It's official. I have finished The Sunshine Court. I have so many things to say and yet have no idea what to possibly say. It was perfect. It was absolutely perfect and heartbreaking and gut wrenching and an insane emotional roller coaster and everything i could possibly have asked for from Nora. Like she really truly delivered and i'm so fucking INSANELY grateful she has shared this story with us after all these years. We do not deserve her.

hc that jeremy and andrew are actually childhood friends who went to the same oakland middle school for a while. jeremy's anxiety was starting to affect his social life, he was selectively mute, and andrew was the new kid with no intention of making friends. they sat together every lunch time in silence. when jeremy starts talking again, andrew is there to listen. they never tell the foxes (until one day years later when jeremy's family spill onto the court after a foxes/trojans match and jeremy's sister bypasses him completely to take a running jump into andrew's arms. she still remembers the boy who came by after school sometimes and re-stitched her favourite stuffed animal when it started fraying)
