Imma say it Solo Leveling fits into this very specific niche that only HackGU used to occupy. That if they simply made a game where you made your own character and put as much detail as they did into their webtoon to a game. You would have an instant hit- and no it doesn't have to be an mmorpg. I specifically mean we take everything from HackGU (gameplay wise) toss in some Persona lite, where the choices you make influnces your powers. Yes it would have to be on rails storywise but god would it eat down if someone sat down and thought it through.

I love the world of Solo leveling, I wanna live my overpowered fantasy too lmao

I binged the hell out of .hack//gu recently. When I played as a kid I kinda just rushed it and I think I didmt appreciate it. So you can bet I did every possible thing I could. Championed Crimson VS, did the Forest of Pain, married EVERYONE.

But best wife is still Alkaid.

I’m halfway through a .hack//gu fanfic that I never finished........... it’s silabus/haseo bc im weak for them Anywhere he’s a small thing from it:

  “It’s Valentines Day.”

  “Okay,” Silabus says, as politely as he can, waiting.  

  “You were carried up here by a dragon, right?  Up this tower.”

  “Yes,” he replies, lost.  “Sorry Haseo, I don’t get what you’re saying.”

  “Think of the most stereotypical love story you know.  Western style.”  Yuuichi blinks in the real world, PC asleep and unable to reflect the action.  Haseo sighs and sticks a hip out.  “Dragons, princess, tower.”  

  It clicks.  “Oh.”  He fidgets.  “Oh.”

  Haseo clears his throat.  “There’s only ever one way to wake the princess up.”  Mentally, Silabus begins a list of Things He’d Never Thought He’d Hear Haseo Say.  “Uh.  So.”

  Yuuichi’s cheeks flare hot and bright in the dark of his apartment.  So what?  So he’s going to kiss Silabus?  “Well maybe we should call one of the girls?? I don’t think - Atoli wouldn’t mind, or Alkaid might - you know - or maybe even Endrance.  I mean he likes you a lot more than me but I think he’d be happy to help, he can be really nice!”  Yuuichi’s voice cracks at the last word.  His cheeks burn warmer.  Why isn’t he ever cool?

An NPC puts you to sleep, kidnaps you and throws you into a tower onto a bed and leaves? He can normally find the fun in just about anything, especially if Gaspard is with him, but this is definitely bizarre; and a little scary. AO3
