The first account he searches for and follows is not his brothers, heck, not even his celebrity crush, the account he searches for first is yours.

His curious self scans the black profile pictures for all three of your untilted highlights. He taps on the first one, he sees a picture of you smiling with your eyes closed.

He admires everything about it. Tapping for the next picture to appear.

A video of you and your black cat, Honey, a name you chose for your cat that Gabriel laughed at non-stop, calling it the stupidest name ever.

He looks at all the photos of you and screenshots every single one of them. Unknowingly, a smile makes its way on his face.

The next highlight he ignores when he sees is all aesthetic photos of the sunset.

The one right after, he stops.

It's a picture of only you and him. And there were more photos of you and him compared to the rest of the other two highlights.

A photo of you two when you were babies, napping together.

A video of you and Gabriel. He always loved to tease you when you did little vlogs the moment you got your phone. He continues with the video, your phone is slightly slanted, you digging up a hole and showing the camera the seeds you stole from your mum's gardening shed. Not noticing Gabriel who comes up from behind you, holding a worm. He tiptoes slowly and places it on your shoulder.

"Omg! Look! Look!" he yells, feigning his worry.

He laughs to himself when the video cuts perfectly when you scream.

The next is a photo of you and him in a photo booth, you had your hand covering your beautiful smile as he used a strand of your hair and put it between his puckered lips and nose as a pretend moustache.

His heart flutters. That was the moment he knew his heart was for you.

That night, he rambles on and on to his older brother, Miguel.

"I think I like her, Miggs."

"Then tell her you idiot."

Childhood best friend! Gabriel at the age of 17 punches the living shit out of the boy who stood in front of him.

How fucking dare he?

He dared to open his mouth about you.

Gabriel had missed his best friend. You were at home sick in bed, so he sent a quick message saying he missed you, and to get well soon before making his way to class.

All the noise around him was nothing to hin, until he walks by and overheard a group of boys saying your name. Foul, disgusting things were said.

Gabriel pulls the main friend of the group by the shoulder and punches him right in the nose.

Everything turns into a chaotic clutter in a matter of seconds, bloodied noses, bruised cheeks and bruised knuckles.

Gabriel pushes, pulls, kicks and punches. Anything to defend his friend who wasn't there.

Anything to keep his friend's name out of another guy's disgusting mouth.

He feels a strong pull on his collar, disconnected from the guy he lunged at.

"What the fuck is going on?!"

It was Miguel's voice.

Of fucking course, Gabriel thinks.

"It was him! He fucking started it," the guy opposite Gabriel, his name being John, yells with anger, spitting at him while doing so.

Gabriel growls and tries to lunge at him but is stopped when Miguel pushes him back with one hand, the other holding the other guy back as well.

"Say sorry, you fucking idiot! Keep my girl's name out your mouth, cabrón!" Gabriel shouts. His words don't even phase him the slightest. It does, however, bother the older O'Hara sibling. If Gabriel even noticed the hesitation in Miguel's eyes.

"Tone it down, Gabri," Miguel glares.

Those around the main three stood in silence. The flashes of their phone turn off, all looking at Gabriel.

John dares to chuckle and smirk, his brow raises, "Your girl? That's funny, Gabriel."

"What the fuck are you lauging at?" Gabriel hisses.

The guy scoffs before hiding his sly smile, "It's just funny 'cause last time I saw your so-called girl, she was kissin' up to Miguel."

Gabriel's heart stops.

"Right, Miguel?" John adds to the fire that burned Gabriel's heart.

Miguel averts his gaze when Gabriel looks at him. His heart shatters when his brother looks to the ground.

"I fucking hate you," he pushes his brother away and runs out of the school building.

wow it is star trek update time. last night we watched ds9's "blood oath" and tng's "journey's end," which is one of the strongest quality ricochets we've had yet.

okay, so the summary said "three klingon legends" but what i didn't realize is that they were all REAL KLINGONS FROM THE ORIGINAL SERIES

i have to pain this picture for you, whoever is reading this. the three klingons in this episode appeared in "errand or mercy" "the trouble with tribbles" and "day of the dove." like, they really came back to reprise their roles almost 30 years later. i'm going to paste a picture but uhtw 60s blackface

now, if you're a tos viewer, you may recognize that fella in the middle as also having played the titular squire of gothos in. "squire of gothos." now, as an episode, i find "squire of gothos" to be pretty mid, but there is one specific scene that really did something for me. to me? it did something TO me. what it did to me was send me off the fucking deep end, i wish i could convey the depths of my madness with human words

anyway, before my good and wonderful friend so kindly made this gifset for me, i did maybe sit in front of my pc and replay the clip upwards of [mumble] times a day because i was very, very unwell. when i watched this scene for the very first time what happened to me in that single instant was the bone-deep realization that james t kirk (tos and aos) ate fascists on tarsus iv, probably, and he'd fucking do it again because nobody tastes better than a fascist! i wrote an entire fanfic about it, sorry for the spoilers.

what does squire of gothos and tarsus iv have to do with ds9? well first of all every star trek episode is secretly about tarsus iv so jot that down

but secondly, i've watched this clip so many times i have to hide my face when this man shows up in trouble with tribbles. now, i'm not so good with faces, but i KNOW THAT VOICE. but i know him AS the squire of gothos. i frequently forget entirely that he also plays a klingon, so i didn't recognize his name. so when i heard the squire of gothos's voice come out of a random klingon's mouth in ds9 my immediate kneejerk reaction was "no i am hearing things that can't be--" BUT IT WAS. i PAUSED the episode so i could look iy up, realized that the guy in the drunk tank was kor or "do you have a tongue you will be taught to use it" fame, and then to my eternal glee, kang shows up next

i remembered reading once that kang came back later and i was like ??? no one comes back later on tos BUT HE DID! I JUST HAD TO WAIT FOR IT!!!!! mystery finally solved...........

once i recognized them this episode was a blast. absolutely loving these 100 year old klingons getting ready for a rip roaring rampage of supercentenarian revenge. i was VERY sad that they died at the end but at least presumably they all died together (didnt see the last one go down but im just assuming he lived long enough to eat the albino's heart and then die)

(the albino is a really funny concept by the way like he's not even albino he's just a white klingon)

other notable things about this episode: firstly, quark hiding behind odo at the beginning. classic. secondly, dax actually being a good fighter ?!?!?! and finally, a true passing of the bechdel test where dax asked kira some alarming and upsetting questions about killing people and kira immediately took her aside and MADE her talk. i love. Women. and also women who murder people. i support womens wrongs.

i even love that the ONE time sisko doesn't back up one of his people it's for a good reason (doesn't want the 27yo reincarnation of his father figure to die on a klingon suicide mission)

10000/10, absolutely stellar ep, zero complaints

you know, we tried to give this episode the benefit of the doubt actually. we were like "maybe this was progressive in 1994. i mean they ARE saying that moving these guys forcibly would be bad" and i mean like what would we know about what was progressive in 94? we were 5. so we checked and um i don't think anybody liked it in 1994 either

devastating that THIS has to be a wesley episode bc i wanted a better sendoff for my boy. "i had a vision and now i'm leaving starfleet" and yes they said the word vision in the most derogatory way possible. jesus christ

TRAVELER ALIEN RACEFAKING? HE PRETENDED TO BE NATIVE AMERICAN TO GIVE WESLEY THE VISION? and then he was like haha don't you know all that stuff is fake. (picard earlier in this episode "i am sooo respectful of your beliefs")

furthermore when picard was like "oh yeah this guy blames me for the crimes of my colonizer ancestor" girl at no point did he say that. idk if white people should go around accusing other white people of white guilt so i don't say this lightly but jesus christ captain picard can you tone it the fuck down buddy

i came across a gifset today of picard from season 5 (idr the episode) going "starfleet doesn't want officers who blindly follow orders sayign you're just following orders has been used to justify too many tragedies in our history" and then smash cut to this episode where he's like "well i tried but yeah i'm gonna have to move you sowwy :/" like good lord.

anyway it's a bummer these last few eps of tng have been less than great bc ik tng is capable of good episodes and i was hoping this series would go out on a high note. but it's going to end the same way it began with us waiting for something good to happen and throwing popcorn at picard

"Uh, I don't know. It's been a while." Eddie shrugs. "We went to high school together and then he moved because of family stuff. We kept in touch for a bit but it wasn't the same, y'know?" Buck nods but honestly no, he doesn't know. He never really had any real friends and he never looked back when he left Hershey. He doesn't even remember half of the people he went to high school with. "But we reconnected when I moved here a year ago."

"Oh." Buck frowns deepens. That sounds exactly like one of those rom-coms that Maddie made him watch. Buck's really gonna throw up now.

"What about you?" Eddie asks, staring at Buck's profile with eagerness and curiosity but the blonde is too busy frowning at the floor and fidgeting with the rag in his hands to notice. "Are you liking L.A so far?"

"It''s nice, I guess."

Eddie licks his lips nervously and turns completely, facing Buck and leaning against the now cleaned side of the truck.

"You know, there's this place not too far from here and they have the best burgers in the world." Eddie grins and tilts his head but Buck's still not looking at him and Eddie is starting to think he did something wrong. "W-would you like to go? With me, I mean."

"Wouldn't Chimney mind? I mean, wouldn't it be weird or whatever?"

Eddie blinks at him slowly, confused and lost.

"Why would Chimney mind? Why would it be weird?"

"I, uh, well… you know." Buck mutters. Is Eddie really going to make him say it? Is the man that oblivious that he can't see Buck is clearly uncomfortable and hurt and feeling like the stupidest guy on Earth?

"No…" Eddie says slowly. "I don't know."

Steve Rogers x wife!reader after Steve fakes his death

(No warnings. Just a chat between Steve and Sam Wilson. Who will end up as Captain America?) WC 341

Steve sees the icy bank of the Hudson outside the vast East-facing windows, and the view triggers something inside him.

“I almost came back,” he starts quietly. “There was one time after the first real frost that I just…ran.” The serum held fast then; Steve hadn’t been pushed to the brink yet. “The nearest town—a village really—was across this frozen lake, and I made it right to the edge. Watched their lights for a while. Wondered if I’d make it back here before whoever—I mean, before the…”

He’s never, ever going to call them ‘Keepers.’ Steve would rather die for real.

“…before the group found me. I wondered if the villagers saw me, would she be grabbed before I got back, too? I sat out there all night,” Steve sighs, “and then I just…turned around.

“I don’t think I can do this anymore, Sam. It’s not the same,” he confesses flatly.

Sam nods, taking in that information, processing. Steve’s had a week (plus a few months) to process and is still nowhere near a conclusion, so he expects it to take his friend a lot longer.

“Your lady was like that, too.” Sam turns while moving forward and indicates the whole gym. “She circled. She kept circling, tryna figure out which door to go out, which thing to do next, tryna figure out if she wanted to get off the track in the first place. And we forced her off by accident. Thought it was for the best.

“You can walk in circles anywhere. Finding familiarity is natural. That’s instinctive. Also, totally normal to be scared as hell of the unfamiliar.” 

Pride swells in Steve. This is why Wilson was so good at the VA.

“It’s not like you’re waking up one day wanting a career change, Steve. Most people learn and train for a job. You were created for this job; that’s a tough gig. No wonder it’s a bitch to get out of it--get out of that mindset.”

Language, Steve’s brain shouts automatically.

I made an ib fanfic called "safe"

now im forcing you to read it :gun: Author`s note: this fanfic is bad. Very bad. But a part of it is based on a real event that happened with me and my little brother.

Summary: uhhh something happens, Ib and Garry do stuff.

It's a pretty cold night, but Garry and Ib are safe and sound inside of Ib's home. Ib's mother and father are out on a date, celebrating their wedding anniversary, and they let Garry babysit Ib. Though he turned down any and all payment from her parents, he was glad to spend time with Ib. Ib gave her parents a swift hug and a wave goodbye as they exited their home. She was excited, VERY excited to finally have garry with her in her home. And though she's been left alone with many babysitters, her parents never really left her with them at night. It would always be around lunch, if her parents needed to run errands, or had awkwardly-timed appointments, but it seemed they trusted Garry more than whoever else they employed. “Looks like it's just us, Ib.” Garry said, with a wide smile. Ib replied with a nod, immediately grabbing his hand. Garry was startled, but he went along with it, knowing she meant no harm. “Woah! Slow down, I'm an old man, yknow-” His comment made Ib laugh a little, and he couldn't help it but let out a soft giggle. Ib really was going fast, almost pulling him behind. She stopped in front of a white door, which was absolutely COVERED with stickers. Some of bunnies, some of butterflies, all arranged as if they were always meant to be in one image together. A little sign rested on the door. It was written in obnoxiously fancy cursive, most likely written by Ib's mom. On it was written.. “Ib's room… this one's yours, right?” Garry read out, and Ib replied with a little nod. She opened the door, and Garry had to crouch a little to even attempt to get in, as the doors inside the house were pretty short. Ib picked up a plush bunny, shoving it into Garry's arms. “Her name is Bunni.” Ib said, pointing at the plush.

“Well hi there, Bunny!” Garry said, patting the plush on it's tiny head. “No… it's Bunni. With an i. See?” Ib replied, showing him a little nametag that was on the bunny. The tag's handwriting was also cursive, though much messier and less fancy, with smaller hoops.

“My apologies, lady Bunni.” Garry said, handing the plush to Ib and bowing down to it. It made Ib giggle, and i'd be a liar if I said that he didn't laugh as well.

“Bunni forgives you.” Ib said, raising her head up high like a snob and pretending to pout. She couldn't keep that expression for long though, as she burst out laughing right after.

“Well I'm glad she does… Hey, did you write that yourself?”

He picked up the nametag that was hanging from the bunny. Ib replied with a proud nod. “Great job!”

Those two simple words made Ib feel like the smartest person in the world. “Thanks. Momma helped me with the letters.” Ib simply said, holding the plush close. She sat down onto her bed, tapping the other side of it twice, to imply that she wanted Garry to sit there. He listened, sitting down.

“You've got a pretty nice room, huh.”

He commented, as he sat down. The compliment made Ib smile. Her stomach rumbled, and she tugged on Garry’s coat to get his attention. “Garry… I’m hungry.” She told him, quietly. She was excited for him to cook again, as he had made some of the best meals she’d ever have. “Right…I should make something for you. Cmon, you have to help me make pancakes- I dunno where your parents keep the sugar!” He giggled. Next thing Ib knew, she was munchkin’ on some DELICIOUS pancakes in the kitchen! “There… Oh, don’t worry. I ate before I came here.” Garry replied to Ib’s worried looks, as she was the only one eating. She shrugged it off and ate some more. Next stop- Back to Ib’s bedroom for a bedtime story. “Well Ib.. which one would you like?” He said, looking at the large pile of books next to Ib’s bed. All of them were stories, though they were stacked on top of each other like a storybook jenga of sorts. Ib pointed to the book on the very top. She stood up on her bed, getting up on her tippy toes to reach it. “Uhh… the rabbit princess?” Garry asked, reading the title. Ib nodded, shoving it in his arms. “Right. Well you should get dressed in your jammies while I make a quick trip to the loo.” When he came back, she was already dressed, and ready to be tucked in. “Look at youuu! So fancy!” Her pajamas were made of silk, and were completely white. Though she sometimes was, as most kids tend to be, pretty messy, her pjamas were completely clean. 

“Aaaalright, let’s start with the story!” He tucked her in, and sat onto a corner of her bed, ready to begin reading. After about half an hour she seemed to be asleep, and he (by her parents' command) was free to watch tv in the living room.

“Night, Ib.” He softly said, turning off the lights. He was just about to go downstairs, when he heard a familiar voice stop him. “Garry.. When is mom gonna come home?” Ib hadn’t been separated from her mom this late.. Nor this long.. It worried her. 

“I’m sure she’ll be here soon.” Garry reassured her, giving her a pat on the head. She clung to him, giving him a hug. “I don’t wanna go to bed, not until mom comes back.” Crystal tears started to form in her eyes, and Garry knew she wouldn’t be going to bed that easily. He didn’t really give much thought to his next actions, taking off his coat and wrapping her in it, like a burrito. It caught her a bit off guard. “If you’re gonna cry, you’re gonna be a burrito. Deal?” Garry said, picking the little girl up. It made Ib smile through her tears. She nodded, before he placed her down onto the sofa. He quickly went up to her room and grabbed her plushie, giving it to her. “Deal.” She said, snuggling up to him. He was sitting right next to her. “Waddya wanna watch, my sad lil burrito?” He asked her, making her giggle. She had stopped crying by now, but she still was sad. “Ponyo!” Ib said, with a little enthusiasm. Both of them have watched that movie like a thousand times each, but it was still a masterpiece of a film. Besides, it always made Ib feel happy when she was sad. “Ponyo it is..” He looked through a box full of VHSes, and right there it was, Ponyo. All throughout the movie, Ib seemed to never stop gripping his arm. She was fast asleep, finally, and Garry managed to carry her over back to her bed. Her plush was resting in her arms, and he had to balance it, so it wouldn’t slip out her arms while he was carrying her. “Good night, Ib.”

He said, turning off the lights and going downstairs. Right about then Ib’s mom had come home, attempting to be silent. Ib’s dad was out, parking the car. “Hello miss!” Garry had greeted Ib’s mom, as she placed her coat onto the coat rack. “Hi, Garry. I assume she’s asleep?” Garry had nodded, grabbing his things. “I must go, now. I’ll be seeing you soon!” He insisted, grabbing his things, and leaving. Though, he had forgotten one thing. His coat. About a day later he got a call from Ib’s mother, regarding his coat. Ib wanted to give it to him personally, and she had ridden her bicycle all the way to his house just to get it to him. There she was, standing at his front door. She rang the doorbell, hoping that he wasn’t at work. “Hey Ib-” Before he could say anything, she shoved the coat in his arms and left. She was… late for lunch. “STAY SAFE!” Garry shouted, but she was already gone. He made sure she went off safely by waiting for her to make it far enough so that he couldn’t see. “..” He went back into his house, finally having his coat back. -End

First, Dean was absolutely thrilled to know that reporters are still asking about him (he’s currently taking a break from social media which is why he didnt see your ask to him immediately). You sit on a chair, a beverage in front of you. It is a warm day, although not warm enough to be unpleasant. Lifting the cup to your lips, you take a sip. You are unable to discern what you are drinking. You put your cup down again.

Someone approaches you. They sit down in front of you. You greet them and they greet back.

Silence.

What are you waiting for? Start a conversation.

"So... nice weather we have?"

The person across you doesn't respond. The look in their eyes tells you something is wrong. They seem to doubt you, ask you if that is really what you wanted to say. They ask if you truly do not have other questions to pose.

You unnecessarily clear your throat.

Another silence.

This person isn't here to make small talk. Think of a meaningful question.

...

Or don't.

Truly, if you have nothing important to say, why are you here?

"When do I ever have something important to say? My life bears little meaning in the greater scheme of things."

The person still sitting across from you answers.

"Perhaps that is so."

"Then... why should I say anything?"

"You can sit in silence. But isn't that boring?"

"That's precisely why I always say nonsense. It's better than bearing this agonizing silence."

They do not respond.

Speak from your heart.

"Sometimes I wonder... If none of what I say is of importance, what even is the substance of me? In other's eyes I am defined by what I do and say. So am I not essentially unimportant?"

"Do you consider yourself unimportant?"

"I guess I do. I don't particularly care about myself. I barely feel as though I even have a presence. I perceive and interact with the world I am in, but I do not take the time to truly spend time with myself."

"What does it leave you with?"

"A certain sense of... emptiness."

"What do you do about it? Do you just let it fester inside you like a some species of mold? Like some parasite?"

"I usually fill it with things that aren't real. Hell, I'm doing that right now. You aren't real, this place isn't even a place and this beverage isn't anything."

You point at your unidentifiable surroundings to stress your point.

"But when does it end? When do you lose your touch with reality? When does your true self begin? Do you even have one? Or has your entire existence been based on things that aren't there? On things so terribly out of reach that it's fucking pathetic you're still trying?"

"I know I'm weird. And I know this weirdness makes me unloveable. I don't know what to do about it. Everything I do only makes my life worse. Every day I wake up alive, I see no possible improvement. No one will come around to help me. That isn't how it works. I need to be proactive, but do I even deserve any help? I haven't done anything of importance and all I will ever reach is mediocrity. hi!! advice for tumblr etiquette: there practically is none. with a few exceptions do what you want. like on insta if you like someone's post from a year ago you're a stalker but there are posts on tumblr that are still endlessly circling from 2011. tags are only ever used accurately on the original post. even then it doesn't happen much. tags are for writing random shit you want to say without getting reblogged into oblivion. follow whoever. block whoever. you don't have to prove that someone is problematic or "cancelled" to block them. if you're sick of seeing ninja turtles on your dash you can just block. also this isn't tiktok where everything is sterilised into hell. you can say kill. you can say fuck. also it's still an issue in some places but generally queer culture is a hell of a lot less sterilised here than elsewhere. people tend to be more mature about discourse compared to other apps and sites but that's not saying much. there is the odd terf but this is the transgender webbed site so we bully them. also block them don't bother arguing they're stubborn and will just drain you. goncharov is a real film. do not go on the "radqueer" tag it's not what you're hoping it is trust me. every single person I have ever heard IN MY LIFE say that queer is a slur has been a terf. if someone says queer is a slur, they are a terf.
