i love having post ph ideas and no idea where on the timeline they go
#like. i know exactly how long it lasts like i set aside two calendars and picked starting and ending dates so i hope to use them#to plan what happens and when and to force myself to limit things#like. i dont actually have a ton of ideas yet#i know damien gets a cool story arc and bellum learns some art stuff and link learns blacksmithing#they have brief visits back to oshus’ world for periodic checkups on bellum’s uh. parole#ciela is scandalized to find out that linebeck not only has a boyfriend but that hes also somewhat involved with bellum too#theres a bit where they find and check out this… ruin? where it is capable of summoning the ghosts of people close to those who entered#so damien gets to come out to his (dead) parents and it goes well :) and linebeck curses out one or both of his parents#he probably curses out and threatens to attack his father and has a mixed thing with his mother#link briefly gets to see the korl. bellum either sees no one or wades through dead armies#theres some asshole pirate captain who declares himself linebecks nemesis but linebeck just wants to kill him and be done with it#things escalate from there he and his crew are reoccurring antagonists causing typical pirate issues#i think things between link and tetra get worse and then they get kinda better. they meet with her crew periodically#theres an overarching plot but thats still being hammered out#i think theyll get the master sword. they somehow revisit ganondorf’s… corpse? and likely get the sword#either the master sword itself or its base goddess sword form. either way the idea is like. fi has done her job so she can rest#like demise’s curse has ended he has given up so her job is finally complete yknow? she can rest once and for all#rn its a handful of big stuff tied together by vague overarching plot plus just slice of life adventure stuff with exploring different#islands and meeting people and seeing different civilizations and helping em out and stuff#less looking for a new hyrule and more exploring what settlements already exist if that makes sense#post ph#salty talks

Headcannon
When a princess of Hyrule is born, their first name is automatically Zelda, however their middle name will be unique to them. When either a) they ascend the throne or b) there are no other living female members of the Hyrulean royal family, they will take on Zelda as their name. Otherwise they will be known by their middle name.
Some middle name headcannons (I haven’t figured out names for all of them yet):
Skyward Sword - Zelda Hyrule, since she’s the first
Ocarina of Time - Zelda Lyra Hyrule aka Sheik, since they use a lyre and bc OoT heavily features music
Wind Waker - Zelda Tetra Hyrule, nuff said (also I think her mom never got around to telling her her actual first name, which is why she doesn’t find out until in-game)
Spirit Tracks - Zelda Anima Hyrule, since “anima” means spirit in Latin (6 years of Latin coming in handy :D)
Twilight Princess - Zelda Tenebra Hyrule, since “tenebris” means darkness in Latin
Link Between Worlds - Zelda Hilda Hyrule, bc *parallels* (Hilda’s full name is Hilda Zelda Lorule coincidentally)
Hyrule Warriors - Zelda Atalanta Hyrule, after the Greek mythological figure Atalanta (because Atalanta has myths around running and in HW you run around maps a lot but also bc they’re both bad*ss)
Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom - Zelda Diantha Hyrule, since according to the Internet, “Diantha” means divine flower in Greek, which fits with her Silent Princess motif
Diantha’s Mother - Zelda Aquila Hyrule, since “aquila” means eagle in Latin, which is why she and Urbosa call Diantha “Little Bird”
10,000 years before Breath of the Wild - Zelda Mirae Hyrule, since “mirae” means future in Korean (bc obviously I’m gonna flaunt being bilingual from childhood), which goes with the futuristic Sheikah tech that originated from that time period (side note: I headcannon she’s Sonia’s granddaughter and she worked with the Sheikah to recreate Zonai tech after seeing malice beginning to leak out of dehydrated Ganondorf)
Sonia - Zelda Sonia Hyrule, self-explanatory (side note: I like to think that Hyrule fell into ruin sometime after the end of more traditional Zelda games and Sonia and Rauru reestablished the kingdom, and this new Hyrule is the one from BotW and TotK)

My headcannons on the founding of New Hyrule, part 1
-While the name of Hyrule doesn't mean anything in the current world, Link and Tetra do decide to name the country they'll build after Hyrule because Link wants to honor the memory of King Daphnes and Tetra wants to honor her mother who was a descendant of the royal family. But to make their dream country they encounter dificulties from the start.
-The Great Sea region was given it's name by sailors from other countries such as Labrynna and Holodrom who eventually forgot about Hyrule same as it's people did after countless generations.
-Per Wind Waker’s plot, after Hyrule was sunk to the bottom of an enormous ocean, the people who escaped the flood and other countries forgot almost everything about Hyrule, even the name. The resulting region came to be known as The Great Sea
-The Hylians and the other races who inhabited the land (except for the Gorons who left the region almost instantly) eventually settled into some islands and became the communities in the game.
-Windfall and Greatfish island became trading outposts between other countries as well as for the remaining Hylians.
-But the Great Sea also became a refuge and hunting ground for pirates and miscreants from all over the world. At least for those though enough to survive in a wide ocean with no fish and bearly any land.
-This, and the Great Sea’s conditions making it so that Hylians couldn’t get by without outside trade made them unable to develop further than Windfall island.
-They probably wouldn’t even have made to the present had it not been for the royal line which started to pry on the pirates who settled at the Great Sea.
-For generations, there had been someone from that line keeping the pirates relatively at bay. Some to protect the people, others because of greed.
-The latest master of the Great Sea was an infamous captain who went by the name of Madame Dusk (The adult timeline version of TP’s Zelda), called as such because making her mad ensured you’d never see the day again.
-Despite this, she still had a heart behind her usually cold and ruthless demeanor, especially for her daughter Tetra.
-The death of Madame Dusk sent the pirates into a frenzy who started to get much bolder in their pillaging. Tetra was able to survive all of that and even managed to defeat some crews.
-Tetra’s strength of character at such an age impressed Dusk’s crew so much they made her their captain shortly before Ganondorf appears.
-When Ganondorf appeared in the Great Sea and violently took over the Forsaken Fortress, nearly all the pirates scattered away from the region in fear of him. The only ones who didn't were Tetra and her crew.
-But shortly after the events of Phantom Hourglass, word of Ganondorf's defeat spreaded and the pirates started to come back to claim Ganondorf's turf.
-Some of them though, were discouraged of the thought because they figured that whoever was capable of defeating Ganondorf was just as fearsome as him.
-Sure enough, most of those pirates were met with not only Madame Dusk's daughter; the cunning and unforgiving Captain Tetra; but also her newest recruit. A boy by the name of Link who was famed as the Hero of the Winds in Windfall Island and who supposedly dealt the finishing blow to Ganon.
-Of course, most didn’t believe that the one who killed Ganon was just 13, until they saw his skill first hand.
-Most of the pirates came to fear them and some to outright hate them in jealous anger.
-This is starting to get somewhat long, so I'll post a new part for this in another time

Absolutely love the idea of Ganondorf actually genuinely trying to give advice, but he's just The Worst (affectionate). He's just awful and he's so babygirl about it
yeah!! tbh i think even in canon he is capable of feeling genuine love/care/sentimentality, if him having his swords engraved with the names of his mothers is any indication, or trying to care for tetra to some extent while she’s being held captive, but his life also just hasn’t been conducive to the kind of person who can communicate those things in a constructive way? and at best sometimes it comes out in the form of unsolicited advice, because he’s very self-centered and tends to project his own experiences onto other people. despite being otherwise really good at reading/interpreting other people’s emotions. if that makes any sense, lol
especially when he’s younger tho, i feel like he would have a tricky time parsing the difference between love & hatred? and keep conflating the two? so he ends up being kind of antagonistic to people he loves, and also has a tendency to try and make people despise him because he’s way more comfortable with being hated than being loved? and has this weird thing where he thinks gestures of genuine affection are inherently deceptive somehow? this is all just my personal feelings about him but yeah. im cracking his skull open like a walnut and poking around in there

Echoes of Wisdom Headcanon Countdown
༺ Day 12 ▪︎ 89 Left
In The Wind Waker, Tetra is put through one hell of a time in the final act - that being a transformation she didn't ask for and an entire identity being thrown onto her. Up until that point, I don't think Tetra had ever had a point where she questioned herself at all. She was always confident, always the boss, and never had any doubt in her mind about it. That's how her mother raised her, after all. I can imagine that Tetra held her own against Ganondorf for quite some time when he arrived for the Triforce of Wisdom - but it was her own state of mind that caused her (and possibly her Triforce) to slip up. Wisdom is finding a solution through what you already know, and Tetra may have believed she didn't really know herself at all anymore. (Thus making the final boss very satisfying to her. It was probably cathartic to keep shooting Light Arrows at Ganondorf).

I have some questions about your AU! I am sorry that they are just basic ones, since I am a somewhat recent follower who found you through your beautiful redesigns, and I am just getting into your AU storyline too. I was wondering what if any relationship your Sheik has to Zelda in this version of events. Are they still meant to be the same physical person? Is it just that in your AU Sheik is just the sole identity, having never grown up a prince(ss), or as just a separate incarnation of Zelda, the way Tetra is? Or is your Sheik simply a different person from Zelda entirely? If so, I would be curious what role Zelda plays if she also appears in this AU, whether as the Princess or an incarnation like Tetra, etc, though if you don’t want to give away spoilers I understand completely! (Also, what are the preferred pronouns you would have people use for your Sheik? Sorry if I missed that somewhere!)
Hi ty for the ask! I’ll start from reverse somewhat on your questions! To start of
Sheik is genderqueer, tbh I see Sheik’s gender as Sheik not identifying himself with any gender tho to me genderqueer fits best in her criteria :]. Sheik goes by only He/Him and She/Her pronouns!
This isn’t somewhat of a spoiler as I have hinted at it pretty explicitly a lot I made a short amv about it like two years ago (I gotta remake it someday)! Sheik is the royal child of the Hyrulean family, Sheik’s biological father is King Rhoam and his biological mother is Queen Layra she is a Sheikah and King Rhoam is a Royal Hylian. That makes Sheik Half Sheikah/Half Hylian. Btw I am referring to Sheik in her current name cause the King and Queen named Sheik, Zelda. I do intentionally avoid calling Sheik, Zelda, as that is no longer his name. The name Sheik was given to her by Ganondorf. I think implied it pretty well what happened and how Ganondorf was able to acquire Sheik when baby in my prologue comic for my au.
To summarize, 17 years ago the Calamity attacks and destroys Hyrule also killing both the King and Queen of Hyrule. The Champions Urbosa, Revali, and Daruk. Ganondorf rescuing baby Sheik, in his last resort, he hides in the Korok Woods and is given aid by Navi.
My comic that I’m currently working on takes place 17 years after the attack of the Calamity. Sheik doesn’t know about her royal past but Ganondorf and Navi do. But Ganondorf intentionally not only kept Sheik’s past a secret but also his. As he wants Sheik to have a normal life living in the woods and doesn’t want any burden weighing on Sheik. Ganondorf raised Sheik as his child and Ganondorf loves her very much so does Sheik love his dad a lot <3 I hope this overall summary of Sheik and the story helps!!

Wind Waker - oneshot
I forgot I hadn’t finished putting these oneshots up yet XD Wind Waker’s turn! With a healthy focus on Tetra/Link :)
———————————————————
Tetra ducked under a cutlass that swung at her, the blade so close to her head she felt the swish as it went past.
“Why are there still pirates out here other than you?” Link grunted from behind her, parrying a sword that tried to lop his arm off. “Don’t they know better?”
Tetra huffed, kicking a different pirate that had gotten too close for comfort.
“Evidently these morons didn’t get the memo. Plus we’re a ways outside my usual sailing grounds, these idiots probably didn’t even know we existed until now. Thought we’d be easy pickings.”
She grumbled, ducking under the same sword again. So much for a quiet afternoon.
Their course had been set for Outset to restock their supplies and for Link to visit his family, the sea was calm, the sun was bright, and Link had been trying to teach himself a new knot one of the sailors on Windfall had shown him. Tetra had been going between keeping an eye on their course to teasingly critiquing his work, pointing out whenever he’d looped a strand the wrong way or pulled a knot too tight.
Link had been taking it with the occasional insult flipped back at her, and she’d gotten so distracted by their back-and-forth that was maybe flirting that when Gonzo spotted the ship off in the distance, she barely had time to react before they’d been overtaken and boarded.
Stupid mostly uncharted waters.
She finally disarmed the pirate that’d been trying to lop her head off, and she roughly kicked him backwards, allowing him to scramble back to his own ship.
Coward, Tetra thought with a snort, leaping forward to stop another pirate from slicing at Senzo while his back was turned.
She chased that one off her ship after mere seconds as well, then went after a couple more, each one fleeing after only a few moments of fighting her. Tetra panted as she took only a second to catch her breath, and looked around for a new target.
She’d gotten a bit aways from Link in the last few minutes, and as she caught sight of his distinctive blue shirt, she narrowed her eyes, seeing him face who couldn’t have been anyone but the opposing ship’s captain.
He was a tall, lanky man, with pale eyes and a dark beard that did little to hide his missing teeth, and an ugly leering smile that reminded her a bit too much of Ganondorf’s. He and Link were exchanging blows with their swords, but Tetra could see the opposing captain was remarkably quick, and somehow holding his own against her boyfriend.
Tetra wrinkled her nose in distaste at the slimy pirate, and she started to make her way towards the two in case Link needed backup.
She had to fight back several more pirates on the way, hadn’t she already chased off that guy, while also keeping a close eye on the sword fight Link was currently engaged in.
She was nearly there when something in the opposing captain’s face changed, an ugly sort of realization as Link easily parried yet another blow. Tetra sped her steps up as she watched the captain grab something from inside his coat, something small and bright that he thrust forward—
Shink
Tetra didn’t think she’d ever heard a more terrifying noise in her life.
Link made a small noise of confusion, then dropped to his knees, staring at the dagger embedded in his side with a puzzled expression on his face.
The captain grinned and Tetra screamed, a wordless mix of rage and fear for her best friend. She charged at the man who’d stabbed Link, sword flashing as she sliced at him and he easily parried it away.
He’d stabbed her best friend he’d stabbed her boyfriend and HE WAS GOING TO PAY.
Tetra knew her rage was making her sloppy, and a voice that sounded suspiciously like her mother’s chided her for letting it fuel her, but she didn’t care, Link had been stabbed.
The opposing captain was somehow managing to hold his own despite her rapid hits, and when Tetra accidentally overextended herself he struck, slicing quickly and knocking her blade right out of her hands. He kicked her to the ground before she could react and planted a boot on her back, pressing down so tightly she could barely breathe no less get out from under it.
His mouth hitched up into a smirk behind his beard as he raised his cutlass, and Tetra thrashed under his foot, mind racing as she looked for a way out of this. Her sword was too far away, she couldn’t reach her pistol, Link was hurt and all she could do was yell in frustration and anger as the sword swung downwards toward her back.
Then the blade was parried with a firm clash.
Tetra stared in astonishment as suddenly Link was by her side, parrying the blade and shoving the opposing pirate captain in the chest with a furious look. The kick along with the reappearance of the teenager he thought he’d stabbed surprised the man so much that he was knocked completely off-balance, and went flying straight over the edge of the boat with a distant splash.
“Link?!”
Tetra gaped at him as she rolled over and got her breath back, and he turned to her, holding a hand out as he studied her intently.
“Are you okay?” he asked in a worried voice, and she gawked at him as she pointedly sat up without his help and ignored her now-sore middle.
“Am I okay?! Link you were just stabbed how are you standing?” she spluttered, and Link’s worried face turned to a smug one. He grinned at her, then held up the thick rope he’d been knotting before the attack.
A knife was embedded deep in the knots, the same one Tetra thought had been buried in his ribs.
“Turns out it’s hard to get stabbed through knots this thick,” he grinned, giving it a swing. “Remind me to thank that guy on Windfall.”
Tetra felt a wave of relief soak through her as she stared at Link, barely paying attention to her crew driving off the rest of the pirates behind them. She leaned forward until her face was a few inches from the freckles that faintly dotted his nose, really looking at him and reassuring herself he was okay.
And then, having reassured herself, she socked Link in the stomach.
He grinned, but stumbled more then he usually would have at her punch, wincing slightly through his smile. Tetra had to grab his arm to stop him from tripping and she felt her worry flare up again as he blinked at her.
“Of course... it might have nicked me a little,” he mumbled sheepishly, and Tetra glared at him, helping him sit down onto the deck and lifting up his shirt.
A smallish smear of blood coated his side, a moderately deep cut bleeding sluggishly. It wasn’t a life-threatening stab wound like it would have been but for his knots, but she could tell it wasn’t pretty.
“You are such an idiot,” Tetra snapped at him, then yelled for Niko to bring the bandages over. “How in the great sea did he manage to stab you anyways? You’re the hero of Winds for Din’s sake!”
“Was faster then he looked,” Link winced as she pressed some rags to his side. “Surprisingly well trained for a pirate too— ow!”
Niko finally arrived with the bandages and Tetra snatched them from him before shooing him away. She quickly began patching up Link, wiping the blood off and wrapping the cloth snuggly around his side and making sure it would stay secure while she muttered angrily to herself.
She leaned back to check her handiwork after a minute, and nodded to herself. It looked nice and tight to her. She was about pull Link’s shirt back down when it abruptly dawned on her that she’d just been putting her hands all over his chest.
His bare chest.
She felt an unusual warmth start to sneak onto her face, and she cleared her throat, quickly yanking her hands back. Link gave her a slightly concerned look, but she staunchly refused to look straight at him and his largely uncovered chest, wiping off the small amount of blood she’d gotten on her hands.
This was absolutely ridiculous. There was no reason for the flush in her cheeks she knew was there, she was around shirtless guys all the time! She was beyond used to it, half the time her own crew didn’t bother with the garments!
But... Link never really took his off. Which meant she really hadn’t seen him shirtless before now...
For Nayru’s sake.
“Tetra?”
She finally looked over at him again, those stupid blue-green eyes of his sparkling at her in the sunshine.
“Sorry for scaring you,” he said quietly, only half-guessing the reason for her agitation. “I really wasn’t trying to get stabbed.”
She huffed, trying to calm down from all the... everything that had happened in the past ten minutes. Goddesses was she a mess. This sort of thing never used to rattle her.
“Nobody is ever trying to get stabbed,” she grumbled, straightening her bandana, “and pirate captains don’t get scared. They merely extend concern for their crew. It’s much different.”
Link’s mouth quirked up into a grin. “Oh yeah?”
She crossed her arms. “Yeah.”
He tilted his head at her, and blinked innocently.
“But I’m not technically one of your crew,” he said, and Tetra huffed. “Which means you can be worried for me all you like.”
He sat up then, wincing only a bit as he straightened and tugged his shirt down. Leaning over closer to her, he gave her a reassuring smile to show he was perfectly fine, and something about the expression broke her resolve, making her throat feel thick.
She leaned forward and pulled him into a quick hug, breathing in the slight crisp, windy smell he always had about him. Tucking her chin onto his shoulder, she swallowed, reassuring herself he really wasn’t bleeding out on her deck like her mother all those years ago.
“Don’t do that again,” she muttered into his shoulder, and he nodded as he held her back, gently squeezing her.
“I won’t.”
They held each for a few more seconds, then Tetra pulled back and socked him squarely on the arm, making him startle.
“And that’s for scaring me.”
Link only grinned in response.

I like to think Hyrule has one of those cultures that doesn’t have strict oppressive norms surrounding gender and sex. I mean, there are a lot of very powerful female historical figures and dieties in their culture so, typical sexism wouldn’t make sense in any of their cultures.
Also, not only Link, but quite a few characters engage in gender fuckery without getting even so much as a double-take from other people. Wearing a backless dress and short shorts today, Link? Cool. Nobody seems to give a shit unless he’s literally only wearing his underpants.
- None of the male characters ever get shamed by other characters for being a little 💅
-Sheik/Zelda in oot never got shit for being a dude for 7 years. Ntm, in the manga, Link blatantly states that he’s attracted to Sheik while still fully believing he’s a guy, making him canonically bisexual as far as the manga goes.
- There is no goddamn chance that the majority of gerudo are straight. They are a 99.9% female population where the majority of them don’t even speak to men between the ages of 5-18. The Romans didn’t have a situation like that and they were still gay as shit, so…. I mean, if we’re being realistic here…
- I’m pretty sure the main reason you don’t see a lot of female solider NPCs in most games is to save on asset resources. A LOT of games will only make the male models and then stop there for the reason, even if the culture isn’t sexist. However, in botw there are both male and female zora soldiers. And in totk there even seems to be female hylian soldiers. So, I don’t think women are banned from fighting or anything like that. It wouldn’t even really make sense due the amount of powerful female figures that are deeply-rooted in Hyrule’s history.
-In Wind Waker, Tetra’s role as captain was inherited by her mother. Not one person in their all-male crew comments on how either of them are female. It never even comes up as an issue.
- The royal family is clearly doesn’t prioritize male heirs over female ones. It also doesn’t even seem seem to be a matriarchy. It seems to be mainly based around Hylia’s bloodline, but will still intermarry outside their family because they don’t want a “Habsburg incident”
-Not even Ganondorf, the literal antichrist, makes any sexist remarks towards any women in the series. Though, this could be due more to him being a gerudo, and thus raised to view women as equal to, or perhaps even more powerful than men.

It's funny I don't ship ganonbeck (linebeck x ganondorf) but that's cause in my headcanon ganondorf did meet linebeck but it was under horrible circumstances.
So in wind waker, tetra mentions that the forsaken fortress was once a place that her competitors reside,(tho implied it was her mother that dealt with them, not tetra) than the new owner basically...implied by the broken ships... killed off the previous owners... This implies Ganondorf killed the previous owners.
I headcanon linebeck was apart of that crew and Ganondorf spared his life cause he noticed he was part gerudo.

Did a bit of family tree shenanigans for the Court. I’ll give a bit more about their familial backgrounds below. Also possible spoilers for Aurora and Fable whole relationship, since it’s a big plot point that they don’t know how they’re related to each other, but since the story isn’t out yet, I guess it’s okay?
Tumblr media
For more background on the girls’ families and future relationships:
{Sun} -
Sun’s family is quite simple, which does reflect her simpler lifestyle. Her mother died when Sun was quite young so she doesn’t remember much of her, though seems to like how her father, Gaepora, remembers her. As her father runs the Knight Academy, she grew up learning the ways of the school and grew to graduate as a top student in both studies and combat. In the future, she does go on to marry her childhood sweetheart, Sky, and have a family with him when they came to the Surface and first established Hyrule as a small village, which would later become an actual kingdom.
{Dot} -
Dot is a fourth generation royal, meaning that she is Sun and Sky’s great granddaughter, and thus directly related. She grew up hearing about her great grandparents’ feats and is one of the more religious as she grew up knowing she was related to a goddess. Her parents are very cautious about her, which sometimes becomes overbearing. To prevent her from leaving the castle, Dot was put in charge of guarding the Four Sword and its shrine, of which was forged by her close friend, Four, though she often manages to sneak by anyway. Dot goes on to marry another nobleman from a neighbouring kingdom to create an alliance. Unfortunately, Dot cannot say it was a happy one, but stayed incredibly close with Four, who only encouraged her to keep her younger self alive through it all.
{Lullaby} -
Lullaby grew up with a very absent mother and a confusing relationship with her father, who would rarely listen to her and often ignored her for ‘royal business’, but adored her dearly. Instead, she grew attached to her caretaker, Impa, and saw her as a mother she never got to have. Here, two major things happened depending on which timeline is followed.
When Ganondorf took over Hyrule in the Fallen and Adult timelines, Lullaby had to take on the alias of a Sheikah boy named Sheik, go into hiding, and train to survive under Impa’s care. Impa died protecting Lullaby from an ambush of monsters, and left her alone to survive. After this, Lullaby took Sheik in as a part of her identity and found comfort in him. Whether Time dies or not, Lullaby is found to be deeply affected by the deaths around her and decides to never take anyone in as family again to avoid the heartbreak, though knows she has to continue a lineage and marries a nobleman from a different kingdom. She becomes an absent mother in her grief, and little does she know that she became the very women she came to forget.
However, in the Child timeline, nothing of that sort happens, and with a young Time’s word, is able to get Ganondorf executed before he can destroy the kingdom. Lullaby grows closer to Impa and as she nears adulthood, comes to understand her father’s constant work and absence as she is made to take a portion on herself, though equally becomes frustrated by his ways. An arranged marriage is made to take place between her and a nobleman from a nearby kingdom, though behind that man’s back, she has an affair with another and has a child, who would become Dusk’s father. She masquerades the child as the nobleman’s in order to keep him safe and secure in his life.
{Tetra} -
Tetra never truly liked her family, with a mother and father too attached to their tiny island life and a sister she was the complete opposite too, she felt isolated when she admitted she wanted to venture around the oceans. Her parents owned a boat with a small crew themselves to make money off of fishing, so Tetra was often found wanting to sail off further than she was really allowed to. One night, at 17 years old, she met Gonzo, whom she struck a deal with to go out to sea on his ship in order for her work. Gonzo, who began with very few people on his ship, happily accepted the help, and eventually found that Tetra had become a pseudo-leader for the ship due to her prior experience, soon becoming the captain herself. After HH, Tetra continued to run her ship, but sustained a severe injury during a boarding action with another ship after founding New Hyrule and found she couldn’t continue sailing. She was forced to live on the lands of New Hyrule and taught others to sail and adventure, leaving Wind and Gonzo in charge of the ship. The crew visit often as they consider her family and vice versa. Tetra went on to take in a little girl as her own during lessons, and once finding out that the girl felt isolated from her family due to her sense of adventure, took her in as if she were a second mother. She even considered the girl’s daughter her grandchild.
{Fable} -
Fable and Legend grew up together under their parent’s supervision until they were about 9 and 10, when Legend ran away from home and disowned himself from the royal family to live with the two’s uncle. A few years prior, their parents were assassinated while on a business trip to a neighbouring country, and so were taken into their grandfather’s care, who was the current king. Due to his strict, no-nonsense attitude, Fable adopted this, however it overwhelmed Legend, making him feel as if he were trapped in a cage. The two never stayed separated though, as they often managed to find themselves re-united through the various ways people have tried to destroy the kingdom, steal the Triforce etc. In the future, Fable learns to become more laidback as she becomes Queen, and marries a man outside of the royal family, and having twins, who really resembled their father more than anyone else. Her and Legend occasionally find themselves interacting, though they’ve been raised so differently, they barely recognise each other. Fable truly has a deep affection for Legend, and Legend could probably say the same for her once he works out how to deal with his emotions, though they’re both too prideful to admit it.
{Aurora} -
Aurora and her twin brother, who she fondly nicknames ‘Princey’ (or just ‘Prince’ for short), grew up with a very doting once-peasant father and sterner, more serious mother. For the first decade of her life, Aurora was brought up by both her parents, though when her mother died and her father was cast aside as he was originally from a lower-class, she and her brother grew up around her caretaker, Impa. However, she never really bonded with her parents in the first place, as she saw her mother as too strict and up-tight and her father as a people-pleaser, and so connected with her uncle and his freeloader of a roommate instead by sneaking out of the castle, and thus took mostly after him. Later in life, Aurora mends her relationship with Dawn and finds a kind of closure in her brother’s death through her. She connects even closer with Hyrule through their shared experience, and in some ways, Aurora sees a lot of Legend’s influence in Hyrule that wasn’t there beforehand. The two, with their abnormal aging, go on to leave Dawn to her royal business in the castle and stay forever bound to one another in the forests and sacred Fairy Fountains until their deaths. They never had children, but became the legend that began the Lover’s Pond rumour.
{Dawn} -
Dawn grew up with her mother and father for all 17 years of her life until HH, though like other’s they were quite absent as they were incredibly involved in the Hyrulean Royal Council and Advisors, meaning that she too was brought up by her caretaker, Impa. However, she was quite independent of Impa, and often strived to impress her parents and the council to the point she became quite frail from exhaustion and overworking, so much so that she had to pad her outfits for her to gain a healthier-looking body shape. All of which goes unnoticed by her parents, who are just proud of her hard-work and high effort. When Aurora was woken from her slumber, this was amplified by 100, and with the succession crisis, Era of Decline, and the food and water poisonings from Ganon, her health took a decline. After HH, it only got worse and she eventually died of malnutrition before the age of 30. With Aurora effectively giving up her role as a royal princess and with Dawn being unmarried and childless, the Fallen Timeline’s lineage of Zeldas technically ends with Dawn.
{Dusk} -
Dusk grew up a relatively lonely life as she was already an incredibly introverted child, though very athletic. Dusk grew up hearing of Ganondorf and his execution and feared the man every day of her life, leading her to throw herself into sword-fighting in case it were ever needed. Her parents never cared much for what Dusk did, as long as she was happy, healthy, and grew up to take on the mantle as Queen. She had one of the most normal childhoods out of anyone in the Court, actually. When the Twilight Realm merged into Hyrule, however, her parents became spirits and unfortunately, Dusk never saw them again. After HH, Dusk led an equally lonely life as her childhood, with anxieties over her curse and Ganondorf, as well as having very little friends or even acquaintances she connected with after Midna broke the mirror and Twilight returned to Ordon, which all caused her to rule from behind closed doors. Her royal advisors arranged for her to be married in hopes that it would bring her out of her room, though it never worked, even after she had a child, raising them too from the safe confines of her most private rooms.
{Athena} -
Athena grew up with only her mother and closest friend/person servant, Impa, though her mother died in a previous war many years before the War of Ages, leaving Athena and Impa to raise themselves amongst the servants of the castle. Athena grew up attached to sword-fighting and combat as she idolized the legends of heroes that fought to protect her country, though was quickly reminded that she was a princess and no hero has ever be a woman. Athena is directly related to the Child Timeline before the war, making her Dusk’s distant great-something granddaughter. Once HH has finished and she returns to her own time, she chases the adventure she yearned for as a child that she only got a taste of, and so under an arranged marriage, married Warriors so he could help her with that. In reality, the two remain platonic friends and Athena goes off to have an ‘affair’ with another person that alongside brings a child. She presents the child as if it were her and Wars’ though in truth, he has no connection to the baby and doesn’t want any children himself, instead raising the child as if he were an uncle.
{Flora} -
We all know about Flora’s family. Her mother died when Flora was young, and her father raised her from the moment he knew the Calamity would occur so that Flora would get her Goddess Powers, hellbent on the idea it would stop the Calamity. Then he died. Other than Impa, Flora had no other friends as she was so heavily sheltered during her life, though grew wholly attached to Urbosa as a mother figure as she was Flora’s mother’s close friend. On her 17th birthday, the Calamity struck and wiped out most of Hyrule, including her closest friends; the five Champions of Hyrule. After HH, Flora goes on to live with Wild as a roommate since she has thoroughly accepted that the monarchy most likely won’t be re-instated after a century without it. She is thoroughly happy to live as Wild’s companion, despite the bad memories and trauma it brings, as she has always expressed more joy in travelling and science and nature than being a princess locked away in a castle due to her lineage.

Tetra is, in many ways, just like all the past princesses of Hyrule. Inquisitive, curious, and hungry for knowledge - if Power craves strength, Wisdom craves knowledge.
But Tetra is also very much like her Gerudo father. She carries herself with the assurance of someone who knows Power and how to wield it properly, and Ganondorf quickly comes to learn that she's inherited just as many - if not more - traits from him, as she has from her mother.
------
In which the unlikely duo of father and daughter bond over sparring, and Tetra suddenly has to get used to living with an adult who will not stop parenting her.
Or: Ganondorf cares. Both of them have a hard time understanding why.

Fic Prompts: Wind Waker Wednesday
Theres a Wind Waker au in my head and it won't leave. So here's the context before the snippet.
Basically, when Hyrule floods, Impa and several other Sheikah fight a losing battle to save as many people as they can. In a controversial move, Impa warps to the desert to try to save the Gerudo. For her, it's a penance for the crimes her ancestors committed against the Gerudo in the Shadow Temple.
Hyrule floods, and thousands of species and records and treasures are lost forever. Ganondorf rises and is determined to bring it all back, no matter the cost. He believes he is the sole surviving Gerudo, and it's taken a massive toll on his overall mental and emotional health even without Demise whispering in the back of his mind.
Aryll, being the sweetheart she is, actually manages to get it out of him that his whole family drowned. Being like, eight, she jumps to the conclusion that his bird is kidnapping Hylian girls because its master misses his daughters and its just trying to help. Ganondorf finds her naivete somewhat endearing, and allows her to wander the fortress when she wants to.
Meanwhile the Gerudo are not extinct. They've become a sort of integrated culture with the surviving Sheikah, in seven tribes -- each descended from one of Ganondorf's daughters who survived the flood -- in floating cities. A son from the Laroba tribe married Zelda's great-great-granddaughter, making Tetra a Sheik-Gerudo and Hylian Royal by blood. She usually only sees her cousins during reunions, but they occasionally cross paths on the open ocean.
Tetra calls on some of her Aunts and cousins to help her when Link needs to save Aryll. Gerudo kids Ganno, Imp, Nabi, and Zumi arrive with Aunt Karsh, Grandmother Ramella, Aunt Aveil, and Ancient Grandmother Impa, and Ganondorf gets the shock of his life.
Ultimately he's given the choice to leave his fortress and be part of a community again. To be a grandfather and great-grandfather, respected for his memory of the Before times and loved just for being one of them.
Link, who is 12 and much too young to be a warrior, keeps dropping hints with the subtlety of a freight train that if Ganondorf does this, he won't have to fight him anymore
________________________________________
"Voba'ba! Is it true that Gerudo used to live on a beach so big you couldn't even see the ocean?"
"Voba'ba, I can stand on my head, look!"
"Voba'ba, all we have are the legends passed down by our foremothers. Were sons really so rare before the flood?"
"Voba'ba, what's a horse?"
Ganondorf could not have answered every question if he'd tried. His vision blurred, blending the children's faces into a sea of browns and oranges and reds. The Gerudo lived. He wasn't alone!
His long years of nightmares, waking in the small hours with images of his people choking on the waves, and now he knew that some of them had lived. He mourned the five daughters and countless sisters and mothers and cousins he had lost. But seven- seven of his daughters had lived to create tribes of their own. These ships full of vai -- and even voe -- these journeyers had come from him! They harnessed that very wind he had so coveted, and used it to go wherever they wished, without borders to stop them.
Ganondorf laughed, and did not brush the tears from his face.

ZELDA HEADCANONS
Sun:
-- considers "Zelda" and "Hylia" as 2 different identities. When she has to act as Hylia (to give a serious order, to do some magic...), she moves her fringe to her left side. Also when Sky makes her angry in a discussion she is like: "remember I can be Hylia!" and  not "remember I'm Hylia"
-- she wears shorts under her dresses, she would be pretty uncomfortable without them.
-- She has a very strong personality, like a girlboss, and she's as chaotic as Tetra
-- She's Hylia, and so she must handle magic pretty well. Also Sky didn't have problems, if not more frequent nightmares and lightning scars and fear of thunderstorms... But "fear of thunderstorms" doesn't even count! However, she noticed her hair became lighter near the tips, and wavier.
-------------
Dot:
-- the girly princess? No way! She grew up with Four, she's a smith too, she loves adventures and festivities. The fucsia jacket is a hoodie (she covers the hood with her cloack), she wears leggings and seakers nunder the dress, that's actually a high waisted long skirt she can remove
-- her hair is kinda orangey! Also it's pretty long
-- she's a relative of Four! In the italian version of Minish Cap she refers to Link's grandpa as "uncle Smith". This might mean Smith is her uncle, grand-uncle or greta-granduncle? Dot's mom might be Smith's younger sister for example.
-- She had a pretty simple life before MC and FS.  Dot had learnt some magic because of the whole "descendant of a goddess" thing. Not much, and she preferred to not use it. So, when she got petrified by Vaati's magic, she got the signs of it. Her hands and feet are as small as when she was 12 (MC), and her hair got way straighter than before. And when Vaati kidnapped her, she got some eye markings, like tattoos, on her arms.
-------------
Lullaby:
-- genderfluid! But their father doesn't really support them and when they feel like a boy they just become Sheik and go in the woods or at Lon Lon!
-- They have a tanned skin and dark blonde hair
--They do want to be a mom though. Dusk is their daughter!
-- They can handle magic well, but Lullaby turned into Sheik for the first time when they were really young, and this had an impact on them. Their blue eyes became red with the Sheik mask (yeah I headcanon it as a mask!), and the repetitive use of it made their eye color turn from blue to violet even when they're "Zelda". They also got a sheikah eye symbol on their left eye, which they cover with their hair.
---------------
Dusk:
-- She grew up with her grandpa (Lullaby's father)
-- She has Lullaby's skin color! Also she's thin and tall
-- She  didn't attend a royal/exclusive school but went at Twi's same one so they were friends as kids. She also studied swords and archery!
-- She simply didn't recognize Twi as a wolf, she thought he had become a spirit, because she didn't know he had the triforce too!
-- When Ganondorf turned her into his puppet, her skin became pale, and she had those black scars/signs and her eyes turned yellow. Her light power kinda healed this, but she now has light brown eyes, that turn blue when she's really happy and yellow when she's angry. Her skin color changed back to normal but her lips are always more violet than normal and she still has those black scars.
--------------
Artemis:
-- Dusk's great-great-granddaughter! She has a similiar face, but her colors are different. Also she has chubbier legs.
--When the war started, she took the master sword and trained with it, until Impa told her she had to leave it for the next hero
-- She's been training with magic for a long time, since she can really use it perfectly, and she masters different kinds of magic. Every scar/sign she got is from the enemies' weapons, and not magic
-------------
Flora:
-- She refused the whole princess/goddess thing, she just refers to herself as a scholar, researcher and adventure.
-- she loves Sheikah clothing!  She has stealth lessons with Paya
-- she tries to imitate Wild's cooking in secret, but she refuses to admit it because of the "powerful hero/ useless princess" thing
--She has also been training a lot with magic, and when she sealed herself and Calamity Ganon, her powers were awake. But being sealed for 100 years, with constant light powers on, and Calamity Ganon surely did something. The constant light made her photosensitive, and her hands are burnt, not as badly as Wild's face of course, but you can recognize they are. The usage of a newly awakened magic, for so long time and with that intensity made her unable to use magic for the next years after she came back, and if she'll ever get her magic back, it'll be only few.
------------
Tetra:
-- She grew up knowing her name wad Tetra. She didn't know it was just a nickname, so for her "Zelda" is a nickname she doesn't even like. In the italian version of WW/PH, her name is Dazel. She prefers Dazel over Zelda when she has to do royal stuff.
-- even as Zelda her skin is dark and her hair is all curly
-- Wind's grandma loves her and already adopted her in her mind XD but she keeps telling her she needs warmer clothes and she also gives her lots of Wind's clothes that became too small for him
-- she has blonde freckles on her dark skin, Aryll says she's a starry night
-- chubby!!
-- She had never heard of magic before her first adventure, so you might imagine she must have taken it really badly. She has a messed up sleping schedule and she falls asleep in the strangest ways, positions, and times. One second she's arguing with you, the next moment she's asleep, even if she's on her feet, this thing can get dangerous for her so she always brings someone (mostly Wind) with her. She has scratches everywhere from her petrification too, and being petrified surely didn't help with her previous situation.
------------
Fable:
-- she loves to wear pink and sky blue together! Pink is her favorite color and sky blue represents the goddess. She's a fan of jewels too!
-- Don't touch her hair, she'd get mad!
--Legend's step sister and somehow twin! She and Legend have different mothers and the same father (the father became a king after the marriage with Fable's mom, the queen). Oddly enough, they were born the same day of the same year.
-- She knows how to use a sword but she mostly uses magic and she can kick pretty well!
-- She can use magic almost perfectly, like Artemis! However, being in a painting gave her some lighter/"discolored" spots on her skin, pretty much like vitiligo. Just few spots, as she could handle that magic well too.
----------------
Aurora:
-- a child. She's like 10/12. A pretty smart kid!
-- redhead, tanned skin, curly hair and lots of freckles!
-- autistic, her stims are most likely jumping and moving her arms! She loves springs and water in general, she could spend her entire days with fairies in a spring! Pretty enthusiastic about literally anything too!
-- she sees Hyrule as an older brother
-- She had negative memories about her brother, and giving the adjective "brother" to Hyrule is  like turning the page, seeing that adjective with a new meaning
--The poor kid often thinks her dreams are reality. She has problems in distinguishing vivid dreams from reality as she had been asleep for too much. On the other hand, she barely sleeps.
----------------
BONUS:
Phantom/Angel (Spirit Tracks!):
As the great granddaughter of Tetra, Phantom and Link should be related (One of Spirit and one of Phantom's parents must be cousins) Unless Spirit isn't the great grandson of Tetra and Wind... but maybe the great grandson of Aryll instead! This would explain why Spirit is in contact with the pirate crew but not royal, and since their first common relative is so distant (Wind and Aryll's parents) they wouldn't be considered as related and the fact they didn't know each other before would have more sense
-- She took her personality from Tetra AND Wind: her will to help and be a hero too, still being a bit sassy, and a little rebel (escaping from the castle). She's like, a perfect mix of their personalities.
-- As for her design, she has wavy hair, a slightly tanned skin (she's not dark skinned, unlike Tetra), she loves earrings and she has a lot of them!
-- She wasn't used to magic, she knew that but not too much, so being a phantom and leaving her body because of said magic had an impact on her. Her eyes were originally dark blue like Tetra, but they're now pink to purple and yellow! Her skin got lighter after ST, and so she wears makeup to seem less pale. Her eyes get irritated easily (red eyes when possessed) and she spaces out a lot, sometimes she has dissociative events

The pains of traveling in the Great Seas
SET IN THE ERA OF THE GREAT SEA, AFTER THE EVENT OF THE WIND WAKER.....
A pirate ship sail across the sea, coming out of a battle with a another pirate ship. These noble pirates are on a quest to find a new homeland to be the new Hyrule for their children to live. Leading them is their captain Tetra, actually Princess Zelda of the royal family, and the hero Link. They have defeat their enemies, but Tetra is injured in the battle and is being take care of by the ship’s doctor right now. The doctor finish bandaging up Tetra’s wounds on her arm as Link, the boy in green tunic, watch on. The doctor said to his captain, “Well, Miss Tetra, you going have to rest up for a few days until those wounds of yours are healed. I’m afraid you are going to be on bed rest for the time.” This upset Tetra that she said, “Are you kidding me?” The doctor reply, “I’m sorry, Miss Tetra.” He then ask Link, “Link, can you watch over Miss Tetra for the night?” The doctor then leave the cabin, telling the spying crew mates, leaving Tetra with Link. With a groan, the girl walk to the bed and lay there, with Link sitting by her side. She said, “Look, I don’t need anymore to watch like I’m a baby.” Soon, both her and Link fall asleep. A hour or two later, Link wake up to hear crying, seeing that it is Tetra, whose said, “Why is the goddess forcing me to do what my ancestors should be better at?” Tetra notice Link watching her and said, “Look, don’t spying on me, alright. It... it just....” Link hold Tetra’s hands as tears fall down from her eyes as the pirate captain said, “I knew when Ganondorf has read my mind in a attempt to catch you off-guard that he saw that there were nothing but oceans I see in my life. I has long for a island to call home, and now I’m give a task to find this island I has dream of and set a kingdom. I don’t know if I can handle forming a kingdom, as being captain of a crew like those idiots were hard enough. I never wanted to be some princess named Zelda. I.... I just wanted to be a regular pirate girl with her mother and a land to call home. I sure was not expected to be royal, but I do know how hard it is when people’s lives are on my hands. I wish you can help me out when we find this land.” Link nod and Tetra said, “Thanks, Link.” After a moment, Tetra said, “Mind you let go of my hand, please? I don’t want Niko to see this and make some over cliche love story.” Link did as the captain order.
This is a entry for Day 7: healing for @zelinkweekofficial Zelweek2022. This story is set after The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.

Linked Universe Zeldas:
My takes on LU style- Zelda’s. Note: I don’t really follow Linked Universe, and I don’t like a lot of their takes on the Links, so uh, don’t assume these Zelda’s dealt with the LU versions of the Links.
SS: goes by Hylia, she jokingly suggests it when they’re picking nicknames, and everyone else just pauses for a second then realises who exactly she is and freaks the fuck out, so it kinda sticks as a combination of an in-joke and just... well, she’s Hylia reborn, can’t argue with that! The others are all low-key taken aback by how not-leadery she is, she tends to be the most hands-off when it comes to planning because well- she just guards the triforce, Link is the one who earned all 3 pieces and used it’s full power. Meanwhile her descendants picked up Wisdom sometime in the intervening centuries, so she’s pretty happy to leave the plans to them and stick to being a mediator. Third most likely Zelda to pick a fight she can’t win, most likely to win despite that.
Minish Cap: goes by Shortie, bc these beanpoles tried that with Tetra and she threatened to stab them, but Minish just found it hilarious so it stuck. Surprisingly quick to pick up how to fight, occasionally gets the other Zelda’s into trouble by running off, but they usually agree with her that whatever caught her eye was actually pretty worth it, because deep down they’re all massive nerds, no matter how functional they appear. Also tends to randomly grab gifts for the other Zeldas.
Four Swords: just goes by Four, jokes about how much her Hero(es) would be annoyed by that. Usually the first to notice encroaching danger, and always the first to investigate it. At first the more combat-experienced Zelda’s were Concerned(tm) that she is the one sticking herself into unknown dangers, until she pointed out that A) she is considerably less likely to get herself caught unless Sheik wants to go, bc she knows she has less leeway to get caught than they are and B) they won’t be down a fighter for the rescue if she’s the one who gets caught, which they reluctantly concede.
OoT: goes by Regrets, which like, the other Zelda’s just hear her bitterly pick as soon as the topic comes up and immediately decide they aren’t touching that emotional baggage. It’s an mix of Child and Adult timeline Zelda, which kinda fucks her up when she thinks about it- especially seeing as she remebers both Ganondorf breaking free and killing one of the Seven Sages in the child timeline, and what became of the Hero of Time... who she remembers clinging to the thought he got to have the childhood he rightfully should’ve in the Adult Timeline, as the waves climbed up over Hyrule to seal the awakened and unchallenged Ganondorf. So yeah, she tries not to. She also remembers the start of the Defeat Timeline, where she was too late to save the Hero and was forced to lead the exhausted and scattered remains of her people to war to kill the Demon King.
Wind Waker: literally just Tetra, she also is the first to look at the less murder-happy Zeldas and give them a knife. She’s currently working on getting them all up to basic pirate crew levels of fighting without magic, just in case, and she’s constantly pestering the fight-y Zelda’s to a spar. Regrets goes along because she’s had three slightly different Zelda’s merged in her head so her skills are a little rusty, Hylia likes to do it just because people keep forgetting she learned to fight at the same school Link did, and their responses when she reminds them are funny to her. Tetra is picked up from after establishing New Hyrule, and she looks up to Hylia more than she’s willing to admit, often going to her for advice on the whole ‘founding a nation in peaceful cohabitation with the locals’ thing. Second most likely to start a fight she can’t win.
Spirit Tracks: goes by Ghost, refuses to explain the joke to any of the others and thinks she’s hilarious for it. She is, but she doesn’t need the ego stoke. They find out about the ghost thing when she accidently astral projects in her sleep at one point and wakes up to them freaking out over her corpse, which is implied to happen often. Tetra notices that she’s really really weird to train as a fighter, because she already fights pretty well but she also fights like she’s a giant fuck-off suit of armour with a sword as big as she is. She finds it amazing to get to meet Tetra, and is constantly asking her if various stories she heard as a child are actually true or if her mother just made them up or exaggerated. They were not, and Ghost thinks Tetra is the coolest person on the planet for it.
Twilight Princess: goes by Twilight, out of tribute to Midna’s nickname for her. Absolutely misses Midna, respects Regrets more than Regrets thinks she should, but she still angsts a lot about how she just surrendered to the unkillable army its implied she’s the only one who could even see properly who could turn them all into ghos- ahem. I may or may not have opinions about people thinking it’s the wrong decision from out of universe. But yeah, she absolutely angsts about it, and really looks up to Tetra and Regrets bc at least they acted, she just sat in her tower and waited for the hero she knew would be coming. Saying that though, she indulged Tetra’s pestering to fite exactly once (1), and promptly kicked her ass and went back to her book. Because really, what else was she going to do with all that free time while Link was fishing to win a Heart Container and she couldn’t leave her room? Ganondorf had to get the idea to have her use a sword somewhere.
FSA: Even among Zelda's, she stands out for how friendly she is- more than once she brought a ‘new friend’ back to camp who’d been trying to kill them seconds earlier. This got her the nickname Torch, because she shines light into even the darkest of creatures- although, Hylia would like it if she never interacted with any of the mini-Imprisoned from HW ever again please and thank you, that was a step too far for exotic pets.
(I’ll do a followup post for the Defeat Timeline, it has a lot of the older games I haven’t played and need to familiarise myself with the characters in, and it’s already getting late)
Hyrule Warriors: goes by Sheik, was unironically ready to fight her ancestor for the name, but Regrets doesn’t really care. Speaking of regrets, upon learning that Regrets did the exact same disguise in the Adult timeline, Sheik immediately wants to go stab Cia (and maybe Lana too) for letting her think she was getting away with the disguise when Cia had literally seen the exact same trick just one timeline over. (post post-game definitive edition, so Cia has her redemption arc) She also was never meant to be the bearer of the Triforce of Wisdom, and views it as a burden- without Cia’s interference, the Triforce of Wisdom and it’s visions would’ve been passively sitting in the royal vaults instead of etched into her hand, but fate got confused when the Triforce had been split, but the one who should inherit Wisdom was much better suited to Courage. This leads to a bit of a disconnect sometimes, where fate has changed her into a suitable host for the Triforce of Wisdom, but she just kinda isn’t one. She’s also a MASSIVE nerd (I saw those TP references in Linkle’s Twilight stage Nintendo! She literally started dropping random history quotes after almost dying, the nerd) so she’s constantly fangirling over all her famous ancestors, because if anyone had managed to hear legends from all 3 timelines, it would be HW Zelda. The most likely to pick a fight she can’t win, she literally only pretends to be functional and have impulse control when they’re in her Hyrule and her people can see her.
BOTW:
Both BoTW Zeldas avoid each other like the plague because yeah, that’s a physical manifestation of my failures. They’re not consolidated like OoT was for bonus angst- because just merging them would show her there’s a happier timeline where all of her friends survived and Hyrule didn’t fall and crumble to ruins while she and Link took a 100 year nap.
AoC: goes by Terrako, because why the hell not. Has Terrako with her, which gets confusing, but he’s an adorable Eggy Boi, and basically team mascot. Is using her Master Cycle+Sheikah Slate movesets, bc she tried to use her Goddess bow moveset and reality just kinda glitched bc there were two Zelda’s using the exact same power, and they both agreed to never try that again.
BoTW: goes by Architect, because that’s what she spends half her time doing these days. Regularly nerds out with Sheik. Low-key dying inside from self-worth issues rearing up again now that she’s hanging out with all these legendary queens, but tries not to let it show and keep with a positive attitude, too mixed results.
