I got to help out TWO of my favorite beetles today! Found both dazed and in the floor in the same place inside my work, both while I was about to clock out (lunch and then end shift). It was really weird lmao. Picked them up, got them outside and dribbled some water on them (which they both seemed to be excited for), and hung out with them until they flew off. Love these guys 🥰🥰🥰
Very pretty figeater beetle I saw at school today!! I've seen them around campus quite a bit but this is the first time I've gotten to take a picture of it after it landed :>
Bonus baby western fence lizard I saw outside our house! There's a ton of these little guys who live in our front yard ^^
I'm quite thrilled to see these babies going at it in my tree (they're eating the squirrel bitten fruits). Reason why is I heavily rely on them to assist in my garden.
The grubs they leave behind are my power houses of breaking down the mulch my garden generates. Them as well as worms. I let mother nature turn the materials in my mulch bin for me rather than buying unnecessary equipment that does the same thing. Sure, the process takes a little longer, but the soil the bin produces is super rich.
I rely on the local insects to help out the garden while neutralizing pests (old fashioned shoe or swatter). Flowers to bring the pollinators for which I adore Teddy Bear bees. Lots of hummingbirds and regular bees. I even leave wasps alone since there are no nests and they aren’t a bother. All in all, I get a kick out of seeing the 6 legged locals~
My prints are now being sold at West Bottoms Plant Co. in KCMO! I am so excited to be given this chance by the staff and honored to have my work amongst talented artists. Treat yourself to a visit. The aesthetics of the building, inside and out, are enough to make your creative heart swoon. If you visit, let me know! It would mean the world if you picked up one of my prints. Whatever you come away with, you will be glad you gave it a chance
As a gift for @animate-mush, a Robert Holt paper doll base. I haven't gotten around to figuring out how to give him different outfits, but anyone is free to clothe this poor man!
