I’ve had good news!!!! I have been accepted onto PIP!! I feel as though a huge weight has been lifted, I just want to catch up on all of the hours of missed sleep due to financial stress and worry now, and eat all of the carbs. I received enough back pay to pay off quite a few bills, treat myself and put some into my savings account. This makes me very happy. So yesterday Ross and I went out for the day. Shall be uploading photos of my haul later when I’m awake a bit more. Bitten herself

So, I had a fibromyalgia attack tonight. Still in the middle of it, in fact. It started while my husband was hugging me, and I'm not sure what triggered it. Maybe the towel was too rough?

Whatever caused it, my skin all feels like I have a really bad sunburn & while I'm grateful that it's not my worst one (that involved a dissociation so bad I couldn't feel my body but still managed to have pain from my bones to my skin, with brain fog so terrible that I walked all the way from my car to my desk and was at work for 15 minutes before I realized I had left the house), I wish I could have a gradual onset. That would let me warn my husband not to touch me instead of freaking out and running from him mid-hug.

He understands, and I've apologized, but still.

What they don’t tell you when your diagnosed with a chronic pain disorder is how much you’ll upset your mother. They tell you all about treatment plans and medicines and specialists but they fail to mention what it will look like when your mom cries about your illness. That it’s going to be the hardest thing in the world watching her little girl day after day, year after year in pain constantly. They occasionally mention that there are support groups or books to read but nothing can prepare you for the crying of a mother knowing there is no cure for her baby doll.
