I can’t believe it I am so excited for mcc again and it isn’t even just that iskall is in the event I AM SO EXCITED FOR TOMORROW….

mcc was such a fun experience. but wow it gave me such a perspective.

i'm almost scared to watch back my vod; you don't realize just how easy it is to get tunneled until you're in the event yourself. There are times where I realize someone on my team had been communicating something like 5 times and i hadn't heard a word of it. There are times where I had a checklist of things to do, like getting my hotbar sorted in SOT with torches in offhand, that completely got forgotten about the moment I got there.

I don't say this to beat myself up; it just really puts into perspective what the games are like when you're in it. It's real. It's intense. It was SO MUCH FUN.

There are so many moments where I performed really well for myself and I will hold those moments proudly. That medium ending on parkour warrior was the first time i'd successfully completed that red glass section; I always failed it on Island. Had some sick shots in Meltdown. I got that word puzzle in sot SO fast. I had a great time.

oky it’s fucking TIME to talk about mcc misogyny we are NOT dancing around it anymore .

the community fucking hates women . especially the subreddit but also the general community . i can’t talk about every women bc i haven’t watched the pov of every woman in mcc .

tina kitten. her entire mcc experience was being treated as a nerf tool by the community. she only played in a handful of events but her teams routinely credited as some of the lowest ranked teams in the history of mcc in pre-game prospects . they’ve had the LEAST chance at winning and the community commonly rests that blame on tina’s back . is tina a great mcc player? no, she hasn’t had much opportunity to learn from it or practise much. but the constant backlash she faces for being a “bad player” and a “nerf” is demotivating . and after treating her like shit people treat her like shit MORE to tell her she’s overreacting if she is upset or has a problem with anything .

but scar has similar stats . he’s a relatively new player who hasn’t had much chance to learn from the event yet and hasn’t placed top 20. but nobody ever complains about scar being teamed with anyone as a nerf . nobody complains scar is dragging the team down . same goes for people like quackity and karl who don’t regularly place well. nobody complains they’re nerfs or that they’re ruining the teams chances . and evryone is quick to comfort them if they feel bad for ‘letting their team down’

niki nihachu is a similar situation . she’s been playing in the event for well over a year now and is routinely shunned by members of the community for not playing good enough . you can argue ‘she ranks x out of 40 on average’ all you want but does that warrant the way people treat her in her chat and in the subreddit?? does that warrant the immense pressure she feels to improve and the fact that he feels she’s let so many ppl down if she doesn’t?? does it warrant people talking shit talking her and laughing at her for getting emotional due to stress over the event on stream? the fact that she’s so stressed over the event should tell you everything . people has treated her like shit since the beginning for being ‘too emotional’ .

jojosolos. girl. she came into the event as an extremely strong player. she’s placed top ten 6 out of 9 times she’s played (canon and non canon) . for canon events she has 5/6 top ten placements one win and a first individual placement . purpled has 6/7 top ten placements, one team win and one first individual placement . they have extremely similar track records . so why is it that the s tier committee is trying to hard to designate purpled as an s tier but are adamant that jojo doesn’t deserve the same treatment because she’s yet to prove herself as being an s tier player . they have roughly the same stats .

hannahxxrose . she’s faced criticism for her competitiveness over her entire streaming career . to the point where she recently pointed out that people have been calling into question her mental well-being because of her competitive attitude and loudness. some men in the community (specific ones that are hated before the game even starts) are given similar critiques but not once has their mental health been called into question. but the majority of competitive men in the community haven’t been called out on their ‘bad attitudes’, only the ones that specific mcyt communities don’t like to begin with . typically if a man gets loud or starts screaming during the event it’s funny to you . but for a woman she’s taking it too seriously and needs a wellness check .

both jack manifold and karacorvus have an average placement of 26 . kara has one win and jack has lost every dodgebolt he’s been part of . but kara faces harsher criticism bc she doesn’t have the same following as jack manifold so she doesn’t have ppl who will defend her as being a good addition to the team for something other than her ability . bc ppl will defend jacks bad placement because :o !!!! he’s playing with his friends!!!! despite having the same ability as the women that are routinely shit on .

my point is that you can say what you want about certain mcc players . you’re not gonna like everyone . but the double standards between male and female mcc competitors is very much real and a problem in the fanbase. more people are fans of the male streamers and i get that’s why you want them to succeed. but to overlook the flaws you degrade female plaster for in the creators you admire is to have an internal bias against them . if you’re going to have criticisms they’re gonna have ti be for EVERYONE who uses that kind of behaviour . and i think if we see that enforces you’ll realise that a lot of the critiques were bullshit to begin with .

and this can NOT be chalked up to the behaviour of the dsmp community alone . you’re all just as bad, this focuses primarily on dsmp examples bc i watxh primarily dsmp streamers. ALL of this happens on the mcc subreddit .

This MCC was great. Absolutely great. Etho really took to it like a duck to water. And I think it's a testament to both him and Cleo as to how quickly they both took to MCC. Etho got 32nd in his first MCC, Cleo got 30th in theirs. Yeah the joke is that they're washed up, the pair of them, but these two have been playing minecraft pretty much since it's birth. Cleo's been gaming for over forty years, Etho's a master at gaming. Both of them adapted so quickly to new games and picked up strategies. If they choose to play more, I think they could be phenomenal. So Scott Smajor, if you're reading, please convince Etho and Cleo to come back, if you can, and eventually they can copilot a clockers family mcc team

The fact that when I came back from the cinema wanting to see some cool art and people talking about interesting stuff after something so flipin awesome and the first thing i see was the dream team being so fucking rude during a CHARITY EVENT for their DEAD FRIEND is honestly so disheartening.

My grandfather was so lucky to get cancer twice and survive both times, I knew someone who lost her dad to cancer. I know someone who survived childhood cancer. One of my great grandparents died of cancer, my family on both sides is extremely family oriented if he never died I would have met him. The fucking disrespect that they showed should not be laughed at, it shouldn’t be encouraged.

The fact they were playing airhorns during Technodad’s speech, one that should have been respected and really quiet durning and no one interrupting is the fucking worse. I don’t care if dteam fans say that it’s funny and Techno would have laughed because it’s not the fucking point!!!

The whole festival was a charity event in honour of their friend, and for Technodad his fucking son. No one should have gone though this. I don’t care if this comes across as rude or overreacting because the dteam need to grow the fuck up and learn that their actions have fucking consequences for once.

This isn’t supporting a brand that’s actually a scam, this isn’t saying something offensive by accident. This is being rude and disrespectful.

And it even hurts that none of their fans are going to care a single bit because I don’t fucking know maybe they’ll say “but it was a joke” or “dream has ADHD your being ableist” because none of that shit matters when you realise that neither of those things matter when it’s about respect.

These are the same fans who will defend these mother fuckers to the grave but when someone like Niki Niahchu accidentally uses avae because she doesn’t know about American history or what avae is because she lives in Germany(or any non American country because the world doesn’t revolve around you fuckers) and is called overreactive during mcc and having a lot of stress put onto her and BREAKS DOWN ON STREAM it’s ok because they think it is.

I want dteam fans to see this post and be uncomfortable, I don’t care if I’m being mean to your pretty white boys because they have been allowed to do anything with a platform that is way to big for them for too long. I’m allowed to be angry as well, I’m allowed to be mean, I’m not apologising to you if you feel sad that I’m being mean about them because they need to grow up.

Charlie had every right to tell dream to shut up during that stream.

I am just going to put this at the top : this post is going to be a long vent about missing Technoblade, please scroll on if you do not wish to read.

We are coming up on two years without him.

We are also coming up on three years since I discovered his content.

I thought I was at the point I could watch one of his videos tonight, as I used to often do when I am doing tasks or writing he was always the background noise I used. I remember calling into work when he streamed for the sheer sake of enjoying them while they happened the few times I caught them before...well. I think you know. He was the reason my passion for writing came back to life and I believed I could actually follow my lifelong dream of eventually publishing a story.

But I suppose the part I always forget about grief is the absence of the unique spirit that person brought to your life. I found his content and engaged with it instantly, developing one of the longest running fixations I have had in a good while. The sheer excitement I'd have getting the notification he went live for one of his rare streams.

I don't think it truly sunk in when he announced his diagnosis. I remember discussing it with the irl friend who got me into watching him and both of us laughed, saying he's strong enough to fight off anything.

A few months pass with his rare posts and there was always this tiny little bit of intuition I had where he never told us what severity of cancer it was. Like he was a very private guy, yes, but this seemed extra...odd.

Then I remember the way my heart sunk when 'so long nerds' popped into my notification bar. The dashing of my heart against the floor texting people as I tearfully listened to Technodad tell us the words his son Alex wished for us to hear.

Its been a long two years. Its been great ones, tbh. I found a new passion with QSMP and Hermitcraft after the finishing of DSMP [tho c!Techno will forever remain close to my heart]. I kept writing, with over half a million words in published fics on ao3 and several WIP including 3 original novels.

But the only one I ever wanted to thank for helping me find my creativity again I can't, and I never will be able to.

I miss Technoblade.

I will never stop missing him.

I wish he could have laughed with his friends for many years yet, being silently proud of their accomplishments while he messed with people on the QSMP. I wish he could have had another MCC with friends.

I wish his unique soul wasn't taken from us so soon, as we weren't done following our hero yet.

But the only thing I can do now is continue to speak his tales. The first book I properly publish, the gratitude page is going to be addressed to him. I will continue to tell others about his accomplishments and tell them to go watch his content on his Youtube channel [get him to 17 million!]! Buy some of his merch [when it comes back in stock]! Support his family & friends!

Though he would call us nerds for crying, I think its beautiful how many lives he touched and how many thousands mourned his passing. He was a light all corners of the MCYT sphere and beyond saw and respected, and not too many creators can claim such an honour.

I'll always be a Voice at my core. Even if I spend my time these days as a crow, a huevito, a ferret, a tubling, a doozer and many more, my heart will forever belong to Technoblade.

Please keep creating art and writing in his name. I love scrolling the fanart tags and adore every piece I come across with my favourite piglin in them. Please, please, please keep saying his name. Sing his legends. Make references, continue the jokes, hang out in one of his friends chats and support the people he loved.

Support those who are still here, even if your heart hurts.

It's only painful because we all loved him so much, which is a beautiful type of sorrow.

I think one of Aqua29's (H, Dave, False, Cub) best qualities is that they were an extremely forgiving and consistent team

(I know the MCC just happened, but my brain is going crazy right now and all the details are flying past my head but I hope you'll get the general idea.)

MCC's nature is that it is unpredictable. That's what makes it fun! The chickens, the weird lag (sometimes 💀), luck, sudden clutches, etc etc. But this unpredictability can sometimes mess up teams on a really good trajectory. One "bad" or "unwanted" game would kill a team's morale- I've seen that before.

In the midst of the MCC chaos, Aqua29 is very solid. They were steadily climbing up the ranks and kept their morale high. Even when they won one round of Dodgebolt, they convinced themselves to act like they "were losing". I forgot the English word for it but their mental states / attitudes were very consistent throughout the entire MCC. This helps them power through the unpredictability. Especially for MCC29, which is a well-balanced MCC and pretty difficult to predict (and the stats don't do False and Cub justice in this particular situation).

As I said before, Aqua29 is very forgiving. This allows them space to make mistakes and to bounce back. Dave felt pretty guilty over dying to speedbridging in Sky Battle and said he really usually doesn't do that, and while the loss of the team's best PvPer might be fatal in some other situations, Aqua honestly did fine. Their morale wasn't affected.

In Rocket Spleef Rush, sometimes a teammate would die "early", leaving two teammates behind, and it felt like they took turns dying early, which showed how balanced they were. Same with TGTTOS. Sometimes an individual teammate might get unlucky in a round of TGTTOS, but overall they all worked hard, and they could pull it back.

Battle Box would be another good example, in which they lost the first two rounds, adjusted their strategy, and then did better. Dave also apologised for missing the comms during the round against Purple, but like SkB, they progressed normally.

In Grid Runners, sometimes they placed bottom half in some rooms, but they steadily improved and cleared them faster- ending up in the last room in which H bossed everyone around and they got through it the quickest. There is a narrative: they learned from earlier "mistakes", had the room to afford making mistakes, and improved. Therefore, they rose up.

And Dodgebolt. Dodgebolt! All four of them are good at it. Of course, we have HBomb, king of Dodgebolt. Then Dave, confident PvPer. The two hermits, both great shots, have grown more confident in their skills. They all trusted themselves to the point they didn't need H to nudge the arrow in their direction- they just picked up the arrow if they felt like it. Cub did that, and he got his kills. Even if half of the team was taken out, or heck, even if it was a 1v3, they had enough skill to power through. All four of them were in good shape, felt great, and meshed well together.

In a way, Aqua29 are each other's safety nets. No one got top 10. Their placements were: 12th, 13th, 20th, 21st. Which honestly wasn't too far from each other. You won't really expect a team with those individual rankings to get second in coins, but they did. Even if False ended up losing the 1v3, her valiant efforts would motivate the team even more and I'm sure they would've won (even though a Cyan reverse sweep would be cool).

And it's this kind of stability and mutual support that powered them through MCC. They didn't get the finale they wanted (Survival Games), that was out of their control, but they squeezed themselves into Dodgebolt anyway. I won't deny that they were lucky- MCC is unpredictable, so luck is often a factor, but I feel they could weather a storm.

Aqua29 is a nice team to watch live. They always bring it back, and I'm not just talking about placements or coins, it's also their morale. This team is going up with Blue9 and Purple15 as one of the competitive hermit teams with best overall team synergy. They were very stable and encouraging of each other <3

Guys watch admin stream you can see Etho run SOT. He died where Pete died in an old run before, forgot which one but I gotta say Etho was very good for a first runner altho he needed a bit more briefing about target blocks, the statues coming alive and calling out room/dungeon colors. For a newcomer and minimal practice (no vod watching?) he was great. No one mentioned he can get his gold back too when he died.

His parkour is commendable! Get outta here with these "washed up" comments!

Now we just need to convince him that for MCC he doesn't need to entertain his chat while he's streaming, so he doesn't need to feel pressured about that (he mentioned this before as a reason for not liking streaming)

anyway this was a GREAT first MCC back, the vibes were excellent all event, that was such a fun dodgebolt, things got scuffed but no one got mad about it, the new game is SO GOOD, and I am so excited for the rest of this season mcc is back baby!!!

a lot of the tommy privs are follow now are bringing up a current streak of bad behavior. apparently there was an incident in amsterdam where he threw a tantrum over someone taking his bottle of head and shoulders shampoo (when there was another bottle) & went on a tirade against everyone trying to figure out who took it and demanding it back to the point jack had to yell at him to make him stop? mentioned on the ylyl stream with molly who went: “you didn’t just give it to him?” & well as making jokes about p*ppytwt and how people made art of him as a minor in call with tubbo and piso during mcc and they both got triggered by it and deafened and in his new video he compared himself to james charles

the last two i can get as him trying to be edgy / force the mature label onto himself so he isn’t seen as a kid for better or for the definite worse, but really can’t figure out a good analysis of the first one other than Oh Wow

Oh okay I’ve missed out on way more than I thought, damn. MCC is usually too big for me to digest but if someone is willing to do up a timestamp I could check the energy out. 

One of Tommy’s engines is counterphobia, which is the compulsion to move towards things that make him uncomfortable or scare him in order to get a handle on them. He also tends to lean into this more when adrenaline hits him, so when he gets messy he really starts nipping. The thing is, I think his adrenaline / panic response has been really hitting hard between his self-admitted depression and working out the genuine trauma of his teen years, so he’s riding the highs and lows. 

I’ve sat with this for a bit but Tommy is very into material signifiers of safety, and he always has been. (If I was being dorkier about the enneagram in this post I would cave in and finally call him a Self-Preservation (SP) Six since those are the most concerned with food/water/shelter/physical comfort.) He’s very sensitive about money, comfort, space, just anything you can point to and touch and count. On the more abstract level he’s very into numbers and making those numbers bigger. On the inverse, he cannot seem to handle the loss of those things well. I have to wonder if there’s a specific trauma there, or if it’s just his default nature. I know people like to say it’s because he’s an only child, but even only children can learn after a while. 

Tommy needs mentors and examples for how to do things in life, and now he’s gone and made his life deeply unique to himself, which means that nobody can 'fully' mentor him (on top of how shady the entertainment scene is-- paranoia sits badly in him), and he has to figure things out himself while gathering bits and pieces where he can. For a psyche like his, this is not a great deal, especially not for his still-formative years. He’s going to have to feel a lot of things out himself, and that means an incredible amount of trial and error, in potentially dangerous amounts depending on what his choices are.

this is a big ask but i will do my best:

So we will start with “Crewfu” itself. I think the more used/accepted name for the group is the Morning Lobby. They are a group of streamers/content creators that met through playing Among Us. I'm not 100% on the start date but it was some time in Oct/Nov 2020 - April/May 2021. They had a reunion in June 2022 and continue to play Among Us every Wednesday since. I'll write a short synopsis for each current regular but the otv and friends wiki has a great list of the people who played in the morning lobbies. I also included some links to clips of some of the streamers that I really like.

Hafu: She is the crew’s Mom. She set up the original morning lobbies daily for months. She’s a legend in the gaming community and has been streaming/playing games competitively for over 10 years. Choose any competitive game over this time period and Hafu has probably mastered it. She is married to another streamer called dogdog and they live in Las Vegas with their dog Jubbs.

dakotaz (dk): One of the og members of the morning lobby. He helped set up the lobbies with Hafu at the start due to the frustration of trying to find and play in lobbies at the height of Among Us popularity. Currently streams Fortnite almost daily. He has an alt stream where he sometimes streams Among Us and Valorant and any other games he feels like. He hits those, he's in his 30s, and he's petty all the time. He briefly lived in Vegas but he is a true Florida man and moved back after a short time.

5up: His twitter bio says “rank 1 among us player” He was a rival to Hafu in the og lobbies and was known for his big brain Among Us plays. He also acted as the substitute teacher during the original lobby run and held things together after hafu stopped playing among us in 2021. He commissioned a team to create a custom Among Us map called the submarine map. He plays a lot of competitive games currently like League of Legends, Valorant, TFT as well as MCC. He also travels a lot and he has a lot of friends in many different streaming circles like OTV&F, the minecraft community, etc.

stevesuptic: He was “poached” from a ChilledChaos lobby where he met Hafu and Dumbdog for the first time. He impressed Hafu with not only how funny he was but also with how bad he was at the game. He makes and produces his own music under the artist name "SUGR?" He's been a part of too many youtube channels to list but is probably most well known for Sugar Pine 7. He currently streams valorant and variety content pretty much daily. In May of 2023 he announced that he is roommates with Janet/xChocoBars, another member of the Morning Lobby. In July 2023 he got his own kitten named Olympus or Oly for short.

DumbDog: Despite his name he is generally known for being good at most games. He met Hafu through NorthernLion on the NLSS. He was a semi-regular participant in the original morning lobbies but I think he’s the only person who has been in every single lobby since the reunion. He recently bought a house and adopted a cute husky puppy named Artemis or Artie for short. He is a frequent member of the variety lobbies and plays with Steve and their group almost daily. He is a furry and as part of a sub goal he commissioned a fursuit and it was finished this year. 

xChocoBars or Janet- She is a Canadian variety streamer and a regular in both current and original lobbies.  She plays lots of group games with friends and is often addicted to certain games like APEX and TFT and streams them a lot. She has 2 cats named Hazel and Baton and recently became roommates with Steve.

Angelskimi or Kimi (formerly known as plushys): She is an ASMR artist who was a regular in the og lobbies and plays almost weekly now. She is a pretty irregular streamer but does upload on her ASMR youtube channel weekly. Despite her claims of being “so angel” she is an innuendo queen. She lives in LA with her dog Pix and her cat Snowball.

Ellum: He is one half of daft and dafter with Koji being the other half. He is one of the regulars from the UK. He calls himself the smoothest brain on twitch which may or may not be true. He streams variety games on most weekdays. He lives in London with his girlfriend (CaptainPuffy) and they have a corgi named Pudding together.

koji: He is the other half of daft and dafter. He is known for being a very wholesome streamer. His content oscillates from really cozy games to horror with occasional group gaming streams with friends. He is vegan and lives with his longtime girlfriend Abby and their 2 dogs Miso and Bugs.

Smajor / Smajor1995 / dangthatsalongname / Scott: He currently plays quite frequently in the morning lobby but his specialty outside of that is minecraft content. He is on the Empires server, organizes MCC, the life series, etc. I personally watch more of his youtube content than his streams. He lives in England but he is from Scotland.

Junkyard129: He is a new regular to the morning lobbies and has been playing every week for the last several months. He is the oldest person in the lobby and is often the butt of a lot of jokes because of it. He has probably been creating content longer than anyone else in the lobby as youtube says his first video was uploaded 16 years ago!! Currently streams variety gaming solo and with the Chilled group quite often. He also has regular streams from his woodworking shop where he makes cutting boards, coasters, etc to sell. He has a special dance that he performs when he gets raided.

vGumiho: She is a variety v-tuber who currently plays both in the morning lobby and with the Steve variety game group. She started becoming a more frequent regular when the crew started playing Valorant but plays most weeks for the Among Us lobbies currently. She has a dog named Kazu. She organizes ppsat lobbies which used to be weekly but are less frequent now.

Ovilee: She is an esports commentator who currently plays with the morning lobby most weeks. She also streams and she presented the morning lobby panel at twitch con.

Purple: scott won scripted smh /j okay now for real i'm so happy a team like this which doesn't have any stereotypical super strong players managed to get 1st and win, and that long-time minecrafters won the ender cup. Also especially Pearl for getting another win so soon!

pink: we all know purple is cracked lol, but it's still the whoke team's achievement to get to dodgebolt with three players who haven't played that many mccs or tend to struggle. i think it may be tina's 1st db?

yellow: my pov!!! they pulled it back so much in the end with an amazing gr and managed to snatch 3rd after being in the lower half for most of the event!!! they did great

cyan: i really liked this team and they were doing so well for most of the event! it's such a shame they struggled with gr :(

orange: same as wirh cyan, i really thought they'd go to db! they seemed to be doing well

lime: i think 7th place is really good for this team! they're far from the most stacked team and they managed to get ahead of 3 teams which initially seem stronger to me (though blue might have thrown for fun, you never know with tommy and tubbo)

green: incredible that the point record is on an 8th place team. lmfao

fbm: eyyyy he managed to snatch that 3rd from hannah in the end, that said hannah 4th is also amazing!!!

oh man i love polyam let’s goooo. decided to place this at an ambiguous future MCC cause why not. we're manifesting ren in another MCC together.

The atmosphere in the dodgebolt arena is electric. It's Ren's first time back in MCC in quite a while, and the fact that he's made it to this point would be more surprising if not for his teammates- False, Cleo, and Cub- who he can't help but feel a little bit carried by. Sure, he's has his fair share of great performances, but the game has changed so much since he last stepped foot in it, and they're far more familiar with it's new intricacies. It's weighing on him especially now, waiting for the final round of a dodgebolt he's been... struggling in, to say the least.

As the previous round of dodgebolt ends and the waiting period for the next starts, the arena comes alive with spectators and other competitors alike swarming their friends, giving them tips or encouragement or praise for their performance. Ren is quickly swept into the crowd, people chattering on all sides. The sound is so much that Ren only barely hears someone calling his name, and only really registers it when he feels someone tugging on his sleeve.

Ren turns to see Martyn, with Bigb trailing close behind him. Ren lights up instantly, and lets himself be pulled into a quick and tight hug.

"Hey, that was a great round!" Martyn says, shouting slightly over the din of the crowd. "I think you guys have this!"

"Yeah, Falsie got some great kills off that round," Ren says, unable to hold back his smile as he remembers False's impressive 2v1.

"Hey, don't forget your own contributions," Bigb says, pushing him lightly. "You did some impressive dodging that round, and you got your own kill, you're doing great!"

Ren chuckles, only barely holding himself back from reminding Bigb that he also walked straight off the platform in round one, so perhaps those two things even out.

Above their heads, a tone plays out, letting the players know the next round is about to start and they should get moving to their places. Ren turns to go, but Bigb stops him with a hand on his arm.

"Before you go-" Bigb leans forward and presses a quick kiss to Ren's lips. "For luck!"

Before Ren can do much more than smile at him, he's passed in Martyn's direction to receive another short kiss.

"Alright, now go get 'em," Martyn smiles, gently pushing Ren in the direction of his teammates.

Ren smiles widely at the pair of them, waving as he's ushered off. Hopefully the next time he sees the both of them, he'll be up on the winner's podium. Ren's sure they'll both like seeing him in the crown again.

generation loss

i am just going to say everything that is on my mind right now. sorry if it doesn’t make sense. 

warning: generation loss spoilers, when i am talking about the episodes, i am talking about the characters mostly, not about the creators who portrayed them.

i LOVE the show so much. i love the idea. i love the creators. i love the story. i love the sets. i love EVERYTHING about it.

i am so proud of ranboo and everyone who helped to make this show come to life and to be THAT good of an experience. 

thoughts on ep. 1: 

being thrown immedietly into the action was the best thing. you feel like you are really in there with ranboo and you are experiencing it alongside them. having the chance to vote was an amazing idea and i loved how it really looked like a game. ranboo was really the main character we deserved, loved and felt for. i gotta say i was a little bit worried about charlie being the demon. when i saw the trailer, i immediately started laughing, and i didn’t know if i would be able to see him as a scary character. good thing i didn’t have to. i think it was the best decision ever not to make him scary and terrifying, and rather make him silly and goofy. the cooking show then was amazing. the idea with the door and going to different dimensions was absolutely hilarious, i loved it. when ranboo went to the basement and found sneeg and frank, that was also a great idea and funny af. i loved sneegs performance - how he portrayed going absolutely bollocks after spending so much time down there and talking to frank even though he is a skeleton (not a real person ANYMORE). last but not least, i loved the fight scenes. they were amazing and i gotta say - i loved being able to control ranboo’s moves at least a little bit. the ending was immaculate and the cliffhanger made me want more immediately. 

thoughts on ep. 2:

i didn’t watch ep. 2 live, because i was on a trip, but i watched it later and even though i wasn’t directly part of it (aka making any choices), i enjoyed it nonetheless. i loved how more creators were part of this one. every single one’s performance was immaculate. charlie being all silly and goofy while ranboo was taking all the stuff out of him, and then for a very brief moment screaming and crying because ranboo literally tore him open, and then casually coming back to silly, goofy mood. amazing. i loved niki’s performace especially because it was so chilling to see her crying this whole time but the second she had to speak to the camera, she was smiling and saying that she is kind and nice. austin’s straight trope was hilarious af. and sneeg’s acting skills - wow. how it was obvious that he “woke up” and saw what was really happening there, how it was obvious that he just excused himself to go to the toilet because he wanted to run away, and how it was so obvious (and terrifying) that he was wiped and put back in the game. it was especially scary, because they didn’t (and didn’t need to) tie him back up, because he wouldn’t run away anymore. he wouldn’t even think of it. and seeing how he still cared for frank was just hearwarming. then later, during the mouse trap game, it was so scary to see niki die. that was the first time i thought: omg, we CAN’T really control EVERYTHING. but i loved the acting, how ranboo and sneeg just carried on like nothing really happened and i realized that only after vinnie vinesauce came and started freaking out a little. the idea of charlie being soaked into the towel was also brilliant. then the wardrobe trope, just amazing. i loved the humour. i loved the show. then ethan having hope of getting out of there with that statue and then being killed just sent chills down my spine. then the play room - hilarious - the way they didn’t believe they could get out of there by pushing one button but that was actually it. i loved it. and then having a brief mcc hole in the wall moment. i was laughing (even though sneeg and austing were dying, sorry guys). and then the ending. ranboo waking up, realizing this is all a show, all a game, realizing we are watching and we are the once in control. their scared face. i love it. brilliant acting. also: rae, sykkuno’s and jerma’s acting was also on point. i loved how rae was just this little happy, confused, clumsy rat, it was so cute. 

thoughts on ep. 3:

ranboo finally sees through. wahoo. but it has consequences. they realized what they had done. hetch trying to calm them down, to think rationally, to end this once and for all potentionally save all of their friends (ranboo would’ve left if they didn’t have hope that their friends could be saved). amazing. them being all scared and worried. and confused. very, very confused. and the amount of guilt they must’ve felt. the moment with the code and then setting off the alarm was so chilling because that was the one time ranboo made a choice for themselves, and it was wrong, and it didn’t work. but the question is: did they really make a choice, or was this all pre-planned by showfall media? and then later on, when they found all of the streamers. it was chilling - the way no one was responding. only after ranboo took charlie’s headphone’s off, he got out of the tranz and he helped him. i didn’t see charlie’s stream from before genloss ep. 3, but it was in the set, and that’s just so cool. because like how much is showfall actually in control of everything. it extends into real life, not only the show itself. that was a really cool detail, i think. charlie and ranboo then running away and trying to get out of there, but they can’t, because this is all one huge set. they could never get out because that’s how it’s all planned. charlie being murdered by that tv monster and then ranboo pressing the button was so intense, i was barely breathing. and the ending. ranboo thinking they got out, that they are free, that they are no longer in the game, in the show, but being tied up immediately after. it was so sad. us having a choice - let them live or let them die. i gotta say i pressed live, i questioned my choice later on, but in the end, i think i would still pick live because i had hope that maybe showfall media would let ranboo go. but i get everyone who chose the die button. it was so scary to see ranboo that hopeless. the ending got me. the box just sent chills down my spine. it was not the ending i wanted, but it was the ending ranboo deserved because maybe he would stay in the spiral forever and would never get out. but we don’t know that. lastly, knowing this is only one of many, many experiments is just so chilling. yes, i am excited for ranboo and their team to see what they come up with, but for the characters, this is gonna be just more torture and pain. 

to sum this up: i loved it so much. i can’t wait for ranboo to keep doing this and to bring more generation loss to us.

Josh was the bartender that evening. A cute college-aged young man with a bright smile who always remembered her name.

“Of course, Ms. Y/n. Will swap these out. As usual.” He winked.

She leaned over the bar as she took a quick sip of her martini while Josh went to retrieve Cyndee’s card. She looked down the bar at the faces of other patrons and suddenly was met with the clear green eyes of Leo’s son, Harry. Her stepson. She wasn’t sure if he’d seen her and it wasn’t as if Y/n had done anything wrong but she just hadn’t expected to see him there.

She leaned up again, peering around the woman sitting on the stool to her left and her eyes landed on the young man. Freshly shorn dark curls and a soft pink smile crooked up as he spoke animatedly to the guy sitting next to him. And just as she assumed he hadn’t seen her he turned and looked at her squarely, nodding in acknowledgment before pulling himself off the stool he was on and making his way across the bar to her.

“Is that Harry?” Marla spoke as she leaned in.

“Yes, it is.”

Harry was a nice young man. He was polite, sometimes overly polite she thought, and he was charming. Y/n liked Harry. She didn’t know him all that well. He lived on campus at the university so she saw him rarely. But she did recognize that he’d cut his hair. He had long dark curls when she first met him. He looked like a bad boy, covered in tattoos with a permanent smirk on his face. But once she got to talking to him, she realized, he was a big sweetheart really. The long dark hair and tattoos were just a look. A style. Harry was a nice young man.

The truth was, all the girls joked about how attractive Leo and his son were. Both men were quite handsome. Y/n couldn’t deny that. Harry was tall like his father and built nicely. Long legs and a well-muscled chest. A great jawline and crystal green eyes that allured.

“Hi, Y/n. Marla,” Harry spoke as he looked from Y/n to Marla.

And that was another thing about him. He always remembered everyone’s name. He had met Marla maybe twice, yet here he was drinking beers at a bar and remembering the name of Y/n’s best friend whom he barely knew.

“Hi Harry,” Y/n smiled up at him, “Like the hair,” She reached up and whisked a finger into a short curl before bringing her hand back down into her own space.

Harry smiled broadly, a glorious dimple digging into his cheek as he raised an arm and ran his long fingers through his soft dark hair, “Oh! Yeah. Thank you. Got it cut a few weeks ago. Still getting used to it. Um, how are you doing?”

“Good. Girl’s Night, you know,” she shrugged and looked over at Marla who stood next to her, “We’re here every other Friday for some dancing and drinks,” when she turned her gaze back to Harry’s his soft eyes were intently watching her as she spoke. “Um, yeah. How are you? How’s school?”

Harry tipped himself forward to his toes and then lowered back down to his normal height, “Good. S’good. Already looking forward to Spring break,” he chuckled.

“Oh yeah! Me too. I’m not even in school and I’m already making plans,” she chuckled.

Suddenly something dawned on Y/n. Her eyes went wide and then she squinted as she looked at her stepson, “Wait. You’re not 21. You’re too young to be here, Mister.”

Harry snorted a laugh and nodded, “I know. I know. But I’m turning 21 in two weeks. Figured I’d try my hand at underage drinking once in my life. Before it’s too late,” he grinned.

“So you’ve never done this before?”

“Nope. First time. And of course, my stepmom is here when I do. Just my luck.”
