hi! so, the christmas sweater fic is posted, and I was gonna get back to all my wips but then I decorated my christmas tree a few days ago and had a new idea I think I mentioned in the last snippet so I started a new wip 🙈 here's a lil snippet haha istg it's going to be just a short and fluffy fic where buck eddie and christopher decorate a tree - but it already got away from me and i did just spend the first 700-ish words talking about shannon <3 (I clearly miss my beloved alive shannon fic and need to get back to her asap)

But ever since then, the joy of Christmas sort of disappeared, it was just a holiday, just to get some time off school and get presents. He wasn’t all that interested in celebrating it, if he’s being honest.

And then he fell in love with a girl who was the Christmas spirit personified.

Shannon was the one girl in school who wore Christmas sweaters and Santa hats since December 1st. She was the girl baking Christmas cookies and bringing them on random days to give out to her teachers and classmates. She loved walking through the city at night and adoring all the decorations, and she couldn’t wait to decorate a tree with her parents. As a teenager she’d get part time and summer jobs just so she could afford small gifts for all her family and friends, and still spend time making something handmade for everyone on top of that. Shannon loved Christmas so much, it was her favorite holiday, and she definitely passed that down to their kid.

When they first started dating, Eddie found the Christmas spirit again, in her sparkling eyes and a beautiful, happy smile, and the way she looked so adorable in a Santa hat, and never cared that some assholes from their class would make fun of her for how into Christmas she was – she would bring them cookies, actually, with the biggest grin and the most thoughtful Christmas wishes. She was truly amazing, the light in her eyes never dimming. Until it all got screwed up.

It's kinda funny to me to see how many non-finnish ppl are getting into finnish music bc of käärijä when I as a finn have gone through most of my life being a pretentious idiot loudly proclaiming that I don't really like or listen to finnish music 💀

with few exceptions like dingo my beloved. pls someone listen to and appreciate kunnian kentät by dingo one of my fave finnish songs of all time. 😭 really I love every single song on this collection album of theirs. In the 80's dingo was kinda like finland's beatles, they were absolutely huge.
