When I read:

i don’t think any Indian or Pakistani show has ever been able to achieve even half the aesthetic appeal and cinematographic brilliance as that of Barzakh- the storytelling, the metaphors, the visuals, all are just so brilliantly written and shot that every scene is a visual treat for the viewers.

husband!zaroon a drabble, just indulging in zaroon and kashaf's relationship!

husband!zaroon steps into the warmth of their home, the scent of something rich and feminine curling around him like an embrace, ah, his wife’s home, he sighs. his eyes sweep around, searching instinctively for her, his fingers tightening around the bouquet of roses hidden behind his back. “kashaf,” he calls softly, her name a melody on his lips, his heart swelling at the thought of her.

husband!zaroon finds her in the office, her silhouette framed by the golden light of the evening sun. she’s a vision—soft, radiant, her long hair falling in loose waves as she types away, her movements graceful. his breath catches, his mouth going dry. he wants to cross the room in an instant, to pull her into his arms and press feather-light kisses to her cheeks, her forehead, her lips. but he holds himself back, his steps casual as he approaches, though his pulse races like a man possessed.

husband!zaroon who compliments kashaf thoughtfully, telling her she looked sublime, all concentrated on work. ensuring his compliment reaches her depths and isn’t waived off as means of small talk. 

husband!zaroon lays the bouquet in front of her, her eyes widen as she finally pivots towards him - acknowledging his presence entirely now. a faint blush blooming on her cheeks, “what was the need for these?” she asks, her voice barely above a whisper, though the way her fingers curl around the stems betrays her delight. he brushes his hand against hers, a fleeting touch that sends a shiver through them both. “just because, kashaf,” he hums, his tone soothing, his gaze lingering on the way her lips curve into that shy, knowing smirk. and he knows he’s won again, she won’t put up any fight.

husband!zaroon kisses the same smirk off kashaf’s lips when they were in the privacy of their rooms, cuddling in bed, legs tangling. she would yelp and he would laugh, but she wouldn’t push him away, letting him do whatever he wanted with her.

husband!zaroon makes kashaf talk about her day, and whatever novel that kept her busy these days. he loves when her eyes lit up, speaking about what excites her, despite feigning nonchalance about everything. he can see right through her, reading her better than any book she touches now. 

husband!zaroon at the same time burns from jealousy. envious of a mere book for capturing his wife’s attention, more than him for the day. 

husband!zaroon who’s hands never want to leave kashaf’s body. his touch sometimes exploratory, learning the curves and edges of her. fingers memorizing what makes her sigh, what makes her shiver, what makes her moan and what makes her groan. other times, his touch is grounding, a silent promise that he’s there, that he sees her. in those moments, he’s not just her husband—he’s her home.

a/n: just wanted to get out a zaroon x kashaf drabble that was eating away at my mental capacity from writing literally anything.

ایک سیاح میکسیکو پہنچا، جہاں اس نے مقامی ماہی گیروں کی اعلیٰ مچھلیوں کی تعریف کی اور پوچھا:

“انہیں پکڑنے میں کتنا وقت لگتا ہے؟”

ماہی گیروں نے جواب دیا: “زیادہ نہیں!”

سیاح نے حیرت سے پوچھا: “پھر تم زیادہ شکار کیوں نہیں کرتے؟ زیادہ مچھلیاں پکڑ کر زیادہ کما سکتے ہو!”

ماہی گیروں نے مسکرا کر کہا: “ہمارا یہ شکار ہماری اور ہمارے خاندان کی ضروریات کے لیے کافی ہے۔”

سیاح نے مزید پوچھا: “تو باقی وقت میں کیا کرتے ہو؟”

انہوں نے جواب دیا: “ہم دیر تک سوتے ہیں، تھوڑا شکار کرتے ہیں، اپنے بچوں کے ساتھ کھیلتے ہیں، بیویوں کے ساتھ کھاتے ہیں، دوستوں کے ساتھ شام گزارتے ہیں اور خوش رہتے ہیں۔”

سیاح جوش سے بولا:

“میرے پاس ہارورڈ سے ماسٹرز ہے، میں تمہاری مدد کر سکتا ہوں! اگر تم زیادہ شکار کرو، زیادہ بیچو، ایک بڑا جہاز خریدو، پھر دوسرا، تیسرا، یہاں تک کہ پورا بیڑہ بنا لو، تو ایک دن اپنی فیکٹری بھی کھول سکتے ہو! پھر گاؤں چھوڑ کر کسی بڑے شہر جاؤ، کاروبار کرو، اور کروڑوں کماؤ!”

ماہی گیروں نے پوچھا: “یہ سب کرنے میں کتنا وقت لگے گا؟”

سیاح: “بیس، پچیس سال!”

ماہی گیر: “اور اس کے بعد؟”

سیاح خوش ہو کر بولا: “پھر تم ریٹائر ہو سکتے ہو، کسی ساحلی گاؤں میں جا کر سکون سے زندگی گزار سکتے ہو، دیر تک سو سکتے ہو، بچوں کے ساتھ کھیل سکتے ہو، بیویوں کے ساتھ کھا سکتے ہو، اور شام دوستوں کے ساتھ گزار سکتے ہو۔”

ماہی گیروں نے مسکرا کر جواب دیا:

“یہ تو ہم ابھی بھی کر رہے ہیں! تو پھر پچیس سال کی مشقت کیوں؟”

زندگی کی دوڑ میں ہم اکثر خوشی کو ایک ایسی منزل سمجھتے ہیں جو محنت، دولت، اور کامیابی کے بعد ملے گی، مگر کبھی سوچا؟

کیا خوشی وہی نہیں جو ابھی ہمارے پاس ہے؟

ہم اپنی صحت، خاندان، اور آخرت کو پسِ پشت ڈال کر دن رات بھاگ دوڑ میں لگے رہتے ہیں،

یہ سوچ کر کہ جب ہمارے پاس سب کچھ ہوگا، تب ہم خوش ہوں گے۔

مگر جب طاقت ختم ہو جائے،

جوانی گزر جائے،

موت سر پر آ کھڑی ہو،

تو پھر وہ خوشی، جس کے لیے سب کچھ قربان کیا،

کیا واقعی وہی خوشی ہوگی جس کی ہمیں تلاش تھی؟

زندگی کی خوبصورتی توازن میں ہے۔

نہ بے مقصد بھاگنا، نہ رک کر کھو جانا۔

بس ہر لمحہ جینا اور وہ خوشی محسوس کرنا، جو حقیقت میں ہمیشہ ہمارے قریب ہی تھی۔_______________

Sometimes i read a quote somewhere and i love it so much that i sit back and think "what if words doesn't exist? What would've i done without them?" That's why i love words, sentences, that's why i love literature.

Aik baat hamesha yaad rakhein. Zindagi mein talluq hota hai. Talluq mein zindagi nahi hoti. Kuch loug ghalti se talluq ko zindagi samajh bethe hain. Talluq tootne par khud bhi toot jaate hain bilkul isi tarah zindagi mein mohabbat hoti hai, Mohabbat mein zindagi nahi hoti. Zindagi mein hadisa hota hai. Hadsay mein zindagi nahi hoti. Zindagi mein dard hota hai. Dard mein zindagi nahi hoti. Aur kuch bhi khatam hone se zindagi khatam nahi hoti.
