Getting here was his lifelong dream. Is it how he imagined it?
"When you're a kid, you dream of just driving. Instead, I realized that F1 isn't just about getting in a car and racing, but there's also a lot more outside to learn to manage."
Did you also have to adapt your character, which has always been very friendly and open?
"I've changed a lot in the last year, to protect myself. I've realized that private things should remain private and I try to be careful."
Your debut in the rain surprised everyone. What do you like about racing in the wet?
"To be honest, I don't know. It's always come naturally to me in single-seaters. And to think that I didn't like it at all in karts."
In the rain in 2020 he had a bad accident in which he broke his leg. How do you get back into wearing a helmet after an episode like that?
"Maybe that's also why I didn't like the rain in karts. When I returned to the track the year after the accident I really struggled in the rain. I kept going thanks to passion and experience but initially it was a shock."
Was it difficult to overcome?
"Yes, because when something like this has never happened to you, you don't think it could happen to you. It takes time to accept it and to understand how to move forward, how to run without fear again."
This weekend he will be racing his first home race in F1. How exciting will it be?
"I'm so happy. On Friday I'll arrive directly from my house in Bologna and sleep in my own bed before going to the track. It's also my little sister's birthday, so I can celebrate with her."
Will there be someone special by his side?
"My whole family, my best friends and even my classmates. Since I can't go on school trips, I thought I'd take them to the track with me over the weekend."
His father is following him in all the races of the season. How does he help him?
"We analyze each session together to see where I can improve. And then dad is my rock, he is the one I can always count on and having his support in this very important year for me is fundamental."
Among the challenges of this year there will also be the Maturity exam to take. Are you ready?
"I'm a little nervous. Unfortunately I won't be able to take the exams with my classmates because I have competitions in that period, but I want to get there, also to make my mother proud, she means a lot to me."
He has an extraordinary memory: He can remember all the times he has achieved on the track over the years. Is this talent a help in F1?
"I'm not sure where this ability comes from. When I want to beat a time it sticks in my head and remembering the ones from previous years allows me to understand the conditions of the track. Let's say that in general it helps me to arrive prepared, but I don't do it on purpose, it just happens."
We often see you with Verstappen. Do you get along?
"I think people can get the wrong idea about Max: on the track he's an animal but off it he's a very nice guy. We really like GT and simulator racing, we have a lot in common."
You took Hamilton's place at Mercedes. Does the comparison weigh on you?
"No, because I know I'm not his replacement. I simply feel like the new Mercedes driver and I'm grateful for the opportunity that has been given to me."
His girlfriend Eliska was a go-kart racer. Is it important for her to know the environment?
"A lot. She doesn't compete anymore, she's chosen to focus on her studies, but the fact that she understands everything that goes into it helps me. And then when she comes with me to the paddock she knows how to move, I know that if I leave her alone she won't have any problems".
How is the relationship with Peter Bonnington, your race engineer?
"Very nice. At the beginning I saw him a bit tense because I'm a very physical guy, I like to hug people, touch them, and "Bono" wasn't used to it, he's more "British". Now that he's opening up I'm very happy when he comes to hug me".
Are the goals you set before the start of the season the same ones you have today?
"No, now they've got up. We have a competitive car and we've achieved some great results. Now I want the first podium, that's the next goal. And then we'll think about the first win."
Is there anything you miss about having a normal life?
"Since I was little I've gotten used to living a life different from my peers. But running is what I love, what I've always wanted to do and what I'll want to do for the rest of my life. Nothing really weighs me down."

stanford era art having a bad day (maybe he failed a test or something, nothing too serious) but he gets really upset (like he’s gonna cry) so when he gets back to his dorm patrick is there (cuz he’s visiting) and patrick wants to take care of art, see what art needs but art is like “please just fuck me” or something along those linessss
Hello my love, thank you for the prompt <3 This got crazy long for some reason. Just needed Art wandering about feeling sorry for himself lol
CW: 18+ !NSFW!
—-
It’s frustrating, he’s never ever failed a test before. Particularly in math. It’s not like he wants to be a math major or an engineer or anything but he’s been in advanced math since he was 14 years old, he should be able to handle this.
He tries not to cry as the professor goes over the results of their calculus based physics exam and the other students in the class are answering questions, demonstrating their work like it’s easy. Meanwhile he’s struggling to understand it. He talks to the professor after class and the professor is understanding but he explains, “these are the basics, the class is only going to get more difficult. So I suggest you withdraw and retake it after you take a more fundamental calculus course?”
Art nods and forces a smile, his throat burning as his professor pats him on the arm.
“It’s okay, plenty of students go that route and still become architects and engineers. There’s nothing wrong with it.”
Art is barely aware as he treks back to his dorm. He’s never flunked out of a class. And yes, math is one of his more challenging subjects but he’s always been able to work hard enough to figure it out. Working hard is his one talent. It’s how he ended up as one of the best students at Mark Reballato, salutatorian. He used to be the one to tutor his classmates. He aced every AP and Honors course. He’d studied so hard and done so well on the SATs and yet these kids at Stanford are actual child prodigies and geniuses…and for some of them it’s like… it’s like they don’t even have to try.
By the time he gets back to his room his eyes are full of tears. Why can’t he fucking excel at anything? Why can’t he be the prodigy for once? Why does he always have to try so fucking hard?
He knows his roommate won't be home until evening and he’s so ready to throw himself on his bed and sob like a loser but as he pushes open the bedroom door he remembers Patrick is visiting. He’s there on Art’s bed watching The View, of all things, and talking on the phone with his sister.
He waves, grinning but pauses when he sees Art’s face. Art can’t even hide it, it’s too late. Tears spill from his eyes and he drops his book bag in his chair.
“Hey Tor I’ll call you back,” Patrick says, into the phone.
Art wipes the tears away quickly, angry that they’re there in the first place.
“Hey! What’s wrong?” Patrick asks.
Art shakes his head. “Nothing.”
”Seriously? You look like a kicked puppy. Come on, tell me what’s wrong. Is it your grandma… or… or tennis?”
”No Patrick, you just… you wouldn’t understand.” He knows Patrick wouldn’t take this seriously. Patrick’s just another prodigy. All their coaches telling him how brilliant he’s been at tennis since they were 11. And Tashi too, a once in a generation talent, that’s what they’re calling her.
“Try me,” Patrick says. Art stares at him. He’s lying across the width of Art’s single bed, back resting up against the wall. He’s in his boxers still, legs open, his muscular thighs spread out. Hands folded inside the Stanford t-shirt he borrowed from Art. His penetrating gaze is resting on Art and he looks concerned. And so fucking hot.
Art rubs his eyes again. He’s frustrated and angry but now he’s feeling… horny. He probably should’ve thought twice before having sex with his best friend. Everything is all silly now. He’s not sure why he did it. Well actually, he was trying to fuck with Patrick, see if he could ruin his relationship with Tashi.
He didn’t even think Patrick would go for it, just mentioned it casually on Patrick’s birthday but he came back a couple days later with all these different kinds of lube and condoms and they spent a long rainy afternoon trying to figure it all out. Exploring different positions, techniques, playing with each other. Now they're doing it all the time and the whole thing backfired because Art’s the one craving it. He walks between Patrick’s legs. “Can you fuck me?”
Patrick raises his eyebrows. “Really?”
Art shrugs.
Patrick sits forward. “Yeah. Sure.” He says, the ghost of a smirk on his mouth. “It’s so early for you. You usually like it when I buy you dinner first.”
Art digs the heels of his palms into his eyes as stupid tears drop down again.
“Art, seriously…are you okay?” Patrick asks, tentatively. “I can help… tell me how to help.”
“I’m fine. It’s nothing,” Art says, and he climbs onto the bed. Straddling him. “Just fuck me.”
Patrick grips him by the waist. “Mmkay, I can do that.” He says, unzipping Arts pants. He tugs Arts jeans down over his thighs and Art steps out of them. Then he’s lifting his t-shirt over his head and climbing back onto Patrick’s lap.
Patrick touches his face, rubs a thumb along the wet space on Arts cheeks. “Did someone hurt you?” He asks softly.
“No, Patrick please, I don’t want to talk about it.” Art whines. His brain is freaking out because of the tenderness and the last thing he needs is to freak out over his feelings for Patrick too.
“Alright,” Patrick says and he kisses Art. And kisses him again. Art licks at his lips and pushes his tongue inside.
He can feel Patrick getting hard underneath him as they make out. It’s so much and it happens so fast, Arts dizzy for it. “That’s a neat trick,” Art whispers. Grinding his hips against the sensation.
“That’s what you do to me,” Patrick sighs against his lips.
Art smiles. Maybe he sucks at math now but at least he’s still good at this.
“Need you lubed up,” Patrick hums. Art gets up and crawls over to his bedside table. He can feel Patrick’s large palm rubbing on the swell of his bottom as he’s bent over. Art’s got all this stuff he has to hide when his parents are in town now. He pulls lubricant out and while Patrick’s putting it on his cock Art lingers on the bed, playing with his waistband, watching while the ladies on The View are arguing about something.
“You can turn it off, my sister wanted me to watch Phil Collins perform or something,” Patrick says, distractedly.
“Okay fuck me while he performs or something.” Art says.
Patrick smirks. “Fuck, you really need to cry don’t you?”
Art takes a breath.
“Okay sorry,” Patrick says gently, “Can you lay down?”
Art settles onto his back. Keeps his legs open as Patrick crawls between and takes his boxers down. “Mm, what time does your roommate get back?”
“Later,” Art says.
“I don’t have to keep you quiet then,” Patrick smiles.
Art chews on his thumb as Patrick lines himself up to press it inside. He’s all lubed up but Art is just used to the fact that it’s always going to feel like a lot at first. He breathes through the stretch and watches amused as Patrick rubs his at Art’s pelvis. He always does that, trying to feel his own cock penetrating from the outside. “You’re always so fucking tight for me baby. Feels like I didn’t even take your virginity.” Patrick says. It’s all for his ego. He moves down to rub Art’s cock and Art moans. Wraps his legs around Patrick’s waist, wiggling his hips.
“I know, relax, I’m gonna fuck you,” Patrick breathes. He starts sliding it in and out and out and in. Patrick’s had him in so many positions but this is Art’s favorite, he can feel Patrick sinking so much deeper inside him this way. Sees stars on every other thrust and his head empties out quickly. Once he came so hard he swears he had a second orgasm two minutes later. Patrick says he just wasn’t done.
This time it feels blindingly good. He’s feeling so good, he bites down on Patrick’s shoulder to relieve some of the tension. He wonders if Tashi ever notices his marks, the way he notices hers. Sometimes when he’s really turned on he bites where she scratches.
After a few minutes he thinks he’s listening to Patrick moan but realizes belatedly that it’s him. His mouth is watering so much that he’s drooling. Patrick is grunting as his hips slam into Art at a ridiculous pace. Art feels so fucking full, he loves the feeling of Patrick warm and solid inside of him, breaching him. His body lit up like a raw nerve as Patrick hits that delicious tender spot over and over and over. He’s gonna pass out. It sounds so fucking obscene over the sound of the bed springs squeaking and Phil Collins in the background.
Art loses it first, sticky ropes of pearly white shooting out of his cock, covering Patrick’s stomach, dripping back down onto Art’s body. And then it’s too much, Art can feel everything and he’s squirming trying to get away as Patrick picks up the pace.
“No, no don’t run away… two fucking seconds stay here,” Patrick groans, gripping him tightly. It feels insane. It feels so fucking good but it’s too much and his eyes are watering again. Art swears he can honestly feel himself drifting in and out of consciousness. He’s coming again, he knows he’s coming again as Patrick finishes inside him, filling him with wet, heated, sticky cum. Art clenching on him. Keeping him inside.
Patrick’s shivering. “Fuck,” he whispers, collapsing on top of Art like a warm heavy sticky blanket.
“Mm,” Art sighs, rubbing Patrick’s back gently, to calm him down. Patrick groans and rolls off of Art onto his side right next to him. He curls his fingers into Art’s hair.
“You feel better?” Patrick asks, softly.
“Yeah,” Art says quietly. He didn’t really do anything but put it out of his mind for 30 minutes. And now he’s coming back to the reality that he’s only in his second semester of college and he already has to drop a class.
“Feel like telling me what’s wrong?”
Art rolls his eyes and looks up at the ceiling. “It’s stupid. I failed an exam. I studied so fucking hard and I just— everything on the test looked like it might as well have been written in a foreign language. I thought the whole class would have done poorly but it was just me.”
”What class?” Patrick asks.
“Calculus for physics,” Art sighs.
“Sounds really fucking hard,” Patrick says. “You should tell them to fuck off and come with me on the road.”
“I knew you wouldn’t get it,” Art mutters. “You don’t take any of this seriously. I’m not as good at tennis as you are. I’m not fucking good at anything. Like the one thing I thought wouldn’t be difficult which is school work and I can’t even fucking do that properly. I’m gonna have to drop and I’m not even done with my first fucking year.”
Patrick doesnt say anything for a minute, he’s still fingering Art’s curls. Then he takes a breath. “You’re good at a lot of things, Art. You’ve got to stop beating yourself up. I mean… I get it. You were top of your class in high school but all these dorks at Stanford were the best in their high schools too. I was one of the best players but now I’m on tour facing off with the best players in the world and a lot of them are fucking kicking my ass. Just… you know… Tashi always says to have a little perspective. You’re here for a fucking reason. Don’t psych yourself out before the game is over.”
Art hadn’t really thought about that, Patrick has been having a hard time on tour, Art feels a little softer for him now. He rolls over to face him wrapping a leg over Patrick’s thigh. “You think I should stay in the class? Prove them wrong?”
Patrick smiles. “No, what the fuck do you need calculus with physics for anyway?”
Art laughs a bit. “I mean… if I decide to go to med school I’ll need a physics and a calculus class… but I guess I don’t really need this specific course unless I was going to become an engineer.”
“I’ve heard you talk about being a doctor before, never an engineer.” Patrick says, “Fuck that class, find something better to do with your time.”
“Yeah…fuck it,” Art says thoughtfully, he can play with his teammates on the indoor courts in the mornings. He feels so much lighter actually. Patrick is right, he really doesn’t need this course at all. He was just so used to high school, thinking everything put in front of him was something he needed to ace. In college, none of it mattered except for what he needed for his major. Patrick’s tracing circles idly along Art’s thigh. “Mm, something better to do with my time….” Art says, smiling, “You think we can fuck again before my roommate gets home?”
Patrick smirks, “Oh absolutely.”

HISTORY
Good
Morning
What a boring tale to start the morning with...
This is still fresh in my mind.
Oh, a thousand pardons. I didn't mean to yawn there...
Afternoon
This bit of history is beyond ancient.
I feel as though I could sleep soundly.
A boring class, don't you think?
Evening
Wow, what high praise.
During this era...
I'm reminded of how torturous this was way back when...
Great
Nothing worth bragging about.
Is this it?
This is just fundamental coursework.
This isn't anywhere near satisfying enough.
Perfect
Normal Lesson
Watch me, you might learn something.
Trein-sensei, is there a problem?
It's only natural that I would understand this.
This isn't even worth reviewing.
Special Lesson
I suppose I'll focus up a tad.
That will be on the exam.
Headmage, what did you even come here for?
Tumblr media
FLYING
Good
Morning
Is this supposed to be a dog park?
Vargas-sensei, be quieter.
Tch, this broom is filthy.
Afternoon
This is just a light workout.
This thing won't go any faster.
Don't get too rowdy, you'll injure yourself.
Evening
Straighten your back.
Want me to show you how to do it?
This is nothing but a glorified dog race.
Great
This should be good enough.
Maneuvering a broom is much too simple.
I almost want to stick an engine on this thing.
The pickup speed isn't bad at all.
Perfect
Normal Lesson
Faster!
Can you keep up with me?
Now, it's time for walkies.
Did you think I would not be proficient at this?
Special Lesson
How did the Headmage fly through the air...?
This was a good change of pace.
Watch and learn, pups.
Tumblr media
ALCHEMY
Good
Morning
How does it look?
Do it properly.
I'll try a different ingredient.
It will fail at that rate.
Keep the heat at an even temperature...
Afternoon
Don't just throw the ingredients in!
Make sure to do your proper grooming.
Good, it's starting to change.
Picture the completed concoction.
A fine man, if I do say so myself.
Evening
We need to ventilate.
Alchemy is not just about making gold.
There is a proper method to stirring.
Don't take the ingredients out from here.
Shall I show you how it's done?
Great
That professor has good sense.
Did you think I would fail?
Heh, I've done it.
Be more efficient.
This is the absolute basics of basics.
Perfect
Normal Lesson
Time to tidy up.
This is ideal.
I can reproduce it for you as many times as you need.
My recipe is perfect.
I could do this with my eyes closed.
Special Lesson
Try making something of this level.
Alchemy is spectacular.
Headmage, your coat has caught fire...
I should increase the difficulty of the recipe.
Now, this is alchemy.

/751191849002270720/ to be clear i am coming from the position that it is fine to cheat on tests. but i don't think these three motivations are cleanly separable or mutually exclusive from person to person. why is it bad if those first two types cheat in a way that it isn't for the last one. there's no reason for the ostensible consequences (people not knowing what they're doing/people not knowing what they're talking about) to happen less in the last case than the first two. i think it is always wrong in all cases to be mad online at people for cheating
i mean, it's bad because there are some jobs for which 'having actually done all that work at university' has stakes and some where it doesn't. you don't want civil engineers or lawyers surgeons cheating on their exams because those exams are about extremely specialised skills they need for their jobs as a matter of literal life and death, but if someone's an administrative assistant or hr manager or events planner i just straight up don't think it matters. of course there's more of a spectrum than a neat divide here but i think of a fundamental level a fraudulently obtained medical or engineering degree is harmful to society in the way that a fraudulently obtained economics or graphic design degree isn't.

Common Misconceptions About the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam
Many misconceptions about the FE exam could affect your preparation. This blog provides brief insights into the myths surrounding the FE exam, helping you prepare.
What is the FE Exam?
The Fundamentals of Engineering exam is the first step toward becoming a professional engineer. It evaluates your basic competency in the engineering field and your ability to apply fundamental ethics.
6 Misconceptions About the FE Exam
The FE Exam is Easy
This statement is false. The FE exam assesses your understanding of fundamental concepts. You cannot gauge the exam's difficulty based on a single candidate's experience; some may find it easy, while others may struggle. Although preparing for the FE exam can be challenging, you can excel with practical strategies and consistent preparation.
You Need Work Experience to Take the FE Exam
Again, this statement is false. There is no prerequisite for work experience to attempt the FE exam. Candidates who are in the final year of their engineering program or those who have completed can apply and take the FE exam. Taking the FE exam widens your career prospects, adds value to your resume, and increases your earning potential.
FE Other Discipline Exam is the Easiest
This is not necessarily true! You might find the FE Civil exam easier if you come from a specific background, such as civil engineering. Therefore, you cannot conclude that the FE Other Discipline exam is accessible based on its passing score.
The FE Other Discipline exam could be the most challenging, or you might mistakenly perceive it as the easiest. Regardless of which FE exam you choose, preparing with a structured study plan and developing the skills needed to succeed is essential.
You Can Carry the Cheat Sheet for the FE Exam
You are not allowed to bring any study materials into the exam hall. While you can create a cheat sheet to review essential points, bringing it into the exam is prohibited. You can use the cheat sheets to revise before your FE exam starts.
You Cannot Retake the FE Exam
If you do not pass the exam on your first attempt, you can retake it up to three times within 12 months until you pass. To better prepare for your next attempt, visit the NCEES website for information on the retake policy.
The Lindeburg Book is the Only Good Resource
Numerous online resources are available for exam preparation. Choose the one that best fits your learning style, but ensure that the content aligns with NCEES specifications and includes the most current exam information.
Further, you can consider investing in review courses that provide all the essential study materials in one location. These can include review guides, preparation notes, video lectures, and practice exams, all of which can contribute to your success.
Conclusion
There are many misconceptions about the FE exam. To prepare successfully, gather quality study materials and create a solid study plan. Consider signing up with the School of PE for expert guidance!

do you have any text (articles/shorter texts are preferred but i'm perfectly fine with books!) on medical sexual abuse, i.e people being sexually abused by doctors and other medical authorities? tumblr search engines are obviously horrible with helping look through blogs for terms and my experience with researching this has been finding either a. wikipedia grade information or b. "medical consequences of sexual abuse" and most of these texts lead into the ways doctors (always) help people who have been sexually abused, which is now the opposite of what i'm looking for
i have not found a lot on this that's worth reading. there are a few personal-testimonial type accounts from adult patients (eg here) but these tend to be written in the same narrative vein as self-help / recovery books; i haven't found much of interest on the actual topic in these.
then there's a small but growing body of literature on the practice of performing exams on unconscious patients without prior consent, usually focussing on nonconsensual pelvic exams and arguing these constitute sexual assault (x, x, x). this is of course true, but these arguments are virtually always formulated in ways that trivialise consent violations (ie: rape; assault) that occur in other procedures, specialties, or medical settings; also, these texts are heavily indebted to the mary daly esque intellectual lineage of only being able to articulate the concept of rape on the terrain of sexgender essentialism. these texts therefore chronically have nothing of value (even on an interpersonal level) to say about medical rape that occurs outside a very narrow cis-heterosexual imaginary in which the actual facts of the medical profession and its normal professional operations are either completely handwaved as benign, or are understood as being secondary to patriarchy and nought else.
i did read this paper on assault by asylum staff in 19th century britain and there are interesting references you could follow -- but this is just historical analysis; it's not going to get you far if you want information on how often this happens today or on a theoretical understanding of it.
imo this isn't really a topic where the literature is going to become much more useful, at least under the current operating paradigms in bioethics -- fundamentally the reason the literature sucks is because "doctor" is defined as ontologically incompatible with "rapist".

Hey! This is very random, but I saw that you work in cyber security right now. I work in data science, but I'm really interested in cyber security and considering making a switch. I was wondering what kind of cybersecurity work you do, and what has been the most helpful for you to learn what you need for your job!
Hi! Cybersecurity is a really broad field, and you can do a lot of different things depending on what your interests are.
My work is mostly focused around automating things for security, since my background is in programming. Automation is really helpful for speeding up boring, monotonous tasks that need to get done, but don't necessarily need a human involved. A good example is automated phishing analysis, since phishing reports are a big chunk of the cases that security analysts have to deal with, and an analyst usually follows the same few steps at the beginning. Rather than someone having to manually check the reputation of the sender domain, check the reputation of any links, and all of that every single time, we can build tools to automatically scan for things like that and then present the info to the analyst. The whole idea here is to automate the boring data retrieval stuff, since computers are good at that, and give the analyst more time for decision-making and analysis, since humans are good at that.
If you're coming from data science, you might be interested in detection engineering. Cybersecurity is essentially a data problem - we have a ton of logs from a ton of different sources (internal logs, threat intelligence feeds, etc.) - how do we sort through that data to highlight things that we want to pay attention to, and how can we correlate events from different sources? If you're into software development or want to stay more on the data science side, maybe you could also look into roles for software development at companies that have SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) products - these are essentially the big log repositories that organizations rely on for correlation and alerting.
As for starting to learn security, my general go-to recommendation is to start looking through the material for the Security+ certification. For better or worse, certifications are pretty big in security, much more so than other tech fields (to my knowledge). I'm a bit more hesitant to recommend the Security+ now, since CompTIA (the company that offers it) was bought by a private equity company last year. Everyone is kind of expecting the prices to go up and the quality to go down. (The Security+ exam costs $404 USD as of writing this, and I think I took mine for like $135ish with a student discount in 2022). However, the Security+ is still the most well-known and comprehensive entry-level certification that I'm aware of. You can (and should) study for it completely for free - check out Professor Messer's training videos on YouTube. There are also plenty of books out there if that's more of your thing. I'd say to treat the Security+ as a way to get a broad overview of security and figure out what you don't know. (It's certainly not a magic ticket to a job, no matter what those expensive bootcamps will tell you.)
If you aren't familiar with networking, it's worth checking out Professor Messer's Network+ training videos as well. You don't need to know everything on there, but having an understanding of ports, protocols, and network components and design is super useful. I hear a lot that the best security folks are often the ones who come from IT or networking or similar and have a really solid understanding of the fundamentals and then get into security. Don't neglect the basics!
One thing that I'll also add, based on conversations I've had with folks in my network… getting a job in cybersecurity is harder now than it used to be, at least in the US (where I am). There are a ton of very well-qualified people who have been laid off who are now competing with people trying to get into the field in the first place, and with the wrecking ball that Elon is taking to the federal government (and by extension, government contractors) right now… it's hard. There's still a need for skilled folks in cyber, but you're going to run into a lot of those "5 years of experience required for this entry-level job" kind of job postings.
On a slightly happier note, another thing you should do if you want to get into cyber is to stay up to date with what's happening in the industry! I have a masterpost that has a section with some of my favorite news sources. The SANS Stormcast is a good place to start - it's a 5 minute podcast every weekday morning that covers most of the big things. Black Hills Infosec also does a weekly news livestream on YouTube that's similar (but longer and with more banter). Also, a lot of infosec folks hang out on Mastodon & in the wider fediverse. Let me know if you want some recs for folks to follow over there.
The nice thing about cybersecurity (and computer-related fields in general, I find) is that there are a ton of free resources out there to help you learn. Sometimes it's harder to find the higher-quality ones, but let me know if there are any topics you're interested in & I'll see what I can find. I have a few posts in my cybersecurity tag on here that might help.
Thank you for your patience, I know you sent this in over a week ago lol but life has been busy. Feel free to send any follow-up questions if you have any!
