Last week or so I spent a good few days falling back in love with traditional art, and so I decided to fill an entire page with colored pencils
Only one of these drawings is almost fully done with markers and it's the only one from way back in 2021, while all the others (except for Aliara's jacket) are color pencils
The background's all washi tapes!
I'm really proud of how this looks, so I'm including a few close ups of some of the drawings that I really really liked, as well as some credits under the cut!
The grumpus with the pink fur, blue hair and purple hat is Parstel, who belongs to @hyper-fixator !
The blue gal with the ponytail is Jerejamlie, who belongs to @soulthefunnyman !
The purple gal with blonde hair is a fanart for Holly Hollowtones back in 2021! It's the only drawing that was already old, while all the others were recently made earlier this month
have i ever posted about how much i absolutely adore fryder ( and spuddy ), because i absolutely adore fryder. it’s such a cute little guy, just look at it!!
i wanted to design a whip spider bugsnak, but the best food i could think of to draw it as was spaghetti because of the noodles as the "whips". so, here's a whip spaghider-

The stench of sulfur permeated the air around her, thicker and more pungent in the dark hole that was Kaelyn Ryder’s prison cell. She didn’t know where she was, how she had gotten there or how the fuck she was supposed to get out of it, but a prisoner she was. Guards occasionally slid a tray of what was supposed to be food into her rocky cell, never opening the door far enough for her to try anything. Not that she could in the state she was in, but she wanted to believe that she could still do something. She was a biotic for fuck’s sake, but she had been there a while already and the darkness and lack of proper food was taking its toll on her.
She’d raged against the doors of the cell on the first day, kicking and screaming and demanding to be let out before her brother came after them, but to no avail. No one came, not until she’d collapsed with exhaustion onto the uneven floor, loose rocks and pebbles digging into her skin. The guards didn’t say anything, only placed whatever they carried near the door and exited quickly and quietly. She had been surprised to see a stack of fabric which had turned out to be a pillow and blanket, a small comfort in the literal rock-hard place she found herself in.
When she woke up on the second day and she felt a bit more clear-headed, she tried to contact SAM but found her connection completely severed, even unable to use her omni tool. Her mind worked quickly, thinking through all she knew about the tech and came to the conclusion that whoever was holding her prisoner had to be using a jamming signal. Though she knew the exiles were able to utilize just about any tech they found; a jamming signal strong enough to sever her connection to the Tempest had to be top-notch. The only one she could think of who would be able to get their hands on something like that -
She had jumped up from her sitting position and pounded her fists against the door, her biotics flaring up just slightly but not enough to make a dent. Her energy reserves were drained, the limited amount of food and water she was receiving not doing much for her overall well-being. So she continued banging her hands onto the steel door, bruising and chafing her skin as she yelled into what felt like an empty void, “Bring me to the Charlatan!”
