Updated design for Gulzar, because I was not satisfied with his original design. I decided he should be an Afghan hound mix, so he gets a lot more feathering this time. Made him look older too, he's supposed to be in his late 40s. And he gets a fancy little collar!! In this house, we love fancy dog collars!! Some lore tidbits: Gulzar of Isfahan (also known as Gulzar Esfahani) is a royal astrologer from 1600s Safavid Iran. As a prominent court advisor and close confidante of the reigning Shah, he has often been vilified by subsequent generations for his corruption and entanglement in courtly intrigue. Being one of my historic OCs, he isn't really connected to any other characters I've posted so far, though he does have his own associated cast of characters I hope to draw someday. I have to keep a lot of his lore close to my chest for the time being, since I'm playing him in an rp game, but someday I'll be able to say more about him.
