Ogerpon as he continues to gather materials to finish the wish mask. He expresses his desire for Ogerpon to finally be able to walk among the villagers with its name cleared, and for Ogerpon to meet his only daughter. He leaves for a journey to find the last material for the mask...and never returns 😔
Carmine's grandfather has a whole complex about the wish mask, but after seeing both his father and his son dedicate so much time and care into completing it, he takes the last material, imbued with the hopes and dreams of his family, and finally finishes the mask. When he presents it to Ogerpon, Ogerpon dons the mask and its wish is granted...it becomes human :") So it becomes Kieran, basically!! Kieran's wish was to be able to say thank you to all of the generations of mask makers that had helped him, and. To be part of their family 🥺 What he doesn't know is that his wish to be human stems from the fact that he already was human, once. But he doesn't remember his life before he was reborn as a Pokemon.
So, Carmine's grandfather happily accepts Kieran and his desire, and takes him home to live with him and Carmine. Note that Kieran is probably around 5-6 at the time, so he's BABY. And Carmine is only about a year or two older. She isn't sure what to think about suddenly getting a new brother, but she's happy to have someone to boss around lmao.
And once a year, during the festival of masks, Kieran lets his facade fall and wanders around as Ogerpon again. Just to keep in touch with his roots haha
So obviously with Kieran being Ogerpon the events of the DLC will play out differently than canon. Kieran slyly compliments the ogre in front of the player and mentions that maybe it's just misunderstood. He's been trying for a while to change the villagers' minds about what happened to him and the Loyal Three all those years ago, but it hasn't been going...too well lol. So when the player shows up, and things start to shift, Kieran gets really excited bc he realizes he finally might be able to clear his name :")
Is this AU silly and dumb as hell? Yes. Does it not really make sense with canon and is full of plot holes? Yes. Am I brainrotting over it anyway? Also yes.
Take a little edit I did of Kieran's official art to fit what I had in mind for the AU ;) I wanted to draw it but I'm at work rn lmao RIP
Tumblr media
ALSO LITTLE DOODLE OF THE BOY
Tumblr media
ALSO bc of Ogerpon's original gender Kieran probably goes by he/they pronouns in the AU

So, now that the DLC is out, I was wondering if I could request a part two to the pokepasta trainer reader? Like them and their team meeting Carmine, Kieran, and Perrin?
Oooo yeah!! I'm guessing you meant this post (being part 1). I'm honestly impressed by the notes ghshghsh but I'm glad ya'll love the pokepasta!reader <333
Gonna format these as hcs if that's okay
.........
Carmine
She's seen tourists bring in weird Pokémon, but you brought the scariest ones she's ever seen in her life.
She sends out her Poochyena to do battle, thinking she can intimidate you....and she SCREAMS when your Freakachu comes out to play.
It's loud enough for all to hear and for the caretaker to arrive and prematurely end the fight.
Well, at least she finally got off your back before things could get too heated.
Kieran was shocked though bc his sister was usually so brave.
During your time in Kitakami, she's just going to,,,,stare at your Pokémon team, especially when you introduce her to Purin and Disabled (she definitely thinks they're some weird gray regional variants and nothing more)
She's extremely confused as to why you named your Wigglytuff after a status move.
And Missingno.....is something she can't even begin to wrap her brain around, but she buys the story of it being from a really old Kantonian myth. That's something she can 100% believe.
After meeting Ogerpon and learning she's been misunderstood all along, Carmine slowly realizes she may have treated your Pokémon the same way.
They've been through some horrible things, and she was quick to judge them, so she apologizes for that.
Although Freakachu's smiles still creep her out..she's friendlier towards Purin and Disabled (not that she'll ever admit this, ofc).
Kieran
Like Carmine, he's gonna be pretty spooked by how your Pokémon team looks, at first.
But considering he never thought the Ogre was scary. he's nowhere near as judgmental.
During your walks together and at dinner, you explained where your 'mons came from--or at least the short and least terrifying versions of those tales so you didn't freak him out too much..
He's just fascinated that you've gone out of your way to help them despite their reputations as "monsters".
He hopes to one day have a strong bond like that with his team, or Ogerpon.
Tbh he found it really sweet when you purchased a Pikachu mask for Freakachu to wear so he could visit the festival of masks without scaring anybody.
Missingno was, understandably, the most bizarre Pokémon Kieran has ever seen, but once you explained how it's an old Kantonian myth...he's like "wowzers..that's so cool!!"
He genuinely believes you and him have a lot in common: being outcasts and adoring Pokémon most people were afraid of.
So it's even more heartbreaking for him when Ogerpon ultimately chooses to go with you instead of him.
Despite your team being utterly terrifying, she felt more comfortable being by their side...and it doesn't make sense to him at all.
It just doesn't seem fair.
He envies how your Missingno can pretty much give you whatever items you wanted--and an infinite number of them, too.
You warned him that it's not something you messed around with (plus, it corrupted an old friend of yours long ago), but he didn't care about any of that.
He wanted to know how to harness that power.
Maybe when he becomes even stronger, he'll challenge you again...
And the winner got to keep Missingno.
Perrin
She thought the Bloodmoon Beast was a terrifying and ominous force to be reckoned with, especially in the photograph she obtained.
But what you had on your team was nothing short of both amazing...and downright horrifying.
She assumes Freakachu, Purin, and Disabled are some Pikachu, Jigglypuff, and Wigglytuff variants she's never heard about or have gone extinct.
Maybe like Bloodmoon Ursaluna, they were from a distant land or some time period.
So she keeps an open mind and convinces them to do some cool poses (despite her Hisuian Growlithe always hiding behind her, tail tucked between its legs, and being certain that Purin's stare is gonna haunt her dreams now).
The only one she's heard of before was Missingno, having once believed it to be a myth from Kanto...and now she can see that it's real! And it's in your possession!
She wants a photo of it. Not for any sort of recognition or accolade, but as proof in the books that it's legit.
Unfortunately, while she can see it glitching, changing forms, spawning items for you, etc. right before her very eyes...it never shows up on camera.
Every photo she attempts to take gets corrupted or lost in the developing process.
You politely have to ask Perrin to stop before she breaks her camera.
She is, however, free to photograph your other Pokémon as they are in their natural state (aka acting like their normal counterparts and not creatures that really should've been dead long ago).

One of the things I really like about the Teal Mask DLC for Scarlet and Violet is that it's all about examining your biases, learning the truth, and not just going on first impressions.
Spoilers to follow.
There's both a blatantly obvious and less obvious way the DLC does this, and I actually really like how it was handled from a storytelling perspective.
The obvious case is Ogerpon. When the player first gets to Kitakami and starts learning about Mossui Town's ogre story, it's playing the Momotaro fairy tale straight - the signs feature a young human figure, a dog, a pheasant, and a monkey chasing out an ogre. But by the end of things, the player - and by extension the entire town - has learned the truth about Ogerpon and how she was framed (species is 100% female). She was the victim in this scenario, and the so-called "Loyal Three" were actually the perpetrators. We don't even know what happened to her human companion or if he even survived their attack. By the end of the DLC, we've helped Ogerpon find acceptance in the town that formerly shunned her, and she's decided to travel with the player, whom she's bonded with. It's a much more typical story about acceptance, truth, and getting the facts straight. Ogerpon deserves reparations.
Less obvious, however, is the player's relationship with Carmine and Kieran, and this is where it's really important to dig a little deeper.
When the player first walks into town, Carmine challenges them immediately. She's looking for a fight and for someone to put down, and she wants to prove her superiority over the new visitors. She's surprised to lose to the player, and runs off when the caretaker arrives. The entire time, she's keeping Kieran under her thumb, barely allowing him to speak. It's not a good first impression at all, and you come away from that interaction thinking she's just a run of the mill bully.
Your first interactions with Kieran are the opposite. He seems to like the player quite a bit, and is really shy about it but really excited to have an actual friend. He's in awe of the player's skill, and he constantly puts himself down, saying he could never compare even though Carmine herself says he's almost as good as she is. You feel bad for him, and you want to look after him, especially since his own sister is constantly snapping at him. He relates to the outcast ogre from the story, and he dreams of meeting it someday.
Once you and Carmine meet Ogerpon by chance at the festival, however, things start to shift. Carmine doesn't want her brother to be upset that he missed the ogre he loves so much, so she hides it from him, even though this causes more grief in the long run. She does actually care about his feelings on some level, even if she's terrible at showing that and still actively puts him down all the time. When she and the player learn the truth about Ogerpon from her grandfather, she's righteously infuriated on Ogerpon's behalf, and she immediately wants to set things right. You and Carmine agree to respect the grandfather's wishes about not telling Kieran yet, but Kieran has been listening in the whole time, and he deems this a betrayal.
From Kieran's point of view, of course it feels like a betrayal - he was bonding with you, and it feels like now his sister has stolen you from him and you're both lying to him about Ogerpon, even if it's to protect him instead of make fun of him, as he wrongfully assumes. He starts avoiding the player and Carmine more because he's emotionally hurt, as most people would be in his situation, and because of this, it ends up being you and Carmine who start to bond with each other - going to get the supplies to repair the mask. When Kieran steals the mask, he's doing it out of pure jealousy - this was supposed to be something he did, not you and his sister. That jealousy unfortunately awakens the covetous spirits of the "Loyal" Three, who come back to life.
After confronting the alleged "Loyal" Three for the first time and collecting information in town, you and Carmine go off to fight them with Ogerpon in tow as Kieran stays behind to tell the townspeople the truth. This is important, because you and Carmine are now actively bonding with Ogerpon, and Kieran isn't even though he's helping her out. By the end of things, once everything is set right with the townspeople and Ogerpon has all her masks back, she indicates that she wants to team up with the player, who's been the one directly interacting with her. Kieran's jealousy gets the better of him again, and he challenges the player for the right to be Ogerpon's trainer, even as Carmine tells him he needs to consider Ogerpon's feelings, too. The player ends up with Ogerpon, of course, and Kieran doesn't take it well.
At the end of things, when they have to go back to school, Carmine is cheerily saying goodbye to everyone, and she reveals that she was being so standoffish because she didn't feel comfortable welcoming outsiders into her hometown. She states she's glad to have gotten to know everyone and hopes to see the player again. Kieran, on the other hand, doesn't even show up, and is locked in his bedroom at his house, swearing that he's going to become stronger than the player and getting a somewhat malicious-looking smile on his face. Things have been completely flipped from how they were at the start.
By the time that "To be continued..." screen hits, you've got much more mixed perspectives on both Carmine and Kieran, and they're both much more morally grey than they seemed at first glance. Carmine is constantly putting her brother down at the beginning, but she does make it clear she worries about him and his feelings, and she does care about him. She becomes nicer to the player once she warms up to them, and she knows what happened to Ogerpon was wrong and gets angry over it. Kieran seems like a beleaguered younger sibling at first, constantly at the mercy of his sister, but he has a fierce streak of jealousy that causes active problems for his hometown and damages his relationship with the player even more than the secret-keeping does. Both kids clearly have issues to work through that are affecting their ability to relate well to others and form bonds, and it's tough to see - even the Mossui Town locals say things about them that make it clear they're considered outsiders in their own home to a degree, and not just because they're descended from the mask maker.
I'm curious to see how things go for them in The Indigo Disk.

Fates has committed many crimes, but their biggest one to me was not releasing the Festival of Bonds DLCs outside of Japan. Like come on, the silly character conversations were easily the best parts of Fates' DLCs, and they didn't even bother giving us the best ones of the bunch!

I love the Hoshidan festival of Bonds (the jp exclusive dlc for fates) because you get some really funny details for the child units based on their mothers.
Some of my favourite include
Kagero!Ophelia seeing Lissa in a dream. Her description is accurate and Ophelia says she look like Elise.
Orochi!Soleil inheriting Orochi's future sight as gaydar. Soleil ignores it and goes after girls she knows will not respond to her positively. Orochi!Soleil really said "This sign can't stop me, because I can't read."
The men in Selena!Nina's day dreams all become Tsunderes, Nina blames Selena for this.
Oboro!Nina assumes her parents do bondage.
Azura!Soleil still can't sing. Apparently Azura agrees to help her, using a technique that involves putting chopsticks and Dango into her mouth. I still have no idea how this is supposed to help.
Takumi!Shigure points out how weird it is to marry your sister, even if you're not related.
Odin!Shigure also has the brand.
Odin!Kana is never mentioned as having a brand.
Ophelia!Kana however does have a brand.
Felicia!Soleil is worse at getting girls because she fucks up at the worst times.
Selena!Midori makes a doll of her mother, Selena assumes it's a doll of Midori. (I love how similar they look it's really cute)
Charlotte!Asugi helps his mother seduce noble men in exchange for candy.
Camilla!Shiro is going to kill every last one of them!

It really sucks that the Fates retranslation mod author added in and or/changed a bunch of stuff from the original game, because if the description of the mod is to be believed, this might just be the best English translation Fates has ever had; they went through every version of the game's script they could find, including the localized one, the original japanese one, and the other fan translations, all to ensure accuracy, have a team working with them to double-check for mistakes, went out of their way to make the dialogue sound natural, and plan on translating ALL of the game, including supports.
Given that those last two points are practically the biggest issues with the og english patch (there are some mistakes here and there in terms of poor translation from what i've heard, but the big flaws with the mod are that a lot of the dialogue reads heavily stilted and unnatural, along with large swathes of the game remaining untranslated from the original japanese, and probably will stay that way for the rest of time given that the mod team has been dead for half a decade at this point), having a mod that's basically just the english patch but better and actually finished seems like a dream come true.
Annnd then they started adapting scenes from Fates's supplemental material into the story; and made Lilith into a playable character in the main story, along with writing and adding in supports for her based off interactions she has with other characters in supplemental material; and created new supports for the Corrinsexuals based off some of their interactions from the Nohrian festival of bonds DLC; and “rebalanced” certain characters; and made up new boss conversations for if certain characters fight a boss; and completely rewrote the Male Corrin and Soleil support chain; and added in more same sex S-supports; and rewrote the begginings of Peri's support conversations to have her be less hostile to the other party; etc…
Like, i appreciate the amount of effort that must have been put into all those new additions, especially since Fates supplemental material isn't exactly the easiest thing in the world to find, but this isn't a retranslation anymore; this is a content patch of Fates with a new translation slapped on top of it.
And i'd be fine with that, if only the retranslation and the stuff that straight-up changes the game were put in different mods; if they had one mod that was called “Fates retranslation”, and it actually WAS just the base game but with a translation that's more faithful to the original jp script (kinda like another Fates retranslation patch out there), and another called “Fates expansion”, where all the stuff that changes the game and/or adds in new content for it was put, i wouldn't have any issues with this whatsoever.
However, that's not how it works; as far as i'm aware, if you download the retranslation mod, you're gonna have to deal with all the extra changes to the game that came with it, which alter the game so much you're still better off playing the unfinished, awkwardly translated english patch if you want to see what a more faithfully-translated Fates looks like.
Man, Fates's just cursed to never get a good, finished localization, isn't it?
Most likely yeah. Idk why people are so dead set on changing stuff that didn't need to be changed. Localization/translation isn't meant to be "create your own story from these building blocks" it's just... translate a script in such a way that you get the same info as the original, but it's more readable to the audience that uses the different language.

I hope you enjoy the dlc! I liked it a lot, and as someone who just likes your opinions, i'm looking forward to seeing what your thoughts are.
Spinarak is adorable!
Spoilers ahead.
Pros:
The story felt a lot stronger than the mainline game for the most part. Maybe it was because it was shorter but Arven and Nemona's storylines really felt like too little too late.
The plot twists were interesting enough, and I'm interested to see where the cliffhanger goes.
I liked that it starts off looking like Carmine is going to be a bully and a problem, but it turns out she's actually rather complex and shows her true personality really quickly. And whereas you think Kieran is going to grow in a different way (like standing up to Carmine), he instead turns out a bit worse off (which is also nicely complex characterization!) Both of them also seem to have some kind of issues going on the background, so I'm curious to see if the second DLC covers it.
It's nice to see some Pokemon that had stayed Dexit'd for a while. Yes, some were in BDSP, but BDSP is a top down game and it doesn't feel like it's happening in...let's just say a more organic space. There's also no way to interact with you Pokemon in BDSP other than just talking to them if they're walking with you.
I liked getting new clothes and hairstyles with the Teal card. I changed into one of the new hairstyles.
Poltchageist and Sinistcha are nice. They make me want to drink matcha more.
It was nice to get a new area to explore. Part of the reason I stopped really playing Violet at all post-game was Paldea felt very empty with nothing to do.
Mossui really does feel like a rural Japanese town.
Ogrepon is cute.
Cons: Not a lot of new music. The main theme plays nearly everywhere and after 20 mins or so it gets very boring.
Not happy about the PLA stuff at all. I don't want an Adaman descendant, I don't want Hisuian variants, I don't want an event similar to PLA with music remixed from it. I don't want any PLA. The game caused too much damage.
Kieran feeling betrayed seemed a bit forced? Like, the player is just honoring his grandfather's wish to not share the story with him yet due to his age and he goes from feeling betrayed to practically resenting the player when he cannot defeat them. Him comparing himself to Ogrepon when Carmine and the player left him out of the loop (again, honoring what Carmine and Kieran's grandfather asked) felt overdramatic and...not comparable at all? (But then again kids just do that kind of thing) Also he expected Ogrepon to just go with him when he hadn't bonded with it at all. Carmine even says that Ogrepon's feelings are also important but he just ignores it. He's got a lot to learn, and I hope we see him learn it.
The glitchy backgrounds are still happening. My Eelektross breaks the ground revealing the massive ocean that is responsible for a lot of glitches (the ocean is literally too big for the game), and the walls sometimes do that jiggly thing that makes some people feel queasy when they see it.
The festival stalls are disappointing. At first I was excited to see what new foods they have. I mean yeah, it's annoying that most shops in SV just open up a menu and make you feel like Paldea favors cooking over everything else, but sometimes it's nice to see the worldbuilding with the food. However there are only 8 stalls, one of which you can't even interact with, and 4 of them are the same! There's two candied fruit stalls and two shaved ice stalls! They really couldn't just make two more new stalls, or at least change the menus on two of them? I've been to carnivals and festivals IRL and yeah, there are often repeat stalls (though usually at bigger events), but there are also stalls that sell similar things but are made by different brands.
I was hoping for a bigger variety of jinbei and masks. I really don't want Pikachu and Eevee things again. I'm very much over those two. And while I liked being able to switch from the uniform to the jinbei, I still don't like that I'm forced to wear between a handful of pre-created outfits that clash horribly with most of the accessories.
The landscape feels old fast, and empty like Paldea. A lot of it is the same kind of landforms, just arranged differently. The only unique thing was the Infernal Pass.

I still think it really sucks that we missed out on some of the dlc for fates. There were so many conversations they left untranslated, and we missed out on seeing other things like faceless with pumpkins on their heads, unique anna sprites (shown below, although in low quality lmao)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And not to mention how they got a cipher tie-in with enherjar of Marth, Lucina, and Minerva (which we obviously didn't get at all. Rip cipher)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Btw: Korisnik on YouTube has translated/is translating some festival of bonds convos (both nohrian and hoshidian)!
They also have a blog @/fe14festivalofbondstranslations
and there's a gamebanana page with the translations too, though it's also still a wip :)

GameStar 's Sascha Penzhorn scored the game 75 out of 100, writing the game is for those who "enjoy planning perfect long-distance shots", but criticizing the story and the inclusion of microtransactions in a single-player game. Īccording to review aggregator Metacritic, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 received "mixed or average reviews" for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox Series X versions, while the PlayStation 5 version received "generally favorable" reviews. It was released on PlayStation 5 in August 2021. The game was released on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on 4 June 2021. The development began shortly after its predecessor Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts. Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 was developed by Polish video game developer CI Games, the developer of the Sniper: Ghost Warrior series. The game's protagonist, Raven, and his handler, Alex, are not connected to the previous game. The game is set in the fictional Middle Eastern country of Kuamar. The long-distance shot missions, however, require the player to eliminate targets further than 1,000 meters (3,300 ft).Īs in the previous game, the plot is about overthrowing a tyrannical government. The game and its DLCs feature a total of six missions, distinctly categorized as either "classic" and "long-distance." The classic missions offer an experience comparable to that of the last installment, as they involve a mix of infiltration, close-quarter combat, and stealthy elimination of targets closer than 400 meters (1,300 ft). Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 refines the gameplay of its predecessor, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts.

The only hope for Sothie now, is if an alt had her pre-death look. The devs implied that the Sothis Billy had is an reincarnation, and the OG took back her power in CF. It's honestly a shame, since she would have been the Midna of FE. Specially since we saw a peak of her "adult" form, so that iconic line would have been awesome.
Honestly... I don’t know anon.
Are we suppose to understand adult!Sothis (the one Rhea remembers) and loli!Sothis are too different characters? Loli!Sothis would have adult!Sothis’s memories but wouldn’t be adult!Sothis, but her own different character?
this is as headache inducing as the LoZ timeline, young!link who returned to his young!form after the adult!link events isn’t adult!link in his preteen body, but a different character from base!young!link and adult!link?
Nonetheless, imo, it is heavily implied loli!Sothis recovered her memories just before merging, when she collapses after hearing Rhea sing their lullaby. So if adult!Sothis goes full on Midna and becomes sassy at the end of non-CF routes, there’d still be the “if you were still around during the events of the game or even earlier why the frick didn’t you tell us anything about the mole people, or genuinely worried about your daughter given how both Claude and Dimitri use their relics around and you know what those weapons used to be?”.
An anon wrote this ask to @butwhatifidothis where Sothis would have been used to her fullest to make a compelling character, but alas it was not meant to be.
I suppose we will all expect a Rhea-Sothis forging bonds when Rhea will be released in FEH, but Rhea will talk to Alfonse instead and we will all be disappointed because that’s how things goes.

m!Corrin / Ophelia (Married) Festival of Bonds DLC Translation, Part 2
I got a request a while back to translate m!Corrin / Ophelia’s married conversation from the Festival of Bonds DLC. This DLC tragically was never localized, so it’s more important than anything else to make sure these convos get great fan translations!
Thanks @yukiwrites for waiting so long!
A couple of fabulous translators over at the Festival of Bonds Translations blog actually already translated this convo, but they left out an interesting cultural tidbit that helps non-Japanese understand the conversation a bit better, so I still decided to do my own translation. But I suggest ya’ll check out their’s as well, as I didn’t discuss everything they did, either.
Click here for those translations: Regular Convo - Married Convo

Corrin: So how did it go, Ophelia? Did they understand the meaning of the decorations?
Ophelia: Yeah…
Corrin: You look upset. Did no one know the meaning?
Ophelia: No, that’s not it, they did know. When I asked, they happily told me. And they said that you’re right. Both are important decorations, used to wish for children to grow. And the fish that are bundled together aren’t rivals… they are a family. The first and second ones are husband and wife, just like us.
Corrin: So that was it…
Ophelia: I’m sorry, Corrin… I made you go along with my game. I’m so embarrassed. I played around and selfishly gave such important objects such a strange meaning. Even if they aren’t legendary fish, or a great sanctuary… they are still amazing decorations that have always had important meanings.
Corrin: Please don’t let it get you down, Ophelia. You care, and that’s what matters. I also think it was very admirable of you to try to come up with the meaning on your own. I didn’t even try to look at the decorations until you told me about them. I’m the one who should be embarrassed!
Ophelia: Well… we’re in the middle of battle, so that couldn’t be helped. Thanks, Corrin. You went alone with what I was saying. You really are my chosen person of destiny.
Corrin: You’re welcome. Here, these peach blossoms are for you.
Ophelia: Wow… they’re pretty! Thank you! But this is so sudden! Why?
Corrin: I did the same as you, and asked the cart owners about the meanings. They told me that they use peach blossoms as decorations when they celebrate the growth of young girls. The first time I saw you, you were still really small, but… you’ve grown so much. Congratulations, Ophelia. You became an amazing woman, and then married me… …Thank you.
Ophelia: ...No, I’m the one who should thank you. The fact that you chose me is my greatest happiness in life. I’m happy I came here. I’m happy I grew up… and became your wife.
Corrin: Ophelia… Ha ha ha… You’re… beaming. Carrying that bouquet, you look just like a bride…
Ophelia: Tee hee… Think so? Let’s have a proper wedding ceremony someday! Until then, I’ll cherish these peach blossoms of legend, blessed by an angel… I mean, these normal, cute peach blossoms.
Corrin: Thank you. But… a wedding ceremony? I’ve never known about the outside world, and now I’m in the middle of a war, so I’ve never seen a “proper wedding ceremony,” so… is it as extravagant as this festival?
Ophelia: Yeah. I read this in a book, but… wedding ceremonies also include meaningful decorations and customs. For example, in Nohr, if a bride pins a black pegasus feather somewhere,  then she’ll be happy; and if the venue is decorated with a silver lance, then it will ward off evil; and if ore is set in the inside of the ring, then the bride and groom’s bond will be even stronger.
Corrin: Wow… You’re like a walking dictionary, Ophelia! Not that I expected any less of you!
Ophelia: Of course! After I married you, I spent a loooong time researching weddings… ...Oh!
Corrin: What is it?
Ophelia: Um… sorry. We’re in the middle of a battle, so I shouldn’t get too lost in thought, should I? But, of course… as a maiden, I admire them so!
Corrin: No, you don’t have to apologize. Of course you would admire them. If that’s true, then it would have been better for us to have the wedding ceremony right after I had your ring made with that rock. I’m sorry to make you wait, Ophelia. To make it up to you, I’ll listen to whatever selfish thing you have to say.
Ophelia: Anything… selfish I have to say? Really?
はい。▼
Corrin: Yes.
Ophelia: Th-Then lean over a little!
Corrin: Huh? L-Like this?
Ophelia: Yeah. Stay still, just like that… Yeah, stay there...
Corrin: ...Ah!!
Corrin: Um, Ophelia, what did you just do…?
Ophelia: I love you, Corrin… That was the pact that seals our love and makes it shine, just like a couple would do at their wedding ceremony! In other words, it was a kiss that finalizes our vows!
Corrin: …...our vows…...
Ophelia: Y-You didn’t like it!?
Corrin: That’s not it! I, uh… I’m very… happy that the wife I love would do such a thing for me.
Ophelia: Y-Your face is all lit up! But the real kiss that finalizes our vows… needs to come from you, right?
Corrin: Yes… of course. I’m looking forward to that day, when you’ll wear a beautiful dress, and I’ll see you smiling next to me. To see that day come… we have to end this fight quickly.
Ophelia: Yes, we do! Now that that’s decided, let’s get back to the battle! Watch out for us, thieves! We, Corrin and Ophelia, who have received the stars’ divine protection, are coming for you!
Corrin: Let’s go, Ophelia! No enemy, no matter how evil... is a match for the power of our brilliant love!

Ok but like the dragon instinct stuff… for a dragon to give up a piece of their hoard as a gift is like… THE Ultimate Gesture of Love! That’s outright telling the person you give something to that you love them and want to be by their side and that they are more important than any hoard in the world in dragon culture
Right after I published this ask about Laslow collecting souvenirs as part of his hoard, I did have a thought about how the very act of him giving up one of those souvenirs to someone he loves (Ex. he gives that pebble from the Awakening Hot Springs DLC to Xander in the Fates Nohrian Festival DLC) is Laslow both (1) giving up something supremely precious to him because it represents (1a) part of his special hoard and (1b) almost like parting with the memory that item represents itself AND ALSO (2) is like adding the person he's gifting that item to, to his hoard. Because he's trusting them with that supremely special item now, and by doing so has created yet another sentimental memory to cherish. Giving up a precious memory or bond to create a new one. That's (in all meanings of the word) love.
