I decided to compare Link’s height to Pipit, Karane, and Fledge 'cause I though it be a nice detail to know for my fic 'An Impulse Decision' and I made some...discoveries

First, here’s Pipit who’s tall

Makes sense since he’s older than Link

Then there's Karane who doesn’t even surpass Link’s height, despite being presumingly older

Rip

And then there’s Fledge…

Now I’ve always saw Fledge being younger than Link, so naturally I visualized him being shorter, if not then the same height. Turns out I was wrong

Case in point:

Kid's much taller than I remember him being. He's at least a good inch above Link. And I learn this just 35 chapters and putting two and a half years into this fic. Whoops...

TLDR: Pipit & Fledge are (probably) tied for being the tallest. Link is in second. And Karane comes in last as a Short Queen

Oh, Now I want to know your thoughts on Fledge, and maybe the other Knight Academy Students

Oh my god I love Fledge (and pretty much every NPC but especially the students). This is gonna be kind of a mix of game headcanons and TMM headcanons, because the two blend into each other since TMM is post-game.

I really enjoy Fledge as a character in canon! Even though he only participates briefly in the main storyline (basically, just reporting on what happened to Link's Crimson Loftwing), I like that he has his own arc in sidequests about wanting to get physically stronger. I think he's just sweet and adorable tbh, and I like that he doesn't really undergo a stereotypical gymbro personality change? Like, he gets buffed out as all hell but it doesn't change that he's still kind of a sensitive and soft spoken person. I like to imagine that he has relatively mellow creative hobbies like sewing or painting, and he still does that even after becoming Stronk Fledge.

In TMM he is about to participate in his Wing Ceremony and hopefully graduate into a Skyloft Knight. He's still an undergrad and is two years Link's junior (18). He looks up to Link and may or may not have a little crush on him.

For the other students, I'm going to make a lore post. Turns out as per usual, I was getting too long-winded and detailed, so I just shoved it all into its own thing.

You know what? I’m posting My Skyward Sword Headcanons!

After the events of the game, Link & Zelda were promoted to full on Skyknights.

Groose was granted to Knighthood, to his & everyone else’s surprised, by Link & Zelda’s insistence. He declined at first because he felt he didn’t deserve it due to his past bullying of Link. But Link convinced him that he does since he was a big help quelling The Imprisoned, and could see that Groose was willing to become a better person.

Thus all three became the youngest to be promoted to Skyknights in Skyloft’s history.

Groose made amends with everyone he wronged, especially towards Fledge since he was his second most person he bullied behind Link.

Before SkSw, Groose took his friendship with Cawlin & Strich for granted, though he didn’t realize this. During his time with Old Impa, he had a lot of time to reflect that he may have treated them horribly and vowed to be a better friend.

Strich was happy that Groose was finally showing better appreciation, but they both had to help Cawlin have a major attitude adjustment 

Fledge took part in the next Wing Ceremony. Link, Zelda, and Groose all helped him trained to compete and he won, finally becoming a Skyknight.

The three, and Pipit & Karane also helped Fledge get together with Orielle

Link & Zelda, and Pipit & Karane went on double dates

Link, Pipit, and Fledge have a brotherly bond. Zelda & Karane had a sisterly bond

When the time was right, Zelda told Skyloft the true story of Hylia, and that she is Hylia reincarnated. To say the least, they were all shocked. Admittedly, it took some getting used to the fact. In the end, they all know Zelda is still Zelda

The Skyloftians may’ve become a tad bit protective of Link & Zelda after they learned what they been through on their quest
