Strong warning was issued yesterday to county jail officials to take no chances with Frank Mactemple (otherwise known as Frank Temple), captured at West Lorne early yesterday morning on a charge of murdering Constable Colin C. McGregor of the city police department after an intensive manhunt. Chief of Police William Ketchabaw had Mactemple in his care many years ago and he advised Crown Attorney Wilfred Haines to see that a strong jail guard was maintained.

"My first experience with Temple was 29 or 30 years ago when I went to Port Burwell and got him on a local theft charge," said Chief Ketchabaw. "He was convicted and sent to jail and he made his escape from jail. There is no doubt that he will watch for another opportunity to make another escape.

"Do you remember me, Frank?" asked the chief when Temple faced him. "Yes. I remember when you brought me from Port Burwell a good many years ago. Temple replied.

"You didn't get away from me, did you?" asked the chief. "No, but I got out of jail afterward," Temple rejoined.

The accused gave his name as Mactemple when arraigned, though Chief Ketchabaw and other local people who have known the family for years claim the name is Temple.

Characters: Matt Foggy Karen Frank Elektra Claire Dex Ray

CW: implied smut, nothing too serious tho

MATT- he'll probably sense you sleeping naked before he even enters the house. Smiling to himself Matt will enter the flat, stripping of his clothes and quietly entering the room not to wake you up. As much as he likes the idea of doing other things with you he knows you're tired, and he is too, so he just lays down next to you, hugging you from behind and kissing your forehead.

FOGGY- he'll be (pleasantly) surprised, walking up to you and kissing you awake. Will tell you how hot you look, asking sarcastically if you were waiting for him. If you're up to it you two can have fun, but if you're tired or not in the mood he'll let it go immediately and cuddle next to you.

KAREN- she'll smile to herself, eyeing you. She'll take off her heels and go up to you gently stroking your shoulder to tell you she's home. Karen will quickly kiss you, strip of her clothes and will join you in bed, asking how was your day. As you kiss her temple and hold her in your arms she'll drift off to sleep, as you are too.

FRANK- he'll smirk, coming up to you, and cupping your upper body with his big arms. "Hey (nickname)" he'll say kissing your jaw and neck. Frank will laugh at your grumpy response, kissing you deeply and admiring your sleepy face. He'll leave you to it to finish some work and later will join you in bed.

ELEKTRA- she'll smirk and strip of her clothes, getting on the bed and turning your head to her. She'll start kissing you and feeling your face and body with her hands until you completely wake up, and than sitting on your lap she'll jokingly say "good morning" continuing to kiss you.

CLAIRE- she'll laugh quietly, setting her things down. She's super tired so she just lays down next to cuddling you closer.

DEX- he's super tired and stressed from his job, so seeing you will make his day a little brighter. Stripping off his clothes he will go up to your bed, get in and hug your waist. Brushing your hair and tracing his knackels on your cheek bone he'll stare at your face in awe, obsessing over your beauty. You may or may not wake up to him eagerly kissing your neck and feeling your soft lips with his thumb.

RAY- Ray is also very stressed, working in his line of jon isn't easy. Smiling to himself at your sight he'll go finish some of his paperwork and only than join you to bed, feeling your warm body and your soft breathing on his skin, instantly relaxing and feeling at peace.

Supermodule week! The format — a perfect bound softcover, often with a folder in the back containing a large foldout map or a booklet of maps — was introduced with Lankhmar, but was frequently used by TSR from the mid-‘80s to the early ‘90s, particularly in reprinting older adventure material. As much as I love the Lankhmar book, I begrudgingly acknowledge that The Temple of Elemental Evil (1985) is probably the real star publication using the format.

Temple was supposed to be a couple of more traditional modules by Gary Gygax, starting with T1: The Village of Hommlet (1979), but he never got around to finishing the writing. Aside of Hommlet and some notes, the rest of this book is Frank Mentzer’s work. It’s OK! I like Hommlet a lot — a starter module with a seemingly friendly town (like the village in Jennell Jaquays’ Dark Tower, this is a facade) where 1st level characters can square off with a memorable villain (Lareth the Beautiful) in a ruined moathouse. They then move along to the seedy town of Nulb, where more agents of the Temple are gathering, before proceeding into the Temple itself. I like Nulb too. I’m a little mixed on the Temple.

It’s a megadungeon (though one on the smallish side), and I generally like those, but Temple doesn’t make sense to me, really. I mean, dungeons never do, but Temple particularly so, as it is both a staging ground for the forces of evil and a prison built by the forces of good. I also think “Elemental Evil” is a silly concept, but I do like the big twist at the end, the fact that the big bad is the demon queen of fungus, of all things. I also like that Zuggtmoy looks like a weird ET knock-off. I think the problem for me is that the towns are dynamic and full of potential, but the encounters in the temple feel very samey. It’s fine, its just no Barrier Peaks, you know? Nice Parkinson cover, though.

THOMAS, May 30. - (CP)- Frank MacTemple and his son, Fred were arraigned in police court here this morning for preliminary bearing on charges of murdering Police Constable Colin McGregor on May 7. Both seemed unconcerned. Crown Attorney Haines is prosecuting, W. M. Blain represents Frank MacTemple and F. R. Barnum, Aylmer, Ont., appears for Fred MacTemple. Evidence was largely a repetition of testimony given at the coroner's inquest.
