when people say that they taste fear, i completely understand what they’re saying
i was out with my dog today and i stood on this thing that was kind of if an oval was 3d and then in half the same way a semi circle exists. i stood on it and when my shoes slipped down the curves i could taste it.
i literally tasted fear and it tastes like electricity.

A Comprehensive Rating of all The New Nike Kits that Literally No One Asked Me For:
starting off strong with England:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
listen when i first saw this i was like hmm okay 😐, then i saw it on the players and i was like hmmm okayyyyy 💅💅
home is clean, classic - i like it. collar is a choice but i think it works, sleeves are nice, retro kits slay always - 8/10
controversial but purple as a colour in general sucks. however, i would barely call this away kit purple, the charcoal vibe is actually fucking sexy. it’s almost a grey kit, and a grey kit is almost a black kit, and i love black kits. love the pattern down the side, love the gold, my only reservation is that it looks like a training kit (specifically that ugly purple kit the lionesses had a few years ago) - 7.5/10
special shout-out to that eyesore of a goalie kit, i absolutely fucking love it
——
now Portugal is a serving us a game of two halves:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the home is… a kit. it’s nice, it’s clean, but it literally could not be less forgettable. it’s fine - 5/10
the away on the other hand - masterpiece. that pattern is actually gorgeous, colours are so cute, and it’s actually unique! love when kits have nods to culture/history- 10/10, stunning
——
United States - yea girl give us nothing!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
listen the home is fine. but one word springs to mind and that word is boring. where’s the flavour? the flag collar saves it - 6/10
the away is absolutely vile i fucking hate that- 1/10
—-
France said how big can we possibly make our badge:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
again home is fine. it’s nothing special, it’s clean, it’s whatever, it’s a home kit. i’m bored. however both kits suffer from the ailment of that absolute fucking monster chicken. why is it so huge - 5/10
the away is nicer. pinstripe is nothing to write home about, but at least there’s a little something something going on. again, the chicken is hard to get past - 6.5/10
—-
Canada gave us the classics
Tumblr media Tumblr media
these are both nice kits. the home is proof that nike do know how to make plain kits that don’t look like they just stuck a badge on a primark t-shirt. simple done well - 8/10
again, the away is simple but effective. does look a bit like an exercise book, but that’s fine. sleek, classy, it’s a decent kit - 7/10
—-
Brazil proves once again that they know the meaning of cool:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
listen, when the colour scheme of your team is yellow and green, you just have to commit to garish. this kit is an eyesore in a good way. this is not a great picture of the pattern but let me tell you it’s gorgeous. i’m not sure about this weird collar though, it looks fine on some of these other kits but idk it’s just not doing it for me here - 8/10
again, this away pattern is hurting my eyes just looking at it, but i like it a lot. makes me wanna go to the beach. brazil knows who they are, and you will know about it. nice colour, bit of fun! more fun kits please! - 7.5/10
—-
just like it’s football team, Poland’s kits are pretty forgettable:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
yeah sorry poland i really don’t know what to tell you here, it’s just really fucking dull. the collar does look nice here, but other than that it’s really not saying much - 4/10
again, not much to say. this does have a bit of a cross stitch pattern which i quite like, but other than that it’s average. normally i like a centred badge but here it just looks like weird. think it’s too big. sorry poland - 5.5/10
—-
sorry Turkey, the only thing worse than boring, is being boring and ugly:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
this away shirt makes polands kit look like the sistine chapel. i can’t even comment because there is absolutely nothing going on - 3/10
and yet somehow… the home kit is worse. i will never be a fan of a block stripe across the chest. the centred badge might have worked if it didn’t have a circle around it. boring and ugly - 2/10
—-
meanwhile, South Korea blew it out the fucking water!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
now this is how you make a kit! take notes turkey! this home kit is literally beautiful. colour is stunning, pattern is gorgeous! 11/10 no notes
and it doesn’t stop there! black kits are stunning anyway, but this?! i adore it. so fun, so sleek. - 10/10
—-
The Netherlands just couldn’t really be arsed:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i fucking hate this. orange kits done well are beautiful, and this is neither one of those things. at least the players will be up to code if they visit a construction site. the colour is quite literally named ‘safety orange’ - 2/10
the away kit is alright. i quite like it, the patterns decent. the colours are nice. it does look a bit like a bus seat though. - 5.5/10
—-
China took the stripped back approach :
Tumblr media Tumblr media
these aren’t my favourites, but they are nice. the home is classic, nothing fancy, but it’s smooth, it’s sleek, it’s smart. the sleeves are a nice touch - 6.5/10
the same goes for the away. not as nice as the red, but it’s cool. i like it. - 6/10
—-
Norway forgot which continent they’re from:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
now i’m aware the home kit is unpopular, but i actually like it. idk it’s something different, it’s a smart little pattern, centred badge looks good - i’m a fan. i like when countries incorporate their flags into their shirt. it is, however, the flag of thailand. - 7/10
this is a nice away kit. it’s giving fjords, it’s giving glaciers, it’s giving norway. reminds me of the adidas wwc kits, and we all know how nice those were. - 9/10
—-
Nigeria only knows how to serve cunt!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
this is nice. it’s giving me like early noughties vibes, with the font and the tick, and i’m a fan. i’ve never seen a bad green and white kit. well played nigeria, well played. - 8/10
i love black kits. i love green kits. i love patterned kits. and i love this kit. it’s a sick pattern, and it’s just gorgeous. good job - 10/10
—-
Croatia is… also here:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
yeah croatia what the fuck is this? this home kit is absolutely atrocious. boring and ugly - 3/10
i honestly don’t know if the away is better or worse. just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. i don’t know, it’s alright. weird - 4/10

ur post about not wanting to change a fundamental part of yourself and that the world should change is very relatable. im appreciative of you putting it into words
for shoes, if youve got a thrift store id recommend trying to find pairs there. ive had some luck and even if they also only last 2 months its (for here anyway,) like $5 compared to brand new store ones of $40+
another way ive been lucky is just getting elderly peoples shoes (with permission). old stuff used to be made of actual nice material so if they took care of their shoes even just casually they can sometimes still have them survive till now and still be in great condition and made of nice quality material!
it really fucking sucks how much planned obsolescence is in everything :(
srry if this wasnt helpful at all, i hope your worries are someday mended
Thank you!
All the charity shops in my area kinda suck for things that aren't weird curios and clothes. One of them has actual rubbish on teh shelves that hasn't even been cleaned, its kinda gross.
My mum has tiny baby feet and so used to get shoes from sketchers because she was considered a kids size but she's gone off them a bit because their more recent lines just aren't as good quality. She also shops on ebay for shoes but I've had less luck there so far.
I'm aware some of it is my fault for hating trainers and preferring boots but I bought a £20 pair of boots which I busted within a month because the soles collapsed in on themselves and I think its insane they're allowed to sell a product that shit.
genuinely it's almost worth it for me to buy £7 primark shoes because they last a month and a half and my £80 vans lasted 3 months and that's insane

My two cents on rings of power after my brain recovered from the damage those two episodes have dealt me. Yes it took me 3 days like Jesus returning from the dead.
Let us begin with the bad stuff
The dialogues. ohmygod the dialogues. They are just so unbelievably BAD. It physically hurt my eardrums to listen to half of those exchanges. While the other half made me cringe so hard I wished I could literally crawl out of my skin.
The costumes. Why are elves dressed with primark plaids and nightshirts? Why are all armour designs so lame?? Why do all the costumes look so bad??? Where’s your goddam budget?????
The hair. All elves have this Elvis Presley cut for no apparent reason. Again, couldn’t you guys find a couple of bucks to buy some wigs?? In that BILLION dollar budget??? No? Okay guess all elves are your average republican parliamentary from the 70’ now.
FINROD. Everything about him is just nope.
Galadriel. Or that impostor that stole her name. What is wrong with her?? Not one of her lines made any sense. Her actions close behind on the not making sense matter. She’s supposed to be a seasoned commander but makes the stupidest choices a military leader could make. Like, for example, going to “hunt down SAURON” with an armada of - hear hear - six puny elves. And I’m supposed to take this seriously?
The harfoots are literally the Croods. Yes the cartoon about the cavemen scared of anything outside their cave. “New is bad.”I’m sure they said that at a certain point.
Celebrimbor wouldn’t have been so bad if they had casted an actor fit to play the role. Like AT LEAST 20 years younger and with long black hair.
Don’t even get me started on Elrond.
The plot. Or rather the lack of thereof. All the characters seemed aimless despite the fact that Galadriel kept repeating that the sole purpose of her existence was “hunting down sauron” sounding like a broken record. They barely introduced the new characters and the ones we (supposedly) know are made barely recognisable so it all feels like a bunch of puzzle pieces haphazardly thrown together.
Now some good stuff
The OST. Good soup.
The orcs/goblins. GREAT designs! Extra creepy. They did a good job there.
The dwarves. Disa in particular was a pleasant surprise, I could even overlook the lack of beard.
Those 7 seconds in which they crammed the entire first age. It wasn’t good per se but they still managed to convey the sheer amount of power Morgoth had. (Or perhaps Melkor’s just such a cool character that not even amazons bad writing could bring him down to nothing.)
Sauron. Or rather his looming presence. Nice. That one shot of him in his spiky helm and armour was pretty cool.
Gil-galad wasn’t too bad.

I know these are so many questions, hope you don’t mind. I love Emmy 🩷
7,11,17,37,44,49,52,56,59,65
7 How would they react to a theme park? Do they like rollercoasters? The games? The food? The other rides? She LOVES them. So so much. No so much rollercoasters or fast rides, maybe the smallest one and while Dan is holding her hand. But she loves all the rest. Her times at Disney with Dan and his family or even with Charlie, Dan and Blake are some of her happiest days.
11 Do they play any sports? If so, which ones? How do they feel about sports in general? Do they like to watch any? She’s the least sporty human being ever. She likes football, she’s a Liverpool fan, but then that’s it. She got stuck into F1 because of her boys but she had no idea about it before she met Blake.
17 How do they feel about Halloween and how do they celebrate it? She always thought it was fun, especially the decorations, but she never really celebrated it until Dan. Its really fun to do customs and stuff with him around, so she ended up loving it. It just got even better when they had kids.
37 How do they feel about the rain? What do they do when it’s raining? She loves the rain. There’s something about the smell when it rains that gives her peace. The sound also makes her sleep better. The one time she hates rain is when Dan has to race in the rain. If she normally gets nervous in dry races it’s just way worse in rainy ones. Also rainy days at home with Dan are everything to her. Its cuddles under a blanket while watching a movie or just having some slow sex or talking. She loves the sun, but the rain is one of the thing she misses the most while living in Perth.
44 What’s their favorite possession of theirs and why? Its the first pair of Vans Dan got her. They were just seeing each other, Em randomly mentioned she needed to go buy new shoes because hers were falling apart. Before she could go to Primark Dan showed up with a brand new pair of purple Vans that Em’s bank account couldn’t really afford. For Dan it was really no big deal, but for her it meant everything. After that its the Captain Croc plushie Dan got her. Then her collection of helmets.
49 How clingy are they? What do they act like? When she’s in public she’s the most normal human being, but give her an empty room with Dan for two seconds and she’s the clingiest human being ever existed. Hanging from his neck is probably one of her favourite things in the world, right after having his arms all around her.
52 On an average day, what can be found in their pockets? Girl pockets are Too Small so its just her phone. But she has everything in her bag, there’s always her wallet, her laptop, earplugs, her Beats, some stuff to fix her makeup if needed, snacks for Dan, some of her pills, London the bear, and her paddock pass and her passport.
56 What are some pet names they would use for their significant other? How do they feel about pet names in general? She went from no pet names to so many its irrational and she loves it. It makes her happy. And her go to names with Dan are Baby and Love.
59 How do they feel about cuddling/snuggling? She’s the cuddles queen. She loves it. She would never say no to a five minutes snuggle with her boy. It brings her happiness and makes her feel safe.
65 What are their thoughts/relationship with death? She’s terrified. The only deaths she really had to face was a family members when she was too young to really remember. But then she has to somehow face it every weekend. The man she loves races F1 cars, she faces losing the love of her life literally half of the weekends every year, so it terrifies her. She tries to not think about it much, but its one of her biggest nightmares. More than once Dan has had to wake her up from her sleep because of her nightmares. With time the most scary part it’s something suddenly happening to her or her babies. Because if it does she won’t know, but what would happen to her family? She’s a protector and if she’s not around who will protect her babies if she can’t do it? Who’s gonna protect Dan? And if something happens to her family who is she gonna be able to keep going?

Thess vs Annual Salaries
So, like ... I get the whole "fiduciary duty to shareholders" thing. At least partially because that's the whole deal my mother always talks about when I mention the absurdity of the whole ... you know... *gestures vagely at late stage capitalism*. I mean, at least she flags up things like how many people's pensions are tied up in the whole shares thing. I still think they take it way too far in terms of fiduciary duty to shareholders, but I understand it. Sort of. Ish. Intellectually. YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN.
But there's one thing you're never going to convince me is okay, and that is the fact that the CEOs of these companies - you know, the ones who lay off hundreds of people to make the profit margins look bigger because fiduciary duty to shareholders - take home seven- or eight-figure salaries. For all the bullshit people talk about how most of these people's worth is on paper rather than liquid, we're talking annual salary here. This particular fact? All it leaves me with is questions. Like:
We're talking 7-8 figures annually, so what the fuck are you doing to spend tens of millions of dollars per year?!? How do you spend that much money? What could you possibly spend that much money on that you need more tens of millions the following year? How is that possible?
What exactly do they do to earn that much money? If the worker is worth the hire, what exactly are they doing that's worth tens of millions annually? Now, you could say "ensuring their fiduciary duty to shareholders is met", but they're not even the ones who are figuring out the best ways to reduce the fiduciary duty to shareholders; they have middle management to do most of the figuring out, and those guys only (heh; 'only') make six figures annually, while the CEO makes tens of millions by ... picking one. They're giving themselves that much money per year for the equivalent of ordering at the McDonalds drive-through.
I swear to the gods, it's like the money really is nothing more than a way of keeping score. The profits thing is sickening, but understandable if you grit your teeth and accept, for now, that companies are legally required to screw over employees and customers alike in the name of "fiduciary duty to shareholders", or else they are literally seen as stealing from the shareholders. But ... the annual salaries. I mean. Come on. Tens of millions per year. And by the Vimes "Boots" Theory of Socio-Economic Unfairness, they shouldn't have to spend that much. They can afford a house, and probably have one (hell, they probably have several at this point), so no rent. Then can afford the good insurance, so no being financially wiped out in the event of illness or injury. Hell, they can afford the healthy food that so many people can't, and to heat their homes properly, and so probably aren't getting as sick in the first place. They have probably never really met a financially crippling car repair bill, either because they can afford to replace stuff before it falls apart completely or because they just replace the whole damn car whenever they feel like. They're not beholden on "fast fashion" (read - stuff put together in sweatshops in countries with few to no labour laws and sold for a halfway affordable price at Target or Primark or wherever), so their clothes and shoes aren't falling apart after a couple of months of wear. And none of that - none of the things that so many of us feel fortunate if we happen to have it, and so few of us actually do - even makes a dent in their yearly take-home pay.
They're fucking dragons. That's all there is to it. So many of us love the idea of dragons on hoards other than money, but we have dragons, and they're ... just ... asshole humans with way too much fucking money.
So I know why they don't take a salary cut instead of tanking the lives of hundreds of people by laying them off (and making the lives of the remaining people worse as they're forced to pick up the slack or join their friends in the unemployment queue). But it fucking disgusts me, all the same. Money exists to be used, not to be sat on by rich assholes. I mean, so many people work their asses off and barely earn enough to stay alive in this economy, and these guys get paid more than anyone could reasonably spend sitting on their asses, harrassing and abusing their workers, and listening to advice on who to fire to make their profit numbers look better.
I know there are some lovely things about the world, and some lovely people in it. But dear gods, the rot is so very visible.

Get to know me
[useless info edition]
I was tagged by: @lacr1mation23 (Thanks, this was weird but kinda fun)
1. What do you have under your bed? Cat fur probably, there’s only like 5cm between the floor and the side of my bedframe anyway so I can’t fit much under there. I can’t be arsed moving my bed right now to clean under there.
2. Favorite candy? (be very specific if possible) Sour Patch Kids (RIP my teeth)
3. Describe your favorite shirt: Mustard coloured checked flannel shirt I got from Primark a few years ago
4. The last thing you drew/doodled was: I have a habit of doodling city skylines and bridges.
5. Are you completely sober rn? Yes, unless you count Lyrica and Celebrex. On the hard stuff, man...
6. What's the one thing that annoys you more than anything? That stupid female Tik Tok voice.... or Charity Muggers, tough choice
7. Have you ever gotten you tongue stuck to a cold pole during winter? I don’t live in A Christmas Story, no amount of Triple Dog Dare will get me to do it. Plus it doesn’t get cold enough here, so it would just look like a I’m a complete loon going around licking poles......well.....
8. If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would it be? Scottish Highlands, or I dunno... Svalbard looks appealing right now. Somewhere away from people.
9. What was the single last word you spoke? Either “Ciao” to my parents, or “Bébé” to my cat
Tag whoever you'd like to know better: @ljfoxie @glammoose @tigo @nornities @bakersimmer

I bought a pair of cheap stompy boots from Primark yesterday bc doc martens are shit now and all my boots have leaky soles and the weather is very wet. need new boots to keep my feet dry.
anyway I bought these cheap fake combat boots and I had. an immediate flashback. to the first time I remember ever WANTING a pair of shoes. I was like 7 and I argued and argued and argued to be bought these stompy snakeskin-effect combat boots instead of black buckle up shoes for school. mum told me they didn't look comfortable and I lied SO HARD about the fact that even trying them on in the shop I could tell they were going to rub. they made my feet blister like crazy but I don't know I think it says something about me and what it says is I Have Always Been This Way.

Zillenial
Zillenial sounds like a furniture moving service but apparently it is my identity
an outsider even when it comes to when I was born
1996
the last year of millennials
too late for spice girls and S Club 7
just on time for that book series none of us can enjoy ever again
born 12 months too early to be able to pull off a bucket hat
I roll the word zillenial around in my mouth and it sounds like dial up internet connection
keeee donnnnk ke donnk keee
nokias and thick white keyboards
that one plastic pink Barbie tv everyone wanted in their bedroom
the 2004 tsunami which made me avoid water for weeks
a vague recollection of millennium fireworks and a stronger one of US politics
Epic Rap Battles of HISTORYYYYYY
Pitch Perfect cup songs and casual homophobia
Zillenials can remember life before smart phones, if they try hard enough
battered blackberries, keys clicking with smug self importance
I hear she’s, like, a massive dyke now
Omg that’s sooooo gay
What a wee lezzo
a chrome coloured cd player you had to hold on the bus in both hands like an ancient Druid making an offering to the gods of technology
skipping that one song that never worked because of the massive scratch worked into the disk from when you accidentally stepped on it in your black Clark shoes
I look so fat in this top it’s honestly disgusting, like, kill me now, I cannot be a size 12 this summer
uggs worn in all weather
compulsory paired with Jack Wills or Abercrombie & Fitch
oh my god that was like, so random???
I’m not being funny she’s actually such a wee weirdo
it’s hard to know where you stand when you know what a fax machine was but you can’t read a physical map
(it’s the cognitive dissonance for me)
we’re the awkwardly old cousin at the family BBQ who doesn’t know whether to sit at the kids table or with the adults
the runt of the litter or the magpie in the nest
Team Jacob?! Are you MAD?
Eewwww no-one likes McFly
get in loser we’re going to primark
but even though our backs hurt
and we don’t understand Euphoria
and we know our Gen Z overlords will never truly accept us as their own no matter how much we would love that for us
when I look back on our youth
nostalgia never quite works
the rose tinted glasses slightly cracked for those of us who never quite managed to fit in

it's december~
i did a lot of black friday shopping: nordstrom's (with my aunts 40% off), breville, manduka, smith tea, and lululemon. i had a "fuck it, we were overall quite financially responsible this past year" given also receiving a promotion (and saving a lot by not upgrading apartments), so i wanted to be a tad irresponsible and treat myself. it's the most responsible time to be financially irresponsible, at least!
from my last post, i still have some funkiness and sadness going on, but the crying has stopped after that period. i read sara payne's book "i did all of that for this?!", which is a book written by a medical spouse. i think i first read it towards the end of residency but didn't really relate to it too much. however, now rereading it at this point in our lives and the medical journey, i related SO much to basically everything she said, to the point where i had the some of the same thoughts verbatim. i also listened to a few of her podcast episodes called rock solid relationships, which were helpful. additionally, i did some CBT workbook practices - these were all to identify and examine all the thoughts i was having that were impacting my feelings.
i'm letting myself "grieve". recently on the medspouse subreddit, a few people have posted about how disappointed and upset they were at where their partners had matched for fellowship. a number of people have indicated crying and grieving the news. hearing this, i also felt less alone and normal to have these kinds of feelings and wounds.
some news about the job search: matt's interview and chalk talk with USC went pretty well (it seems). the interviewers were impressed by his current title from a fancy hospital. compared to the previous job interviews, he is genuinely interested in this one and doesn't think it's a step down from his current position as the others may have been. this would be a "normal" 8-5 M-F job. additionally, he has interviews with UCI and city of hope coming up. we're also in contact with UCLA. i will follow up with UCSD. cold emailing really works to get interviews. i'm keeping my expectations low but have my fingers crossed for good outcomes. i really hope he can get something with a start date of 7/1/24.
strangely, and perhaps i have some depressed girl vibes going on which is creating this - but this past month has been the most i've ever been complimented by strangers, like ever. on my plane ride to SF, an older white man poked me as he walked down the aisle (i was seated) and said "you're too cute". then, in brooklyn as i was walking to the japanese market, some younger white (?) guy started walking next to me and said "wanted to say what's up, you look kinda good". lastly, yesterday, matt and i went to visit R&T at their upper east side home. we arrived earlier than them so i was waiting at the steps while matt walked around. a black guy that walked by said "you're beautiful, have a lovely day".
i'm telling myself this is god's/the universe's plan for me. that the previous jobs and redlands didn't work out for a reason. that R&T coincidentally moved here to NYC in september so that my remaining time in NYC would be better (and it has been substantially because of them). that random strangers are complimenting me to lift me up.
thanks to R&T, thanksgiving wasn't so lonely this year. last year, i basically spent my thanksgiving weekend alone because matt was working. this year, they joined us on thanksgiving day which was also matt's bday and made it a festive day. that weekend, i spent the day with them at industry city, dropped off coffee for matt, shopped at primark and had dinner at our apartment. they invited us on a trip to CT this past weekend to see their cousin perform at a community theater. it was so nice to just tag along with someone else's plan. we just showed up and went along for the ride.
R&T are very casual and very lenient on time. matt and i's new normal is to rush and be on a time crunch so traveling with them really helped us slow down and chill. it was nice to experience how another couple travels and to finally not be in charge. thanks T for driving! we watched elf the musical (which was quite funny and entertaining), stayed at a hotel that night while they stayed at their cousin's place, visited their family the next day, met up with their resident friend at yale and got a short "tour", and got malaysian food for dinner! they are a bit younger than us, so it also feels like they have more energy. R takes a lot of nice pictures and brings a warm happy energy to the group.

Yesterday, I went on a trip I had planned ages ago. The town I went to had a mall that was similar to the one where I bought a pair of awesome plateau shoes when I was 18. 7 years later after I got them, and I am walking them to their literal death. You know why? Like I mentioned before, I was born with congenital claw toes, anyone who suffers from this or a similar condition will tell you this: Shoes are our worst enemies. I'll never forget that one time when I was 15 and I bought a cute pair of plateau shoes from the Primark. The first time I tried to walk on them to go to a store at the edge of my town, I ended up bleeding so heavily from the back of my ankles, it literally soaked through the shoes and my mom had to throw them away afterwards. Because out feet is build a bit different, and only shoes like converse and sneakers are generally build for comfort, these are the only types of shoes someone like me can generally wear. In the summer I also have flip-flops, but that's where my choices end. And as a fashionable woman who's somewhat insecure about being short, not being able to wear shoe-types like heels can get me a bit gloomy whenever I wear an outfit that would have been better suited with different shoewear other then my eternal sneakers. The store I went to when I was 18, seemed to be some kind of outlet for trendy shoes and the plateau shoes I bought there have been the only plateau shoes my feet never had issues with! I've been craving more of those kind of gems for a couple of years now. So when I noticed they had a similar mall, I noted the adress down in the hope I could find a similar shoestore too. I did. Again, I found these babies that haven't gotten me a single blister yet despite me having changed into the shoes and having spent the remainer of the trip wearing them. Do you know how UNHEARD of, that is with feet like mine?! On top of that, these are actual Barbie ankle boots that were released because of the Barbie movie! They had a couple of different models, and these were the only ones made from a soft fabric so I wanted to give them a try. Match made in heaven. I've already made a sprint on these babies too! I'm so fucking happy, I am almost crying. Say whatever you want about the Barbie movie and wether it handles feminism correctly or wrong, but god damn am I grateful for this movie for giving me a pair of pretty boots feet even feet like mine could wear. I swear, whoever designed these boots is someone I wanna hug.
