How would the Dark Lord react if his death eaters were gay, bisexual and/or queer? He loves to discuss other people's intimate lives. He talked about Snape's personal life, talked about Tonks and Lupine's child, and talked about Merope and Tom.

i think back in the og time period he'd def use it as a weapon. not publicly calling them out or anything, more as a constant way to humiliate someone or show how them being queer and him knowing it is just power play. he would have a personal prejudice, too, with how he was raised, and he'd treat them with way more disgust, i'm positive. in a modern au, i think he'd be too logical to have a personal prejudice, though he would still blackmail and manipulate said death eater with the threat of outing them, etc.

outside of the animations and stuff, how GOOD can the mimes and living actually sing?

A couple have excellent singing voices, and a good handful sing nicely, but a vast majority don't sing very well at all lmao.

Holly belts it out like nobody else-- both in and out of her host (her host was also a singer). Hands down she is the best singer of the cast.

Depending on whether or not you like screamo/metal, Jarna sings it particularly well. She has an incredible vocal range.

Tanner, although he does not go out of his way to train his voice at all, has a very nice, rich singing voice that you'll only ever hear if he thinks nobody can hear-- or if he's had a few to drink. He's an untrained natural.

Beyond those three, I'd say some other pretty good singers would be Leon, Bonnie, Hannah, Atrox, Foxglove, Twiddle Niddle (he already speaks somewhat musically and swingy)... Uppsulka in host probably has a nice voice, too.

Mostly everyone else is amateurish at best. The worst of the worst would be Rede, Rachel... & I don't think Tim could hold a proper note to save his life either.

What do you think is the equivalent Muggle jobs for Unspeakables, Dragon Tamers, Curse Breakers?

Unspeakables work in the Department of Mysteries, researching magic basically. So I'd say they're your scientists. Little bit of top-secret Manhattan Project energy going on there.

(I honestly don't love that they're so extremely government-aligned. I think it would have made more sense with the worldbuilding, and made for a more fun Book 5 climax - if Unspeakables were a little more Dr. Frankenstein/secret society coded. Like the way Tony Stark works with SHEILD, but isn't technically part of SHEILD. I would have made the Unspeakables work more like that.)

Dragon tamers - would be a sort of cross between environmentalists, conservationists, and park ranger survivalists. Because the reason dragons need to be tamed in the first place is to keep them safe, and prevent them from causing destruction/breaking the Statute.

Curse breakers seem like security experts/safe crackers (which is why they work for the bank, and not St. Mungos.) I realize that the word "wards" is fanon, but we definitely do see a lot of magical protections on HP locations that need to be set and reset, so I figure that's what curse breakers do. They're who you call in if you need to make your house unplottable, or make it impossible to apparate into. They're also who you call if you need to get into a magically secured location.

Meat I guess would be the standard answer. Chocolate would be funnier. Maybe go wild and say the screams of frightened children is what sustains her.

The only thing I'd say she likes more than any other is eating the flowers after which she's named. They don't sustain her in any way. She just likes eating them :P

i'm sure someone has tried to work it out before, but i couldn't find it, so here are my guesses

For Olli Harald Glööckler is a definit yes, we see him in many of the inspiration pics in this behind the scenes photo by Jörn Heitmann

Also in this same pic at the very top, i think we see Donatella Versace and Mickey Rourke, and given that they are two very famous plastic surgery clients, i think a combination of the two for Till's look

As these guys (including Jörn) are German, i wouldn't be surprised if they looked for their inspiration more on the German 'Promi' people, and for Richard thought of one time hearththrob Costa Cordalis (especially when showing the abs), who it seems also has payed a visit to a surgeon at some point

Paul...hmm... i was thinking Wolfgang Joop or Dieter Bohlen but for now my bet is on Siegfried Fischbacher (of Siegfried and Roy) or Thomas Gottschalk (maybe bits of both)

Schneider i'm going with Paul Stanley from Kiss, because of the outfit and i think Mr. Stanley seems to be using a bit of a hairpiece (at least going by this pic of him without)

I don't mind facial hair as long as it's REAL. In a lot of k-dramas--especially in the saeguks, you can SEE the netting where it's glued down to the skin and always looks fake and kinda cringey. I realllly hate that look. Maybe they should do what c-dramas do and cgi that a little bit for us (I really cannot believe I'm asking for cgi lol)

I edit while I write, so I don't think of it really as a separate step.... I guess a 7? Because if I'm editing it, that means it's been written, which is always a good thing haha

hmmmmmmmmm uhhhh oh I know. In my recent fic "With You," the headcanon I finally got to write is that there was a lot of mess to clean up after the Moon mission, and Naruto and Hinata had to work a lot before they could be a proper couple.

Overall I appreciate the message of hope, perseverance, and continuous renewal in these verses. The verses sum up what eternal life means to me. The 8 in DAYS8 is supposed to be an infinity symbol, so eternity. ...It sounds like I put a lot of thought into my username, but I don't remember it taking me very long haha

My AO3 pseudonym NarutoDays was for if I ever wanted to write for another fandom, and then I could have multiple pseuds for organizational purposes (like SakuraDays if I wanted to write for Card Captor Sakura, and all my CCS fics would be under that pseud). Except that I never found motivation to write fanfiction for another fandom. So now NarutoDays is just my writer pseud and DAYS8 is my reader pseud.

She is either a self-proclaimed or fallen-from-grace Princess and uses that to coerce the Devilish Duo Wario sees her as an easy way to get riches: after all, what is a princess if not as wealthy as her country? Waluigi on the other hand has bigger plans: He sees her as a way to attain mass power and a kingdom for himself, he plans to eventually usurp her by working under her for some time. They're none the wiser of her lack of... Everything. But they still oblige her and rather not get on her violently bad side, which is all too real.

Oooh, that's a great question! And your example is solid. Wouldn't blame Neji thumbing his nose at the Eight Legged Freaks after his ordeal.

Hmm...I might need some liquid inspiration to answer this...

...argh, what's so annoying is that I tend to discover my hc's as I write the characters - does that make sense? It's really bizarre. You'd think that I'd have a tonne of head cannons just filed away, but what tends to happen is they drop into my headspace as I'm writing, rather than me actively thinking about them...I think maybe because 98% of my brain is engaged in plot most of the time (given how long BtB is), the character aspect (my favourite part, oddly enough) churns out based purely on organic in-the-moment writing and inspiration/instinct...which is probably why I love it so much, it's more intuitive than intellectual and way more fun.

The importance of the words "I hear you" between Shikamaru and Asuma, and generally when Shikamaru says this, regardless of who he's speaking to

Neji's blind spot being an erogenous zone

Shikamaru being an utter sucker for head massages

Shikamaru loving Niji's coffee (second to none)

Genma being attracted to Kurenai (much to his supreme annoyance)

Inoichi having a wicked sweet-tooth, leading to him sneaking off to indulge in various confectionary (usually at the Akimichi household) so his wife didn't lose her shit (which led to her believing he might be having affairs)

Yoshino being incredibly sensitive to Shikamaru's security whilst in the home - the only control she feels she has over his safety given his life as a shinobi

Orochimaru's severely messed up behaviour with Sasuke and the oddness of his rules surrounding it (not sure you'd call this a head canon, as it's not something I enjoy entertaining - not that all head canon's are fun)

Kakashi somatising his emotions and his body carrying most of his pain

Kakashi preferring to live in a complex with older veteran shinobi rather than his peers (quieter, less intrusive)

Shiba (Kakashi's ninken) suffering bouts of claustrophobia

Ino, Inoichi, and Naoki's habit of cracking their thumbs

Ibiki's arthritis in his hands (worse now due to chakra sickness)

Kiba's nostalgic love/hate for silky thread grass

Shikaku's involvement with the Hyūga during his youth

Inoichi being a pretty-boy when younger and having to infiltrate a geisha house (where he met Sayuri, his wife)

Shikamaru harbouring mild paranoia of losing anything Ino buys him (the risk of ballistic head injury is very real)

The playful battle of Ino keeping a mental score of "you owe me" vs Shikamaru keeping a mental score of "I'll remember this"

Tenten messing with Neji by adding spice to his food

Argh, there are loads more; but those are the ones that just randomly came to mind whilst trying to kick my marbles around. There will undoubtedly be more to come, especially with characters such as Naruto and Sasuke, but also Neji, Shikakmaru and the rest.

can i ask a silly glee question to break up any doom and gloom of the future of our firefighter/pilot couple... what covers do you tend to listen to the most whenever you listen? idk if ur the kind of glee fan that listens to the glee cast versions often or if ur like me and go through flashes of "i wanna listen to this and nothing else" but ive got a soft spot for all the warblers covers + some of finn's songs specifically (hello i love you + i've gotta be me are both so ??? injecting those songs into my veins when i need a pick-me-up, just somethin abt cory's voice, man).

i am the type of fan that listens to the covers a lot during the first couple of months, then realises if i keep up with it they will be my top artist on spotify again (bc they were for three consecutive years. and that's just embarrassing), so i stop for a bit and don't listen as much. And then I go back once they say they've stopped recollecting data.

Big yes on the Warblers covers, especially Bills, Bills, Bills and Somewhere Only We Know, those songs are my jam (latter is my favorite I think). I mostly listen to Darren's covers tbh (favorites are Cough Syrup, Hopelessly Devoted to you, Somebody I Used to Know, and his high note during Hey Jude), though I also enjoy the group songs (mostly from season 4, ngl, and the competition ones from 1-3). Suddenly Seymour is also a big favorite. Heads will roll/Thriller and Paradise by the Dashboard Light also are in constant rotation.

I was 50-50 on Cory's voice, but that cover is so good!

Curtis isn’t one for pleasantries. When he talks, it’s pretty to the point, but his face can be cryptic, with words coming out of a stoic expression. Sure, those words hold a lot of weight, but people can take him the wrong way because of that demeanor. That’s why you’re so surprised when he greets your family with flowers, small smiles and hugs going all around. You know he’s a good listener, but he actively engages and shows interest towards whatever family member grabs his attention next. Once dinner is over, he offers to help clean up and greatly compliments the entire evening.

Making nieces/nephews giggle: Ari

Ari gets along well with other adults, but for awhile, a lot of his focus was only on himself, his own plans, and his aspirations. This is why it’s a breath of fresh air to see him playing with all the kids in the backyard, actually entertaining their imaginations. Your nieces and nephews are hanging off the tree of a man, and he chases them around, picking them up and spinning once he catches one. He’s always so focused on his present tasks that it’s nice to see him doing something so playful and spontaneous, giving a glimpse at what the future could be.

Holding a Passionate conversation: Jake

Jake is historically a nervous babbler, but that changes when he becomes comfortable, or he’s engaged in a topic that the other conversationalist knows as well as him. He loves his niece, so getting along with the kids is a given, meaning he’s a little more nervous about the rest of the adults. Lucky for Jake, a lot of my family was in the military, so they respect his service and are more than happy to share animated stories. Unluckily for him, the only ones who have any idea about technology are my parents, so all the other piblings would definitely either be completely lost to those stories, while still being impressed, or begging for technology help because he decided to flex his skills.

Cooking for Everyone: Steve

Steve is white as white can be, which isn’t a bad thing, but he just isn’t used to having colorfully seasoned food. In the melting pot of America and preparing to meet the fam, though, he learns, and what comes out of it is delicious. He’s elated to share his new skills, and hopefully impress them, having practiced for weeks to get it just right. How could they not love it when his intentions are so pure?
