LOYALTY BUILT FROM LOVE
"I will always be by your side."

genre/s: fluff, mystery, storytelling in the third perspective (s1, s2)
warning/s: she/her, swearing, ambiguous/not direct ending

masterlist ; times senku talked about you (part 2)
a/n: i've been wanting to do something similar to my bakugo fanfic, "Indebted to you" for a while now, and i finally thought of one.
also woah, i posted... revolutionary!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
ever since senku arrived at the newfound kingdom of science, he's always had someone next to him
that someone is you
you are never too far from senku
and senku is never too far away from you
when kohaku met senku under that log, that's when she saw you the first time
at first she didn't question it, thinking that you might've just not been there when she saw the fight, but after observing you and senku
she then changed her mind and thought it was strange that she didn't see you
the way the two of you worked together was mesmerizing; efficiently done in silence
she could see that the two of you have some sort of special relationship with that silent communication
you reminded her of her sister; almost princess like with the way you carry your knowledge and demeanor
that impression quickly changed when you flipped ginro and kinro to the ground when they tried to attack senku
it happened so fast that you were just a blur in the corner of her eye! you were faster than her and you took them both out with a single hand
at that moment she knew not to cross senku
she wasn't even sure if she could defeat you
she almost pities the long-haired man
when gen appeared, you didn't recognize him, but he had recognized you
of course he did
everyone in japan knows who you are and anyone who doesn't is living under a rock
he was confused on why a person of your caliber is acting like a servant
maybe for survival, but he's sure that you'd be able to survive on your own
but then he started observing the two of you and this master-servant relationship seemed normal on both end
it made him curious on just what exactly your relationship with senku is
his curiosity skyrocketed after he overheard a conversation between you and senku
gen stood at the bottom of the hut after you and senku climbed up. he was lucky enough that you didn't spot him (well, that's what he thinks).
"so," senku spoke. "do you know him?" then asked. there was a pause. gen thinks you might've gave a non-verbal answer. senku chuckles. "of course, i didn't think you would. he's just some tv show mentalist."
gen rolled his eyes at that, but agrees with what senku said. it would be very shocking to hear that you know of him. "so he's a psychologist?" the first words he heard from you.
"yeah," answered senku. "he wrote these magazines that some of the club talked about some times. it would have questions like "if you could only save one, would you rather save your mother or your partner?" how illogical is that?" he scoffs.
this time you chuckled at him. "but senku," you interrupted. "you do understand just how useful he is, right?" gen felt a chill run up his spine as his whole body tensed up. your light tone immediately changed to a more penetrating one. it almost feels like you're reminding senku of your authority.
"yeah, yeah, i know, and don't use that tone on me. you know that shit don't work," senku replies, dismissing your tone like it was nothing! and to which you giggled at in a playful manner. "so, your assessment of him?" he then asked.
"gen is like a stray cat; give him something to eat and he'll stay," you answered with smooth confidence. "sooner or later he'll ask you for something in exchange for his loyalty." you let out a chuckle. "isn't that right, gen?"
he quickly walked away and didn't look back
maybe you were the one to plant the seed in him
maybe it was senku with his fast-paced bringing back the modern world (and his charisma)
or maybe it was the both of you
but whatever it was, in the end you were right
gen became an important member of the the kingdom of science
although he still wants answers about the two of you
there's two stories that ruri likes out of all hundred tales
she loves sharing them the most
after all, it's the only two love stories from it
number ninety-eight: loyalty built from love there was once a girl who had everything everything but happiness the people around her always worshipped her like a god it made her feel lonely and dull but then she met a boy a boy who knew of everything everything except who she is she talked to him... she argued against him... she laughed alongside him she made him smile.... they were friends they were inseparable but then she felt love he didn't like love she was afraid he became distant she sought after him he stopped seeing her she went to him it was silent then she talked... then he shouted... then they confessed they were in love her love shined through the things she did for him loyalty knows no bounds when you're in love
number ninety-nine: learning to love there was once a boy who found everything interesting everything except love he thought it was illogical and he didn't want to feel it but then he met a girl a girl who can do everything everything except how to feel he talked to her... he fought her... he laughed with her... he smiled at her they were friends they were inseparable he felt different with her he didn't know what it was it scared him he tried to push her away she stayed he ignored her she confronted him it was silent then she spoke... then he screamed... then they confessed they were in love his love was seen from the way he treated her love wasn't so illogical than he thought he did
there was no names mentioned in the two love stories
ruri wished the founder of the village had included the names
maybe it did but was forgotten through time
kohaku didn't really care about her own romances
but if it's other's?
then that's when she's interested
she could never forget the scene she saw between you and senku after the grad bout ended
the placed turned quiet as the realization seeped in. the winner of the grand bout is senku which means... "the new village chief and the husband of the priestess is the winner of the grand bout, senku!"
"well, this is a pain in the ass," senku says as he stuck his pinky into his ear. "so i just have to marry ruri and the whole village is mine, right?" he approached ruri. "i'll do it then."
from the corner of kohaku's eye, she saw you hurriedly walk away with a tightly closed fist. you're actually walking away without senku. that's the first time she ever saw you go away from senku.
she turned back to senku who's staring at your retreating figure. he turned his head back and demanded, "wine! bring me wine!" then after that, it all happened so quickly. senku divorced her sister, took the wine, and ran back to the kingdom of science, dragging kaseki with him.
once they arrived, senku left towards the laboratory where you were, gathering the materials to make the sulfa drug. kohaku watched as you ignored senku. he reached up and flicked your forehead. the two of you talked, rather fast paced with how fast the two of you exchanged words.
senku gently reached out for you hand, bringing it up to his lay on his cheek. he turned his head and kissed your palm.
kohaku's eyes widen in shock.
it looked like you laughed and tackled him into a hug that almost caused you both to fall. you stepped back as you brought your hands up to cup his face. you spoke a few words, then brought your face down to his forehead, giving it a gentle yet light kiss.
kohaku's jaw slacked in shock.
she remembered being flustered, shocked, and confused from the sudden public display of affection the two of you showed
it changed the way she sees the two of you
she always thought that you were like a bodyguard for senku, but also good friends
but if that's how you two always act when you think no one's watching?
maybe the two of you aren't just friends
at first, homura went around spreading the fire to the village
then all she saw was black the next
when hyoga revealed that he was just a distraction, the fire wasn't as big as he planned it to be
in fact, he never planned for homura to be carried in bridal style by someone he didn't expect
did senku revive you? why would he revive you? wait, how did he even find you? your place is no where near where they are right now
it doesn't make any sense
but for now, he'll retreat
he'll surely be beaten by you in mere minutes
chrome admires you and senku, everyone could see that
senku taught him many things about being a sciencer and you'd teach him "life skills"
the two of you work so well together
there are times wherein he watches you and senku work in the lab and it would always leave him in awe
how can the two of you work that well and that fast without any talking?!
are you also a science user like him?
but senku said you weren't so that made him slightly confused
it became even more confusing when he saw you beat kohaku in a spar for the grand bout
just who are you?
and why are you so good at everything?
it reminds him of something but he can't remember what exactly
then he saw something between you and senku that he can't help but make assumptions from
senku turned away from the group after experimenting with the bamboo filaments. "damn it," he cursed out. "bamboo filaments are just fundamentally too weak for vacuum tubes." your shoulders dropped as you looked at senku in worry.
"i don't get science, but bamboo is too weak, is that right?" kohaku spoke up.
"what do we need?" chrome asked with desperation. "if we need something tougher, i'll go find it!"
"no..." senku turned around, showing his pained expression. "there's nothing better in this age."
kohaku and chrome gathered the baskets of rocks that he collected and placed them out in the open for anyone to look through. from the news that senku needed something other than bamboo, the villagers who were still awake gathered at the kingdom of science to help.
chrome turned to call for senku, but he hesitated.
you stood next to senku and gently placed a hand on his shoulder. he turned to you with eyes that chrome can't explain as he placed his hand on top of yours. you brought your other hand and took hold of his hand that was on top of your other one. you guided his hand to the side of your lips and placed a kiss on his palm.
chrome's bulged out of his sockets in shock. his face feeling a bit flustered.
you slowly went down his arm, leaving a trail of kisses. you stopped at his inner elbow and turned to his face. chrome thought you were going to kiss senku, but instead you left a peck on his cheek. you spoke a few words to him and he let out a small smile.
chrome knows that smile
it's the smile that he only gives to you
he never understood why that smile felt different from all the other smiles and smirks senku gives
but from what he just witnessed
maybe the two of you hold a special bond that he should've noticed sooner
it was senku's birthday
the entire village gathered at the kingdom of science
ruri stared at you from afar
you watched as senku was guided towards the newly built watch tower (observatory)
it was the first time she'd seen you not go after senku
after all, the two of you were inseparable
it reminds her about the two love stories from the hundred tales
you started walking away from her line of vision. ruri watched as you walked towards the watch tower as the main group of the kingdom of science left. she could see senku climbing down as well, then approached you. you immediately took his hand in yours and placed the other on his cheek. you spoke a few words then leaned down, giving him a tender yet short kiss on the lips.
on the lips.
on the lips.
AND HE DIDN'T PUSH YOU AWAY!111!1!!!
ruri doesn't remember what happened after that
she was too flustered over the sudden public display of affections the two of you shared that it was the only thing stuck in her head for a while
although, she now hopes that her two favorite stories were based off of the relationship you and senku hold with each other
if only
the first time kohaku, well, anyone, saw you cry was when senku's father relayed a message to you (instead of his own son)
"senku, it's you, isn't it?"
"—nah, you don't need that dramatic father-and-son crap, do you?" senku cackled from that. "but y/n better be there standing next to you like she always is." it was the first mention of you from the record. "i know rebuilding japan will be your priority, y/n, but i also know that you'll stay by senku's side to rebuild the world. take care of him for me, y/n!"
from the corner of kohaku's eye, she saw you raising your hands up to your face, covering it. she saw senku move his arm that lays on your lower back. it looks like he's comforting you.
something then happened that kohaku can never forget
it'll be embedded in her head for so long
kohaku walked towards senku about to call him out, but stopped mid walk. senku stood next to you; both of your backs facing her. he turned his head to look at you. you turned your head to look at him. a few words were exchanged. he raised his hand and gently held your chin. he pulled you towards him and gave a short peck, but then you took hold of his collar and smashed your lips back onto his.
...
kohaku paused for a second. "senku!" then decided to just call the scientist out and continued with what she was going to tell senku either way.
Tumblr media
gen was about to go up the observatory when he heard you and senku having a talk
"hey, senku, how would you feel if i..." your question trailed off, hinting at something that seemed like only you and senku know about, or you did something non-verbal.
there was a pause; senku probably thinking over his reply. "but i thought you like playing this game?"
they were playing a game? at this time? gen thought to himself, confused.
"of course i do; it amuses me. this game can only be played a few times after all. i'm only asking because i thought it'd be my turn to do it," you clarified which didn't really make any sense to gen at all. what you said got rid of the image that you two are playing game. just what the hell are you two talking about up there?
there was another pause. "just come up already. what do you want?" it was senku calling him.
kohaku was never afraid of you
why would she be?
you're no enemy
"senku, let me make something clear," kohaku called out. "homura's movements are exceptional."
"gymnastics," says senku. "it's a skill that doesn't exist in your age. y/n can do them too." he jerked his head to your direction you.
"we won't be able to capture her unharmed, but i could behead her with my sword. am i free to kill her?" a serious question kohaku dropped. yours and senku's eyes narrowed at her.
"kohaku, have you ever killed a human being?" you asked kohaku, now standing in front of her. kohaku opened her mouth, but you raised your hand up. "of course you haven't—i know that—and you'll hesitate when the time comes, but, please, kohaku," you called her name with a shaky tone and a hint of guilt that she never heard from you. "never offer yourself to kill another human being. you need to keep that morality with you, it's what makes a person human."
kohaku understood what you said
but she was left with questions that hung in the air, afraid to be asked
were you surrounded by death through killing?
or were you the one killing?
she really wouldn't dare ask
gen knows just how formidable the people around tsukasa are
but the thing is the kingdom of science has you
and he kind of wants to brag about that
"i'm sure you guys know how strong tsukasa is, but it's not just him. the people around him are formidable as well," says nikki through the phone. she then revealed another of tsukasa's allies being someone of great hearing.
"ukyo?" senku asks, turning to gen.
"he was a sonar operator on a submarine," explained gen. "he's got insanely good hearing. that's why tsukasa woke him up."
"good hearing you say?" you piped up. "what a useful thing in certain situations. what are the chances we could get him to our side?" you asked senku with a carefree grin to which he just fondly smiles at.
it was then gen realized something after your comment. "y/n-chan, is it true that your family are...?" he trailed off, not sure how to ask and afraid that you'd be offended from him bringing up rumors about your family.
you understood what he was asking, but all you did was chuckle making senku sigh. gen smartly decided not to push any further. he also took your ominous chuckle as confirmation.
"wait," called nikki. "y/n?"
gen smirked. "yes, nikki! we have the l/n y/n on our side! tsukasa and his army may be formidable, but we have the most formidable on our side," he boasted proudly. "as everyone in japan knows, no one can ever beat a member of the l/n family."
you smiled knowingly, feeling a sense of control and pride at gen's comment making senku sigh once more. "can we stop feeding her ego?" he comments
"y/n!" screamed taiju, both as a calling out and a greeting. "are you taking care of senku?!"
"i am perfectly capable of taking care of myself," commented senku with a deadpan.
you howled out a laughter. "of course i am taiju. are you taking care of yuzuriha?" you asked back.
"yes i am!" he answered confidently to which you laughed fondly at.
gen's plan was to just brag about you
but he was not expecting to get something interesting out of this
he thought yuzuriha and taiju didn't know about you
but they do
which just brings him more questions than answers, honestly
when could they have met you?
actually now that he thinks about it, when did senku meet you?
when magma came back after escaping the hands of ukyo, he also relayed the message that chrome got abducted
kohaku immediately wanted to barge in and take chrome back
and she could never forget the humbling moment of when you instantly stopped her
"chrome's been captured by the tsukasa empire!" exclaimed suika in a fits of worry and panic.
"well, what's the plan, twig?" demanded magma towards senku.
a serious look on the scientist's face as you straightened your posture up, standing next to him. kohaku frowned then ran off with her sword in hand.
"kohaku?!" screamed ruri. "she's not going to help him by herself, is she?"
"she's so quick to act," commented kaseki.
"stop kohaku!" kokuyo commanded, pointing in the directed his daughter took off.
ginro looked at the former village chief in aghast. "but how?! there's no one in this village who can catch up to kohaku-chan!"
oh but there is someone.
"y/n." with one simple call from senku, you had already appeared in front of kohaku, disarmed her of her sword, and pushed her against the ground.
all in three seconds.
she was right from the start
she could never beat you
it really is a good thing you're on their side
of all the people he'd expect to be on the other side of this stone world call
he never would have expected you
in fact, ukyo never expected to to talk to you at all
but here he is
being reassured by you, of all people
"—if you promise to produce zero casualties, i'll cooperate with you. but if you kill even one person..."
senku starts cackling at his request. "sounds great! i'm in." gen shrieks at this. "no problem. we've said—" senku turned around to see your hand on his shoulder. he immediately moved away for you to stand in front of the microphone.
"i do not know what kind of person you are, ukyo, but you are naive to think that a war would not have any bloodshed." he freezes. he knows that voice... he knows it too well. everyone in japan knows it too well. "however, i know how senku is. i know that his plan from the beginning were to have zero casualties, and if that's the plan, then i assure you that there will be no bloodshed at all."
"that's gonna be a pretty tough battle!" exclaimed gen after your declaration.
ukyo believed you
he believed you immediately
he had no reason to doubt you... or senku
especially when you supported him that confidently
he feels relieved to know that you're not on tsukasa's side
if you were
then the ground would've been red
tsukasa never expected there to be a phone in the grave of senku
he never expected for some of his allies to turn against him
he also didn't believe hyoga when he said you were revived
but maybe he should've believed him
but at the same time, what good would it be if he had believed hyoga?
tsukasa is sure that no one can beat you
not even the strongest high school primate
"i can save everyone with this paper airplane dynamite," says senku as the nitroglycerin covered airplane exploded upon impact at a tree.
"what the hell was that?!" stammered ginro.
"anyone caught in that would be gone without a trace," commented kinro.
kohaku stared in awe at the leftover the explosion made, then smirked smugly. "human strength is laughable in comparison to the power of science."
senku laughs. "we made it just in time. you held out well, battle team."
"the kingdom of science has just completed dynamite! it has the power of ten billion megaton joules," gen boldly gave out a lie. senku glanced at him calling out for his bold ass lie to which gen defended that senku sucks at negotiating.
"whether i parry it or smack it down, it'll explode. there's no way to dodge a large blast." tsukasa hums. "yes, it's true that we're out of moves, but that would surely cause collateral damage and kill many people. senku, you're incapable of abandoning people. you would never sacrifice yourself either."
"well, well, it looks like we're both stuck. this isn't a victory; it's a stalemate," says senku. "in your eyes anyways." he moved forward and held onto another nitroglycerin covered airplane. "did you know nitroglycerin is y/n's favorite?"
tsukasa froze at the sudden information drop. so it was true? of all the people, why would you be on senku's side? in fact, why were you at this side of the country at all when the petrification happened?
"y/n, no bloodshed remember?"
tsukasa looked behind him to see you standing there with a knife against his throat. he didn't even hear you nor sensed your presence. is this the power you hold as a member of the l/n family? "are you going to take revenge, senku?" he asked.
"no, of course not," senku deadpans. "let's negotiate, tsukasa."
throughout the entire negotiation, you did not move one bit away from his neck
tsuksa knew of your abilities, but seeing it in person was a different experience
he had one question for you though
why do you let senku command you like that?
"what reason do i have to believe you?" he asked senku.
"all you have is my word. i don't lie when it comes to science," answered senku, cooly. "is that not enough?" tsukasa heard you softly squeal at the sight of senku. does senku really have you wrapped around his finger that quickly? no, that wouldn't make any sense. unless the two of you share some history together?
"no, that's plenty."
this would be chrome's first time watching someone get revived from petrification
instead, before that could happen, he revealed some information that he thought was common knowledge
it wasn't
as senku was about to pour the revival fluid, taiju stopped him. "wait senku! mirai-chan's naked," exclaimed taiju as he poked senku's eyes. "no! you can't revive her now!"
senku writhed on the ground in pain, covering his eyes. "here we go again with your absurd nonsense," he managed to let out. "we're in an emergency, in the stone world! who cares if you're buck naked or if your peepee's showing?" he raised his hand up, rubbing his eye to soothe the pain, then removed them showing his teary eyes. "you really like this plot twist, don't you? we'll figure it out once she wakes up—"
"but if it's y/n, would you be okay with it?" senku snapped his mouth shut at taiju's rebuttal. he turned over to you, who's standing next to him, to see a smirk growing on your face. he could already feel the headache coming from this small tease.
you raised your hand and casually revealed, "actually he revived me naked, so..." heads turned to senku who flinched at the sudden movement, all of them looking shocked (sans kohaku, she's actually mad).
"senku!" kohaku roared, drawing her dagger out.
"what's wrong with that?" asked chrome, breaking the tension. kohaku turned her head to glare at chrome who flinched at that hostility.
"chrome-chan, it's bad manners to see someone naked without their consent," informed gen, treating chrome as if he was an innocent child.
"no, i know that!" exclaimed chrome. "but they bathe together, so they see each other naked all the time," he then revealed. heads turned once again to senku, but this time to you as well to which senku sighs and you laugh at.
"and just how do you know that, chrome?" senku asks, then lets out a disgusted face. "don't tell me..."
"no!" denied chrome immediately. "i notice you guys heading towards the springs together a lot and y/n would be carrying a bamboo basket of like these cases and i also saw soap in it, so i assumed that you two would be taking a bath... together." he then realized the implications of what he revealed and turned red.
god bless yuzuriha on making a set of clothes for mirai, breaking the tension.
many things were revealed that night
under the curtesy of chrome
he never thought too deeply about the things he know, but saying it out loud made him realize some things
it made gen and tsuka understand just what of relationship you hold with senku as well (kind of)
and so the question changes
how did you and senku get to that point?
"senku..." chrome called out. "we're missing some dynamite," he shared with a serious tone.
upon hearing that you quickly scanned the area and noticed who are missing, and bolted off. a few minutes later, an explosion rang out, then you heard gen screaming out to the villagers to hurry up.
you snuck up on hyoga, bloodlust accidentally slipping which made him dodge, but barely. a line of blood forming across the back of his shoulder blades. he raised his spear and instead of aiming it at you, he aimed it at mirai. you moved forward, blocking the attack on hitting her. the spear pierced through you, but not as deep as hyoga wanted since you were able to stop it by holding onto it.
"so you're not impenetrable," he mused.
"go fuck yourself," you spat.
you broke the spear in half then pushed it through you, popping it out from the back. you spun around, catching the bloodied half of the spear, then turned right back around, using the momentum to throw it towards hyoga.
"get out of there! tsukasa! mirai!" you heard senku cry out from the distance. "y/n!" then you heard him let out this blood curdling scream.
you lost balance from the powerful throw causing you to slip and fall. tsukasa ran over. hyoga blocked the spear with the other half of it. tsukasa managed to catch you, holding onto your wrist. hyoga quickly picked up the bloodied upper half of the spear and aimed it at tsukasa. you swung yourself forward, your feet flat against the mountain wall and pushed yourself off, pulling tsukasa down with you. hyoga missed his stab, grazing the side of his torso instead. the sudden pull made mirai slip from the edge, but luckily senku caught up and pulled her away from the edge. however, hyoga then kicked senku off the mountain to which he jumped down afterwards.
senku's hands trembled as he held the wound, putting pressure on it. you could feel his fright against your skin, in fact, you're just as frightful as he is. the both of you can't lose each other. he can't lose you; and you don't wanna leave him. tsukasa kept himself busy as he fought against hyoga, but anyone with eyes could see that tsukasa is affected by the cut.
"you need to work with him, senku, i can survive for a few minutes," you managed to tell him as you reached towards your wound, holding it down with two hands. "you two can end this fight just as quickly as it started. we both know how bad water and blood is inside of a punctured lung." your breathing increased.
"save your breath! y/n, please..." senku lowered his head, laying it against your forehead.
"then go and help tsukasa already," you forcefully told him with gritted teeth.
hyoga managed to get his way over to where the two of you were. he kicked you away from senku. "y/n!" he screamed out.
anyone could tell that senku was distressed
it was the most obvious thing
you've been unconscious for barely a few hours and yet he's become restless
the people who know senku well enough are shocked at this newfound side of his
then again at the same time, they weren't shocked
everyone knows just how much you and senku care for each other despite not knowing just what exactly the relationship the two of you hold
(there was assumptions of it, but that's all they were: bold assumptions)
"senku, you need to rest," advised gen, looking worried. "you took a beating as well."
senku shook his head. "what's the point of sleeping when i need to think of a way to save y/n," he replied, pacing in the cave room you laid in.
taiju and yuzuhira glanced at each other, worried for their long time friend. this was not the first time this had happened. they hoped it would be the last, but here they are yet again, watching senku worry upon hours for an injured you.
"senku, do you want to sleep in here?" yuzuriha asked softly. senku looked up at her and nodded, no words to be said.
"i'll get a spare bed for you senku! no worries!" exclaimed taiju as he ran off.
"has he ever been like this before?" kohaku asked, going straight to the point. gen and chrome walked closer to kohaku and yuzuriha.
yuzuriha's lips drew into a thin line, unsure if she should share. she knew about the game you and senku liked to play, after all, she was one of the first victims. "only when y/n becomes reckless and injuries herself, but this time it's worse. it's hard to heal an injury as severe as that in the stone world."
"it's obvious," mentioned gen. "i may not know what relationship they have together, but if my assumptions are right, then it makes sense. usually senku would've thought of something by now, but he hasn't. his mind is being blocked by anxiousness, panic, and worry. he needs to calm down."
"senku..." you weakly called out which caught senku's attention immediately, and crouched down next to you. "get your ass to sleep." the others were taken aback at the first sentence you spoke after you woken up from a short coma.
senku let out a huff of amusement. "of course that's the first thing you say," he mentions.
"you know me so well, love." a weak smirk formed on your face. if anyone picked up on the sudden affectionate name, they didn't mention it. "but seriously though, how can you save me when you can't even think straight. you know me well, but i know you just as well, senku."
senku furrowed his brows.
"you need to accept what you need to do, senku."
Tumblr media
masterlist ; times senku talked about you (part 2) a/n: it's not as ambiguous as i want it to be, but i thought the ending seemed fitting

I think Tumblr ate this request again T.T headcanons of Senku with a villager albino or heterochromiac s/o (you can choose either) who was thought to be a spirit, demon or a witch by the village and had to live separately before she met Senku? (Senku giving an hour of scientific lecture that s/o is totally normal with just a unique appearance to the villagers xD).
Tumblr media
“Senku!! Senku come quick!” the little watermelon Suika rolled up and popped out of her shell. Her cry immediately caught his attention, turning all his attention to her.
“Suika, calm down, what’s the matter?” he asked seriously, placing a hand on her small shoulder in attempts to comfort and calm her.
“We caught the witch! The witch Chrome had been talking about for a while!! Come on!” She jumped, pulling his hand out of the village towards the edge of the woods. After the words left her mouth, Senku’s face fell into a dead panned expression. He was ten billion percent sure he covered how witches and mythical stories can’t be true to the entire village…and here was Suika pulling him towards their supposed witch. Most logical explanation is they captured a revived person from his time and knew some scientific skills like himself and startled them.
Once past a bit of the trees came a clearing, where Senku laid his eyes upon Kinro and Ginro having tied up, you guessed it, a person. Kohaku was also there, holding a stance ready to attack if you tried anything funny. All three of them must have already threatened you a hundred times. He couldn’t let this go on longer.
“Everyone! I am ten billion percent sure they’re not a witch,” he spoke loud enough to be heard clearly, and thankfully caught everyone’s attention, including yours. Kohaku walked over to him, knife still in hand.
“Senku! How could you be so sure? Look at them!” She swung her blade back to point at you. You had silky, practically snow-white hair and shining heterochromia eyes that were (l/e/c) and (r/e/c). You were different, but that didn’t make you a witch.
“That’s what the modern world calls judging a book by its cover and we don’t want to do that here,” he retorted and patted Kohaku’s shoulder before stepping around her, demanding you be untied. You were obviously scared, head tucked low, avoiding eye contact and beat up a bit from your fight with the trio. They trusted Senku enough to listen and you rubbed your arms a bit from the slight indents the rope pushed into your pale skin. Senku kneeled down in front of you, his team on guard automatically.
“What’s your name?”
“…(y/n). What’s yours?”
“Senku. You’re albino aren’t you?” He smiled, since he already knew he was right. He watched your mismatched eyes widen.
“Wait, you know?” Your voice trembled a bit, having lost the thought that people from thousands of years ago could’ve survived, and you’d have the luck of meeting them.
“Yeah,” he chuckled. “I’m sorry about my friends, they’re from this time so they got scared.” He offered you a hand to aid you standing up, which you accepted. It seems like his friends relaxed a bit too, adding some comfort for you.
“I got scared too,” you countered. “For months now, whenever we accidently crossed paths, I’d be called a witch and threatened or chased. They caught me this time.”
“We were going to burn them at a stake!” Ginro proudly stated before Kohaku appeared besides him and jabbed his ribs. Senku returned his attention to you.
“Do you remember when you woke up?” He wanted to ask so many more questions already, but he knew better than to overwhelm a new person who was attacked by a gang.
“Not quite, but I’ve made a wobbly hutch to survive in.” After that sentence, you noticed the leak-haired man gain a large grin on his face. You felt a bit of worry and confusion, but within the next hour you’d understand a lot more currently happening than your entire time awake in the stone world.
During dinner in the village, Senku took diligent time to explain to the villagers who albino people where and what heterochromia eyes were and why. Being the scientist he is, he left no detail too small, but he made sure to express the importance of not assuming the worst of somebody by how they look, or if they don’t look like you.
You happily ate your meal while he lectured the villagers. In this crazy, stressful world, you were lucky to find somebody who understood you, accepted you and helped others accept you too. If not for Senku, they truly thought you were a witch, someone producing magic and spells like in the games you use to play in your time. It was scary to be attacked, but you hold a special place in your heart for Senku now for saving you. He was a man you could respect.

My thoughts on Dr. Stone’s S02E04 (“Full Assault”)
My thoughts after watching Season Two, Episode Four:
01. I love Lillian’s song! 😊
02. Has Tsukasa not shared with the others his vision for a scienceless utopia? The way Nikki was talking about it, it sounded like she just had a vague idea about Tsukasa’s goals, but nothing more than that.
03. Taiju learned the consequences of having a good idea… 😆
04. Aww, Magma wants to avenge Chrome 😊 I mean, he used Chrome as a human shield and that was how he “died,” but… this is still touching 😁
05. Chrome was really smart in figuring out Ukyo’s intentions! And Ukyo appearing behind him could have been a surprise if the camera hadn’t been panning to the right, but Ukyo still looked super cool! 😁
06. Chrome is the most relaxed captive ever 😆
07. Didn’t they use those same two “muscular people” shots when Gen arrived at the Cave of Miracles to give Tsukasa his fake report?
08. We finally hear Ukyo speak normally. The super deep voice in the teaser way back sounded weird, but I guess he was being intense then. This higher-pitched, more relaxed tone of his fits much better with what I would have imagined his voice sounding like 😊
09. I get that they look cool and all, but a whole bunch of people, including the two strongest fighters, are just sitting in the dark and doing nothing. That’s so unproductive 😆 But guarding the Cave of Miracles is a job too, I suppose!
10. The scene of Chrome meeting Tsukasa for the first time shows the difference between anime and manga as artistic mediums. With anime, you get music and movement, which helps slow-paced scenes go faster. But with manga, you STOP a lot, and feel the epicness of a particular scene, because you’re locked in that moment with them. Because things have to move quickly in anime, this meeting felt less epic. I think they should have focused away from Chrome and Tsukasa and maybe gone back to the kingdom of science so that there’s time for the suspense to build and for the viewer to be all, “AHHH! WHAT’S GOING TO HAPPEN?!”
11. Kohaku cares so much about Chrome that she wanted to leave to rescue him right then and there! 😭 The video game music made this a lot more lighthearted than what I imagined, but I liked seeing Senku call Kohaku a lioness again, and that he was the only one who could stop her! 😁 (And, for the second time this series, Kokuyou restrains Kohaku from putting herself in danger to help a friend. He cares about her safety! 😁)
12. Homura has a pretty good set-up for a prisoner – private room, foxtail ramen… 😆
13. Kohaku and Senku standing side by side! 😊 That’s a good shot 😊 What makes it weird is that Senku is carrying something and Kohaku isn’t. Usually, like in the waterwheel scene, she’s carrying a lot of stuff and he’s carrying very little – but he’s still more tired than she is 😆
14. Why did Kaseki saw those grooves into the wheel? For flexibility?
15. A new roadmap! 😁 Senku being so excited about building a car is adorable 😆
16. Poor Gen, Kinro, and Ginro… they were attacked by a ton of speakers when they went to get those honeycombs… 😆 But their hardships weren’t in vain!
17. Ruri’s used to the way Senku says things 😁 And Kohaku was in Senku’s oxygen pumping example… after he said in Season One that his type of girl is one who can pump a ton of oxygen into a furnace 😁
18. Kohaku knows Chrome so well! 😊 And… everybody knows exactly what she means 😆
19. Of all the things to mention to lure them to Senku’s side, Chrome starts off with colorful flames. Whyyy?? 😆 Tsukasa, Hyoga, and Ukyo gave him such dead stares after he said that… 😆
20. This is the third time in the series that Chrome has tried to use science to appeal to people who have other interests (the first two times were Kinro with the generator and Gen with electricity). He loves science so much 😊 Even if it’s not the right bait for some people…
21. Chrome is SO cool and loyal in the face of death! Although this scene has the same problem as the one where he met Tsukasa – there isn’t enough time for the viewer to admire his conviction as he falls before he gets saved by Ukyo’s arrow.
22. Tsukasa pulled up an entire tree trunk?? With ONE hand?? 😲 I mean… maybe it was rotted out or something, but… one hand?? 😲 Then again, I DID accept, or at least move past, his catching that crossbow bolt way back in Season One, so… 😆
23. I never had any thoughts one way or another about what the back of Hyoga’s cape looked like, but now that I know, this feels like something I can’t unsee 😆 Is there a purpose to those holes and strings? Maybe the lowest circle is to help hold up what he’s wearing under the cloak, or something, but are the other four circles just for aesthetic purposes?
24. Ukyo goes from smiling and innocent to pretty suspicious-looking in just a few seconds 😆
25. Everybody looks great in their industrial revolution clothing! Magma, in particular, looks really cool 😁 I’m sure we’ll see more of their moving iron creation in the next episode!
26. I love this season's ending song! 😊

Can I ask something extra cute and fluffy with Ginro? I need that so badly
bro, of course, you can... it's always ginro loving hours... i honestly love him so much 💗❤️🥰💗🥺 also can i draw your attention to how soft he looks here.. that smile .. I LOVE HE... ALSO HEADCANON THAT GINRO CAN ACTUALLY BE REALLY STRONG IF HE HAS SOMEONE LOVING AND SUPPORTING HIM (also this is my first time writing a scenario, hopes it's good)
“I Love You”
Tumblr media
“S/O!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Everyone could hear a loud voice resonating throughout the village. Without a doubt, everyone already knew who it was. Especially s/o. They looked up from the clothes they were sewing and to the direction of the voice. Of course, it was their lover, Ginro.
“S/O!!!!! S/O!!!!!!!,” he wailed as he kicked up clouds of dust behind him and skidded to a halt, standing in front of s/o. “S/o...” he kept crying their name.
“Oh dear.. Ginro, aren’t you supposed to be training with Kinro and Kohaku?” s/o asked in a concerned voice, putting the clothes down.
“S/o...,” he whined, “They yelled at me! Again! Because I can’t do the move correctly! I’ve been trying really really hard and-”
“Ginro, sit next to me,” s/o said in a soft and gentle voice, patting the ground next to them. Ginro brightened at this and dove for the seat, quickly resting his head on s/o’s shoulder and inhaling their sweet scent. “Now, tell me exactly what’s bothering you, love,” s/o continued in their honeyed voice.
Ginro snuggled into his s/o’s embrace. Oh, how kind they were unlike everyone else! He squeezed s/o’s hand and his heart burst when they squeezed back.
“Well you see, Kohaku was training Kinro and I in case invaders attack the village again, and I’ve been training so hard to do a certain move right, but I just can’t get it! And they won’t let me take breaks and I just really wanted to see you again because I love you and-” Ginro abruptly stopped his long speech as he felt his head being pulled into a soft surface, s/o’s lap.
He could feel fingers threading through his golden locks, massaging his scalp. He gasped at the comforting feeling. He absolutely loved the affection but..
“S-s/o! I’m probably all sweaty and you shouldn’t get your hands sweaty either because your a goddess and-” he was interrupted as he felt a supple finger press against his lips.
“I don’t mind, Ginro. It just shows me how hard you’ve been working. I think you deserve at least this,” s/o leaned down and brushed the hair on his forehead, planting a kiss. He could feel the tickle of their hair, how good they smelled, and how soft the kiss felt.. He could feel the blush blooming on his face and the tips of his ears growing hot.
S/o was so cute, so graceful, so adorable, and oh so cute..
He was snapped back to reality at the hum of his s/o’s voice. “Ginro, do you think if I come with you, you can try and pratice the move again?”
“Y-YES!! LET’S GO!!” the affection s/o gave to him made him feel alive again, as he pulled s/o to their feet and took off running with them. Oh, he was definitely going to impress them and gain more of their kisses!
Eventually, they made it back to the training grounds where Kohaku and Kinro were still training. “I’m back!”
They looked at Ginro and s/o. “I thought you didn’t want to do this anymore,” they said.
“I-I never said that! I was just taking a break! Anyway, I am going to learn the move!” Ginro yelled at he grabbed his spear. “S/o, just watch how badass Ginro the Bodyguard is!”
A while later, both Kinro and Ginro were exhausted of Kohaku’s attacks. Even though Ginro hadn’t been able to do anything remarkable, s/o kept cheering for him and sending him loving smiles. He didn’t want to disappoint them.. he will learn the move!
Ginro calmed his breathing and focused on his opponent. Kohaku dove for him, and almost like magic, Ginro smoothly dodged to the side. Now everyone had stopped what they were doing and watched. Kohaku came for him again, but he ducked and used his spear to thrust one of Kohaku’s knives out of her hand, landing on the ground a couple of feet away.
It was complete silence for a moment. The villagers, Senku, Chrome, Gen, and the others stared in shock. Ginro, the so called coward, just knocked Kohaku’s weapon out of her hand? What?!
Even Ginro didn’t know what happened. All he remembers is his s/o cheering at the top of their lungs and shaking him. “S/o?”
“Oh Ginro, I didn’t know you were so strong! You were so cool and amazing and epic and, oh I love you!”
Ginro felt a grin appear on his face as it reddened. S/o’s words meant more than anything to him. They were the first person to ever believe in him, motivate him, and love him unconditionally. S/o was so kind, and so unbelievably cute and attractive too.
“Hmph, I guess even someone like Ginro can be strong when he wants to,” Kinro commented.
“Sometimes I wonder how a idiot like Ginro ended up with someone as sweet as s/o,” Kohaku sighed. “But.. they’re a good match,” she smiled.
“S/o... are you proud?” he let out a contented sigh and he relished in your praises.
“Oh of course I am! You’re the most amazing person I know..” they said softly. They tugged on his arm, making Ginro look at them.
“Hey Ginro?” s/o said in an oddly serious voice.
“Y-y-yea?”
“I love you,” s/o said as they pulled him down and kissed him sweetly on his lips, making his heart beat.
“S/o..” he responded as they pulled away.
“I love you too, s/o,” Ginro replied, cupping their cheek as he kissed them again lovingly.

Dr. Stone Sentence Starters #11-20
A collection of the Dr. Stone sentence starters I’ve done, compiled for the sake of ease. These are all stand-alone stories. Most are SenGen.
~~~
11) Lee Gen, Ler Senku
“Did. I. Stutter?” Senku repeated his words slowly, one by one, approaching Gen with purposeful strides.
Gen was so surprised by Senku’s demeanor that he backed himself right into one of the shelves full of glass beakers. He whirled to make sure none of them fell. “N-No, you didn’t stutter, I just…wasn’t sure that I heard you right?”
“You heard me perfectly well.” Senku was right in his face when the mentalist turned back, startling him all over again. After a long pause, the scientist smirked playfully. “You’d better run.”
Gen sure didn’t need to be told twice. He took off at a sprint, bolting out of the lab and around the back towards the forest, hoping to climb up into one of the trees for shelter from the oncoming storm. A minute later Senku arrived, stood at the base of his chosen tree, and looked up.
“Really? You’re not even trying.”
“I know you can’t climb well,” Gen replied. “If you want me, you’ll have to come get me.”
“All right.”
Adding to the surprises for the day, Senku leapt up to grab the first branch and swung himself up onto it, approaching Gen’s hiding place slowly but surely.
At this point, Gen felt he owed it to his poor friend to just stay put and take it. It wouldn’t be so bad…right?
Senku crawled up the branch to him, pushing him against the trunk with a mischievous smile. “Hi.”
“Hi.” Gen flashed a smile of his own. “Go on, then. Just don’t tickle me so hard we both fall out of this tree.”
“I make no promises.” Senku chuckled, then reached for him and started tickling. Gen’s laughter filled the edge of the forest as the scientist added, “Besides, this is what you get for messing with me all the time. I think it’s only fair.”
*
12) Lee Senku, Ler Gen
Gen wrapped his arms around Senku’s waist from behind, resting his chin on his shoulder. “What are you working on?”
Senku stiffened for only a moment, then relaxed when he realized who it was. “Just doing an experiment for Chrome.”
“You’re so kind.” Gen held him closer and pressed a soft kiss to the back of his neck. “When are you coming to bed?”
Senku let out a small noise and shuddered slightly. “Uh…” For a moment, he actually seemed at a loss for words. “S-Soon. Once I finish here.”
“That was quite the reaction,” Gen teased, kissing him again. “I keep forgetting you’re so ticklish here.”
“Don’t,” Senku pleaded. He tried to turn around, but the mentalist tightened his grip on his waist and kissed him again. “Gen, dohohohon’t!”
“Aww, what’s wrong?” Gen teased, curling his fingers inward to tickle the scientist’s sides as well, pulling a sputtering laugh out of him. “Can’t take a little tickling?”
“Stohohohohop – you knohohohow I cahahahan’t!” Senku gripped Gen’s arms, giggling openly, knowing he wasn’t going anywhere until the mentalist released him. “Plehehehehease!”
Gen beamed at him, kissing his neck and ears and tickling his sides in tandem. “You’re so cute, you know that?”
“Shuhuhuhut up!”
“But you are!” Gen hugged him tighter. “I just want to squeeze you and cuddle you and tickle you all night long.”
“Gen!” Senku was blushing now, heart hammering in his chest. This mentalist did things to him he’d never felt before, and it was confusing and exciting all at once. “Plehehehehease, stohohohop!”
As requested, the mentalist slowed his tickling down and eventually let up. He pulled back and turned Senku to face him, reveling in the pink cheeks and bright eyes his tickling had induced. Gen put a hand to his cheek. “Come to bed?”
Senku chuckled, placing his hand over top of Gen’s. “Sure.”
*
13) Lee Senku, Ler Gen
The snap of a twig in the dark alerted Senku to the fact that he wasn’t alone out here in the forest.
Great, he thought. I go off by myself for two minutes to do my business and now I’m being stalked by some wild animal. Or worse – one of Tsukasa’s people. The scientist stalled, listening hard, scanning the area around him for some sign of movement.
There was nothing.
Cautiously he stepped forward, intending to get back to the observatory as quickly and quietly as possible. He was just coming upon the clearing that would take him to the outskirts of the village when someone came up behind him and slapped a hand over his mouth, muffling his startled cry.
He panicked for all of three seconds before his captor murmured a gentle, “Hello, Senku~” And suddenly he knew who had hold of him. He relaxed, letting out a sigh. His heart was racing. “Quite bold of you to assume it was safe to go off alone, don’t you think?”
Senku wrenched his head to the side to free his mouth and look directly into the cool, teasing gaze of the mentalist. “You scared me half to death, Gen. Are you happy?”
“I am. But you don’t seem to be.” Gen smirked, grabbing hold of Senku’s wrists and holding them behind his back as he squeezed his side playfully. “Good thing we know how to change that, hmm?”
“No!” Senku yelped, biting his lip to keep his laughter at bay. He struggled, but Gen was surprisingly strong. “Nohohohohoho, Gen! Y-You – gah – stohohohohohohop it! I’ll g-gehehehet you bahahahack for thihihihis!”
Gen beamed, leaning forward to blow cool air over the scientist’s neck and ears, loving the squeal he got for his efforts. “I’m sure you will. But first, allow me to teach you about the dangers of the forest, my dear Senku~”
*
14) Lee Senku, Lers Kohaku and Ginro
“Wait, wait, wait!” Senku cried, kicking against Kohaku until she let him go, startled. Once on his feet again he shook his head and started backing away. “Nope. Can’t do it. Sorry.”
“What? But you said—”
“Can’t.”
Kohaku reached out and grabbed his wrist, frowning at him. “Senku, I need someone to be a test dummy for Ginro so he can learn how to fight properly.” She jabbed a thumb over her shoulder at the blonde boy who stood off to the side, watching them in confusion. “No one else is available, so you’re up.”
“Not gonna happen.”
“Why are you protesting all of a sudden? You seemed fine when I asked five minutes ago.”
Senku wouldn’t look at her. “I just…remembered something important I need to do. Right now. Time is of the essence.”
“This will only take a couple of minutes, Senku,” Kohaku sighed, moving to stand behind him again, latching her hands onto his waist and hoisting him into the air as she had the first time.
Senku yelped and then – to her surprise – burst into giggles, squirming in her arms. “S-Stop, put me down!”
Immediately, it clicked. Kohaku grinned, set him on the ground as requested, and wasted no time curling her fingers inward, squeezing his sides with purpose this time. Senku’s laugh was instant and loud and shrieky. She beamed. “You’re ticklish! That’s why you didn’t want to help.”
“Stop, stohohohohohop!” he pleaded, grabbing onto her wrists but unable to keep her from wiggling her fingers in his most sensitive spot. His knees wobbled. “Kohaku! I’m seheheheherious!”
“You sound serious,” she teased.
“Is he ticklish? No way!” Ginro cried, beaming as he hurried over to them. “I want to tickle him, too!”
“No – NO!! Both of yohohohohou, s-s-STAHAHAHAHAHAP IT!!” Senku was quickly tackled to the ground, each of his attackers grabbing an arm and holding it out of the way while they dug into his sides, drawing the loudest, screechiest laughter they’d ever heard from him. He kicked and begged and tossed his head back as his hysterics overcame him in a wild rush he hadn’t felt in over three thousand years. “NONONO STAHAHAHAHAHAP!! I SWEHEHEHEHEAR!! I’LL M-MAHAHAKE YOU DO MOHOHOHOHORE WORK IF YOU DON’T STAHAHAHAHAHAP—!!”
*
15) Lee Senku, Ler Gen
Gen had been trying – and failing – to get Senku to laugh at even one of his jokes for a solid ten minutes at this point, and he was growing frustrated. Didn’t the man have a sense of humor?
“Okay, okay – what did one eye say to the other?” he tried.
Senku took a long drink of water before shrugging and leaning against the outside of the lab, looking up into the cloudy sky. “I’m sure you’re about to tell me.”
“Between you and me, something smells!”
“Uh-huh. Give it up, mentalist – your jokes just aren’t funny.”
Gen scoffed. “You just don’t know how to laugh,” he muttered, reaching to pinch his side without really thinking about it. “Grumpy.”
To his surprise, Senku let out what sounded like a squeak and jerked away from him, turning wide red eyes to the mentalist. Gen stared at him. He smirked.
“Do not,” Senku said.
“Oh, I will.” Gen tackled the scientist to the ground, pinching up and down his sides rapidly, keeping him giggling. “All right, let’s try this again. How about this one – how do you know the toothbrush was invented in Tennessee?”
“W-Whehehehehere even is Tehehehehenessee?” Senku protested, squirming and trying to push Gen’s hands away.
“Because if it were invented anywhere else, it would be called a teethbrush!”
“It’s n-nohohohot that fun-NEHEHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! NOHOHOHOHOHO!!” Senku laughed helplessly when the mentalist squeezed his sides harder, earning louder shrieks and squeals from him.
“Aha! Finally got you to laugh at one!”
“THAHAHAHAT DOESN’T COHOHOHOHOUNT!!”
Gen chuckled. “Do you really want to be arguing with me with the position you’re in?” To his surprise, the scientist’s cheeks were turning pink, and he seemed to actually be getting…flustered? “Why, Senku – are you enjoying this?”
“What?! Nohohohohoho!” Senku grabbed his wrists, trying to push him away. “Stohohohohop!”
But Gen didn’t let up, only smiling wider the longer he pinched and kneaded his friend’s sides, drawing the happiest of giggles from him. “Your smile tells me otherwise~”
*
16) Lee Gen, Ler Senku
“Why are you acting like this?”
Gen smirked. He’d been pestering Senku for a solid few minutes now, following him wherever he went, bugging him with random questions, never letting him have a moment of quiet. “For attention.”
Senku scoffed. “Interesting strategy.”
“It’s working, isn’t it?”
“I suppose there’s no way it couldn’t work, unless I ignored you. Which is difficult when you’re right behind me like a puppy all the time.”
“Am I cute like a puppy?”
Senku paused, looking at the mentalist seriously for a moment before smirking. “Sure. But I know how to make you even cuter. Come here!”
Gen knew what was coming, and he turned to try and run, but the scientist merely tackled him into the grass and rolled him over, going right for his underarms, and the mentalist exploded with laughter. “NONONO OKAHAHAHAHAHY I’LL LEHEHEHEHEAVE YOU ALONE!!”
“That’s funny.” Senku straddled him, leaning down so their faces were practically touching. “I never said I wanted you to.”
“PLEHEHEHEHEHEASE!!” Gen squealed, kicking his legs uselessly, trying to toss his body side to side to lessen the sensations. Senku could not get enough of his big, bright smile. “PLEASE NOT THEHEHEHEHERE!! ANYWHERE EHEHEHEHELSE BUT THEHEHEHERE, SENKU!!”
“Oh?~” Senku hummed, grabbing his arms and shoving them above his head, leaning down to press feather light kisses along his cheeks and ears. “Then what about here?”
Gen whined, still giggling. His ears weren’t overly ticklish, but being nuzzled and kissed there definitely flustered him. “Nohohohohohoho…”
“No? But you wanted attention.” Senku chuckled, reaching one hand down to tweak his ribs, making him yelp. “I’m just giving you what you wanted, puppy~”
*
17) Lee Senku, Ler Gen
“There’s no need to hold my chin like that,” Senku said with a confident smirk. “We’re the same height. I can look into your eyes just fine without your help.”
“I’m an inch taller, thank you,” Gen shot back playfully, “and it makes me feel powerful to make you look at me, so let me have this.”
“Powerful, huh?” Senku chuckled. He tried to tilt his head, but Gen merely tightened his grip slightly, giving his head a small shake as if to say “oh, no, you don’t.” The scientist blinked, surprised by how the simple action made his heart beat a little faster. “Well, what do you want, mentalist?”
Gen had his free arm wrapped around Senku’s waist. He pulled him a little closer. “What do you think?” He finally let go of his chin, only to scribble his fingers under it teasingly. “Come kiss me, you brilliant scientist.”
Senku chuckled again, and it took Gen a moment to realize it wasn’t because he’d thought it was funny. He twisted his head out of the way with a soft, “stop it,” and the gears in the mentalist’s head churned as he put the pieces together.
“Aw, are you a little sensitive, Senku?” He teased, scribbling even more, keeping up when the scientist twisted his head this way and that. Senku tried to pull back but Gen kept his arm firmly around his waist. “Tickle, tickle~”
“Stohohop.” The plea was soft, not quite genuine. The mentalist moved his skittering up to the man’s ears and neck, and finally Senku’s soft chuckles became higher-pitched giggles. “Nohohohoho! Gehehehehen!”
Gen giggled, too, throwing his arms around Senku’s shoulders and burying his face into his neck, nuzzling him. Both men continued to laugh happily for quite some time.
*
18) Lee Gen, Ler Senku
“You’ve been awfully quiet today,” Senku remarked, coming up behind Gen, hands on his hips. “What’s the matter with you?”
“Who says anything is wrong?” Gen replied, but he wouldn’t look at the scientist.
“Because you are physically incapable of shutting up.” Senku tried to step closer to get a better look at his face, but the mentalist turned away from him. “Are you hiding something from me?”
“I would never.”
“Now I know you’re hiding something.” The scientist sighed. “Spill it, Gen.”
Gen cleared his throat. “I’m fine.”
Senku rolled his eyes and grabbed his ribs from behind, digging into the bones and spaces between with deadly precision. Gen shrieked with giggles and doubled over instantly, but to Senku’s surprise, he didn’t whirl around to fight him off. Instead he collapsed to the ground, barely squirming at all.
“Senku! Plehehehease!”
“Tell me what’s wrong.”
“Nohohohohothing’s wrong!”
“Then I’m sure you can take a little more tickling.”
Gen arched his back when the scientist wormed his way up into his underarms, finally rolling over onto his back, showing off his wide smile…and a whole slew of other things.
Senku stopped. “Gen, you’re sick.”
“I’m fine!”
“Why didn’t you tell me? Chrome and I could have made some medicine for you, and you should be resting—”
“I’m fine,” Gen insisted. “I didn’t want you to worry because I’m not that sick. Just a little.”
“In the stone world, a cold can be deadly.” Senku frowned, moving to get up. “Come on, let’s get you to the observatory.”
“Wait.” Gen grabbed his arms, keeping him from standing. He looked a little embarrassed. “Can you…tickle me a little more? It felt really nice.”
“Tickling you made you feel better?”
“Laughter is the best medicine.”
“Oof. Just for that, I’m going to tickle you silly.” Senku smiled gently. “Let’s at least get you to the observatory first. Then we’ll see about that extra dose of tickling.”
“Hm? What was that? You’re going to have to stop laughing so I can hear you clearly.”
“GEHEHEHEHEHEN!! GEHEHEHEHET ME OUT OF HEHEHEHEHEHERE!!” Senku pleaded around mouthfuls of desperate laughter. He was hanging unceremoniously from a trap the hunters had set for deer deep in the forest; he’d been out collecting plants for a new project and had accidentally brushed over the rope with his hand, and now he was hanging from a tree with one wrist bound above him and the other trying to grab at Gen’s devious tickling fingers.
“I’m afraid I still can’t hear you,” the mentalist teased wickedly, enjoying himself far too much. When Senku had taken longer than expected to come back to the lab, he’d gone out to look for him and had nearly doubled over laughing himself when he found the scientist strung up in a deer trap. He’d also wasted no time in taking advantage of the situation, drilling his fingers deep into his friend’s sides, knowing it was his ultimate weak spot and that he couldn’t protect himself whatsoever right now. “If you’d just stop laughing so hard, maybe I could understand—”
“PLEHEHEHEHEHEHEASE!!” Senku screeched, and the pure desperation in his voice was music to Gen’s ears. “GEHEHEHEHEN, STOHOHOHOHOHOP!! I BEHEHEHEHEG YOU!!”
“You beg me, hmm?” Gen grinned evilly up at him, enjoying the look of excited panic in his eyes. “Now that does sound lovely~”
“LEHEHEHEHET ME GOHOHOHO!! I SWEHEHEHEAR I’LL MAHAHAKE YOU ALL THE COHOHOHOLA YOU WANT!!”
“You do that anyway,” Gen chuckled, grabbing Senku’s free wrist and holding it up out of the way so he could tickle without any kind of hindrance. The scientist threw his head back and absolutely cackled, completely lost to his own hysterics at this point. The mentalist beamed. Despite his friend’s protests, he knew Senku wasn’t hating this as much as he pretended he did. After several long moments, he asked, “Had enough yet, giggles?”
At first Senku didn’t reply; he merely laughed and kicked and let Gen do what he wanted, but when the mentalist wrapped his arm around his waist to blow a raspberry over his exposed stomach, he finally crumbled. “STOHOHOHOHOHOP, PLEHEHEHEHEASE!! NO MOHOHOHOHORE, GEN!!”
Gen chuckled, then took a knife from his tunic and threw it at the rope binding Senku to the tree. They both toppled to the ground in a heap, giggling in each other’s arms.
“You don’t take compliments very well, do you?” Gen asked, looking sideways at Senku, who looked a tad bit flustered and uncomfortable. “Why? They’re all right, you know.”
Senku scoffed, picking up a pencil and beginning to draw something, ignoring Gen completely.
Well, that wouldn’t do.
Gen folded his arms. “Senku, you are intelligent, and kind, and lots of fun to be around, and—”
“Stop,” Senku muttered, dropping the pencil and facing away from him, cheeks turning pink as he blushed. “None of it’s deserved.”
“Not deserved?” Gen gasped dramatically. “How dare you say such a thing about yourself.” When the scientist still wouldn’t look at him, he grabbed his sides from behind and pulled him closer while squeezing at the same time, pulling a startled giggle from his friend. “Let’s try this again, shall we? You are intelligent.”
Senku squirmed, giggling steadily as Gen squeezed and dug his fingers into his most ticklish spot. “Stop—”
“You are kind.” Gen giggled with him, pulling him closer, wrapping one arm around his chest. “You’re so much fun to be around.”
“Stohohohohop!”
“And let’s not forget – you have the best laugh!” The mentalist dug in for all he was worth, pulling a shriek and high-pitched laughter out of Senku, who squirmed and grabbed his arms weakly, not-so-subtly giving into the ticklish sensations wracking his body. Gen dug harder, held tighter, teased more relentlessly. “Hear that? Your laugh is the best, Senku! All of us love hearing it. Especially me. Tickle, tickle, tickle!”
“GEHEHEHEHEHEHEN!!” Senku laughed, scrabbling for some kind of purchase on his purple coat. “NOHOHOHOHOHOHO!!”
“Gen, yes~” The mentalist hugged him even tighter and began nibbling his neck and ears from behind in tandem with the nonstop tickling of his sides. Senku nearly collapsed right then and there, the feelings both unbearable and completely welcome at the same time. “You’re intelligent, you’re kind, you’re fun, your laugh is beautiful. Believe me now?”
“YEHEHEHEHEHES, OKAHAHAHAHAY, YOU WIHIHIHIHIHIN!!” Senku pleaded, submitting to Gen’s tickly hold while begging for mercy at the same time. “PLEHEHEHEHEASE!!”
Gen finally let up, giving him one last kiss on the cheek before letting him go. “Good.”
