About Me

Hello! I'm Harrow (he/they), and I've been on and off writeblr for years now. Please don't mind the mess as I very slowly start to organize and clean up my blog! I live in a place with a lot of mountains, with my two cats who regularly commit tax fraud, among other crimes. By day, I do regular maintenance work on cars, by every-spare-moment, I scribble out nonsense scenarios for the little guys living in my head.

Alongside writing, I enjoy video games and overanalyzing my favorite media in my friends' DMs. I also, on very rare occasions, dabble in making art.

I do use my likes on my blog as a bookmark system, to keep track of posts I want to look at more in depth later or to reblog later when I'm off of mobile. If I've liked it, it'll go into the queue soon, I promise!

About My Writing

My favorite things to write are sci-fi and high fantasy, and sometimes I consider really convoluted projects that combine the two. I love some extensive world-building, and I regularly think about conlangs I would love to create. I stick with writing NA and general adult stuff, mostly novels with the occasional short story.

What I Follow

I do tend to be pretty selective with what I follow. I'm here more for making friends than I am anything else, friends who share my interest with writing. Ask games, tag games, what-have-you, I want to engage with them all! I'm always willing to give my discord out to mutuals, and my Tumblr inbox is always open for chatting!

Same as my writing, I tend to prefer sci-fi and fantasy in what I want to read and follow from fellow writeblrs. If you've got some good hefty worldbuilding, I want to see it. I'm always open to looking at other genres, of course, those are just my favorite.

I HATE HATE HATE the common fandom hc of Yakou being a father figure to Yuma or the whole NDA or to any character. The vibes aren't aligning on that one, he's their extremely tired boss/acquaintance/pal/best pal that lets them do terrible things to his budget if they torment him hard enough. Relating to the above, there are some nights where I only have the muse for certain threads, or even just memes or drabbles. Please respect that and don’t take offense that I’m not replying.

I’m painfully shy. While I refuse to use this as an excuse to avoid interacting with other people, just know that if I don’t talk to you or interact with you. This is something I'm working on improving on, but I'll admit it does help if I get hints of interest from you (even if it's just liking some of my other posts)

IC =/= OOC; If one of my muses doesn’t like your muse please don’t assume that I don’t like you. Val can be a dick sometimes. Chances are I do, very much like you.

IMs/DMs can cause me a lot of anxiety. This doesn’t mean that you can’t send them, but please understand there are some days I just may not reply. It’s not anything you did, it just spares me some stress because otherwise I’ll hyperfocus on them and not get anything done, resulting in a sense of guilt. So please just respect that. Also please don’t IM me just because I’m online; chatting is one of the hardest things.

You may have noticed this is now a sideblog. I don't feel like I can handle blog-hopping right now, or know for certain if I'm going to be able to keep things up. If that dissuades you from interacting with me, that's perfectly understandable.

Interactions:

I do not follow back without at least a rules page, and preferably a rules and an about page. If you're new to rp and new help on where to start, I'd be happy to help.

I have the usual roleplay rules-no godmodding, ect. Usually I give a warning, but if I do please don’t take it lightly. If you aren’t sure, or you’re new to rp and keep seeing the word ‘godmod’ floating around without understanding, just come talk to me and we’ll figure things out.

I don’t have much experience with Pokémon Special, so this will primarily be a game-verse blog. That being said, I’m more than happy to do crossovers of any sort, including between fandoms. Just understand that I may not be well-versed in the world from which your character comes, so you may have to give me some details.

OCs, multi-muse blogs, gijinkas, and Pokémon are welcome. I’m not very picky about who I thread with, so long as you understand the italicized rule above.

I also rp with multiples of the same muse. I do not have a main verse.

Likewise, I will do one-liners, para, and multi-para threads, though I lean towards multi-para. Sometimes my replies will be short, so please forgive me. I’ll try to match your length. Don’t feel compelled to match mine if you can’t think of anything, but I’d appreciate a thoughtful reply that I can work with.

This is a multi-ship blog. Unless relationship conflict is discussed between all involved roleplayers and agreed upon, no muse is cheating on anyone. 

I am all for having pre-established relationships. Come talk to me if you want to do that. We can also retcon a relationship if we’ve already started something.

I do not do greeters.

Most of the time I wing interactions, but I’d be happy to plot as well. Just remember that sometimes I take awhile to reply to asks.

While I don’t consider myself super strict on reblog karma, if I only ever see you reblogging memes from my blogs and never sending things, I will be disheartened and less inclined to interact with you. I’m working on gently reaching out to people if I see them doing this, and the majority of the time I reblog memes from a meme source if you can’t think of anything to send me personally.

However, if I've only ever seen you reblog memes from me (usually over a decent period of time because I'm slow to notice stuff), without interacting with me. you will be soft blocked.

Content:

The mun does not claim ownership of any art unless it’s tagged ‘Wings arts’.

Mun is of age, as are most of the muses, but it’s worth double-checking. Sexy fun times may occur on 18+ muses but are unlikely, and will be put under a read more. Other NSFW topics, like gore, may appear as well.

Similarly, triggers will be tagged, including gore. I tag ending with TW (ex: violence tw). Because I’m human I occasionally miss things, so don’t be afraid to message me if I have to go back and tag things. Please tell me if there’s anything you need me to tag for you, and I’m more than happy to do so.

I’d love to rp some Pokémon battles. However, instead of just jumping into a battle, I’d rather we either discuss the battle and outcome beforehand, or use a RNG to decide what attacks hit and such (I have a system I’ve used in the past that worked wonderfully, and would be happy to share it). 

If at any point you want to ship, just let me know. I can’t promise that my muse will feel the same, but I’m willing to at least give it a try as long as there’s chemistry and you respect my other rules.

I’m 26 years old and I have a girlfriend who I adore very much. She’s incredible. An angel who put up with all my bullshit. I’m bi and she’s my first girlfriend. We’ve been together for a year. However in our relationship, she’s the one that is spoiled by me. Which is fine bcs I love her, but yeah I put more effort.

I just started a new job and I work under this COO. He’s very smart and he’s only a month older than me. He’s a really really really nice guy and he has a girlfriend. We’ve been going on working trips with 3 other people for some weeks. We’re professionals but also casual.

These past few days I kinda realized I might have a crush on him. Just kinda noticed how he is such an attentive listener. He’s very attentive in general. Even though he’s the COO, he’s very humble and doesn’t think of himself as a boss. In fact, I think I consider him a friend.

With him, I feel like I can talk about anything. Which is worrying bcs he is actually my boss. He gets my weird sense of humor. He’s also very funny and it’s worrying how much we joke around with each other privately. We used to only talk in group now he’s sending me memes via work chat.

So far nothing ‘out of place’ has happened. He would randomly send pictures of his lunch or dinner. Or he would send me pictures while he was in a traffic.

What makes me worry is he just sent me a picture of sunset from his place (we are working remotely). And he only said ‘I just remembered you like sunset 😁🌅’ and I only responded with ‘omg so beautiful 😮🤩’

He would also ask me whether I’ve had lunch or not. Asking me why I’m still online at 9pm. All harmless things.

But those things did something to my heart (very corny I know).

So sorry for the long text. I don’t know what to do.

I don't know that you need to do anything about this. It feels like something that will either come to a head in its own way, or pass and you'll feel nothing. Like yes it's complicated - but are you both just at funny points in your relationships and finding something in each other, or are you really making a connection? I'm not sure we know yet which one it is. If you want to know, you can ask him but you risk a lot and only you know if it's worth it I think.

It's a really tough one. But the other option is working out what you're getting in this and raising it with your partner. I think being with someone isn't just love, it's choosing someone over and over again and you don't always know when to stop choosing them... but if you want to keep choosing your girlfriend, tell her that you'd like it if she did whatever it is that your boss does that most particularly feels good. If you think it's time to stop choosing her, think about if you're just looking for a getaway car.

There isn't an easy answer. But love isn't just there. It's an action and a choice and all of that.

Anyone who’s played with me before knows that I’m the slowest guy. I used to worry over this a lot, but this most recent bout with illness has made me re-evaluate how I want to look at time here and stress about this less. I’m going to answer things when I can and keep a tracker so I can see everything and not drop things on accident, but I’m going to treat it less like a deadline. If you want to carry on a thing and don’t mind if I take weeks, let’s do it! If you prefer a partner that’s quicker, I’m not the guy for you.

I tend to write multi-paragraph style, with small text but otherwise minimal formatting. I use icons sometimes, but not always. If you would prefer I use normal text size / no images / etc, let me know - I can accommodate these things.

I’m not even sure if it’s necessary to add any more, but of course: it’s not cool to godmod, control other people’s characters, kill each other without discussing combat first, badger people for speedy replies, engage in callout culture, etc. Please be a nice human.

Not interested in interacting with people that engage in racist or homophobic / aphobic behaviour. Also not interested in looking at ships for this character that involve incest or large age gaps. I will not write Doffy and Cora as a romantic relationship, and I will not write Cora and Law or any similarly aged characters that way either.

Triggers for me: Please tag all images of dental injuries with ‘teeth tw’ or something similar. I have just about every iteration blacklisted. Additionally, please tag all content involving a/b/o threads/art/etc and, for lack of a less loaded word, ‘x humanoid character has/gets/is ‘cursed’ with x animal traits/whatever now’ threads/etc as well. I have just about every iteration of both of these blacklisted (I think). Any general a/b/o tag will work just fine; for the latter, I suggest ‘animal traits tw’ or ‘zoomorphism tw’. If you post this that’s fine, but I might not be able to follow you. Deeply personal reasons for me as an individual and as a professional / animal advocate - For clarity: hybrid or shapeshifter characters that actively deal with their hybridity and its consequences are not the same thing. I have a problem when humans put on animal characteristics like costumes for aesthetic purposes / kink / amusement / etc.

Writer and character are both of age, so shipping is fine as long as the other character and writer are of age as well. I will not write with underage muns at all, full stop.

I don’t really foresee myself shipping this character much, but if we’ve interacted and you ship a thing, whether it be romantic or platonic, you should let me know. I usually can’t see that sort of thing.

I have a complicated relationship with writing games. I love them in concept and love getting to send my friends things and answer questions / draw prompts / etc, but the havoc they bring to my notes can make it impossible for me to run a blog. General roleplay etiquette applies. No god modding, no controlling my character, etc. Literate roleplays are my go-to unless they are crack/joking with others and dash commentary. You are not obligated to match my length and vice versa, but do put some effort into the writing! I use icons as well that I make myself and format my lettering. If you want to write and find my formatting difficult to read, just let me know and I will happily use plain text. Also, if you are new to roleplaying/writing on Tumblr, I am much less likely write with you. I just prefer experience, is all.

Plotting is important to me, but not absolutely necessary. I enjoy knowing where to push the plot towards for better and more efficient writing. However, I am very capable of spur of the moment interactions so feel free to do either.

Please don’t take anything said as beliefs or morals of the mun (Me) unless specifically stated otherwise. Sometimes bad guys say bad things, sometimes good guys say bad things. If you don’t care for how I portray Clora, then that’s fine.

Activity can be spacey. I love to write, but irl responsibilities take priority. As a college student and an artist, I dip often. But I almost always lurk so feel free to send messages/asks.
