I had an epiphany last night in that, in Security Breach, we might have already seen Eclipse before Ruin...

It's not exactly 100% the same, but it's SO CLOSE. Then again, maybe I am overthinking it because these two (three now I guess) are running around in my head and have been for like, nearly two years...

I'm in need of an au winterhawk fic where Clint's a war vet and a pro archer and ends up developing a chronic pain disorder like fibro that makes him incapable of holding a bow steady or even drawing the bowstring properly... And it's frustrating and upsetting and Clint is going through the stages of grief regarding his own capabilities... But then he meets Bucky in PT and it's not a great first meeting and they don't get along initially but then they start helping each other and supporting each other and after a lot of physical and emotional pain and tears and effort Bucky makes progress with his prosthetic and Clint is able to shoot again. He's not cured -- he still has debilitating flare ups from time to time -- but he's learning to live with it and to not give up and that he can still find joy in life.

And yes it'd be the most self indulgent fic ever but I need it...

It's wild how just the cut of a shirt can have such a huge impact on how you feel about yourself.

I was trying on shirts this evening and was feeling frustrated and increasingly uncomfortable. They were all button down flannels from the women's section in different fabric weights. Some were definite nos and others were cute. Some pulled very badly through my shoulders and across my chest and others were cozy and soft. I ended up with a couple I thought were cute and comfortable by the time I got to the last shirt.

This shirt was the same as all the others -- button down, plaid, flannel, similar color palette -- except I had grabbed it from the men's section. I wasn't expecting it to fit since there was only a small left in the color I liked. But I threw it on, buttoned it up, all without looking in the mirror because I was feeling quite dysphoric by that point.

When I did look up I completely froze. I just stood there and stared. It fit across my chest and shoulders nicely. It tapered at the waist just enough to not seem boxy. It pulled just a bit at my hips but nothing undoing the last button couldn't fix. Somehow wearing it made the pants I was also trying on look better, too. I got teary eyed and had to actually bend over with my hands on my knees and take a few deep breaths. Then I stood back up and kept staring.

Idk if it was gender euphoria or something else but... Damn. I ended up getting it -- there was no way I wasn't going to after that.

Strangest thing about me, i think, isnt even that im a fox, its gotta be the fact that sometimes im also a deer or even just part deer. Specifically im an elk, but moreso in the sense that im a fox in elk clothing? Like im not Really an elk biologically or anything, but i do occassionally turn into one or shift random parts and take specific physical traits. Like hooves are actually pretty fun to tippy tap around with, even if im the only one that can hear the clacking. Antlers however, are itchy growing in/peeling and they can be kinda heavy on my poor sad weak neck muscles (antlers are actually a bit of constant with me, though they arent very consistent in how big they wanna be 🙄)
