Hikari giggles, waving. “Yes, of course, Chibimon. I made a couple dozen chocolate chip cookies considering how much you love chocolate."

"Whoo! Chocolate!" Chibimon jumps up and this time lands on Guilmon's snout, who just stares at him cross-eyed. 

Taichi laughs at them and asks, "How are you doing, Hikari? Been doing anything aside from baking a ton of cookies?"

Couch

Picking up a blanket and pillow, Yamato made his way to the couch. He sighed deeply. He was resigned to the sleeping on the couch again. This time it was his choice. He had been used to sleeping here. At least once a month, he would end up sleeping on the couch. Willis would make him sleep there as a punishment for doing or saying something. 

It could have been anything from cuddling him a little too hard, trying to be funny, or just being himself. At some point or another he would end up sleeping there. He remembered making a reference to " Different Strokes" by saying " What chu talkin bout Wilis??" to him. Only to get an unamused look and instructions to sleep on the couch. He chuckled at the memory. 

He placed his pillow on the arm, and lay down. He stared up at the ceiling as he remembered everything that had made him end up here. Not letting Wilis get up when he needed the bathroom? Couch. Changing his ringtone to " I want your bite?" Couch. Sending him a sexy snap of himself whilst Willis was in class? Couch. It was fair to say, That Yamato loved to embarrass his partner at any chance he got. It was way to fun. When Willis blushed, it was so cute. Sleeping on the couch was worth it to see his love turn strawberry red. 

As he lay there now, he felt his heart weigh him down. Good memories. That was all he had left.. that and his team of pokemon. He sighed. Thats why he liked to sleep on the couch. It made him feel less alone. He pretended that he had played a joke on Willis and this was his punishment. 

If only. 

He closed his eyes and started to drift off to sleep. However, he felt something jump on him. He opened one eye to see Willow the Glaceon leap on him. He then felt a pawing. Coco the bunnery had now joined the party. He chuckled and picked up coco before he gave the two pokemon a cuddle, They always made him feel better. Willow would sleep with blaze - his flareon. 

" Thanks guys.." he smiled before he drifted off to sleep.

"What a cute Totodile!" Hikari squealed. "He must be newly hatched. Bulbasaur’s still like that, even though he hatched years ago. I bet he needs a friend to play with!"

Taiki glanced up at the young woman that seemed to come out of nowhere. She was positively beaming as she stared at the insane, dancing-beast. She looked familiar, though he was sure he never interacted with her before.

It took him a second, but he placed a face to a name. This was Taichi's sister.

"Yeah, he just hatched," Taiki says with a nod as he looks back at it. "He's also insane. I'm Kudou Taiki, by the way."

At some point during their relationship yama said to wilis " What you talking about wilis?!

To which yama would end up on the couch.

Writing today. Hoping to finish Heart and Bone today, my short story from the Fragments of Darkness Anthology. 🌸 This morning I tried something new and started my day with some morning yoga. It really helped energize and focus me, not to mention melt away some stress which helps clear me for creative work. It's something I hope to continue and grow upon. 🌸 What are some new things you've tried lately? A new book genre maybe? Or maybe stepping outside your comfort zone and daily routine? They all spoke at the exact same time, and they just stare at one another.

If there was Light, there must always be Darkness. No matter how bright the Light, a deep shroud of Darkness will blanket it, secure and holding it down.

He wasn't moving, it wasn't time...

                                  not yet...

            His eyes wanted to stay closed.

And yet, his blue orbs opened painfully to the world.

               To the Light.

Seated upon a wall, the young Warrior stared out among the people passing him by, all of them focused on their days to take notice of him.

                 It was as if Kouji was unseen.

and it was alright with him.

                                        A sigh escaped his lips as he stared across the sea of people and cars. Being out never really appealed to him.

                    He was just sitting...not waiting, not wanting anything.

[Drabble] Gift

"Here," Taiki sets something down in front of Hikari. He then lets his insane Totodile run off to play with the other pokemon that are running around.

"What’s this?" she asks curiously, blinking her eyes innocently at the bag he placed in front of her.

"I don’t like owing people stuff," Taiki says as he sits opposite of her at the picnic table. "And before you say ‘I didn’t help you with your weird-ass Totodile so you’d owe me’ or something along those lines, I don’t really care. Just take it." 

Hikari giggled a little bit. “You know, I think you’re genuinely a nice person behind this ‘I-could-care-less-about-anyone’ appearance you have going on.”

"You’d be wrong about that," he replies with a shake of his head.

She obviously doesn’t believe him as she looks into the bag and pulls out a cook book for different types of cakes, cookies and other things. She smiles at him brightly and asks, “How did you know I like to bake?”

"I know your brother," he says with a shrug. "That one has a lot of different things in it apparently. How to make those fancy, interesting cakes. I dunno, it had pink on the cover and seemed like the way to go."

"Aww, that’s sweet."

"I am not sweet,” he scowls at her. “I don’t like owing people things.”

"Of course not," she giggles. "Thank you though."

Sora growled a little and gritted her teeth. ” Hikari is cool. She’s nice right? Sweet. I like her. I don’t want anyone to hurt her. She is only of the few fucking people here that I actually LIKE”

Mourn Me (?)

Kouichi couldn’t remember how long ago it had been since the child of darkness had reached the pinnacle of existence, and finally achieved eternal darkness. He was outwardly pleased - not because she was gone, but because he knew she was at rest. But behind the cold mask, he was sad to see one which he might have called a “friend” finally pass away.

It came for every person, he knew, but she had been one to understand him at times he didn’t even understand himself. She had been a caring figure of light despite her natural association with him and his darkness. He had been proud to be her warrior.

He couldn’t remember how long he had been kneeling at her alter. He wasn’t one for sentimentality, really. But while he could still remember her, he wanted to properly mourn her death, or rather, celebrate it like she might like him to.

The sweets he had baked were burnt around the edges. They weren’t spectacular by any means, but he was sure that she would have appreciated the thought. At least, that was what he hoped as he placed the packaged items before her picture, letting the scent of incense sooth him as her presence might have.

He was gone as quick as shadows disappear when the lights turn on, as if he was never there. The only evidence of such sitting sweetly at her memorial.
