i'll always find it intriguing that juan is actually freakier than his siblings combined because why the hell did he casually think of being in an incest polycule with cesare and lucrezia instead of like...feeling repulsed by it lmao?? but then again there's been so much hinting because he wasn't just fixating on lucrezia, getting jealous of her lovers and killing them (for bigger means but motivated by jealousy) and even obsessing with her purity (when he called her a slut for having sex with paolo)...but he also had some sort of brocon towards cesare, because cesare and juan are paralleled with cain and abel, and cain and abel have always been painted with heavy eroticism almost in everything they've been portrayed in. juan is also always so quick to forgive him for both betraying him at forli and for mocking him) as he was making sexually charged comments towards him (twice about the whole "beneath the cardinal's skirt" thingie or that moment when he was drunk and making cesare uncomfortable by getting too close to him and clinging to him then asking him if he loves him). another note, i %100 believe that david oakes played juan borgia as bisexual because of the subtext with prince djem + the homosexuality rumors that surrounded them (the real historical figures) also david played two gay characters before the borgias so i assume they cast an actor who's familiar with playing sardonic closeted gays so....

kuusuke as a character is 1 billion times better if you view his words here as genuine (like how i do) . the way you see these scenes is very important to how his character will read to you in my professional opinion

like 😕😕😕 he literally cares about kusuo so much. that’s his cute brother he couldn’t hate him even if he tried (and he knows because he DID try and that’s-) . he literally just wants to play around with his brother and have bonding time but he doesn’t know how to do that normally so he does it in his weird unintentionally destructive way but underlying everything is that familial love.

the thing is that there are interesting ways to play with the idea that thomas and martha weren't the perfect parents that bruce will always venerate them as on account of they died when he was 8 (i feel like the ones i'm most interested are the throwaway lines that imply they might've sent bruce to boarding school + the idea that thomas was maybe a little too focused on prioritizing his work over family), however dc seems to constantly go for ~but did thomas cheat on martha?? was he imperfect in his potential unfaithfulness???~ (they do this for a lot dad characters in general i feel like) and it's just overdone and tiring and i hate it so.
