Ratatouille would have been a better and potentially much more interesting story if Remy had partnered with Collette instead of Linguini. Two underdogs with talent and passion forced to maintain a dangerous ruse. Fiercely independent Collette giving up temporary control of her body to a creature who, despite the insanity of a rat wanting to cook professionally, she can relate to on a personal level and who she does want to teach. The inner conflict of wondering if Remy’s growing talents are eclipsing her own, if the praise their food is earning belongs more to him than to her. Her guilt over feeling resentment and jealousy towards this little guy who wouldn’t have a hope of realizing his talents if not for her trust and protection. Both of them unraveling the mystery of that sweet but bumbling kitchen boy with the obvious crush on Collette being Gusteau’s secret son, and working together to thwart the new evil owner’s plans to stop Linguini from claiming his birthright. The message of the movie not being this weird, almost smug “some people are born with talent, some people aren’t, and that’s how being a ~great artist~ works”, but something more like, “if you have a dream, you deserve to pursue it, and be supported and encouraged in your pursuit of it, even if other people tell you that, because of some intrinsic aspect of yourself or the circumstances you were born in (like being a human woman in the restaurant industry, or being a literal rat), you have no place pursuing this dream. was talking to @eastbluesaga about how buggy dresses and acts more like roger, and how shanks dresses and acts more like rayleigh. the parallels are so good! especially considering buggy's getting pushed into the limelight now as the series ends, and how shanks has been making moves more in the background like a dark horse (or a dark king, perhaps?) this entire time.

like, you'd want to compare shanks to roger at first, especially considering the straw hat legacy, but shanks seems to be aware that it's more his role to facilitate than to be in the light himself--a similar role i assume rayleigh took as first mate of the pirate king. conversely, buggy's being quickly propelled into an advantageous position that spotlights him as important--a key figure in all things, surprisingly like a king, even tho he never quite believed he could have that for himself (and then hid in the east blue, where his captain was born!!!).

Turns out the Fentons decides to test a Prototype Ghost Portal one day 18 years ago and accidentally made a Time Portal instead. Deeming the experiment a Failure, they were just about to close it and start again when a Baby was launched out of it and into Jack's arms.

The moment he looked into her Eyes he knew he wanted to keep her. Maddie was much the same.

They did Try to return her at first, but turns out the Portal was Unstable and constantly shifting between dozens of different TimeZones, so they could never find where/when she came from. She could either be from Earth 18 years later, or Mars 5 Million Years Ago. No way to tell.

So without any other option they decided that she was their Daughter now.

It helped that she looked so much like them, and that both had been in the Lab for 9 Months straight building the Portal so nobody would question the sudden Baby. They just told the Hospital they had an At Home Delivery and officially made her their Daughter.

They raised her believing that she was their's Biologically, because after a while they honestly forgot she wasn't.

Now Jazz is working as an Intern at Arkham Asylum, and has met the 2 Patients she will be helping take care of.

Doctor Pamela Isley, and Doctor Harleen Quinzel. Aka, Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn.

This should be an interesting internship.

I like to imagine that after Alya loses her miraculous, she goes full investigation and detective, doing all she can to figure out what Hawmoth, Mayura, and Volpnia (and eventually Madame Morphosis and Argos) are planning and where they could be operating from (since she can't really figure out their identities),

What if since alya loses the fox miraculous, she feels like she failed LB and her team. But she won’t just crawl into a hole and feel sorry for herself. She’s still going to do everything she can to help LB, even if she doesn’t have a miraculous anymore. Alya does this through increasing awareness about Hawkmoth’s influence over Paris!!

Maybe she transforms her already popular Ladyblog into an Anti-Hawkmoth platform. She links mental health resources, interviews conducted by her with victims of Hawkmoth, ways to identify an akuma butterfly, etc.!

This would really help LB because if there are less akumas being created, she can have time to recover from unification. And it would be harder for Madame Morphosis in Season 3 to find people to akumatize, but as an unexpected drawback, the ones she does create are extremely powerful because the victims were too emotional to resist.

I didn’t really think of her role after losing the fox miraculous and this is kinda perfect bc I love her so much!!
