Another silly idea of mine :'D My cat used to have drinking fountain and he loved it! He drank water from it A LOT better than ever from a bowl where the water just stood still.

I also have seen cats drinking from the tap so... This idea was born! Using Grimmjow and Ichigo this time :D But, GOD, Ichigo is SO HARD to draw! :O

PS. some missed colorings (like Ichigo's eyebrows) etc. but please, ignore them!

grimmichi is like. what if you were a monster who was only born because you clawed your way to the top of a thousand other souls and you had to fight for every moment of your existence in a world where you have no choice but to eat your fellows alive and the right to survive is forged from violence and the only way to have any power is to destroy everyone else so you become it you embody it you relish in destruction and then a stranger appears who calls himself a god and he promises you strength if you join him but after you become his slave he stamps you with the number six and sits you beside the rest of his toy soldiers and you can only watch as he plays king in your land and when you finally try to reclaim some autonomy your followers get slaughtered and you're replaced without a second thought and there's nothing you can do except become more bitter and more violent but then a weird weak stranger you damn near killed without even trying gets stronger gets as strong as you and gets stronger still except instead of using his power to oppress and destroy he uses it to liberate and protect and he spares you even though he hates you and he defends you even though you hurt him and he challenges everything you thought you knew about the world. like what do you even do. apart from fuck him of course

where’s my grimmichi soul eater au. it’s right there. ichigo potentially has a harem of weapons but functionally he uses shirosaki and the old man as dual swords. grimm as a weapon is just as appealing as grimm as a meister. if he’s a weapon he’s belligerent as hell and absolutely no one wants to partner with him (the more violent version of Excalibur, if you will). as a meister he’s got human-sona pantera as his weapon and he challenges ichigo to fights every time they cross paths. c’mon. please. this would be so fun.

Ooo, I've kinda thought about this before when I wrote this fic. I tend to see Grimmjow more as a nurse but I think it's because of this GrimmIchi fic I read awhile ago. This'll be short, but I hope you enjoy.

Doctor!Grimmjow Headcanons 😷

Many people were shocked when Grimmjow decided to become doctor. And with good reasons too. Grimmjow sent people do the doctors. He seemed interested in breaking bodies rather than reparing them. But he stuck with it.

Learning anatomy came fairly easy for him. "It's just muscles and bones." He would often say when others asked his secret. I think it was just something he oddly fixated on.

Grimmjow was always fascinated about learning war/military doctor stories about people who had to figure out a solution when all their training and experience told them to give up. Grimmjow didn't like to give up, so he could certainly relate.

He was lucky enough that his college roommate grew up in a local clinic. Even though they bickered, Grimjow would listen to his stories about sudden emergencies and how they doctored up teh patient until the big name hospitals arrived.

Residencies were a bit of a challenge. Grimmjow knew that he wasn't the best at working with people, but he also called out doctors when their judgements were wrong or if they were being an ass to the nurses.

Those ladies and gentlemen were tough, so he definitely gave them his respect.

After his rounds and hella debt, Grimmjow ended up working in the heart of the city and lived with that annoying roommate of his who'd listen to Grimm rant about difficult insurance standards and lazy know-it-alls.

"I literally just stitched his finger for like 3 minutes. I'm not gonna charge him fucking $1200!"

The emergency room calls Grimmjow's name, and it's where he thrives. It's not like being in a warzone, but the chaos and unexpectedness gives Grimmjow hella adrenaline most days.

He didn't expect to be emotionally impacted by the job, but it does get to him occasionally how things can go south no matter how much effort is put in.

Injured/sick children hurt him a lot though he never shows it.

Grimmjow does frequent a martial arts studio to stay fit and work out his emotions. Some people are afraid to get on the mat with him, but there's a good few who will duke it out.

Grimmjow talks a lot of shit about how he's gonna change industries once his debts are paid, but everyone knows he enjoys his job.

               “Kisuke told you what?!” Ichigo wasn’t trying to be quiet anymore. Rage bubbled under his skin.

               “He said your mental state is fragile! You’ll break, idiot! So, wear the fucking helmet!” Grimmjow thrust the bike helmet at Ichigo again.

               Ichigo closed his eyes briefly and begged silently for some patience. He opened them and met Grimmjow’s burning gaze head-on. “I am. Not. Fragile.”

               Grimmjow rolled his eyes. “I know that! But your brain is! Helmet!” He shoved the helmet forward more.

               Ichigo frowned and pushed the Helmet back. “It’s not like you to try and wrap me up in protective gear. I’m telling you: I don’t need it!” The light above them in the back room of Urahara’s candy store blinked and flickered in time with his shout. Grimmjow narrowed his eyes.

               “Shut up and take it, Kurosaki. If you’re gone, who the hell am I gonna fight?” he snapped. He shoved the helmet forward. Ichigo pushed it back. Grimmjow snarled and lunged. Ichigo stopped him with a grunt. They stood there, both pairs of hands gripping the helmet tight as they tried to push it to the other.

               At that moment the door to the room slid open. “Grimmjow, have you seen Jinta’s bike helmet…Ah.” Kisuke blinked once, plucked the bike helmet from their grasp, and turned to leave. Ichigo’s rage abruptly changed targets to the true instigator.

               “Kisuke.” His voice was dead calm. Kisuke paused, back still turned to them. Ichigo’s lip curled up in a snarl. “Run.”

Even though I know it probably isn't canon but I absolutely love this ship. 😍 honorable mentions: Grimmjow X Ichigo, Renji X Rukia (I know it's canon but I still love this ship) and Ichigo X Orihime (also canon but I love this ship too lol). Ichigo's hours away from graduating high school when he defends a memorial from desecration, and a certain hollow isn't far away to watch the smackdown from beginning to end.

Amateur | corintheus - worship is a two-syllable word for what The Corinthian has in store. First, he will break Dream. Second, he'll rebuild him. They say art is a reflection of the troubled artist who made it.

His Violet Delight | grimmichi - grimmjow thinks he isn't made for good things until a certain snot-nosed, annoying shit named Ichigo decides otherwise.

The Longest Night - a medieval suspense horror + dreamling; what if The Corinthian went rogue during the 1300s and Dream, stripped of his tools and like a monster from your nightmare, seeks refuge and assistance from an immortal mercenary who thinks he's the second coming of Jesus (aka Hob).

I don't have any other WIPs I'm currently working on, so just two :p

Top 3 Biggest Writing Improvements

Experimenting with perspective and the form of telling a story. Embracing the poetry and lyricism in my writing and the challenge of how to make it work. Doing the avant-garde things I've been wanting to do; didn't do it all, but got through some items on the bucket list.

Top 2 Resolutions

Experiment with every work: it doesn't matter in which way or how, but incorporate something I wouldn't normally do to keep myself from growing complacent. Keep up with the 2 days of writing, 1 day of resting rinse-and-repeat cycle while working on a project - gives me motive and there's built-in rest for when I'm tired of keeping myself so I can go write.

🗣️ Talk about your favourite WIP

Metamorphosis. Despite all the stress is causes me.

Like all my fics it has turned out to be far longer than initially planned. Chapter three has been a wip for almost two years and I'm pretty sure by the time its done the sheer length of it is going to turn a few people off.

But, I've come to realise quite recently that I don't really care if this fic gets a lot of attention.

I haven't had a lot of luck when it comes to grimmichi, I've shipped them for about ten years but most of my fic ideas end up becoming way too complex and plotty and I end up losing my patience and burning out before I get anywhere with them.

I think I haven't encountered this problem with metamorphosis because the plot basically follows canon except Grimmjow is an omega and he's got to come to terms with how that affects his life once he becomes an arrancar. That gives me plenty of room to play around and explore a lot of the little things that I've wanted to over to years, particularly those surrounding hollow/arrancar lore, which hasn't been expanded on nearly enough imo.

I've enjoyed fleshing out the different relationships dynamics Grimmjow shares with others too. There's more of his fraccion in chapter three, and Starrk, as well as the introduction on Ulquiorra. Plenty of Aizen and god I love writing Aizen from Grimmjow's pov, it's a combination of intense dislike and admiration which will later contrast with the dislike and admiration he comes to feel with Ichigo...

...but we're still miles away from that yet!

❌️ What WIP do you find the most challenging? Why?

That would be end the fight.

The difficulty I've had with most of my harringrove fics is that they're set in the 80s (before I was born) and in the US (never visited). There's a lot of little cultural differences to keep in mind and I've constantly got to check myself for using British words/phrases. Obviously there's going to be some inaccuracies and I'm okay with that but I don't want readers, most of whom will be US-americans, to be taken out of the story because someone said "wank".

So, there's been a lot of research needed for this fic. Some of it I don't mind, like finding out how a broken jaw heals - I actually found that really fascinating, but other parts like trying to figure out how much the medical bills would be, insurance and all that... yeah my patience ran out and I just skimmed around that part. But it can really slow me down if my brain is refusing to move on and come back to it later. Which happens a lot!

5. What ship(s) captured your heart?

In terms of writing, GrimmIchi is once again reigning over my heart. The enemies to begrudging allies to sort of friends to lovers vibes always make me happy!

I also wrote a bit of Geto/Nanami/Gojo, and that was fun! I really like their dynamic as a triad and honestly every part of the Bar AU that I manage to post makes me so so happy.

6. Did you write for a new fandom or ship this year?

I don't think I wrote anything for a new fandom or ship tied to this blog/AO3 account...I wanted to though. I have plans for some Twisted Wonderland stuff that I want to play around with a bit, I just haven't had the energy to write as much as I usually do.

11. What fic was the easiest to write?

I'll be entirely honest here: I don't think any of the fics I wrote this year was easier to write than the others. Each had their own challenges, but the largest challenge I faced this year was the struggle with my mental illness and excessive demands from work that left me with no energy and had me hit burnout in late May/early June. As you may know, burnout is something that takes about 3-5 years to recover from, so it's been a struggle at times throughout this entire year to get my spirits lifted and myself motivated, and I am super proud of myself for the stuff I did manage to write💜

I’m slapping y’all with a wip bc i have no idea when I’ll get to finish him - its finals week, i have to go back to work, fall semester starts in three weeks, I have an fuckload of fic left to manifest and this has already taken me like 34 hours so here’s a lil snack

In an effort to make myself a more consistent artist, i did 9 million sketches of Grimmjow on what I’m now calling the “Grimmjow Challenge Board” which is just a regular bunch of sketches but i wasn’t allowed to use the eraser

In hindsight, that maybe wasn’t the best idea if i was going for consistency, but it was fun as fuck so i have no regrets

Tumblr’s image compression really isn’t kind to my art so some of the details have been lost but they all look like Grimmjow so I’m calling it a success

me, two minutes later in the middle of a duel: Ichigo’s even got the whole “possessed by a spirit” thing going for him and I could totally see Shiro/Ossan as an ancient king taking over every once in a while to deal with particularly challenging duels. Shiro has a terrible habit of sending people to the Shadow Realm and Ichigo’s wracked with guilt over it

Hmmmmmmmmmm....

 I really want an Ichigo (when will @ichxgo​ to return from the war and start writing with me again) to write with, but I’m quite particular and haven’t yet found another person who writes Ichigo in a way that I really vibe with. - Im a GrimmIchi shipper at heart and I miss writing their dynamic.

I’d say the same for Aizen. I’ve written a little with Lu and had a really great time with that, but we have different headcanons about how our muses should interact so the itch I have for Aizen isn’t quite satiated. But again. I’m rather picky and haven’t found anyone else that I vibe with as well. - I still feel like I havent uncovered Grimmjows feelings about this man, nor how Aizen recruited him, nor much of Grimmjows backstory at all. And to do this i think I need to write with an Aizen. Also. Self indulgence.

☹ What's a character that you refuse to play with? Why?

I was going to say I don’t have any but I actually do. Baby Nel, Yachiru, Kazui, and idk the name of the rukia/renji girl.

I don’t like writing with children muses. Not really any reason beyond that!

☣ What's one thing that will make you drop a thread?

Hmm, if too much time has passed, usually when I got too busy to reply and it sits in my inbox for a very long time. The threads usually dead by the time I get back to it. I feel pretty guilty when I drop threads - I have some in my drafts that are a year old that I know are done but aaaaaahhH!!!

Otherwise, Unfortunately. If the thread is boring. If there is no purpose for the threat (no specific aim to develop the relationship in a certain way, no plot being followed, no interesting conversation being had) then its really hard to find the energy or creativity to keep writing it.

I try to let people know when its not working for me so I’m not leaving them hanging.

And finally, sometimes fight threads. I find them very difficult to write and both my muses and my own insecurities flare up with fight threads. It makes it difficult and every sentence feels like a challenge. A few threads have died bc I just really struggle to write them! This is something that I’m working pretty hard to get better at tho.

"This is somehow going worse than I expected," Ichigo muttered under his breath, watching the bane of his existence break uncooked pasta in half, sending noodle shrapnel flying in every direction.

"What’d you say?" Grimmjow chimed back at him, throwing a handful of angel hair pasta in his direction.

"Oh fu--uudge you," Ichigo said, his voice tripping over itself as he noticed Yuzu peering at them around the corner, her fingers dancing along the paneling, yellow nails glinting in the afternoon sun.

She suggested 'cooking together' as a "good bonding experience", even though she'd stabbed Ichigo with a fork every time he'd tried to help her.

Pot, meet kettle.

"The tomato sauce is in the cabinet to the left. And don't forget the brown sugar!"

Ichigo rolled his eyes. Maybe this time Grimmjow wouldn't stick his finger in the sauce, lick it, and smear it over Ichigo’s face like some archaic face paint.

"The hell we need sugar for?" Grimmjow asked, scrunching up his nose.

Ichigo sighed. "To make it sweeter. Idiot." Grimmjow’s nose only crinkled more.

"But there's meat in this."

"Yes." It wasn’t a question, but Ichigo answered it like one.

"Gross."
