Rusl’s eyebrows rose to his hairline. “That’s unexpected. Did she say why she pretended to be a commoner?”

Link’s head had been swimming when Zelda tried to explain herself. What had she said? Something about how it had been nice to spend time with him without the weight of their stations. “Does it matter?”

“It does if you’ve developed feelings for her, Link.”

It could never work out. Could it? “She’s a Princess, and I’m a goat herder, Rusl.”

“There’s nothing wrong with being a ranch hand. It’s an honest living, Link, but we both know you’re far more than that, and so does Princess Zelda.” Rusl’s brown eyes conveyed his conviction in the words he’d spoken.

Zelda:

“I’m sorry, Your Highness. Master Link has returned to Ordon. Rusl sent his deepest regrets and a letter for you.”

“Oh?” Zelda took both letters from the messenger. “Thank you. You may go.” 

Moving to where the waning light from the late afternoon sun filtered through the windows, Zelda opened Rusl’s note and was scanning through it when Jeffries burst into her office.

“I’ve just received word that the hero, Link, has refused my invitation to be awarded the Medal of Valor at the Castle Town Winterzauber Winter Solstice Tree Lighting Ceremony!” Jeffries marched about the office, his hands waving in the air, emphasizing the madness of such an act. “Who turns down a chance to be recognized by their sovereign? Why it’s ludicrous, I tell you! Absolutely ludicrous!”

hii dolls!! ♡ someone tell me why we're beginning to hate fun and whimsy... and joy.. like i love the cute little names for makeup like "strawberry makeup" or "latte makeup" its so fun and plus i don't get people who hate on other people who dress up differently like scene kids and scene girls are so so cool same with gyarus like they're the coolest! okaay but.. im SUPER excited for school to start again.. is it just me?? i still have a month to completely like transform myself (like be the best version of myself..) like i cannot WAIT to go out for a quick morning run at 5:10am, get my morning matcha, doll myself up, curl my hair and do these GORGEOUS victoria's secret bombshell curls.. im so excited!! but not for the schoolwork of course.. but its okay.. ill get through it! i LOVE being a nice, sweet person, smiling at others, complimenting them, seeing how their faces just light up, you cant tell me it doesn't make your heart feel all full and fulfilled. oh my gosh i lovee oolong tea.. ive been drinking apple cider vinegar like a tiny little amount diluted with water every morning and it tastes NASTY!! also... can we talk about how MEAN everybody is on the internet nowadays? come on... why can't we just be nice each other? host little tea parties and invite each other and discuss things nicely over SCONES!! if governments and countries were like that... the world would be a 100x more peaceful!! i cant think of anything else to say.. catch you later! you know you love me
