I have a lot of scatterbrained design notes for each of them but generally I wanted them to look similar to their original designs but with different themes. I also imagine that they have the same inscribing tools as their original counterparts but just use them differently (i.e. Magnificus paints animals, Leshy takes pictures of people as they're dying/about to die, I'm not sure what the magic equivalent for P03 would be besides maybe a spellbook that copies the essence of things, and Grimora's quill would either "write" code or write directly onto the hardware of robots).

so like queen Was Going To be a calculator. i have to wonder how far into development this was changed, since her design is still clearly reminiscent of it but there are certain things in-game that do rely on her being a computer (like her concern for/fixation on noelle and her searches)

but since it was changed to her being the laptop, why didn’t they make it resemble her? like why not make it a blue laptop

i don't know like. maybe i am actually just really repressed and emotionally guarded and this will change at some point in my life or maybe this is just how i am and will be but i simply cannot imagine the appeal of being in a romantic relationship. why would u want that. how is it better than having good friends and getting laid regularly

my tmg song sorters are once again up to date! you can find them all under the cut. i added a total of 5 new song sorters this year, as well as an album sorter that's comprehensive of all of the mountain goats' releases, not just what's on streaming!

the rest of the sorters include only what's on spotify, but with each new (old) addition to streaming, it's looking like making the jump to a more comprehensive sorter situation is going to be easier and easier!

if you attempt the all spotify songs sorter, i��d recommend using a computer to do so - it takes a very long time to do & will sometimes refresh on mobile browsers, which starts you over from the beginning.

including unreleased and live only songs? pros: people can have a tool that helps people who've heard them before in figuring out their favorite mountain goats songs. cons: removes new fans' need to go searching for unheard gems, & that's a huge part of the enjoyment

A Cryptobro update.

He has gotten the idea to build an app, and a website. He's using AI to do it, for the most part. He can't code, or even do HTML; he's just using AI, and picking stuff up while troubleshooting the AI results. He's very proud of how nice the website looks already, and claims he's already learned so much just by watching the AI do things. And you know, I am willing to believe that he *is* learning things. Not cohesive things, as in, he's not building a skill, but he's definitely being exposed to a lot of concepts and info, and I'm sure it's a learning experience, of a kind. The man is an idiot but he's not unintelligent.

That said.

I asked him… so, this app, what is it going to do? What will it be? What's your use case, your business model?

He's the quintessential "idea guy" and… he doesn't even have any ideas. He goes all "eh, the app could do anything, I can make anything!" and then he… doesn't actually have any examples of what that "anything" could possibly entail.

Of course, I'm not putting aside the possibility that he's pretending to not have a plan in order to "protect" his big idea until it's ready for launch. Absolutely not putting it past him.

Every person I've ever known who was serious about developing an app or writing software or starting a small shop or business… has *loved* talking about their plans. Not counting big companies with NDA's and certain high competition fields, most individual humans who are creating a thing are passionate about that thing, and enthused to share its story. What is it? What does it do? Why is it valuable or useful? What made you want to make this?

But apparently, Cryptobro's big plan doesn't have a story, doesn't have a use case, doesn't have a target audience. It's all just… filler. And he talks a great deal about how the product is more important than the process, and having the idea is all you need in a world where AI can do anything, but… he doesn't even have an idea? He doesn't have a product concept that anyone would want?

The only thing he aims to do is make a thing -any thing, whatever thing- and monetize it, with as little investment on his end as possible. Nothing more.
