a kind-of wip that i don’t really like but i spent a good bit of time on it and it’s been sitting and brewing for a while so why not post it?

anyways the context for this’ll be below the cut!

so, as kids, the turtles loved wandering. splinter never wanted them to get lost, so he came up with an idea to paint little clues back to the lair. red would mean take a right, green would mean take a left. if painted side-by-side/together, it’d mean continue forwards.

the babies are with him here because he wanted to lodge it into their little brains so they’d be able to remember.

and then again,, sometimes the sewers aren’t always completely empty.

Scary Sunset.

I'm concepting things way outta order in this story, but I'm sure you can piece things together. Context is for a storybeat where, after defeating and capturing Adagio (thus having all three sirens in her possession), Sunset enacts her revenge plot to release the sirens on Canterlot as Thea discovers she's been manipulated. In a confrontation, the two scuffle and fight over the siren orbs while Sunset struggles with her conflicting wants and emotions.

Tom & B'Elanna give off closeted gay vibes in that I think if you asked them to describe their ideal woman and man they would respectively describe a swimsuit model (bonus: who's Not Like Other Girls) and the lead in some sort of romantic novel. Nothing even close to a real person. The most generic you can get about straight romantic and sexual attraction.

Oh easy.

Wally, Bart and Barry.

I think we forget sometimes that the vast majority of the crazy feats of godlike powers we see from speedsters are coming from these three. Wally, Bart and Barry have insane connections to the speedforce and their skill level is unmatched. What these three can do is by no means normal or average. They are op as fuck.

You have to remember that even... let's say Max Mercury is nowhere even remotely near their skill level. And we're talking about Max Mercury. The guy who knows more about the speedforce than anyone else and trained for years to master it. But Max (although he was faster than Bart when Bart was a child) isn't on the same playing field as Wally, Bart and Barry. Max couldn't enter the speedforce without Bart's assistance, Max couldn't leave the speedforce without Barry and Wally's assistance, Max can't time travel to a destination of his own choice, Max can't speed steal or fully pause time, ect ect. Max is one of the most skilled, most knowledgeable, most trained and most respected speedsters of all time. Max is the cream of the crop. You won't find another speedster better than Max. He's a shining example of what's humanely possible for speedsters to achieve.

But Wally, Bart and Barry aren't humanely possible. Those three are insane.

I'm actually going to make a tier list to explain this

Wally AT HIS SLOWEST was still faster than every single goddamn speedster he came across, including Jay, Johnny, Jesse, the Blue Trinity, the Red Trinity, ect. HE JUST WASN'T FASTER THAN BARRY OR EOBARD SO HE THOUGHT HE WAS THE WORST. Because Wally is fucking insane. He's an insane human being. Anyway, Wally at his slowest is the typical representation of an average speedster. That's how they typically are.

i think one of the reasons i enjoy the percy series so much is because it’s an adaptation of the novels and not word for word the same.

at first i was a little upset by all the changes, but after rereading the books, i actually like the series even more now. as much as we all adore the books, i think we can agree that they’re not perfect. sometimes there’s plot holes, inconsistencies, or just bad writing in general. this gives rick a chance to fix those things, and that’s OKAY.

the series isn’t perfect either, don’t get me wrong, but it is nice to see the characters going on the same adventures even with some variation to the original story. i think this will allow the characters to be fleshed out more.

we have to remember that a tv show and a book is not the same medium, so the way these things are presented cannot be identical. otherwise the characters in the show would probably seem pretty flat since the books are only from percy’s perspective. the series allows us to learn more about the motives and personalities of other characters, be it annabeth, grover, or luke (personally, i’m really excited to see how his character’s story goes).

anyway, all of this is to say that the percy series is great for what it is (an adaptation of a book series). yes it could be better (cough longer and more episodes cough), but i personally really enjoy it so far.

#like let’s be honest there’s definitely some things from the books that need to be fixed #namely the weird family-but-also-love-interest dynamic between luke and annabeth #luke should not like annabeth romantically At All #i’m really hoping rick fixes that in the show #which i think they have so far…#i think they have more of solely the found family dynamic in the show #i’m really excited to see luke’s character arc #i hated him in the books so hopefully this will change my mind #i think charlie is doing a really good job of portraying him #(god this cast is so perfect tho let’s talk about that)#like that’s the other main reason i love this show #the casting was just so perfect and i can’t imagine anyone else playing these characters now #when i reread the books i literally pictured them as walker and leah and aryan like-#anyway sorry for the rambling i just have fallen in love with this universe all over again #i’m 20 but feel like i’m back in middle school 😭#pjo #percy jackson #percy series #percy jackson and the olympians #annabeth chase #grover underwood #luke castellan #rick riordan #walker scobell #leah sava jeffries #aryan simhadri

had an odd dream that i was reading a comic book. sketched a couple of the pages i could remember.

#i might adapt this into an actual story because i am SO SO SO mad that it isn't a thing i can go back to reading #oc #im definitely keeping the concept of save-bot i fucking love save-bot he's just doing his best. i love a robot who wants to help people #im not equipped to be writing about underground rebellions with any sense of real tact though #besides its in a superhero universe/story so you know it would just be so sucks lol #sketch #god the colors were so interesting. the teal parts were all very precisely crosshatched and the fire was this gorgeous brush pen looking #colored inks that just seemed like they were MOVING #and i mean some of that was because i was dreaming but god even in my halfhearted copy you can see some of the movement #it was a bad scene but a really really REALLY fun dream. i love when a book can *get* to me so i was really enjoying it #put it aside so i could take a break and woke up. instant fury at the universe for not having it be a real book instead #ill reblog with details if anyone's curious. i can explain this scene but i dont feel like it #the green people are in a secret basement though. hiding from the government. blue jacket guy is a speedster robot named save-bot who does #rescue stuff with every fire department so fire suppression technology is not very good because save-bot "can just save you''#however they're badly over their legal occupancy and the secret basement has One (1) exit so everyone is like really fucked here.#includinig save-bot who is going to do his job until he dies because he is an ai without any sense of self preservation and he cares #which i didn't even CATCH until i woke up and started tryin to frantically note everything down #and then i was like wait. the glitter on that last page before i realized i needed a glass of water to keep reading... what WAS that...#(it was tears suspended in midair because save-bot goes so fast and also knows he's so fucked LOL)#seriously i'm so mad someone else didn't make this.

Like i've lived in the czech republic before. But I didn't order packages a lot and my place had a place to put them onsite.

I don't have that anymore. So when I wasn't here yesterday when they delivered my packages (two hours early) they put them in a pick up location.

Said pick up location was a butcher/meat shop. Is this normal??? Do random shops double as postage pick up locations??

In other news i have an oven!!!

#studies in living abroad #i feel like i need some sort of tag #like the culture shock i dont really get bcuz ive been here so much #but there are some things that surprise me logistically like packages in meat shops #funnily enough there was a guy there who had the same code as me and she said my name and I was like ah Jsem!! me!! tady!!#and that guy spoke english thankfully but his czech was way better than mine #as soon as i start making money its over my czech will get so mediocre #i was like dva nebo jedna?? bcuz i had two packages #and she was like ješte jedna and i was like thank god i understand 😭😭#minimal czech was needed thanks to the text message
