Hello to all 0 people who follow me.

I wrote a Johnny-centric Christmas fic two years ago and I just reread it and I still think it’s cute and I wanted to toss it into the void hoping someone will decide to give it a read.

I’m not really writing jjba stuff anymore but I have so many sbr fic drafts so when/if my mental health improves I’d love to finish and post them.

there was this beautiful wonderful ethereal gut-wrenching heart-achingly fantastic gyjo fic on ao3 called "you look to the sun and you're gone," i believe, and it's been missing or deleted for a few months now and i think about it every day so if someone knows if/where i can find it PLEASE HELP bc i already tried the wayback machine (which didn't yield any results) and my ancient computer cannot download the software needed to retrieve it by other means, alack (i cannot remember the name of the author unfortunately but wherever they are i hope they know they made a masterpiece)

Gyro had seen all sorts of body marks and smidges as his time as a surgeon. All splotchy and random. But the five clear points on his companion’s shoulder was like nothing he’d ever seen in his career.

He tried not to stare as Johnny threw off his dirty hooded vest, the blue fabric tattered and worn down from their travels. Quickly his muscular back was revealed in Gyro’s direction, all that time without use of his lower half has built his upper body strength significantly. His shoulder’s were lightly sprinkled with freckles just like his fair face. Gyro sighs quietly, following the trail of star dust across his neck and shoulder junction to the…birthmark? Tattoo?

Gyro wasn’t sure.

It would certainly be an interesting choice of tattoo, since its colour was more a skin tone than an ink. So birthmark then? What birthmark could possibly be star shaped…

“Quit starin’.” Johnny wasn’t looking at him.

Gyro froze. He had been staring, hadn’t he?

“Scusa.” Gyro apologises quietly. Going back to unpacking his clothes for the night.

Johnny begins to scrub his shirt with a damp cloth, trying to remove the dark blood stains and mud. Gyro only glances once in a while throughout Johnny’s task.

When Gyro can’t take it anymore, he speaks up.

“Is it a tattoo?” The Neapolitan blurts out, not really letting himself think before he spoke.

“Huh? Oh…” Johnny says, turning around to face Gyro. Said man waits patiently for his answer, hands in his lap.

“Well, it’s not a tattoo. I was born with this mark,” Johnny says, tracing the star with a finger.

“My father and brother had one too.” He finishes, pulling his hand away from his shoulder, looking up at Gyro again.

Gyro was even more curious now.

“R-really? That’s impressive…” The surgeon says with wonder that Johnny finds slightly endearing. The fascination with his birthmark and all around attention on his body from his race partner was making him slightly flustered.

“Well…I guess so.” Johnny brushes off Gyro’s comment, turning his attention back to cleaning his clothes again.

“I’m serious! In my field of work, it’s so interesting to see such things, Johnny…” Gyro says, accent thick. He doesn’t want to freak Johnny out with his weird obsession. Johnny smiles a little and lets out a huff.

“What’s so funny, huh?” Gyro asks, no aggression in his tone.

Johnny snickers, covering his mouth his with hand. Gyro’s face softens a little. That’s new.

“You’re weird.” Johnny says. Gyro snorts.

“Yeah okay.” Gyro rolls his eyes, shuffling over to sit by Johnny.

Johnny eyes him,

“What’re ya doin’?”

“I wanna see it up close- If that’s okay? Gyro asks, hesitant. Johnny just stares at him, which makes Gyro panic a bit.

“Well! It was just a suggestion I won’t-“

“You can look.” Johnny says, straight-faced. Gyro tries to suppress the smile that itches under his lips, reaching out so carefully and slowly to Johnny’s shoulder as he works.

When his index finger meets Johnny’s skin the air around them changes, Johnny doesn’t stop cleaning his vest but Gyro could feel the shift in his mood. Not a bad shift, but it was certainly different.

He felt the skin on the birthmark gently, it didn’t feel bumpy. Completely smooth and perfectly shaped, as if the most talented artist had used his body as a canvas. Gyro’s attention was caught by Johnny’s muscles shaking slightly.

“Johnny?” Gyro asks, wondering if Johnny had had enough of Gyro touching him for one day.

*snort*

Gyro paused. Did he just-

Gyro trails his finger along an arm of the star and Johnny loses it.

“GHAHAHA!! G-GYRO-“ Johnny cackles as Gyro continues to trace the birthmark with his finger, evil grin on his face.

“GYRO! S-STOP THAT! *SNORT* GHAHAHA!!” Johnny had collapsed onto his side, clutching his stomach as he tried to reel away from the attacking finger. Gyro couldn’t be more pleased with this discovery.

He decided he was going to enjoy this a little longer.

Gyro leaned over Johnny on the floor and made a tickle motion with his fingers on the birthmark, and Johnny started to laugh louder than before.

“CHRIST! GYRO ‘M GONNA PISS MYSELF- STOP THAT!” Johnny was in hysterics. Gyro continued though, laughing loudly himself and he situates himself over Johnny, no room to escape the tickles of doom.

“GAHAHAHA!! GYRO STOP IT! HAHAHA!!” Johnny had tears running down his face, smiling wider than Gyro had ever seen before.

This was nice, Johnny hardly smiles, let alone laughs.

Gyro decided to take pity on the jockey when he got a more urgent complaint about being about to wet himself, instead just settling for looking down at Johnny.

Neither of them mentioned Gyro staying on top of him like this for so long, so Gyro didn’t move. Johnny’s face was red from laughter, his eyes full of mirth and hair disheveled even with his hat on his head. He was still beaming up at Gyro…his heart skipped a beat.

Then, just when it felt like this magic little bubble they’d created around themselves would last for an eternity, Johnny’s grin softens and he taps Gyro’s leg.

Getting the signal, Gyro hops off and sits next to him on the ground.

“I didn’t know that it was ticklish…” Johnny spoke, breaking the momentary silence. Gyro smirks.

“With my great intuition Johnny, you can’t hide any tickle spot from me.” He grinned down at Johnny with his sparkling grills. Johnny’s face hadn’t lost its shade of red.

“Guess I’m gonna get to tickle you in return right?” Johnny says, not thinking before the words left his mouth. There was a pause before they both laughed heartily.

“I’ll buy you a drink first, bello” Gyro winks and Johnny rolls his eyes.

Just when Gyro thought he’d have to explain that he wasn’t kidding, Johnny whispers,

“I’d like that.”

For another 2 ships as control scores, here's some JJBA ships:

Johnny x Gyro(Gyjo): 9/10

-They already were good partners during the entire story, especially when they started the search for the corpse parts. It isn't really out of Johnny's or Gyro's established characters for the relationship to be at least viable in the long run.

-They also have a great dynamic, with the more comedic and calm Gyro, abnd the serious loner Johnny.

-Only thing that puts it below Rouge x Knuckles is that it is a ship that is obvious in kind of a bad way. You can easily see how the relationship goes, which leads to REALLY bad slow-burn. It also should take advantage of the plot of SBR in some regard, so you also have the ticking time bomb of Love Train. You really can't get a good slow-burn relationship under the conditions of SBR. AUs don't REALLY count for the purposes of the rating (As in, we are looking at it through the lens of the canon universe/timeline. If an event happens there, we assume it happens in a potential fic. Anything works given the right context, we're talking about it with the context of exclusively the canon.) TLDR: You see where everything goes really easily if it's brought up, and it makes slow-burn less interesting.

Jolyne x Ermes: 7/10

-Again, another good ship. Better then Jolyne x Anasui, has good elements of it's own, and it's just pretty good. Not amazing, but really good.
