ItaJun: Yuuji definitely initiates theses 10/10. He's very affectionate and open with his love <3 Junpei starts doing them just as fast when he gets comfortable, usually when they're alone.

Akafuri: Furihata! He's probably super shy about it though and it takes some working up to but he's the one who starts it. He does it pretty casually after. Akashi starts later and is always makes a whole Moment out of it the few times he does do it.

- Gets jealous the most

ItaJun: JUNPEI. EASILY. He tries to tune it down and not let it show but he sulks whenever Yuuji gets too close to someone or if he thinks someone like-likes Yuuji(why hello hundreds of headcanons about the Megumi vs. Junpei- battle of the emos)

AkaFuri: AKASHI. Again, super freaking easy. Furihata's come to terms with everyone being attracted to Akashi, after all, he's handsome, talented, rish and very smart, who wouldn't like him? Akashi's like "I'm obviously the best why would Furihata be interested in anyone else?" but he sees people getting close to Furihata and he gets all huffy and pouty about it.

- Picks the other up from the bar when they’re too drunk to drive

ItaJun: Junpei picks up Yuuji. Yuuji seems like the type to get carried away in celebrating and hanging with friends so Junpei has to keep an eye on him.

AkaFuri: Akashi, only because I think Akashi's forever the Assigned Driver of GoM. He probably never allows himself to get too drunk. Furihata's a regular dude he's probably unwinding after work or college or whatever.

- Takes care of on sick days

ItaJun: Both! They both fret a lot.

AkaFuri: Also both tbh. Furihata's better at the warmth and comfort part, keeping him engaged when Akashi's stuck in bed. Akashi's probably good at the medicine and recovery part.

- Drags the other person out into the water on beach day

ItaJun: YUUJI!!!! Actually, I can vividly picture him just picking Junpei up and running into the water while Junpei's clinging to his neck like "Slow down! SLOW DOWN!" and then they jump in and giggle while throwing water at each other

AkaFuri: Furihata! He'd think going into the water's a given but Akashi's like "no I'm staying here and keeping watch of everyone and their belonging"(assuming they go with their friends + teammates). But Furihata's like, come on you deserve to enjoy yourself too. Insert something about how Akashi always viewed himself as being too far away to to truly get along with GoM +Rakuzan, that he broke their friendship too much, but Furihata's showing him that no, he's reaching out to him and he'll take his hand and close the distance if he has to.

- Gives unprompted massages

ItaJun: I think, both? Yuuji does it for fun, Junpei always feels heartbroken seeing Yuuji being put through the worst, most draining fights and wants to help him relax

AkaFuri: Akashi. Idk I just think he'd start doing it saying it's to help Furi stretch and relax for after practice for basketball but he's just touch starved and wants the contact

- Drives/rides shotgun

ItaJun: Junpei drives, Yuuji's shotgun. I have a hc that if Junpei went to Jujutsu Tech, he'd have opted to be a manager after somehow moving past the revenge against Mahito phase(he doesn't seem to actually care about the heroics of sorcery and would rather protect people he's personally close with). Yuuji just gives shotgun vibes he's a passenger princess.

AkaFuri: I think they both drive but Akashi always insists on driving because he thinks it's being a gentleman and maaaaybe he's going to show off a little when they find open road and he can go vroom vroom in his expensive car sometimes to impress Furi.

- Brings the other lunch at work

ItaJun: This is such a Yuuji move. He's good at cooking in canon and shares recipes, I think he takes joy in making people food, it's another tiny little way of protecting and helping the ones he loves.

AkaFuri: Both. Furihata brings homemade stuff, Akashi brings takeout. Furihata has to do it a bit more though because Akashi forgets that humans have to eat if he's caught up in whatever fancy important job he'll probably get.

- Has the better parental relationship

ItaJun: I am happy to say both! A miracle, truly. Junpei's mom is amazing, Yuuji's grandpa was gruff but still loving, Jin seemed nice as well. We don't talk about Kenjaku but I think Kaori would have been great as well

AkaFuri: HAHAHAHAHA Furihata 100/10. Akashi's dad is a fucking nightmare. His son was having a mental health crisis in middle school over not being the no.1 at everything, so much so he just fully shut himself out from any kind of human connection. That's how terrified of failure, of his DAD Akashi is. This is no competition, and I feel so bad for him

- Tries to start role-playing in bed

ItaJun: Hmmmmm....I feel like this was Yuuji slipping up at some point, Junpei catches on and he's like "wait, you wanna elaborate???" And then they sit down and draft up this whole scenario with characters and plot lmao. Probably some kinda monster-damsel RP except Yuuji sucks at being the monster so Junpei has to do it.

AkaFuri: I'm wondering if they would RP at all....I think if they did, Akashi would want to, but Furihata would verbalize it for him because Akashi has no clue how to explain that that's what he wants.

- Embarrassingly drunk dancer

ItaJun: Both. They share a braincell. They're probably laughing in each other's face while being nuisances

AkaFuri: By virtue of Akashi being canonically good at everything, this one has to go to Furihata.

- Still cries watching Titanic

ItaJun: Yuuji hands down. Junpei's out here checking the set design for historical accuracy and Yuuji's like "th-they love each other 🥺so much! And the violinist doing the last performance 🥺 the old couple holding each other 🥺😭😭". Junpei thinks it's very sweet.

AkaFuri: Furihata. He love romance and he might have accidentally related a little too hard with Jack and Rose(he will take it to the grave that he thinks Rose resembles Akashi).

- Firmly believes in couples costumes

ItaJun: BOTH. They're cosplaying every goddamn Halloween as their favorite horror and slasher movie couples. They WILL be cosplaying as Morticia and Gomez at least once.

AkaFuri: Neither, Furihata's too embarrassed by it and Akashi is way too awkward.

- Breaks the expensive gift rule during Christmas

ItaJun: Neither. I think neither of them have enough money for it and they see eye-to-eye a lot so they know exactly what to get. It helps that both of them have hobbies that are relatively cheap.

AkaFuri: Akashi. He has no idea what the threshold for 'expensive' is. Unless you give him a precise price limit, he will be buying Furihata giant train sets, first edition signed copies of books and shoes that are probably worth someone's 2 month rent.

- Makes the other eat breakfast

ItaJun: Yuuji? I think Yuuji eats a lot, probably wakes up early too, so he defaults into calling Junpei up for breakfast.

AkaFuri: Furihata. Again, Akashi forgets that he is a human being and therefore must eat.

- Remembers anniversaries

ItaJun: Both! But Yuuji remembers the ridiculously small events too, like first time they went ice skating together, first visit to the aquarium, first sleepove, etc. But Junpei remembers all the major stuff.

AkaFuri: Both. Furihata seems like a romantic who enjoys that stuff. Akashi is way too focused on his calendar so he knows what happened when.

- Brings up having kids

ItaJun: If this is canon, Yuuji brings it up. I think he'd want a big family but he fully ditched those ideas after seeing the state of their lives. If it's in a No Curses AU, Yuuji's super enthusiastic about having kids and Junpei's probably the same. I can see them having like, two kids. Adopted. Yuuji makes them the best lunches and cute breakfast, takes them to the park. Junpei's gotta be the more stricter parent, helps them with homework, they go to him when they want to introspect. They go to Yuuji when they have more fact-based questions like "how does rain work?" or "why do caterpillars become soup before they become butterflies?"

AkaFuri: Akashi.....? Furihata sorta had that default of "love-marriage-kids" in his head but he never thought about it. Akashi though, is having anxiety over it because his dad probably wants kids for the Akashi business empire or whatever idk he seems the type.

** Akashi was quite certain this was the most ridiculous thing he’d ever done.

It was the middle of the night, and Akashi was standing in the driveway of a simple two-story house. He was holding his breath, not trusting himself to breathe just yet. 

This really was a terrible idea…

Finding Furihata’s house had been simple enough in a town where everyone knew everyone. It was fairly secluded in a corner lot, with a fringe of trees surrounding the backyard. The police cruiser and Furihata’s Toyota were parked in the driveway. 

The car was what he was here for. It was the best option he could think of without putting Furihata directly in more danger than he was already in. 

If he was truly going to attempt any kind of friendship with Furihata, then things couldn’t continue on as they have been. He couldn’t justify having conversations when Furihata’s life hung in the balance with every breath he took. 

The only thing that made Furihata’s scent slightly more bearable was the anticipation of it. Akashi knew how to lock his muscles in place, how to inhale through his mouth rather than his nose. All the small things that helped him tolerate those tiny, incrementable breaths. 

But it wouldn’t be enough. He needed a way to overcome the temptation rather than simply avoiding it. 

At first, he considered forcing himself to try and breathe continually in class. If he could freeze himself in place for the duration of the hour, there was a chance… but no. It was far too risky with Furihata so close, not to mention that Akashi would also be forced to end the entire class as well after what they’d witnessed. 

He needed a way to desensitize himself to Furihata’s scent without him physically being there. Which meant he needed something that smelled like him.

Akashi was tired; his job, the position he was in, and the burden upon his shoulder. So what should he do to reduce the stress? Calling his boyfriend of 7 years.

It was a nice weekend when Akashi decided to have a holiday from his endless work. So he called his cute innocent boyfriend, Furihata, and made an appointment to meet at 9 in Azure Cafe.

"Akashi-kun!!" Akashi smiled at his action and stopped stirring his cappuccino. Furihata gulped some air before sat across Akashi.

"I apologize for calling you in the middle of your work yesterday" Akashi said breaking the silence between them. Furihata tensed up and replied "N-No, it-it's okay! I-It's just rare f-for you to c-call!" followed by an awkward laugh. It has been like this. He just couldn't drop his nervousness ever since their counterpart in the winter's cup back down their school days. He even couldn't believe it that they would meet again as a couple. 7 years seemed like a short time as Akashi getting busier each week and he himself couldn't help but find a work to help his family. By status, it's just impossible for them to be together. But with love, what is impossible?

Akashi looked at him and tried to suppress his desire to laugh. Really. His boyfriend would never change. His childish face would always bring him great relieve. Not only that but also his personality. When he is nervous, laugh, refuse his request modestly, he couldn't help but love all about him. Especially when-

"Sei, have you been pushing yourself too hard lately? Are you okay?"

Akashi was startled. He didn't realize the slim finger that lift his chin up and two orbs observing him. He love this part of Furihata but also scared of it. Those piercing eyes looked like they could searched every detail on him. His tone still the same high but held more coldness and serious. Furihata didn't jumble with words and didn't hesitate to call his sure name.

Akashi shivered from the touch and replied,"I am fine. Thank you. But I am a little bit tired." He learned to be more honest since really when Furihata in serious mode, there's just no way he could lie about his condition.

"It's a lie, isn't it?" Akashi jumped a bit. See? He knew almost everything right now.

Akashi huffed and sighed.

"I'm tired. Death tired" he finally admit it. He was tired from all those paper works stacked on his table.

Every. Single. Day.

These days those stacks seemed to be multiplying itself. Really, he should ask one of his bodyguard to burn each of them. But he knew he just couldn't. Being the head of all his father's company pressured him a lot. He couldn't make a single mistake or his name and his father's name would disappear from the business world.

"Akashi-kun" Furihata's voice called him from his imagination "Let's go to my house."

-chapter break-

Now what was he doing in a small like a horse closet size house. Pissing? His closet was three times bigger than this. Not like he would tell that to his boyfriend's mother, who currently giving him goofy smile and shaking his hand like a sport machine.

"M-Mom...stop it" Furihata came up and an unnoticed sigh escaped his mouth. Akashi made his way out after flashing a smile and spotted his signal to go upstairs ahead of him.

As he spotted a blue door with cute sign on it, he huffed. When he opened the room, a wave of sudden relieve came washed over him. It's always like this since the first time. He could remember when he almost fell asleep after opening the door. The room atmosphere felt different from his own room. Here it's all about warmth and care. There always work and stuff. Only at times like this he would relax himself. He blinked twice. Since when did the house get tilted all of a sudden? Is it spinning?

"Oof!"

Akashi tilted his head. A look of worry met his. It seemed like he almost dozed off in the doorway. Luckily Furihata came up behind him at the right time to catch him before falling to the ground. Really.. He is like a super hero.

"Kou....." He sleepily called.

The brunette only smiled and helped him get into his bed. Akashi didn't trash out or anything. Instead, he accepted his boyfriend's help, which really made the slightly taller one worried sick.

Usually Akashi wouldn't even let him help or even take him to his bed. No matter how hard work is or tired he is, he would swayed to his bed and fell asleep. Not this time. It means that his lover had been done this time.

7 years in his life didn't mean lazing off or just having a part-time only. He also mustered up some muscle along the way. Now he could use them to easily lift his lover's bridal style and tugged him in with blankets. A smile tugged on the latter's lips as he saw his serious lover drifted off to sleep. His finger unconsciously moved some red strands away. He looked innocent with putting his guards down. A lot more innocent then him actually. The brunette chuckled when the body stirred slightly. He let his boyfriend rest while he took something for awhile.

When topaz and ruby orbs cracked open, his nose caught a certain pleasant smell of something relaxing.

"Y-You're awake?" Furihata asked holding two mug of mysterious liquid. He was sure it wasn't water.

"What is that?" Akashi asked.

He's not a fool. Since he knew his mind was still blurred, he wouldn't even made an attempt to sit. Furihata knew that and put those mugs down.

"I-It's som-something to m-make you r-relax" he said nervously. He sat on the bed side, helping his now awaken boyfriend. He was sure Akashi's body felt sluggish from the sudden long nap. Carefully he placed the man so he was leaning against his body.

"H-Here you go" Furihata said while handing a mug. As he proceed to take it, a strong smell overwhelmed his nostrils.

"Peppermint?" Akashi asked which Furihata replied with a nod.

"I-It's your favorite and it could h-help your body relax too" he smiled sheepishly.

Akashi stared dumbly. Since when did the brunette knew what his favorite drink? And peppermint isn't something common here so...

Suddenly Akashi slapped a hand over his pretty face. Furihata was startled obviously and almost spilled the contain of the green mug he was holding. The brunette immediately asking what happened. Another lightning bolt struck him as he saw a beet sheet of red across his lover's face.

"I couldn't handle you..." Said the red as cherry boy

Furihata closed in and placed soft kiss on Akashi's cheek. The red head leaned down on his lover's embrace, which he usually wouldn't do, and they spent the evening dozing off in the ocean fragrance room.

This is a little embarrassing because I haven’t used a tablet in a literal decade, so this fanart looks like a 10 year old drew it, BUT I recently got a tablet for christmas (yes I opened it early don’t @ me santa) and decided to do a bit of fanart from the newest chapter of my favorite fanfic series. The current fic is called Storming the Castle by @courtingstars and the latest chapter straight killed me, I just had to get it out on virtual paper. Akashi is your typical action-fantasy Shōnen protagonist who's The Chosen One among his friends and/or family - his destiny is to defeat The Big Bad who wants to take over the world & save the universe from them.

Furihata is your average slice-of-life protagonist who just wants to survive his job & make it through his day while dealing with an abusive boss, some mean co-workers & a LOT of rude, entitled customers.

Somehow, by a twist of fate, one ends up in the other's story & the 2 meet. They form a close bond unlike anyone has ever seen before. But Akashi soon discovers he isn't the only one who has his eyes (and heart) set on Furihata...

Yay!!! Thanks for sending me these basically fic prompts and sending the brainworms reeling. I love fantasy so in my head Furi's the one who ends up in Akashi's world, but the genre conventions around Furi follow him. So anywhere he goes in a conflict-ridden fantasy land, he accidentally creates a slice-of-life scenario.

Akashi's at conflict with a warrior who he wants to recruitinto his army to defeat the Big Bad??? They decide to duel! The loser must heed to the demands of the winner.

Except because Furi's slice-of-lifeness is here, this turns into a conversation over a warm meal the cooks of each camp made, and they realize that they have more in common than not. Akashi is fascinated. Akashi's good at negotiations too! He often resolves conflict through delegation but what the fuck kinda delegation is going on a picnic!?!?! It works though, for some wild af reasons. So now Akashi's trying to figure him out.

Imagine if Akashi gets dropped into Furi's world and now every confrontation is a duel with the destiny of the world on the line....in the convenience store of some small corner in Tokyo. This would be so funny, I love this idea!!

Furihata, Murasakibara and Himuro walked towards Tokyo Dome City Attractions together as they had bumped into each other near Tokyo Dome City Hall, they chatted about everything and anything while they walked, enjoying some of the snacks Murasakibara provided and each other's company.

 ‘’Furichin,’’ Murasakibara began as he took a gulp of his juice bottle. ‘’How do you feel about Aka-chin?’’ He asked, looking at Furihata curiously.

 ‘’I’m quite curious about that too,’’ Himuro said, taking a bite from the chocolate bar Murasakibara had given him. ‘’We know that you used to be scared of him, but we can tell that isn’t the case anymore.’’ He continued. ‘’So how do you feel about him now?’’ He asked the brunet with a curious tilt of his head.

 They waited patiently as Furihata thought of how he wanted to respond.

 ‘’I,’’ He began, swallowing nervously. He thought about lying for a moment but then stopped himself as he realized that he had no reason to do that, that they were both his and Akashi’s friends and neither of them intended him harm. They were just simply curious about their friends' lives and he couldn’t really begrudge them that.

 He breathed in deeply, gathering his courage.

 ‘’I love him.’’ Furihata replied, the blush on his face intensifying, causing him to lift his hands to his flushed cheeks and patting them nervously in hopes of getting the heat he felt there to dissipate.

 Murasakibara and Himuro shared a glance before letting out a sigh of relief under their breath.

 ‘’Thank you.’’ Murasakibara said, a smile lighting up his features as he lifted one of his big hands and used it to gently pet Furihata’s hair affectionately.

 ‘’For what?’’ Furihata asked, confused, not aware of having done anything that requires being thanked and petted for.

 ‘’For loving Aka-chin.’’ Murasakibara responded, handing Furihata a chocolate bar.

 Furihata stared at Murasakibara for a moment before his lips stretched into a small smile. ‘’You are welcome, Murasakibara-kun.’’

 They continued walking in comfortable silence, just simply enjoying the light breeze that ruffled their hair and each other’s company.

   They arrived at Tokyo Dome City Attractions ticket booth at 8AM and found everyone, with the exception and Aomine and Kise who hadn’t arrived yet, already there already waiting for them.

 Akashi, Midorima and Takao had been talking about chess and shogi before Murasakibara, Himuro and Furihata arrived, dropping the conversation for later in favor of talking to the three that had just arrived.

 Kagami had his arm wrapped around Kuroko’s shoulders as he and Kuroko were standing to the side, talking softly about something Furihata couldn’t hear. It didn’t take look for their attention to turn towards the newcomers though.

 He unconsciously found himself staring at Seijuro before shaking his head and turning his gaze away from the man, blush staining his cheeks red, hoping Seijuro hadn’t noticed his staring.

 They exchanged greetings before settling into an easy conversation while they waited for Aomine and Kise to arrive, which they didn’t have to do for too long as 10 minutes later, the couple arrived and joined them by the booth where another round of greetings occurred before Kise took out the tickets from his wallet and handed them to the booth attendant in exchange for the bracelets that would allow them entry.

 They made their way to the map, checking it out and discussing which attraction they should try out first. They decided, in the end, to start it out easy and go on the merry go round first.

 And thus, their day began in earnest.

   Furihata and Seijuro separated, they had decided to take a small break while everyone else chose to go and enjoy the rides for a while longer before they would have to stop and go to get lunch.

 Akashi glanced at the brunet from the corner of his eyes curiously.

 He felt like Furihata had been acting odd today, the brunet had been quieter than usual, he would space out, stutter -Which hadn’t happened in a while- whenever Akashi spoke to him and he caught Furihata staring at him multiple times which caused the brunet to blush and turn his gaze away every time he realized he had been caught.

 It was like the first time they had met all over again -minus the twitching and trembling- and Akashi was worried.

 Had he done something to make the brunet uncomfortable?

 Had something happened and Kouki wasn’t comfortable talking to him about it?

 Whatever it was, he wanted to help the brunet.

 ‘’Kouki,’’ Akashi began, waiting until the brunet’s attention turned to him before continuing. ‘’Is there something wrong?’’ He asked, tilting his head to the side curious and concerned in equal amounts.

 Furihata’s brows furrowed. ‘’No, nothing. Why?’’ He asked, confused by the concern Akashi was displaying.

 ‘’Well,’’ Akashi started, unsure how to proceed. ‘’You’ve been really quiet and withdrawn today. Did something happen?’’

 Furihata hummed in understanding. ‘’Ah, no. I was just thinking that’s all.’’ He responded, waving his hands furiously in dismissal.

 Akashi felt relieved at hearing that. But now he was curious. What could the brunet have been thinking so hard about as to be as distracted as he had been since they had arrived to the amusement park.

 ‘’Thinking?’’ Akashi asked, hoping the brunet would elaborate. His brows lifted curiously as Furihata blushed and began fidgeting.

 Only for Akashi’s brows to furrow in confusion as Furihata stared at Akashi determinedly as if he had come to a decision of sorts.

 Akashi didn’t understand what sort of decision had to be made right now but he waited patiently for Kouki to talk.

 Furihata took a deep breath, staring directly into Akashi’s eyes as he began talking. ‘’I like you.’’ He said, exhaling loudly.

 Akashi’s brows furrowed in confusion even further. ‘’I know,’’ he replied. ‘’It’s kind of impossible to be friends with someone you didn’t like after all.’’ He responded with a chuckle. ‘’I like you too, Kouki.’’

 Furihata’s eyes widened as his mouth hung open, he had expected Seijuro to get what he meant immediately but it seems even Akashi had his dense moments. ‘’No!’’ Furihata yelped. ‘’That’s not what I meant, Sei!’’

 Akashi seemed to grow even more confused at his outburst if the expression on his face is anything to go by.

 Furihata’s blush intensified. ‘’I do like you as a friend, but I meant romantically.’’ He elaborated, voice growing softer by the end of the sentence.

 Akashi’s breathing stuttered as his eyes widened in shock, he had not expected to hear that.

 Though, it didn’t take long for that shock to be replaced with pure happiness.

 He had known that Furihata cared about him, otherwise the brunet wouldn’t have remained friends with him. Regardless of how scared of him Furihata might have been in the beginning, Akashi knew without a shadow of a doubt that if he Furihata had at any point in time felt that Akashi was cruel or was treating him badly, he would have left in a heartbeat.

 That’s why he knew that he had been a good friend to Furihata and that the beautiful, gorgeous, delightful human being standing in front of him cared for him.

But he hadn’t known that Furihata returned his feelings nor had he even expected for Furihata to be the first to confess if he did return said feelings.

 It’s not that Akashi had never planned to confess because he definitely was going to, he had planned to do so at the end of school and had planned to wait as long as was needed for Furihata’s response.

 And if Furihata had said no and wished to remain only as friends, Akashi would have respected it.

 And if the brunet had decided that he wanted nothing to do with Akashi, while it would sadden him, but he would have respected that as well and stayed away from the brunet.

 But, that wasn’t what had happened.

 Not only did Furihata return his feelings, he was also the one to confess.

 Akashi felt happiness well inside him. The only time he had been anywhere near as happy as he is now was when Furihata agreed to be his friend.

 And now, Furihata wanted to be something more, and honestly? Akashi felt like crying with how happy he felt.

 Akashi’s gaze softened, he placed one of his palms on Furihata’s waist as he pulled the brunet closer.

 ‘’I love you too, Kouki.’’ He replied, breathless at the affectionate gaze the brunet was directing towards him.

 Furihata out a relieved sigh, his lips stretching into a smile as he laid his hands on Akashi’s shoulders as Akashi wrapped his arms around Furihata’s waist. They stared at each other, their eyes light with the affection they held for each other, filled to the brim with a happiness they couldn’t contain.

 Akashi leaned down as Furihata tilted his head up, his eyes closing of their own accord as the space between their faces diminished.

 Furihata couldn’t help but sigh the moment their lips connected, he pressed himself closer to Seijuro, tightening his arms around the other man’s neck and feeling Seijuro’s arms tighten around his waist in turn before one of Seijuro’s hands left his waist and made itself home in his hair.

 The kiss went on for a few more second before they parted, faces inches apart as they stared into each other’s eyes and tried to get their breathing under control.

 They grinned at each other before closing their eyes as they pressed their foreheads together, content.

 ‘’Will you go out with me?’’ Akashi asked, not wanting to make assumptions, after all, liking and loving someone didn’t equal wanting to be with them.

 ‘’Yes.’’ Furihata replied, not even a hint of hesitation in his voice, causing Akashi’s smile to broaden.

 Finally, they were together.

 And for now, this was enough, they knew that there was no need to rush, they could take things as slowly as they want.

 Because, from now on, they had time.

 Now, they had all the time in the world to get to know each other, grow closer and spend all the time they wanted in each other’s company.

 Both Furihata and Akashi knew, at that moment, there was nothing they wanted more, the thought of all the time they will get to spend in each other’s company only making them happier.

Having decided it was time for lunch, Kuroko and the rest arrived at that moment, grinning at them excitedly as they had spotted the kiss on their way over.

 Furihata and Akashi were enveloped in a group hug and congratulated on getting together.

 Furihata and Akashi smiled affectionately at their friends and thanked them for their support before they made their way to a yakiniku and grilled meat restaurant for their much-needed lunch.

 Seijuro and Kouki held hands the whole way there as they chatted with everyone. They picked a booth and everyone squeezed together into it before Akashi ordered a huge amount of meat for them to grill, promising them it was his treat.

 When the meat arrived, they started grilling while they talked about everything and anything, though, mostly the conversation revolved around Akashi’s and Furihata’s just started relationship, with more expressed happiness mixed with some teasing by everyone else over how long they had danced around each other before finally getting together.

 They both laughed at their friends' antics, their free hands still interlocked beneath the table as they ate.

 They glanced at each other from the corner of their eyes, Akashi squeezing Furihata’s hand gently as Furihata leaned against Akashi, closing his eyes and letting out a happy sigh before returning his gaze towards his boyfriend and grinning, a grin which Akashi returned with a smirk before leaning over and gently pressing his lips against Furihata’s in a kiss that the brunet returned.

 They parted and Furihata leaned against Akashi again.

 If back when they had first met someone had told Furihata that he would become friends with and start dating Akashi Seijuro, he would’ve called them crazy.

 But now that he has gotten to know Akashi, he couldn’t have been happier.

 If they were this happy now, they wonder how much happier they could become with each other and they felt more than excited about the future.

A future they will spend together.

Ummm a Furiaka or Murahimu avatar AU?

If there is one thing Himuro wishes he could change about himself, it's his overwhelming jealousy for Benders.

(That's a lie. If he could change himself at all he would make himself a Bender. But that seems so pathetic and shameful that he wishes he didn't want that, so instead concentrates on the more practical wish of erasing his jealousy.)

He wants to believe it doesn't matter. He wants to believe that a non-Bender can achieve just as much as someone who can bend. But he grew up with a Firebender, being tutored by an Earthbender, and all things considered, he knows there are some things he's never going to be able to do.

When he meets Murasakibara it's a reminder of all the things he's not. Not a genius Earthbender, not physically strong, not naturally athletic, not from a powerful family, not famous for his skills. And this kind of human embodiment of everything that Himuro is not and never will be should be the kind of person Himuro avoids at all costs.

So he's not entirely sure what to do when Murasakibara starts following him around. 

At first he just ignores Murasakibara, figuring that will make him go away. When ignoring him doesn't work, he starts to feed him, since he's not sure what else to do. Finally, he just decides to ask.

"Why do you keep following me?"

Murasakibara munches on a snack Himuro had bought for him and then shrugs. "Murochin is restful."

This irritates him more than it should. "You have responsibilities. You can't just rest all the time. Your mother wants you to join the police force, and the king--"

"That's stupid, though. They just want me because I'm an Earthbender."

"A very powerful Earthbender," Himuro smiles, as if he isn't inwardly raging at Murasakibara dismissing all the accolades Himuro himself would kill for.

"Yeah, but that doesn't mean I should only be an Earthbender," Murasakibara says, and in a sulky voice adds, "or at least, it shouldn't."

Himuro opens and then closes his mouth, thinking through that for the first time. Then he says simply, "Yes, you're right. It shouldn't."
