Platonic Yandere live action Garp who has a soft spot for a pregnant marine reader (I can imagine him telling reader , the baby will be a strong marine) XD
please ; also what are your thoughts on live action Garp ?
My thoughts on live action Garp are similar to my thoughts towards most of the live action depictions. He's good, but I prefer anime/manga Garp. I think he needs that little bit of silliness to maintain likability lol
It's Better This Way
Platonic Monkey D. Garp x Reader

Going from being a marine captain to managing paperwork for a vice admiral was not what you ever wanted to happen in your career. You felt like a glorified secretary. Even if it is supposed to only be a temporary position, it still felt demeaning. It’s not like there was anything you could do about it, though. Even you could admit that you were in no state to be fighting.
Not when you were as pregnant as you were. If you tried to so much as jog right now, you would throw up and piss yourself. Possibly at the same time.
Your due date was yesterday, but the baby was a no show. Clearly, they have not inherited your punctuality, much to your dismay. Pregnancy was not the beautiful process it had been made out to be. It was exhausting, painful, and downright gross at points. You were more than eager for the whole thing to be over, and you were about to roll up an eviction notice and shove it up where the sun don’t shine to help the baby get the hint.
As if the baby could read your mind, and didn’t care for what it read, you felt your overdue bundle of joy nail your diaphragm with a kick that new recruits would find enviable. You gasped and lurched forward as the air was knocked from your lungs and coughed a few times.
Papers were dropped onto the desk nearby and a chair squeaked as the man in it sat up straight. “Are you okay over there?”
You coughed a few more times before you could breathe properly again, “I’m okay… the baby just kicked me again.” At least they didn’t kick your bladder again. You would throw yourself overboard if you pissed yourself in front of someone again.
Garp sighed and stood from his seat before slowly approaching you. His hand settled on the back of your chair as he looked down at you, “Just go on leave already.”
“No… I can’t just sit around at some random marine base until I give birth. I’ll be bored out of my mind.” Not to mention you don’t want to deal with everyone there judging you for being a single mother. You get enough of that as is on the rare occasion you’re in the company of anyone other than Garp and his crew.
“You can barely walk anymore, just let yourself rest. You don’t even need to go to a base, you can stay on the ship. I could even make arrangements to let you stay at a village on land if that’s what you would prefer.” Garp wasn’t one to back down easily, and that included when bickering with you.
In all honesty, staying on Garp’s ship sounded ideal, but you would hate to be more of a burden to him after being demoted to light duty work on his ship. You were grateful that he agreed to take you in, especially since you were doing a job that you’re 99% sure Bogard was already doing before you got here. Because of that, you wanted to get out of his hair as soon as the baby was born.
“That’s very kind of you, sir, but I couldn’t ask that of you.”
“Sir? You were calling me Garp even back when I was training you, drop the unnecessary formalities.” Garp sighed and rested his hand on your shoulder, “Stop being so damn stubborn and accept my help. It isn’t going to help you or your kid to be like this.”
“I appreciate the offer, but I want to do this for myself.” Your hands rest on your overly swollen abdomen and rub circles on it. You’ve gotten so huge that you’ve been wearing Garps’s shirts for months now. That, and you’ve forgone buttoning your pants, but the shirt helps to cover that fact. It looked like you had twins in there, but the doctors insisted that they only ever heard one heartbeat.
There’s a question that has been on your mind for a while now, and this seemed like as good a chance as any to ask it. You inhale to steel your nerves, then begin, “Can I ask you something, Garp? I want you to be brutally honest with me.” Garp didn’t answer you verbally, but his nod was enough for you to continue, “Do you think they’re actually going to let me return to my position after I’ve had a chance to recover?”
“No.”
Not even a second had passed between the question and the answer. You had asked for honesty, but the immediate, blunt answer still shocked you. “You can’t be serious.”
“You wanted honesty, and I’m giving it to you. It’s a raw deal for you, but every time I’ve seen this happen, the women never return. It’s deemed too much of a liability. The people in charge don’t believe that you’re going to be as physically capable after the birth.” Garp’s gruff tone softened ever-so-slightly, and it sounded like he did genuinely feel bad for your situation.
Your emotions were running wild. You felt betrayed and beyond frustrated at your circumstances. “But I’ve worked so hard! I was a captain! They can’t just throw me to the wolves like this!”
If your outburst affected Garp at all, he didn’t let it show. He heaved a sigh and the hand on your shoulder tightened. “They can, and they already have. You were terminated the same day you came to my ship.”
“What?!” If you were in better shape, you would have sprung out of the chair from shock.
“I arranged to have you stay here for the time being because you were once my student, and I wanted to ease you into this. I had hoped to wait until after the birth to spring this on you, but here we are.”
All you could do was gape at him as he casually informed you of what your status actually was. It felt like a rug had been pulled out from under you in the cruelest way possible. Before you could even register what was happening, hot tears started pouring down your face. Great, just what you needed. Now you’re humiliated on top of everything else. You turn away from Garp to try and obscure his view, but there was only so much good that could do for you. Getting up out of the chair you were in required help from at least one other person and you were definitely too embarrassed to ask that of Garp right now.
His hand dropped from your shoulder to your back and patted it. “I know that this isn’t what you wanted to hear, but it’s not all bad. I know that the father is deceased, but I’ll do everything in my power to help make up for his absence.”
Your blood ran cold and your tears ran dry. Slowly, you pull your hands away from your face and look at him over your shoulder. You never told a soul about who the father was. Your voice shook as you spoke, “How do you know that?”
Garp rolled his eyes, “I may have been born in the dark, but it certainly wasn’t last night. I saw the way you acted around that pirate and how you were after his execution. You even made the mistake of mentioning growing up on the same island as him. You’re lucky that no one else has figured this out.”
Words were lodged in your throat, right along your heart that had leapt up there. This can’t be happening. You thought you were careful!
“I haven’t told anyone, and I don’t plan to. I don’t want that kid’s blood on my hands if someone finds out who the father really is, and I’m sure you don’t want that either.”
“It’s just a baby! They haven’t done anything wrong! The marines have no reason to hurt them!” You were yelling now, something that you knew was unwise, but you couldn’t help it. Not with how frayed your mental state was by this reveal.
“They’re the child of a pirate, and one that had a high bounty at that. That’s all the reason they need to get rid of them. You would be lucky to even get a chance to hear them cry before they’re disposed of.” Those words sent a chill down your spine. You knew that there were dangers associated with having the child of a pirate, but hearing someone spell it out was gut churning.
As if predicting your next move, Garp grabs the bucket next to your chair and holds it up just in time for you to lose your lunch into it. You cough and gag while Garp holds you steady, completely unphased by the sight and stench. He sets the bucket away from you and hands you a handkerchief to wipe your mouth with.
Speaking in a low tone, he starts talking again, “But that isn’t going to happen. What’s going to happen is I’m going to take you to an island in the East Blue after the kid is born. You’re going to stay in a place called Windmill Village and raise the kid there. I’ll come visit whenever I can to help you.”
You’re still too stunned to speak, and Garp takes that as a sign to continue, “My other grandchildren live around there. It’ll be a nice home for you and the little one. It’ll be a much more quiet life than what you’re used to, but I think you’ll adjust in time.”
It’s like he already has every tiny detail ironed out in his head, almost as if he’s done this before. You look up at him, equal parts distressed and bewildered, “How long have you been planning this?”
“Since I got word of your pregnancy.”
“What am I even supposed to do there? I’ve been in the marines almost all of my life, I can’t just start living as a civilian.” This was the least of your problems, frankly, but you didn’t want to confront the bigger ones right now.
“I would be more than happy to cover your living expenses myself, but I know you would never accept that. There’s a tavern in the town that an acquaintance of mine runs. She’s already agreed to let you work there once you’ve recovered.” Garp’s eye’s drifted down to your belly, “I know it’s a major change, but it’ll become easier when the kid gets older. You can relive your days as a marine by training them to be an even stronger one. I’ll help train them, too, of course. They’ll be one hell of a marine, I can already feel it. Out of all my grandchildren, I think this one will be the most likely to actually become one.”
Garp grabs your shoulders and helps you get onto your feet, a task he accomplishes with ease thanks to his inhuman strength. He guides you out of the room and down the corridor to your own, “Now go get some rest, I know this was all a lot to take in.” His tone left absolutely no room for argument.
You just nodded weakly. Your mind was all over the place trying to make sense of what was happening. Sleep would probably be really good for you right about now. You had no idea how you were going to adjust to the sudden change in your life, but after how Garp just spoke of it… You’re not sure that you even have a say in the matter.
Especially not if he’s already seeing your baby as one of his grandchildren.

Helmeppo,Koby,Garp - Perv Headcanon

Helmeppo :
Before his time in the Navy, he would totally take advantage of his position as the son of Morgan. I mean who was going to stop him. The navy? No to the things his son was doing his father would just shake his head but stay out of them he had long given up on properly raising his son to be a good man and now he wouldn't try. A habit that Morgan has, however, to his son is to provide this maid. These were actually meant to keep the room clean, do his laundry and make him food when he was "overexerted". Which is why he takes advantage of everything. He always had a favorite among his maids. They were his to decide and to rule over. He would develop almost like a little god complex over the young women. But what he liked best was to buy them new uniforms. New uniforms that were too tight and too short. He sat down in his chair with a wide grin and just watched his favorite get to work. Tried to escape his gaze only to bend down with red cheeks to pick up something and show him her butt. ,,Shameless, isn't it? How rude to your master" he asked, chuckling as she hastily spun around and tried to finish as quickly as she could. But those were the easy days, when he let her go, it was over. There were also days when he wanted to get caught when he was pleasuring himself, the door was left unlocked and the thought of her coming in was only more arousing for him. He knew she would find the mess he left behind and clean it up. But that extra when he heard her surprised gasp knowing she had found her own panty he had cleaned himself with. When he walked past her his still soiled hand over her stroke and enjoyed it to the fullest. Let's just say that he finds himself back in the Navy too much under the watchful eye of Garp and the other higher-ups. But above all, he is too busy subordinating himself to his new captain, for whom he would suddenly do anything, I just say mommy issues.
Tumblr media
Koby :
Before his time in the navy under Alvida he is a little angel always anxious to give his mistress everything she wants. Her well-being was the greatest thing he could do for Alvida. Similarly, his mind had been reorganized in the Navy. For a long time he was and still is the model soldier with his friend Helmeppo under the watchful eye of Garp. But as soon as he saw you, something awoke in the pink-haired man. The navy had found and rescued a hijacked passenger ship when he found you. So delicate, fragile and he knew the world would break you, he knew what it was like. But you no he had to protect you and yet his eyes that thanked him, your fingers that laid on his shoulder and pulled him into a grateful heartfelt hug. He suddenly wanted more. He wanted more thanks and more thanks from you. The righteous people stayed on the Navy ship until the next island, which meant Koby had plenty of time. He knew the Marine ship by heart and sneaked into her room at night. On the one hand, as a Marine, he knew it was wrong. But on the other hand, his side of the traumatization by Alvida, he wanted only the best for her. Which is why he ventured closer to the bed to move his trembling fingers over her sleeping one. Playing with strands of her hair, he buried his nose in them and gasped. She smelled of love and caring all he ever wanted. But he kept his hands running and was about to lie down when he saw his heart spinning around. Threatening to wake up, he fled, taking a T-shirt with him for relief. But he would do it again came every night in her room wanted only the best for her. And during the day he would watch over her from far and near. Would bring her everything she needed. But the thought that he knew how she looked under her clothes, how soft her breasts were and how warm her lips were was enough to almost make him hard again. But he was damn good at hiding his perverted time. Once again he would do anything for her.
Tumblr media
Garp :
Garp had full power on his ship and actually in the navy if you knew it better. The legend beside Sengok were with the most well-known navy members. But just because he is known, older and dazzling doesn't mean he doesn't have a darker side. I mean, who would suspect an older, noble man of having his eyes on one of his female soldiers on his ship? No one. Which is why from the outside it looked more like he was supporting her where he could. Always having her by his side because he saw something in her, a great talent in the Navy. But even if this was the case on the one hand, on the other hand it was his desire for her. Since they had laid down and his eyes had settled on her, he felt the desire that went far beyond love. Called her to him initially only talked to her, just wanted to listen to her voice, see how she moved slightly on the chair. The uniform clung perfectly to her body and he knew that he could overpower her at any moment. She was so delicate in his hands he was sure. But soon these conversations were not enough for him, he finally wanted to touch her. Which is why he trained with her privately, initially together with Koby and Helmeppo afterwards only with her. But even though her form was perfect, he always found a way to get close to her. To let his hands wander over her body and to press himself against her. To feel how fast her heart was beating and to feel how her body warmed up with love when his big rough hands ran over her breasts of course only to correct her form again. When he pinned her to the wall in the fight and had to take himself back not to kiss her and yet wanted it so much. But in the end, when he would be completely addicted to his madness for her, he knew that it only took one command to bring her to him. To force his will on her I mean can such a legend demand something immoral?

Unbottle Your Emotions
Eustass Kid x Reader (Part 6)
Tumblr media
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5 | Part 6
Taglist: @lingxio @h0n3y-l3m0n05 @tremendoushorsepatrolgoth @lil-skelly-bones (ask or comment if you want to be added)
Ahoy! This has been a fun chapter to write! A few important characters are introduced in this chapter and emotions are building up in [Y/n]. For a little context, Koby is living in the Monkey household because I said so :3
Enjoy ^-^
"He's going to kill me, Hawkins."
You worried as you strolled through the halls with your fellow loner. The poor textbooks were suffocating from your tight grip.
"Who is going to kill you?" Hawkins inquired for clarification.
"Eustass." You eye the hallway for any of Kid's crew. Only when you noted no signs did you turn your back as you reached your locker and opened it.
"Don't you think you're being overdramatic, [Y/n]?" It's rare for Hawkins to brush off your worry, but it only happens if he already read the cards.
"No, I'm not. I might know how to avoid ticking him off with words but actions are an unpredictable minefield, and I might have set one off." You stressed taking your backpack out of your locker and shoving your books inside.
"Why don't you just ask-?"
"I can't ask him!" Your words straining through your teeth, looking at Hawkins as if he suggested you should spoil the ending to a popular franchise to a bunch of die hard fans. "Because if he wasn't mad before then he will be since I planted that idea in his head. I'll be dead either way."
"I was going to suggest asking his friends..."
"Oh..." You turn back to your locker and grab your binders to put them in your backpack. "I don't know about that either..."
"My club starts in 5 minutes, I believe Heat and Wire will be there, if you'd like, I could inquire for you," Hawkins offered.
"Really?"
"But you're coming over tonight to practice your math."
"What? Nooooooo, come on. Can't it be for lunch tomorrow?" You pouted.
"It can't be helped, remember? Your family only allows you to go out if it's for homework."
Your face grims. "That's right."
Thing is, it's more complicated than that.
"I'll let you know when I'm home, try to remain calm until then." Hawkins rested a hand on your shoulder.
"I'll try."
With that Hawkins takes his leave.
A sigh escapes as you finish packing your bag, mind filled with dread. Closing your locker door, you turn to head off when you see Law two lockers over, closing his locker. He notices you and smirks.
Fuck. Your cheeks start burning as you know exactly why he has the smug look. Bastard won't let you live down your embarrassment from two years ago. You face your locker, ignoring him. He seems to get the message and walks away. Once you're sure he's gone, you hit your head against the locker. Sadly it does nothing to shoo the memory of what happened in gym class. Great now your face is heating up more. Why did that have to be the reason he knows you exist?
"Stupid dodgeball!" You kick the locker next to yours. "Stupid teammates!" Another kick. You're at least grateful no one else witnessed it since it only happened early game, and Trafalgar hasn't bothered spreading rumours about it, not that it'd do any good in school since no one knows who the invisible kid is. However, you had a feeling, he would use it as blackmail over you if he knew how.
Gripping the straps of your backpack, you exit the hallway. Most students have disappeared to their clubs or already left the building, you take extra precautions sneaking around now that you have no cover. Your hand finally reaches the exit doors, opens it and you step outside.
"Hi [L/n]."
"AHH!" You jump out of your skin, startling the boy who greeted you. Your eyes flicker to him, calming down. "Oh, it's just you Koby."
"Sorry, didn't mean to scare you." He bashfully scratches the back of his neck.
"Just don't do it again." You subtly place a hand on your chest, feeling your heart rate return to normal. "What are you doing right next to the doors anyway?"
"Drake said these are the doors you normally use," Koby explained, you gave him a weird look and for a moment you thought he was going to bring up seeing you with Kid at lunch, until he elaborated. "I wanted to walk home with him so he told me to wait with you."
"Oh? So that's all?" You double-check, raising a brow. He nods, so you gesture for him to follow you. "You know my dad doesn't like Strawhat's grandpa, it might be a problem if I walk home with you."
"It's alright, we'll be stopping by my house first so you and Drake don't get in trouble."
"Right." Your voice becoming monotone.
A moment passes as you stop at the meetup tree, Koby looks up at you, worry written on his expression. "...You seemed to be on edge earlier."
"I'm always on edge," you blatantly reply. "Most people just don't realize or scare me like that."
"Sorry..." Koby looks away, seemingly dropping the subject.
Guilt nips at your heart, you don't want to make him feel bad. Though as much as your conscience yells at you to comfort him, you don't. It may be selfish but if Koby associates you with this feeling after greeting you, he's more likely to ignore and avoid you. It'll help prevent future eggshells from being broken and getting you in trouble, so you hope.
A notification from your phone goes off. You grab your device, turning it on to see who it is.
New Message from [Leader Eustass Kid]
You were about to open your phone to read it when you noticed Koby perk up.
"Hey Drake!" Koby greeted his friend.
"Hey Koby, [Y/n]." Drake nodded in acknowledgement.
"Hey..." You briefly wave.
There's a bit of an awkward silence, Drake staring at you as if wanting to ask how your day was and you avoiding eye contact, not wanting to interact with him. You began walking, Drake and Koby following in tow. Koby begins rambling about something Luffy has done. You're grateful Koby came along now, Drake's attention is on him and not you.
With room to breathe, you pulled out your phone and checked Kid's message.
[Leader Eustass Kid]
Where were you at the end of lunch?
Crap, he did notice you disappearing. Not good. Should you make a likely excuse? ...No, you have a feeling he'd know a bullshit excuse when he sees one. Just keep it brief.
[You]
I left
Lunch was over so I left
. . .
Your eyes anxiously stare at the loading dots, his response being typed. Fingers tapping to the rhythm of the flow. Fear sits on your shoulder to watch the screen.
[Leader Eustass Kid]
Say something before you leave next time
Right, he'll be inviting you again when your project's over. Reminder aside, you can't tell the emotion behind his text. Whether he's mad or letting it go, you'll only know when you go over to Hawkins tonight.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Koby! No club today?" Garp asked welcoming the pink-haired boy home.
"Nope, the club president had to plan some things for next week so I got to walk home with Drake today," Koby chirped entering the house.
"Great it's lasagna night. You can help out with the cooking."
"Yes sir." Koby turned to you and Drake who were standing outside. "Thanks for walking with me, guys. See ya tomorrow!"
"See ya, Koby," Drake said. You just waved bye until Koby disappeared from the doorway.
Garp turned to the two of you. "Do you guys want to stay for dinner?"
Drake shook his head. "I have to work tonight."
"I need to get home before it gets too late," you decline chewing the inside of your mouth, wanting to leave already. "Also I don't know anyone here."
"Nonsense, you're friends of Koby, and I'm sure my other grandsons would be happy to have more guests."
"More guests?" Drake raised a brow.
"Yeah, Ace has his friend over-" Garp explanation got cut off when there was a crash in the background. "THE HELL DID YOU BREAK THIS TIME?"
"oH NO! RUN YAMATO!" Ace warned.
Garp left the doorway, off to scold the boys. Drake narrows his eyes and goes to enter the house when you stop him, a tight grip on his sleeve. Drake looks back to you, your face is neutral yet your hand is shaking.
"Can we leave?" A small demand.
Drake doesn't say anything, glancing from you to the house. You could hear something fall over and it causes you to flinch. Drake looks back at you, sighs and starts walking. Internally, you thank him as you release your grip on his sleeve. Your stroll is silent for the most part until Drake inquires you.
"Who were you texting early?"
"...Hawkins," you lie. "I'm going over to his place tonight to practice my math. My dad won't tolerate anything but the best."
Drake hums, believing your lie sprinkled with truth. It wouldn't be the first night you'd go study with Hawkins, and as for texting others, he knows just how small your contact list is. It pays to be known as a ghost amongst those who do know the invisible kid.
You'll have to change Kid's contact name, you can't risk getting caught. It's fine if Hawkins knows you're talking to Kid, you trust him, but not Drake.
The two of you near the front door of your home, you unlock it and enter inside. You glance around, seeing your father's workers frantically running around, too busy to greet you. Good, your brother's antics made you invisible.
"I'll go inform your father where your brother is," Drake told you as he took off his shoes. "They're probably wondering where he snuck off to. You can let one of your uncles know you'll be studying at Hawkins tonight. We don't want them thinking their other child snuck out later."
"Right..." You slipped off your shoes, observing Drake leaving to inform your dad.
You're thankful to your brother, yet at the same time, you wish he put more thought into his actions. There were consequences, and it affected more than him.
The way Nami describes getting her tattoo makes your skin crawl and you curl your hands with the desire to peel the flesh away from your bones to ease the discomfort. She was only little, the baby-faced tangerine head you saw from her memories, bound up in that dark dank room day after day to draw maps for a man who held nothing but vitriol in his heart for any human in the world. You don’t remember gaining your tattoos, their origins now even shakier in your mind then they had been growing up with the involvement of Roku.
Nami talked quietly, very unlike the snarky snappishness you were used to from your only female crewmate and the affect Arlong had on her when he wasn’t even present made your stomach roll and the energy in your chest quiver and roil as the rage built in you. You want to descale and broil him in butter, cream some potatoes and serve him on a bed of steam veggies. Or ask Sanji to do it so you don’t burn everything to a crispy husk. She was still wearing Luffy’s hat as you all made it to the remnants of the village, her shoulder wrapped to protect the torn skin of where she had driven the blade into it.
The buildings were wholly gutted by the flames the fishman pirates had set, shells of the foundations and support beams left empty and barren. The ground was black with ash and soot and the air stank of wet cinders from the villagers’ desperate attempts to douse the flames. Despite their best effort, the village was still reduced to nothing but ashen ruins.
“Arlong did this?” Sanji is staring around aghast as the rest of you at the destruction. “Why?” Nami’s throat bobs as she looks around her.
“To punish the villagers. And to punish me.” You run your knuckles gently up and down the length of her injured arm. You don’t know if it does anything, but you hope the small comfort offers her some relief as the villagers, led by Nojiko and Genzo, come to meet you all. “What’s going on?” Her hand grabs a hold of your wrists and squeezes it tightly, nails digging in more desperately than they did in Buggy’s big top.
“Nojiko told us about your sacrifice. We didn’t know. Can you ever forgive us?” Her hand grips tighter.
“There’s nothing to forgive. Coco Village is my home.”
“Then it’s our turn to sacrifice. We’re done living in fear. We’re gonna march on Arlong Park. If those fishmen want a fight-” Nami interrupts, voice desperate.
“That’s not a fight, that’s a massacre. You will all be killed.”
“And I’m sure that’s exactly what Arlong wants.” Your voice is a low mutter, but Nami gestures at you in agreement.
“If there’s no hope for us to buy our freedom, then I say we die trying to fight for it!” The villagers cheer and raise their weapons as Nami watches them all hopelessly.
“No, everyone please! No, I-I won’t let you do that.” The cheering cuts of abruptly as they all look at her, “This is my fight.”
“No.” Luffy’s voice is sharp and serious from beside Nami. “This is our fight. Right guys?”
“Finally I get to cut something.” Zoro’s voice is monotone as always while Usopp worries beside him.
“But how are we gonna beat Arlong? We saw what he did at Baratie.”
“Grilling would probably work. Or boiling.” You answer simply and Sanji looks down at you with a confused smile, “What? It’s, like, the easiest way to prepare fish?”
“Every creature has a weakness.” Zoro sort of agrees with you, “Maybe Nakayoshi has a point.”
“You can just call me Y/n.”
“No. It’s a matter of principal now.” Usopp cuts through your glare.
“Even bulletproof ones?”
“I’ll know it when I see it.” Luffy’s voice has lost the harshness, but he is no less confident as he speaks, “And when I do… I won’t hesitate.”
The fishmen are busy carting about crates and boxes before the explosions go off. Large puffs of thick white smoke begin to pour through the air of Arlong Park. Luffy kicks open the barred gate with no issue, leading the other six of you in to the fray as the smoke begins to clear.
“Fishmen!” One you remember from Baratie yells out to the rest of the park, “Stand by to repel boarders!”
You all ready yourselves for the fight. Luffy cracks his knuckles as Zoro unsheathes the Wado Ichimonji, Sanji pulls back one leg and Usopp draws his slingshot. You drop your chains from their homes in your arms, the weight clunking at your feet.
“Where’s Arlong?”
“He’s probably in the map room.” Nami is the only one not to pull a weapon and Luffy looks back at her.
“Then that’s where we’re going.” They take off for the map room and Usopp darts for the rocks to your left for a higher vantage point, leaving you in between Sanji and Zoro in front of the wooden gates as the fishmen charge.
Sanji and Zoro leap into action, swinging and kicking at the fishmen as they advance. You wind back, long lengths of chain clinking against each other as you crack them across scaley backs, heads and shoulders, leaving stinging red burns on their skin.
You crack your chain whips through the rock bridge Luffy and Nami had crossed, barely missing Zoro as he ducks away continuing to fight, and the collision knocks substantial chunks from the yellow stone, leaving them to tumble messily into the water.
Your chains wind around the legs of one fishman as he leaps across to the stone platform Zoro is standing on. You land on his shoulders and dig your nails in, tearing out chunks of scaley skin and fishy flesh as he screams and topples. You hop off at the very last moment, the saltiness in the air enough of a warning for you to avoid the water, and you land beside the boys again as the liquid turns a murky red, your hands now dripping in blood. Zoro is already turning on Sanji, who had apparently stolen a kill from him.
“I had that one.”
“If you had him, I wouldn’t have got him.”
“Boys, you’re both very pretty, can we stay focused on the matter at hand please?” Sanji smirks cheekily at you.
“Oh you think I’m pretty.”
“They only said that to save you dignity, don’t get a big head.” Zoro snarks and then points the tip of his katana to your nose, “You, don’t give him a big head.”
“Stop calling me Nakayoshi.”
“No.”
“Then no. Sanji you look beautiful in this lighting!”
The blonde man cackles as more fishmen begin to spill out from deeper in the park, roaring and yelling as they come. Several dive into the water around you, and each of the three of you take off in a different direction, Sanji to your left, Zoro to your right and you move back across the inlaid boulders towards the main gates.
You can hear the boys across the pond bantering as two fishmen leap out of the water at you, darting in and out so much you have to spin to keep up. They bob in and out, swiping and clawing at your skin, the salt water seeping into the wounds making you groggy and filling your head with sawdust and cotton.
“You look tired!” Sanji spins and knocks two fishmen down with his outstretched leg, and you have to refocus your brain as he flips his hair dramatically. “Maybe you should take a break.” Zoro stands from his kneeling position and easily incapacitates a fishman sneaking behind. One of your two manages to land a full faceful of salt water right at you, leaving you dripping and even more dazed than before.
“Maybe you oughta get back in the kitchen.”
“Quit screwing around! Luffy needs us!” Sanji and Zoro slice down the fishmen around them as the two you were fighting duck back below the water, your form swaying and off-balance.
“You just got here, you don’t know what Luffy needs.”
“I know he needs my cooking.”
“You mean putting two slices of bread together?” A cackle resounds from the bag as they both turn to glare at it.
“Uh-oh someone’s feeling threatened!”
“Shut up!” The roar is instantaneous from both of them, hatred for the clown swelling.
“Then get me back to my body! We’re close. I can feel my toes! Trust me. I can help you guys win this thing!”
Their attention diverts, though, as you scream angrily, both fishmen once again popping up and away again, now even further into the small lagoon pool. With a roar, you swing both your chains up and over your head, before slamming down full force across the surface of the water. The force sends waves lapping to the tiles sides, but neither chain sinks.
Instead, the water around them begins to bubble and froth ferociously, your own anger overheating as the fishmen still in the pool watch the surface as it foams and rages. With a roar you, lift them again, slamming the chains into the water again and again, steam beginning to rise from it and fishmen begin to pinken and let out gurgling screams as the surface, in a moment of sheer lack of ability, ignites in a roaring azure inferno, sending several of the fishmen who weren’t as deep, shooting out of the scalding water, sides dripping with molten liquid as their skin bubbles and peels with blisters.
Both men from your crew back away from the inferno, and watch, slightly terrified as your figure emerges from the flames, eyes boiling and chains ablaze, the metal white-hot. Heat washes over them from the fire as it splutters boiling hot water across the tile around them.
The bag around Sanji’s neck continues to shake and plea to be reunited with his body and you join the other two in glaring at it.
“I swear, clown, if you screw us over…”
“We have a currently on-fire pool of saltwater I don’t think any of us will mind using to give you a dip.” As Sanji upends the bag on to the ground at his feet, Buggy’s head spends no time in zipping right back to himself and making himself whole again in the shooting gallery.
“Yes!” He unattaches his hands and hops down from the prize board giddily. “YES! Oh, it’s so much better than I even remembered.” As he spots the three of you glaring at him, he stops clutching at himself and, after a moment of staring in shock at the burning pool, instead chooses to shoot you all the double bird. “Hey, so um, I’m gonna get outta here.”
“Into the pool, I think.”
“Hey!” Your suggestion was ignored as Zoro barks after him.
“Sorry kiddos! I’d love to make things right, but it’s time to exit stage left.” AS he prances up the stairs away from you all you call out behind him.
“JUST BECAUSE THAT WAS FUNNY DOESN’T MEAN WE’RE NOT RIGHTFULLY PISSED!” You screamed after his retreating figure who shoots you a thumbs up at the compliment. “NEXT TIME I SEE YOU, I WILL KILL YOU! THAT’S A PROMISE!”
“Fucking clown.” Zoro swears behind you.
“How dare you strike down my brothers?” You all peer through the flame as another two fishmen you recognise from Baratie storm in through the wide open gates. “You won’t be so lucky against the might of my fishman karate." The bluer one raises his hand, curling it into a fist as he levels it at the three of you.
"And my fishman judo." The orange and brown one spoke as well, long barbed tail whipping behind him as he dropped into a half squat. Sanji snarls at them, and with a yell they leap into the still flaming pool, scalding hot water pinkening their skin as they torpedo towards you three, and as the blue one leaps from the scalding water, its spouts out with him, showering you all in boiling water as he lunges at Sanji, who he lands on with a wet slam, sending them back several feet, the scalding water already cooling.
The brown-orange one lands upright by you, and you can make out fully now he resembles some kind of ray or skate, face flat and mouth snarling at you. With a yell, you swing your chains at his head. He catches them, and using your momentum and a raised leg, sends you plummeting face first in the still salty wet tiles around you. The other one straddles the blonde man in a choke, Zoro attacks his back, though he easily catches the katana and pushes him away, sending Zoro careening backwards.
You right yourself and dodge around Zoro and the fishman as they trade blows, scampering over to Sanji, who is still laid out prone on the ground. Helping him off the ground, you turn as Zoro is kicked away from the fight and whip your chains out to strike the advancing ray fishman. He catches them on his forearm and the wind around and around it, leaving raised, scorching burns on his already pinkish skin, leaving blisters all in their wake. He roars at you, tugging on the chains to send you flying across the burning pool and into the rock formations past it. Sanji jumps into the fight after shouting your name, kicking and spinning to try and knock the brute off his feet, as his eyes searched the thick steam to catch sight of you, just barely doing so before being sent flying himself.
All three of you grunt as you try to stand, Zoro and Sanji much closer to your joint opponent as you had been thrown on a harsher curve, leaving your chains to trail in the water.
"You're no match for me. My kicks can break a ship's keel." You scoff at the fishman as you hear Sanji reply as he attempts to stand.
"That's nothing." His voice is incredibly strained. "You should have seen Zeff's kicks when he found an eggshell in the crème brûlée."
"Or when I got the wrong wine delivered that shithead in Shells Town when he first let me do the stock orders by myself." Zoro groaned at the pair of you.
"I get it. Zeff was mean to you. Boo-hoo." With a grunt, the blue fishman runs at the now standing Sanji, kicking him square in the chest and sending him flipping head over heels on to the ground again.
Zoro is sent spinning into the wall beside you two, you propped up against it as the salt water steam clatters about in your lungs, making you woozy once again. The fishmen stand side-by-side, glaring down at you all.
"Nami is a fool to have her faith in such weak compatriots." Your mind feels like its floating in soup but a grimace still curls on your lips as you stand straight.
"Don't you ever," you snarl, "bad mouth my friends." Sanji joins you, shucking off his jacket and standing beside you.
"And don't think I'm gonna let you get away with hurting my fut-" the words catch in his throat and he awkwardly reshapes them as they fall from his mouth "-favourite person." Zoro stares at him dolefully at the pathetic save, but you hardly notice the mocking glare he throws the blonde as you square up to the fishmen before you.
"Now you've done it." You both leap forward, striking your respective fishmen.
"Côtelette!" Sanji yells as he kicks the blue fishman's side harshly, and you match him with a schring-ing swipe of your chains and a shout of "Cófra!" The shouts and hits continue to match in tandem with each other, the pair of you moving in sync as you had for years.
"Collier!" A strike to the collar bone as you hit with a spinning whack across the stomach "Boilg!"
"Épaule!" A spinning kick from the ground connects with his shoulder as you scream out "Cosa!" and sweep the legs and tail from underneath your foe.
"Poitrine!" Pushing himself up and into the fishman, Sanji sends him back with a full kick to the chest as you roll out your chains and lash your chains across his face and neck "Ceann !"
Both fishman get pushed back with a snarl, but you weren't about to let them start the fight again after getting their breaths back. Looking to Sanji, he gives you a nod and you both launch forward in your finishing moves.
"Mouton Shot!"
"Slabhra Stór!"
With a well placed kick, Sanji launches the fishman back over the bar counter, knocking him into and through the wood. You join him, slamming your chains down in an X shape onto the other, sending him flying through the now cascading debris. Zoro comes up behind you as you both right yourselves, and you find yourself still wobbly from the sea water steam still lingering in the air around you.
"Mouton Shot? Slabhra Stór?"
"I told you before," You reply drearily, and Sanji finishes for you, hand resting on your back and pulling your lolling head to his shoulder.
"All great fighters call out their finishing moves."
"Yeah, you're gonna fit in just fine." A manic screaming echoes through the front gates as Usopp rounds them, slingshot armed and at the ready.
"NEVER FEAR, THE GREAT CAPtain Usopp is..." he looks around at the dozens of fishmen bodies scattered across the ground by your trio, completely missing the fire pool still burning away. "...is... Oh. You guys did pretty good in here. Good job guys."
"Thanks Usopp." You shoot him a drowsy thumbs up and he points to you.
"What's with them?"
"Must be the salt water." Sanji replies, still holding you close to him as he fans the air around you to rid it of excess steam. Zoro and Usopp exchange smirks at the position, "It's sort of like getting drunk, except you just go weak and sleepy everytime."
You blink back to full consciousness as the tinkling sounds echo out from the tall main building behind the park. Sanji lets you stand yourself as he spreads his arms out happily at the sight of the running red head approaching. You barely catch his cheer of "NAMI!" as she barrels past him, looping you, Usopp and Zoro into a tight hug.
"You're all okay!" You snigger slightly as Sanji's face sours and his arms drop back to his sides. "What happened, why-" she stops and registers the mass of flames surrounding you all. Usopp finally registers it too and peers at you confused.
“Why is the water on fire?” the pair are now staring worriedly at the flickering flames, the water level having diminished with the rising steam, but the flames no less brilliant. You don't look behind you, so you don't see as Sanji pulls his hand across his neck to signal for them to stop asking.
“Look, we all know I can’t cook, but that doesn’t mean I can’t boil a few fish when needed.” You chirp smugly. You look back just as he stops, smiling innocently down at you. Nami and Usopp give you shaky smiles when you turn back to them with a large proud smile. "We have already established, I possess an extreme lack of skill in the kitchen, so I will graciously allow Sanji to continue in the role of head chef of the Straw Hats." You wave graciously to the blonde as he swipes at you with his foot, catching the back of your ankle and nearly knocking you off balance. "Hey!"
"Where's Luffy?" You all look to the slowly crumbling building.
"Still inside, fighting Arlong."
"He's gonna be alright." As Usopp opens his mouth, the entire building begins to shudder and groan, the bells on each corner ringing with each wobble. "Right?"
You all watch with horror as the building begins to implode and collapse, dust sweeping over you as rubble crumbles down the sides. Nami lets out a terrified scream of "LUFFY!" as each level collapses down on to the one below, the building completely destroyed in seconds.
There are several moments of silence as the dust settles and debris falls further, scattering across the ground as it falls down the uneven ledges left from the collapse.
Your crew holds their breath as one for a moment.
And then two.
In the third, a rumble shakes the main mound of dirt and dust, and Luffy's fist shoots from the rubble, pushing pieces clear before the boy leaps out, hair, clothes and skin beige with plaster dust but looking unharmed.
"NAMI!" He yells down to your frame stills and tears burn your eyes, "You are our friend!" Again, you push your knuckles into the skin of her arm and there's no hesitation as she snatches hold of it, clinging for dear life. "We are your crew!" You all begin to laugh around her as she stares up at your captain in a daze.
You wiggle your joined hands and she looks at your beaming face, tears rolling down hers. Her smile matches yours.
You stand by Sanji behind the large serving bowl, handing him fresh clean bowls as people come up for their meals. You smile as children run past with sparklers, giggling clear through the chatter of the festival atmosphere. "Bon appétit." You both smiled as the young lady as she walked away with her portion, next bowl at the ready as you scooped in some of the waiting diced and sliced fruits and vegetables in front of you. You snigger as you go to tap the large pan, only for Sanji to swat your hand away. "Oi, I'm not looking to serve burnt food to these people," He ignored your grumbling as Nojiko returns to the line again. "Oh hey!" You grin at her as she stands looking at your chef sassily.
"I'm gonna need this recipes too." Sanji chuckles as he scoops more into the bowl for her, "You should really write a cookbook, you know?"
"Weeeell, you know, a true artist never reveals his secrets."
"Especially when he's the best cook in the entire world." You praise easily, poking through the veggies to top her dish, as Nojiko smirks at the red crawling up Sanji's neck and cheeks.
"Kitchen running too hot for you chef?" You look up at her a moment, before spinning on Sanji, eyeing his red face and leaning up to investigate as he leans away.
"You better not be getting sick-"
"-I'm fine, you cheeky, get off, I have people to serve-"
"-we don't have a doctor yet Sanji, you can't be sick!" Nojiko and then next woman you serve, still fussing at Sanji, giggle to each other at your well meaning care that is only flustering the chef more as Zoro approaches again.
"Oooh! Back for seconds, must have liked it!"
"Yeah, it was okay," he replies with a shrug.
"That plate says different."
"Yeah, d'ya lick it clean Roronoa?" His eyes turn to you as you smirk up at him.
"What."
"If you're only gonna call me Nakayoshi then I'm only gonna call you Roronoa." You nod with a finality that makes Sanji chuckle as he ladles more into Zoro's dish, the deadpan man staring down at you.
"Fine. I won't call you Nakayoshi-"
"-thank you!"
"Log Pose." You still completely, hands frozen as they reach for the tongs in the veggie bowl. A 'snrrk' leaves Sanji before he can stop it and you whirl on him with fury in your eyes.
"I'm sorry-"
"Don't laugh! I don't wanna be called Log Pose! I already had to deal with Magic Compass from the clown! Zoro no come on!" He ignores you, snatching the plate from Sanji's hand as he tries to hide a grin.
"Hm, good portion. It's the least you can do, considering I saved your ass from those fishmen."
"What? I saved your arse." You roll your eyes as your own complaints over the nickname are quickly forgotten in place of bitching at each other again. It's not banter anymore, you decide, it's catty bitching.
"You didn't even get your hands dirty."
"At least I don't need three swords to prove I'm a man." Zoro doesn't react or respond, instead turning and walking off as Sanji smirks at his 'win'.
You mutter to yourself as he walks away and Sanji chuckles gently at you.
"Cannot believe him." You mumble, scooping out the last of the veggies available into the last few bowls and hand them up to Sanji. "Calling me Log Pose. Of all the things." He scraps the last out of his own large pan, the ever present rule of not wasting food running through your action as you perform them mindlessly. "Why couldn't he just use my name, like I asked? Stupid annoying, mossball of a man." Trays in front of you clear and stacked for washing, you turn to Sanji only to find him already looking at you. His gaze is painfully soft, a familiar warmth you just want to melt into as his blue eyes capture your swirling aqua and gold. His hand rests on your shoulder, warmth spreading through your body like he was made of molten chocolate. "What's up, hm?" He blinks, slow and lazy, eyes full of his heart, "Where are you then? Where's my Sanji got to?"
You don't know it, but hearing those words make his inside vibrate with warmth, he loves you he loves you he loves you. As you stare up at him, face and hair lit with the golden warmth of the fire light as it flickers over the groves and features he has long since memorised, he sees again, as if for the first time, how enthralling you are. All pure happy beauty, not marred by the dark past that follows you both, but moulded with it, carved and reshaped into the divine sight before him. His hand slides down your arm, following the groves set by the chains of tattoos, or tattoos of chains. He can wrap his whole hand around your upper arm, and for a moment a well-known shot of worry laces through him. You were always a bit too small for comfort, something he had confided in to Zeff. The older chef had assured him that weight and health would come with time, as it was the ultimate healer. But here you were, almost a decade off that rock, and you still hadn't quite made up for the weight you had lost, a small tummy perhaps, but not quite the gusto for eating he had hoped to inspire even with your ravings about his skill to others, still always waiting to eat after he does, making sure he got some bites in before trying any for yourself. It was not a battle to fight today, or a war he would win without you working with him, so he said nothing and allowed his hand to slide further until it landed at your wrist, red and inflamed from the chains hanging from them. His eyes never wavered and a small smile quirked your lips even as your brows furrowed in confusion.
"Thank you." That was not what you had expected from him. You weren't sure what you were expecting, but not that.
"What for?" Your eyebrows furrowed lower and a smile grew on his face at your confusion. "I didn't do anything. Was just cleaning up some plates and stuff."
"No!" He starts with a laugh, the sound enveloping you and you squeeze the sound into your heart, which was already crammed full of him, but you could always make room. "I meant for, you know," he gestured over to where the rest of the crew had gathered as Usopp wowed the locals with the fictitious events of today. "Them. Bringing them. Meeting Luffy and him having such an impact and still wanting me to come." His eyes don't leave the others, but yours never stray from his face. "I probably could have spent my life at Baratie and wouldn't even have noticed if not for you throwing me head first into the thick of this. And I know they don't know me yet, or anything and I'm sure I have to play catchup with" his eyes roll slightly, "most of them." You snigger at his exasperation, but it smoothes out at the sound and his eyes find yours again, as always. "But you didn't have to bring me, you could have left me to my dissolving dream and gone out and sailed across the whole world and you didn't. You came back for me, and you took my hand and pulled me along too." Your smile crinkles your eyes.
"As always." He breaths a laugh out of his nose.
"Yeah." His face mellows out once more and he takes a deep breath, "Mon Cœur, I just wanted to say-"
"MARINES!" The shout rings out above the cheering that had started behind you and you both swivel around to watch as tens of Marines marched into the yard. "Form lines." Sanji's hand tightens and you pull him with you as you move towards the crowd where the rest of your crew stood. You push through the throng of people, ending up behind Luffy, with Sanji by your side. It was complete silence except for rhythmic marching of feet on dirt as they fell into formation, the leaders, the ones from the ship, Luffy's grandpa and his subordinates, stare at your group of six. Zoro puts his hand on the Wado Ichimonji, but the second in command in the fedora warned him off.
"I'd rethink that if I were you."
"So these are the Straw Hat Pirates. Huh. Marines, arrest them."
"Sir," a small voice, belonging to Koby, spoke beside him, "the Straw Hats didn't destroy Coco Village. It was Arlong." Garp peered at him a moment before turning back to you all.
"You have your orders, cadet." The pinkette, normally shy and retreating, stood firm and stepped out in front of his commander.
"No."
"What did you say?"
"I said no, sir."
"You do realise there are severe punishments for disobeying direct orders?"
"I disagree with those orders, sir." A smile grows on your face and peering over at Luffy he has an expression to match. What you weren't expecting was for Haircut Helmeppo, notorious nepo-baby of the 153rd Branch, to step forward and join him.
"Me too." Garp lets out a heaved sigh and chuckles.
"Anyone else like to follow their lead? Or do you all wanna follow orders instead?" A group of Marine cadets, armed with their standard rifles, move around Garp, Bogard, Koby and Helmeppo and aim for your crew. "Any of them move, make sure it's their last." Garp steps up and begins to approach your captain. "Come 'ere boy." You watch them as they step away from the group, and your body moves without your say so, that power in your chest now frantic and writhing, as you step along behind Luffy but still at a small distance. You miss the click of the rifles aimed at you, and Sanji's hand slipping from your grasp, but you also miss the way Bogard waves the cadets attention back to the others, instead matching your unconscious movement as your captain and the Vice-Admiral square off to each other. "I gave you every opportunity to follow my path, to become a respected Marine. But instead, you chose to become a pirate." A small smile tugs on Luffy's face.
"No, Grandpa. I've always been a pirate."
"No more running boy. Last chance. Give it up."
"That's not really my thing." Garp grips the shoulder of his overcoat and sends it flying over his shoulder, where it, with the heavy regalia and medals, pummels a poor cadet in the face, nearly knocking him over.
"Then show me what you've got."
With a yell, Luffy launches at him, but Garp with surprising speed ducks out of the way and throws a heavy punch into Luffy's stomach, sending him backwards.
As Luffy is thrown headlong in your direction, the world around you freezes and you think for a moment.
On one hand, you could move out of the way. Luffy's not that big or tall, so dodging him wouldn't be too difficult, you're used to getting away from people much bigger.
On the other however, you know this would lead to your captain landing away from the huge crowd of Marines and civilians, alone. This boy, who had stood by you all, who had encouraged you all to follow your dreams and join him in his, being left to fight by himself, even if he happily would, it didn't sit right with you.
You don't move.
As your captain bowls into you, you're hit with immediate regret. He isn't big, but he is dense, the feeling of him striking you in the chest is like being struck with half of Kaya's mansion worth of bricks, and you are both sent smashing through the remnants of someone's home or business, the seared wood crumbling under your combined weight. It reminds you, momentarily, of your first meeting in that pub. The same ache in your chest is present now as it was then.
Where Luffy stands with more ease, you're hit with a wave of mangled thoughts and feelings and dreams and wishes that haven't quite sorted themselves after being solidly simple for so long. A tidal wave of all the people around you slams down into your head and leaves you completely breathless for a moment.
Reprieve comes, however, in the form of a warm hand grabbing yours that was listlessly hanging in the air. An aura of certainty surrounds you as you gaze up at your captain. It's like staring straight at the sun after a lifetime of darkness.
As a child you were told eating the Treasure Treasure fruit was the stupidest decision you could have ever made. It was pointless, offering no additional skills to assist or support the Supreme Commander's family or scientific endeavours. As useless as the overly emotional boy you were assigned to follow and serve, branded with the number 3 with a line scored through it, and the marking of your country, a clear '66' etched into your skin forever.
But, as you lie in this courtyard, surrounded by marines vying for your capture and execution, and stare up at the grinning boy in a scruffy straw hat, you realise that no.
There were much much stupider decisions to be made.
You face cracks, a grin of equal excitement breaking out on you as he pulls you upright and you stare at him with a manic glee you're sure would be frightening to anyone else.
"You can go back to the others, ya know?" He mumbles, face stretched over that grin of his. "This isn't your fight." His eyes weave over to Garp for a moment before settling back on you, hand still clasped in his.
"You're my captain." Your grin matching his in ferocity, "Of course it is."
To this boy, this boy who resembles flashes of a memory from a blue-haired clown, of a face moustached and grinning in every worn and ragged wanted poster you had seen with the highest bounty known to man, to this boy, you're an equal. And as you turn as a pair, eyes blazing into the pair of Marines staring down at you, Garp and his grandson locking eyes and yours snap to the second in command, Bogard, who has his katana drawn and ready.
Neither manic smile leaves your faces, even as his brows furrow and his teeth disappear behind his lips.
"This is what you wanted right?" Garp calls, the Marine pair advancing towards you, "To be a pirate. Well, I'll show you what Marines do to pirates." As he walks along behind his vice-Admiral, Bogard unsheathes his katana, eyes laser focused on you.
"I don't want to fight you, Grandpa." You drop one of your chains from its snug spot in your arm to your side.
"You've been fighting me your entire life." As Garp swings down at him with all his might, Luffy pushes you to the side and dives out the way. Garp easily crumbles another section of flame-rotted wood, and you have to lurch your head back to avoid being beheaded as Bogard swings at you. Luffy swings out at Garp, who dodges, leaving the punch to hit random debris behind him. "When are you gonna learn that you can't win?!" With another punch, Luffy is sent flying through another ruined building, and though you go to follow like Garp does, the 'shing'-ing of a blade behind you halts that plan.
Grabbing hold of the other end of your chain, shorter than you would normally have it, you lift it above your head just as Bogard slashes at you. You continue to parry and push off the attacks of the second, but he's fast and doesn't seem to be tiring.
"God, they must work you lot to the bone." You grunt, catching on your chain as his katana strikes at you, and wrapping it up, blade caught up in the links. "If the 153rd had been trained half as well, I don't think we would've even made it out of Shells Town."
"We're seeing to that, don't you worry." He rips his blade free, and he swings at you over and over, catching the metal of the chain and sending sparks of hot white liquid metal cascading to the ground with every strike.
"I thought I'd trained you better than this!" You can hear Garp taunting Luffy, but you don't look away from your own adversary, as he removes his own coat from his shoulders, dropping it to the ground to be stained with soot and ash. As he did, you snap your chain out at his face, barely missing as he darts back, instead smacking the grey fedora off his head, and his attention follows you slap the metal on to his extended wrist, coiling it around before pulling taut. He holds out, keeping a firm stance and feet solidly placed as you hear your captains voice ring out.
"You did!" You watch as Bogard's eyes flicker to Garp and feel the resistance in his arms give as, instead of yanking back on the chain, he lets you pull him to you. A grin cracked your face. You can almost hear Roku's snarling laugh as you pull the same move he did, yanking Bogard off his feet and letting him fly towards you. As the metal of the katana blade zooms at your face, you dodge your head to the side, lift and twist your body, leg out to catch the man's momentum. Luffy's voice echoes through the air as Bogard lifts off the ground, his eyes wide with rage as you send him sailing past you.
"GUM GUM ROCKET!" With a yell, Luffy crashes into his grandpa's arm, clothes-lining himself as Bogard slams into the dirt, sent skipping across the ground like a stone on a pond, only sliding to a stop at Garp's feet. His katana lies at your feet, and you grab it quickly as he rolls painfully on to his front, the wind thumped out of him as he wheezes a cough. Garp ignores you both as he turns to Luffy's prone form.
"You don't know how dangerous the world is-DON'T YOU MOVE AGAIN!" His finger shoots out in your direction as you go to rush to your captain, and you freeze, staring down his arm to meet his smouldering eyes. "STAY." It's like being barked at by a dog, a dog that just smashed your (very strong) captain through two buildings. You listen, and he turns back to Luffy. "The Grand Line isn't some child's game." Marching to Luffy's spot, he lifts him by the lapels, dangling him in the air with a grunt. "I told you, you aren't ready."
"You can hit me all day long..." Luffy's voice is husky, "but I'm never giving up on my dream."
"Is that so?"
"I'm going to the Grand Line. And I will find the One Piece." A smile grows across his face and he laughs shakily, "And I will be King of the Pirates." His laughter grows stronger as he looks down at Garp, who just.
Drops him.
Before turning back, only to start laughing himself. You all stare at him, very confused as he chortles away, leaning on his knees. Bogard staggers to his feet and your eyes meet in a flash of glares as Garp rights himself.
"Have it your way. Lower your weapons. Bogard." He gestures his head to draw Bogard back to his side, and the man does so after lifting his coat. Spotting his katana in your hands, he scowls slightly but makes no effort to claim it back. "What are you all standing around for? Arlong's pirates are still on the loose. Hunt them down and arrest them." As the rows of cadets march away with Bogard at their tail, you pull Luffy to standing again and walk behind Garp, still eyeing him warily as the mouse captain approaches.
"What about these Straw Hats?" Garp shrugs.
"What about them?"
"Arrest them too! They are the real criminals." His sentence is barely finished before Nami knocks him out with a swift whack from her bo staff. Garp raises his eyebrows but says nothing before turning back to where Luffy is standing. You stay back a few steps, eyes not leaving the Vice Admiral.
"I knew I'd never change your mind. You're stubborn. Just like me. But I know who you are, boy. I just needed to make sure you knew it too." You sigh, rolling your head back at the stupidity of this family.
"You were testing me? Couldn't you have gone a little bit easier?" Garp shrugs with a grin.
"Where's the fun in that?" He places his hands on Luffy's shoulders with a surprising gentleness. "You're on your own now." He turns and walks away as Luffy watches him.
"No. I'm not. I have my friends." Garp's eyes flash to you, still standing behind Luffy, and then to the rest of your crew, and with a slightly baffled nod, leaves the village square.
You and Luffy are lounging on the stoop of Nojiko's home, you were doing your job of 'distracting' the captain for the others, as you tossed segments of tangerine to each other in the citrus perfumed heat of the afternoon. You barely raise your head from your position draped across the floor boards as you hear footsteps approaching, only peering up when Luffy exclaims a happy
"Koby! Come to see us off?"
"I don't think that's a good idea." You push yourself into sitting as the pink haired boy walks up to the house, two rolls of paper grasped in his hand. You grin smugly at him.
"You aren't trying to arrest us again, are you? It won't go as well as last time." He chuckled gently at your teasing as he comes to a stop.
"I'm not here as a Marine. I'm here as your friend. I wanted to show you guys something." You stand and join your captain as Koby hands him one of the rolls, handing the other one off to you. You watch over Luffy's shoulder as he unfurls it, peering at the printed image and large clear writing. "You did it. Finally got your face on a wanted poster. Nezumi's last act of revenge." You quickly unroll your own, realising what it must be. "He also upped your bounty, Y/n. I'm sorry I couldn't stop him." You stare at the poster, the image of yourself clean and crisp.
It was taken a few days ago, probably around when you were all in Arlong Park, the rocky formation behind you similar to what the place was surrounded with. Your eyes are vividly clear, aqua irises and gold pupils swirly and bright, snarling mouth showing your sharp canines and your arm pulled back, chain hanging in the air, frozen by the image. Your bounty, once twelve million, had been more than doubled, still lower than Luffy's thirty million, now sitting at twenty-seven million and five hundred thousand Berry.
"YEAH! YES!" You don't quite match Luffy's enthusiasm, sniggering in a mix of shock and horror at the fact people now view you so dangerously. "WHo-whoa! That's a lot of Berry! Let me-" he snatches your wanted poster out of your hands studying it quickly, "you've a high bounty too! Good job!" The punch he hits your shoulder with nearly topples you over, but he grabs and rights you without missing a beat. Koby stares at you both bemused.
"They're the two highest bounties in the East Blue." Luffy's grins up at him cheesily, "You're a wanted man now." Luffy's grin shrinks to gentle smile.
"That's exactly what I wanted." Without a second thought, he tugs the pair of you into a tight hug, squeezing you both excitedly. As he pulls back, he looks back at the pair of wanted posters happily.
"I guess this is goodbye then." Koby's eyes flicker across you both as you smile at him.
"How're you thinking Koby?" He ducks his head away from your gaze for a second. It doesn't last long as he shakes himself back, standing straighter and smiling at you.
"For myself." He speaks with confidence and you're happy for him, "They're doing a good job teaching us, but I know what I want, so I'm not letting them change my mind." Luffy watches you both, eyes warm and happy.
"Good!" You beam at him and red flushes his face, smile not wavering. "I will miss seeing you about..." your smile pulls into a pout, hiding the shakiness of your lips. You were so sick of crying.
"Goodbye Koby." Luffy steps in close, leaning in to his space and says, "Be a good Marine." Koby nods easily and answers
"Be a good pirate." Nodding once more before turning back and heading down the trail.
Luffy cackles to himself as he hops up over the gunnel, tugging you up behind him and still clutching the wanted posters. He marches into the galley happily, and you follow close behind into the well lit room.
"Guys! Check it out." As he unrolls the two posters side-by-side on the counter, you move back into Sanji's side, sneaking a chunk of carrot into your mouth before he can smack your hand away. The others get up and join you, staring down at your faces looking up at them from the pictures, bounties plastered clearly beneath.
"Hey, look! I'm famous!" You and Luffy peer at Usopp confused.
"What are you on about? That's Luffy's wanted poster." Sanji speaks from beside you, wiping down his knife as he does.
"Not just Luffy." He taps the paper, pointing out a small part of the image depicting the back of his head. You roll your eyes and smack your head into Sanji's shoulder, who chuckles at you. Usopp laughs as well, "Sorry guys, maybe if you work a little harder, you'll get a bounty too." Nami is eyeballing the Berry amounts under both your names as the argument around you strikes up.
"That doesn't count."
"It's okay to be jealous. Feel what you need to feel."
"I- mmm..." Sanji sighs out of his nose and Usopp and Nami look at each other, grinning.
"Maybe next time, you'll be in your partner's wanted poster, have you considered that?" Sanji's face flushes instantly at Usopp's words and your head pops upright as well.
"My who-?!" "His what-?!"
The others, aside from Luffy snigger away at the pair of you as Sanji awkwardly bats away questions from you, "You have a-"
"-No!"
"-what are they talking abo-"
"There's nothing to know, don't worry about it." He glares at Usopp who sniggers and raises his hands,
"Sorry, sorry, I must have misunderstood, you know, that whole dynamic." You squint at the sharpshooter as he continues to snigger, Zoro and Nami joining in as Sanji glares at them all.
"This is stupid."
"These," Zoro taps the paper with two fingers, "are gonna makes things much harder. With that amount for your heads, every bounty hunter in the East Blue will be gunning for you."
"Not just Y/n and Luffy, they'll be gunning for all of us." Nami agreed.
"Then it's a good thing we're not staying in the East Blue. We're going to the Grand Line." A smirk grows on your face as your captain smiles triumphantly, ignoring everyone else's concerned expressions.
Back at the docks in Dye Town, Yano leans over his desk, shuffling through transfer requests and patrol reports. Kyoko pushes through the door, hands laden with documents that she dumps on the corner of his desk. As he glares at the new mass of work, the Den Den Mushi Transferer on his desk starts to rumble and print off a new set of papers.
Kyoko plucks them from the printer delicately and eyes them, mouth pulling into a grimace as she looks them over.
"New bounty posters from Nezumi in Coco Village, sir." She hands them over, already moving to the door to avoid the fall out. He snarls at Luffy's, balling it up and chucking it into the waste paper bin as hard as he can as he stands from his desk.
Moving over to the chest at his wall, he crouches in front of it, eyes never leaving your own, the fierce image of your eyes glaring back at him from the new bounty poster. He flips open the chest mindlessly, the bulk of it full of a mess of papers, stolen reports from across islands in the East Blue regarding these new Straw Hat Pirates, especially the ones focusing on the weird one with glowing eyes. His attention, however, focuses on to the papers pasted to the lid. Your older bounty poster, outdated in a matter of days, and several older newspaper clippings that he had scavenged regarding the Baratie, especially the owner and the kids of the floating restaurant.
Gently, almost reverently, he smoothes out the new poster on to the lid with all the other images of you, and leans wistfully on the edge, staring longingly at your depiction across them. The centre of his iridescent yellow eyes, his blue-black pupil, wobbles into a heart shape.
"Don't worry Nakayoshi," he sighs dreamily, "I'll see you again soon."
Across the ocean, Zeff walks through the kitchen holding the two wanted posters. He pins Luffy's on to the employee of the month board. As the other chefs crowd around to look, he flattens the other on the wall below a cut out news clipping depicting the opening of the restaurant. A cheer sounds from the entire staff at your face plastered on the paper, hoots and hollers sounding as Zeff pins it to the wall, making sure it's straight before stepping back.
Patty stands beside him as the other chefs cheering reduces to chuckles and calmer laughs as they return to dinner prep, and the blue-haired chef leans more into his boss.
"Not bad for a second bounty, eh?"
"No," Zeff agrees, face stern but eyes proud, "Not bad at all."
⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
"So what do you think?" Having departed from Coco Village, the Going Merry was now on course to the Grand Line. You and your crew stand behind Luffy, all watching as Nami looks over the trio of tangerine trees that had been brought on board and placed at the stern. "It's a little piece of home to take with you on our journey."
"And I can whip up tangerine tarts anytime you want." Nami smiles gently as she caresses the familiar fruit before she turns to look at you all.
"It's perfect." You all grin at each other. "We actually have something for you too." Luffy continues grinning at her, confused. As you all turn to overlook the main deck, she calls, "Usopp, set the main!"
"Setting the main!" He shouts back jubilantly. The large main sail drops, the white canvas unfurling to display a redone skull and crossbones, resplendent in a straw hat with a red band. Luffy's hands reach out to grab Nami and Zoro's arms, his eyes gleaming at the sight in front of him. You were all smiling at him as he stared open mouthed before running across to the fore castle to gaze up at the sail.
"WHOO-HOO! WHOA!"
He continues cheering for ages, having clambered up on to the Going Merry's figurehead, still laughing and yelling and waving his hat and arms around.
You stand with Nami as she looks over the map to the Grand Line with a magnifying glass, ready to use your power to correct course if needed.
"The entrance to the Grand Line isn't too far off, but I think there's a mistake on the map."
"What do you mean?" Luffy calls down and begins to clamber off the sheep head as you join her at the barrel, looking over her shoulder at where she focused the magnifying glass.
"Well, it looks like a river or a canal or something, but it doesn't make any sense." You grin at Luffy as he stumbles down beside you, "These elevations show a mountain. I mean, how can a river go up a mountain?" Luffy shrugs.
"You're our navigator. We have a magic compass." He elbows you and you snort and roll your eyes. "You'll figure it out." He lands a slap to her shoulder with the back of his hand as Sanji calls up.
"Hey Luffy!" You all look round as he reaches the top of the stairs, grinning at you. "Come here, I've got an idea." You all watch him as he pulls a barrel to the middle of the deck. Luffy grins back at you and Nami before yelling to the others.
"Straw Hats! All hands on deck for a cast-off ceremony!" You all join Sanji as he props his leg up on the barrel lid.
"I'm gonna find the All Blue." Your eyes flash, an image of Sanji and Zeff in the kitchen of the Orbit swirling through your mind.
"I'm gonna be King of the Pirates!" A young Luffy grins, scar fresh on his cheek and t-shirt stained with blood.
"I'm gonna be the world's greatest swordsman." Zoro stands in the forest of his youth, face assured.
"I'm gonna draw a map of the world." Nami beams, flipping to the next page of the stolen atlas of her childhood.
"I..." Usopp sits on the edge of his mother's bed, watching her still face, "am gonna become a brave warrior of the sea!"
All eyes turn to you and you slowly raise your foot, placing it on the barrel and looking into the eyes of each of your crew mates.
"I'm gonna prove that my powers, and I, have worth! I will help you all achieve your dreams, or I'll die trying!!" Luffy and Usopp snigger at your dramatic words, the others keep watching you. "I will stand by your sides as your loyal crewmate!" Nami and Zoro look away, smiles growing on their faces as they begin to laugh to, Sanji's eyes the only ones still on you. "And as your friend." His face melts in a pure and happy smile and you both join in the laughter. Luffy grins at all of you.
"This is it, crew. The Grand Line. Nothing's gonna stand in our way!! YEAHHHH!!" You all roar and cheer and laugh along with him as you set off.
In pursuit of your true treasures!
Final Author's Notes: Reader as Irish/based on Irish nationality ala Oda's suggestions for what nationality the strawhats would be. So Readers attacks were all the areas they attacked (chest, stomach, legs and head) and their finishing move "Slabhra Stór" (Treasured Chain, I couldn't think of anything more original that didn't end up being like, six words long lol) in Irish I hope you all enjoy the final chapter of Treasure Treasure! (For now at least) and thank you so much for reading! I will hopefully be back soon with some original content of Sanji and Reader when they were younger in Baratie while I plan out the anime/manga adaptation a bit more. Please feel free to check out the poll and the rest of my Tumblr! Thank you again for reading and have a great day :)
A DADDY’s GIRL
characters featured: crocodaddy, warlords, marines.
genre: fluff
notes: father!crocodile x daughter!reader, PLATONIC RELATIONSHIP, black!coded reader, crocodaddy and his baby girl🥹
grammar warning!! not rlly proofread…this been sitting in the drafts for a hot minute…
Tumblr media
• mans love him some of his daughter.
• safe to say his world now revolves around you. he never thought he would want kids but when you popped out….oh he was bringing you everywhere.
• he thought the lady (your mother) was bullshittin when she said she was pregnant. he’s experienced many women trying to trap him before, so he just brushed it off wit a “yea ok”
• oh but when he saw that baby bumpppp. his whole mood changed. he started filling out paperwork to get full custody all ready😭 and ofc he won bc…it’s him. (pls. just work wimme here)
Tumblr media
6yr old you waking up in an overly decent sized room due to the sun coming through your curtains and your TALL ASS father coming into the room. you’re trying to rub the sleep from your eyes as you sit up to look at him while he motions to pick you up.
“morning princess.” he says while placing a light kiss to your cheek. in response to his actions you simply place your head on his shoulder and allow yourself to be whisked away.
“still sleepy, hmm?” he says placing another kiss to the top of your head and watches as you nod, confirming his accusation.
now its a lot of things that crocodile has people do for him like his dirty work…but when it comes to you he allows them to do your hair, pick out outfits, feed you, etc. but he adores the simple things like getting you out of bed, tucking you in at night and other simple things that falls in between. other than that he leaves it to the maids he’s hired.
he takes you everywhere..and i mean everywhere. he has a meeting? he’s putting you in the cutest business outfit ever. the warlords are called together? he already got snacks and toys packed for you. anywhere this man is going he’s taking you and he doesn’t care about repercussions.
with that being said…a warlord meeting was called.
so..everyone walking in and taking their respective seats, meanwhile crocodile walking in with you in his arms and he’s late.
now we all know boa isn’t fond of men so as soon as crocodile puts you on the ground she’s swiping you away..immediately. she thinks he’s corrupting your mind or sum. but you cannot tell me boa would not love you. she’s turning you into the best feminist ever. (gotta start em off young!!) she even though about taking you to the kuja island… and never bringing you back. after a while, her and your dad start arguing so you go speak to some of the other warlords.
mihawk was just minding his business and wishing he had stayed home. you stumble over with a pack of fruit snacks, holding them out for him to take them. “you looked upset so here!” your tiny voice chirps up at him. he couldn’t bring himself to reject your offer, especially when you looked up at him with a determination to make him ‘feel better’. so he simply raised his eyebrow at you and took them while giving you this thanks and a smile that wasn’t too noticeable, but you saw it.
now…it’s two men in this entire room that you simply can’t express enough emotion for. doflamingo and gecko moria. now to be frank, you didn’t despise doffy like you did the other one but you weren’t exactly fond of him either. it’s like you tolerated him. he was kind to you but something about him just seemed off.
nevertheless your feet carried you to where doflamingo sat on a windowsill waiting for this excuse of a meeting to start. “hi doffy.” the pureness in your voice snapping him out of whatever unhinged things he was thinking about. “hello there little one. you look so adorable in your f/c dress.” he replied in a mellow tone. you muttered a small “thank you” before asking him about the whereabouts of kuma, at the last meeting he asked you what your favorite flower was and you finally had an answer for him but much to your dismay the blonde haired man had no idea. (not like he cares but hey)
ultimately choosing to ignore the presence of the other being in the room you swiftly made your way over to jinbe and had a short conversation with him regarding the sunflower drawing that adorned your dress, the fishman states how much he loved the design. after that ended you made your way back with your father and the warlord meeting began shortly after.
warlord meetings were always a pain but having you there always made it seem a little bit better for everyone—even the marines thought you were adorable although, they never showed it..except for garp. he’s a grandpa, ofc he’s gonna act like one towards a child. so every time the meeting truly starts garp takes you away and you two walk around the marineford gardens. he also takes you to sengoku’s office so you can see his goat and eat snacks while he annoys sengoku.
Reacting to you making/giving them a friendship bracelet Pt.3 Marine Edition (Issho, Koby, Smoker, and Garp)
Tumblr media
AN- I've had so much fun making these! I hope you all enjoy
Masterlist
Characters- Fujitora, Koby, Smoker and Garp
(Find part one featuring Roger, Ace, Marco, Shanks and Doffy here)
(Find part two featuring Zoro, Luffy, Sanji, Bart, Sabo and Law here)
Warnings/Content- Some angst in Smokers, Garp's part is NSFW ;)
More under the cut :)
Tumblr media
 Issho (Fujitora)
 💜-This man is such a gentle giant 🥹
 💜- Since Issho is blind you try to gift him things that he can feel
 💜- So when you decided to make him a bracelet, you made sure to use different shaped and different textured beads
“Y/N is that you?”
 “Maybe~” You sit beside the large man and gently grab his hand “I have a surprise for you!”
 “What’s this?” His fingers run over the soft threads of the bracelet you’ve placed on his wrist. “Did you make this?”
 “I sure did!” You beam. “The base of the bracelet is a deep purple, so that it matches your outfit!”
 “I see, any special reason why you made it my darling?”
 “It’s just like the bracelet says.” Issho was confused at first but ran his fingers over the beads of the bracelet. His smile widens, feeling that the letters spell out I love you.
 “I hope you don’t mind.” His large hands come up to cradle your face as his fingers trace over your nose, eyes and finally your lips.  “Since I can’t see it, I want to feel the kind and beautiful smile of the woman I adore.”
 (Issho can actually see the colorful hue of the bracelet thanks to the love and kindness you put into making it)
Tumblr media
Koby
🌸💕-  Koby was getting ready to go on his first overseas mission as a marine captain. Meaning he was going to be gone for a few months.
🌸💕- You knew he was going to miss you just as much as you were going to miss him, so you wanted to give him something that would remind him of you. Thus you made him a bracelet
🌸💕- When you gave it to him he turned into a absolute, blushing mess (He was internally giggling and kicking his feet)
🌸💕- As happy as he was to receive the bracelet, he felt bad knowing he didn’t have anything to give you
🌸💕- You assured him that it was okay, but seeing you walk away empty handed left a bad taste on his tongue
  “Wait Y/N!” You turn around on the dock to see your boyfriend running towards you at full speed. “Koby?” You raise your brow as he tries to catch his breath.
 “Please take this.” Koby’s pink hair falls against his forehead as he unties the bandanna wrapped around his head. “May I?” You smile and bring your hand up so he can wrap the colorful fabric around your wrist. “It’s not a bracelet, but you can at least wear it like one!”
 “Captain, we got the go ahead from HQ!”
 “Roger that.”
 “You better get going captain.” You reach up and give him a kiss on his flushed cheek. “Come back to me, okay?”
 “I promise I will.” Koby’s hand wraps around yours as he pulls you close to him. “Let me give you one more thing before I go….” Your eyes widen in shock, feeling his soft lips press against yours for the very first time.
 You both pull back with embarrassment flooding your faces hearing the whistles and “Get it captain!” comments coming from the ship above you.
 “I have to go now, love.” With a cherry red face he pulls you in for one last hug. “I’ll be back before you know it.”
 “I’ll be waiting.”
 ~~~~
 “Where did that come from?” Helmeppo confronted the blushing boy as soon as he stepped foot on the ship. “Did she cast some kind of love spell on that bracelet?”
 “I don't know honestly.” Koby looks at the bracelet with a dopey smile plastering his face. “I love her so much.”
 “I know that you love sick fool..... also why do you look like you're about to pass out?”
 “Because I am.” With that his unsteady knees finally gave out, sending him straight to the deck.
 Despite the fact it took him two hours to fully recuperate, he was still proud of himself for finally finding the courage to properly kiss you. (No bewitched bracelet required)
(Koby learnt a very valuable lesson that day. Love is a hurricane!! )

 Smoker
💨- The second you gave him the bracelet he handed it back saying something like “I’m a grown man and I don’t wear silly little bracelets, go give it to Tashigi.”
💨- Definitely not the reaction you were hoping for AT ALL
💨- You grab that bracelet and leave his office, but not before bitterly saying “It won’t mean anything to her….”

Once Smoker finally got home it was already nearing midnight. He was making his way towards your shared bedroom when he noticed something colorful in the hallway trash can. He pulled it out and recognized it as the bracelet you tried to give him earlier.
 “Fuck me.” What you said before you left his office finally made sense to him. Why would you give Tashigi a bracelet that had his and your relationship anniversary date on it? “How could I not remember that it was today?”  Not only did he reject your gift, he also forgot today actually was your anniversary. Now he was feeling like an absolute asshole, but he’s dead set on making things right.
 Smoker opens the door to your bedroom to find the comforter still in place. She’s not here. Then he checked the guest bedroom. Not there either.  He was about to freak out thinking you had left, but remembered he had one more place to check.
  He felt a wave of relief wash over him finding you fast asleep on the living room couch. But that relief quickly turns into heartbreak, seeing the balled up tissues scattered around your curled up body.
 “Y/N..” There was no gruffness in the way your name left his lips. “I’m so sorry.” He brushes the stray hairs out of your face and notices the puffy ring of red around each of your eyes. “My sweet girl.” He thinks back to earlier that day, how you were happy and smiling. But he selfishly stole that from you. “I don’t deserve you at all.”
 “Hell no you don’t.” You lift up from the couch and wack his hand away.
 “You're awake??”
 “Yeah, I have been the whole time..”
 “Listen Y/N, I don’t have an excuse for my actions and I won’t make one.” Smoker sat down next to you on the couch and took your hand in his.  “Just know I am sorry and I love you.”
 “I thought you “wouldn’t wear a silly little bracelet” ?” You grab the bracelet on his hand with a quirked brow.
 “Well I didn’t know my silly little woman made it for me.” He replies with a smirk. “But even if you didn't, I should have accepted it.”
 “Yeah, but It’s in the past now.” You grab the blanket and place it back over your body. “I’m going to sleep, goodnight Smokey.”
 “On the couch?”
 “Is that a problem?”
 “No, I guess not.” You were hoping he’d pick you up bridal style and whisk you away to bed, but the big oaf just walked away. He never learns. “I’ll sleep right here then.” Surprised to hear his voice again, you turn around and see him throwing pillows and blankets on the floor
 “I suppose you will.” You huff and close your eyes.
 “Y/N.” You hum in response “I think you dropped something on the floor.”
 “Dropped wha-.”
 “I may have lost track of time and forgot today was our anniversary.” You lift up from the couch in complete shock seeing the ring Smoker held in his hand. “But that doesn’t mean I didn’t have anything planned for our anniversary.” You could feel tears forming in the corners of your eyes. “Will you marry me Y/N?”
 “You jerk…” You hold your left hand up, letting him slide the ring over your finger. “Of course I will.” You jump down from the couch and tackle Smoker to the floor as you cry tears of joy.  “I'm still mad at you, but I’m also really happy.” You pull away and look to see Smoker also has tears of his own forming.
 “Babygirl I’m happy too and all, but...” His voice strains as if he were in pain. “Your knee.”
 “What about my knee?” You look down and see he wasn’t crying for the reason you originally thought. “Oops.” During the process of jumping your now fiancée, your knee had unfortunately landed on his privates. “Honey I am so sorry!”
 “It’s okay.” You could tell he was holding back a scream. “I deserved it anyway.”
 “Drop the Mr. Tough guy act.” You roll your eyes. “Want me to go get a frozen bag of peas or something?”
"........"
"......."
 “Please.”
 (Smoker may have lost his ability to have kids, but it was worth seeing you fawn over your engagement ring.)

 Garp (NSFW)
💥- Despite your relationship with Garp being a secret (For.... special reasons) he’s all the time sneaking you small trinkets or leaving you a stack of his rice crackers on your desk.
💥-He can't help himself, he just loves giving you things. (At one point he even tried to steal Sengoku's goat for you because you said it was cute💀)
💥- But you wanted to return the favor and what better way than with something handmade
  “Garp, can I come in sir.” You knock on his office door before reviving a gruff come in. “I have something for you.”
 “Is that my Y/N?" His rough tone softens seeing you standing at his door. “Don’t just stand there, come here.” He said while patting his lap.
 “Isn’t that a bad idea considering we’re both at work?” Your cheeks heat up at his nonchalant invite . “What if you know who sees me, he’d kill me for sure!”
 “Honestly, I hope that bastard walks in here one of these days.” Garp smirks before giving you a serious look. “And you know I wouldn’t let him harm a hair on your head, right?”
 “I know.”
"Good, so come here."
“I guess it won’t hurt, but only for a little while.” You sigh before crawling into the large mans lap.
 “Atta girl.” Garps arms wrap around your back, pulling you further into his embrace. “So what did you have for me?”
 “I can’t give it to you smother me to death!” You voice strains as you lightly smack his broad chest.
 “Oops, sorry.” He pulls away letting you get some much needed air. “You okay down there?”
 “Yeah.” You nod your head as you grab the bracelet from your pocket. “Hand please.” Garp holds his hand out, letting you slip the bracelet over his large hand.
 “Well, would you look at that?” The older man studies the bracelet with a fond smile. “What a sweet girl, making an old man like me something so pretty.”
 “You're all the time doing things for me, so I wanted to show my appreciation and ” You reach up and give him a quick peck on the lips. “love~”
 “Your love huh?” You didn't even get the chance to reply before the man had you pinned down face first on his desk. “In that case why don’t you show me just how much you love me?”
 “Garp not here, we can’t!” It was to late, his hands had already ripped away both your uniform skirt and underwear.
 “Why, worried about your daddy seeing you?” Garp mocks while landing a hard smack on your ass. “If anything you should worry about him hearing you.”
(Garp absolutely loved the bracelet you gifted him. But even with that being said, he may like the "gift" you're giving him right now a little bit better. Or maybe a lot more, because in his eyes there isn't anything he loves more than getting to fuck Akainu's precious daughter.)
AN- To all my Y/N's who read Garp's part, click me for a surprise

Listen in my defence Garp is a Dilf or a Gilf depending on the time line XD
Maybe Garp (or Sanji if writing Garp makes you uncomfortable) S , K , I , W , H
Congratulations! You got six letters because I accidentally did V instead of W at first!
Also I will write for any character from One Piece (barring child characters given that this alphabet is inherently more mature) so long as I've gotten to them in the show, so you don't have to worry about me not wanting to write for a certain character. Like I would write for Blackbeard if someone requested him.
Hell: What would be their darling’s worst experience with them?
Given Garp's insane strength, it would be very easy for him to hurt you even just accidentally. He never sets out to hurt you. With his power and his connections, there's no real need for violence. However, if you catch him in a bad mood and really push your luck, he might grab you too tight and effortlessly break your arm. He realizes what he's done the second he hears the snap and immediately regrets it. You'll be hauled off to see a doctor immediately and he spends the next month spoiling you in an attempt to make you forget about what happened. All that being said, upsetting him to this point is borderline impossible, so this is very unlikely to happen.
Ideals: What kind of future do they have in mind for/with their darling?
All that he wants is someone to have by his side for the rest of his life. Ideally, someone that isn't going to raise his blood pressure like the rest of his family does. He just wants to be able to relax and have fun with his darling in his down time. You guys are going to get married, but it'll likely be no more than a marriage certificate unless you really push for a wedding. He's too old and set in his ways to care that much about ceremonies and "superficial shit", as he puts it.
Don't worry about children. This man has adult grandchildren. He's good. He really does not want to be starting over with a baby at his age. Not to mention the fact that everyone in his family is a damn criminal. He does not want to see another descendant on a wanted poster before his deathbed, thank you very much.
Kisses: How do they act around or with their darling?
Presuming that you two have a significant age gap, Garp is usually mistaken for being your father. He isn't a particularly romantic man (no one in this family is), so very little about his behavior would make people think that you're a couple. In public, he'll be walking beside you, but usually isn't touching you beyond brief touches to get your attention. He's talking loudly (usually lightheartedly complaining about his family) and making dumb jokes.
In private, he's a bit more affectionate, but most of the time it's in an annoying way. He's like a young boy that thinks the only way to get his crush's attention is by being a nuisance. Except you're married and he's in his seventies. He'll be pranking you and going out of his way to do things that'll get a rise out of you. He can be normally affectionate with quick kisses on the cheek before he leaves the home, or by picking you up in a hug and spinning you around.
Stigma: What brought about this side of them (childhood, curiosity, etc)?
Desperation for a normal family member combined with his devil-may-care attitude. If he finds someone that he likes well enough to pursue a relationship with, why shouldn't he go after them just as strongly as he would a pirate? What's so wrong about him wanting to have some company on lonely nights? He's a marine. He's a good man. You'll come around and learn to appreciate this arrangement.
Vice: What weakness can their darling exploit in order to escape?
You have three options with Garp:
1: If he isn't bringing you with him on his ship while he's working, you have all of that time to make a break for it. It might be tricky giving the marine base he keeps you at the slip, but it's much easier than trying to run away from him directly. These escapes will be short lived. Maybe a week into your freedom, Garp will rock up wearing a hawaiian shirt and carrying a suitcase while asking why you went on vacation without him.
2: You have three step-grandchildren that would be eager to get involved. You don't even need to convince them that you're here against your will. All you have to do is ask if they want to piss off their grandfather and they'll be on their way to wherever you are to begin the game of darling-keep-away.
3: Assuming there's a big age gap here... you could also just wait him out. Sure, it'll probably take a couple of decades for him to finally kick the bucket. He isn't the type of yandere to kill his darling so he can "take them with him", so you'll still have the rest of your life left. It'll be easy to afford a therapist for everything you went through after you cash in on your late husband's pension and life insurance policy, so at least you have that to look forward to.
Wit’s end: Would they ever hurt their darling?
As discussed in H, yes, but it's accidental. He genuinely has no desire to harm his darling. His attitude is too carefree and lax with you to become violent without several other extreme factors being at play.

"What the-Get that out of your mouth!?"
Before the two could react, you snatched the duo cigars from Smoker's mouth and threw it in the rubbish can.
"(Y/n), no-"
"(Y/n), yes." You retorted and lowered the newspaper you used to hide your appearance. "We're on an island surrounded by pirates for The Pirates Fest and you want to smoke?"
The older male grunted and licked his dry lips. "They're not going to recognize me."
You felt your left eye twitching. Smoker looked exactly like himself except his outfit was different and even then on the left side of his chest were extra cigars.
He even still had his jitte, only having it wrapped in a white bandage attached to his back.
While the Vice Admiral's disguise was rather simple and plain, his subordinate's was much more flashy. Tashigi wore her blue capris and magenta long-sleeve with a pink scarf around her neck.
And the most flashy thing she wore was the large exaggerated pink hat with a yellow puff flowing behind. Not to mention she even had her sword attached to her hip.
"Your disguises are ridiculous. These pirates will be able to recognize you from a mile away." You grumbled under your breath and crossed your arms under your chest. "I knew I should have bought your disguises for you..."
"You should look at yourself first before saying something to us." Smoker answered, provoking you to raise an eyebrow.
"Huh?" You asked with your left eye twitching. You took this infiltration seriously, especially when you were trying to work your way up the ranks.
Being a Vice Admiral was great and all, especially when your subordinates considered your rank just below Veteran Tsuru and Monkey D. Garp.
It was a great accomplishment but many actually believed you didn't deserve it since you weren't a devil fruit user.
You were proficient and Haki enough, but there was clear Bias against you because of your gender than your male counterparts.
Not to mention the jealousy from your peers from how fast you ranked up compared to others.
It didn't matter at the same time since they were nothing to you. You use your position for the well-being of others, and the more accomplishments you have, the more power you earn.
To hide your prominent appearance, well known to the pirates, you adorned a short black-haired wig with a few golden stripes.
Instead of your marine uniform, you wore a red tank top that stopped below your naval. Black leggings covered your bottom and ended at your ankles where red heels protected your feet. And to cover your well know jagged scars on your back and shoulders, a black leather jacket was worn over your arms.
Your crystal fans were skillfully hidden inside your jacket, making you appear rather harmless if it wasn't for the intense gaze in your (e/c) iris'.
"I am the most unrecognizable one, you foolish marine. If it wasn't for Black Cage Hina, you wouldn't have been able to stay in your position due to that mouth." You snapped causing Smoker to get in your face.
"You're one to talk. Being a Vice Admiral but somehow always losing to that mask-wearing supernova from the worst generation. "
His words caused you to gape at him like a fish. "That's funny coming from you. And I wouldn't consider it losing if there is never a winner." You hissed.
Smoker laughed in his throat and leaned back. "I'd consider it losing if I were to be scarred like that by his blades." He said, referring to the markings all over your body, especially the one on the left side of your lip.
A thin slice started at the bottom of your nose and ends at your chin. It was a fairly new injury so you knew the pirates wouldn't recognize you with the new wound.
"Not to mention you wouldn't have even made it to that rank if it wasn't for Fleet Admiral Sakazuki wanting to get in your pants." Smoker stated.
"I should kill you." You mumbled in response before placing a strand of the fake hair behind your ear. "And Fleet Amiral Sakazuki didn't want to suck my titties until after I was promoted to Vice Admiral."
Tashigi let out an awkward laugh at the tension and lowered her newspaper. "Let's not forget why we're here." She said and attempted to change the subject.
The brunet brought up a tan piece of paper with important information on it. "Our main target is the big boss, Festa the "Festival Maker". A big-time pirate from the days of Roger, who we thought died in a sea king accident."
"And this guy too." You added in and handed the female a folded piece of paper. "The man the Navy quarters won't even admit is alive."
The woman unfolded the paper and assessed the bounty picture printed out on it. "Douglas Bullet...The worst escapee from level six at Impel Down..."
Smoker leaned back in his chair and placed two more cigars in his mouth, lighting them unapologetically. "If those two are teamed up, this is clearly no ordinary festival."
Before you could speak the ground suddenly began to shake and pirate ships in the water began to get sucked into a vortex that was forming.
People began to panic and knock into things around them. You had no reaction as Smoker and Tashigi looked around worriedly.
"Don't worry about it." You mumbled and slowly stood up from your sitting position. "It's nothing you need to bother with. Come on, let's see if we can find some information."
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
"(Y/n), you're getting distracted."
You snapped out of it and quickly wiped the drool that you had salivated. Although you were trying to be serious since there was a lot riding on what you three could come out with, you couldn't help but get distracted at the food stands.
"No, I'm not." You snapped and quickly made your way down the street. Tashigi and Smoker looked at each other before sighing to themselves.
You were typically much scarier than this but when you were at events-like festivals-you were the type to get rather sidetracked. Even reverting to a child-like wonder since as a child you were never able to experience the youthfulness of the world.
The two marine officers followed after your form and listened closely to those around them. You did the same...but couldn't help diverting your attention to the food that smelled absolutely delicious and the jewelry stands that displayed accessories that twinkled like mini stars.
The Vice Admiral had to basically hold you back at certain points when you started to wander off on your own. You couldn't help it, shiny objects always attracted your attention, and that was how you were stuck with Saisei Kurisutarufan, the regenerative crystal fans.
Your attraction to glistening objects was your downfall. Originally you thought they were just crystals in odd shapes, but as soon as you grabbed hold of the weapons, they immediately named you their master and fused themselves to your soul.
Ever since then you were unable to rid yourselves of the fans. They were a part of your soul and always found their way back to you.
"Did you hear that?" Tashigi's voice brought you back from your thoughts as she pulled the three of you into an alley. "It's only a rumor, but it's spread so widely."
You nodded your head and crossed your arms under your chest. "I know. And if we're caught, this could end extremely badly for us."
The white-haired officer nodded his head and inhaled deeply from his two cigarettes that you were quick to snatch and stomp under your heels.
"You disgraceful marine!" The male snapped. "You're worse than Tashigi and she's incredibly absentminded!"
Abruptly you slammed your hands against the older male's mouth and shushed him. "You're gonna blow our cover, you obstinate fool!"
The male flicked your hands off of his face and wiped his mouth as if it was dirty. Tashigi began to speak again, but your attention was seized when something shiny caught your eye.
Moving without thinking you walked down the alley into another street to stop at a stall. The display cases held glimmering ornaments, and even some daggers the color of gold.
You gawked at the gems and brought your purse out, ready to buy the items without really thinking. However, you were quickly pulled out of your fantasy when a cool gust of wind raked through your clothes.
Glancing around you noticed the sun was setting and the sky was becoming visibly dark. Tashigi and Smoker were nowhere to be found, and you couldn't blame them this time since it was indeed you who wandered off first.
"Sh*t." You cursed under your breath and quickly left the stand. You had to find the two officers on this giant island and even though they weren't disguised the best, there were thousands of people here you had to look past to find your partners.
And because you didn't want to deal with the Vice Admiral at night you went and booked a separate hotel away from the two. Blowing air out of your nose like a bull, you continued down the street to make your way to your hotel.
Tashigi knew where your lodging was so if they were really concerned they would meet you there. The hard expression on your face morphed into a sudden grin.
And that meant you could finish exploring the streets to your pleasure without the white-haired male berating you for getting distracted.
And of course, you enjoyed it to your heart's content. Hungrily you devoured the grilled meat (or alternative :p) and churros that you bought from a couple of stands.
You strutted down the streets, the glow of the lights casting upon your skin as you grew closer to your lodging.
"Hey! Do you want to play a game?"
Your attention was diverted to a male calling out to you. It was a rather large stand with tables and chairs surrounding it.
People were sitting around eating and obviously enjoying the delicacies. The one who called out to you appeared to be a tall muscular man with styled brown hair.
He was sitting at a table with another man with black hair. At the table they were sitting at was a giant platter with takoyaki stacked up in a pyramid.
You swallowed the bite in your mouth and stepped closer to their table. "A game?" You sought. "What kind of game?"
The one who called over to you directed one of his hands to the mountain of food. "It's a game sort of like russian roulette. Most of the takoyaki here is normal, with regular filling but there are some that are alternatively filled with wasabi."
You gained a bit of interest from the idea and sat down at their table. "Go on."
"Each of us grabs seven and puts them on our plate. The first one to finish all seven wins. It's a simple game but the wasabi they sell here on Delta Island is crazy spicy."
"And the reward?" You asked.
The black-haired one snorted. "Bragging rights."
"I'm down." You shot back. You were rather competitive, even if there was no true reward. You just liked to say that you won.
"Alright." The brown-haired male cheered. "I'm Delano and he's Tajo. We'll be your competitors on this fine evening."
You couldn't help but snicker at the pirates. Even if you couldn't fight any pirates or you would break your cover, you'll sure as h*ll win a simple competition.
"Greetings to you two. You may call me Enola." You said using your alias.
"Nice to meet you, Enola." The two chimed before fixing their posture and straightening their plates.
"Ready," Delano asked you.
You nodded your head.
"Begin!" Tajo declared.
Using your chopsticks, you skillfully placed seven on your plate before devouring them. The first two were normal, tasting absolutely delicious.
But the third one almost knocked the wind out of you. "Holy sh*t." You choked and coughed aloud. 'They didn't lie when they said this was spicy.'
Delano laughed at you, causing himself to choke on his bite. Tajo shook his head and was already on his fourth one but inhaled deeply at what you assumed was a spicy bite.
It literally didn't really matter if you lost, but you're quite a sore loser regardless of what the competition was about.
You ate a couple more, the three of them being tampered with takoyaki. Your eyes watered from the heat, though you swallowed strenuously and sniffled.
Mama ain't raise no p*ssy b*tch...Well, mama didn't raise you at all, but that's not the point. Stuffing the last one in your mouth, you dropped your chopsticks on your plate in accomplishment.
You leaned back in your seat and crossed your arms under your chest in a proud manner while swallowing the last two that were regular.
Delano threw his eating utensil on the table and grabbed a water bottle to chug down the bite in his mouth.
"Wow, I lost to a little girl." Tajo groaned and pushed his plate away from himself. You flared your nose and shook your head.
"I'm twenty-five."
The two males did a double-take and choked on their spit. "Y-You're older than us by two years?" Delano asked as if he was in disbelief.
You snickered at their reactions before standing up and sniffling from the heat that was burning within your mouth.
"Well, pleasure beating you children, but I must be on my way. Have a fine night." You called out at the two males, who waved their hands dejectedly.
While walking down the streets, your mouth still burned, and your head felt fuzzy. The heat from the wasabi was really getting to you now.
Buying a bottle of water, you continued down the path, whereas for some reason, you began to feel uneasy, as if someone was watching you.
Glancing around, no one was paying any attention to your frame. Everyone was too busy with their own matters for you to be the center of attention.
You took another sip of your water, but it didn't seem to be any help at all. In fact, you were beginning to feel worse.
Not only was it just your tongue, but your whole body began to feel hot. Your limbs felt heavy, and you couldn't help but sway.
The bright street lights were hurting your head, yielding you to enter one of the alleys and hold yourself up against the wall since it was so dark and dim.
You couldn't help but pant heavily, your chest rising and falling raggedly. "What...Is wrong with me?" You wheezed out, shaking with most of the strength in your legs, feeling as if they were dissipating.
"Ha, it took longer than expected to work on you."
You swallowed thickly and slowly turned to look over your shoulder to see Delano and Toja making their way down the alley.
"What are you-" Delano didn't let you finish as he grabbed your arm roughly and pulled you close to his body, your water bottle falling to the ground.
"There were drugs in the ones you ate. You didn't think we called you over just for a stupid game, did you?" Toja asked, his hands running up your leg.
"You..." You could barely get the words out from how heavy your tongue felt. "You f*cker's spiked it."
"Don't worry." The brunet mused. "It's nothing bad, just something to put you in the mood and extra sensitive. Plus-" His free hand played with the hem of your leggings. "-they say older women do it better. So why don't we find out~."
You grit your teeth, fury mending into every fiber of your muscles. Tajo's lips could be felt on the side of your neck with Delano's hand attempting to pull down your leggings.
"W-Wait!" You cried, but they didn't listen. Your black jacket was ripped off your torso; a bruise now formed around the side of your throat from the black-haired male.
His hands grasped the hem of your shirt, pulling it upwards while your leggings were being tugged downwards.
With all the strength you could muster, you summoned Saisei Kurisutarufan. The glimmering teal and lemonade pink fans with the black opal handle flew from under your coat and landed in your hands.
You didn't even hesitate in your movement, slicing their throat with the sharp edge of your weapon. They gasped, halting their actions before falling backward and landing on the ground with a loud thud.
A wide slice was made across the skin of their throats and was opened widely. Dark-colored minerals protruded against the cut, with their blood turning into pearl-shaped gems.
You huffed loudly and fell against the wall, barely able to keep your frame on the surface. Your body was burning up to the point where you felt like you were going to melt.
"I never thought I would actually see you here."
Whirling around, you pointed your fans at the end of the alley and glared. "Show yourself!"
There was a moment of silence before you heard footsteps, and a man's figure was illuminated by the glow of the streets.
Your eyes widened at the sight; you were in disbelief. It was your worst enemy, your eternal rival, and the one who you continuously never won over.
The Massacre Soldier, Killer.
If Killer recognized you, then he would most definitely take advantage of your situation and end you right there and there.
He was dressed just as he usually was, only for his light purple jeans and his shirt a dark mulberry purple. The sash around his waist was tan, and his sheaths were still attached to his hips.
The last time you saw him was when he busted your nose and gifted you your most recent scar on your face.
"W-Who are you!?" You asked, still having to keep your cover.
"Do you really think I wouldn't recognize you?" You flinched from his deep voice and cowered slightly when he took long heavy steps to your frame. "I'll always be able to tell it's you, (Y/n)."
You bared your teeth and attempted to slash one of the twin fans across his throat, but you stumbled instead, and the male had to catch you.
You barely had any more strength, the effects of the drug growing stronger the longer it stayed in your system.
One of his muscular arms was wrapped around your waist to hold you upright while the other grasped your discarded jacket.
The heat of his body made you tremble; your mind was so hazy, and your throat so dry. And when you smelled the faintest hint of the sea and cologne on his body, your p*ssy couldn't help but throb because of his manly scent.
"You're so..." You swallowed hard and panted. "Lucky I can't f*cking kill you right now."
The male glanced down at you and tilted his mask-covered face. The wig that was on your head was starting to slide back and reveal your real hair beneath.
Your face was flushed with color; a smoky look was in your eyes with your lips parted. Heavy pants left your lips with a slight trail of drool dribbling down the corner of your mouth.
The sight of your face was already as er*tic as it was. But then, when he looked closely and gazed across your bare shoulders with the straps of your top falling down your biceps, it was almost too enticing.
The bottom of your shirt was pulled up and crumbled at your chest, revealing your bare stomach covered in scars.
Not to mention the hem of your pants was lowered, revealing the thin straps of your undergarment pressing into the skin of your waist.
Your appearance was completely disheveled and troubled. The sight made the male swallow thickly and took a deep breath.
You were the woman from the Marines that he always fought, always went toe to toe with but could never beat. The strongest female he knew, and here you were in an alley, unable to even raise a fist to his face.
You were completely vulnerable, something he had never seen before.
"Let me go, you f*cking oaf." He blinked before glancing down at you and doing as you said. As soon as the support was gone, your legs crumpled, and you fell to your knees, groaning from the pain.
"Whatever happened to the big bad Vice Admiral, huh? The Pirate Killer?" He teased lightly and crossed his large muscular arms over his broad chest.
You grit your teeth at his taunting remarks and weakly hovel to your feet. Snatching the coat from him, you placed the fans back within the inside pockets and leaned against the wall.
"I ate something spiked; moreover, I'm livid, so If you don't get out of my way and leave me be, I'm going to f*cking tear your throat open."
The male shrugged his muscular shoulders and turned his body to show you his back. "That's if you ever get the chance. When I leave, you'll be alone in such a defenseless state." He responded.
"I can handle this myself."
Killer scoffed quietly and turned back to face you. "It wouldn't take much for someone else to find you like this. They'll probably recognize you, kill you maybe, or take advantage of you."
He suddenly leaned down from his height of 6'5 (195 cm) and brought his masked face close to yours. "Do you think these pirates would miss the opportunity to defile and humiliate a female marine? Especially a well-known one of your rank."
"You're notorious, (Y/n)." His low voice saying your name made your p*ssy throb and walls clench. "But if you want me to go, then I'll oblige. I'll wait for another day to kill you; well, that is if someone else doesn't do it for me first."
He pulled away from you and stood to his full height. You glared at his stupid blue and white mask, wanting to smash his f*cking face in.
Swiftly he turned around and began making his way down the alley. The roar of the pirates from the streets grew louder, and because of Killers' words, the panic was beginning to settle in.
You knew he was right; you were in no position to defend yourself. Already had you used the remaining strength on Delano and Toja.
Your hotel was at least a mile or two away from where you were. The masked man was right; you'd never make it back safely.
"W-Wait!" You stuttered and cringed at what you were going to do. You hated needing anything from others, and you especially hated asking for it.
The male halted in his movements and turned his head slightly to face you.
You took a deep breath, scrunching your face up before letting it relax. "I need...Hmph, I need your assistance."
It was absolutely embarrassing, humiliating even to ask the arrogant pirate - who you had been feuding with for years - for help to get back safely.
The blond turned his full body to face you. "I think you can do better than that, (Y/n). The word I'm looking for is 'help'."
"F*cking a**hole!" You cursed under your breath and launched your jacket at him. He caught it swiftly with his left hand but still awaited your 'appropriate' plea for help.
Your lips trembled as you attempted to speak. With all your heart, you loathed asking for help; you despised even saying the word.
Nothing good had ever come from you asking for help, in fact, it was twisted on you, and he used your plea for help as a way to take advantage of you.
Memories from that sullen place never left you. Memories of your desperate pleas for salvation only for it to be your doom.
You were damn sure Killer didn't understand the severity of the word, but he really was using the opportunity to get a one-up on you.
The feelings of your eyes burning from attempting to keep your tears of frustration in brought you back from your thoughts.
Killer just stood still, waiting for you to ask, but you struggled greatly; he could tell. He suddenly pivoted on the balls of his feet and began to walk away.
"K-Killer!" He paused for a moment before continuing out towards the end of the alley to the other side of the street.
"Please..." It was as if the words burnt your tongue and smacked you in the face. "Please help me get back to the hotel."
The male swiftly shifted, stepping closer to you before suddenly gripping your waist and heaving you over onto his right shoulder.
"K-Killer!" You screeched from surprise and had to adjust the wig from falling.
"What? It's the quickest way. Now, which hotel are you staying at?" He asked, his grip on your waist securing you firmly over his collar.
His touch was distracting; the warmth of his fingers made the skin feel as it was being ignited aflame.
"(Y/n). I asked you a question."
You blinked your thick lashes and swallowed the saliva in your mouth. It was a bit embarrassing only because almost everyone knew of your childish interest.
"It's over by the main jewelry stores, Emerald Cove Hotel." You replied, and you felt his shoulders tremble.
He most likely was going to laugh, but he physically had to stop himself. You knew he hated his laugh, especially after the defected SMILE incident.
"Figured as much."
The masked blond began making his way through the less crowded streets to get to your hotel. He was quiet as usual and didn't say anything more after his little comment.
You didn't say anything either; however, that didn't mean your mind wasn't racing with extreme thoughts. His touch was driving you mad, and the heat of his body made goosebumps rise all over your skin.
With every step he took, you could feel your body bounce against his own, and it felt like electricity shooting through your nerves. You had to squeeze your thighs together, and you hoped he wouldn't notice even though your a** was basically right next to his head.
After what felt like forever, the two of you finally arrived at the luxurious lodging. The male didn't even put you down as he entered.
"Which one's your room?" He sought.
"The suite on the top floor." You replied after a moment of gathering your thoughts.
Strutting over to the lift, he entered it and clicked the highest button on the panel. You couldn't help but shift and groan quietly as the drug coursed through your veins.
"We're almost there, just a little longer." He stated, and you only responded with another groan. A minute or two went by until the lift door opened, and a short hallway with a set of double doors at the end came to view.
As he stepped forward to the doors, you spoke up. "The key card is in the pocket on the right side of my leggings." You didn't have the strength to maneuver your arm back and grab it.
But maybe you should have because as soon as his large hand had dipped into your pocket and slid against the thin fabric to grab the card, your hips bucked, and you unconsciously shifted closer to his face.
You could basically feel the heat growing in your lower region, oh so desperate for anything to assist the sensitivity.
Killer unlocked the door to your room and turned on the lights before entering inside, gazing around to take in the appearance. Exactly what he thought your room to be.
Clean, most definitely, but extravagant as well to match your interest in sparkling gems and jewels. He set you down roughly on the couch, causing you to groan and rub the back of your head from hitting the armrest.
"I outta kill you!"
"You outta give me a thank you."
His words caused you to purse your lips and turn your head to avoid his gaze. "Whatever." You whispered under your breath while sitting up.
Your body smelt of sweat and the aroma of food from the festival. You needed a shower, and maybe a cold shower could help surpass this drug or at least cool you down.
Weakly you stood up to your feet and pressed yourself against the wall. "I'm going to shower, so you can leave now." You mumbled as you entered the pristine marble bathroom.
The blonde-haired pirate didn't say anything, simply watching you close the door, and a few moments later, he heard the water running.
He turned to leave, and right as he reached the door handle, he heard a cry from the shower. Without thinking, he ran to the bathroom door.
"(Y/n)?"
The faintest sound of your breathing could be heard; however, it sounded more of what he assumed was heavy panting.
"I'm...I'm fine." You called out hoarsely before clearing your throat. "Can you wait here? You know...till I'm done, just in case anything happens."
The masked man didn't say anything, staring at the white door for a few seconds until he sighed. "Fine." He grumbled and stepped away until he reached the couch.
He set himself down and crossed his leg in a figure four, his arms supporting his body on the bridge of the sofa. Leaning his head back, he closed his eyes and thought to himself.
What was he even doing here? Not to begin with, he was here helping the female marine that always seemed to get in his and Kid's way, and he was helping her.
The whole situation was a mess, and he should just do what would be most beneficial to him and the Kid Pirates.
He should just kill you now.
Taking you out when you were weak would be perfect when you couldn't fight back. But then again, he didn't like that either. If you couldn't fight back, then what was the point?
If he couldn't cross weapons with you and feel the strength against his blade, then it would be a waste.
The Massacre Soldier was so much in his thoughts that he didn't hear the shower shut off or the bathroom door opening.
When you exited the washroom, you saw the male sitting on your couch, staring at the ceiling. Swallowing the saliva in your mouth, you crept over to the light switch and shut it off.
Immediately the room was enveloped in darkness, and it startled the masked man. He jolted in his spot and was about to get up, but your words stopped him.
"Don't move...please."
His instinct was telling him otherwise, that this was a trick or an attack. He should've just killed you already. And to hear you say 'please'- a word you hated to use just as much as 'help'-made him hesitate.
He swallowed thickly and stayed in his spot, but he kept his hands scrunched around his gauntlets by his side. He heard your footsteps approach him slowly, and his heart drummed noisily in his ears.
The anticipation was killing him, and he disliked this, how he was at a disadvantage in the darkness. There was little light, but it came from the window behind him.
Your body came into the line of his sight, causing his gaze to fling to your frame. You met his gaze and stopped walking right in front of his spot on the couch.
With the small amount of light from the window, he could see the wig was off, and your real hair was down, still dripping water.
The only thing protecting your body from him was the thin white towel wrapped around your body. But to his surprise, you let go of the cloth and allowed it to fall to the ground.
Immediately the blond sucked in a breath at the sight. It was something he had never seen before in all the years he had known you.
Your body was bare, nothing shielding his blue orbs from seeing your most private parts. Water droplets dripped down your body, and he couldn't help but follow the trails that led down your stomach.
"What are you-"
"One night."
You had quickly interjected his words and looked deeply at his blue and white mask. Your face was flushed with color, and a frustrated but smokey expression rested on your face.
"I can't deal with this; it's not going away..." You stepped closer to his frame to set his leg down and straddle his lap, your wet limbs on either side of his.
Killer could immediately feel the wetness from your c*nt on his crotch, and it took everything in him not to grab your throat right then and there and just kill you.
You were tempting him like the devil and could possibly only be acting. You could be using this chance to make him vulnerable and finally kill him.
"Please, I'm desperate." You begged and brought your hands down to his own. You fingered the attachments and unlocked his hands from the grey gauntlets.
"I thought I could just do it myself, but it's just getting worse..." Your voice cracked at the end to signify your clear, very emotional standing. "I-I can't go to anyone else."
You gripped his hands and steered them to your waist. As soon as his rough, calloused hands brushed against your skin, you sucked in a breath and shuddered against his body.
He immediately felt that response and willed his own body to not react. His self-control was great, but he was human after all, and everyone falls to their desires at least once in their life.
"So just this once, I beg you to forget your hatred and...please help me."
You brought your face close to his mask in the darkness, and you could hear him breathing laboriously.
"Just this one time?" He asked in a soft voice you've never heard before. It made butterflies erupt in your tummy and dance around.
Instead of replying, you grasped the sides of his mask and removed it gently from his head. You knew the male hated to have others see his face, always sporting the iconic blue and white mask.
But if you were in the darkness where you struggled to see, hopefully, he'll allow you to take it off.
And thankfully, you were right.
His grip on your waist tightened as he now sat maskless in front of someone for the first time since childhood. Even though you couldn't see, he still grew a bit tense and even itched to wear it again.
However, those thoughts slowly began to dissipate when he felt your hot breath against his lips, so close to touching.
"Just for one night." You whispered as softly as he did. "I need you."
Not a moment later did, the blond place his lips against yours and pull your body closer to his chest. Your lips moved in sync sloppily, a desperate action that could only be described as yearning.
One of his arms wrapped around your back and gripped your shoulder. The other reached down and grasped your a** that he had only ever seen in the white pants of your marine uniform.
But now he was touching it, caressing the warm flesh and squeezing it. The action made you gasp against his mouth, allowing for him to enter his own tongue and taste you.
He could taste the takoyaki you ate but also the sweet sugar candy from the multiple stalls in the streets.
His grip tightened as he pushed you harder against his chest. He could feel your hard n*pples through his thin shirt, poking against his skin and begging for attention.
Your hips began to grind against his growing erection, dampening the cloth of his jeans with your liquids of arousal.
The tent in his pants was pushing against your cl*t, which sent sparks running up your abdomen. You couldn't help the breathy moans from escaping your lips.
Everything felt extra sensitive; the littlest of movement sent jolts of pleasure through your veins. You dragged your nails down his chest, pressing into his flesh through the shirt and shuddering against him.
Killer removed his arms from your body and back slightly so he could remove the purple top from his torso.
Immediately your hands found their way to his muscular chest again, trailing against his visible muscles and a few prominent veins.
The blond pirate always had such a beautiful physique, and even the long scar across his left arm and shoulder was attractive.
His hands found their way to your breast, grasping them in his large hands and squeezing.
"Hng~!"
You covered your mouth with the back of your hand while your spine arched slightly. The hardened buds were pressing against his warm palms, hardening your n*pples even more.
Slowly he dropped his hands to your hips and helped you grind against his erection. You closed your eyes, panting as he rolled you harder against him.
One of his hands found its way to the side of your neck, almost in the back, and pressed down. You groaned from the pain and dug your nails into his bare shoulders.
"This is from one of those guys?" He asked knowingly.
You nodded your head slackly. "Yeah."
He pursed his lips before returning his hand to your hip. "I don't like seeing it."
You grinned and rolled your hips against his crotch. "Then do something about it~."
Killer did not have to be told twice as he placed his face in the crook of your neck and licked your soft clean surface.
His lips kissed your skin tenderly, his thumbs caressing your sides as he pressed his hips upwards against your c*nt.
Soft mewls escaped your mouth while you closed your eyes and ran a hand through his soft long blond hair.
The sensation of him sucking felt like a tingling pressure that stung so much it felt good. He covered your throat and shoulders in dark love bites, ranging from pinks to reds, and to purples.
The stinging pain hurt just as much as it felt immeasurable. His name left your lips breathlessly again, seeming as fuel to the male.
That mark left by the boy from the festival was quickly covered by the ones of Killer's. But he wasn't done there; his tender, intimate sucking and kissing steadily shifted to the valley of your breast.
Those large hands of his left your hips only to grasp your breast once again. He gripped them firmly, pressing his fingers into the soft flesh.
These were the breast that pushed up against your shirt and stretched from each fluid movement and strike you made against him when you fought.
For years he had never seen your body in such an exposed and intimate manner. He hated this, but he loved it.
He hated you but damn, was he always attracted to you. From your fighting ability to your unwavering resolve and strong willpower.
You were just his type, but unfortunately, you were a marine, a high-ranking marine known as the Pirate Killer.
The same could be said about you. The attraction was always there, finding his loyalty to his captain endearing and his level-headedness charming.
His deep heavy voice was appealing, and not to mention his physique was arousing. You were an adult, and you couldn't help if you were attracted to someone, but that someone, unfortunately, had to be the man you also hated.
The man you always fought head to head, but no one was ever the winner between the two of you. No matter how many times, neither one of you had come out the victor.
It was such a fate the position you two were in. A Marine Officer and a Worst Generation Pirate who despised each other but also couldn't help but be alluded to one another.
Killer brought his face to your left breast, breathing his hot breath on your areola before taking it in his mouth.
You inhaled deeply, clenching your legs against Killer's thighs as his warm mouth entrapped your sensitive area.
"Oh my~. Don't stop." You hummed airily.
The blond swallowed the saliva in his mouth and sucked on it harshly. His teeth pressed into the buds gingerly as if testing your reaction.
Your hips bucked against him, your fingers grasping strands of his long locks and tugging on them.
His lascivious gaze flickered to meet yours, watching as you observed the way his mouth took in your n*pple and teased it fondly.
"Your breast is sensitive." He stated, his voice coarse and low. "Do you like it when I bite them too?"
You pouted slightly and refused to answer. His question felt like he was teasing, almost mocking you. You weren't normally this sensitive, but the drug was doing something to your body.
The pirate's teeth graze your n*pple again as he began to massage and mold your right breast in his hand.
Subconsciously you pressed your chest harder against his face and panted wearily. You could feel the smirk on his lips against your skin, and he tugged harshly on your hair.
"I didn't ask for you to tease me; I asked for you to f*ck me."
"We'll get there." He mussed, his goatee tickling your breast. "Right now, I'm enjoying these."
He bounced your breast in his hands before he squeezed tightly. His lips displayed a devious smirk when he witnessed how you responded to him.
Back arching and thighs quivering. If you were responding to him just like that, he couldn't wait till he was deep inside your body, f*cking the sh*t out of you.
He leaned down, placing his face in between your breast while his hold on your bust grew tighter. He sucked on your body again, bruising the skin as he pressed your mounds against his face.
Your flesh was hot, almost burning against his skin. They were so soft yet firm against his tan cheeks. Your body smelled so good that he never wanted to forget the scent.
The room was beginning to feel humid, and your two bodies were already sweating. It was beginning to smell like s*x already from your wet c*nt and his pre-c*m that soaked through his undergarment and jeans.
The foreplay was great and all, but he felt like it was time to go farther. More importantly, he wanted to taste the juices that were being secreted because of his touch.
One of his hands inched down to your crotch before slithering his fingers between your slits. He could feel the hot, slick liquid and aimlessly ran his fingers along your c*nt before rubbing your little cl*t.
His mouth entrapped your other n*pple, sucking on it intensely and looking up to you through the darkness.
"I'm going to eat you out and have you begging me for more."
You didn't respond. Instead, you grasped his face and brought it back up so you could kiss him. He stood up swiftly and held your legs around his waist.
He carefully maneuvered himself to the bedroom as you sucked on the flesh of his muscular shoulders and throat.
Killer plopped your body down on the mattress, sliding himself down and grasping the back of your knees.
He wasted no time opening your legs to reveal your sopping wet c*nt that was begging for him.
With the little light from the window in the bedroom, he observed how the slick covered your lower lips and even the inner part of your thighs.
"Stop..." You were panting already. "...F*cking staring at it you oaf."
"Why shouldn't I?" He responded back and dropped to his knees in front of the bed, his hot breath fanning your lower region. "I said I was going to eat you out, didn't I?"
A soft whimper left your lips, hoping for more of his touch. But your hopes were pushed away when he let one of your legs go, his fingers teasingly stroked around your c*nt and refusing to touch any of the more sensitive areas but still giving you a taste of what you could be having.
The tips of his calloused fingers just slightly grazed your cl*t before returning back to the skin around your slits.
Again his fingers trailed along the outside of your folds, not close enough to stimulate your cl*t but close enough to tease you with extreme frustration.
And incredibly frustrated is what you became. You had your brows furrowing with displeasure and your eyes glaring in anger. You huffed audibly, taking a deep breath, and releasing it loudly with a bit of attitude.
"It wouldn't do you any good to act like a brat, either."
Before you had a chance to reply, you felt one of his thick fingers finally reach your folds, pressing right into your entrance. It quickly became coated in your liquids of arousal, and your walls clenched around the tips of his extremities.
More liquids started to secrete from the slight bit more stimulation. If possible, Killer's grin grew ear to ear. His wet fingers now circled your folds almost fondly but still teasingly, smearing the sticky liquids across your lower region.
Instead of a whimper or a huff, you cried out loudly. An audible wail escaped your lips and reverberated within your bedroom.
Your breathing started to become labored, chest rose and fell rapidly at an erratic pace. His fingers continued to press against your entrance slightly before pulling back and playing around with your slits.
The frustration you felt only grew as the male continued to tease you, giving you some sort of stimulation but not enough to please you.
"You're pissing me off." You hissed.
His head slowly shook from side to side as he forced himself not to laugh. While being focused on his frame, you suddenly let out a choked gasp when two of his fingers were pushed into your body and pressed upwards against your bladder.
Your eyes widened, your grasp on the bedsheets beneath you tightening as you fought to close your legs unconsciously.
The one leg he was not holding was pressed against his head, while the other was no match for his tight grip on the back of your knee.
His fingers had stayed still for a moment as he observed the beautiful expression of lust and desperation on your face. Swallowing thickly, you tried to wiggle your hips in an attempt to get more stimulation.
Your action caused Killer to shake his head in a disapproving manner. He clicked his tongue and suddenly pressed his thumb right up against your cl*t.
This drew a shaky breath from your chest as you squirmed with aggravation. His finger pressing against those bundles of nerves was sending little jolts all up to your body and especially through the muscles of your abdomen.
Sweat began to drip off the back of your neck, dampening your hair and slicking your skin. You wanted to almost beg and plead for him to stop this blasphemous teasing and just give you what you want.
But both of you were too stubborn. You didn't like to admit defeat, especially against him, and tell him that you so desperately needed more of him.
The pirate already loved to ridicule and tantalize you more than anything else. Your fights were both physical and verbal. Sometimes he hit the mark on certain things and could have your cold front collapse in front of him.
Killer gradually leaned forward, his mouth entrapping your cl*t as two of his fingers went back to probing your entrance.
"A-Ah~." You hummed, your walls clenching down on emptiness. Your hands flew to his hair, entangling within his long blond locks and snarling it.
He let the flat pad of his tongue lick at your throbbing cl*t; his fingers felt more of your natural lubrication seeping out of your entrance.
You couldn't help but suck in your abdomen and tug harshly on his hair. "S-Sh*t." The word came out breathlessly.
The pirate entrapped your cl*t with his mouth and began to suck harshly. He hollowed his cheeks while swirling his tongue around your sensitive area.
The pressure on those bundles of nerves had mewls leaving your lips and echoing all over the hotel bedroom.
Killer observed your ecstasy-filled expression, watching with extreme interest as your cheeks flared with color and your eyes became glazed.
He could see your stomach rising and falling with every quick sharp breath you made. Suddenly he hummed, letting the vibrations stimulate the sensorial nerves.
It felt like a tingling sensation that was becoming almost too overwhelming. You tugged on his hair and swallowed whatever saliva was in your mouth strenuously.
You were becoming lost in his sweet touch, your mind simply only focusing on his tongue. It was your body moving on its own, grinding harder against his mouth for more, that caught Killer's attention.
He gave your little cl*t a single last lick before his tongue dragged downwards across the rest of your c*nt. The action caused you to shudder and contract your stomach.
His warm tongue maneuvering around his fingers made you flinch from the sensitive sensation. While you were distracted from your tongue, those two fingers that were at your entrance finally pushed in again.
A choked gasp echoed in the room as you squeezed your thigh against his head. His fingers maintained their still position inside you, but that didn't stop your body from clenching down on his extremities.
His lips formed into a coy smile, and you could feel it against your throbbing c*nt. To have the great Pirate Killer writhing beneath him because his actions almost him feel boastful.
Every once in a while, his nose would brush up against your cl*t, causing you to jolt in your spot. Your juices were all over your thighs and dripped down your bottom.
The mess couldn't have been any hotter for the pirate. He pulled his tongue out only for a moment so he could kiss the slick, swallowing it with throaty gulps before returning back to your cl*t.
His plump lips left longing smooches that applied pressure and had your back arching.
Killer had you a f*cking mess. Sweaty, your skin coated in the salty liquid. Aroused, your p*ssy wetter than ever. Desperate, your nails digging into his muscular shoulders and threatening to break the skin.
Once again, his mouth was entrapping your bundle of nerves, howling his cheeks as he sucked again. The pressure had your lower body clench and your hips buck against his face.
Killer's long nimble fingers began to move, pulling out and causing you to clench down even more on his extremities. You didn't want to permit any of him to go at all, even if it was just his fingers.
And because of this, you were extra sensitive to whatever he was doing. Even if it was just him pushing the two digits back inside of you.
A shaky breathless moan left your lips that was soon followed by his name. You were the one extra sensitive and aroused because of the drug, but it was as if it was affecting the blond in some way as well.
He was feeling almost affected, extra excited, and more animated than ever. Blood was rushing all throughout his body, and he almost felt like he was swelling.
His own felt light, and his mind was so hazy. Never before had he ever been so in love with such a sight. It made his heartbeat quicken and warmth surge through his chest.
Killer's fingers gradually worked to thrust at a consistent pace. It was slow at first, allowing for him to feel your clenching velvety walls and witness the way you ground your hips for more stimulation.
He pulled back to swallow the slick that accumulated in his mouth before hollowing his cheeks again and swirling his tongue around your sensitive area. The pressure on those bundles of nerves had mewls leaving your lips and echoing all within the hotel room.
The pirate's misty blue orbs flickered up to look at your face as he moved his free hand to rub soothing circles on your hips.
His touch on your skin was just as desirable as his touch on lower regions. You wanted everything from him. It felt like you were a little spoiled girl who could never have enough.
You wanted it all. You wanted all of him.
The male observed your concupiscence-filled expression, watching with extreme interest as your cheeks flared with color and your eyes became glossy.
"You look so beautiful like that."
Grinding your hips against his face, you shuddered from his words and gazed down at the beautiful male who was relinquishing his thirst with your juices.
His piercing optics was looking at you too, meeting your gaze and locking it. He also wanted you to watch the dirty, sensual action that he was performing on your body.
A little while later, his plump lips pressed against it once again before he turned his head to the side and began to litter your right thigh with kisses as well.
Killer began to suck on your soft supple skin, leaving behind red/purple bruises that stung with pain but tingled with pleasure.
All while, at the same time, he let the pace of his fingers increase and pressed harder against your sensitive areas.
There was this feeling in your lower abdomen; it was pulsating and slowly started to grow stronger, alerting you of your nearing climax. A beautiful release that would fill you with ecstasy and satisfy the burning desire that was ignited beneath your fingertips.
The blond could tell as well by the way you bucked your hips and moaned his name. You were squeezing so tight around his fingers he knew that your aroused body was approaching an org*sm.
One of your hands that were digging its nails into his muscular shoulder trailed down his just as muscular biceps and squeezed.
His hand that had been holding your hips moved your right thigh where he was littering them with love bites, began to intimately trail the tips of his fingers against your sensitive skin.
Your thighs clamped tighter against his head as you squeezed your lower body around him. It was too overwhelming how good Killer was doing.
There was an itch in your throat from the dryness of having constant moans leaving your lips. You were feeling exhausted and drained already, but your body still burned with desire.
Your spine had a small divet in it, slightly arched and off the slab table. Killer breathed a deep breath to inhale the scent of your arousal and lowered himself back on your sensitive nerves.
He hummed, grazing your cl*t slightly with his teeth before resuming to sucking it. He knew you were close, so close.
You were trembling and grinding hard against his face. Your grip was tight on his shoulders, and you were desperately begging for more.
"You taste so f*cking good."
Your hips bucked against his face, your nails breaking past the skin and drawing blood. Killer couldn't help but grin at your reaction.
Such a beautiful woman you were, a complete mess and covered in sweat. Your body was hot, tight around him and the sound of that desperate voice of yours calling his name made him almost lose it.
The feelings you were experiencing were indescribable. All you knew was that everything just felt so good but so overstimulated. You knew you were getting to the end, right at the edge of the cliff, where you'd fall into a pool of blinding pleasure.
And before you knew it, your org*sm hit and flushed all through your body. Surging through your bloodstream and pounding your head with bliss.
"Ah, K-Killer~!" His name spewed out of your mouth melodically, reverberating against your chest and the room.
Your stomach contracted, and the abdominal muscles were tight from how much you sucked in your gut. You clenched as tightly as you could, squeezing his fingers so tightly you thought you might break them.
The hand that was holding his shoulder dropped to his abbs, where you dug your nails into the firm muscles.
Harshly your thighs clasped even more firmly against his head, and you squeezed almost as if you wanted to break his head off.
With your spine arching from your climax, you lay your head back against the bed with your swollen lips parted. The sight itself was astounding for the pirate.
Pure pleasure displayed on your face with your body trembling against him was an image he wished to forever capture in his head.
The pure ecstasy that displayed on your face was something the male just wished he could eat up. He has made you tremble in pain before but to have you quivering, completely vulnerable because of him in a much more intimate manner made his heart skip a beat.
Killer used his thumbs to spread open your slits so he could easily lap up the liquids of your climax. He savored the sweet taste and sticky texture against his tongue.
You were shaking against him, twitching from your oversensitivity. Your eyes felt so heavy, and your body was already exhausted, but you knew this wasn't over.
Not only was the drug still prominent in your system, but you knew this wouldn't be over with just you having an org*sm.
Killer still had to get his d*ck wet and plunge himself inside you. What man could resist the opportunity to do such a thing, especially when it was the woman he was incredibly attracted to?
Steadily the pirate pulled away from your thighs and stood to his full 6'5 (195 cm) height. His large hands unbuttoned his jeans.
He pulled them down along with his undergarment, which freed his member. It sprung up youthfully and tapped against his naval lightly.
Your mouth parted at the sight, and you have to say you were a bit surprised. The energy Killer gave off was arrogance, but his ego was never easily attacked.
He didn't react harshly against insults and rather 'laughed' them off. You always found it a bit strange, but now you know the reason.
Underneath the protection of clothes, he hid something that had your jaw dropped. Killer always had that big d*ck energy for the right reason.
"That look in your eyes." He mused and hummed gutturally. "Can't say that I hate it."
"Shut up, oaf" You hissed.
Instead of reacting to your words, the male suddenly gripped your hips and dragged you closer to the edge of the bed.
His grip rose to your ankles, where he swiftly parted your legs again. His action made you swallow thickly and look up at it his face.
Again, it was incredibly dark, with very little light sweeping in from the window. You could see the lines of his sharp jaw and the smirk on those plump lips of his.
"And you were the one begging me to f*ck you."
You turned your head away In embarrassment and crossed your arms under your chest, your lips forming into a pout.
"Don't say it like that." You whined.
"Why? Because it makes you seem weak?" He teased.
Before you had a chance to reply, one of his hands left your ankles to grasp his c*ck and place it at your entrance.
You could feel the hard tip prodding your hole, and swallowed the saliva that was in your mouth. He rubbed it up and down on your cl*t, smearing your slick along your c*nt.
He continued to do this and refused to enter fully. His action was causing you to tremble and suck in heavy breaths.
"Y-You can't keep doing that..." You stuttered quietly, but the male still heard.
Killer pressed the tip against your entrance, pushing in and allowing for the thick head to enter. However, just as quickly as he was inside, he pulled out and smacked the tip against your cl*t.
Your hips bucked forward, and you whimpered aloud. What a b*stard he was, teasing you when you already had enough trouble as it was controlling your body.
"Stop!"
"I will when you admit you need me again."
Your brows furrowed as you bared your teeth at him. Even if he was helping you with your situation, that didn't mean the rivalry between the two of you suddenly stopped.
He still resented you, and you still despised him.
"I should f*cking kill you now!" You attempted to make your words appear threatening, but they were more breathless than anything.
This caused Killer to smirk and slowly enter the tip in but stop once the head was immersed.
"I'd like to see you try."
You weren't able to reply, only clenching your teeth and feeling as just the tip was stretching your walls.
"Just say it again. One more time, one last time."
Quite pants left your lips as you attempted to wiggle your hips and enter more of himself in you but he grasped the top of your thighs and halted you from any further movement.
You were stuck in a stand hold, and the only way to get out was to do as he said. You had to beg.
"I need you, please."
"Again."
You took a deep breath and grabbed one of his hands to bring it to your mouth. Your lips lightly traced against his calloused fingers before sucking on his index.
And to his surprise, you pulled back only to press his index and ring finger into your mouth. You shoved it back until he reached your throat, where you gagged.
Pulling it back, you both looked at his saliva-colored fingers before making eye contact.
"I need you so bad, Killer."
The pirate swiftly gripped the back of your knees and pressed them into the mattress. Slowly he entered more of himself, pushing inside of your body and becoming swallowed by your tight wet walls.
Your back arched as a loud quivering moan left your lips. His girth was wide, stretching your walls more than they ever had.
Not to mention his length could reach farther than anybody ever had. He wasn't even fully in, but he was already so deep.
Drool dribbled down the corner of your lips as your mind became blank. Immediately you had succumbed to his c*ck.
A dumb lustful expression covered your face, and the male could see the absolutely lewd gaze in your smokey eyes.
His c*ck couldn't help but twitch at the sight. Such a beautiful, strong woman you were, now limp on his d*ck.
A blessing and a curse.
He let your body adjust after a moment so he could relish in the feeling of your warm, velvety walls forming to fit his member.
His fingers dug into your warm flesh and pressed you harder into the mattress. You could feel the strain in your pelvis, but you were in no way going to stop.
After a moment, he rolled his hips outwards before rocking it forward. He plunged himself back in and reached deep into your body.
"N-Ngh~!"
Your head was thrown back as you jolted in your spot. Your hips bucked upwards as you flung your nails to press into his muscular shoulders.
His hips jerked as he quickly gained momentum and rolled his hips continuously. Killer's strength was far beyond human, the both of you knew that.
So when he began his movements of thrusting into you, he was using every muscle of his body to penetrate you deeply and ripple pleasure through your veins.
"Killer~."
His name was moaned breathlessly in such a needy, desperate manner that he had to swallow the saliva in his mouth to control himself.
He had to be careful; he knew you were strong, but you were extremely powerless against him at the moment.
Killer had all the control, he was the one leading the motion, and you could only take it all in.
The male was being clenched down by your inner walls, sucking him in even deeper. The head of his c*ck is just briefly brushing against your cervix.
Your walls that were clenching down on his member fitted tighter around him, allowing you to feel every thick vein that protruded against the skin of his c*ck.
You molded so tightly around him as if your body was trying to keep him inside as much as possible. As if you never wanted to let him go and keep him all to yourself.
The pace of his gloriously rocking hips grew. Every time he rocked his hips forward, he pressed the head of his c*ck against the entrance to your womb.
Killer found that every time he did that, you writhed and cried out loudly. Clawing at his shoulders and telling - no - begging for him not to stop.
The force he used to rock his hips made your body bounce on the mattress; it didn't help that his feet were planted firmly on the ground, which allowed him more stability.
One of his hands had let go of your legs to trail down your stomach. He could see through the dim light of the multiple marks and scars on your skin.
All over, they ranged from shallow to deep, from jagged to clean. He knew a few of them came from him, the perfectly clean sliced ones.
But he had never seen the others before, and there were so many that there was barely any skin that had yet to be marked.
Gingerly he trailed his fingers across the scars, wondering how you came about to have these. What had you done to get to where you are now?
Who did you have to kill to be covered like this? And was it worth it? He didn't know, and although he was curious, his attention had turned back to the throbbing bundle of nerves in your lower region.
His calloused fingertips tenderly brushed against your little cl*t, ensuring an immediate reaction from your body.
"A-Ah~!"
Your hips bucked as you dug your nails into the wounds you had created before. He bled once again; small strings trailed down and smeared against his skin from your palms.
The male had no negative reaction to the wounds; instead, his lips curved upwards into a smug grin, his fingers stroking your sensitive cl*t as he thrust his c*ck within your walls.
He made sure to align his pace with his fingers; every time he had pulled out, he flicked your sensitive bud with his fingers, and every time he was in you, he stroked it accordingly.
This brought about waves of pleasure that caused your already trembling form to be quivering like a startled animal.
That memorable sensation in your lower abdomen returned. A tight pulsating feeling that could only mean one thing.
Your org*sm was arising, your abdomen clenching while you sucked in your stomach. The male could feel the heat wafting off from your body, his grip becoming slightly loose for a second before he fixed it and tightened his hold.
Killer grunted and increased the speed of his thrust. His crotch hit your own as his c*ck began to pound at the entrance to your womb.
Your whole body was trembling as your climax grew closer and closer. Your climax was there at the edge. You could feel it once again, waiting to be released.
And you could tell Killer was close as well, holding off until you had reached your peak first.
His rolling hips increased, slightly sloppy, as he focused more on reaching deep and hitting your sensitive areas.
Suddenly the blond's hand that was holding down one of your legs flew over to your throat, where he was quick to grasp it in his hold.
His palm pressed against your larynx and applied pressure that had wheezes leaving your lips. The low amount of oxygen that made its way to your brain had your mind hazy.
Killer felt an immediate reaction from your lower region. Your body that was already as tight as can be held even tighter onto him than before, causing another low grunt to leave his lips.
He squeezed his hand around your throat, forcing your chin up to the ceiling as he continued his thrust along with his fingers on your cl*t.
The asphyxiation seemed to be exactly what you needed to reach or org*sm. With the overwhelming amount of stimulation flooding through your body, the tight, tingling sensation in your lower abdomen basically released.
"F*ck~." You cursed under your breath, your words slurred and barely audible from his choking.
Your (e/c) eyes rolled slightly in the back of your head as you clamped your thighs tightly around Killer's muscular hips.
You removed your nails from his bloody shoulders to wrap around his neck and pull him down closer to your frame.
You had forced your hips slightly upwards while you sucked in your stomach. Every muscle in your body contracted with your body tensing up.
Your back arched upwards, the divet in your spine fairly visible. Thanks to the blond pirate, you had climaxed a second time, your walls unbearably tight and warm as you came.
The liquids of your org*sm milked his c*ck, the presence of it being seen on his member every time he had pulled out.
You reached the very peak of your ecstasy as it burst and spread all throughout your body. Pleasure rushed throughout your veins as adrenaline would. With eyes rolling back in your head, drool dribbled down the corner of your lips.
You saw white with your hearing suddenly zoning in and out; the only thing you could hear was the man's muffled grunts and groans in your ears.
He was hitting the deepest areas of your body while the heat of his skin wafted off onto yours. His large hands held you so close and tight against his.
The creamy white liquid of your org*sm pooled around the base of his c*ck and spread across your folds that were already sopping wet.
Even though you had reached your limit, Killer had yet, but he was so close. He wanted you to c*m first so he could see you so weak and lewd beneath him.
As the pirate continued to thrust sloppily, the liquids of your arousal and climax smeared all over his crotch and dripped down your cheeks.
Because you just had your climax not even a moment later, everything was extra sensitive. You quivered underneath, unable to hold back the deafening cries of pleasure.
Killer could feel you trembling underneath him and knew that it was the perfect time to let himself go.
And not even a moment later did the male suddenly feel that unbearably tight tingling sensation in his abdomen, signifying he had reached the peak of his org*sm.
Ecstacy flowed through his veins as his member twitched within your walls. His pace slowed as he came, his c*ck spurting out thick hot jets of c*m that pooled within your womb.
He painted your insides white as his hands flew to wrap around your body and hold you close to him.
The sensation of his release spilling to you felt ever so warm, like a heating pad atop your abdomen where your womb was.
Killer stayed still for a moment, catching his breath and allowing for himself to relax. His hands slowly released your body, and he swiftly pulled you into his arms.
"What are you-"
"I'm sure you would like a shower." He mumbled and made his way to the bathroom in the darkness. He set you down gently on the seat in the glass shower and turned to leave, but you grabbed his wrist.
"Wait."
You swallowed the saliva in your mouth and turned your head away. "Won't you join me? I mean, you're sweaty too."
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
After everything that had taken place earlier, the two of you retired to the bed, where you all lay under the blanket.
Your back was facing the male as you attempted to sleep, but his fingers that were trailing against the scars on your back were distracting.
"Can you not do that!?" You snapped.
"I'm just curious." He replied but didn't stop. "I never knew about these. I didn't think you'd have so many from your battles."
You were silent for a moment before shaking your head. "Battles they are from not. It was much more humiliating, all starting from when I was young. If I never would have found my weapons, I would have never been in this position."
The blond hummed and removed his fingers from your scarred flesh. He leaned on his left elbow and supported his head as he looked at you.
"Well, do tell. We have all night, after all. How did it all happen? How did you get to the position you are in now?"
Your arms slithered under the pillow and gripped it close to your face. You felt so tired and sluggish, but you couldn't fall asleep yet.
Closing your (e/c) orbs slowly, you breathed in deeply before responding to his question.
"When I was a child, maybe around six, my mom was mad at me, so she locked me out of the house that night. She usually did that when my father would make her mad, considering she blamed me for their unhappy marriage. I decided to just take a walk and come back later when she had cooled down."
Your legs pulled upwards to your stomach as if you were trying to curl into a ball.
"I was walking along the shore when the current swept me in. I thought I was going to drown, especially when I hit my head against the inside of a cavern. But I floated upwards and crawled my way out to find myself in a crystal-covered cave. Everything was covered in diamonds, opals, and emeralds."
"Sounds like your kind of place." Killer mused and scratched his blond goatee.
You hummed in reply while nodding your head nonchalantly.
"I remember looking around, amazed by everything, before I felt as if something was pulling me. I looked all around and found these two black cylinders sticking out of a giant crystal. I don't know what it was, but it felt as if it were telling me to grab them, and as a child, I just did whatever. I pulled them out and felt this pounding headache forming. It hurt so much that I dropped the crystals, and they flared open like a fan. A heavy raspy voice whispered its name in my head. Saisei Kurisutarufan, the regenerative crystal fans."
Killer could hear a soft hum and saw a soft glow from your black jacket. The fans must have reacted to hearing their name.
"I had lost consciousness after that, and when I woke up, I was home in my room. My mother came in soon after and yelled at me. A fisherman had found me asleep on the shore and recognized me as their daughter. She was embarrassed because it made her look like a bad parent. And then everything went downhill from there. I cried, my eyes burning with tears, and when they fell from my eyes, they turned into tear-shaped blue diamonds."
Your grip tightened on the pillow.
"My mother couldn't believe it, and she called my father in. They wanted to know how this happened so I told them everything about the cave and the fans. The two tried to look for the cave but it was as if it had completely disappeared. My father tried to grab my fans and sell them but when he touched them, the fingers on his left hand turned to stone. I was the only one able to touch them because they had chosen me...I really wish they didn't."
You blew air out of your nose and rubbed your eyes tiredly.
"Because they couldn't find the cave of jewels or sell my fans, they used what they had, my tears. I remember constantly, day after day my parents would do anything they could to make me weep. Berate me, scold me, hit me. Whatever could make me cry they did it. Eventually, a few years later I wasn't able to cry anymore. Their words had no effect on me anymore since I couldn't feel anything anymore. Suddenly one day...I met someone."
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
Your stomach ached, churning with hunger. It had been a few days since you had been fed as punishment for not crying.
Sluggishly you laid your head against the flat pillow and pulled the thin blanket over your frame. Since you couldn't eat, the only thing you could do was sleep and wait for one of your parents to arrive.
However, it didn't seem like you needed to wait any longer. The front door to the lighthouse was blown apart with a loud bang.
You covered your face as debris flew everywhere and knocked up dust everywhere.
"Is there where you felt it?"
The voice was of someone you didn't recognize. It was a deep voice that had to have belonged to a man.
"Yes, Captain Rin." Someone replied.
When the debris cleared out, footsteps were heard, and you watched a singular man in sailor-ish clothing entering your imprisonment.
A man so very tall stepped forward and kneeled in front of the bars that kept you enclosed. He was tan, his body large and muscular, with multiple scars on his visible skin.
His black hair was slicked back and reached the base of his neck; a few loose strands framed his face.
He wore a black coat over his shoulders, and a blue button-up covered his torso. His legs were covered in black pants, and shiny black boots protected his feet.
Golden guns were strapped to his waist and glinted in the little light there was. The captain looked at you through his piercing black orbs and tilted his head slightly.
"You're such a young child, all locked in a small place like this." He stated while observing your frame.
You didn't say anything, staring at him with a blank expression. It felt difficult to feel much emotion after what your parents had been doing since a young age.
"Doesn't it get lonely all by yourself?" He asked, but you didn't respond to him. You just continued to stare at him as if he were the most uninteresting thing you could have observed.
The captain opened his mouth, ready to speak again, but the loud rumbling of your stomach had gotten his attention.
"Hungry, aren't ya, kiddo?"
Your bottom lip quivered, and he saw that.
The man opened the satchel around his right thigh and pulled out a healthy-looking fruit. "Here." He called out and threw it through the space in between the cell bars.
Quickly you caught it, and you felt your mouth salivating at the smell of the fruit. You didn't want to accept something from a stranger however, you were so hungry.
Without wasting a moment, you devoured the seedless fruit leaving nothing remaining. It barely did anything to satisfy the great hunger that festered within your stomach.
It seemed as though the pirate could tell as well because he grinned and threw you another. You devoured the second one even faster and clutched your stomach tightly.
"I'm...I'm so hungry."
Rin nodded his head. "I bet you are. It doesn't look like anybody takes care of you here."
You licked your lips to savor the sweet taste. "My parents sometimes do." You asserted.
"Ah." He hummed. "A parent shouldn't only 'sometimes' take care of a child. Very irresponsible of them since they leave a starving abandoned child all to herself."
A grin formed on the captain's lips as he slowly stuck his hand through the bars.
"But I can take care of you. You can eat however much you want whenever you want. I can take you away from here, away from this island. Would you like to travel across the sea and visit other countries?"
His offer was tempting, a potential chance of salvation from this abuse. But would Rin be the better choice? You didn't know.
"You'll probably just lock me up too..."
The captain shook his head and waved his hand slightly. "I have a little power that lets me make unbreakable promises. And if that's what you don't want, then I can make sure that it never happens."
Your brows furrowed as you crossed your arms. "How do I know you're telling the truth."
The black-haired male shrugged his shoulders and grinned. "You won't know until you make one with me. All you have to do is say please and ask for help. You can even add in your little conditions too."
"That's it?"
"Of, course."
Slowly you crept forward and kneeled in front of the older man. You swallowed hard and grasped his large hand with two of yours.
"Please help me. I need your help to get out of here to actually live. I don't want to be locked up all the time anymore. I don't want to starve anymore. I don't want to die...I just want to live."
When you finished, the back of your hands began to glow a deep blue hue before disappearing and leaving behind a blue-tinted complex marking.
Swirls and coils covered the skin of your hands up to your wrist. They glowed as if alive and even hummed quietly.
"See, now we're under an oath." He stated before standing up to his feet. Without warning, he gripped the bars and bent them open as if they were taffy.
Rin stood tall and proud, grinning down at your smaller frame while sticking out his hand again. "Now you're free, so won't you join me?"
You didn't even hesitate as you grabbed his hand and he heaved you into his arms, holding you against his broad chest.
He brought you down to the sea and boarded his large extravagant ship on the ocean. There were tons of people all around, curious of who the young girl was that the captain had brought along.
You hid behind his long legs and peeked out curiously.
"Everyone, this is (Y/n), and she is our new crewmate. I hope you treat her like a jewel and take care of her."
Rin looked down at you and grinned brightly.
"This will be your new home and your new family." He turned his head back to face the other pirates. "(Y/n) is fairly hungry, so why don't we prepare a feast for our new member!"
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
"Pirates saved you, but you hunt and kill them now?" The blonde asked.
You slapped a pillow across his face before laying on your back, staring at the ceiling. "I wish he never did."
"Why?"
You turned slightly to face him, and even though you couldn't see his facial features, you could still see those misty blue orbs of his.
"Because he was worse than my parents. He was the devil himself."
A pitiful laugh left your lips as you slowly turned to face the ceiling.
"He gave my parents gems and jewelry so he could have me, and my parents agreed. They didn't want something that was broken and couldn't provide for them anymore. At first, I felt like I was in heaven. The crew was nice to me, telling me stories of their adventures and playing with me. I was fed until I could burst and sleept on a bed as soft as fur...And Rin took over the role of a father and mentor."
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
"Don't lean so close to the edge, your gonna fall."
Your ten-year-old self peered up from the ocean to find the captain making his way over to you. It had been about two years since you joined the Treasure Pirates, and you'd gotten used to things around the ship.
Although you were in a better environment, it was difficult to change your personality. You were still very pessimistic, cold, and aloof.
Everyone tried to make you happy to the best of their ability, and you couldn't say you were ungrateful. The ship was your home, and you lived it to the fullest.
"I can swim if I fall. Can you?"
You asked coolly, causing the older man to flinch. As you stayed on the ship, you found out about something called the devil fruit.
It gave him the power to make unbreakable promises and deals in exchange for his ability to swim.
Rin scratched at the back of his head and laughed awkwardly. "I will throw you overboard by your ankles, miss." He retorted and stopped once he reached your frame.
You pouted slightly before turning your gaze back to the ocean. It was fairly dark out, the moon high in the sky with thousands of twinkling stars accommodating it.
"I didn't think you would be up with how much you drank, old man. You were already passed out a couple of hours after dinner."
The captain placed his large hand on your head and rustled your hair.
"I didn't sense your presence in your room, so I came out looking for you." He declared.
His words made you turn your head away and rest your arms over the railing. You were still somewhat uncomfortable with affection; you still felt like you didn't deserve it.
"Don't worry about me, old man. Your lovers will be upset if they wake up and do not find you by them."
"Hey." The man called out and poked your forehead. "When you grow up, you'll find that having people by your side like that is very beneficial."
"I don't want to be a wh*re like you."
Rin gripped your ankles and held you upside on board. "Don't call me out like that, miss. And I am not a wh*re; I am a professional lover."
You gave the man a deadpan expression.
"That's a wh*re."
The man shook your body up and down, causing you to cover your mouth to hold in your dinner. "I'm gonna puke."
"Hmph." The man flipped you over in mid-air and placed you atop of his broad shoulders. The two of you didn't say anything, just enjoying the sight of the ocean and the sound of roaring waves.
You leaned over and rested your arms upon his head. The man held your calves securely so you didn't fall over into the water.
"Do you like it here with us, (Y/n)?"
"I'd rather die."
Rin grinned.
"You love it~." He teased and reached up to pinch your nose.
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
"I thought he was my salvation, but you never truly know someone. I would say he changed, but he never really did. All he did was drop the act."
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
"You called for me, Captain?"
Rin looked up from the documents on his desk and placed them down gently. "You're about to be eleven. It's been three years since we took you in and made you part of this crew."
You nodded your head in understanding. "Yes, Captain."
Slowly the very tall male stood up from his seat and reached around to the front of his desk. He leaned back and sat casually across the surface.
"Come here."
You did as told and stepped closer until you were right in front of him.
"Now that you're getting older, you're going to have to start helping out and providing for this crew. We will start training so you can be proficient in your weapons."
"Understood, Captain."
The black-haired man nodded his head before slowly standing to his feet. It was as if he was faster than light in his next movement.
He appeared right in front of you, and a gasp immediately left your lips. You didn't feel anything at first but slowly the pain started to course through your veins.
Looking down with jerking movements, you saw the dagger that you made for his birthday, now embedded deep within your abdomen.
"H-Huh..."
Swiftly he pulled out the weapon and took a step back. Your body staggered, almost falling, but you caught yourself after a moment.
Your hands flew to the wound as it began to bleed. As soon as the crimson liquid left the wound, it turned into blood-red jewels.
Red diamonds, rubies, alexandrites, and red beryls fell to the floor and pooled around your frame. You sucked in a weak breath and fell to one knee.
"R-Rin?"
The man bent down to be squatting in front of your bleeding frame. "I didn't bring you onto this ship just to save you. Word was going around that there was a girl who cried diamonds. I needed you. With your ability, our wealth will increase, and your gems will be used as bargaining chips with the marines."
He placed his hand against your cheek and tightened his grip to bring your face close to his.
"I brought you here to use you. Your only reason for being alive, the only reason we keep you alive, is to be a money bag."
A grin formed on his lips, and it looked just like the ones he usually gave you however, now that you knew the truth, it was more sinister than anything.
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
Killer was silent for a moment, his mouth parted as if he was going to speak, but he was unable to get the words out. It was tragic your history, and he understood you a lot more than he ever had.
"So...how did you get to where you are now? With the Marines, I mean."
You used a hand to cover your eyes to hold back the tears that wanted to fall.
"After that day, Rin began to instruct me how to fight. Physical strength, agility, proficiency, and weapons training. Everything I know now is because of him. And after that first wound healed, I was called back into his office, only for him to cut into me again. He always did that, waiting until I healed and a scar was left behind."
You gripped one of his hands and brought them to your shoulder so he could feel one of the jagged scars on your body.
"He would let me bleed till I was almost dry, then he would send in the ship's doctor to take care of my injuries. And the crazy thing was, out of his office, where he cut and hurt me, he would act just like he usually did. Like I was his daughter, and he was my father. He still would come out of the middle of the night knowing I was there and would watch the sea with me. He joked around lightly and brought me gifts from his travels or what he stole from others."
You shifted onto your stomach and pulled the pillow close to your face.
"You wouldn't understand how much that f*cked with me. Especially as a child dealing with all of that, I was developmentally stunted. I thought that love was to hurt another and that it was okay to almost kill them. Because at the end of the day, you're still family, right?"
Your eyes closed as you took a deep breath.
"And it continued on for seven years. I was seventeen years old before he did something to me that I could never forgive."
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
"Come here. Closer, (Y/n)."
Wearly you stepped closer to his frame, staring at the clean diamond-encrusted dagger. It was the same one you made him years ago and the same one he continued to hurt you with.
Lazily he lifted your shirt to your naval and revealed your lower abdomen to him. Your brows furrowed as you stared down at him.
He never would cut so low on your abdomen. Yes, he would cut your legs and thighs, but never so low on your gut.
The tip of the dagger touched your skin, and you braced yourself for impact. He pressed in slowly at first before driving it all the way in until the hilt met your skin.
You sucked in a breath and gripped his shoulders, the pain flooding through your system. You were used to the wounds he would inflict, but this felt much worse.
He yanked the dagger out roughly and placed it back against your skin a few inches away. Plunging it just as deep, your hands tightened around his body as you leaned forward.
A cry of pain was stuck in your throat, and the only thing you were able to do was tremble in agony from something that hurt more than usual.
Rin pulled it out unapologetically and let you slump against his body while the jewels trickled down onto the wooden metal floor.
He placed the dagger back in its sheath on his thigh and wrapped his arms around you.
"You're going to be of age soon and no longer a child. You might one day find someone you'll 'love' and want to start a family with."
He spoke those words as if they were poison and held you tighter against him. His head was atop yours while you struggled to breathe upon his chest.
"I don't like the idea of your love going to anybody else but me. I am your father, (Y/n). I am your only family, and it shall stay like that for as long as you live.
The captain kissed your forehead and petted your hair. "So don't be too mad at what I did. You can't blame a father for loving his child so much, right?"
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
"So, what did you do?"
"I killed him, obviously."
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
The last body fell on the floor of the ship, crystals and rubies formed around the deep cuts that you had inflicted.
You straightened your form and lowered your arms that were holding Saisei Kurisutarufan. Blood was splattered against your skin and clothes as well as your weapon.
Rin's eyes were wide, his body trembling; however, he could not escape the crystals that were around his frame. It kept him in a place like ice would keep something frozen still.
"(Y/n), think about this. I'm your father, for god's sake!" Rin shouted, but you had no reaction to his words.
Everything he did throughout your life on the ship left you cold and impassive. You felt nothing as you slaughtered every pirate on the ship while leaving the captain for last.
You had spent nine years on this ship, and those nine years you spent with every single one of the crewmates.
They were family but just as guilty for allowing Rin's torture for their own greedy benefits. Stepping closer to his frame to sheathe the fans in their holsters on your thighs and hold onto the sides of the older man's face.
"I know you are my father." You replied coldly and caressed his cheek with your thumb. "Which is why I'm being so merciful."
Rin threw his body against your crystals to get out, but his efforts were futile, and he knew it. Your crystals were unbreakable, and there was nothing he could do against it.
Placing a long kiss on his forehead, you dug your nails into his throat at the same time.
"Ah!" He hissed, his blood breaking past the layer of skin to drip onto your fingers.
"I love you father."
"(Y/n), Wait!"
You placed your hands against the crystals and pushed him over into the water. He screamed, pleading for your help as he quickly submerged in the water.
Even though he was a pirate who sailed across the open seas, he couldn't swim due to losing the ability to after eating his devil fruit.
You weren't able to physically kill him due to the power of your oath, but you were able to use his weakness against him.
He would drown in the ocean, alone, betrayed, and suffocating painfully from the water filling his lungs.
Now that he was dead, the marking disappeared from your hands and officially unbound you from the cage he had put you in.
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
"Shortly after, a Marine ship arrived, and they saw the damage I had done. I told them the names of everyone I had killed, and I assumed they were going to capture me and contain me for the bounty on my head. I had even dropped down to my knees and held my wrist out to be taken away. I didn't have a reason for living; there was nothing I wanted and nobody I needed. But instead of capturing me, Great Staff Officer Tsuru offered me a deal."
You couldn't help but smile at the memory.
"There I was, drenched in the blood of hundreds of pirates and covered in scars, but she was offering to have me work for the Marines. She offered a murderer a place in a powerful organization that was supposed to maintain law and order as well as impose the will and might of the world government."
A trivial laugh echoed from your throat.
"I refused. I'd rather die than be used by authority again. And so Tsuru said she'd kill me then. For the first time in a long time, I remember smiling at her and then doing something I had been unable to do since I was eight years old. I cried, blue and clear diamonds hitting the floor as I bowed my head and exposed my neck for her."
You brought your hands to the back of your neck and rubbed your thumbs over the thin-sliced scar.
"I felt the coolness of a sword against my neck and waited for her to end my life. She dug it in, and I felt the blood seep out of the wound and turn to jewels before they hit the floor. I remember telling her to do it, to get it over with, because I was so tired of being alive in this world. But she pulled the sword out of my neck and threw it to the ground. Instead of killing me, she offered her hand and told me that she would never allow another to use me again so long as she lived."
Killer turned over onto his side to look at you. "And you believed her after being lied to before?"
You shook your head in response.
"No. I told her to go to hell."
Killer cleared his throat and stopped himself from laughing. "Certainly sounds like something you'd say."
You smiled at his words and nodded your head.
"That old woman kicked me over and shook her fist angrily. She yelled at me for wanting to waste my life when there was so much I could do for the greater good. The marines knew of my history, almost everyone did, and Tsuru used that against me. She said I could use the gems I created to finance an organization for children who were like me. Abused, abandoned, and sold into slavery. I could stop others from having to go through what I did. That would be my reason for living."
You didn't say anything for a moment, just breathing deeply from remembering the memories.
"I raised through the ranks quickly, quicker than almost half of the marines. The other soldiers didn't like that and were opposed to my position. People who weren't my subordinates tried in every way to de-rank me or have me fired. But just because I joined the marines didn't mean I wasn't merciless either."
An unapologetic grin formed on your lips.
"I had been a murderer since childhood, and that was never going to stop, and they were lucky I didn't want to lose my position by killing them. But there are other ways of getting even that don't require killing. Not to mention the previous and current Fleet Admiral didn't want to lose me and my work. Monkey D. Garp is seen as 'The Hero of The Marines,' but I was the one who saved countless children from abuse and slavery. My subordinates and I took down pirates after pirates in a very...un-marine-like manner which is why we weren't a favorite to the higher-ups."
You closed your eyes and rested your hands on your stomach.
"And that's where we are today. A Vice Admiral for the Marines, the owner of the world's biggest child salvation program, but still a murderer with blood on her hands."
A yawn left your lips, causing you to turn onto your side and face away from the blond pirate. "I've told you enough, more than I should have, but I don't want your sympathy. In the morning, I wish to see you gone and we'll pretend like this never happened. Deal?"
...
"Deal."

"You're pregnant."
...
"I'm sorry, say that again."
Tsuru hit your face with the paper in her gloved hands and shook her head. "Stop being hard of hearing." She muttered while crossing her arms under her chest.
"You are carrying a child in that womb of yours."
Immediately you fell back on your bed and stared up a the crystal-covered roof of your canopy bed. "No f*cking way."
"You gave me the paper and told me to read it because you wouldn't believe it if you saw it yourself."
Your bottom lip quivered as everything set in. You were going to be a mother to the tiny human that was growing inside of your body.
And the only person, the father, could be the last person you slept with a couple of months ago.
The Massacre Soldier, Killer.
"Oh my god. My baby's father is a pirate."
The papers fell from the old woman's grasp. She stared at the wall, shocked, before flinging her gaze to your face. "What!?" She asked in disbelief.
"I-I-I-" You couldn't get the words out, feeling dread and shame filling your entire body. You felt like a disgrace to the Veteran Marine who stared down at you.
Your eyes watered, and as soon as the liquid escaped your bottom lids, they turned into teardrop-shaped diamonds. "It's not what you think." You whispered, but it only seemed to enrage the grey-haired woman even more.
"W-Were you r*ped!? Taken advantaged of!?" Her hands flung to your shoulders, where she held them in a tight grip. "(Y/n), you can tell me the truth."
You hung your head in shame and covered your face with your hands. The diamond droplets pooled within the palms of your hands, causing you to abruptly stand up and face the wall of windows.
"No! No...It's none of that..." Your words were coming out like a whisper, but the veteran still heard you.
"Then what, (Y/n)?"
You bit into your bottom lip with your teeth and hugged your arms tightly against your chest.
"During my infiltration on Delta Island, I ate some spiked food, and it affected me. I initiated the idea so a pirate and I shared one night together to help me, but I didn't think that I..."
You turned your head slightly to meet the strong gaze of the older woman. "You remember what happened when I was younger. He tore my tubes...and sterilized me..."
Tsuru swallowed thickly before placing a loose strand of hair behind her ear. "I know, but what's done is done. You are with child, and we're going to have to tell Garp about this." She stated.
"No!" You cried and gripped the woman's hands. "You absolutely cannot."
Monkey D. Garp and Tsuru were your mentors when you first came to the Marines and eventually became your surrogate grandparents.
They helped you accomplish your goals and vouched for you when others complained about your quick promotions.
"(Y/n)." She said your name softly and looked down at you from her 6'8 (204 cm) height.
"You are in no position to be fighting anymore. Since you are pregnant, it means over time, your tubes have healed and mended themselves back together, but that doesn't mean you are safe. Your womb is extremely fragile, and the chance of miscarriage is high."
You released her hand and stepped away. "No." You whispered. "Then let it happen!"
"(Y/n)!" The woman shouted in disbelief.
"I cannot be a mother. I will not be one ever!" You hissed and grabbed the dagger you once gave to Rin from the weapons rack on your wall. "How am I supposed to be a mother when I don't even know what one is!?"
You placed the point against your lower stomach and faced the woman who looked frazzled by the situation.
"I don't even know what love is! How am I supposed to 'love' some creature in my stomach!? I wasn't raised on 'love' properly, and I could never raise this thing correctly! I will only destroy its life as my parents and Rin have done to me!"
Your eyes water which was followed by the blue and clear diamonds that hit the floor. The overwhelming emotions that you were feeling caused your knees to jerk and give out, causing you to fall to the ground.
You didn't remove the sharp dagger from your stomach; in fact, you pressed it harder and pierced your skin, blood being turned into gems that hit the floor with a clink.
The veteran marine swallowed thickly and cautiously kneeled in front of you. "Listen to me, (Y/n)." She said slowly.
You kept your gaze on the ground as you hung your head low from shame. "Why? What can you tell me? Everything I said was right...I'm not fit to be a mother at all. I'd rather kill this thing than bring it into this world just to suffer as I did..."
Tsuru slowly placed her hands around your head and pulled you into her chest. "Think about it, (Y/n). I know you were raised the wrong way and weren't raised like how you should have been, but that doesn't mean you will do the same. You know what's right and wrong; you know what should and shouldn't be done. Garp and I have tried our best to show you what raising a child should have been like."
Her calloused hands raked through your hair softly, careful of your tender head.
"You'll be okay. You can do it. You are not your parents or Rin. You even own and finance a program to help children, so they don't suffer. You find them good homes and also provide funding to the families so they can support the child."
"And remember the most important thing." She tilted your head up to look at her. "You are not alone...I am here for you. Garp and Gion are as well. We'll always be there for you...no matter what, so don't you forget that."
Your grip on the dagger loosened, allowing the woman to grab it from your hold. She threw it on your bed before helping you to your feet.
"Let's go tell the Vice Admiral now. We'll have to figure this situation out and decide the best option for you and your child."

one piece x y/n [part-1]
there were multiple reasons that you disguise yourself as a man .
and one of them was because your mother don't want you to live a life she lived as a women .
you cannot remember much but your father get murdered by a pirate when you were two years old .
since then your mother face many difficulties in her life . it was hard to raise a child all alone , she was the only family you had until when you were 15 she died . and the fact which make you more angry was she also get murdered by a pirate .
you hate pirates enough but this time you cannot hold it in and want to take your revenge .
you became a marine . in a while you became captain and finally took your revenge on those pirates .
you still keep your hard work , you defeated many pirates which was admired by many peoples . you were young and strong and because you were disguised as a man many women try to approch you but little do they know was you were not into women and mostly you never thought about romance once . you were so desperate to climb on top .
one day akinu called for you , you were kind of shocked . in the first place you don't like him that much , he sure was powerful which you sure do appreciate but his sense of justice was way more different then yours .
" sir did you call me ? " you asked while knocking on the door .
" yes , come in ! " akinu replied .
you went in .
you stand up in alert position .
" I was looking for a particular skill and I think no one can better do this mission then you " he said while looking towards you .
" l/n y/n I am giving you a new mission " he said
" yes sir ! " you replied with dedication .
" you are going to join mugiwara crew " he said .
you were shocked . you hated pirates so much so how can you join and became one of them .
" but sir - " before you can complete saying your sentence he harsly said , " I am not done yet " .
" you are going to spy on them , recently they are becoming big threat to world government , and no one can possible fool them better then you " he said .
you understand that now no matter what you say you cannot oppose him' well mugiwara I don't think it could be that bad anyways' . you thought .
you have heard from garp , koby and other that the captain monkey d luffy is a total dumbass but he is strong and can be lot strong than you too but on the other hand you just have to spy on them anyways .
taking about garp , he is just like a father figure to you , you never knew father's love but you were pretty sure that if your father was alive then he was just like garp , strict , strong , hard on their children but caring , loving at the same time .
" - and that's all about the mission you will get departure after a month so you better get ready for everything " you finally noticed that akinu was still taking to you while you were in your thoughts .
" yes sir " you answered and left the cabin .
you take a deep sigh while proceeding towards your room .
from next day your training started you were not allowed to tell anyone anything but you shared every detail of your mission with garp and koby who is more likely a brother or best friend to you . you trust them with your life .
and in a blink whole month passed by . and now you were ready to meet straw hat pirates .
" hah here I am , finally " you were about to cry from happiness . it's been a week since you are searching for straw hats but somehow you cannot and now finally you saw their ship . without thinking of anything you climb on the ship after looking around you found no one on the ship . you checked in kitchen at last and you were hungry too so you decided to take out some stuff from fridge and eat . when you eat the first bite , you cannot stop yourself from eating more and more and more .
after eating the whole stuff of fridge you decided to take a nap while hidding from everyone . you went inside a certain room , you can saw many books there but you have absolutely no interest , you opened the closet and lied there , before you can notice you feel asleep from the exhaustion of past days .

tags: mihawk's daughter!reader, female reader, canon-typical violence, cursing, no use of 'y/n', pet names per mihawk ('dear', 'darling', 'sweetheart', 'little hawk'), emotional hurt/comfort, sexual harassment (from nameless OC), slow burn
author’s note: finally she's here! i'm posting it spaced out because i don't want to overload you all with a 23.6k fic in one post... IMPORTANT NOTE: i did some research from the animanga for mihawk's personality, weapons, and home, but this is still very much only a fic for OPLA and not the other iterations of the material.
the fic is not exactly only a romance; it focuses a lot on the reader's personal character development along with her relationship with mihawk too. i hope you guys don't mind! i kind of lost the plot lol.
reader is mihawk's biological daughter, but is stated to take after her mother and doesn't bear similarity to mihawk. so the fic is poc reader friendly!

Your dad was late to dinner again.
To be fair, Dracule Mihawk didn’t exactly follow a schedule. He was fickle—back when you’d been a girl, he’d been around all the time, because although he was a lot of things, Mihawk was not an absentee parent. But as you’d grown older, he started being less strict, leaving you alone for days and weeks until you’d finally matured into an adult. Mihawk spent most of his time away from the house, now—but you agreed to have dinner together every week, no matter what part of the ocean he was in.
And he was late.
You’d started cooking the meal early, only for Mihawk to not show up when everything was ready. Or after everything was ready. Or even when everything had cooled, and you’d eaten your fill, and waited in your chair for him to arrive. He finally showed up a quarter past two in the morning, the doors of the dining room bursting open to announce his entrance.
You cracked an eye open from where you’d been dozing in your seat. “You’re late.”
“I’m sorry, darling,” Mihawk said, taking his hat off and bowing with a flourish. He pressed a kiss to the back of your hand. “I got a little busy. Garp had me deal with a pirate in the East Blue.”
You made a face at him as he sat down to eat. “Could’ve at least let me know. Den den mushi exist for a reason.”
“Ah, well, my apologies.” Mihawk sighed, dramatic as ever—you couldn’t find it in you to be mad at him for more than a few minutes, though, something he knew well. “It would’ve gone quickly had some upstart not challenged me to a duel. So I had to spend the night.” He tsked, clicking his tongue against the roof of his mouth. “And then I went to visit an old friend. Red-haired Shanks.”
“I remember him.” You got up from your seat, moving to the kitchen to rifle in the icebox for a popsicle. “Another duel? What’s this week’s body count?”
“You know I don’t tally such trifling matters, sweetheart,” Mihawk said. You shrugged, leaning against the doorway of the kitchen to watch him start eating. “This pasta is cold.”
“Wasn’t cold four hours ago,” you said, languidly licking at your popsicle. “No sympathy here, dad.”
“Fine,” Mihawk said. “Anyway, I don’t suppose you’ve ever heard of the man. Tall, green hair, three swords.” He wrinkled his nose. “Said people called him the Demon.”
“Roronoa Zoro,” you affirmed, slipping into the chair beside your father. “Scariest pirate hunter in the East Blue. You killed him?”
“Clearly not much of a pirate hunter, considering he’s a pirate now,” Mihawk said, the scrape of his knife and fork ringing around the room. “Joined the man I Garp sent me after, this little boy in a straw hat. And no. I let him and his crew go.”
You paused, voice faltering as you registered the words. “You let him live?”
“Yes. He was rather interesting. I expect he’ll come find me later,” Mihawk answered. You stared at him, still baffled. Your father was a lot of things, but a man of mercy was not one of them. Your earliest memory of him exacting his power over others was when you’d been two, watching from your crib as he speared the nanny for calling you a brat. A touching gesture, for certain, but still. “But enough about work. How have you been, little hawk?”
“Bored,” you said with a sigh. “It’s so dull on this island.”
Mihawk looked amused. “You could leave. I’m not restricting you here anymore.” Back in your teen years, Mihawk hadn’t let you leave the house—something about enemies wanting to kill his daughter or whatever else nonsense. He’d trained you personally, though, so you were nearly as fearsome as your father—able to beat anyone in combat in the blink of an eye. “You don’t have to stay.”
“The house would get all dusty,” you protested, lips tugging into a line. And it wasn’t like you hadn’t done any exploring. Mihawk had taken you to all four seas throughout your adolescence, and you’d taken vacations to everywhere of importance. You just—didn’t have much of a point to leave, really. You very much preferred not to, something tying you firmly to the island, to your castle. “And besides, where would I even go?”
“I hear the East Blue is interesting this time of year,” Mihawk said. “You could venture around here, but…” He shrugged. “The Grand Line is dangerous.”
You made a face. “I’ve lived here my entire life. I can take care of myself.”
“Certainly,” Mihawk agreed easily. “But it’s simply not worth it. You really should get out more, dear. It’s not good for your health.”
“Maybe,” you said, but you weren’t very enthusiastic about it. “Here, I’ll clean Yoru for you while you finish eating.” You moved around the back of his chair, lifting his sword off the jacket he hadn’t bothered to shed from his back. You grimaced upon seeing a line of dried blood along the blade. “Dad.”
“Sorry, dear,” Mihawk said, and you rolled your eyes, carrying the sword over to the living room. You set Yoru down with a heavy thud, pulling out a box of materials. Mihawk came over to watch you, one arm propped against the doorway as his aureate eyes gazed down as you worked.
Compared to your dad, you looked relatively normal. You’d always taken after your mother—a mysterious woman you barely had any memories of—and the relation between the two of you was never immediately obvious. The fact your eyes were plainly normal instead of bearing the golden hawk eyes Mihawk had was another factor added to that, too.
You pulled out a bottle of oil, pouring it generously over Yoru’s blade before grabbing a cloth to carefully wipe it with. “Where in the East Blue?” you asked abruptly, not looking up. Mihawk’s fork clinked along the ceramic of his bowl, presumably surprised you’d actually consider the offer of leaving.
“Well, I could send you out to run some errands if you wish. I’ve got some things to attend to,” Mihawk optioned. “There’s this one store in Loguetown with a rather nice jacket I’ve had my eye on.”
You shot him a disbelieving look. “You want me to go to the East Blue to buy you a jacket.”
Mihawk shrugged. “My birthday’s coming up.”
“No, it’s not.” You slid your rag along the edge of Yoru’s blade, folding it in half before wiping the entire thing again to ensure there was no grime left. “Finished. Maybe I’ll just stay—”
Mihawk gave you a look.
“Fine. Loguetown it is,” you said with a sigh. “Don’t give me a crew. I’ll just take one of the sloops. I’ll get your dumb jacket for you.” You got up, tossing the cloth over a shoulder to hand wash later. “I’ll leave later today.”
Mihawk clicked his tongue. “You’re so enthusiastic, darling. I can practically see the excitement oozing off of you.”
You rolled your eyes, moving past him to go up to your room. “Short trip,” you said. “No more than a couple of days.”
“The little hawk, so incited to leave the nest.”
“Shut up.”
Mihawk had complied with your wishes, as when you woke up the next morning, he had already prepared a sloop for you to board alone. You packed some of your things, not being too fussy about the clothing or other objects, knowing that the boat was already well-stocked on its own. Mihawk waited to send you off, though you knew he probably had affairs to attend to by now.
“Be good, darling,” he said, while you were loading up the last of your stuff. Just like your father, you preferred to wear your sword on your back; a present he’d given you at the age of thirteen. “I’ll call you. I’ve got business in the South Blue.”
“Have fun,” you said, and he kissed the back of your hand before pushing you off.
Loguetown was just how you’d remembered it, buzzing with civilians and pirates alike. The stores were plentiful, and filled to the brim with customers—it was all a little overwhelming compared to the peace and quiet you were used to. Still, it wasn’t a bad place to stay for a few weeks, and you might as well take your time there.
You slung your coat on as you exited the docks, glancing around the town in search of something to do first. Since you weren’t especially interested in retrieving a jacket for your father just yet, you beelined to the nearest tavern to grab something to eat. It was a lot easier traveling without Mihawk at your side—as much as you loved him, he had the habit of attracting both trouble and fear wherever he went, and he was near impossible to go out with.
The tavern was full, but not too crowded, and you managed to slip over to the bar without much trouble. It seemed to mostly consist of pirates—rough men with flowing jackets and holsters of guns and swords at their hip, clustered together in groupings that clearly proved their alliances with each other. You were one of the only patrons who was alone.
You gestured for the barkeep, and she bustled over from where she was serving a particularly ragtag group of pirates. They were mismatched, colors oddly paired—a girl with neon orange hair, a short man with a straw hat, one wearing a flowery shirt and goggles and the last man dressed in clothes far too formal for a bar. “What can I get for you?” she asked, a thick brogue dragging down her words.
You told her your drink order, still eyeing the group. The barkeep followed your vision and let out a sigh. “Don’t bother. Three men have already tried to capture him for the bounty.  Broke half my furniture. And we got a rule here, anyway—no fightin’.”
“Does he have a bounty?” you asked with a frown. She scoffed.
“Does he ever. Thirty million berry, child. Highest in the East Blue.” She shook her head. “That crew won’t let anyone touch ‘im. Hell, I think his first mate’s still outside cleaning up the bodies.” She sighed again. “Well, I’ll have that drink out for you in a moment.”
You nodded, slipping into the closest available chair. Now that you were paying attention, you could see practically every pair of eyes fixed on the group—specifically, on the man in the center wearing the straw hat.
Before you could ask another question, the door to the tavern opened, and a lean, green-haired man filled the doorway. You glanced over at the barkeep, a flash of recognition in your eyes. “That’s Roronoa Zoro.”
“Aye,” she said, setting your drink in front of you. “If there’s someone who might be able to cash in that bounty, it’d be him. But believe it or not, he’s with the Straw Hat.”
You watched as the pirate hunter made his way to the table the others sat at. The glint of his famed three earrings reflected off the tavern lights, and the sword on his hip swayed as he walked—but there was only one rather than the three you’d heard tales about. “Yeah, my father said something of the sort.”
The barkeep hummed, turning to attend to a pirate who’d taken a seat at your left. “And who’s your father, lass?”
“Dracule Mihawk.”
The pirate beside you raised his head, turning towards you in almost alarm. Beside him, his crew quieted, and the barkeep glanced up to meet your eyes. “Dracule Mihawk?” she repeated incredulously.
“He sent me to buy him a coat,” you said. “I don’t suppose you know where any shops are around here?”
“Er, there’s a shop off main you might want to see,” the barkeep said, eyes flickering over to the pirate crew that had changed their focus to you. “Anything else for you, then?”
“I’m good, thanks,” you said, taking another sip of your drink. She nodded, leaving the bar in favor of moving over to another table. The pirate beside you turned slowly, stool scraping against the floor as he sneered down at you.
“Dracule Mihawk’s daughter, eh?” he asked. “Care if I buy you a drink?” Behind him, the rest of his crew tittered. You just sighed.
“Sorry, my father doesn’t let me go out with anyone who hasn’t bested me in combat.” You knocked back the rest of your drink, glancing up and down the pirate’s figure. He didn’t look like much—two pistols strapped to the hip, a longsword on the other, a raggedy leather jacket with a hat to match.
The pirate scoffed. “Please,” he said, though you could see his skin turning rapidly crimson. “I doubt you’re even related to him. No hawk eyes or nothing.”
You met his gaze, lips tightening into a line. I take after my mother.”
“Biggest lie I ever heard, aye, crew?” The pirate turned back towards the rest of his men, and they cheered in agreement. You huffed out a sigh, trying your very best not to turn combative—despite everything, you were proud of your relationship with your father, and anyone trying to call you a liar for your lineage just left you vexed and angry. Before you could step away, though, the pirate turned towards the rest of the tavern, apparently having had a bit too much liquor. He raised his voice, practically yelling now. “Oi! This girl thinks she’s the daughter of Dracule Mihawk!”
Out of your peripheral vision, you saw Roronoa Zoro look up, the rest of his crew glancing over at you at the words. You were distracted within a second, the pirate shoving your arm. “Hey, don’t look away, girl. I’m trying to—”
You grabbed onto his wrist, nails razor-sharp as they embedded into his skin. “Don’t touch me.”
“Oh, you think you’re tough, do you?” The pirate yanked his hand out of your grip. “Did your daddy teach you how to fight, huh? Think you can beat me?”
“I know I can beat you,” you answered. The pirate reached for his sword, then, fingers tightening around the hilt.
“Alright, let’s make it a bet then. You beat me, I believe your claim about being Mihawk’s daughter.” His lips curled back into an ugly sneer, and you debated stepping out of the conversation and just going off to find that shop for your dad’s coat anyway. Fights like these were never worth getting into, and you really didn’t want to break any more of the barkeep’s furniture after she’d let out her annoyances to you.
Before you could, though, the pirate opened his big mouth once again.
“I beat you, and you go to bed with me.”
You were whipping your sword out before you could even think, red flashing in your vision as you scraped your blade out from the holster on your back. The metal gleamed under the lights, white steel bright as day as you leveled it in your hand. It wasn’t the largest weapon, a perfectly balanced cut-and-thrust spadroon with a golden hilt wrapped in white ribbon. You tightened your grip on the handle.
“I beat you,” you hissed, voice low, “and you’re dead.”
He lunged for you, pulling his sword out in one solid stroke and meeting yours in a loud clang. You shot an apologetic look towards the barkeep, spinning on your back leg and kicking the pirate away. The force caused him to stumble, sword skittering to the side as you shoved it off your blade.
One of his crew members had cocked a gun to your head, and you spun your swords toward him, blade cutting through the metal like it was butter. The rest of the crew stepped back, one or two of them lunging for you. You parried all of their attacks, shoving them to the ground until they stopped trying to fight.
The captain had gotten up, a fierce snarl upon his face as you slammed your blade down towards him. He blocked it with his sword, and then went for various attacks towards your figure—you dodged each one of them, parrying them easily as you moved backwards. At the last one, you used your weight to buck the sword back in his direction, and he stumbled again.
You ducked down, sweeping him off his feet with a well-aimed kick to his shins, and he fell, sword clattering out of reach as he dropped flat on his back. You towered over him, pointing the edge of your blade at his throat.
“You want me to go outside to kill him?” you asked. The barkeep sighed.
“If you don’t mind, lass.”
“Not at all.” You bent over, grabbing firmly onto the pirate’s shirt and yanking him upwards. His crew made a move towards you, but you just shoved your sword in their direction, and they stepped away. You spun your sword’s hilt around in your hand with a flourish, then started dragging the captain out the tavern door.
“No—wait—let me go,” the pirate begged, once you dropped him to the gravel outside and moved your sword to his throat again. “I’m sorry. I didn’t—I didn’t mean it—you’re a pretty girl, that’s all—”
“I don’t date men who can’t beat me in combat,” you said coolly. “Lower your expectations.” With that, you spun your sword again, sliding it back on the holster of your jacket. “I’ll let you live just this once. If you ever make any comments towards a woman again—”
“I get it. I’m sorry,” the man said, scrambling to his feet. You just eyed him.
“I need another drink.”
The tavern was dead silent when you returned to your seat, gingerly sitting back down on the stool you’d first occupied. “Another drink, if you don’t mind,” you said to the barkeep, and she nodded. A moment passed as she filled your mug, and then she asked—
“Is Dracule Mihawk really your father?”
“Unfortunately,” you muttered, taking the drink she offered and taking a swig. Out of the corner of your eye, you could see the Straw Hat pirate and his crew muttering amongst themselves. One of them nudged Roronoa Zoro in the side, and he grimaced, the loose shirt he wore parting with the motion. You caught a glimpse of bandages, wound tight with blood seeping through a familiar line. Yoru’s doing.
Zoro stood up, making his way over to the bar beside you. He propped his elbows on the table, but he didn’t sit, nodding at the barkeep. “Another round for my friends,” he said. His voice was quieter than you’d expected; a low mutter and almost soft in timbre. He glanced over at you, eyes flickering down and up again before he spoke. “I tried to kill your father.”
“Yeah, he told me,” you said. “Roronoa Zoro. What happened to your other two swords?”
Zoro scoffed. “Your dad.”
“He can be a little dramatic sometimes,” you said apologetically. He glanced over you again.
“You don’t look much like him.” He paused. “Figured I’d know if Mihawk had a daughter.”
“I take after my mother, and he’s very overprotective,” you said, getting just the slightest bit annoyed about everyone questioning your parentage. The barkeep returned then, sliding five beers across the table over to Zoro, and you stood up. “Now if you’d excuse me, I have some shopping to do.”
You exited the tavern after paying your tab, wandering around the streets of Loguetown to find the closest clothing store. Your father’s style was ridiculously grand, so it’d be something in the nicer branch of the city—you had just entered your best guess when you pulled out a shell phone, pushing the little snail into your ear and calling your father’s number.
He picked up on the first ring. “What is it, darling?”
“Did you have a specific coat in mind?” You glanced through a row of black leather, trying to find one that’d match Mihawk’s liking. “I’m at this place called Lady Tide’s Dressing Boutique. It’s the bougiest place I could find.”
“Lady Tide’s would be correct,” Mihawk said. “I trust your taste. Pick something I’d like.”
“You better be paying me back for this,” you threatened, turning the corner as you spoke. You jumped back in surprise, letting out a squeak as the Straw Hat pirate from before appeared right in front of you, a grin stretching up his face.
Mihawk’s laugh crackled through the line at your surprise. “Get startled, dear?”
“The pirate Garp sent you after is stalking me,” you deadpanned. The Straw Hat pirate’s grin only widened. “I’ll call you back.”
You hung up, taking the den den mushi out of your ear and back into its case. “What?”
“You’re a really good fighter,” the Straw Hat said brightly. “I’m Monkey D. Luffy, and I’m going to be King of the Pirates. You should think about joining my crew!”
“I—” you stared at him in disbelief, mind reeling from the whiplash of his words. “Thanks for the offer, but I’m not a pirate.”
Luffy tilted his head to the side in question. “But your dad is Mihawk.”
“That doesn’t make me a pirate. I just stay at home for the most part,” you said. Luffy continued following you around the store, however, even as you stepped past him to browse more jackets. You glimpsed the rest of his crew hanging around the store, though none seemed to do any actual shopping. You figured Lady Tide’s was probably out of their price range. “Why are you still following me?”
“I think you should join my crew,” Luffy repeated. “Have you ever been to the Grand Line? That’s where we’re headed next.”
You gave him a look. “I live in the Grand Line.”
“Whoa,” Luffy breathed. “Well, you must know all about it, then!”
You turned away from him, picking a jacket off the rack in front of you and appraising it. Golden buttons, long tailcoat, wide lapels—not really Mihawk’s taste. You set it back. “Not really,” you finally answered. “Like I said, I stay at home for the most part. Haven’t done much exploring.”
“Don’t you want to?” Luffy asked, taking a step closer to you. You flinched. “Your dad’s one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea! You should be going out and adventuring, not just staying at home and doing whatever Mihawk tells you to!”
“Don’t,” you snapped, voice low. “I stay home because I want to. Not because my dad forces me to.” Your words bore no lie, but still, there was a rumble of uncertainty deep in your gut. Mihawk had always been supportive, but pirating had always been his thing. You preferred the solace of your own home, and there was no point in adventuring when Mihawk had seen it all before.
“I’m just saying, what do you even do all day?” Luffy asked with a quirk of the lip. “Stay home and clean? Go out once in a while to buy groceries or get stuff for your dad?” He gestured at the coat you were holding, and you flushed, shoving it back onto the rack. “Isn’t it boring? Don’t you want more than such an average life?”
“I’m perfectly happy with my life right now, thank you,” you snapped. “Go preach to someone else.”
Luffy had stopped walking, then, looking at you with an almost sympathetic expression on his face. “Living isn’t the same as thriving, you know,” he said. “You should go out. Find adventure. Aren’t there things you want to know? Questions you want answered?”
“Luffy.” You turned to see Roronoa Zoro move to his captain’s side, head dipping as he spoke to him. His tone was quiet, but you could still overhear— “Leave her alone. We’ve got business.”
Luffy looked dejected at that, but he agreed, bowing his head towards you before turning to the rest of his crew. They’d gathered by the mouth of the store, engaged in their own various activities as they waited. You watched Luffy turn to leave, words climbing up your throat even as you tried to swallow them down. “Wait!”
Luffy turned, that bright smile reappearing on his face. “What?”
“I want to know one thing,” you said, taking a step closer to the captain and his first mate. You glanced up at Zoro, who met your gaze. His face seemed carved of steel, skin bearing no grimace, eyes betraying nothing. “Why did my father let you live?”
Zoro looked away, and you realized he probably didn’t know the answer himself. Before you could speak again, though, Luffy interrupted.
“Because Zoro’s the best,” he declared, capturing your attention away from the injured swordsman. He slapped Zoro’s bicep with a heavy thud, and you were surprised when the other man didn’t even flinch. “And he’s gonna be better than Mihawk one day. He’s going to defeat him in a duel and take his title and become—”
“The world’s greatest swordsman,” Zoro finished. The words were muttered under his breath, clearly to himself rather than intending for you to hear.
You watched them for a moment before finally turning away. “Okay,” you said. “Good luck with that.”
Luffy stared at you for a moment longer, but Zoro was already turning away and walking towards the rest of the crew. There was an unsettling feeling in your gut, one you tried to squash. Whatever—you had better things to do than worry about some Straw Hat pirate and a retired pirate hunter.
You returned to your browsing, looking through various jacket designs until you finally fell across one you were certain your father liked. It was ridiculously expensive, but your father’s taste had always been so—you purchased it without a second thought, slinging it across a shoulder and returning to your sloop for the rest of the day.
To your great disappointment, the Straw Hat pirate’s words continued to echo throughout your head. His demeanor was off-putting, to say the least—the extreme amounts of candor and cheeriness he had made for a disorienting combination. Even as you tried to stop thinking about his terrifyingly honest words, you couldn’t. Don’t you want more than such an average life?
You sighed, mood irritable from the day's events. You’d returned to your sloop and hadn’t done much of anything for a few hours—past having a meal and cleaning up your boat, there was nothing to do. You mulled over your options, wondering if you shouldn’t just start the journey back home. But Luffy’s words came back to you.
“I need a drink,” you muttered, donning your coat and leaving to attend the first bar you could find.
You went someplace ritzy this time, near the peak of Loguetown where neon lights glimmered in the dark hour. It was crowded, and music blasted through the bar, pounding bass nearly making the floor reverberate. You slipped inside without much trouble, squeezing through the crowd and making way for the bar at the other end of the room.
You bought yourself a drink, knocking it back in just a few gulps. There were marines patrolling around in the building, although none of them seemed too keen on completing any of their duties. Pirates walked around freely too, but these ones were more dignified than the ones you’d seen in the tavern at town.
“You hear Straw Hat Luffy’s here at Loguetown right now?” someone muttered to your right. You glanced over with a furtive gaze to see who was speaking—two men, dressed in fine silks and coats. Swords dangled from their hips. Pirates, maybe, or pirate hunters. “His ship’s docked over by south port.”
“You’re not going to try and nab him, are you?” the other pirate hunter asked, fingers pinched around a thin glass of something. “That bounty’s hefty, but fighting them’ll be…”
“I’m getting a bunch of hunters together,” the first one said. “We’ll split the bounty. At midnight, once the whole crew’s asleep. I followed the navigator; seems they’re not leaving until the morning.”
“Thirty million split between many isn’t much.”
“Well.” The hunter made a vague gesture, a smirk playing at his lips. “I doubt we’ll all be alive by the end of the night, if you know what I mean.”
“Right.” The second hunter downed the rest of his drink. “I’ll be there. Where’s the rendezvous point?”
“Slip forty at south port. Come at midnight,” the first one replied. “My boat. Theirs is at fifty-two.”
You turned away, knocking back the last of your drink before setting the glass back down on the counter. Your mind reeled, and you pulled out a pocket watch to check the time. Nearly eleven. Only an hour left.
“Another drink,” you called, but you stopped after that one. Logically, you knew the Straw Hat crew would be able to handle themselves. Your father wouldn’t have let Zoro go had he not been an impressive fighter—and Luffy certainly had to have some tricks up his sleeve, having such a high bounty and all. But an ambush was an ambush.
You needed to go home.
You paid your bill and slunk outside, taking the long road down to the port. You were docked in the east, but you found yourself wandering towards south port, hands shoved in your pockets and sword heavy on your back.
There was no logical reason to get involved with pirates, you tried to tell yourself. That was Dracule Mihawk’s area of expertise. That was Dracule Mihawk’s life. Not his daughter’s. You were not a pirate—there was no point in being one. Mihawk has done everything already.
You stepped onto the pier of south port, the wooden ramp trembling under your feet. They were shoddily constructed; oak on water, with pegs every few feet or so and ropes thrown casually across the walkways. It was overcrowded with boats, too—ships of every kind and size, smushed into spots not big enough for them depending on how much you paid the dock men. The moon shimmered on the surface of the East Blue. She was calm today, waves lapping at the edges of the docks, tranquil in the night.
You checked your watch again. Nearly midnight.
Dock forty moored a relatively small ship, but it was crowded with men—ten or fifteen, maybe, and you knew they’d be killing each other when the fight was through. Thirty million berry divided between so many people was barely worth it. You slunk past them, counting the numbers of the boat berths.
You knew the boat before you looked at the slip number based on appearance alone. It was large in size, a caravel sporting a gigantic goat figurehead. You stared at it, brows furrowed, jaw slack. Well, it was certainly a ship. There was a large sail boasting the ship’s jolly roger—a crudely designed skull and crossbones sporting the same straw hat their captain wore.
With a sigh, you pulled yourself onboard, careful to not make a sound as you landed on the deck. It was quiet, but you doubted the crew didn’t have at least one lookout for trouble. You tiptoed around the mast, moving towards the foredeck.
You were just about to step a foot on the staircase when a gleaming katana came to your throat.
“What are you doing here?”
Roronoa Zoro was as calm as ever as he held a blade to your jugular, posture perfectly straight, eyes tilted in your direction. You glanced down at the blade, registering the smooth metal. It was the white-handled one; upon seeing it closer, you could better register its quality. It must’ve been insanely durable, more so than his other blades considering Yoru hadn’t shattered this one in battle—one of the strongest blades in the world.
“What’s the sword’s name?” you asked.
Zoro ignored your question. “What are you doing here?” he repeated.
You sighed, turning towards him, although you were careful not to touch the sword. Zoro’s grip didn’t budge. “There are pirate hunters coming here,” you answered. “At midnight. An ambush.”
Zoro still didn’t move. The night sky cast his entire face in shadow, the only light on board being a trembling lantern by the interior doors. You could just barely see the gleam of one eye, yellow light shining on his cheekbone. “Why would you come?”
“Honestly, I don’t know,” you answered coolly. “My father let you go for a reason. It’d be a shame if you died before you realized why.” It was an easy lie—because the real reason was one you didn’t want to think about. Because Luffy’s words struck something in you. Because they rang true.
“We don’t need your protection.”
You shrugged, only one shoulder moving upwards before relaxing again. “Just a friendly warning.”
Carefully, Zoro lowered his blade, the steel scraping along the edge of its scabbard opening before he slid it closed. “The Wado Ichimonji.”
Your eyes were still on the sheathed katana. “Hm?”
“The sword. Its name is Wado Ichimonji.”
You tilted your head back, angling it towards the sword strapped to your jacket. “Hiru,” you said. “That’s mine.”
“Day,” Zoro translated. “You have matching swords with your father?”
“Just matching names,” you answered. “It’s a spadroon, not a kreigsmesser. Much smaller than Yoru. Birthday present. When I was thirteen.”
Zoro eyed you. “I’ll wake the rest of the crew,” he said. “You can go.”
You made no move to, consulting your watch as Zoro rang the ship’s bell. Five minutes to midnight. You could already hear the near-noiseless patter of footsteps on the pier.
The orange-haired woman was the first out, fingers wrapped around a short wooden rod. She exchanged a look with Zoro, and he nodded towards the pier. She somehow knew exactly what he meant from that, dodging back inside the ship and returning, dragging a dark-haired man out.
“Uh, what’s going on?” the man asked, stifling a yawn as he fiddled with a slingshot. Both Zoro and the woman shushed him. “Jeez, okay.” He noticed you then. “Oh, hey, you’re the hawk dude’s kid—”
“Shut up, Usopp,” the woman snapped. She’d moved by the boat’s side, ducked under the rim. The footsteps were getting louder.
The blond man came out next, hands shoved casually in his pockets and dressed in clothes you genuinely did not think functioned as sleepwear. “Hunters,” the orange-haired woman said. “Ambush.”
“Isn’t that lovely,” the blond man murmured. He caught your eye, and a smile lit up his face. “Well, hello there.”
Both Zoro and the woman rolled their eyes. Before the blond could say anything more, though, the hunters’ footsteps abruptly stopped.
The orange-haired woman spun up from her crouch, wooden stick extending into a long staff as she whipped it out. She slammed one end of the staff into an incoming hunter’s gut as he leapt aboard the ship, forcing him off the side of the vessel.
Everything happened all at once, then—you heard the slick shing! of Zoro unsheathing his katana, and the blond was up and running towards another gaggle of hunters within the second, legs flying in an assortment of well-placed kicks.
You reached over your shoulder, tugging Hiru out of its straps. The blade shone bright under the moonlight, and you caught an incoming hunter’s sword with the lick of it, shoving him backwards as you spun.
“Why’s Mihawk’s girl here?” the blond called, as he slid across the deck, leg raising up into a spinning hook. “Not that I’m complaining, of course. Pleased to make your acquaintance.” He met your eyes and winked, leaving you staring in utter disbelief until another hunter distracted you. “I’m Sanji!”
“Okay?” you asked blankly, letting out a huff of exertion as you whipped your sword toward the hunter. He’d pulled out one of his guns, wielding his blade one-handed as he fumbled with the trigger. You breathed in, recalling your father’s words from the thousands of hours spent training. Take advantage of any imbalances, sweetheart. Focus on the center of gravity.
You aimed a sliding kick at the man’s gun, using Hiru to push against his blade. The pressure caused him to fling halfway across the ship, body thudding against the mast before falling to the ground in a heap.
“Impressive,” Sanji whistled from his spot across the ship.
“Shut up,” Zoro and the orange-haired woman said in unison. Zoro was beside the fallen hunter in a second, katana slashing cleanly through his torso before he spun and shoved the blade straight into an incoming man’s stomach. Sanji just scoffed.
“Show-off,” he said accusatively. Zoro rolled his eyes, turning towards Sanji to argue, when you glimpsed someone at his back. You lunged for the man, sword cutting cleanly through his jugular before he fell across the deck, decollated.
Zoro turned, glancing over his shoulder at the body and then up at you. “You’re welcome,” you said, flicking Hiru to the side. Spatters of blood dripped off its blade.
“...Right.” The number of hunters had considerably thinned, only three or four left. The orange-haired woman was still fighting two of them, placing hits of her bo staff along two mens’ skulls. Usopp had crouched by the forecastle, firing pellets off with his slingshot. Sanji dusted off the final two men, until only the ringleader was left.
“Wait, wait.” The hunter backed away until he ran into the ship’s railing. He scrambled for his pistol, but as Zoro, Sanji, and the orange-haired woman advanced on him, apparently realized the idea was in vain. “We—we can talk about this.”
“I don’t think we can.” You turned at the new voice, watching as Luffy slipped out from the captain’s chambers. His hand came up to adjust his hat, crowned atop his head as always. “You came aboard my ship and tried to hurt my friends.”
The hunter’s jaw fell slack, mouth drying over as Luffy came to stand in front of him. The rest of the crew had parted to allow him space, and Luffy titled his head up, the lick of light from the lantern shining against his skin. A crescent-shaped scar under his eye glowed bright, the skin paler than the rest of his face.
“Gum gum…” he started, voice steadily rising in volume as he extended his hand backwards, fingers curled into a fist. To your surprise, his arm just kept stretching back, limb getting longer and longer with a distinctly rubbery stretch until it was all the way at the other side of the ship. “Pistol!”
His arm snapped back all in one, knocking the hunter straight in the jaw and shoving him off the ship in one, devastating blow. You stared at his flailing body, watching as he dropped straight into the ocean ten or so meters away with a loud plop.
You turned towards Luffy, one brow arched in question. “You’re a Devil Fruit eater?”
“The Gum Gum fruit,” Luffy said brightly. He adjusted his hat once more, fixing it atop his head before reaching an arm out to pat you on the shoulder. “Thank you for warning us. You’re a good person.”
“Don’t mention it.” You glanced down at Hiru. “Have anything I can clean my blade with?”
“Sure! Let Sanji cook you something while you’re here,” Luffy said. “It’s the least we can do.”
“Of course,” Sanji said with a little bow. “What would you like? Name anything and I’ll make it.”
You eyed him. “…Anything.”
Sanji let out an exaggerated sigh. “So uninspired. Meet you in the kitchen, then. We can leave the mosshead to clean up the bodies.”
The orange-haired woman just rolled her eyes. “I’m going back to bed,” she declared. She glanced over at you, appraising you in one solid sweep up and down your body. “I’m Nami.”
With that final word, she departed, snapping closed her staff and slipping back into the boat. Luffy, Usopp, and Sanji shuffled into the boat, presumably the kitchen. Zoro just sighed, setting his katana to the side to start cleaning up the corpses left after the battle.
You made no move to follow the others inside, watching as Zoro easily lifted up one of the hunters. The lines of his biceps strained as he climbed off the ship, still hefting the body before finally placing it down on the pier.
“Just toss them into the ocean,” you called. Zoro glanced over his shoulder, registering you standing there. He picked another body up.
“I don’t want to block our slip,” he answered.
“Fair enough. Any oil around here?” You wandered to the ship’s side, glancing through the boxes fixed to the deck. Zoro gestured in some direction that harmed more than it helped, really, but you dug through some boxes before unearthing something you could clean Hiru with.
You worked in silence, slicking the blade with the oil and rubbing off all the blood and mess that had gotten onto it. Zoro was quick, piling up all the corpses and barely-alive bodies by the dock. He shoved a few of them awake with his boot. “Go find a doctor,” you heard him mutter under his breath. You suppressed a laugh.
Eventually, Zoro climbed back on board, searching for his sword only to find it in your hands. You carefully polished off the last of the blade, then presented it to him. “You’re welcome.”
“…Thanks,” Zoro said, sheathing it in one smooth swipe.
“The cut,” you said, glancing down at his torso again. His shirt was covering the bandages, but you knew they were still there. “It was Yoru that did it. Not Kogatana.”
“The big one, yeah,” Zoro answered. You watched him thoughtfully, although you didn’t say a word. He seemed to get impatient by that, and was speaking just a moment afterwards— “Why?”
You gave a quick shake of your head. “Nothing,” you answered, the lie slipping easily off your tongue. But your mind churned with thoughts, the mere brain activity making your stomach curdle. It hadn’t clicked before, but now—your father didn’t use Yoru on anyone who wasn’t worthy. And letting Zoro live—letting the entire crew go, against Garp’s orders?
This was a more interesting group than you’d anticipated.
Zoro eyed you for a moment as you were lost in thought, though he didn’t say anything to interrupt you. Once you finally looked up, he adjusted, clearing his throat. “Should go inside to make sure the waiter isn’t burning down the kitchen,” he said, straightening.
You stood up, sliding Hiru into its scabbard on your back. “The… waiter?”
Zoro shook his head. “Long story.” He gestured with his head, nodding towards the double doors. “Kitchen.”
You followed him, the soft aroma of garlic and meat wafting around the room the instant you stepped foot inside. Everyone was crowded around the kitchen island, propped on chairs and staring as Sanji prepared a meal before them. You joined the group, glancing over Usopp’s shoulder to watch.
There was a stir-fry on the stove, garlic and onions joined by various other vegetables. Sanji drizzled soy sauce along the pan, scraping it around once with his spatula before turning down the heat. He added in some rice—leftover, it looked—along with some battered eggs, mixing it all together.
“Vegetable and chicken fried rice,” Sanji said, turning off the heat once everything had cooked through and starting to distribute it into servings. “I went for something universal because I don’t know what you like.” He met your eyes, flashing a giant, warm smile again. You took the bowl he offered, fingers wrapping around the warm ceramic.
“Thank you,” you said. The four of you stood in silence, and you had the feeling that you were intruding. The crew was a tight unit, that much was certain—wound tightly around each other, ropes intersecting in delicate knots and bows. You turned your attention to your meal. You hadn’t had a real supper, so the food was a welcome surprise, and it was damn near close to the best thing you’d ever tasted.
“So,” Luffy started, “Not to bug you about it a hundred times, but…” You glanced up. His expression was earnest as he met your eyes, lips tugged upwards in an encouraging smile even as he spoke. “Are you joining us?”
“Am I—? Oh,” you said, realizing what it was Luffy was referring to. “Is the offer still standing?”
“Always,” he answered brightly. “You’d be a good fit for our crew, you know.”
Would you really? There wasn’t much of anything special about you besides your parentage. You were as skilled a swordswoman as any, but there were hundreds better and stronger than you. There was no one thing you truly excelled at. “I’ll think about it,” you said hesitantly.
“Well, think quick. We leave at dawn,” Luffy said. “Meet us back here at blue hour if you’d like to join up.” He smiled again, all unassuming, and it was hard to believe a boy so pleasant had a thirty million berry bounty hanging suspended over his head. He yawned, stretching out his long limbs. “Well, I’m off to sleep. Sanji’s next watch.” He glanced over at Zoro. “Why don’t you walk her back to her slip, Zoro?”
 Your brows furrowed, about to object, but Zoro was already standing up. He opted to say nothing, leaving you to set down your empty bowl and say your goodbyes in a hurry to follow him out.
The bodies on the pier had thinned, the alive ones presumably having dragged themselves to town to find a doctor. Zoro stepped over the heap of corpses, and you followed suit, walking in silence down south port. “I’m a little far,” you said. “You might lose your way heading back.”
“I’ll be fine,” Zoro dismissed. “I’m… sorry about Luffy. He can get overly enthusiastic.”
“Oh, it’s fine,” you said with a shake of your head. “Are the rest of the crew open to me joining, though? It didn’t seem like he consulted any of you.”
Zoro’s brows lifted at that, though you weren’t certain why. “We’re all fine with it,” he said eventually. “Luffy wouldn’t invite someone who wouldn’t fit.” He hesitated, the plod of your footsteps creaking against the dock walkway for a few paces before he parted his lips again. “I’m going to fight Mihawk again, you know.”
“I figured,” you answered. You could feel Zoro’s eyes on you, scraping along your skin like they were blades themselves.
“You’re not upset by that?”
“Everyone wants to kill him for some reason or another,” you said. “You’re not the first.” Though there was something undeniably special about him. The fact he was still alive, for one. “I figure you’re a long way from that, so I’ll have a father for a few years more until you try to kill him again.”
There was something in the way you phrased your words that sounded so very ironic, and Zoro couldn’t suppress the light grunt from escaping his lips. It was dry, brittle—but closer to a laugh than a scoff, you could tell. “Is that your blessing?”
“Sure,” you said. “I, Dracule Mihawk’s daughter, hereby allow you, Roronoa Zoro, to murder my father in a duel.” The lightness in your tone dropped. “If you don’t mind me asking…” you took in a light breath, letting the taste of the words melt on your tongue before slipping them out. “Why do you want to, anyway? Defeat him, I mean?”
“I made a promise to someone a long time ago,” Zoro answered. His footsteps slowed as you reached your slip, the small sloop you’d sailed all the way to Loguetown calm as ever where it was moored. The black sails—vague, nondescript—sucked away all the light the moon attempted to cast on it, so it was even darker than the rest of the surroundings. “I told her I would become the world’s greatest swordsman.”
“That’s heavy,” you remarked, turning to face your companion. His skin was waxy and dull under the moonlight—aftereffects of the injury he still hadn’t fully recovered from. Zoro just shrugged.
“Maybe. It’s my life’s dream.”
“He’s a good father,” you said. “I think he’d like you.” You paused. “Well, he does. He wouldn’t have let you live if he didn’t.”
Zoro stiffened, the lines of his body tightening, spine pulling up just slightly. You noticed the change—you always did. Observation had always been one of your biggest strengths. Maybe you hadn’t gotten the golden irises your father had, but you had hawk eyes of your own in that way. Never missing a thing, picking out all flaws and details in a scene. “I’m not sure if I want him to like me.”
“He doesn’t feel hatred for a lot of people,” you said. “Just disdain. Though I’m fairly certain he’d have skewered that drunk at the bar earlier if he’d been with me.”
“The one who—” Zoro looked distinctly uncomfortable as he remembered what the pirate had offered you. He made a vague gesture instead, just mildly vulgar in motion. You suppressed a laugh.
“Exactly,” you agreed. “He doesn’t have patience for that sort of thing. He also feels no man who’s weaker than me in combat isn’t man enough to be with me, though I have questions about that particular rule.”
Zoro snorted. “You could definitely do better than the drunk pirate.”
“Right.” You glanced up at the moon, watching the steady silver glow of her face along the edge of the horizon. She was full, round and white, soft powder creasing the dents and shadows of her face. “I’m out for the night, then. Thank you for walking me.”
Zoro shrugged. He didn’t say anything, so you turned away, stepping onto your sloop without another word. You ducked into the interior room, closing the door firmly behind you so you could finally relax.
You had only a handful of hours of rest ahead of you, after all.
