It's both sad and heartwarming that I'm ageing out of kid shows at the same time they're ending and their characters are growing up too. Like, I know I can still watch them and enjoy them as an adult but there won't be that same deep connection I had when the protagonist was my age and struggling with the same things I was. Like when The Owl House started airing I was about Luz's age and feeling just as misunderstood with all the crap that was going on in the world. Now Luz is going off to college just as I'm going off to college, and like that just hits me where it hurts. Also, Percy Jackson getting another novel about him having to go to college too, while also having a new show in the works -- It's so hard to describe how happy and heartbroken I am at the same time.

thinking about neteyam, and how he kept getting things stolen from him all his life.

about how the inherited mischief that came with being the son of jake sully was ripped away from him when his grandmother smiled and declared you will be a great chief one day;

im thinking about how he was robbed of the future he grew up trying so hard to be worthy of—about the fifteen years of his past he had to leave behind as they walked away from their clan;

im thinking about his trinkets, necklaces and visors and arm guards, some lovingly given, some secretly collected, some clumsily made, gathering time in a box he will never open again;

i’m thinking about eldest children, and how they learn early on to scavenge for pieces of themselves that aren’t tainted by the curse of having to grow up faster;

and im thinking about how young neteyam must have been to know when to perform as a good son, a strong warrior, a worthy chief-to-be, and how he must have felt so lost when nobody answered his question of when he could stop;

how he must have always secretly wished he could get away from the chains that bound him to his duties, from all of it;

I know everyone loves talking about Katniss and Peeta being affectionate in everyday life and mirroring her parents, but I also go crazy about them being affectionate and Peeta realizing he has a safe home filled with love unlike his parents. I just imagine him remembering his parents just tensely being with each other and contrasting that with him and Katniss who are always touching in some way and greet each other with kisses and hugs.

no because throughout the first two books he’s so physically affectionate to her (even though i’d assume this isn’t learned behaviour from his home) can you IMAGINE what it’s like when they’re safe and living together and in an established relationship? when he realises that she enjoys and takes comfort from his affections??

There’s one last thing Ford has to do before he and Stan are finished packing for their trip. He made sure he had a few hours to himself, had sent Stan into town for some last supplies, and was standing in front of his old photocopier.

Dipper and Mabel had gladly sent him one of Shermie’s old photo albums. And while he had managed to retain one measly picture for the last 40 or so years, it wasn’t the one he needed for what he was about to do.

There, all by herself in the frame, was a picture of their mother. And on the next page, also pictured alone, their father.

He picked one up, set it on the copier, and pressed scan.

Goodbye Wii U and goodbye DS servers

You gave us so much, Nintendo was my childhood.

They're slowly shutting down servers.

Ultra sun and moon are closed as of 8:30 Splatoon closes in 20 minutes.

I don't know much of others.

Nintendo has been a large part of my childhood

Especially the Wii, Wii U, and Nintendo DS's particular the DSi models.

Thank you for my childhood, Wii, Wii u, and ds, Nintendo should have done smth to celebrate the end of the servers.

I will miss Splatoon 1. I will miss seeing callie and marie tell us the news.

Goodbye to a large part of mine and others childhood.
