Case Study: Client TE – TPA engineering plastics injection molding process

Client Background: TE is a leading provider of electronic components and solutions for a wide range of industries. They were looking for a reliable supplier to produce TPA connectors with a high-quality engineering plastics injection molding process.

Product Description: The TPA connector is a small electronic component made of PA66-GF15 (Ultramid® A3EG3) material. The client needed a supplier who could produce the connectors with consistent quality, using an engineering plastics injection molding process.

Challenges: TE faced several challenges during the initial stages of the project, which included:

The head of the block thimble was easily broken due to the sliding and rubbing of the top of the spherical surface of the PIN during mold closure. The product had issues with burnt and lack of material due to unbalanced injection pressure and weak printing strength. The gate setting was difficult due to the small size of the product and the presence of sliders on four sides. Solutions: The supplier worked closely with TE to address the challenges and provide solutions that met their requirements.

TPA Engineering Plastics injection molding process

The solutions included:

Designing a roller mechanism for the head of the block thimble to avoid deformation and breakage due to rubbing and sliding during mold closure. Implementing a graft printing process and adding process holes and inserts on both sides of the product to increase support and address the burnt and lack of material issues. Changing the hot runner to the cold runner and placing the cold runner on the slider. The injection process involved injecting glue into the front mold and burying the push rod and spring under the slider to address the gate setting issues. Results: With the solutions provided by the supplier, TE was able to successfully produce TPA connectors with high-quality engineering plastics through the engineering plastics injection molding process. The product was consistent in terms of quality, and the solutions implemented by the supplier addressed the initial challenges faced by TE. The project was completed on time and within budget, and TE was satisfied with the results.

In conclusion, TE was able to overcome the challenges in the TPA connector injection molding process by working closely with a reliable supplier with extensive experience in engineering plastics injection molding. As a result, the TPA connectors produced were of high quality and consistency, meeting TE’s requirements and expectations. The successful completion of the project demonstrates the importance of collaboration and expertise in Thermoplastics Precision Molded.

Nylon 66 PA66 in Anmei

Prior to blending, PA6 was dried at 130°C for 3 h to remove most of the absorbed humidity. The composites were prepared by a Coperion twin-screw extruder. The temperature profiles of the barrel were 240-270°C for both the cylinder and the nozzle.

Prior to blending, PA6 was dried at 130°C for 3 h to remove most of the absorbed humidity. The composites were prepared by a Coperion twin-screw extruder. The temperature profiles of the barrel were 240-270°C for both the cylinder and the nozzle. The extrudate in the form of a cylindrical rod was subsequently cooled down in the water and then pelletized. The first part of the extrudate was discarded because impurities should be flushed out of the system to ensure product quality. The following steps are sample testing, weighing, labeling and packaging.

PA66 is the most widely used material in the Nylon family. PA66 and its modified products have been widely used in friction-resistant and abrasion-resistant mechanical parts such as friction discs and gear rotating devices of locomotives. Compared with Nylon 6, Nylon 66 has a higher melting point, excellent heat resistance, higher elastic modulus, and lower water absorption. Its performance as a molded product is better than PA6 because of its good heat resistance and oil resistance, which is suitable for the production of mechanical parts around automobile engines and parts of electronic and electrical products that are easily heated.

#GF15 -- Meet the 17 New Grande Fratello 15 Housemates

A New Season of Grande Fratello Started a Few Days ago on April 17,2018. I know this post is Late but I was very Busy watching Big Brother Brasil and Big Brother Canada. In Any Case here we have the Housemates who are now Living inside the Big Brother Italy -aka- Grande Fratello House.

As of this Writing 2 Housemates have already been Evicted - Simone P. and Valerio . Also they received a New Housemate from Spain who is Famous for her Crazy, Self absorbed, Narcissistic yet Professional Pot Stirring Drama Queen abilities and her name is Aida Nizar. She was a Housemate Twice in Spain’s Big Brother Show -aka- the Gran Hermano. She was Evicted week one in GH5 and was Evicted Twice on GHVIP5. Kicked out the 1st time was voted back into the House then kicked out again a few weeks later all because of her Chaotic attitude and behavior inside the GH House. She ends up rubbing everyone the wrong way quickly. She takes info and uses it against the Housemates pitting them against each other - Hence the Pot Stirring Skills she has. Which should be interesting yet annoying in this  Big Brother Show. How Long she will Last will also be Interesting cause she is not easy to Live with and the Housemates will get Tired of her quick if she decides to play like she did in Gran Hermano.  Also despite causing alot of Drama which is Normally Good for TV and which the Public usually likes to see - they too could have their Limits tested and reached pretty Fast and want her Gone as quickly as Possible. LOL  Lets see how Aida decides to Play the game this time but the odds are in Favor she will go back to her old tricks yet again.  Stay Tuned! 😆
