So I just watched the Vampire Academy movie after watching the show and not reading the books. And, excuse me, what was that? They're from the same source material? How. I have so many questions. Like why. And which is closer to the books? And also, how did that movie get made? And why would they do that to Rose and Dimitri?

A rare promo picture of Ian as Francis Urquhart in House of Cards. Deliciously villainous. He makes us complicit in his misdeeds and we are surprised to find him friendly. It is precisely the fine art of this actor. His sparkling eyes of malice, his flamboyance in ignominy are both funny and tragic. His provocations are delightful….especially In the third season when he declares publicly at the Parliament that all countries of the European Union should speak one single language: English ! …An exceptional actor and top level scripts by Andrew Davies. UK House of Cards is a masterpiece.

I don't mind that Walker Scobell doesn't look like book!Percy because 1) he's absolutely got the spirit. Walker basically is Percy, you can see and feel that in every one of his scenes, and
2) If book!Percabeth had a baby, he would look exactly like Walker Scobell, and I think that's hilariously perfect

I think Percy choosing to continue the quest “no I am going to see this through” the show perfectly foreshadows him choosing to make the Great Prophecy about him in the Titans Curse “I choose the prophecy. It will be about me.”
In episode 6 of the show, Percy is released from the quest, however he chooses to continue on, seeing that there is a bigger picture. He chooses to continue on with the quest with the hopes of preventing whatever happens.
In the Titans Curse, it is revealed that the Great Prophecy could also be about Nico, however Percy chooses it to be about him. He knows the burden of the prophecy and does not want to put it in Nico. He is going to see the great prophecy through.

there was something really jim henson-esque and campy about how some of the non-human races were portrayed in the new dnd movie that i really enjoyed. they could’ve easily gone the shitty cgi route or just not shown those races up close at all, but no, they said you want a bird man? we’re gonna get you a bird man

Seeing titles like “Percabeth: The Whole Story” pop up on YouTube is really making me cackle and cry at the same time because
1. The story is nowhere NEAR full!!!!! WHAT DO YOU MEAN “FULL STORY” THE STORY IS STILL GOING ON AND NOBODY KNOWS THE ENDING
And 2. We. Have. Actual. REAL LIFE. Scenes. That. We. Can. SEE. With our own ACTUAL EYES!?!?!??? And one day (gods PLEASE ONE DAY) the video will be over 6 hours long with Walker and Leah putting every OUNCE OF THEIR SOULS INTO MAKING IT ALL COME TRUE!

I like how in this era of excellent queer TV to replace the SuperWhoLock era, each light hearted comedy show of the trio has a dark queer mirror. Black Sails is to Our Flag Means Death, as Interview With The Vampire is to What We Do In The Shadows, just as The Sandman is to Good Omens.
I do find it odd how in each pairing its the supposed light hearted comedy show that has emotionally devastated its audience so far though...

i need to talk about how much i love the pjo show's way of introducing annabeth's character's backstory, specifically through her getting used to percy's chronic loyalty
the way she attacks him with a hug both times she thought he might've been gone forever??? (the arch and after he returns to chb) this girl who doesn't hold her breath over people staying around for her, who is so so relieved everytime percy comes back to her
the way she is absolutely appalled by percy's insisent reassurance. his "i'm perfectly comfortable with that, people make mistakes" his "people who love you shouldn't treat you like that" his "you are better at this than me, you just are" this is just percy being percy, always seeing the best in people, and never once treating her like she has to prove anything to him to be treated with care
and she's so caught off guard every time!! she tells grover to tell percy to pull himself together. she tells him "i guess so" when he asks if he has to earn it with her too. she is IMMEDIATELY at a loss for words when percy tells her that she's the one meant for the quest. that she's better at this. that he's not trying to sacrifice himself for his own glory, it has nothing to do with him, he's only thinking of her
and that's so new to annabeth!! someone who isn't trying to make her prove anything! someone who from the beginning saw her worth! not someone like her mother, who would see her die because she felt embarassed by her. not someone like her father, who loved her at first and because of someone else, began to not(or at least she thought so). not like Thalia, who made her prove herself, who for all valiance, still died, still left her. not like Luke, who promised family, and then betrayed her.
she's not used to someone who stays just for her
or in her own words,
"He's not like that, he's better than that"
i love annabeth chase
