I'm bored and in a kkg brainrot mood, so i'm just gonna rant about my opinions of kakegurui ships and i will make some headcanons:

Kirasaya

Ok i had to start with them bc they're just too iconic, i think they have one of the most interesting and complex dynamics in kkg, they really got me obsessed with them, it's probably my number one kakegurui ship and the reason i started watching the show and reading the manga. Honestly yeah their relationship has some power imbalance, since sayaka is kirari's secretary, and is probably disfunctional, but contrary to what some ppl say kirasaya is not abusive, kirari never physically or emotionally abuses sayaka throughout the story. Anyway they're a 10/10, peak lesbian yearning, if they don't kiss at least one i will jump the author. Probably one of my fav ships ever, i think they're made for each other and i can't see kirasaya with anyone else, they're just so good together and their chemistry is >>>>>>

Yumary

Ok this one is kinda an unpopular opinion bc most people like yumary, but honestly i can't get invested into it, there's something in this ship that doesn't make my heart go "fuck yeah they should be gfs". Personally i don't ship yumeko with anyone bc i can't imagine her in a relationship since her main thing is being a compulsive gambler, her existence revolves around it and she forms relationships when they're useful for her gambling games. I think yumary could be friends with benefits for some time, but after a while mary would probably break it off because i don't think she can handle a sexual/romantic relationship with yumeko and after a while it would make her go nuts. A friendship between them is already messy and complicated and honestly i don't think they are compatible that way. Yes they have chemistry and there's probably some mutual attraction but to me it's a no. Also can cishet dudes stop fetishizing this ship ? My vote is 6/10, mostly bc mary doesn't seem much physically comfortable with yumeko, idk mary just seems off with her in that sense and i prefer them as gambling partners or friends.

Meariri

I honestly love this ship, especially after reading the manga, they have such an great dynamic, i think they both care about each other, they have chemistry and i think they're compatible and that their personalities compliment each other, mary is often loud and aggressive and passionate while ririka is more closed off and quiet, they're like fire and ice and this case i think the saying "opposite attract" works with them. Mary counts on ririka and i love the fact that she is so comfortable with her physically (mary is almost always the one to initiate the contact, holding her hand, touching her head, etc) and ririka gets inspired by mary to be her own person and chase her goals. Plus they're really cute together, aesthetically i find them the most attractive couple, i'll give them a solid 9/10

Itsukaede

Lmao i don't even know if this is the correct ship name for itsuki x kaede, ok i don't hate it and i think they could work as a couple, it's not my cup of tea bc m/f ships bore me, but i like their relationship, they have the kind of old married couple dynamic that always works. 6/10.

Ryomeko

I can see it happening, i don't ship it, but i don't mind it either, i'm kinda neutral about ryota x yumeko, but i think he's one of the ppl who care about yumeko the most in that academy (with also mary ofc), the ship is boring bc ryota is bland (he's a good guy don't get me wrong and he defo doesn't deserve the hate he gets) and as i said previously i don't ship yumeko with anyone. Sorry i gotta give it 5/6 out of 10

Yumedari

Ok i love midari but just like yumeko, i don't ship her with anyone bc i see her as someone who's too much unstable for relationships, but i know that canonically she loves/likes/is attracted to yumeko so i don't hate this ship, i think it's decent, the only problem is that yumeko hates midari. Still i think that since they're the most insane mfs in that school somehow this ship could work. 6/10

Yuridari

Again midari in my eyes is kinda unshippable, but this ship is not bad at all, they would have that kind of bickering married couple dynamic like itsuki and kaede, i like it but it doesn't do much for me. 7/10

Ryomary

Jsjssjsksk i looked the name of mary x ryota's ship on wiki so if it sounds weird it's bc i don't know their ship name and i have looked at the first site google gave me. This ship is hard no, mainly bc ryota is very bland and i consider mary a lesbian (i read that she is a canon lesbian but idk if it's confirmed by the author, let's say lesbian mary is just my hc) so shipping her with men feels like a hate crime to me, mary is for the girls only, 4/10.

Tsumary

They are kind of cute together right ? I think they're adorable, tsuzura is mary's first love and i think that someone like her would make mary very happy. I still haven't finished kkg twin, so my opinion on tsuzura is incompleted and it might change, i don't hate her but i find her character a little basic/boring so even though this ship is cute it doesn't make me fall in love with them. 7/10 bc probably also tsuzura had feelings for mary and they have a healthy dynamic, you can see they love each other.

Midasaya

I enjoy this crackship, i know that they both like different people but i headcanon that they were together during middle school or that midari had at least a small crush on sayaka during that time, before kirari came to hyakkaou i like to think that they explored their sexuality together so midari was probably sayaka's first kiss, her first date, etc, so they would have history together and we also see that midari knows sayaka bc her character is described through her pov during tower of doors. I find this ship pretty funny bc sayaka is always so serious and composed and midari is a ball of chaos. 7/10

Yumesaya

This is another crackship i don't mind and find hilarious, yeah i'm a huge kirasaya stan but i'm also a multishipper and sayaka deserves all the girls in the world, so the more the merrier. I like to think this ship as one sided love in which yumeko sort of pines after sayaka and i think it would be very interesting to see kirari being jeaulous that sayaka is getting yumeko's attention. We saw jeaulous/protective sayaka in kakegurui, but i would also like to see how kirari reacts when someone tries to take sayaka away from her, it would be really interesting. Obv this would create some tension between kirasaya and also between kirari and yumeko, almost a sort of love triangle dynamic. My opinion is that yumeko is just too unstable to settle down, also they both probably would get bored/lose interest in each other after the heat of the moment. 6/10

Ririsaya

Sorry but i really can't see it happening not even if i squint, but i really enjoy the ririsaya fanfictions and i think those works are pretty great even though i don't ship them very much. It would be interesting if both twins were in love with sayaka and there was some tension/coldness between them for a while bc they liked the same girl (maybe i read too many fanfictions). My headcanon is that both sayaka and ririka had a crush on each other when they first knew each other and for sayaka it was probably pretty confusing bc she already had feelings for kirari. I see them as friends, 7/10

Yumemisaori

Again idk if this is the correct name of the ship, many said that yumemi and saori are a healthier/mentally stable version of kirasaya and i agree. the dynamics are similar bc we have the secratary that is willing to do everything for her boss and the relationship is a little more balanced, i think they would be very cute together, but sadly they had very little interactions and if i could see more of them i would probably ship them even more. I like them 7/10.

Sachiko x Mary

I didn't even find a ship name for this couple, so they must be pretty unpopular, i like both characters and their antagonistic dyanamic is very interesting, but i don't ship them much bc i think mary needs/wants someone who is completely different from sachiko, who wants to make mary her pet and mary is someone who cares very much about her freedom, her indipendence and wants to make her own choices and this completely clashes with sachiko's extremely sadistic and domineering nature. I prefer them as enemies who have some sexual tension or enemies with benefits or one night stand adventure, but nothing more. 5/6 out of 10 bc the only mary ship i really love is meariri and i also like tsuzumary a bit.

Sachiko x Mikura

This is probably one of the most unhealthy relationships in kakegurui, but i kinda like it. Their dyanmic is pretty much vertical with sachiko who has all the power and makes mikuro do everything she wants and mikura who is completely obsessed and devoted to sachiko (my opinion is that she developed a sort of stockholm syndrome towards sachiko). I think that someone like sachiko could never have genuine romantic relationships bc of her extremely sadistic nature, she sees ppl like toys to break and what she enjoys the most is seeing ppl suffer, so the only compatible person with sachiko is someone extremely masochistic like mikura. Giving them a 6/7 out of 10 bc their interactions are fun/interesting and spice things up.

Rin x Ibara and Yumeko x Kirari

Hard no to both of them, i don't ship incest, yall can do what you want but personally it's a huge no for me. When i first started watching the anime at the beginning i thought yumeko and kirari had some sort of tension and could have been enemies to lovers (lmaoo i was so naive), but then i discovered they were cousins and i saw more kirasaya interactions so i got completely turned off by this ship. 3/10 to both of these ships.

Sachiko x Sakura

Now this ship is very sexy, idk why i like it but i do, yes i don't see sachiko with anyone besides mikura, but this pairing is not bad at all, even though it's a crackship. I think they would be rivals with benefits and would argue a lot and then make out/have hot sex. 7/10 (maybe it's too high but since these are just my opinions i won't be objective)

Mary x kirari

Uhm is there really someone out there who ships them ? Yeah i thought they had some sexual tension in s1 with that tea scene, but it's a no from me, i don't like it and i don't think they're compatible in any way, i can't see kirari with anyone who isn't sayaka. 4/10

I always felt weird being the only one in my friend group that was honestly annoyed that Rin used Kakashi to commit suicide- it was around those times when the internet was on a roll with memes about Kakashi killing Rin and genuinely seeming to think that Kakashi chose to kill Rin T.T like wtf did we watch the same show- i felt bad for Rin and i can kinda believe that she really did think that it was for the best or the only option that she had, but that didn't mean that i wasn't sad and pissed for Kakashi T.T the line "She chose to die by the hand of the man she loves" is bullshit and i want to bleach my brain for ever having to hear such nonsense

I hate that line so much because it’s used by so many people to show the value of the pair romantically (and don’t get me wrong, the ships not for me but i don’t HATE it. People can ship it and have fun) but like..

Doing that severely f***ed Kakashi up and without at least addressing that fact the relationship is toxic af and doomed to not work. Like i can’t imagine dating someone if they tried to use me as a weapon to end their lives

1. How do they fall asleep? Wake up? Any rituals?

It actually doesn't take much for Rin to fall asleep; give him a soft pillow and warm comforter set, and he's out like a light, but man, does it take forever to wake him up. Neither does it take much for Shiemi to fall asleep, though it's much easier for her to wake up, especially since she owned/owns a garden; you have to be an early riser in order to tend to one.

In a domestic/cohabiting relationship, there'd be lots of cuddling. Rin sometimes likes to put on a bit of a light show with his flames for Shiemi, showcasing his (lack of) talent when it comes to forming shapes/things, but really, it's because his flames are warm and he knows it's the quickest way for Shiemi to snuggle closer to him. I feel like Shiemi takes up reading as a hobby, especially before bed. Sometimes, she'll read aloud if Rin asks her what she's reading, but then he winds up falling asleep to the sound of her voice. When she reads to herself, she also likes to trace soft circles into his hair/scalp, which also puts him to sleep instantly. But then, there are times where she'd get really immersed in whatever it is she's reading up into the wee hours of the morning until Kuro finally takes it upon himself to jump on her lap to get her to finally go to sleep. And even still, she's overcome with a buzz to keep going, but then she winds up watching Rin's sleeping face, his half-opened eyes and the tiny trail of drool dribbling down the corner of his mouth, and eventually falls asleep (but not without laughing at him).

Shiemi almost always wakes up before Rin because he sleeps like a log, so the task of getting him to wake up falls to her. Sometimes, she shakes him awake; sometimes, she softly calls his name softly between peppering his face with kisses (she realizes that he likes this method the most even if it's not the most successful); and sometimes, she leaves the task to Kuro, who either shapeshifts on top of him, sits on his face, or pushes him onto the floor. Smelling salts work too, lol, but it's not something Shiemi does often.

18. What are their dates like? How long do/did they date? Do they ever feel the need to take a break from each other?

Their dates, at first, are awkward, because while they've been friends for so long, dating is something neither of them are familiar with and trying to navigate what that means for both of them comes with a challenge. Heck, Rin never thought in a million years that Shiemi would ever return his feelings, so he's still reeling from that. I feel like Shiemi would not only consult Izumo and Paku - because she's the only one with any dating experience, besides Shima, but no one's asking him anything, much to his dismay - but she'd put her shoujo manga to good use, as well as any dating magazines/books that Izumo would recommend.

They definitely make do on their date at the amusement park like they promised. It's like, the first date they ever have and it's also the one that sets the stage/tone for their relationship, because not only is it super awkward because they feel like there's a rulebook they must follow, especially Shiemi, but their friends end up crashing their date; however, it's thanks to that that the tension dissipates and they realize that they don't have to try so hard; that they should just be themselves and whatever tricky bits they encounter, they'll deal with it accordingly. They'd have study and at-home dates at each others' residences, and missions where they're partners would wound up as dates. Like, so long as they're together and having fun, that's a date to them, but they'd also go out for fun too, like to the park or out to eat (which isn't often because Rin is poor af thanks to Mephy). They definitely take advantage of their out-of-town missions, because then they'd go sightseeing, food sampling, etc.

Their relationship is ever-lasting. I mean, it's my hope that Shiemi lives as long as Rin does, given that he's a half-demon and he'll outlive all of his friends, including his brother (I really hope that's not the case), so yeah. I don't think they ever feel the need to take a break, because they were friends with their own lives prior to dating each other. They'll still do their own thing despite this because Rin and Shiemi respect the hell out of each other and their boundaries.

29. How do they handle disasters or emergencies? Minor injuries? Sickness?

They're opposites when it comes to this. Shiemi is a doctor and tamer. Disaster preparedness is her shtick, so she handles this kind of thing with relative ease. She's collected, if not a little emotional, but for the most part, she's got her bearings together. It's Rin, Mr. I Like to Use My Body as a Punching Bag and Action Now, Consequences Later that makes everything difficult.

Rin's body doesn't sustain injuries. He heals well within a hour or two, depending on the type of injury, but Shiemi insists - is downright forceful actually - on applying first aid, not just because it's her job as a doctor/healer to heal, but because she doesn't like to see Rin get hurt. He tells her that she doesn't need to do it, but Shiemi's not having any of it, and Rin can appreciate the sentiment, because even though he knows he'll never keep a scar or bruise, the thought the Shiemi would go out of her way to take care of him means a lot to him. He even likes to keep the bandaid/gauze on too, as a reminder of this. (Shipping aside, I feel like Rin feels this way about Yukio too). Shiemi has callouses for days, literal farmer hands, and she's handles her own injuries like a champ. Rin, of course, panics when she gets hurt, and he doesn't like the idea of her being in danger, but he also knows that Shiemi is perfectly capable of taking care of herself.

As for sickness, again, Rin doesn't get sick, but if he did, Rin would frickin' hate it, lmao. Like, on one hand, Shiemi taking care of him? 👌🏽 But, Shiemi's cooking? Yeah, no, thank the high heavens he doesn't have to suffer through another helping of grass and herbs. Rin dotes on Shiemi whenever she gets sick, not that she's a fan of being coddled, but the meals that come with being sick are to die for and having him take care of her warms her heart. Rin has experience taking care of sick people, because Yukio used to get sick a lot, so this would definitely transfer over to Shiemi.

33. What kind presents do they get each other? Do they only do it on special occasions?

Shiemi would put a lot of thought into gifts for Rin, not that he wouldn't, but like, Shiemi freaking loves this kind of thing. She gives him flowers - and I'm gonna headcanon that she knows the language of flowers, so it's extra special - and at one point, she even makes him one of her homemade hair accessories to help him clip his bangs back. She gives him bags of her special tea blends, and herbs and seeds to use in his recipes too. Rin knows that Shiemi really loves his cooking, so he'd make her a really good meal, especially with the ingredients she gives him as a thank you. Rin would buy her hair accessories and ornaments, little knickknacks and handicrafts because he knows she's super into that stuff. It's not relegated to special occasions, but sometimes just because they were thinking about each other while looking at something that reminded them of one another.

36. What's their greatest strength as a couple? Their weakness?

God, there's much to choose from: the fact that they confide in each other their insecurities; that they're a source of comfort for one another; that they're so protective and attentive of each other; or that they're such a deep source of encouragement and inspiration for one another. I really feel like all of that is tied together, because within each of those instances, they were doing all of those things! Argh! Grace, why would you ask me this hard ass question?! 🤣

Okay, so I'll go with how protective/attentive they are of each other as their greatest strength, and the fact that they still keep secrets from each other as their weakness. The fact that they pay so much attention to one another means that they know what makes the other tick; they know precisely what to say, what to ask and do that'll prick each other's consciousness to be a better them (which, again, is tied to how they're a huge source of encouragement for each other), like how Rin thought of Shiemi when controlling his flames in Kyoto against the Impure King or just the fact that Rin literally broke Shiemi out of her self-contained prison to pursue exorcism for herself. I'll go on forever if I talk about this, but they're such good friends to each other!

As for their weakness, I think they have of habit of trying to tackle issues on their own instead of learning how to rely on each other fully. They keep secrets from each other to their detriment. Like, Rin has had so many close calls with Demon!Rin because he doesn't want to accept and face his insecurites, and I can't quite shake the feeling that Shiemi's going to be in a world of trouble with "The Beautiful People" cult that could possibly be avoided had she told someone where she was going and what was happening. I mean, I know she was sworn to secrecy, but at the same time, it reminds me of what happened in the beginning of the manga, where Rin had to keep the fact that he was the Son of Satan a secret, and how it blew up into an awful mess because he didn't tell anyone. I feel like Shiemi will experience something similar had she confided in someone about it too.

Ok.

@frickhead-jpeg Let me preface this by apologizing for this reply being one whole week late, but I hate writing, combined with all the info flowing at the same time, i had to segment this.

I can’t guarantee you that I’ll stick to just facts, since Sanrio creates a mascot, gives them 2-3 traits and moves on; a lot of this is from my inferring. I also can’t give you that much info on my melody since I’m not as interested on her- most of what I know is from the anime anyway.

Note: If I’m assuming something wrong/need to know something PLEASE tell me I will devour the knowledge

So, lloromannic.

(I REALLY did not want to readmore this as if this were reblogged, I’d like all the info to go with it, but this is a 9 page word document WITHOUT images, so I’m sparing everyone.)

They debuted in 2007- same year as Kagamine Rin/Len. Kind of an odd coincidence that they’re both like, a boy/girl duo… if only I knew the exact date for lloromannic. I guess it was That kind year for characters????

Also, fun somewhat related fact to increase the sus levels: The 2008 song Kokoro (&Kiseki eventually but not) by toraboruta story is pretty much identical to lloromannic’s origin, just like… taken seriously. And more tragic, whatever. Just makes me think people know something I don’t about this……………………………………….. Their status isn’t as vague as the Kagamines though, as Sanrio often reinforces the “they’re friends!” bit. A lot of people think of them as dating- it’s somewhat supported, as whenever Cherry is sucking up to Espresso Berry appears deterred.

However, he doesn’t act jealous nor argues about it, which could be reinterpreted as just him being afraid of losing her as friend. Personally, I love the found trope family on them and think some sort of unbreakable blood of battle is thicker than the water of the womb (sorry for being cheesy) suits them perfectly!!! I just think found families are neat. (I’m not opposed to the ship though, it’s just not something I lean on often)

Before I forget, lloromannic is cinnamoroll backwards.

They were created shortly after Kuromi given her success as a little demon subversion of My Melody, so design and motive wise they have a lot in common. Unfortunately, they did not become nearly as popular, probably BECAUSE SANRIO FORGOT TO PUT THEM IN A DECENT CINNAMOROLL ANIME AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!! IM SO ANGRY WE COULD HAVE HAD IT ALL!!! LLOROMANNIC COUNTRY!!!

I read from a poorly translated blog long ago that the word lloromannic doesn’t refer to just those two, but rather the whole town they come from, and more lloromannic characters should be brought to light more often. Make of that what you will, BUT I do know one more character I’ve seen in Fuwa Fuwa Cinnamoroll fanart that also comes from lloromannic, called Cavity. He’s(?) basically like a cloud with little demon wings and tail. MS Paint mouse drawing because I can’t be bothered to plug in my tablet:

Addition: remembered this image one of the llorobots at twitter post and that it has what I believe is cavity along with other cloud characters? So there you have it.

Something like that… I don’t remember if he has hands or not honestly bhddhajv. From what I inferred from fanarts, I guess he worked alongside (maybe even bossed around) Berry and Cherry in regard to taking over Cinnamon’s coffee shop. I can’t confirm any of this until I get my hands on the last (I believe it is the last- volume 5- that lloromannic appear) volume of the manga, and man that’s hard to do for no good reason. I’ve seen them on sale online though, I might just buy them one day. Otherwise, I haven’t seen him anywhere else, at all.

Neither of them shows up in the movie since they were created after it’s release.

Back to ‘lloromannic’, their descriptions in Sanrio pages is often just “we came from the other side of the mirror in the mansion” or something along those lines, so to me personally it’s just safe to assume that’s their place of origin, and now they just fuck around in the haunted mansion in Sukuru Town, where Cinnamon and the rest live.

Still regarding the mirror- It’s always mentioned as a single one, and although it’s not always drawn the same, the most common version of it is a large, oval one with black horns (and sometimes a skull) at the top sitting on the foyer of the mansion. So, I think only that one would lead to where originally they come from ONLY, as it’s been shown in both Onegai My Melody (henceforth referred to as OMM) Kirara and the Cinnamoroll twitter than they can show up/teleport in any mirror though.

I mention this now rather than later because it ties in slightly with one plot hole questions I’ve had: they can both teleport anywhere through mirrors, but the short video about their origin story vaguely implies Berry has been isolated for a long time, nothing but magic books, and because of it he wants a friend, rather than the more common idea of “he’s really awkward and always pranking people so he can’t make friends”? In this video he also has a floating pumpkin and a small bat following him around: if he created cherry it’s likely he made the pumpkin live, for example. Like, there is no thought about teleporting somewhere and making a friend up until Cherry joins, it’s just straight up into candy frankensteining. I basically have the “isolated until learned magic further, created Cherry and together learned to use mirrors” idea as part of background headcanons for them, but the right answer is often the simplest so he really could just have been Dumbass. Idk

Additionally, they are also associated with a mirrored clock (pictured below) that instead of the 12 hours, it has 13. There was more info about this clock but it’s such a background thought nowadays that I can’t even remember what it’s about guuuh….

By mentioning the mirror situation, I skipped and assumed a lot of their background info was known so uhh here goes:

Berry is the boy with black wings and goat-like horns. He has a scar on the back of his head from an undisclosed childhood accident.

No one ever mentions that the horns are growing completely backwards on him, and even Sanrio eventually decided to give up on curling them and just draws them like this now:

Not me though. Not me. Anyway, what he wants most is to make friends, but it seems he never starts on the right foot. His love for pranking people first and introductions later might have something to do with that. Idiot. Stupid ass. I love him.

If, assuming he was trapped but eventually managed to move around through mirrors, and with the RARELY BUT SOMETIMES INFO of him being Cinnamon’s reflection, you could categorize him as Doppelganger demon. Something like this?:

Not to detract, but in that game each ghost has a background story, and for this one the story is about twin ballerinas where one accidentally kills the other by putting glass in her shoes (infection), and the other eventually shows up in the mirror and makes the surviving twin choke herself. Food for thought on the 2007 Kagamine thing. Or maybe it’s me connecting the dots about doppel lore (you didn’t connect shit) I CONNECTED THEM!!!!!!

Regardless, he is rather awkward in social interactions, but it’s a case where the more comfortable he is the chiller it goes? The reason he seems to dislike Cinnamon so much is because despite being shy, he has a lot of friends. He knows deep down Cinnamon thinks he’s a friend too but he’s just too tsundere to admit it I guess sjdfdbhfja. He is also very stubborn.

He LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVES sweets and loves whatever Cinnamon makes. Seriously, for what it’s worth he never talked badly about the food.

In collabs/fancier clothing, he often has a similar jester collar as Kuromi. A centered top hat (as opposed to cherry’s sideways, neck tied one) is also common.

He is voiced by Koki Miyata and is apparently the only male character voiced by a man in the Cinnamoroll crew.

I think individually, that’s all I can say about him.

As mentioned before and known by any lloromannic fan worth their salt (lol) he was lonely, so he decided to make a friend. Literally. You can see the recipe he used in this video, if you want to try for yourself:

The instructions required sugar, but for some reason he had the labels wrong and used salt. This is usually the excuse given for Cherry’s bad attitude (I don’t think Berry minds much which to me speaks a lot about loving someone despite their flaws ooh aah subtext only I see BHJSDSHDVJHAF). Cherry is voiced by Fujiko Takimoto. She always greets people with “good night” in French (Bonsoir I think), so we can assume she knows how to speak it. Nowadays she is rarely seen without her phone.

Cherry is a girl with black wings on her head and a cute little top hat that ties around her head. She has a tattoo of butterfly wings on her back. (Headcanon time: salt fuckery made it so her demon wings went to her head rather than back, she got that because…. Idk YOU THE READER complete the sentence. She thinks having butterfly wings would be cool or smth bhdvasd) Also, even though it’s not drawn consistently, her tail sometimes makes a heart shape, so I like to think her tail is significantly longer when compared to Berry’s.

She is often described as “selfish and with a crush on Espresso” so I guess… she doesn’t share her stuff that often?? I don’t know if the crush on Espresso has any background, but he since he always acts like an everything savant and her first words (according to the previous video) was something along the lines of “hello prince charming, your Cherry is here” yea, I guess she sees him as a prince. Her bad attitude can be seen on the occasional Cinnamoroll tweet and in OMM but it’s not something that comes up that often honestly. Like for the most part she’s chill, so if anything, the bad attitude thing is on a first impression basis; exception being, she always acts sweet around/to Espresso, so you know <___< girl probably is a tumblr yandere or something. She does have tsundere moments though, like during the band joint effort for the Sanrio popularity poll there was this:

For the most part she seems alright not having many friends, unlike Berry. I don’t feel like we see much of her personality because of this… I don’t know if it’s favoritism, but I just don’t have as much to say about her as I’d like.

If I had to categorize her the same way I did Berry (despite her equal proficiency with mirrors) I would say she’d be more like a Homunculus; a mandrake was used in her creation, and more importantly, she IS a creation. I have no idea how you go from vague plants and bats recipe, to oven, to fully fleshed out tiny cuddly creacher, but hey I’m not an alchemist. It does bear very interesting questions about how her inner anatomy works (as we don’t really see a mold/skeleton/etc, and not even Berry knew what was going to come out of the oven- he seemed surprised it was a girl), as well as her response to infections, injury, disease, etc. More importantly, to me personally, would she fall apart eventually? (And you will say “sugar, you are over thinking this”, and I will reply, “if I don’t, then what’s the fucking point”. Get bent I love her so much and I want to figure her out so badly aidfodflsj.) Anyway, by Sanrio standards this is all irrelevant so disregard.

I left some stuff out of the individual analysis because there’s a lot I want to approach as a duo and now it is time for that:

Berry’s birthday is on the 6/6, and Cherry’s on the 9/9. Funny number aside, that’s a common play on their pronunciation as together it sounds like ‘rock’ – 6 is ro, and 9 is ku (like the way Show by Rock is often abbreviated as SB69). I don’t think, besides that, there’s any ulterior motive to why their birthdays land on these dates…?

Idk if this is me projecting, but Berry has been shown to be more of a crybaby than Cherry, which aligns well with the whole loneliness/want friends thing.

They are sometimes seen with chess pieces (where each role is replaced by Cinnamoroll characters) so chess might be something they play a lot together (either legitimately or when planning pranks) to pass the time. I fucking hate chess.

I’ve speculated a bit on their demon forms for being only slightly inconsistent with details regarding why they have/when they use it. Firstly, as a personal paranoid connect-the-dots detail; since they were inspired by Kuromis popularity, I think their true forms always being visible in their shadows came from this detail from the OMM anime:

When Berry is in his true demon form, he grows claws, his horns turn upwards, and his wings get bigger and skeletal like. Minor side point: the ‘powered up’ design for Tasmanian Demon from demonsvenom (SB69) is incredibly similar to this; I don’t believe there’s a hidden motive to it other than demonsvenom being mainly an emo rock band, so the designs were inspired by late 2000s emo related stuff? Still, its fun to joke about.

When Cherry is in her true demon form, her top hat comes loose and becomes a ribbon that wraps around her tail- which loses that pointy devil thingy and becomes thick. I read in that same google translated blog that this was something she was embarrassed about and didn’t want Espresso finding out; if it’s fact or just a headcanon, no idea, but I think it’s cute so I decree it law. cbsvhbh. She also grows claws, gains red eyes, and her head wings become bigger and open fully, leaving no doubt that they’re bat wings.

Now here’s where it gets silly: It could be just early plot installment or whatever the trope is called, but the primary info about these forms is that they only come out at night (alternatively, only on full moon nights). They both are also afraid of the sun, maybe because it hurts them, maybe because they forgot their sunglasses. (This is relevant to this section because the info came in pairs)

Later on, in the OMM anime and Cinnamoroll tweets, they don’t seem to be fearful of daytime, so I think that detail was discarded. And as far as I know, the “turn by nighttime” isn’t strictly followed as well, being more like “turn when using a lot of magic”?? I don’t know. I feel like this true form thing has been discarded too these past years that’s for sure. I’m literally not sure of any info in this section and ‘turn when using a lot of magic’ is almost entirely a Me headcanon derived from the video I previously linked where they temporarily transform to produce nightmares. A common fan representation i’ve seen around is that these forms are seperate, more malice driven entities.

Oh also on the same video it’s shown that they like to prank human children by giving them nightmares of themselves. So don’t forget that! And they hide from the sun in their drawers if they forgot their curfew.

Berry likes pranking people (particularly cinnamon) a lot more than Cherry, and it sometimes annoys her when she’s not in the mood for it.

I guess this could be said for anything Berry does though; in OMM he’s literally dragging her inside because they’re missing the Usamimi Kamen anime vhjbfdvbhs

Despite this it’s not a REALLY FUCKING ANNOYED annoyed, and she does seem to like pranking (and watching Usamimi Kamen) as well, just not as much- She definitely doesn’t bother to fix whatever mess up Berry has done or convince him to not do whatever he was planning to do.

If anything, though, she likes poking fun at Berry, examples include laughing at his dumbass faces:

And throwing whatever she can magic at him since when she first got uhh.. finished??? For the heinous crime of not being a prince charming or something.

Wrekt. Im sure there’s more examples…

Before I move on, I want to close the Usamimi Kamen topic: I think it’s not just Usamimi that Berry likes, but rather the whole Kamen genre? So stuff like Power Rangers and Kamen Rider, he’d probably like. It’s known that My Melody also admires Usamimi Kamen, and there’s a 20 second skit from OMM that I absolutely refuse to let go: when Berry dressed as Usamimi, My Melo gained an instacrush and pretended to break up with Prince Sorara for not being as good as Random Guy In Usamimi Kamen Cosplay (they’re not even dating btw this just served to piss off Sorara and Kuromi)

So, going from their demon forms to magic proficiency, I find it really interesting that not once their magic was seen failing (although sometimes not having the intended consequences, but never a spell fizzled out or backfired in a magic sense) So although they’re just little creachers they definitely have some power in them.

Let me get my headcanoning out of the way by saying it’s more interesting to think their skills compliment each other, so I think Berry would be more proficient in “physical” magic, like potions and plants and the like, whereas since I’ve seen Cherry conjure things out of thin air, she’d be better at stuff that requires more mental strength. There’s overlapping of course, like shapeshifting, teleporting- a mental technique altering a physical body… This is a case-by-case basis on who could perform it better. My examples are 1: them teleporting through a mirror in OMM; Berry is noticeable clumsier coming out.

2. Shapeshifting into Cinnamon and Mocha: although not perfect, they both seem to have it pinned down fairly well. (Cinnamon figures out Berry is Berry pretty easily, and obvious point of ‘there can’t be two Cinnamons’ aside, they might be unable to alter their voices, or the disguises not be as convincible in universe.)

That’s it that’s the headcanon.

Onwards to what they can do:

Travel and spy through mirrors, as mentioned previously.

Flying. Not really a special skill in Sanrioverse since almost anyone can do this.

Shapeshift.

Summon objects (in the video FRIEND, Cherry seems to be able to conjure them from thin air rather than summoning them from somewhere else, at least how I interpret it- she was literally just born, after all).

Alter the state of objects in their environment: Seen in OMM, they made one of the mirrors reflect Baku when Prince Sorara was looking through it, and a photo of barbecue emit its scent*. On twitter, it was shown berry mess up Cinnamons cupcakes as well as his own birthday cake (without his knowledge).

*Note: This scene showed that lloromannic feel pity for Baku’s family poverty situation as they left the area crying and this is

important for me personally.

Alter the state of living things in their environment: same as the last point and shapeshifting to a degree. Berry once turned Cinnamon’s cat from white to black, complete with little horns.

Summon clowns?? Create clowns?? Create… people??? Uhh if this is a magic skill then whatever the fuck this was (they unleashed an evil clown on a themed park from what I recall).

Cherry was shown once messing with Berry’s super evil malefic potion and replacing whatever the result would be with the Cinnamoroll gang. Pictured: the oven she was created in!!

I don’t know if I’m missing anything, but I think all these are already pretty impressive, no? Ironically, you’ve never seen them cook/bake. Unless Cherry counts as as such lol.

I think from here on out it’s going to be more disjointed trivia stuff without it connecting to one another, that I find in my lloromannic image folder that is worth mentioning.

Cinnamoroll has this AU called Cinnamoroll kingdom where everyone has like a medieval role in society. Llloromannic are the king’s (Cinnamon) jesters, and Medieval Berry is planning to somehow overthrow him.

They are acquainted with Azuki of Cinnamoangels, as they once won a Halloween costume contest together.

They are prominent characters in the gacha/dress up game Hello Sweet Days, so if you have the patience and want to fill your little pixel house with lloromannic stuff, that’s your app! I tried it but it’s not for me… I do occasionally lurk twitter to see what new lloro goods dropped, though.

favorite thing about them It’s so hard to pick, but I think his resilience. Kakashi has genuinely been through hell and back and yet he keeps going. His character development in Naruto is one of my absolute favorite things, the way he starts out as this seemingly apathetic but deep down very guarded character who ultimately grows to love his students and make peace with his past and finally find some happiness. He’s the man who lost everything and still keeps going and maybe it’s just because I, too, am a depressed bitch but that’s always bee super comforting to me and felt very reassuring. Like if Kakashi can hit rock bottom but pull himself up out of that pit and find happiness and success, then so can I.

least favorite thing about them I don’t even know if I have a least favorite thing about him. I honestly love everything about him. I guess the closest thing I can get to a least favorite thing would be that I wish we saw more of him goofing off and having tons of fun like when he and Guy raced in Shippuden. Hearing Kakashi laugh and joke around was just so good for my soul.

brOTP Hands down Guy. I mean, I ship them, too, but I just really love their friendship especially. Guy just really brings out the best in him and provides this really nice foil to Kakashi’s personality. I genuinely think Kakashi would’ve been done for if not for Guy’s loyalty and optimism. Their friendship is so fun and the two of them together never fail to make me smile.

OTP Does my KakashixOC ship count? Because if it does, then that’s my OTP. I have spent way too much time and energy on their relationship for it to not be. That probably sounds super cliche and maybe a little Mary-Sue-ish but I don’t even care, Rei and Kakashi are my magnus opum and I love them. I’m also just really, really proud of the way I’ve written their relationship. So much of their bond is informed by my own relationship with my fiance, and I think my own experiences have really evolved my understanding of what real intimacy in a romantic relationship looks like. It’s not so much about flowers and chocolates and date nights as it is about caring for and comforting the person you love, spending quality time with them, making them laugh and smile, being 110% yourself around them, and providing for them in their times of need. I have never written a relationship so real and specifically raw before, and there’s a lot of intricacies that I’ve worked in as well, that just overall make me incredibly proud of the progress I’ve made on their story, and proud of the story I’ve been creating for them in general. But if an OC ship doesn’t count for OTP, I really like Kakashi with Shizune, Guy, Yamato/Tenzo, and Iruka.

nOTP Oh god I have quite a few. I really don’t enjoy focusing on negatives nor do I want to start ship wars so I’ll keep these explanations brief. I can’t stand Kakashi and Sakura, the mere thought of it makes me *this close* to puking. I take big issue with ships in general between characters that met when one of them was a child and the other an adult, though. It just comes off incredibly pedophilic to me and makes me nauseous. The other big ship I take issue with is Kakashi and Rin but that’s more of a personal issue because their relationship, and Rin’s character in general, hit way too close to home (in a very warped and psychotically symbolic way) to some really traumatic stuff I dealt with in the past that took me years and lots of therapy to deal with, and it still trips me up to this day. It’s not anything that anyone in fandom has done or anyone who ships Kakashi and Rin with each other, it’s just a matter of me noticing parallels between the ship and my own trauma that make it incedibly hard for to tolerate content of it. Just to tack these on, as well, but I also really dislike him with Hanare from the filler episode and with Kahyo from the book Lightning in the Icy Sky. The romance with Hanare just felt really disingenuous to me like I can tolerate it, but it’s not my favorite. And as for Kahyo, I blame bad writing. The fact that the book was referring to her as “the woman who has Kakashi’s heart” literally within like two pages of them meeting really pissed me off. I couldn’t even finish the book so I can’t even speak on the rest of the relationship but I just got so turned off by the entire story in general because the romance was so unbelievable and abrupt. I feel like anyone who has read my fic, though, likely has picked up on my opinions on these, though. Not that I’m writing ship hate or anything because I’m not, but there have been little plot points here and there that have kind of touched on my feelings on these ships.

random headcanon I have way too many but here’s one of them, I guess, though this is more a musing than a headcanon. I think, when the war is over and Kakashi can finally catch his breath, he goes through a bit of an identity crisis as he comes to terms with the fact that he no longer has his sharingan. After all, he had Obito’s eye for almost twenty years. Learning to function without it is going to be incredibly difficult but not only that, so much of his identity was founded on his secondhand sharingan. Who even is he without it? Does he even recognize himself anymore? And how can he ever live up to the reputation he’s garnered over so many years now that the source of all of his power is gone for good? Yes, he was a prodigy before the sharingan and he is still capable without it, but it’s going to be a big change and take a huge toll on him and his perception of himself.

unpopular opinion I’m glad Kakashi has never been given an explicitly canon love interest. Honestly, I don’t want him to have one. As much as he deserves to find love and start a family with someone, from a fandom perspective I much prefer him being open and available. It creates a much more flexible interpretation of him and his love life so that we, the fans, can write him however we damn well please and I think that’s pretty fantastic. I think it’s safe to say that Kakashi is one of if not the most heavily shipped character in the fandom and everyone has very strong opinions on who he belongs with and even how he idenifies from a sexuality perspective. I can only imagine the uproar that would come from finally giving him a canon love interest because you absolutely cannot please everyone. In a way, I feel like Kakashi is just a character who belongs to all of us. He is something different for every single person in fandom whether that’s someone to look up to and seek guidance from, someone to protect and root for, someone to relate to and find comfort in, someone to love and/or lust after. Or in my case a precious emotional support ninja husbando. I don’t know if he would’ve had quite the same effect on fandom if he had been canonically shipped with someone from the get-go, but I’m grateful that he never was and I hope he never will be so he can continue playing the role in fandom that he has been for so many years. That probably sounds selfish, though, but I just really want him to remain a character that belongs to all of us and is not inhibited by canon in terms of who he loves and how he identifies.

Fate/stay night Réalta Nua Part 1 - Fate Route (1/2)

Prologue I’ve always wanted to read the VN so it’s time for me to actually do it! I feel like the anime left a lot of things to be desired so let’s see how it goes~ Didn’t expect Mitsuzuri and Rin to be good friends hmmm. I knew Shinji was supposedly popular but I didn’t know he was supposed to be THAT popular, guess I can further understand why he gets so insulted when Rin rejects him but yeah, still a thoroughly crappy guy. Ugh, his arrogance puts me off to no end. Wow, omg, Rin put him in his place so hard, it was hilarious. No wonder why he hates her lolll. Rin is so silly though, she knew her clock was one hour faster and yet she totally forgot loll, I wonder if she really would have been able to summon Saber instead if she did the ritual at the time when her magic was at its peak though? However, Archer is much more interesting and fun than Saber so yahh, not much of a loss there hahaha. Well, I guess since you have to summon them with something related to the Servant, she probably would have still got Archer haha. Hahahaha, I love how he said he’ll ignore her opinions and do everything his own way, so she can just hide in the basement until the Holy Grail War ends🤣🤣 Lmao when she used one of the Command Spells to force him to obey her orders from now on lolll. But I see…she failed summoning him properly so he doesn’t have his memories of who exactly he is… Lmao that he had to clean the living room because he has to listen to her orders or it’ll affect him (due to the spell). Their relationship is so cute though, he even made good tea for her! Although she’s too much of a tsundere to admit that she liked it, he could already tell, so that really adorable hahaha. I’ve alwayssss shipped Rin and Archer together since back in the day hahaha. So cuteee when she was embarrassed at him calling her Rin when she thought he’d just call her “you” or “Master” hahaha.

I love how confident and strong Rin is. She doesn’t feel the need to hide her magic circuits (since other Masters can detect it) because she wants other Masters to find her instead of her looking around for them hahaha, she’s so cool. Honestly, I’m really enjoying seeing things from Rin’s perspective rather than Shirou’s. Sakura…is talking to Gilgamesh? Honestly though, seeing Rin quite actively help and communicate with Sakura is very nice and refreshing, I always found it weird in the anime that they didn’t even seem like acquaintances imo. Also great to see more insight into Kuzuki’s personality with him cancelling and delaying midterm exams to a later date because of a misspelling in the papers loll. Rin even asks about whether she’s okay considering her home circumstances🥺 I see…I always kinda wondered why Rin never did anything to the boundary field at the school when she knew about it, but I see, she can’t destroy it thoroughly, but she was planning to hinder it by decimating some symbols, until Lancer appeared anyway. A lot of things are much clearer in the VN since it explains things and gives you time to digest it, but there really was much relief that Shirou happened to pass by and stopped Lancer from using his Noble Phantasm and kill them. Although, it doesn’t show that this person is actually Shirou, but you do see that Rin obviously really cares about this person, because she used the pendant (given to her by her father’s will, it was supposed to be a last resort for the war) containing an abundant amount of magical power to save his life. Initially, she was about to just accept his death as something “unlucky” since it’s just the normal process of killing all witnesses and it was unfortunate that she was careless this time (since she always made sure to have no witnesses so she wouldn’t have to kill anyone), but when she saw his face, she couldn’t help but use everything she could to save him. Interesting to see that she forgot about the pendant and left it with him, not that it’s very useful anymore since it doesn’t have much magic in it. Also interesting to know that since she lacked the skills to revive him from near death, the magic power from the pendant helped her in that regard, so I guess that means if you lack skills, you can make up for it with magic power?

Hmm I see, so the reason they always say that Saber is the strongest is because in all the previous wars, Saber has made it to final fight. I’ve always wondered why they always put such high acclaim on Saber when even though she is strong, I wouldn’t call her the “strongest”. Nice to also have it clear that most magic doesn’t work on Saber, Lancer and Archer because they were fighters who fought through the age of myths where magic was used widely, and that’s also why these classes are usually the best. I guess that’s why they’re always focused on Saber compared to the other Servants. Lmaoo, for someone who has no goal in this war besides winning, Rin is really confident and cool to be able to sway Archer in believing in her without even trying haha. Took me a while to figure it out, but I guess the pendant that Archer returned to Rin is actually his own? Does that mean he already knew who he was then and was just hiding it from her? I feel so sorry for Rin though! Imagine if she really got killed by Saber because she went back to save Shirou from Lancer and ended up letting her guard down against the sudden appearance of Saber! I didn’t even realise this part was a prologue, and it even ends on the cliffhanger of Saber intending to kill Rin! Well, anyway since I’ve forgotten a lot of things, it’s great to see things again whilst having some knowledge of other stuff that makes me realise what I missed when I first watched the anime haha. Guess we’re back to Shirou’s perspective then!

Fate route (Day 1-9) It’s so cute to see Sakura wake Shirou up in the morning! So crazy that she got there at 6am though omg, how early does she wake up to prepare breakfast for everyone?! At least Shirou usually tries to wake up early to help out, but wow, club activities start at 7am like dayum. Nice to see that Shirou actually notices Sakura as a girl and feels a bit awkward sometimes because he’s aware of how pretty she is and everything, she is a very good girl after all~ It’s so cute how Shirou admits to being one of Rin’s admirers since she’s so perfect, beautiful and well mannered! Ugh Shinji is SO ANNOYING, always being so insecure for being crappy compared to Shirou and he has to make it seem like he’s SO GREAT, ugh he grinds my gears. I don’t even know why Shirou can even consider him to be a “friend”. Lmao, Shirou is so used to Shinji being full of shit that he just calls it Shinji’s style hahahaha, I guess that’s how it is when you’ve known them for a long time. Lmaoooo at Fuji-nee roaring like a tiger hahahaha. I find it so funny how her whole class calls her by the nickname she hates - Tiger, it’s the only way to bring her back alive when she faints from falling down lmaooo. As usual, Illya is creepy saying that if he doesn’t summon it soon, he’s going to die, and it was at night when no one was around on the road!

I’m glad that there’s more explanations about magic circuits since I’ve been rather confused by them. So basically, the amount of magic circuits in a person is determined at birth, and usually it’s not very much. This is where inheriting magic circuits from generation to generation comes in, and that’s why people like Rin are so powerful in magic I guess, because she’s a descendant of a prominent family of magi. However, these magic circuits can only be inherited through blood relations and that’s why Kiritsugu couldn’t pass his to Shirou, although I’m not sure if he would have even if he could tbh. The good thing though, is that apparently every person has at least one type of magic they’re good at, and that’s why Shirou is good at understanding the structure of things. And now I’m glad to understand the difference between mana and od because mana is magical energy floating around the world, and most magi are able to draw mana and “filter” it through their magic circuits to use as a spell. Since Shirou doesn’t have many, I assume he uses od which is the magic within oneself most of the time and I guess that’s why when he gets Saber, it’s hard for him to give enough magical energy to her since it’s difficult for him to draw any mana with his limited magic circuits? Especially since even when he’s doing his training and fixing stuff, he has to utilise an artificial magic circuit and that’s already dangerous enough to his body if he lacks the concentration… I see, as he said, he is not a magus, he is only a magic user who can create magical energy within his body and channel it into objects hmmm, I like that it’s much clearer in the VN what exactly he can do. Strengthening objects is a cool ability though since it reinforces the object’s abilities by putting magical energy into it~ It’s kinda crazy how the Magic Association only cares about concealing magic from the public and not about whether people are using magic properly, it’s like as long as it doesn’t affect them doing their stuff, they don’t care. I guess it’s because they’re probably doing suspicious magic research themselves imo.

Not sure I like the translation of “seigi no mikata” being superhero, since technically you could be a superhero but not really an ally/protector of justice. Although, I do enjoy more info about Shirou’s motivations here. I guess the fact that Shirou tries to be one is mainly because he wants to become someone like Kiritsugu (since he saved him), so really now that I think about it, Shirou isn’t exactly what you would call a “nice person”, like he’s still nice in various areas etc, but a lot of the reason why he doesn’t mind helping people is because he thinks that as long as he keeps helping people who need him and he has the ability to help them, he will one day become the protector of justice he wants to be. On the other hand, I never realised/remembered that Shinji and Shirou actually had a fight where Shirou beat him up when he asked Shinji about Sakura’s bruises and Shinji had the audacity to say he hits her because he feels like it. What a douchebag. I do feel bad for Shirou that because of that, now Shinji thinks of him more as an enemy now and apparently hurts Sakura more, I feel so sorry for Sakura… It always felt like (in the anime) Shirou left the archery club because of Shinji but it seems like, it was a part of the reason, but not really, since Shirou does want to focus on working for living expenses and because he got a scar from work on his right shoulder and I guess it’s not very proper to have something like that when doing archery since people can see it when they shoot. Or maybe these are all just excuses haha, since Shirou seems to be the best “archer”. It seems that Lancer noticing Shirou’s presence was partly done deliberately so that he could distract him from killing Archer? I mean, Shirou’s sick of not being able to do anything when other people are in danger so that’s understandable..

It’s pretty cute how tsundere Rin is, she obviously wants to tell him about the Holy Grail War and everything because she doesn’t want him to die a meaningless death, but at the same time she can’t bring herself to say it like that, so she tells him she’s doing it because he stopped Saber from killing her. When really, he’s the one who owes her considering how she used that jewel that was left for her in her father’s will to save his life. I don’t know why, but in the anime, Shirou came across as annoying with how he keeps saying girls like Saber shouldn’t fight and how he’ll protect her etc, but in the VN, I think the interaction with Rin thinking it was funny that Shirou was going to protect them from perverts at night (when they went to visit Kotomine at the church) made it sound so silly and cute instead. Well, that bad end where you choose to revoke the command spells and thus your rights as a Master was pretty crappy! Illya literally “kills” Shirou and plans to torture him until he’s really dead! That’s pretty disgustingly ruthless honestly… Lmao at the existence of the Tiger Dojo though! It’s a place where they tell you how you went wrong with your choices to get this bad end and tells you the mindset you should have to get back on track to the proper ending lol. Kinda weird to see Illya act so cute in it when she just killed Shirou though lol. Although, I have to admit that Kirei being able to “take out” Shirou’s command spells was very interesting… Tiger Dojo 2 ending was nice in the sense that you could really see how Rin would sacrifice her life to protect Shirou even when he makes silly choices, it’s really heartwarming to see how much she cares about him tbh. And I guess also “nice” to see how much Illya loves and hates both Kiritsugu and Shirou.

One thing that’s interesting to see in the VN for this fight was Shirou’s intention to save Saber by pushing her away from Berserker’s attack, and hoping to think of his next move after that, rather than him simply shielding Saber. In the end, because he wasn’t fast enough, he ended up taking the hit for Saber, but he had no intention of actually getting hit, he thought he would be able to dodge it. Maybe it was naive of him to think that, but I do enjoy knowing more about his intentions and hopes from this move. I love how Rin teases Shirou when he gets embarrassed at shaking her hand because he realised how soft it was hahahah. Shirou is so cute hahaha! LMAO when he doesn’t count Taiga as someone he’s embarrassed to touch hands with because he considers her as someone from a different planet rather than a girl hahahaha. Ohh? I didn’t really think that how famous each Servant is in the current time actually affected how strong they are as well. I see, so they need to be known and like “worshipped” to solidify their existence and power, I guess that makes sense.

I love Shirou and Saber’s first proper conversation with each other at the dojo. It was really nice to see him have the resolve to fight now that he’s decided to keep with the war, and that he’s just like Saber when it comes to their beliefs and values of protecting the innocent. But I think the best thing about their relationship that I’ve always loved is that Shirou always treats Saber like another fellow “person” rather than a Servant. He’s polite, he’s normal with her and he acts the same as he does with others, and I think that always catches Saber off guard in a good way haha. I also love the professional relationship Archer and Rin have though! But yeah, lmao at Rin just bringing her luggage to Shirou’s place saying she’s living there from now on since they’ve decided to ally with each other. Ohh, I don’t know if I missed it (or I just forgot loll) in the anime but I never realised that Shirou wasn’t giving any magical energy to Saber at all! I thought he gave a little bit! But apparently the summoning might have gone wrong and the connection between them wasn’t connected so she can’t receive anything? No wonder why Saber always has to limit herself and her use, because she’s relying on her own medical energy to stay in this world! Actually, yeah, I think I remember it now lol, my bad! Anyway, gotta love Sakura when she was annoyed that Rin was trying to shoo her out of Shirou’s place when Sakura basically thinks of it as her territory loll. Even funnier when Shirou “forgot” about having to deal with Taiga in regards to Rin living here now lol. Not to mention Saber when she appears later! But Taiga is relatively easy to handle anyway haha. Awww I love how Taiga hates the Tiger nickname but her cup has a tiger on it lmao!

Honestly, although Shirou’s white knighting can get a bit too much, it’s situations like when he decides to introduce Saber to everyone instead of continuing to hide her that really makes me like him. Taiga is so cute though, she has such a soft spot for Shirou that she thinks Saber is taking him away from her since Saber is stronger than her and can protect him better hahaha. Taiga really loves Shirou. Hmmm I see, so the Matou don’t have magic circuits anymore and are really just a family that used to be magi, but still retain knowledge of magic etc. Shinji really just thinks of this whole thing like a game, huh? It was so cute how Rin and Saber glared at Shirou for meeting Shinji by himself haha. Although I can understand Saber’s frustration with Shirou when he always tries to prevent her from fighting etc, it was super reckless of her to go to Ryuudou Temple by herself. I always find Assassin/Sasaki Kojirou to be super cool, because he’s really amazing at having the capability to fend off against Saber with his skill and technique as a samurai. Oh, and seriously, Saber and Shirou should really be thankful to Rin, if it wasn’t for her, the two of them would just be super stubborn in their respective positions and beliefs and be unable to understand the other person. Rin is the best~ loved it when she teased Shirou after he carried Saber back home even though she already knew what happened. But yeah, seriously though, Shirou can get pretty frustrating about how he keeps treating Saber like a girl so she shouldn’t fight etc, like dude, be realistic please, she’s gonna have to fight eventually whether you like it or not, the war isn’t so easy that you can keep her safe.

I guess I’ll always love how proper Shirou is, stuff like properly greeting Saber in the morning even when he’s in a rush and apologising to Rin for forcing her to kick out Sakura when he should have done it for her safety a long time ago is just very nice to see. Sure, Shirou is wishy washy and can be very indecisive and not even know what he himself wants, but he’s such a good guy, it’s hard to really get too annoyed with him. Not sure how I feel about Shirou saying that Ayako getting attacked by a mugger and needing to run away might have been good in a sense to teach her some femininity, like I know he means it in a “good way” but seriously, that’s not important considering what happened! Shirou and Illya eating dorayaki together is such a nice image, especially since Illya never got the chance to experience simple stuff like that stuck in a castle. Lmaoo at Shirou accidentally seeing Saber changing to get into the shower and she’s so whatever about it lol. I always found Archer’s talk with Shirou about it being impossible to save all people much more realistic against Shirou’s ideals, but I think hearing it again when you know who Archer actually is makes it even more saddening and “real” because you know how much Archer personally experienced by believing in and trying to achieve this “ideal”.

Although skipping school is bad, I do enjoy the spars Saber and Shirou have in order to give him battle experience on making the best decision at critical moments. I think it’s the most realistic approach on what they can do to train him against Servants since he obviously doesn’t have the power to really win against them. LOLL at Illya casually saying Sella told her that it wouldn’t be fun to play with Shirou because Illya needs to kill him soon anyway. Like, yep, okay, see ya Illya lol. But I guess it’s kinda cute that even though Sella told her that, Illya herself still decided to wait at the park and see if he would come since she thinks it’s fun being with him, and I guess he feels the same since he bothered to pass by the park. But yeah, it’s pretty saddening how Illya was raised all this time knowing nothing about her parents’ love for her and having to live in the environment where her grandfather raised her as a Master to listen to him and kill anyone in their way to winning the war. Saber getting attached to the baby lion plush she got from Taiga is really cute, I guess since it reminds her of something familiar in her life (when she raised a lion cub for a month), she can’t help but feel soft towards it. On the other hand, lmaoo at Rin punching Shinji and not even caring hahaaha, I can understand why she would, but dang is she ruthless and just making things worse for Shirou by telling him that she’s living with Shirou etc loll. I’m still happy that she punched him though, he totally deserves it. I love how Shirou just listens to Rin and swallows the jewel without even questioning what it is. But it’s nice that it’ll help him keep his Magic Circuit on all the time so he can accustom himself to using magic without having to go through the whole process of risking his life to turn the circuit “on”, definitely more efficient if he can master this! It’s definitely contradictory but amusing how in the end, the best teacher for Shirou probably is Archer lol, since he understands his problems best compared to Rin who is too capable and so doesn’t really understand the problems of an ordinary person learning magic lol.

I’m not surprised Shirou met up with Shinji at school and ended up getting caught in his activation of the boundary field, but dang did I like how decisive Shirou was the whole time during battle. He understood he couldn’t fend off against Rider, and he wasn’t shocked too much by the kick from Rider and was able to use a command spell to get Saber to help him. I also liked how he really was ready to kill Shinji if he really had to in order to stop the boundary field (that could have melted all the people in it). Shinji is such a shit though, I was so mad when I heard him talk about kicking Taiga when she told him to call the ambulance when he activated the boundary field. So glad Shirou thrashed him even if he got away in the end. Btw I love the Tiger Dojo segments, they’re hilarious hahaha. Although it was reckless of Shirou to go by himself, it’s good that the experience ended up making him realise he needs to fight alongside Saber and not prevent her from fighting. I thought it was really cute how Saber and Shirou finally came to a better compromise and shook hands, but then Rin appeared and they got all embarrassed haha. But the cutest thing was when Saber was so concerned about wanting the same casual clothes (since they were destroyed) and asked Rin for another set just because Shirou said it looked good on her before.

Overall, most of the stuff for now is pretty similar to the anime so it’s more of a refresh for me with added details. As usual, Rin is really the highlight for me though haha.

Ragna in the other BBTAG worlds

I asked a while ago for ideas as to where Ragna could end up post-CF as his “retirement” world, I’ve gotten like 3 suggestions; Bleach (mainly to pair him with Kukaku Shiba, but given everything else happening in that world he’ll have no chill there), Animal Crossing, and Mario Galaxy (on the Comet Observatory with Rosalina and the Lumas)

but today, I want to take a look at how he’d fare living in the worlds presented to us in BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle. Just for the hell of it:

Persona: if Ragna were to end up living in the Persona world thing might be difficult at first, he grew up in the middle of nowhere and the woods and lived in a post-apocalyptic dystopian future, so there will be a bit of a culture shock. But if Akihiko can run around shirtless then this world will be fine with someone like Ragna. I think he might end up working with the Shadow Operatives, hey he was raised to fight so may as well put his supernatural power and fighting ability to use against the Shadows right? I mean the Kirijo group managed to make an identity for Aigis when she attended Gekkoukan High in P3, so they could make Ragna have an identity. Since the dude has Son Goku levels of education I ‘d find it funny if Mitsuru put his ass through some kind of education program or something. I mean it is never too late to get an education and I’m sure there are many real-life examples of people who couldn’t go to school for some reason or another. Also, I’ve said this before, Ragna might give of serious “Shinjiro” vibes to the Shadow Operatives, so they might be able to navigate his personality a bit better. Mitsuru can be the cool-headed one w/o being a bitch like Rachel, Akihiko would make a good sparring partner, he’ll treat Aigis and Labrys right since he treats the Murakumos like people, Yukari is pretty normal compared to most of them and can also get annoyed by their antics so Ragna might like her (he enjoys the company of average/normal people since they aren’t too zany for his tastes), Ken is pretty mature for his age, but Junpei might get on his nerves. But also, if Ragna enters around P4 Arena time, then if he stays there a few years he could be present for the Persona 5 story, and THAT would be a fun setting to play in with Ragna.

Under Night In-Birth: it being a modern world won’t be too much of an issue, like with Persona there’ll be some culture shock but lots of the people there are also kind of weirdoes. If he ends up with the main good guys (Hyde, Linne, Waldstein, and Vatista) we can just add another guy bumming around Hyde’s house. Helping train Hyde, spar with Wald, cook for Linne (give her actual good food and she’ll be worshiping you I bet), and Vatista May remind him of Lambda so he’d be chill around her. But another idea could be him being a mercenary like Gordeau, like maybe the two becoming friendly rivals or something (I just liked how chill he was with Ragna in BBTAG’s story oka, sue me). Also, I could totally see Hilda trying to recruit Ragna into Amnesia because she hears about him being the SS-Class criminal trying to take down the keepers of the order of his world, much like how she is trying to do to Licht Kreis, she tries to get a little flirty with him, but Ragna declines b/c 1. When he was taking on the N.O.L. he was doing it for revenge, Hilda is just doing it for shits and giggles (10 points to whoever gets that reference), 2. Ragna can totally sense danger coming to from this chick, and 3. the dude is at least smart enough not to stick his dick in crazy. He and Merkava would have an interesting conversation, Merkava being a beast with a man within, and Ragna being a man with a beast within.

RWBY: Okay this might depend on where in the timeline he’s put (Pre-Volume 3 like in BBTAG, or Pre-Volume 6 like what I’ve been thinking of), but let’s stick with the Beacon arc-like in BBTAG. The current state of the world is: Cinder and her team are in disguise as Haven students, Roman is arrested, everyone thinks the threat is gone and that the Breach was the big plan, but the Ozluminati know better and are just trying to keep the peace. Ragna is a very aggressive person and easily angered, not a good thing when dealing with Grimm, which are attracted to negative emotions. Also, may I remind you that the Grimm have no souls, and thus are immune to Ragna's Soul Eater power drive which is partially what has allowed him to be such a dangerous threat in his world. In fact, his power is WAY more suitable for fighting people, considering the Huntsmen and Huntresses powers come from their Aura which comes from their soul. Like, he just grabs them and watches that Aura meter just drop FAST. Also, I’m not sure if he’d even be able to gain Aura and a Semblance himself with the Azure Grimoire also fucking his soul up. Ironwood might just say to kill/imprison this guy before he becomes a threat while Ozpin might try and be a bit more diplomatic if he at least hears about his nicer exploits (maybe from Ruby). And no, I do not know how his Soul Eater power could be used on the Maiden Powers or Ozpin’s reincarnating soul. MAYBE it could be used to kill Salem by consuming HER immortal soul instead of just physically killing her, but I do not know if it could be used to rip the Maiden Powers out of their hosts. He and Qrow might talk about their shitty lives but when Qrow offers him a drink Ragna declines b.c Ragna’s Azure Grimoire healing factor also works on toxins (seen in the Variable Heart manga where he shrugs of Shiori’s poison), also I think Ragna views Alchohol as a bitch’s way of dealing with problems. A fight between him and Raven would be interesting also, like them giving each other lectures about family: Ragna giving Raven shit for abandoning Yang (who I assume he might bond with), while Raven says that he has no right to talk about family considering the state of HIS.

There’s probably a lot more that could happen but I can’t think of anything else atm.

I’ll be skipping Arcana Heart since A. I barely know jack fuck about that series (the second game isn't even localized), B. the main powerset in that game seems to only go to girls, which leads to C. there are NO male characters, not even side NPCs, so Ragna would stick out WAY too much.

Senran Kagura: Much like Arcana Heart I don’t know much but I looked through character descriptions and some basic plot summaries here and there (mostly from TVTropes so please forgive me if I fuck something up, which I will) , so I at least get the BASIC gist of things going on. The only place I could think of Ragna going is him looking after or palling around with the Homura Crimson Squad. He isn’t one to join some big organization (the Good Ninja side won’t accept him after his MASSIVE body count in his world, and the Hebijo guys are way too intense), and depending on the timeline he could either help protect the Crimson Squad from the Hebijo team out to kill them for deserting, or he also likes to be independent and train/fight his own way. He could help Homura train for her next fight with her rival Asuka (plus she’ll be a fan of his meat cooking). He might try to get Yomi to add some more variety to her food instead of bean sprouts (cue fight). Hikage might freak him out since she looks like almost a female Hazama/Terumi, but she also struggles with socializing and likes to cook for her friends so after the initial awkwardness they might get along. Mirai hates being ignored so this might cause some annoyance to Ragna, but she’s also a bully victim. I could see him being annoyed by her but then later sees her getting picked on and his big-brother instinct kicks in and he helps, then they gain a sort of understanding. Haruka is the real beast here, the dominatrix sadist scientist who wants to make people her dolls, so Ragna might need to step up a bit to keep her under control (like I said I only know the bare minimum, she might not actually be that bad post-character development but I don’t know). Finally, just for the sake of it, I’m not too sure where on the power scale Ragna would fall in the SK universe. The most powerful person there is Sayuri/Jasmine, with I think Rin and Daidōji both sharing the second strongest spot. I’ll say Ragna is around Daidōji and Rin’s level because Sayuri/Jasmine would most likely be like Jubei level. Also because the power scaling in Blazblue is absurd so comparing the Shinobi (of whom only a few have unique powers) to the Blazblue cast (who have magical weapons and reality-fucking powers) is kind of unfair, plus it gives Ragna a sort of cap so he won’t be too unstoppable in this world. Finally, not too keen on shipping. I’ve been using the “half your age plus seven” rule of dating so to not make things weird, Ragna is 22 in my HC and the minimum age is 18 (lots of people say once your over 18 you can date whoever you want that’s older, but........no), but while a few girls in SK are 18 they are still in high school (the birthdays and ages don’t match up with their school years, and that angers me) so.....no, he just has a big brother instinct for the Crimson Squad.

I’ll also skip Akatsuki Blitzkampf b/c A. Like Arcana Heart above I barely know the story, and B. What little I have seen of the story isn’t.......much. Story Isn’t exactly a big factor in this series.

Lemme know what you guys think Ragna would get up to in these other worlds. I might add to this if another series is added to BBTAG.

when I started shipping it if I did:

I think I started to lowkey ship it early in season 1, since back then it was obvious that Yuya, Yuzu and Reiji shared the focus, I thought that it would happen eventually, and I entertained the thought on how their simmilalry opposite personalities would clash and eventually get along (this was before Reiji’s hidden depths where shown lol)

It fell in the backburner the more things started to happen and I started again in the final year of airing thanks to @timahina who made me remember why I love shipping Reiji with lots of people :P

my thoughts:

What I think about them? Is that after all this time I still think they should have met formarly in the series (although they did informarly delivered together a burn to Roger) because both are very proactive people just that they take different approaches and it would have been interesting to see them interact.

As a ship, this is almost exclusively a ship intended for fluff and putting them both in awkward as hell situations because according to Tima I’m evil it’s very fun to come up with them and because pairing up a person whose personality is best described as rainclud with a walking sunshine has always been my weakness.

What makes me happy about them:

The idea that since the whole war stuff is over now, Reiji can finally experience stuff that he missed because of his life circunstances, like friendships and dating, and that Yuzu being the lovely person she is, is very aware of this and makes an effort to include him, and also appreciates to have someone around with their feet on the ground so she’s no longer the only sane girl on the main team.

On a meta level, the fact that at the beggining it seemed only Tima, Mandy and I shipped it, but now everytime someone brings it up I see more people and content made for them, it’s still a rarepair but now we got more people roped into it

What makes me sad about them:

Reiji like in general is very depressing when looked from the outside and I think he’s aware of it, so many times he fears that once people learn the truth about him they approach him out of pity rather than actual desire of hanging out, which is why he holds himself back so much when it comes to affection, which may put a burden in the people around him to always be the ones who start the apparach and make them think he doesn’t care, an emotionally open person like Yuzu could feel overwhelmed by it too.

(On the meta sense? That they never met!)

things done in fanfic that annoys me:

Man, there’s little to no fanfic made for them, but theoretically if I ever get to read a fic where Reiji is the cool, mysterious dude and Yuzu is the sweet-hearted naivette; I ain’t gonna buy that, because in my head she would always take the initiative, in pretty much everything.

things I look for in fanfic:

I look for fanfic in general lol

i’m so thirsty that as long as is not horribly ooc (like I stated above) I’ll take anything

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other:

They can enter a true threesome with Yuya! Lol, but failing that Yuzu and Yuya are perfect for each other and Reiji ships it and he can be with Serena or Rin, the same scenario is Reiji and Yuya get together and Yuzu can be with Masumi.

My happily ever after for them:

That they both awknowlodge their feelings for each other and start dating seriously, Reiji takes proper care of the LDS but not in a workhalic way like before and Yuzu becomes a Pro Duelist in entertainement and both supporting each other in full.

who is the big spoon/little spoon:

I think Reiji is the little spoon, even if he’s taller (anyway if Ray is any indicative Yuzu won’t be that short always) he’s still not the one who initiates contact without prompting and if he does is very rare.

He also likes to be taken care off, but will seldomly admit it :P

DAI IN THE YAKUZA AU BABY WHO HURT YOU

JKBFDGJKDFG I seriously love how people are noticing how Dai is in the Yakuza AU because in terms of personality, he probably changed the most… Also a lot of people hurt Dai being real… but because this seems like it’s also wanting reasoning and history…

Have a little character analysis of Dai in the Yakuza AU, aka Death!!

[Also yes, haracter analysis exists in my aus based on their lines okay jgkdfbg I worked hard gkjfdbg I know it’s long but I hope you like the answer!!]

“Aroon… Aroon… Kaoru… Masae…” A ginger was shaking Kaoru, who had his eyes dull. “She… She’s…”

“Dai… I know.”

“Fuck! Fuck!” There were several punches that could be heard, and he only punched the wall harder. “My mother may have died, but God shouldn’t be cruel enough to get Masae too!” He yelled before curling up to a ball. “Her family… Murdered… In such a humiliating way…”

This scene was inside The Risks part 1!! Also yes, this is when his eyes started to get dull. It also shows that he may not handle people close to him dying [Ironic, because his name is death]

“We’re breaking this gang.”

“What do you mean-”

“You make your own gang, I make mine.” He slowly stands up, but his hands were clutched tightly. “… We’ll need to work faster.”

“Kaoru…”

“We have to eliminate them. We’ll kill them. We’ll be the leaders of our own gang, and get revenge…”

“Is this for her?”

“Yes.”

“You already know my answer…”

They’d do anything for her.

This one as also seen in Part 1, and we get to see what Kaoru says and he mentions killing, revenge and stuff like that… The fact the was what Kaoru said and also mentions the reason of breaking the gang, those reasons were stuck in his head… and he followed it completely. Also how Dai is now? Kaoru doesn’t speak up against him a lot because he thinks it’s his fault about how violent he is now [So Kaoru has a lot of regrets he has but never voices out, not even his gang members know. Eizan and Kuga get to know at one point when they drink together, but if someone wants a character analysis of Kaoru, it will be on a different part]

“A must? Really? Yeah sure, whatever. Just be sure they’re not going to do anything against me… or else…” He paused for a moment, and if Isshiki was able to see him right now, he might have one single drip of sweat crawl down his face. It wasn’t a sight to smile at. A normal person would have backed away, especially if he had his favorite knife at hand. “They’ll pay.” Suddenly, someone was close to Eizan’s face, a knife directly at his neck and a gun thrown down to the ground. “This is my house. Respect me, fucker.”

Also there are moments like this from Missing Pieces which… really show his complex with people going by his rules. Those rules are pretty much because of how he hates traitors [alright but you saw a glimpse of the Milas family there, and that actually lowkey mirrors why Dai hates traitors] and then liars because- well, he hates them because there were too much people who lied to him before.

He normally doesn’t have a big complex when people don’t respect him, it only happens if you’re in HIS area. That’s why Eizan and Kuga couldn’t react too well because they’re not used to this complete change since they haven’t seen him for 1-2 years by now… And they actually never knew about how much he demands for respect when you’re in his place because normally, he’d be in Kaoru’s house and just be drinking or playing cards… or matchmaking because… yeah.

Eizan didn’t want to respond to the male, but Kuga had the biggest grin on his face. “Grim Reaper, she’s engaged to Greedy Shit over here!”

“We’re coming in some seconds, Grim Reaper!”

By the way, I would like to point out that Kuga was being all friendly to Dai, and Dai normally responded with fun. This shows he may have a good relationship with Kuga, but not Eizan and that’s because of the Eizans reputation of being liars [but that also branches to another story] but it does improve, and he doesn’t hate him since he knows him better- but their relationship isn’t too great yet.

And the reason behind it is because the fall of events in Dai’s life in this AU, and this shows a lot of things hurt him

1.) His joined the Yakuza at first for the money, so he could save the life of his mother. He used to work alone too.2.) He failed that, and his mother ends up dying. He was told that she was going to be saved as long as the right amount of money is given to them, and they lied.3.) He still continues in the life because he has accepted the fact that’s his way of living now.4.) He joins Kaoru’s gang at first, and this was when he felt pretty warm again, and at one point, he always saw the family of Masae back when they were dating- so he now had a new family but then…5.) Masae’s parents died, and they were basically his second family at this point. [Also Kaoru considered them as second family too]6.) Once he knew who did that to her family, he gets really screwed over, I can even say that he has a lot of trust issues after7.) He starts his own gang to catch the person faster- Kaoru focused on creating his team with people he trusts [As you can see, he’s close with all the members of his team] and Dai bases his decisions on power and benefit, money is also a factor and success.

The turn of events really broke his character a lot, and this made him change over time of feeling a lot of things going down in his life. Also, it takes a lot of time before he actually trusts you. He only has a soft spot for certain gang members, and these are Kaoru, Masae, Emile, Tetsuji, Hanako, Christelle, Rin, The group of Clovers and Bull’s Eye and a couple of more people.

The main reason is because he met them before everything went downhill, and he trusts them. Even if he may seem like he’d threat them, he wouldn’t really hurt them.

He doesn’t have a weak spot for Eizan though because they didn’t have the best meetings [but he always guessed the type of girl he’d probably like okay… you don’t need to like a person to matchmake them] and he has no weak spot for Kuga because… honestly, why would he? He’s so prideful and all, so he doesn’t think he needs it?

He also gains a weak spot for the rest of his members, but trust me- it took time as well.

The reason why he’s so wary of Nene is because he’s well informed she’s new about this whole Yakuza life, and he doesn’t want anything bad to happen on his side and he has 0 trust in her at first. [She could literally report their location, and they can be caught] However, after a month or two, he learns to trust her more.

This is because Nene’s fear of him dies down, while his feelings of wariness for her dies down as time progresses.

It’s also something like “If you can survive with me, then I guess I believe that I can trust you.” kind of thing for him.

More weeks later, he ends up smiling sincerely around the whole gang and don’t let the murderer fool you, as soon as you bring up ships, he’s so down to talk about them. I like thinking him and Rin [@polar-stars‘ oc!!] sometimes sit down and talk about ships even in this au. But this is only when they’re by themselves or around people they trust.

Then there’s him around Emile [@polar-star-dorks‘ oc] and he’s actually really protective over him, and if Emile talked to him, he’d also probably listen but still act like the bad vibe he gives, but it dies down a bit gjkdfbg But on free time, he’d actually really want him to play his guitar.

Dai doesn’t really act like his whole Yakuza self because he actually separates personal life and business really well!!

Also until now, he easily flusters, don’t let him trick you for that one as well because just compliment his skill with the knife, he’s going to go red and probably bring it out because he’d believe you’re bringing his guard down.

Also out of topic but he always brings confetti with him. No one knows why.

What stays from the canon universe?

He’s a hardcore shipper of EtsuNe in this au… LIKE A VERY BIG ONE. It only later on reveals when he’s chill with Nene and he fucking pushes Eizan a lot to her says “Now kiss, fuckers.”

Also he also ships HanaRu with his whole lot and wonders when Kaoru will confess, because god, he was shipping them ever since high school and nothing is happening!! Kaoru, in a nutshell, hs liked Hanako [@polar-stars‘ oc!!] for a long time now as well.

Also TeruSae. Surprisingly, he’s less strict than Kaoru but he has to promise him that he’ll do a better than job than him since he let every fucked up thing happen to Masae and he couldn’t stop a thing.

Just give him more time, and he’s going to be a softie, trust me! Just get through the 1.) scary phase 2.) quiet phase and you’d be good kjgbdfg [one month each, but if you talk to him more, it can lessen so jkgfdbg]

misc. notes about Piano For Beginners

Here are some fun facts and thoughts about PFB now that I’ve finally wrapped it up. It’s probably not too interesting but is the first long-form fic I’ve ever written to completion and someday I wanna look back and be like “damn... that happened.” So here we go!

The idea for PFB was conceived when I was reading an article about Ryan Gosling learning how to play piano for movie musical La La Land. I thought, “Wow, he must have had to spend a lot of time with his piano teacher,” and well... it took off from there. Nico’s suggestion to watch the movie in ch. 5 Nocturne was a nod to that.

Originally there was going to be a whole subplot where Tsubasa (dating/basically married to Honoka) was a minor villain who purposely got in the way of Nico and Maki’s relationship because she didn’t want the movie to flop. Yes, I know. Stupid. As if Nico and Maki need extra assistance to generate misunderstandings between them.

I didn’t realize how important the song Maki wrote was gonna be until three chapters in so if you thought I didn’t do a good job foreshadowing enough in the beginning well... Now you know why.

While I had the idea for ch. 4: Rondo in the back of my head early on, I didn’t actually ever plan on writing it and tucked it away until I was knee-deep in Nocturne and realized I needed another chapter to advance Nico and Maki’s relationship enough. Thankfully, the thought of “I’d love to write a chapter called Rondo that alternates between Nico’s and Maki’s points of view, just to spice things up!” came back to me and I was able to kind of make it work... Hopefully it didn’t feel like too much of a cop-out, haha!

Until about five minutes before I published it, I had no idea what I was going to call the fic. To this day, it’s still titled “Piano thing” in my Google docs.

I wrote about 90% of it in my free time at work. I’m sorry, co-workers.

I specifically didn’t put any oral sex in Nocturne so I could put it in Rhapsody without being repetitive. Sorry, not sorry.

Except for Rondo, all parts of this fic were written in sequence.

I never actually developed a full plot for the fictional film that Nico is starring in, but please picture a mix of Your Lie in April, La La Land, and the Taiwanese film You Are the Apple of my Eye (那些年,我们一起追的女孩)

In case you missed it, here are all the roles of the other u’s members. Hanayo: OL, Maki’s long-time friend, dating Rin. Rin: kindergarten teacher, Maki’s long-time friend, dating Hanayo. Honoka: movie director, Maki’s college friend. Nozomi: movie star agent, Nico’s best friend. Kotori: Honoka’s assistant. Umi: the movie’s scriptwriter. Eli: marketing director.

That’s all I can think of right now!

Honestly, while I’m super proud to have made it all the way through, I can’t say that I’m completely satisfied with my work. I think by the end, my writing had gotten so much better than when I started, which just kind of makes me wish I could rewrite the whole beginning. Because I’m not very smart and didn’t work out all the details coherently, I spent a lot of time writing myself out of holes that I had dug myself. I also couldn’t expand on certain aspects as much as I wanted to - Nozomi and Eli’s relationship, for example. Why the hell did I make her director of marketing??? She should’ve been director of photography, that would’ve made her so much more a part of the story!!!! Ah well, missed opportunities. And there’s nothing I can do except be better next time.

Thank you Love Live for giving me the greatest ship in the history of the world. NicoMaki is probably the only pairing I would ever do anything like this for. They are so perfect for each other. I love them so much, and despite some regrets I’m glad that I was able to write this for them.

yes, mako knows haru well, but it's also true that he is good at reading people in general, not just haru. of course, haru is the person he can read most of all, but makoto can also read others.

wooooow that little part with haru taking off his swimcap and shaking his head as sparkling drops of water fall around him was one of the most magical moments of my life and i will cherish it forever.

"don't tell him that." makoto should totally tell him that. =P

i literally laughed out loud at the timing of haru (and rin) walking into the room. haru, you should have come in just a little bit earlier and then you would have heard what was just said about you that you weren't supposed to hear!! lol!!!

aaaaaaand here comes the iwatobi crew. this will be fun!!! =D

ummm okay, that's it. the episode's over... i am sad because that was a fun episode to watch. i really liked it, and that's because this episode had a lot of makoto in it, so of course i'm going to like that. XD and i just loved seeing makoto discover some of his own strengths. he even figured out his new dream at the end. he's just so special!!!! he is someone who has a positive impact on other people around him, and that is so clearly seen. it makes a lot of sense that he wants to be a trainer. he knows how to bring out the potential in others, because he can understand their feelings and figure out the best way to challenge them and encourage them.

oh, and... as of now, it is a real, true, canon fact that makoto is good at massages, which is yet another thing that makes him more perfect. <333333 this is really important to me. no seriously, this is something that matters to me a lot. this is like if the writers had thought, "hmm. what can we make makoto do that would be the #1 most amazing wonderful thing that sachi-pon would love???" it's like they read my mind and are trying to appeal specifically to me!!! ^___^ this is exactly what i would have thought of... uh... i mean... already thought of. okay, i thought about this a long time ago. >///////< but now this has gone beyond my fangirl fantasy and is a real thing that exists in the actual show. XDDDD hooray!!!!!! *waves pom-poms like a cheerleader* now all i need is a scene of makoto using his massage skills on you-know-who, and i'll be fine. ^__^

yes, i do have a problem with being too addicted to makoto. no, i do not intend to see a doctor. i intend to live with this problem forever. <3

wait... were there other people in this episode too? i forgot about everyone else besides makoto. uh, oh yeah. there was haru. he was so sad after the loss, but i think he's starting to feel better now, so that's good. i was getting worried when he wasn't texting makoto. =( don't do that anymore, haru!!! ;__;

also, there was rin, and later, makoto, finding out about sousuke's surgery. both of them had such excited reactions!!! and yes, rin, you cried, admit it!!! (haha) but yeah, it just shows how much those two care about sousuke. i loved those moments!!!

i am so happy for the big reunion in the next episode. i think it's going to be a little crazy, but definitely a lot of fun!! and of course, rin and haru's big showdown. who will win?!?!?!? also, what about the mysterious alien god????? how can anyone defeat him? the only way to defeat him is for haru to... TURN INTO A MERMAN!!!!!!!!!! (yes, i am still talking about merman throughout this whole season)

Mod Mew Reads! “Don’t Trust Anyone, Not Even Yourself” (PART ONE)

Hihi, guys, and welcome back to Mod Mew Reads! And it only took eight months! Today, we’re gonna be reading something special. It’s gonna be big, it’s gonna be huge, and it’s gonna be personal. Why? Because today, we’re looking at the first three chapters of a fanfiction.

A fanfiction that I wrote.

That’s right! Today we’re looking at Chapters 1 and 2 of Forbidden Magnetism, my GakuKai fanfiction I wrote three years ago! Is it as bad as I’m making it out to be? Well, let’s not stall any longer. Let’s dive in HEAD FIRST!

Kaito and Gakupo both have new girlfriends, they both love them so much. However, when they meet each other in a practice studio, an attraction that shouldn't be forms between the two. How long can this magnetism last before they are caught? Rated M for later chapters containing smut. Yaoi, boy on boy, KaitoxGakupo. UPDATED FROM MY TUMBLR WITH CORRECT SPELLING.

For a little context, I based this entire fanfic off of this video. The video is five years old and the creator has not updated in three years, but just watching it brings back memories. Hot tip for high school me; don’t make a name for yourself critiquing fanfic and then write a shitty one yourself. Anyways, enough stalling.

Fate is a bitch.

I still think this is my best opening line of anything ever.

This is the conclusion Gakupo came to after the events that happened. First, he had finally asked Luka out, and, to his suprise, said yes.

Oi, past me, have you heard of this hot new tool called SpellCheck? “Surprise” still gives me trouble, but good lord.

However, he couldn't kiss her, not at the school. Luka had told him her best friend, Miku, also got a boyfriend not too long ago. He had decided to stay after in the school's expansive practice school, to write her a song.

Why was fate a bitch?

Because as soon as he stepped in, his eyes fell on a beautiful person.

He knew immediately who the person was. It was Kaito. He was part of the 'Big Five', the most popular kids at the high school. The most popular of them all was Kaito's new girlfriend, Hatsune Miku. If you were associated with them in any way, you were considered 'popular', or at the very least, 'known'.

The ‘Big Five’ in my mind were Miku, Luka, Rin, Len, and Gumi, if I’m remembering correctly.

Kaito was 16, but he looked around 20. He was tall, with dark blue hair. He always wore his scarf, no matter what.

OH YEAH I FORGOT I MADE THE CHARACTERS TEENS. Spoilers, but they have sex in later chapters, so I wrote underage smut when I myself was underage. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay.

I know age of consent laws are very iffy, and the AoC in my state is 16 years old, but to me the AoC always will be 18.

He was beautiful.

And staring right at Gakupo.

The events that followed were a blur in his mind. He remembered walking towards Kaito, and the next thing they knew, they were kissing furiously, unable to stop.

Fun fact, the inspiration for this scene was a seen in Brokeback Mountain.

What had lead up to this?

Well, first off a thirsty 15 year old girl who had an unfortunate habit of fetishizing gay men, but that’s a story for another day.

Gakupo remembered talking to him, remembered him being asked to practice a duet with Kaito that he was going to do with Miku. His memory fogs up, then clears up around the time he hit the wall while making out with Kaito. They didn't want to break the contact, not even to breath, as of they feared that if they did, they could never kiss each other again. Their tongues were fighting for dominance, but it was becoming painfully clear that Gakupo was the dominate one.

The tall one isn’t always the dominate one open up your eyes sheeple.

Finally, the need for air overpowered their want for each other.

There’s this funny little thing called your nose, try breathing through that.

They broke apart, gasping for air. Gakupo could feel that just the kissing had made them both half hard. He wanted to continue, so badly. However, the sudden realizations that both of them had girlfriends hit him like a bullet train.

YEAH NO SHIT ASSHOLE!!

He pushed himself off of Kaito, and, without another word, left the studio.

What school has a professional recording studio? All I had at my high school was a shitty photo room we used as a storage closet.

If the two boys had been smarter, that meeting would have been just a little fling, and nothing more.

YOU STILL CHEATED ON YOUR GIRLFRIENDS YOU FUCKSUCKS!

However, nobody could even begin to guess how far out of control this situation would get. And it all started thanks to a magnetism that shouldn't have been felt.

It had been a couple of days since their 'meeting', and both boys had become a bit restless, unable to shake the memory of each other out of their minds. They couldn't really see each other during the day, and they felt as if they were slowly going insane. They hoped their girlfriends didn't notice.

They did.

Oh, they noticed that you two fucking CHEATED ON THEM huh?!

Luka decided to keep silent about the situation, and not inquire Gakupo. After all, if the problem was truly bothering him, he would've told her by now. She chalked it up to nerves.

Kids, if you’re having relationship troubles, just talk it out with the person, it’ll be so much better in the long run.

Miku, on the other hand, was the talkative type.

Speakin of which, if this goes up on time, happy 10th birthday, Miku!

She expressed her emotions through many words. Including her concern over Kaito.

"What's wrong, sweetheart?" Miku asked one day between classes. She needed to know. Otherwise, it would drive her nuts trying to figure it out for herself.

Kaito smiled sweetly at her. "It's nothing, Miku," he lied. He was a performer. He could fake any emotion at the drop of a hat. And no one could see he was faking.

No one, that is, except Miku.

I want to re-write this but like, not have the guys cheat on the girls??? Polyamory, it’s a thing.

"Don't lie to me, Kaito," Miku said sternly. "I won't be mad. I promise." Her puppy dog eyes seem to be staring right into Kaito's soul.

No, trust me, you’ll be pissed.

"I'm just nervous. You're my first real girlfriend. I don't want to mess this up."

I actually ship KaiMeiko more so LMAO @ past me.

Miku grinned. "Was that all? Well, that's a relief! I thought it was something seriously bad. I'll try not to make you nervous."

Kaito was relieved that she believed him. There were truth to his words; Miku was his first girlfriend, and he didn't want to screw up too badly. However, in his mind, making out with your girlfriend's best friend's boyfriend (try saying that three times) qualified as 'screwing up', and was in the subcategory of 'screwing up pretty damn badly'.

JESUS YOU FUCKIN THINK!!!

The warning bell rang, and Miku gave him a quick kiss goodbye, before rushing to her classroom.

Kaito always felt a spark when he kissed Miku. He always felt like it was right, like she was the one.

But no matter how hard he tried to deny it, he had felt that same spark during that meeting with Gakupo.

See, this is something that I liked; Kaito having feelings for both Miku and Gakupo was super interesting to me, and I want to expand on it one day, but maybe in a format that’s... well, less shit.

Also, looking back, this might’ve been me working through the fact that I’m bisexual...

Because of their concern, the girl decided a double date would set everyone at ease. They planned it out, and didn't tell the boys about it until the day of. The boys didn't have any choice but to say yes.

For the girl, the date went just as planned. The park they chose was close enough so everyone could walk there and back, yet secluded enough for them to enjoy the day in peace. They had a nice day, and things felt right.

For the boys, it was a totally different story. Every time they saw the other's girlfriend kiss them, they wanted to say "No, he's mine." But they knew they couldn't. It was as if the girls were trying to make them envious. Envious of a love that they wanted to share with each other.

After the date had ended, and both girl went home, the boys arrived at Gakupo's house. They decided to make a promise: whenever they could, they would meet up at one of their houses, and leave when dawn came around. No one would know except them. It was the perfect plan. As soon as they agreed, they began kissing.

Hey past me, if you actually took time to develop scenes instead of acting like you’re Sonic The Hedgehog and speeding through them, maybe your writing wouldn’t be as shit.

Of course, anyone with half of a brain could see this promise was idiotic and flawed in so many ways.

No, really? I can’t see how cheating on your s/o with their best friend’s s/o is a bad idea, not at all!

fate/stay night (vn) - ren’s review

welp, i’ve been inactive these past few days bcos i’ve been picking up fate/stay night vn since last week. i guess it’s about time i review it before I forget everything.

also, it’s been sometime since i last reviewed stuff.

ps: there’s spoilers inside so proceed with caution.

i finished saber’s route in just a week, rin’s route in 3 days and sakura’s route today and boy, it feels so satisfying. tbh i’ve never finished a visual novel game this fast but hey, i did it (as i procrastinated over printing my portfolio, ren pls print that damn thing tomorrow).

anyways, that being said. i know i used to believe that fate/stay night has a cruddy story just bcos it was originally an eroge but damn, the moment i watched the UBW anime by ufotable, I was completely wrong. i fell head over heels with this series and out of nowhere, i decided to pick up the visual novels just to experience the full story, and even picked up fate/grand order just to get used with nasu’s storytelling. welp, i must say, I’m impressed. also, i think most of you know this but fate is somehow inspired from evangelion and utena, and the writer, kinoko nasu is a big fan of the two series.

also, just to let ya know, i’m playing the game in this way, fate and heaven’s feel in realta nua version, while UBW, i played them uncensored bcos i’m interested in how my otp played the lovey-dovey scenes out in canon :^) (you know who i do i ship if you’ve been following me all this time haha)

speaking of the story, i’d say, i enjoy heaven’s feel the most (if not why does it take me a day to finish this route, tho i skipped thru the first 7 days bcos i’ve gone thru it and got into one of the bad endings).

fate route is ok tho but i didn’t really like unlimited blade works story-wise. seriously, shirou’s ideals are just too stupid for me.

the romancing part, well, i couldn’t agree more but heck yes, i live for rin and shirou. they’re a dorky pair, hands-down. also, without these two dorks, type-moon will never design gudao and gudako after them.

i could only see saber and shirou like aigis and makoto/minato’s relationship from persona 3, while sakura and shirou, i couldn’t really see much as a couple but i’m really glad bcos of this, rin gets a happy end with sakura (as [spoiler alert] siblings)

alright, now i wanna talk about my opinions on the casts so here is it.

shirou is a good boy, though he can be stupid and reckless sometimes, he’s still a good boy. with rin by his side, i just don’t want him to end up becoming a broken man like archer emiya.

rin. I LOVE HER. she’s cool, badass, pretty and cute. AND A TOTAL DORK. i’d jump off the cliff to get her nendo and figma, alongside with shirou’s. also, she’s very cute when she sings; bless her seiyuu, kana ueda.

saber’s a good servant. she’s badass when fighting but she can be wholesome outside battles, especially on the daily life scenes with taiga and sakura and in UBW’s dating scene. but i’m kinda sad that she died early in heaven’s feel and ended up becoming saber alter and killed by her previous master in the end T_T

sakura, well, uhh I WANT TO PROTECC HER SMILE. she’s good and all too, but somehow when she reveals her dark side, she reminds me of akechi from persona 5 tho, idk why. (my head is still processing lots of stuff rn so i couldn’t really say why)

shinji, ugh, this charming jerk. HE DOESN’T DESERVE TO BE ALIVE. when i first watch the UBW anime i’m kinda neutral towards him but at that scene where he almost did it to rin i wanna kick him in the balls. HE DESERVE TO DIE. thankfully he did. in saber and sakura’s route. i don’t get why this jerk is even shirou’s close friend but thanks to him, shirou knows her. he’s the second character voiced by kamiya hiroshi that i hate (the first one being izaya from drrr)

kirei. ahh the fake priest. he’s a jerk tho, that’s why he’s cool as a villain. ‘nuff said. YOROKOBE will not get out of my head. jouji nakata’s voice will never get out of my head. (fun fact, his seiyuu also voiced as the monk in houseki no kuni)

lancer. he might be a jerk at first, but i really like his role in UBW and heaven’s feel tho, although he’s really short-lived in the latter route thanks to true assassin.

rider. i must admit, she’s cool. tho she wasn’t that much of use in fate and UBW, i really like her role in heaven’s feel. that sister quality in her is A++

archer. he’s cool as a servant, but he can be a jerk. idk why did he give me godot from ace attorney vibes.

gilgamesh. seeing him just gets me that ‘BEGONE THOT’ screamed into my face. he’s a jerk, but his smug and attitude makes him a good villain. shame that he didn’t shine that much in heaven’s feel tho.

speaking of servants, as much as i love saber, i like lancer class the most, then assassin and saber goes the third.

anyways, i did say i play fate and heaven’s feel clean and UBW uncensored. i’m not into eroge honestly and the reason for me to play UBW uncensored is bcos it’s the rinshirou route so i’m interested to see these two playing out the lovey dovey scene. yeah, obviously i like it tho :^)

i didn’t play the other routes uncensored bcos well, i’m not the person who’s interested to see other pairings that aren’t worth my time’s kinky scenes.

yeah, i know most people avoid playing the vn bcos it’s really wordy but hey, if you want a full story experience of fate/stay night, this is the only way you can do it as of now. i heard the studio deen adaptation of f/sn wasn’t that good and the UBW movie is also not worth watching bcos it’s not beginner-friendly.

if you insist on starting from the anime, then you should watch the UBW anime by ufotable then pick up the vn, before proceed on watching/reading fate/zero bcos heaven’s feel and fate has a lot of connections to fate/zero especially, while UBW doesn’t hold a lot of impact.

there’s no official localization of this game so the only way you can play it is thru the fan-translations of the PC port of realta nua (aka the remastered version of the game, complete with the options to turn on/off the sex scenes in which they cannot do it for the consoles version since sony doesn’t allow eroges to be played in their consoles.)

anyways, that’s all i want to talk about. i must say that, this series really have captivated me in the end even tho ironically i detested it for being too silly haha.
