I need someone to explain to me what the value of the Chuck Won theory is. Why would you want the ending to be worse?

i can't speak for anyone else but the reason EYE like it is because, for me, it actually makes the ending less bleak. if i take the finale as is—if i accept that chuck lost—it means that jack really did become god, that dean didn't look for a way to rescue cas, that dean died young and suicidal, that sam spent the rest of his life obsessed with his dead brother, that none of the family they found and they built and they fought for mattered, that cas was just resurrected off-screen and decided to never speak to the brothers again i guess? and if you don't take The Winchesters into account, it means that dean got to heaven, found out cas was still alive, and immediately decided to drive for like forty years just waiting for sam who he literally just saw. and that's it. that's all there is. how is that not the bleakest fucking tragedy ever?

but, if i assume that chuck won, it means the story isn't actually over. it means they're not done.

i know this is an unpopular opinion because people hate the idea of dean being sad but uhhhhhhhh to me dean dying in the finale is him giving up because he doesn't want to fucking do it anymore. he doesn't want to live without cas. and while that's wildly depressing, it is in-line with the dean i know. because the dean in the finale is either an imposter or a shell of a person who has neither purpose nor hope anymore.

but, if chuck won, the reason it seems like everything sucks is because it does suck. and that means there's still hope! they can beat chuck without losing every single other thing that matters. they can have jack back. they can rescue cas. they can keep their family. they have a shot at actually living.

i guess what i'm trying to say is that the reason Chuck Won truthing is so appealing to me is that it means the story isn't finished. dean is going to get the gay happily ever after he deserves. jack is going to get to go fishing with his dads. cas is going to hear that someone loves him. sam is going to get pegged. and eileen is going to fucking matter gdi

Qi Ye ensemble cast poster, second edition

Yet another one of those LOL Qi Ye just has that power over me. You know the drill; more info below!

I'll go straight to the point: my main reason to draw this was because I wanted to draw the most somber, dark-looking Helian Qi possible with some dark cross-hatching effect. And because I don't want to draw a Helian Qi solo image because who the HELL does that, I had to turn it into an ensemble cast thing again. I just REALLY like to do that for Qi Ye, for some reasons!!! For a general note, first: shading was a PAIN but making a nice composition and thinking about how to make a hierarchy that both works in terms of storytelling and visual composition was fun. I also liked finding out the "color scheme" to use and I do like lineart. So, now, little notes about each character, and the obligatory name poster just so I'm sure we all know whom I'm talking about:

Jing Beiyuan: I've mentioned it before but drawing Beiyuan is like. The easiest for me, I think, out of ALL Qi Ye/TYK characters combined. He happens to have my general goto "pretty face" (which conveniently has peach blossom eyes). I'm happy with how he turned out here! And got to put the sable around his neck which makes for a nice additional touch. Helian Yi: He's easy to draw as well and I'm glad with how the guan turned out. He initally looked sideways, but I liked it better having him wistfully stare into the distance. Helian Zhao: has the exact same face as in the other, coloured poster, and that cracks me up bc that wasn't even intentional. Helian Pei: GDI I find him so hilarious. He looks so done and out of it. Shout out to all his bird as well, which, I find, really complete the look. Helian Qi: I can't possibly say that I love him as an antagonist because there's nothing to love about this literal trash, but I'm still grateful that we got some of the most rancid stuff going on in Qi Ye just because of him and I'm always here for that. He deserves the villain visual treatment, at least. He was VERY fun to draw and I tried to push that nasty grin and shading as much as possible. He turned out exactly how I wanted him to! (the shading on his face and the balance of light and shadow was a bit of a challenge, actually)

Wuxi: Again, a rather easy one, always pleasant to draw! I loved working on his hair (but complained a lot while doing so)--which I think turned out nicely. Bai Wuchang: Finally! Finally I draw him!! He had to be there, since he's like. The base of the whole Qi Ye plot. Lining him was....... a pain, but at least it looks nice.

Su Qingluan: nothing much to say--I think it's always important to have her there in Qi Ye stuff, and I put her next to Helian Zhao because of how he tried using her--but it did make me feel bad for her when I realised that. Song Ping'an: The real star of the show, lowkey, but always alert and present. Feng Xiaoshu: FINALLY. PRINCESS JING'AN. I'm sorry I took so long to draw her. I want to work on a proper design, I swear. To make up for having completely forgotten to include her in the other spread. I'm so sorry. I like how her face turned out! Liang Jiuxiao: I never, ever, EVER get enough of drawing him. Have I mentioned how much I like him? How much of a great surprise he was reading Qi Ye? How many times I've wanted to high five because finally someone is as confused as I am? I love drawing this very specific smile on him, SO satisfying. Also Bichen said he was "THE Qi Ye antagonist" and I live for that LOL Zhou Zishu: do I really need to say anything atp Jiang Xue: I'm so sorry I put Xiao Xue next to ZZS. The cruelty. But she came out really cute didn't she T_T Anyway that's it. I'm still obsessed with Qi Ye and given my current (totally secret) retranslation project I'm nowhere near done going crazy about this book.

he's all dressed comfy and ready to spend the night with you at home. he grabs your hand in his bigger ones. he drags you to the living room, and there lay all sorts of your favourite snacks. he even built you a mini forte to lay under as you both watch a movie or play a game on the television.

" wow~ what's the occasion? " you teased as he huffs out in satisfaction. did he colour you impressed with his work?

" my, just doing something for my dear lover. I had to fight a blonde this afternoon when I heard despite giving you a rest day, you're drowning in idol works! so I finished mine earlier today and head home to spend time with you. don't push yourself, even if we're both in different agencies when you need help. I'll be here for you! I'll even secretly do some of your works if you let me. " you felt tears threatening to spill, what is wrong with your workaholic lover? despite being sweet and kind to you. he wants more work when he still has idol work to balance!

you pinch his cheek as you puff out your cheeks in an attempt to play angry at him. you love him to death and is forever grateful to him. he has painted your dull world in every shade of colour there is in existence. in response to your action, the man brought a hand to pinch you back in the cheek.

you let out a gasp before using your other hand as he does the same, too. the man stops his assault to your cheeks as he starts to tickle you on your stomach which then caught you off guard as you fall on your back and he towers over your figure to tickle you once more. soon the room was filled with laughter and joy of the two.

you grab his hands in yours, stopping the tickles and both laughter to die down. soon serious expression takes over you as ibara gulps silently.

" I love you so much, and I'm thankful for everything you've done for me. you've done so much for cospro and I have my share of work to do in starpro. please don't burden yourself with my plate. though if I ever need a hand, I know who to turn to. I want to be there for you too! especially when you need it so let me help you with your works if you ever need it. " he pats your head upon hearing your words.

I'm docking (very few) mental points for the ending because that felt weirdly rushed, but other than that? love it. I could've done without Yamato going back and forth on the boundary-respecting – I just don't like the "no no no yes" stereotype, and they had Kakeru play to that one too many times imo. but. I wish we could get rid of that trope, and I REALLY wanted Kakeru to initiate at least ONE kiss (or at least for us to get one that wasn't dead-fish-y on his part, I guess), but that's about it for complaints (and I know jdorama aren't big on kisses most of the time anyway).

i wanna get into working out or at least stretching or something but if i don't see results right Now i will not do it again :( i wanna become magically strong and have more stamina

anyway that leads to a question for you, as a fellow adhder. how did you start and manage to mantain working out?

ITS ONLY BEEN A FEW WEEKS DONT JINX ME i havent maintained crap yet... (if anything the reason im able to go so far is bc of leftover muscle from hiking everywhere in france this summer). but as someone whos been trying to start working out for 2+ years now this is how i finally got started:

first u gotta break it down into itty bitty little steps. decide what youre going to do. your brain will never get you in motion if all you know is that you need to do this nebulous thing called "working out." is it cardio? stretching? strength training? pilates? for me i decided on 40 minutes of running + 20 minutes of cooldown stretching. its ok if you're unsure bc this can always change later ofc.

next figure out Where u can do this and how to get the resources. do you have space at home? do you need a to go to a local gym for certain equipment? do you need weights? youtube video guidance? a yoga mat? workout clothes? etc. list all of this down very deliberately. even if it feels obvious! it helps frame it to yourself as if you are just considering it. ie. if I was going to work out, how would i do it? not. i am Going To Work Out and Therefore I Need This Stuff Immediately. that will just overwhelm you.

this will give you a roadmap to sidestep all the little places we get Stuck when we're trying to do something. for example, i've had moments in the past where i was suddenly struck by motivation and decided to go workout immediately, but then my dri-fit shirts were all in the laundry and i didn't want to wear anything else to get sweaty, so I just. stalled and never ended up going. but this way, I knew beforehand to keep my dri-fit shirts aside, so they were ready when I wanted them. prepping helps get these obstacles out of your way before you start trying.

routine. routine routine routine!!! i am slowly learning that the magic of Getting Stuff Done is like 10% actual motivation and 90% just making it a regular habit. plan this into your schedule like it's rocket science. for example, mine looks like this. 12:00 PM: get out of class 12 - 12:30 go home 12:30 - 1 eat lunch (pre-prepped, because Food Is Hard) 1 - 1:30 scheduled zoom meeting 1:30 - 2 change into workout clothes and go to the gym 2 - 2:40 treadmill workout 2:40 - 3 stretching 3 - 3:30 go home 3:30 - 4 shower this won't always happen beat for beat, but that doesn't matter. it just needs to be a guideline that makes it feel doable.

make sure you put the workout at a time where you'll actually feel up to doing it. you can say you want to get up at 6AM and go workout all you want but when the time comes if you just lay in bed it won't happen. be realistic about what you can accomplish or you'll just beat yourself up over not doing it.

go easy on yourself. there are no deadlines for this and if you push too hard too fast you'll burn out or injure yourself and it'll be even harder to get back into it. make your goals as small as they need to be! 10 minutes of stretching is way more approachable than a full hour of working out, so if that's where you start, that's totally fine! i started with a five minute ab workout video like. once a week. the most important part is doing just what you can rather than what you want to but can't.

ending here before i get too preachy. i sound exactly like my adhd coach gdi. but this is what seems to work for me!! i hope it helps you <33 also if anyone has tips they want to add feel free!

As usual, my current WIP list is far too long, and sitting down to write is never easier when you're locked in indecision. So I'm dumping a current-WIPs-summary here, for anyone who might be curious and/or who might want to try and nudge me toward whichever of these they'd most like to read.

Anyone remember that ficlet about Ethan's not-so-latent monsterfucker-tendencies that I promised was getting a continuation? Well, the finished version is back from the beta, just a few final edits away from posting (though be warned: boy does this one go places)

Post-RE7 Ethan/Mia fic where Mia actually gets to come clean (which probably no-one is hardly going to read but gdi if no-one else is going to write me the elaborate Mia-backstory of my dreams I will damn well do it myself)

The one where Ethan and Heisenberg get sex-pollened by the mould (mostly done, just needs, y'know, the actual sex part)

Next chapter of Lords and Lattes (the whole thing is planned out I swear I just have to actually write it)

Kind of pseudo-continuation of One More Happy Ending. I wasn't going to write more of this one, but the idea of a scene where Ethan accepts Heisenberg's deal and then runs into Chris, where Heisenberg gets to be all "too bad, Redfield, he's on Team Heisenberg now!" and Ethan gets to be all OMG STFU, I hate BOTH of you so much rn, WTF STOP TRYING TO KILL EACH OTHER- has really got its teeth into me.

Just, give these flowers to Eros, okay? I didn't know what he liked, so I got a bunch of different ones - some sunflowers, hibicus, and tulips in different colors and some coffee candy, for when he wakes up and gets better. It's probably not as good as the real thing, but easier to sneak in than an actual coffee cup.

And..Cupid. For you too. Here's a bento and some bread from the bakery, along with a few other giftcards to some grocery stores and stores. I take it you haven't really been sleeping or eating well after everything. And I figure this could help somewhat. One less thing to worry about. And don't worry, this is no strings attached. It's never easy to deal with something like this.. I hope it helps.

I lament that I cannot do more to help, but just know if you need to talk or need a friend to go on an errand with, I'll listen.

The soft beeping of the monitor echoed as Cupid stayed beside Eros. From the looks of things, they look so... Worn. Their previous joyous attitude had been robbed of nothing, and their eye bags were evident than the weeks without you seeing them.

It wasn't that bad before... Maybe they masked it with makeup, so you wouldn't see just how tired they are.

Holding Eros's hand, their eyes looked over at the flowers. They always admired Eros for what she's done, even when people seem to criticize her. So now that she's in danger...

"... I haven't left them ever since they were in recovery."

The doctors tried. They genuinely tried. However, Cupid was inconsolable. How could they? It was their friend that had their life on the line— obviously that wasn't an option.

"I didn't want to spend an hour without them— I fear that if I did, they'd wind up dead without my supervision," they explained to you, their voice weak as they held onto their unconscious friend. "It's... An irrational fear. I've always feared it happening, especially those dreams I've been getting."

Their trips with the hypnotist didn't help. Not in the slightest. If anything, it felt like it got worse— even to the point of being unable to sleep for days.

"I'm sorry you have to see me like this," they told you, holding back the urge to cry for the umpteenth time. "It's just... So much has happened from the weeks we spent working. My boss was being strict with what he wanted us to do for Valentine's, I couldn't go here for weeks... And this had to— it had to happen at the day I could even get access again."

They were struggling to not cry. It was clear with how they're blinking so much, even when you've left them gifts so they can eat and... Be able to care for themselves.

"... I'm tired. I'm exhausted for working over Celestia Inc.," they admitted. "I... Can't handle this. I can't handle losing a friend."

Ah, it seems you broke the dam. Though, they didn't seem to notice with how they're sobbing, trying to wipe their tears with the tissue that the nurses were kind to give to them.

Loss was never something they can handle. They could handle everything, but that is what they're so... Terrified of. That losing a friend is the thing that could make them grieve.

It, ironically, shows that even they have their limits.

"I— we— don't want to break our promise to you guys. I promised Eros that— that I'd resign when I'm done, that we will finally be able to leave with nothing attaching us to this sick company," they sobbed, their hand gripping on the tissue. "And yet— yet, they had to get hurt. Someone had it out to kill my friend!"

...

"I want this to stop... We want this to stop."

But we can't. Not anymore.

Unbeknownst to them, you see one of the hibiscus flowers lose a petal.

Even positivity can never reach a heart that's too deep in sorrow.
