I'd really like to hear your thoughts on Gilded Lily! I've seen it taken in a couple different contexts online but idk anyone that listens to it. After Dark is another banger but I never considered thinking of it as Giyuucore. the same thing with Little Dark Age talk about blorbo, think about blorbo :)

usually i think of my music taste as mainstream but not like. Popular mainstream yk? usually at least, since i started only really using spotify it kinda just Sticks with popular... (i just think the music i listen to its pretty all over the place) anyway-

Little Dark Age is super gloomy and sorta like. corrupted church vibes. idk how to explain that. the tone of voice singing keeping the note flat (except in the chorus) the background music echoing itself it just overall reminds me of devilman crybaby's corrupted demonic vibe. Smells Blood(kensuke ushio). dvmcb has a more Taken And Run By Evil/Satan kinda vibe whereas little dark age is more God Left Us

the lyrics are a narration, his own thoughts and feelings he never speaks aloud but says if you listen close enough.

the ruins of the day, painted with a scar dont need to explain that one

and, the more i straighten out, the less it wants to try the amount of willpower it takes him to just keep going

oh-oh, forgiving who you are, for what you stand to gain - just know that if you hide, it doesnt go away/i grieve in stereo, the stereo sounds strange - you know that if it hides, it doesn't go away self-narration, how much he still hurts despite hardening his heart against it all

when you get out of bed, dont end up stranded - horrified. with each stone. on the stage - my little dark age stranded in the stagelight, stone upon stone tied to him always weighing him down

specifically ties with the other lyric- come find us heading for the bridge, bring a stone, all the rage, my little dark age he thinks he deserves it, peoples hatred and anger at his failure, he ties the stones himself

if I get out of bed, you'll see me standing all alone, horrified, on the stage, my little dark age all of this song ties specifically to this one imagery i have of sabito and giyuu and hashira overall- theyre the ones that bare the light that destroys demons. with their strength they cast shadows for other slayers and innocent people to hide behind, still safely in the light but not being burned by it as they are.

Giyuu and Sabito were supposed to bare that light together, strengthened by eachother casting shadows where the other's weakest and baring the burn with eachother side by side, they were supposed to cast a shadow large enough to shield everyone they cared for, to not lose everyone they love again.

this line was the start of it all- waking up alone on the stage being wholly burned by the light with no respite. the blinding light instead signaling his little dark age

also yeah!!! the self-isolating, lonely theme of those songs is literally just Him. it speaks for itself so clearly i dont even know how i could explain it to someone who knows giyuu but doesnt understand how The Mute & The Missing Road relate to him. its just. Its Him man. you gotta believe me. if you only listen with your ears, i cant get in - and a heart always holds, onto missing roads MAN CMON ITS RIGHT THERE-

The Brothers + Dateables & Luke react to MC owning a cat named lucifer

A/N- To attempt to avoid confusion, the demon Lucifer’s name will always be capitalized, while the cat lucifer’s name will never be capitalized.

“Now,” Diavolo said, obviously nearing the end of his speech, “Do you have any more questions, MC?”

You nod, “Is my cat up there all by himself?” you ask, “I don’t want him to get lonely, and without me he wont have anyone to feed him.”

The men, no, the demons in front of you stared, all obviously dumbstruck. You had been ripped out of your home, brought to a strange place, and told you were to live here for a year, and your first thought was of your cat? What a strange human you were.

“We can arrange someone to take care of your cat,” Diavolo said, smiling wide, but your face fell at his words. Diavolo seemed to sense your discontent as he spoke again, “Or we can arrange for your cat to be brought here?”

“Yes, please,” you spoke almost immediately.

Diavolo called for a demon named Barbatos, telling him to go to the human world to retrieve your cat. He disappeared then reappeared in a matter of seconds, your cat laying comfortably in his arms.

“Oh, lucifer,” You cooed, taking your cat away from Barbatos, kissing the cat’s forehead.

The hall went silent once again, before someone, the demon they introduced as Asmodeus, spoke up, “Honey, that’s Barbatos.” He said, a slight chuckle laced within the words.

Confused, you glance back up at the hall of demons, you point to your cat, “No? His name is lucifer.”

Lucifer

Can't decide if he's confused or insulted.

He's confused because, who the hell would someone name a cat of all things after a demon

and he's insulted because WHO THE HELL WOULD NAME A CAT AFTER HIM?

He's one of the strongest Demons in the Devildom, much stronger than a mere housecat, the insinuation that he, Lucifer, avatar of pride, shares anything in common with a cat has him fuming.

Of course, he shows none of these emotions outwardly, keeping his face stoic as always.

And any one of his brothers who dare joke about this cat's name will be hanged from the ceiling in a matter of seconds.

Is fairly annoyed with their shared name in day-to-day life, and not just because it's insulting.

But, many times a day, Lucifer'll hear his name called through the halls and, when he goes to investigate, one of his brothers is cooing over the damned pun intended cat.

Will eventually get used to lucifer and will definitely be seen cuddling with him.

Is like the dad who insists he doesn't want a cat, but as soon as he gets one they're inseparable.

At the end of the day, he loves that damn cat.

Mammon

Laughs out loud at the revelation that the cat's name is lucifer.

Until he realizes now he has to look after the human and the cat.

Will complain about it in typical Mammon fashion, but he warms up to lucifer about as quickly as he warms up to you.

Buys him a bunch of cat toys when he has the grimm, and loves to play with him

especially with a laser pointer.

Also loves to cuddle, but always acts very tsundere about it.

"What is it lucifer? Oh, of course, you want to cuddle with the Great Mammon."

Will either steal lucifer from your room at night, or sleep in your room to cuddle with him and totally not you, of course, but you should be honored he's even sleeping in your room.

Leviathan

Thinks it's hilarious as well.

Though he prefers anime, Levi is well versed in other human media, especially classic Disney films, so, because of Cinderella, he's well aware that lucifer is a popular cat name in the human realm.

That doesn't make it any less funny, though.

WILL NOT allow lucifer into his room.

He has too many expensive figurines to risk it

Plus, he doesn't want to risk Henry 2.0 getting hurt.

Will only play with, pet, or cuddle with lucifer if he initiates it.

"He probably doesn't want to be pet by a gross otaku like me," as if cats know what otakus are.

Will, at some point, sew lucifer a costume that looks suspiciously like what his older brother tends to wear.

He may or may not have been hanged for that one, but it was totally worth it.

Satan

Like Lucifer, Satan is conflicted.

On one hand, cat! He loves cats, he wants to pet this cat all day, and give him kisses and cuddles and love.

On the other hand, Satan would rather his soul be ripped apart than give love to something named after Lucifer.

Will try his hardest to completely ignore the cat's existence.

Has to leave the room if lucifer comes in because he can't trust himself to not pet him.

Is like this with lucifer until he sees him respond to the name luci as well.

After that, you cannot separate Satan from lucifer even if you tried.

Spoils him rotten.

The two are often found reading together in the library, Satan leisurely petting lucifer.

Fights with Mammon at least once a day for lucifer and always wins.

Goes on long rants about how cat lucifer is much better in every way than demon Lucifer.

Asmodeus

Another one who thinks it's hilarious.

Definitely thinks lucifer is cute but hates all the shedding, so he usually keeps his distance.

Like Levi, Asmo doesn't allow lucifer in his room.

Will constantly complain about fur getting all over his clothes.

Has had to buy more lint rollers in the first year you spent in the Devildom than he had bought in the last century.

Constantly posts pictures of lucifer on his Devilgram because, despite being a furry monster, he is just the cutest little kitten around.

Beelzebub

Thinks the name is a bit weird but accepts it pretty quickly.

It's just a name, after all, lots of people who are very different share names.

lucifer's food has to be hidden from Beel because he can, and will, eat it.

"It just smelled so good, and I was so hungry."

Apologizes by buying him some luxury cat treats that took all of Bee's willpower not to eat on the way home.

At first, he won't interact with lucifer unless lucifer approaches him.

Beel is so big, and lucifer is so small, he doesn't want to crush the little cat.

But with enough time and reinforcement, Beel will pick lucifer up himself for some much-needed cuddles.

Before Belphie comes down from the attic, Beel'll bring lucifer up to their room at night when he's feeling a bit more lonely than usual.

Beel will invite you up to his room as well.

Belphegor

Finds out about lucifer after everyone else, due to the whole, being locked in the attic, thing.

Hears Asmo trying to coax lucifer into a good pose from down the hall.

"Oh lucifer, cutie pie, you gotta look at the camera."

Is surprised that Asmo is still alive talking to Lucifer like that.

Is even more surprised when he turns the corner to find Asmo talking to a cat, not his eldest brother.

Thinks it's hilarious, but Lucifer is already over it so teasing him about it doesn't do much.

Won't actively seek out lucifer's attention, but will gladly nap with him.

Beel continues his habit of bringing lucifer up to their room for cuddles when Belphie returns, so the three of them usually end up in a big cuddle pile.

Bonus points if he brings you up too.

Diavolo

Thinks it's very amusing.

Laughs about it, probably for a bit too long.

He can't help it, especially because he knows Lucifer is most definitely a bit upset about it.

Will tease Lucifer once or twice about it, but will ultimately leave it alone.

When he visits the House of Lamentation, he'll give lucifer a nice pat, hello, but won't go very far beyond that.

Barbatos

Read lucifer's name tag while he was collecting him from the human realm.

Wasn't surprised in the slightest because nothing ever surprises him

Is definitely excited to see everyone's reactions to his name, and is not disappointed.

If given the chance, he will spend hours brushing lucifer's fur and pampering him

but doesn't get the chance to do so often, if ever.

Solomon

Has had a cat named lucifer in the past.

I mean, he's lived hundreds of years, it's not out of the realm of possibilities.

Named his own cat lucifer because he thought it was funny, and the humor hasn't faded since.

So he's very amused by this new lucifer in his life.

Will unabashedly cuddle and play with lucifer whenever he's given the chance.

I mean, this lucifer reminds him of his own cat, so he becomes pretty attached pretty quickly.

Whenever he visits the House of Lamentation, he'll hold lucifer until the very last minute he possibly can, and will be pretty sad when he has to leave.

Will joke about stealing lucifer, may actually try to steal him.

Simeon

Like Levi, Simeon is pretty well versed in human media, so the concept of cats named lucifer isn't new to him.

Still finds it a bit funny nonetheless.

Tells Michael right away.

Likes cats well enough, and, when he's in the House of Lamentation, will seek out a few pets from the kitten

but he doesn't venture to the House of Lamentation too often, so he never grows too close to lucifer.

Luke

WHY? WOULD YOU NAME A CAT? AFTER A DEMON?

There are so many better names for a cat!

Like whiskers, or oreo, or simba.

Is genuinely confused, and maybe even a bit concerned.

He's afraid you were consorting with demons before coming to the Devildom and that's why you named him lucifer.

After his brief stay in the House of Lamentation, Luke is absolutely in love with lucifer.

Plays with him constantly.

Wants to pick him up, but doesn't know how to.

Luke will end up getting scratched eventually, but Luke forgives him.

Bakes lucifer special cat treats and hopes you'll let him feed lucifer one.

Loki Masterlist

Loki had been distant all day, he wasnt in any of the normal places that he normally would have been. You had checked in the library, his room, even the lab none held signs that the god had been there all day.

"Guys, have you by any chance seen Loki?" You asked walking into the living room where your brother and Nat were wrestling, for some unknown reason, Thor and Steve sat watching.

"Tall guy, wears to much green, pointy hat?" Clint choked out from a chokehold. Sometimes you wondered if you were really the oldest with the way he acted.

"Last time I seen my brother he was heading out to the large balcony on the top floor with a rather heavy looking box." Thor called over his shoulder. "No no no Hawkman, you odviously doing it wrong. Let me show you." He said getting up walking over to the two on the floor.

"Whatever, he'll know where to find me I guess." You said jumping over the back of the couch sitting down next to Steve.

"Hey! No jumping on the furniture. I swear its like I live in a house full of kids between you and Parker jumping and flying around." Tony yelled from the kitchen door.

Steve rolled his eyes and looked at you. "Thor is trying to show them some Asguardian fighting moves. Nat picked up pretty fast, your brother on the other hand..."

"He does better in a roost high above the ground. Only reason I use to hate fighting with him is because he could climb higher than I could." You laughed.

"Ok Lord Thunder if you can do better be my guest." Clint took a step back allowing Thor to stand in. Thor gave a bellowing laugh and got in a fighting stance.

"My people invented these moves I can easily take down Nat."

After a few rounds and Thor definitly losing causing the room to howl with laughter at his confusion Loki walked in.

"So the man of mysteries returns. Where have you been darling." You asked as he came to stand beside you.

"Just working on a suprise for you my dearest." He laughed leaning down and kissing the top of your head.

"Please stop, there are young eyes in the room." Clint groaned from a recliner across from you causing you to roll your eyes.

"Yeah, if your going by shoe size." You mocked. Turning to Loki you looked at him. "What does the god of mischief have up his sleave for me?"

"Come dear, I would rather show you." He offered you his hand and you walked from the room.

He lead you to the room where the balcony was located and turned to you. "Close your eyes."

"Ummm why? You planning on pushing me off?" You laughed realizing that he had a serious look on his face. "Nevermind." You closed your eye, as soon as they were shut you felt a cloth wrap around your head. "If you wnted something like this all you had to do was ask." You smirked.

"Oh nine realms y/n. Get your mind out of the gutter for just a little bit." You couldnt see it but you knew he was rolling his eyes. "This is serious." You could hear the smile in his voice.

"Ok fine, serious, I can be serious for like 5 minutes. I cant guarantee the comments that will follow after the time is up though." You laughed.

"Sometimes I feels like I'm dating your brother." He huffed taking your hand and leading you onto the balcony.

"We are basically the same person, I just look alot better than he does in a cat suit." He let go of your hand just after walking out of the door and disappered.

"You know that mouth is one of my favorit things about you." He whispered in your ear cauing your heart to flutter. "Always quick to the punch, it never fails." He said kissing the side of your mouth.

"But my absolute favorit thing about you is your willingness to over look a persons flaws, to give everyone a chance, even if they dont deserve it. You have such an open mind forgiving everyone that you feel need forgiving. Looking for the good in a person and giving that person hope that maybe there is hope left for them." This time he brushed your hair from your neck kissing you behind the ear sending a shiver down your spine.

"Loki you was never a bad person-" you saod trying to defend him aginst hisself

"I brainwashed your brother." He countered. "You didnt just do it for me though. You stood up for Wanda, for Bucky, you stand up for the underdogs that wouldnt have a chance other wise."

"Wanda needed a family, Bucky was Steves best friend and I seen how it hurt him for eveyone to be aginst him. Also brainwashed. Im kinda seeing a pattern here though." You smiled.

"Y/n, honestly would you jusy be quiet for a few more minutes." He sighed.

"Ok, lips are sealed. Continue telling me how great I am." He sighed again pulling you closer to the middle of the balcony.

"You have been my light in the darkest tunnel I had ever been in. When the others shut me out you were always there to let me know I wasnt alone. I could travel to all nine realms and never find another soul as caring and as trust worthy as you, who holds me at night when nightmares wake me up, who actually seen good in me and who has made me a better person." You felt him reach behind you and untie the knot from the blind, you kept your eyes closed as you felt him grab your hand again this time there was a slight pull. "Darling you can open your eyes."

When you opened them you were awestruck with the sight in front of you. Farie lights had been hung from the rafters causing a warm glow around the balcony, ivy and white flowers hand been drapped on the walls givingbthe whole place a cozy feel. You looked at Loki noticing him kneeling in front of you, you opened your mouth to make a comment but quicky shut it not wanting to ruin the moment.

"Y/n Barton there is no one else I would rather travel the nine realms with but you, I would walk across time and space to see you smile. Would you please do me the honor of being my princess? My Queen? For all eternity? Will you marry me?" He pulled out a small black box for his pocket and opened it revealing a silver band entwind with a beautiful type of black metal a small emerald sat nestled between the two holding the jewel in place. Your eyes shot up to his and tears started to flow. You didnt trust you voice in that moment son you simply shook your head.

He was on his feet in no time easily slipping the band on your finger before wrapping his arms around your waist pulling you close to him. You placed your hands on either side of his face pulling him into you for a kiss. "Yes." You mumbled aginst his lips as he smiled into the kiss. "A million times yes!"

"We are going to have a wedding!" Thor yelled from the open door causing you both to jump. You looked up in time to see everyone that had been in the living room crowed around watching the two of you. "Lady y/n, a fine sister you will make!" Thor beamed picking you up into a crushing hug.

"You can have her! Ive had her as a sister long enough." Clint said beside you as he leaned down to kiss you cheek. "Congrats sis."

"You knew didnt you?" You smiled.

"Of course I did. Hes kinda old school, asked if it would be ok if he asked you. Nice guy, once you get past the whole mind control thing." You smacked his in the chest.

"In my defence you did try to shoot me woth an arrow that exploded." Loki said wrapping his arm around your waist.

"Ill take back the approval to marry my sister." He saod looking straight at him.

"No you wont, ive already said yes. Besides he really makes me happy. Truly honestly happy." You smiled looking up at Loki giving him another kiss.

Pandoras thoughts

Mary: Honestly seems like a great person and would love to get to know her more. I imagine if Pandora had traveled and crossed paths with Mary Pre-Entity. She would have been like hey can you DJ at this party I’m throwing. I imagine they could have become pretty good friends to be honest. Plus Pandora is a huge partier, so shed end up being a fan as well x3

Pandora loves to tease the killers in trial and with those perks that Marys got. I imagine if they ended up in trials together and got to each other before the killer did. Tag team big time.

Thomas: She can see that hes guarded and can understand that. Pandora is a pretty sensitive person and can read people well. Shed take her time with Thomas and show him not everyone is as bad as they seem.

She would be extremely patient with him. Have his back when shes able too in trials. That sadomasochist perk really comes in handy for taking hits for team mates x3

Will try to make him laugh in a trial, lets have fun with this. She knows people can see what shes doing. So shes like lets make this as pervy or as funny as possible.

Neo: Loves the aesthetic, oh la la~. x3 Dont know if shed see him without the mask but shed be like oh damn~. anyway...a challenging killer but thats what makes these trials so fun, and Pandora is a glutton for punishment...god that sounds bad...anyway

I imagine shed be annoying to him too. Finding out about his past though would warrant empathy from her. Its not fair shed say, its not fair at all...outside trials she would try to befriend him like shed try with certain other killers.

Irene: You think I’m annoying now....just you wait~. Pandora though loud and very in the spotlight herself....is patient and cunning and knows how to be stealthy. I think at first when learning about Irene she might feel for her but it wouldnt last too long. She can put two and two together...she knows what happened to those people Irene knew...

Selfish people do as selfish people do. And Irene may be an actor but shes an open book.

Pandora wouldnt have much patience for someone like her but annoying the hell out of her would be worth it every time. She might even snap at Irene during trial and bring something up...which might get her killed but she wont care. Irene wants control and is manipulative. And Pandora dont roll with toxic people like that.

Now for Gisela~

her view on life in general has become skewed especially after the betrayal and pain she endured before becoming what she was. During most trials she is herself, I have a look for her that shows when its the Entity I have yet to draw it and post it though so....hopefully soon.

So~

Mary: oh my god, this one is going to be annoying she can already tell. Dont get her wrong in another life these two could have been close. But this is the Entities realm and the Witch is no longer who she used to be.

So shes going to get annoyed with that one perk Marys got x3 I can tell but outside a trial...perhaps but shes quite hard to get close to outside trials.

she tends to stay in her own realm and doesnt even bother going to I assume a killers camp .I like to assume the killers also have a camp like oh man a new day in the entities realm time to head to the camp to see what trials ill get and sometimes they all hang out there. But shes like nah....

But I think she would also be fascinated with Mary, and....impressed. She was never that confident or popular when she was that age. So maybe also some admiration in there. A small part of her from the past still remains it might seem.

In trials she might give Thomas a chance...might..because of the sort of kinship she would feel with him but only somewhat. She has a job to do after all

Despite what John had suggested, Ringo didn't go back to The Helter Skelter the following week; he'd considered it when John sent him yet another late night text but ultimately decided it wasn't the best idea. Spike had been playing on his mind daily and Ringo wasn't sure he was prepared to face him again. Instead he focused on his drumming and searched for a few more students to teach, which were fairly easy to find. Usually Ringo enjoyed his time off, he understood he was lucky that he didn't have to work a 9-5 job just to get by, but recently he wanted his fill his time up as much as possible, to distract himself.

Elizabeth paced by the circle waiting for Marcel and the others to come back. She would have tried texting and calling him, but since she had broken her phone earlier, that was a bit impossible. This had been all her fault. If she hadn't sent Marcel to check on them, maybe they would have had a chance to stop Freya and talk some sense into them. Elizabeth didn't care where Elijah and Freya had gone to. She had gotten her hopes up about getting Davina back and now, she was afraid it may be to late.

"Who broke the circle?" Vincent asked walking into the room. It caused Elizabeth to stop her pacing and look at them.

"Freya and Elijah." She said trying to keep the tears from forming again. "I tried to stop them, but I couldn't."

"My brother?" Kol asked. "Why would he do that?"

"It doesn't matter." Both Marcel and Elizabeth said at the same time.

"We need to resurrect Davina now." Marcel said looking at Kol and Van.

"Van is going to use every bit of his regency power to bring her back." Vincent said looking at Elizabeth.

"Good." Elizabeth replied as she slowly began to pace again.

"I'll get Davina's body." Marcel said before leaving the room.

"Get everything set up." Elizabeth said as she continued to pace. "Be ready for when he gets back. There is no time to waste."

It didn't take them long to repair the circle and get the items Van needed to do the spell. Marcel had been quick in getting Davina's body. He had gently placed her in the center of the circle.

"Okay, its time to begin." Vincent said looking to Van. When the spell began, Elizabeth walked over by Marcel and watched Davina's body. All of them besides Van waited for her to wake up or show some sign that the spell was working.

"Wake up, Davina." Elizabeth said along with the others giving their own encouragement for her to wake up.

When the candles blew out and Van stopped the spell, Elizabeth looked at Van. "What happened?" She asked before looking back at Davina's body.

"Nothing." Van said looking at all of them. "It was like she wasn't there at all." Elizabeth shook her head not wanting to believe it. She looked at Marcel before looking at Vincent and Kol. "The Ancestors must have gotten to her first."

"Where the bloody hell is she?!" Kol asked Van. Van shook his head. He honestly didn't know where Davina was.

"That's it, man." Vincent said getting Kol's attention. "She's gone."

"No, no, no." Marcel said as he entered the circle and went to Davina. Elizabeth shook her head as the tears she had been fighting were now free. She couldn't believe that they couldn't bring Davina back and it had been Freya and Elijah's fault. They had to try it again or else they would have broken their promise to Davina about bringing her back.

Looking up at Van, Elizabeth rushed over to him and pinned him against the wall. "Do it again." She yelled at him.

"I can't." Van said looking afraid of her. "If I had another chance it is gone now."

"Then you just became disposable." Elizabeth said about to shove her hand in his chest when Vincent grabbed a hold of her arm.

"Liz, let him go." Vincent said. "Its over. Davina would have wanted it that way."

Rolling her eyes, Elizabeth wasn't just going to let him go. "Fine." She said with a small smirk growing on her lips. "You want him to live," She grabbed a hold of Van before walking towards a window before throwing him out of it. It earned horrified looks from Vincent "You just didn't say what condition he had to be in to leave here."

"That wasn't what I meant, Liz." Vincent said shaking his head. Elizabeth just shrugged not giving a damn.

Marcel stood, leaving Davina's side and walked towards Kol. "I should have known better than to trust your family." He said pointing a finger at Kol. "You people destroy everything you touch." They watched as Kol walked out of the room and out of the compound.

"Should have held off on the whole 'I hate you speech,'" Elizabeth said looking to Marcel and Vincent. "I would have loved to put a dagger in his heart."

Elizabeth was out on the balcony staring out into the city. It seemed like this exact spot had become her go to spot when things didn't seem to end well. Malakai stood beside her, trying to comfort her.

"It is no way your fault, Liz." He said as he leaned against the railing.

"I know it's not." She said shaking her head slightly. "I only feel that way because Elijah does. I can feel his guilt. That's the one thing about this bond that I didn't think of."

"What?" Malakai asked looking over at her.

"I can't shut his emotions off and just feel my own." She said looking at him.

"Why would you want to?" He asked with a raised eyebrow.

"I know I am angry with him. That he had betrayed me when I had asked for him and Freya to find another way." She shook her head. "But since I feel his guilt and how hates what he has done, it makes me want to forgive him. Every fiber in me is telling me to forgive him but I can't."

"I get that it would take some time to forgive him, but isn't that going to be a bit hard since we live with the man?" Malakai did have a point.

She nodded and sighed. "You're right." She lived in the compound, one moment alone could mean her becoming a complete mess and allowing herself to forgive him. "Maybe I need some time away from here to clear my head a bit."

"Where we going?" He asked with a bit of excitement.

"We aren't leaving New Orleans." She said and watched Malakai's disappointment spread through his features. "Maybe a house to ourselves would be nice for a while."

"You know where ever you go, I go." He said pushing her with his shoulder slightly. She shook her head and pushed back with hers. She took a step back from the railing and turned to walk back inside.

"I'm going to go check on Marcel." She said softly. Malakai nodded and watched as she left.

Elizabeth sat in a chair with a drink in her hand. She watched as Marcel walked up to the counter and drank from a bottle. They didn't say a word to each other. There was nothing they could say to ease the pain they both felt. Elizabeth knew Marcel felt it more. He had spent more time with Davina. She just came into her life.

Elizabeth turned to see Elijah and Klaus walk into the room followed by the shattering of glass as Marcel threw a bottle at the wall. She stood and walked over to Marcel's side trying to think of anything that would calm him down, but nothing came to mind. She looked over at Elijah and Marcel and shook her head.

Marcel looked at her before turning to the Elijah and Klaus. "I did everything you asked." He said looking at both of them before turning to Elijah. "I joined your stupid cult. I left my friends in the dust because that is what you needed."

"Marcel.." Klaus started but Marcel continued.

"I fought for Hope. I kept Hayley breathing. I kept white oak from piercing your cold, black heart. I did everything."

"We know." Elijah said and Marcel shook his head. Elizabeth knew this had been between them. She wasn't going to say anything. Marcel had things to get off his chest and he was doing that. Elizabeth would get her turn soon.

"No you don't." Marcel said shaking his head at Elijah. "No you don't."

"Marcel, he had no choice." Klaus said trying to make Marcel see some reason. But it didn't work. Marcel shook his head and took a step closer to Klaus.

"Oh they were right about you." Marcel continued to walk closer to Klaus until he was standing right in front of him. "Yeah. Aurora, Tristan, Lucien. Anybody that is not your family is nothing to you. Nothing."

"Marcellus, you are family." Elijah said looking at Marcel.

"No I'm not." Marcel replied. "Not anymore." He looked back and forth between Elijah and Klaus. "Never again. I am not your family."

"Marcel." Klaus said as he began to take a step towards Marcel. Elizabeth stepped in front of Marcel and shook her head at Klaus.

"No." She said to Klaus. "That is going to fix nothing." Marcel stepped next to her.

"She's right." Marcel said turning to leave. "It wont." As Marcel walked out of the room he over turned any furniture that was in his way.

"Liz, we are only trying to help." Klaus said looking at Elizabeth.

"You've done enough today." She said looking at Elijah. "She was a daughter to him and he lost her. I lost her. " She tried blinking back the tears that started forming again. "This isn't something that is going to be made okay just because you hug it out. She didn't deserve it!"

"Elizabeth." Elijah said as he took a step towards her. She placed her hand up and he stopped.

"Don't." She said shaking her head. "I don't want your comfort right now."

Klaus looked between the two. "I'll leave you two alone for a moment." He said before walking out of the room.

Elijah sighed. "Tell me what I can do."

"You could have found another way!" She yelled. "Lucien could have been put off for another day. You could have done the right thing by Marcel, by me and helped Davina come back to us. But you didn't."

"I could not just let my brother die, Elizabeth." He said shaking his head.

"She was a child! Your brother has lived several life times! But I get it," She said wiping the tears that had fallen down her cheeks. "Always and Forever only applies to those that have 'Mikaelson' as their last name or when you are with one."

Elijah looked down and sighed. "If the situation had been reversed, what would you have done?" Elijah asked looking back up at her.

"If three people that I cared about begged me to help bring back the person they love, I would have done it. If my bigger problem had surfaced, I would have found a way to take care of both. I wouldn't have said to hell with one and worry about the other." She said trying to keep herself calm but it was failing. Elijah took a few steps towards her and pulled her into a hug.

At first, she didn't stop him. She just wanted to be held and she no longer cared. She had let herself go and began crying. While she had been crying since earlier, it had been where she had broke down completely. This time she had and as she cried, Elijah had only rubbed her back. He said nothing or did nothing else. He just held her. It was when Elizabeth realized that there was a part of her that was about to forgive him that she pulled back from him and took a few steps back. She shook her head slightly as she looked at him. There was confusion on his face. He had thought she would be okay. He could clearly see now that he had been wrong.

"I can't forgive you right now." She said softly. "It is going to take some time." She watched as he nodded slightly. Without him saying another word, Elizabeth walked out of the room and out of the compound as Elijah watched her leave.

Elizabeth found herself at Marcel's loft. She walked in and leaned against the entry way where Marcel was looking out the window. "Care for some company?" She asked taking a few steps into the room.

"I figured you would have been either arguing with Elijah or letting him comfort you." Marcel said still looking out the window.

"I did argue with him." She said as she walked to his side. "And I began to allow him to comfort me, but then I chose not to forgive him. And I left."

"And you chose to come here?" He asked looking over at her with a raised eyebrow.

"We are both hurt by what they did, Marcel. I thought you wouldn't want to be alone right now."

"You are welcome to stay." He said with a slight shrug. "Just don't start saying that they did what they had to."

Elizabeth shook her head. "Those words wont be coming out of my mouth anytime soon." And they wouldn't be. She knew Elijah had chose to save Klaus instead of Davina. But that left them in a position where Elizabeth felt betrayed. She never wanted Davina to be gone. She took a step back and walked over to where Marcel had his drinks. She poured herself and Marcel a glass and walked back to the window. Handing him his glass, she gave a small smile. "To Davina." Marcel only nodded before taking a drink from the glass.

Hayley knocked on the wall and looked around the room. Elijah looked up at her and sighed.

"Come in." He said taking a drink from his cup.

"Where is Elizabeth at?" Hayley asked taking a few steps into the room.

"I'm not sure." He admitted. "Malakai is trying to get her to come back home."

"Why aren't you trying?" She asked out of curiosity.

Elijah looked down at his glass for a moment. "Put yourself in her shoes, Hayley. If your mate helped keep a loved one from coming back from the dead, or stopped you from trying to kill the person who killed that loved one, them?" Elijah wanted to be where Elizabeth was. He wanted to comfort her. He had hoped that she felt the worry that filled him, as well as the guilt. He wanted to let her know how sorry he was for all of this. He just wish he could say it to her instead of her just feeling what he is.

Hayley sighed taking a seat next to him. "You really care about her don't you?"

"Yes." Elijah said looking over at Hayley. "I do. When she had first came to New Orleans, she seemed to change things with me. And when she had the spell done and we got the link between us restored, I felt everything I did the last time I saw her."

"Before she came here, when was the last time you saw her?" Hayley asked. She never bothered to ask much about their history, all the times she wondered about it, she stopped herself from asking.

"I left her in a village with my blood in her system. Mikael was looking for us and instead of taking her with us, I left her there." Elijah said with a slight nod. "I knew that if she died, she would come back and if things settled down, I'd go looking for her. I never did."

"She could have came looking for you." Hayley said with a shrug.

Elijah chuckled. "She did. But each time she did, she never once made herself known. "

"Why?" she asked with a raised eyebrow.

"That is a part of the mystery with Elizabeth." Elijah said standing from his spot. "She's always cared for others but if they had shown her a glimpse of happiness in their life, she never intervened."

"This time she did."

"Yes, only because my life and hers were on the line. If it had not, I'm not sure she would be here right now." Elijah began to walk out of the room when Hayley asked a question that stopped him from doing it.

"Do you love her?" She asked. He turned and looked at Hayley for a moment before looking away and walking out of the room.

"Marcel?" Malakai called through the loft as he made his way in.

"If you are here for Liz, she's right here having a drink." Marcel called out. When Malakai entered the room, Marcel and Elizabeth were sitting in chairs across from each other. They both had tears in their eyes.

Malakai sighed. "Elijah asked me to look for you." He said and it caused Elizabeth to shake her head. "I was also worried about where you had run off to. I know how you hate to be a lone."

"I'm not alone though, Kai." Elizabeth said with a small smile. "I'm here with Marcel. He shouldn't be alone either."

Before anyone else could say anything, Vincent walked into the room. His eyebrow raised as he looked at everyone. "Seems like a party here."

"No," Marcel said shaking his head. "It was just me and Liz, then you two showed up."

"Sorry to have interrupted." Vincent said. "May I have a quick word, Marcel."

"I'm not really in the mood for discussing anything." Marcel said taking a drink from his glass.

"I promise I wont take much of your time." Vincent said. Marcel eyed him for a moment before standing up and leading Vincent to another room to speak to him. Once they had left the room, Malakai went and sat down next to Elizabeth.

He could see the look on her face and he knew it very well. "Alright, tell me exactly what is on that mind of yours before you drive yourself insane."

It had taken her a moment to even get her thoughts in order. There was so much going on in her head that she wasn't quite sure she could explain it. "I feel so many emotions that I don't know how to calm it down, Kai." Elizabeth said with tears rolling down her cheeks. "I feel scared, and I feel betrayed." She shook her head slightly. "I thirst for revenge and yet at the same time all I want to do just break down and cry because I lost her. I feel his guilt and I feel the worry and the love. But all of these emotions are making me feel so crowded in my own head that I don't know what to do."

"I think you are just tired of feeling everything, Liz." Malakai said with a sigh. "It's been a long day."

"Tell me how to get it to stop ,Kai." There was a pleading in her voice.

"Talk to him." He said placing his hand on her shoulder. "You know talking to him makes you feel better."

"I can't right now." She said shaking her head. "As much as I want to, I can't"

"Why not?" He asked curiously. Elizabeth didn't answer right away. Malakai noticed it and watched her for a moment. It seemed as if she had left her head for a bit. "Liz?"

"Yes?" She asked shaking her head slightly and looking at him.

"Why cant you go talk to Elijah?" He asked.

"Because the moment I get back there and we try to talk it out, I'll forgive him." Elizabeth said softly. "I'm not ready to forgive him."

"I don't know how to help than." Malakai was starting to worry about her.

"Maybe I can help." Marcel said walking back into the room holding up a bottle.

"I don't know how you'll help Marcel." Malakai said watching as he walked toward them. "You both are having a hard time controlling your emotions."

"And that is why the bottle of the good stuff will help." Marcel said looking at both of them. "We can forget about it all tonight and start fresh tomorrow."

Malakai looked over at Elizabeth and she nodded. "It's okay." She said softly. "You can go back to the compound. I'm sure I'll be there soon." Sighing, Malakai nodded and turned to leave Marcel's loft.

"You left her with Marcel?" Elijah asked with an eyebrow raised.

"She wanted to stay." Malakai said nodding. "They wanted to grieve their lost loved one. While I told them they weren't really going to help each other out since their emotions were all out of control, she wanted to stay. " He wasn't going to mention that they planned to drink themselves away until they forgot what happened. "What was I supposed to do, throw her over my shoulder against her will and bring her home?"

"Would have been interesting to see." Klaus said from his seat.

"I should go talk to her." Elijah said starting to leave the courtyard.

"I wouldn't." Malakai said sighing. "If you still feel that she is feeling hurt and betrayed, I'd wait until she comes and finds you."

"I cannot let her keep feeling the way she is, Malakai." Elijah said shaking his head.

"She is feeling this way because you decided to say 'to Hell with Davina.'" Malakai said. "If she had forgiven you for doing so, she'd be right here with us. "

"Maybe this is what she needs." Hayley said. "Like Malakai said, she wanted to be around someone who was feeling the same way she was. Let them grieve."

Elijah shook his head sighing. Without a word, he walked up stairs and headed into his study. Freya looked at the others before standing from her seat to go talk to Elijah. She knew she might be able to calm him down and if she had to, she would bring Elizabeth here.

"There is always a way to get it all to stop." Marcel said looking out the window.

"You mean drinking yourself into oblivion and hope that you forget about it in the morning?" Elizabeth asked shaking her head. "I thought that was what we were doing."

"No." He said turning to look at her. "I was thinking something else completely. To feel numb to it all." Elizabeth tilted her head as she looked at him. It took her a moment before Elizabeth was able to understand what he meant.

"That isn't freedom from what I feel. That is a temporary release and with the bond I'm sure it will follow." She said looking out the window.

"Bond or no bond, it stops you from feeling anything for a while." He took another drink from his glass. "I'd love to do it myself, but I'm not the one being surrounded by unnecessary emotions." He paused for a moment and Elizabeth caught the slight smirk that formed on his lips. "Just think of all the fun you'll have after when all is said and done."

Elizabeth continued to look out the window thinking about what Marcel said. There was something so appealing about the idea. It wasn't freedom from what she felt. She knew that. If she did this, she would have to face it later down the road. That wouldn't be tomorrow or the next day. It would come when she was ready for it. She had tried so hard to never let herself slip. Now, it seemed like the easiest thing to do and she was willing to do it.

"None of this would have happened if we had just found a different way." Elijah said pacing the study in front of the balcony doors. "I wouldn't have hurt her. Our brother and Marcel would not be angry with us. There must have been something we could have done."

"What else was there, Elijah?" Freya said as she stood in the middle of the room, watching him. "Lucien was ready to kill Niklaus by the time we reached them. If we had waited any longer, we wouldn't have another brother. Elizabeth will come around. She can't stay mad at you, you said so yourself."

"I'm not sure it will be the same this time. I betrayed her. It will-" Elijah stopped himself. A feeling spread through him and it caused him to place his hand on his chest. He knew it had something to do with Elizabeth.

"What is it?" Freya asked walking towards him.

"It's Elizabeth." He said now very concerned about her. He could feel that she wasn't in any danger. It wasn't like when he had felt her neck being snapped or when Kol had her in a choke hold. This feeling had been completely different.

"Is she in trouble?" Freya looked at Elijah for a moment before looking towards the door. "Kai!" She yelled out.

"She's not in any danger." Elijah said looking at Freya. But the look in eyes said something was wrong. Elijah knew Elizabeth was feeling almost every emotion because of the day's events and his betrayal, but now, there was nothing. There was no sadness, no anger, no betrayal. It had all just left her. But the feeling that had spread through him told him this wasn't just because she no longer felt it. It was because she chose not to. That alone actually made Elijah afraid.

"What is it Elijah?" Freya asked and Elijah shook his head looking out towards the balcony and then back into the room. He needed to get to where she was. He needed to find a way to undo what had just been done.

"What's going on?" Malakai asked as he entered the room, followed by Hayley and Klaus. Malakai seen the look on Elijah's face and worry spread through him. "Is she okay?"

"She is not in any danger," Elijah began to say.

"I hear a 'but' coming." Malakai said crossing his arms as he watched Elijah pick up his coat.

"When was the last time Elizabeth ever felt numb to anything?" Elijah asked Malakai purposely not adding in the 'but' he had been waiting for as he started to head towards the door.

"She never has." Malakai said but it had come out as a question. He was more confused now. "What does that have to do with what is happening with her now?"

Elijah hadn't answered him. While Klaus had been listening, it registered in his mind what Elijah had been talking about. His eyes widened a bit as he looked at the others in the room while Elijah walked out to go get Elizabeth. "She's turned it off."

Waking up to texts from the guy you switched lives with was like waking up to texts from a needy girlfriend. Except instead of affectionate “good morning”s, you get things like, “Oh god. Try not to ruin my channel thx 😅” and other things like, “Don’t worry about Sean. He’s a good guy and he’s helped Bella through a lot. They’re friends and nothing more.”  Oh wait, that’s what Tom needed to know. It was vital information about this life. Well, Sean was already gone, so maybe it wasn’t as important to know now, but still.

There were two more. One made his heart ache. “You have the most beautiful dog and I love her.” Tom missed his little Tess more than anything. He was supposed to be one cuddling with her.

The next one read: “Also this time zone difference is insane, I’m never gonna sleep.”

Tom decided to leave him on read, since he had nothing new to report. Then, he thought about what he had to do today, and a bout of nerves formed in his stomach. Today, he had to successfully record a video as Ethan Nestor. Why was this more stressful than being on a movie set? Why did this make him want to shit his pants more than giving a speech at an awards show, or going to a movie premiere?

There was literally no one else in the room, and Tom was anxious about how he would sound and act. How far could binge watching a bunch of videos late at night get him? Would Ethan’s fans figure out what was really going on? Tom’s own fans were frighteningly incredible at playing detective, he could only guess what Ethan’s would be like. He hadn’t even checked how people reacted to the video that was posted today.

After looking through the files on the computer, Tom stumbled across a game titled “Dream Daddy.” What the fuck kind of games was this guy into? He looked into it a little more, and then discovered what exactly this game was and who made it. Wasn’t really helpful, but what choice did he have?

He also had to Google search how to record the computer screen, cursing Sonji under his breath as he did so. Why did she specifically choose Tom and Ethan to switch? Why couldn’t it have been two nobodies with boring office jobs?

A spark of curiosity hit him. Tom typed “swapping lives” in the search engine, only to receive links to a fiction book with that very title. Next, he tried “soul swapping,” and that was when the Internet connection decided to dramatically slow down.

“Sonji,” Tom whispered as he narrowed his eyes. Whatever, he had more important things to do anyway.

Once he turned on the camera and lights, Tom began right away. He opened the game, and was pleasantly surprised at the dreamlike, whimsical music that started playing. He did a little dance to the music, completely bullshitting what he was doing. It works, right?

He got the god awful intro out of the way. “What is up my cranky crew? It’s Ethan from CrankGameplays and today we are here in Dream Daddy: A Dad Dating Simulator!”

The game was actually really fun. Good story, good dialogue.Tom made sure to comment on all of it as he played. He almost made himself as a dad before remembering that he was pretending to be somebody else. This daddy had to have blue hair and glasses. Yes, he had discovered how blind Ethan was after driving in his car a couple of times.

Anyway, recording was the easy part. He just had to act extra dorky and say “oh boy!” every now and again. He also made up a story about having a “horse phase.” Editing was where things got tricky. Firstly, the facecam footage was corrupted, and took ages to get it all back. Then, it was out of sync with the gameplay, which was even more confusing because the last video didn’t have this problem. Cutting out footage was harder than it should have been. It was a nightmare, and Tom grew more and more irritated as he went through it. Lastly, timing the ridiculously long outro music with Ethan’s equally god awful outro phrase (“So thank you guys so much for watching! Hope you enjoyed it, if you did make sure to slap that like button right in the face and I will see you guys in the next video! Love you all, stay cranky, bye!”) was a fucking challenge. Tom just didn’t get it. Wasn’t this supposed to be easy?

Somehow, he got the video done by the noon. Even after that, he had to make a thumbnail on Photoshop after noticing all the ones on the other videos. So Tom had to learn how to use another program as well. He needed a nap after getting through all of it.

Just as he started to come down from the stress, his phone started to blow up. Tom snatched the device from the desk and unlocked it, hoping to hear from Ethan. Instead, it was three different texts from Bella, Mark, and Amy.

Bella: “Good video today!! Are you coming over?”

Mark: “Oh so you decided to keep your channel going. Feel up to coming back to work yet? No rush.”

Amy: “We still on for tomorrow?”

That last message would have been very concerning, had Tom not remembered that Amy was Mark’s girlfriend. The only person he responded to was Bella. After that, he got ready to go.

There are plenty of things you don’t really think about when you switch lives with another person. Well, you think of the main things like, general personality, the person’s friends and significant others, their job. You don’t really think about things like how this person responds and reacts to their fans. You don’t think about their attention span, the way they fidget, or which leg they put into their jeans first. You don’t think about how they act with their friends versus how they act with their significant other. You really don’t think about what kind of gift he would get for his girlfriend on their six month anniversary.

Tom was bloody lucky that Bella hadn’t heard him enter her apartment that afternoon. He overheard her making a video in her bedroom, where he heard the words “get ready with me,” “date night,” and “anniversary.” Panicked, Tom bolted out of the building, hopped back in the car, and drove off to the closest mall. Part of him wanted to call Ethan and yell at him for not telling him about this, he had the chance to when his phone dinged four times on the ride to the mall. Tom was just trying hard to think up a decent gift on his own. They couldn't help each other, correct?

Eventually, he found something. It wasn’t much, but he could only hope that she wouldn’t mind. Tom had already fucked up with her once, he couldn’t do it again. Apparently, not only was a Pop Funko Spider-Man keychain a decent gift, it was sentimental and perfect for Bella. She nearly teared up when Tom brought it to her later on.

This anxiety thing she had must have been really serious. Bella told him all about how she hadn’t been to the cinema in years because of her panic attacks, and that Homecoming was the first movie she had seen from start to finish without any anxious interruptions. She was very proud of that, and she was happy that she experienced it with Ethan.

If only Ethan were here to see this moment… Actually, he could.

Bella fell asleep later in the afternoon. She was squashed between Tom and the back of the sofa, sleeping somewhat soundly on his chest, or practically on top of him. The physical affection was nice, but Tom wished it was someone else. Thankfully, he had his phone in his hand, so he was able to open the new messages he got literally behind his girlfriend’s back.

He had five new messages, four were the ones from Ethan earlier today, and the last one was from someone called Parker.

“Signed a billion posters, pls work on your signature it’s so much longer than it has to be dude.” Oh please, at least Tom signs his actual name as opposed to Ethan, who apparently signs things with his YouTube name.

“You’ve got a great family dude. Really, they’re all great.” Tom missed his family too. His missed his mother's pancakes.

“On my way to Montreal now for Chaos Walking pre shooting stuff i don’t really know.” That's going to be an adventure.

“I swear if I have to work out I’ll die alright gn?”

Tom rolled his eyes and sent something back. “Thought I completely fucked up your relationship, but it’s all good now!” As a follow up, he added: “Now I’ll be spending my six month anniversary with the missus! Night mate x”

He attached a photo of his current position, giving a smug expression to the camera. Ethan will get a kick out of that, that’s for sure.

“Who ya texting?” asked the sleepy girl lying on him, who could hear the ticking of the keyboard.

Tom was busy reading the next message, it was a little confusing. First of all, who the hell is Parker? Second of all, what the hell did Tom have to do with him tomorrow? And why did it involve Amy? What was with all these “don’t forget tomorrow”s? Why couldn’t anyone be straight up anymore?

I’m looking at you, Sonji, Tom thought just as his phone dinged, indicating that an email had arrived.

I love players with club love. Love it. Since it’s so rare these day. I love how Luis still talks about Ajax with love. It’s the same here as an Ajax-fan we would welcome Luis with open arms again. 

Nothing wrong with club love and staying where you were made into a champ. Leo started at a top club and he made it to the top and still is the best. I think the argument that he should went to other leagues is so overrated. If you see how long he’s been at the top that answers the whole question. No other player accomplishes that.

Well UEFA will officially look into it and whatever happens or where he gets the monet from that company in Qatar can’t be affiliated to PSG otherwise they will breach the FFP. Or they will have to sell players hence why they probably are offering us Di Maria and other players we dont need.

The Suplex Study: Week Of 24/4/17

This week in the world of WWE, new jackets, dumpsters, belt theft, and a WWE Studios film worth watching

Raw

If you wanna start off the show on a high, Chris Jericho is the man to do it. Jericho attempted to host his show, the Highlight Reel, until The Miz came out to interrupt. As Miz attempted to hijack the segment and transform it into Miz TV, Dean Ambrose appeared. He instead brought in his set, as Miz TV then became the Ambrose Asylum (no Mitch tho, sad). To replace the one he destroyed months ago. Ambrose would gift Jericho a new light up jacket, a regular jacket with fairy lights stuck to it. Miz protested about his segment being taken over, getting hit with the Dirty Deeds for his trouble. So the main event was set, Ambrose & Jericho vs The Miz and a partner of his choosing. I love both Jericho and Ambrose so this opener was gold for me. But this pairing would have another hilarious moment later. Matt Hardy vs Sheamus Last week, we had Jeff Hardy vs Cesaro, so no we have the other tag team partners duel it out. Both men had a solid match, not as good as last week’s one but good in it’s own right. The interesting moments came with the closing of the match. Matt was outside of the ring as he brother came to check on him. Sheamus proceeded to throw Jeff out of the way as he got Matt back into the ring. This led to Jeff and Cesaro bumping heads, as the distraction allowed Matt to hit the Twist Of Fate for the win. Afterwards, both teams argue before cooler heads prevail, and they shake hands. With the tag titles being defended at Payback, lets hope that is the time we finally see the Broken gimmick.

Neville & TJ Perkins vs Austin Aries & Jack Gallagher

Not a bad match, but nothing special either. Neville and Aries have been doing their up most best to keep this division a float. With 205 Live having very bad viewer numbers, I hope that things get better, as their is way too much great talent to squander.

Braun Strowman vs Kalisto in a Dumpster Match Probably the biggest talking point of this week’s Raw. Last week, during Strowman’s rampage, Kalisto was beaten up and thrown into a nearby dumpster. This week, Kalisto challenges Strowman to this new match. Looking at other articles from wrestling sites, alot of people seem to HATE this match. Personally, I couldnt bring myself to despise it so much. Before and during the match, Kalisto in one fell swoop came across as the ultimate babyface. He was disrespected and therefore, wanted retribution. Now one criticism I’ve seen about Strowman is that in his matches, there are many moments he could end the match but doesn’t. This certainly was the case here as Kalisto was able to get a decent chunk of offense, nevermind even being able to win the match. It was at this point where Kalisto to me looked like he was going to be a big star, then that thought went away pretty quickly after. Enraged, Strowman pummeled Kalisto, throwing him in the dumpster. He wheeled it up to the titantron and pushed it off the stage. It makes you wonder what was even the point of having Kalisto win, by a fluke even, if the end outcome is for Strowman to get his heat back seconds later. The match itself I enjoyed, but the outcome just made the whole thing kinda pointless in the end. Alicia Fox vs Dana Brooke To give this a positive, I am happy that there is more than one women’s storyline in this show. It makes the roster alittle bit more fleshed out. That aside, I didn’t care about this match until the ending. Brooke ended the match with a very sloppy looking Michinoku Driver, I went from being uninterested to being enraged. I have no idea who thought it would be a good idea to let Brooke do that move, but I never want to see it again!

Samoa Joe, Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson vs Seth Rollins, Big Cass & Finn Balor The match was going to have Enzo Amore instead, but a sneak attack outside the ring made him unable to compete. Instead, we got Finn Balor instead. The match itself was fine, with Rollins debuting a new finishing move. Problem is it’s been kinda dull seeing Balor return when he has not been in any noteworthy matches. Hopefully things will be alot more entertaining when he is finally able to begin his feud with Bray Wyatt. As for Enzo, well maybe I’m biased but I can’t bare seeing him used a glorified jobber. He maybe still rough in the ring but he is more over then Roman Reigns will ever be. Surely he can be used better than this.

Sasha Banks vs Alexa Bliss

Before the match, we had a segment with Bliss, Bayley and Banks in the ring. Bliss called Banks apparent friendship with Bayley into question, leading to this match. Banks controlled most of the match, leading to Bliss getting herself counted out. Bayley would try to get Bliss back into the ring but would get blindsided by her instead. Bliss’ character is a welcome sight on TV, but the real feud will be Bayley vs Sasha. WWE haven’t done the best job with this, as no one is buying for a second that Banks isn’t just wanting to get the title off of Bayley.

Curt Hawkins vs Apollo Crews Nothing really to say about this, except it is nice to see Crews actually doing something. Not sure yet how I feel about an eventual Crews vs O’Neil fued, but I think Crews is too underrated to not be on TV, so I’m OK with it for now. Chris Jericho & Dean Ambrose vs The Miz & ???

Before I go into the match, I must say that the dynamic between Jericho and Ambrose made Raw enjoyable for me. The segment where Ambrose tried to get off the list was not only funny, but it had something that is often lacking in WWE, continuity. The pair brought up their history together and the feud they had, which is much better than just pretending like it never happened. This wasn’t really a match however, more of a farce. The Miz’s mystery partner didn’t come out initially when intended, so Miz had to fight in a handicap match. As he tried to leave, Ambrose caught up to him and teased putting him threw the announce table. Suddenly he was stopped by the mystery partner, Bray Wyatt. Wyatt laid out, Ambrose, Jericho and even the Miz to end the show. This made no sense on so many levels. Why would Bray team with Miz? Why wouldn’t he come out at first? Why did the match just end with no resolution? This was a big letdown, no one really looked good coming out of this, not even Wyatt. It would have been fine if it was a straight tag team match, but WWE tried to be more clever then they could pull off. As a go home show before Payback, this didn’t get me excited for it.

Smackdown

We begin with Shinsuke Nakamura coming out to the ring, with Renee Young ready to interview him. Before Nakamura was able to say a word, Dolph Ziggler comes out. Ziggler then cuts an awful promo, comparing Nakamura to Michael Jackson. The segment ends after the two come to blows and Ziggler dodging the Kinshasa before running away. I still have faith in this eventual match stealing the show come Backlash, but this build has been nibbling away at my patience. Nakamura has yet to compete yet since debuting on the main roster, it would really be good to show the audience why this man is meant to be a big deal.

AJ Styles vs Baron Corbin After last weeks countout result, Styles and Corbin went at it again in a rematch. Kevin Owens, once again was on commentary, providing some amazing soundbites. Like last week, this was a pretty good match, Corbin especially seems really comfortable keeping up the pace. Styles would get the roll up win but would be attacked by Owens and Corbin. Sami Zayn tried to make the save, hitting Corbin with the Helluva Kick, but got beat down by Owens for his troubles. My major nitpick is why hasn’t Zayn gone after Jinder Mahal, who cost him a chance at the title last week? It would have made more sense to have Zayn have a grudge match with Mahal, even if it meant jobbing out to make Mahal look strong. Instead, Zayn now has a feud with Corbin (not a bad thing) and Mahal still doesn’t seem like a threat. American Alpha vs The Colons: Beat The Clock Challenge To take on the Usos for their Tag Team Titles, we had two of these matches. While this was a decent match, it’s kind of weird that American Alpha got the win after having trouble with the Colons last week. As for them, The Colons seem to similar to the Usos in gimmick. If this division is to get back on track, alittle distinction between the two would certainly help.

Randy Orton vs Erick Rowan: No DQ match

This was a good match, tables, a kendo stick, lots of plunder to pop the crowd. The noteworthy stuff came afterwards. As Orton beat Rowan, Jinder Mahal came out and did the typical anti-American rant. Himself and the Bollywood Boys beat up Orton, and even stole away his title. In fairness, that is some pretty good heel heat. However, Mahal still doesn’t appear as a threat to Orton. They guy has lost nearly all of his matches since returning to WWE, so it’s a big stretch that title match come Backlash wont be just onesided. There is still time for Mahal to win some matches, have him look like there is a real danger that Orton could lose to him. To add to this tangent, I discovered that Mahal has a pretty large following in India. I can understand the people being happy about a prominent Indian star in the company, but I don’t get how they can be invested in his portrayal. With all the social media posts about tryouts in India and this new market they are pursuing, I feel WWE owe the people of India alittle better in terms of storytelling. The Ascension vs Breezango: Beat The Clock Challenge

To get my biased out of the way, I love Breezango. Fandango and Tyler Breeze are far too underutilized, so it’s great to see them getting a title shot. With that said, it’s still an odd choice. The match made sense, Ascension tried to win as quickly as they could with some hard hitting moves from the start, only for Breezango to steal a win out of the blue. Like with Jinder Mahal, WWE expect the viewers to buy into a jobber at being in contention for a title shot. However, with a face turn, Breezango could go on to be an over comedic team. Even if they don’t win the belts, which I doubt they will. Smackdown Women’s Title Match: Charlotte vs Naomi

Not only did we see Charlotte earn her shot at the Women’s title, but we also saw the seeds sowed for a new stable. The match itself was very good, with two great female workers in the ring. Sadly, it would end with a no contest as Natalya, Carmella and Tamina rushed the ring, beating up the combatants. There haven’t been many women’s factions in WWE so there is a possibility that this could work. One thing going against this though is the small number of women on the Smackdown roster, it would help out if there were more. But giving the women’s division the main event slot certainly helps get the team over, we can only see where WWE takes this. Smackdown was technically the better show, as they set up some new plot threads and began new feuds. However, Raw won me over thanks to the comedic banter of Ambrose and Jericho, despite some extremely bizarre booking in most of the matches. It’s hard to say which show won, but it really should be Smackdown. Raw would have won it if it wasn’t for the fact this is the go home show for Payback. The whole point is to get me excited for the PPV, and after watching Raw, I wasn’t.

Vince McMahon Movie

This week, the news broke that WWE Studios would be producing a biopic of the company’s owner, Vince McMahon. The cynical side of me wonders how detailed are they gonna make this film, or even what moments won’t be featuring. With final go ahead going to the boss, I can imagine certain plot points in McMahon’s life being glossed over. Some moments arguably viewers would be very intrigued to see. With that said, McMahon’s story is certainly a compelling one to tell. I like many self respecting wrestling fan, will make this film an essential watch.

That’s all for this week, let’s just hope the House Of Horrors match doesn’t turn out to be awful.

58. The story of us

I’ve been wanting to write this post for 3 days now, ever since me and asian boy officially ended things. And as I sit here writing this, knowing this is the last time I want to (whether it will be or not is another question) write and reflect on him, I am filled with a deeper sadness. It was only 4 months, but it was the wildest 4 months of my life, and it has left me sitting here on the edge of a cliff looking into the great abyss of the universe.

And as i set out to write this post I decided to follow the ‘asian boy’ tag on my blog, and two things stood out to me. Firstly it seems like he was a major preoccupation of my mind for the longest time. From my first post about him, about our first date, to this one my obsession, my thoughts, my actions all seemed to delve deeper and deeper into him. A total of 16 posts are about him, pretty much the entirety of the 50′s tag on my blog. And secondly I realised how violent and chaotic my feelings for him were. How overwhelming, how all consuming. This has never happened to me before, and maybe its a refreshing change. We all need that one love of our lives dont we.

I’ve been writing a lot of letters recently, the words initially difficult to find now flow out of my fingers as they would normally. And across all of those writings I have written about the story of us. The story of how we met late one sunday evening in February. How we walked across great lengths, biked even greater distances. How we talked, and spoke to each other, how we listened, shared and held. How we were quick to jump in, wanting more, wanting to feel, wanting that big greatness. The early days are always the best. But i think we had great late days aswell. Working together, lying together, counting every freckle on his back, tracing his jaw live, the shape of his mouth, the dark hues of brown that colour his eyes. And my favourite thing, running my hand through that hair of his, dark black, jet black even, shaved sides, almost bald as I would often joke.

But this is not a descriptive post, neither is this a post about remembering him and how things were (ok maybe a little bit). But more so this is about the story of us, a smaller part of the story of me. Why did he make me feel so much? That was a question I asked myself a lot across the time that i knew him. How and why did he make me feel so much. Who did he think he was showing up, out of nowhere, to rip up everything inside me, and set me ablaze, a storm of emotion raging inside me. And who was he to make me go crazy over him, to psychoanalyse every text, every message, every meeting. To begin overthinking into the greatest depths of my mind. To plan a future with him, and then just for safety a future without him.

He was something else indeed. But more than anything he helped me write the story of me. Through him, and through what we had, I found out more and more and more about myself. I discovered hidden rooms, hidden nooks and crannies in the deepest parts of my mind, of my emotions. I discovered I was someone I didnt like in relationships. I was obsessive, I was slightly in need of control, I couldnt just sit by and watch things happen. I was afraid to be vulnerable to the point where i would rather eat my feelings and stew in my hot mess than say anything to him. And more than anything else I was insecure and an overthinker. I write all of this in the past tense, but it is all still true for me today, I am all of those things.

But I was/am all of those things only for him. Why. What was it about his stupid asian face, and his adorable bubbly personality and his ridiculously smart brain that made me like this. I think for the first time in a relationship, across all my relationships, I finally reciprocated and got feelings of my own. With my most recent ex (white boy) I didnt even shed a single tear. I simply brushed it off and got on with things. But with him, with asian boy, here I am on the third day still crying. 

Our ending was as if it was written by God himself. Maybe he felt like he owed it to me after giving me something and then taking it away. I’ve read our last messages atleast 4 times now. We were always better communicators of our emotions over message. 24 hours after we ended things in person, he messaged. And we talked for 3 hours like we’ve never talked before. And i wanted him so badly but also I want him to be ok so badly. I wanted him to brush me off, say he was fine and that he was going on with his day. I wanted him to message me yesterday. I want him to message me today. I dont know how long ill keep wanting this. I dont know how long I will be on this rollercoaster of being fine and then hurting. My eyes burn from all the tears they have shed for him, for us. 

He wants us to try again in the future, when our lives are slightly more stable. He intends to message me in 2 months when we’ve both had a chance to heal. I dont think either of these things will happen. I know he means well, and he is heartbroken and he misses me, and he wants everything to go back to normal, as badly as I want all of this again. But that pain is in the now. In the future it wont be there, there will be nothing. There will be no urge to message me, no urge to stay in touch and find out how I’m doing. And that makes me sad. I want him in my life forever. I want him around, i want to hear from him, i want to see him, i want to see what he does and what amazing heights he achieves. But maybe this is for the best. He will have healed, and he will feel no compulsion to text me. And I can live with that. I can live knowing he is doing well and that he has healed and that he will continue healing, and he will move on from me, and he will find someone else and he will live a happy life. That is what i want for him. Regardless of how I feel and what i feel and how bad and shitty this might make me feel that is what I want for him. I want him to be ok. I want him to be better than ok. I want him to be amazing, and he will be. And if God sees fit, maybe i’ll see him again, but if not I can rest and wallow in my pain knowing he is doing well.

It's amazing what can change in a year, how a love you thought would finally win would crumble overnight.

I don't regret our relationship, but I can't help but wonder what would have happened if we never got back together. It took me so long to find myself again, to not have my heart feel so fragile after 6 months of late night mistakes and saying things we really shouldn't. I finally found myself, but then you found me again. You decided you were ready, that you wanted to try again and it would be real this time. I can't help but wonder if I was a fool, to think you'd really change.

But our 10 months together was real. It was different than before because we never fought, I never went home crying (maybe only a few times), I was never wondering whether you'd make it through the night, because you were mine, and I was yours. We were in this together. We travelled together, we surprised each other, we supported each other. I didn't care what anyone else said. They told me not to give you another chance after you broke my heart twice. Why should I risk it a third time?

I've always been told I am a good person, so so good and pure. Even you said it. And people keep telling me now. I think it's my greatest strength, and biggest downfall because I see the good in people, and try so hard to believe in it. I'm starting to wonder whether that makes me blind? Am I so determined in helping people and making them happy that I fail to see what's really wrong? I already know that it's detrimental to me, because I continue to put my feelings aside to make people happy. I don't want to make things worse, so I will do anything to make sure they're okay, even if it means I suffer. Does it make me a bad person? Does it make me blind?

I always asked if you were happy, because deep down I was scared. Twice before you broke up with me because of yourself, you weren't ready and you thought I deserved better. Out of nowhere. You wouldn't dare consider how I felt because you were doing the 'right thing'. And that's where I think you always go wrong. You're selfish in what you think of yourself. You have your whole life planned out, and if you're not making enough progress you become self destructive, pushing away the things and people you need most. I mean you've done it to me three times, you can say whatever you want, but I know that. I asked if you were happy because I needed reassurance that you wouldn't push me away, to let history repeat itself. But you did. And I can't help but wonder if you lied to me every time I asked.

And now I'm left broken because I gave all of myself to you. It was supposed to be different this time. And the worst of all I'm embarrassed. Because I have to go around and tell my family, my friends, the people at work, that you fucking did it again. And people say that I shouldn't be embarrassed, that who cares what they think, I'm entitled to these feelings. But I know what they think. I'm the hopeless idiot who wouldn't let go.

That's what I don't get about love. Why does the first one have to end? It wasn't perfect but it was special. But it's new and all I know so of course it shouldn't work right? People ask me and I say, "it didn't work out, but it's fine". I brush it off because inside it's killing me. I feel like I can't feel the pain because people are tired of it.

But it made it worse. I really fell apart. I rang someone close to both of us because only she could understand. And she felt as helpless as I did. She said she was sorry that you did this.

I keep getting told I deserve better. And I know I do. But I just don't know what to do. I'm stuck in my head.

This is where technology sucks, because I see you through my phone, I see you going about your day, liking things from other people, tagging other people. I see something and automatically think of you, but I can't show you. What a first world problem.

And I hate myself for wanting act like I'm okay, for not wanting to be mad. Why am I like this? Why do I always want to think about how other people are feeling and not about myself? Am I so desperate for love? Is it from all the lost friendships where I was abandoned? I did tell you about that once. Now I'm just breaking my own heart holding onto you.

My mum said love shouldn't make you sad. And I can't help but think of all the times it did. But I don't want to let our relationship to just be pain. You made me happy. You were my first, and you always will be.

Dea said if it was any consolation, I made you better. That you were a very different person before I met you, and that I saved you.

I'd like to think so.

But then did I lose myself?

I miss you. But I don't know what to do. I feel like if I talk to you first I'm giving in, that I really am just a hopeless ex girlfriend. I want you to talk to me first to know that you care. But I also don't want to talk to you because you've hurt me, and what do I say to you?
