This song fits for AllLu ships.
My brain jumps to Sanlu and Lawlu, but I can also fit Zolu and Hanlu too.

The Adventure of Us

Word Count: 2,840
Fluff, Romance, Domestic, Married Life, Family, Post-Canon
Summary: Even after becoming King of the Pirates, there are still plenty of adventures to be had for Luffy. For example? Tearing across Amazon Lily with his boisterous twins!
It was a calm morning in the rainforest of Amazon Lily. The birds had finished their dawn chorus and, now that the sun was shining brightly in the cerulean sky, were now on to the next item on their agendas: acquiring breakfast. Perched on the long, twisting branch of a mango tree, a ruby-red macaw stood still, its head cocked slightly so its bright black eye could survey for predators. Though the air was alive with screeching monkeys, chirping insects, and cacophonous birdsong, the mango tree was shrouded in an aura of stillness. Its keen eyes could detect no subtle flickers of color or breaks in the spears of light that would indicate a predator silently stalking through the thick, lush greenery. So, the macaw determined it safe to proceed and carefully picked its way down the branch.
Its claws made small clicks against the tree’s bark. With ungainly, shuffling movements, it inched down the branch towards the end—where dozens of plump, juicy mangoes hung just begging to be plucked. As the branch began to thin, the bird’s weight began to affect it, making it bob and sway. The golden-brown mangoes jostled and the leaves quivered, but the macaw continued undaunted towards its quarry. Within a minute, it was within pecking distance of an absolutely sumptuous-looking specimen.
Slowly, carefully, the bird stretched out its neck and opened its beak to take a bite of the fruit—
Tumblr media
“Raaaaaaaaaaaah!” Luffy roared as he exploded from the undergrowth, running on all fours like a beast. As he did so, the rainforest burst around him. A coatimundi sprang nearly a foot in the air and landed in a sprint, fleeing into the bushes; a collection of butterflies delicately sipping the moisture from a mossy tree launched into the air, swirling around his head in a dazzling array of blues and greens; and a macaw screeched in fright as it burst from a mango tree, sending several of the fruits raining down around him. They split open when they struck the forest floor, spilling sticky juice and sweet yellow flesh everywhere. Though Luffy would normally stop and partake in such an easy and convenient snack, he did not cease his thunderous charge across the leaf-strewn ground. He had eyes only for the hunt, for the prey tantalizingly close before him.
Luffy tucked his arms close to his body and planted his feet into the ground; then, with a jump that pushed fissures into the soft, loamy soil beneath the soles of his flip-flops, he leaped at the bobbing and weaving shadows desperately trying to disappear into the gap between two bushes.
“Gotcha!” he howled triumphantly as he stretched out both his arms, winding them several times around the bodies of his wiggling prey. The two wailed in dismay, their screams rising in pitch as Luffy’s momentum carried him through the bush and over the slope of a steep ravine. Luffy rolled up like a pillbug and went careening down the slope like a runaway wagon wheel.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa!” With each jarring judder of his body, surprised squawks of alarm were torn from his lungs. He held the small bodies of his quarry tight to either side of him; they screeched maniacally, tearing the previously quiet forest air to shreds. The ground gradually leveled out, but Luffy kept rolling for several feet, right out of the rainforest and onto the grassy lawn of a secluded cottage.
With a groan, Luffy uncurled himself and sprawled out onto his back. He had not the strength to hang onto his catch; as his body de-stretched, slithering across the grass like snakes, the two forms wiggled away from him. Then, one after the other, they plopped down onto Luffy’s chest. The air was driven from his lungs, coming out as a breezy “oof!” He lifted his head, his straw hat flopping away from his messy black curls of hair, and was greeted with the radiant beams of his twin five-year-old daughters.
“Daddy, Daddy, again!” squealed the one sitting on her hands and knees on the right side of his chest, air whistling through the gap of her recently lost front baby tooth.
“Let’s play again! One more game of tag, please!” pleaded his other, even as a bedraggled beetle kicked its spindly legs in a desperate effort to escape the loops of her black hair that had knotted around it.
“Lana, Lani—Daddy’s tired,” Luffy wheezed. The two girls chorused in shrill whines of protest, and Luffy ignored them, letting his head flop back down and closing his eyes. Not satisfied with their father’s answer, the two girls began to pull at his cheeks, stretching them until drool leaked out and then letting them snap back into place. This soon became more entertaining than running around the forest like creatures possessed; their delighted giggles rose into the air like bubbles, occasionally joined by the sharp thwack! of Luffy’s rubbery skin snapping. He made no move to stop them. It wasn’t like it hurt, and this way, at least they could be entertained in a way that didn’t exhaust him.
He’d only had his eyes closed for half a minute or so before he heard the creak of the cottage door opening, followed by the clunking of his wife’s heels against the wooden porch. He cracked his eyes open and tipped his head back to see an upside-down figure striding towards them, her long skirt swishing around her legs and black hair cascading around her body.
“Oh, dear. It’s not even nine o’clock, and they’ve already worn you out?” Hancock tutted sympathetically as she crouched down at his head and reached down to gently run her fingers through his sweat-slicked hair. “This is why I tell you not to let them have sugar first thing in the morning…”
“But Auntie Nami’s tangerine syrup is the best!” Lani cried.
“How can you say that? Most of it ends up on your face,” Lana cackled.
Lani gasped in affront and whipped her head around to look incredulously at her sister. Lana just blew a teasing raspberry at her. There was a moment of terse silence; then, the two girls sprang at one another with angry screeches. They collided in the air like a thunderclap, clawing and punching and kicking, and went rolling off into the grass. Luffy breathed in deep, relieved to finally have their weight off their chest.
“Darling, shouldn’t we stop them?” Hancock sighed like she always did when their daughters got into a row. Luffy had his eyes closed again, and he didn’t open them as he shook his head.
“Nah. Give it a minute. They’ll roll into the creek.”
Sure enough, as soon as he said it, there was a pair of surprised squeals followed by a splash. Luffy opened one eye to peek out of his peripheral vision, and he found his daughters sitting in the bed of the creek that moseyed along the right side of their property. They blinked at one another, then howled with laughter and began splashing water into one another’s faces.
“See? Their fights never last long. They can’t stay mad at each other,” Luffy boasted.
Now that he had laid there for several seconds and caught his breath, Luffy began to feel reinvigorated. It was even more so with the sun shining down on him, warming his skin pleasurably. With a happy hum, he reached over his head to loosely wind his arms around his wife’s slim waist. Ah, with these kinds of conditions, he could easily slip into a nap…
“Look at you. King of the Pirates, and you’re as docent as a lap dog,” Hancock teased. “What would your crew say if they saw you?”
“Nuthin’, ‘cuz I did this on the boat, too. Shishishishi!” he cackled. He then opened his eyes halfway to gaze up at Hancock with warm eyes, soft and full of affection. “Besides, they could make fun of me all they wanted. I don’t care, ‘cuz I’m happy here with you, Hancock.”
His wife released a little gasp. She always did when he went and said things like that. It was cute, how even after all these years, she was still so charmed by things like that. With a purr-like hum rumbling in his chest, Luffy reached up to trace his fingertips over her cheek, mirroring the path of the blush spreading through her soft skin.
“To be honest, I still can’t believe it,” Hancock admitted quietly. He cocked a brow at her utterance, and she averted her gaze, blush deepening as her lips tightened into a frown.
Luffy noticed she was staring at their children, and he turned his head. They were now sitting on the bank of the creek, apparently making mudpies. He turned back to Hancock with a questioning look.
“I just… Everyone always told me that your place was out there.” She gestured loosely into the distance, where the sea was just barely visible as a shimmering blue stripe against the backdrop of rolling hills leading down to the beach. “They said… that you would never truly settle down. That the sea would call you back, and I’d be left alone. That…” Her bottom lip quivered, and to Luffy’s dismay, her eyes flooded with tears. “That I could never be your one true love,” she whispered hoarsely.
It was Luffy’s turn to frown. As he considered her words, he caught the tears that leaked from her eyes with his thumb. He’d noticed that she’d been growing antsier as the twins got more active and demanded to play outside. He thought that was just her being concerned about the dangers of the rainforest—not that she was beginning to fear that the call of adventure would whisk him away.
Luffy drew in a breath, and then let it out.
“‘When one adventure ends, another begins,’” he murmured.
“What’s that?” she asked, tipping her head to the side.
“Somethin’ Shanks once told me,” he answered with a smirk. “When he went back to live with Makino and the baby. I asked him why he was giving up sailing when there was so much adventure to be had out there.”
“And that’s what he told you?”
“Yup. To be honest, I didn’t get it back then,” he said. He suddenly grinned and reached up to grab Hancock’s head, pulling it down over his until the tips of their noses were touching.
Hancock gasped, her hands flying to the grass on either side of them to brace herself, and her eyes glistened as she gaped down at him.
“I do now, though.”
Hancock opened her mouth and then clamped it shut tight. Her eyes flooded with tears again, so much so that they immediately started dripping down onto Luffy’s face. One hand slipped forward to hold her cheek, while the other began to weave through her waves of black hair.
“It’s true. I do love the sea,” he admitted. “And I always will. After all, it brought me to you.”
Hancock flushed at that, and she was unable to keep the giddy smile from tugging at her lips despite the seriousness of the moment. Luffy didn’t mind. It was just one of the many things he loved about her—the way her emotions showed so clearly on her face. Chuckling, he began to idly stroke her cheek with his thumb.
“I miss it, I do. I’ll go down to the beach sometimes and look, wonder what the horizon holds… But I know that now’s not the time to go looking for it.”
“Now?” she questioned, with a hint of worry poisoning her tone. Luffy frowned, trying to find the right words to say. He’d never been the best at this kind of thing.
“What I mean is—I would never leave you behind. If I wanted to go back, I would take you with me. The girls too.”
“And… If I didn’t want to go…?” Hancock asked tremulously.
Luffy just shrugged.
“Then I wouldn’t go. My love of the sea and adventure isn’t as great as the love I feel for you,” he responded honestly. And it wasn’t. It had taken him a long time, probably longer than anyone else he knew—but he had learned what Shanks had been talking about. He’d learned what it meant to love someone, and how with that love, he could find a whole new kind of adventure just in the everyday moments of life. Why did he need to go out there, when he had everything he could ever want or need right here?
“Oh, Luffy!” she gasped, flopping down to hug him. It was awkward positioning, and his face was squeezed in her chest, and he kind of couldn’t breathe. But he bore it because Hancock was happy, and she’d get back up soon enough. Indeed, before his head had even begun to swim from lack of air, she had pushed herself up with her hands again to begin dropping kisses and tears all over his face.
“I love you—I love you—I love you so much!” she gasped. She then reared back to look down at him, red-faced and teary-eyed and breathless. “Oh—you don’t know how much I needed to hear you say that.”
Luffy just grinned up at her. Hancock’s face began to descend again, slowly this time, and her eyes grew lidded with passion. Just as her lips were poised to brush against Luffy’s in a slow, sensual kiss, Luffy heard something whistle through the air.
A glob of mud exploded against the side of Hancock’s face with a resounding wet slap. Luffy’s hands flew to his mouth in shock. Hancock just sat there, the mud slowly sliding down the side of her head and clumping in her hair. With eyes as wide as moons, Luffy turned to look at the culprits: their daughters.
“P.D.A.!” Lani cackled hysterically, while Lana stood beside her with another mudpie poised to throw. “Kissing is gross! Mommy and Daddy should know better!”
“My kids are about to die,” Luffy whispered to himself, then slowly peeked out of the sides of his eyes at Hancock. She slowly stood up, looming over his prostrate form like a dark goddess brought forth from the earth—and wiped the mud from the side of her face. She looked at the thick, brown globs coating her hand, and then slowly turned to look at the two girls on the creekside.
Luffy followed her gaze. The smiles had vanished from the two girls’ faces; they had realized they were in mortal danger. The blood drained from their faces. The mudpie slipped from Lana’s hand and landed on the ground with a wet slop.
That was the signal, bringing the strange sense of stopped time to a screeching halt.
“Girrrrrls,” Hancock trilled in an eerie sing-song voice, and the smile she plastered on her face didn’t reach her eyes. “I just remembered you didn’t have a bath this morning. I should give you one… A mud bath, that is!”
With a roar, Hancock dashed toward the girls. With delighted screams, they sprang apart and went running off in opposite directions. Hancock cleared the yard in three strides, splashing into the creek to grab Lani around the middle and heave her up. Lani laughed as she wriggled and kicked in her mother’s grasp, while Hancock turned, triumphantly marching toward the bank. With a happy howl, Hancock dropped Lani lightly down into the mud and held her down while slathering mud all over her.
“How do you like that, huh?” Hancock cried as Lani wiggled around in the mud like a slug, cackling maniacally with delight.
Hancock’s head suddenly whipped up, her dark eyes fixing on Luffy.
“What are you just standing there for?” she snapped and pointed a finger at Lana, who was hiding behind a palm tree nearby. “She’s not getting away without punishment, either!”
Luffy sat up with a sigh and plunked his straw hat back on his head. He looked to his other daughter, who peered hopefully around the tree. Would her father spare her?
“Sorry,” Luffy grinned as he slapped his hands to his knees and pushed himself up. He rolled his shoulders, then stretched his legs. When he clapped his hands together, the sound pierced the air like a thunderclap, and he set his blazing gaze upon Lana. “You heard the lady. It’s mud bath time!”
As Lana tore off across the yard with a shrill scream, Luffy took off after her. Just like her sister, she wasn’t hard to subdue, and Luffy carried her kicking and laughing to the creek to douse her in mud. Then the little buggers teamed up to drag their parents in, and they all ended up one big, muddy, giddy mess.
One adventure ends, and another begins. Luffy didn’t need the big adventures out there on the sea anymore. He had all the adventures he needed, the little ones he had with his family each and every day.

I will never understand why people DON’T ship Franky and Robin. Like it was pretty much set up from the beginning but not in a forced manner like every other straight anime couple. It’s mostly just adorable hints like letting franky resting on her lap, wearing matching outfits, but there were other obvious things like Franky’s “it’s never a crime to just exist” speech to her in water seven, and then catching her in his arms later as they smile at each other?? Like???

Tumblr media
You didn't know what happened after you were forced to leave the arena. You were placed on a cell with two of your fellow warriors guarding as you waited for the outcome of the battle.
"Please! Atleast tell me, Is Marguerite alright...? What about the other two? Sweet Pea and Aphelandra..? Are they alright.?"
"I'm sorry, (Name). But we can't disclose anything to you. All we can say is that the Gorgon sisters are battling that strange man as we speak..."
You sat there in the cell for what it felt like hours. You didn't know what had happened until you were finally allowed to be freed.
However, as soon as you left your cell, you found yourself face to face with one of the Gorgon sister, Boa Sandersonia towered over your form as she gestured you to follow her.
"(Name), Our older sister ordered for you to appear before her."
"May I ask the reason why?"
"You'll see when you get there."
You can see how hesistant her tone was as she refused to look at you in the eye. By her body language alone, you can tell how uneasy and nervous she was being. So to avoid making her uncomfortable, you decided to refrain from talking until you reached the snake princess' bed chambers.
"Oh! It's you!"
Luffy pointed his finger towards you as soon as you entered. His shock expression soon changed to excitement and relief, a grin appearing on his face.
"You're okay! I got worried when they took you away, glad to see that you're not hurt."
You gave him a gentle smile of acknowledgement before focusing your attention towards your empress who sat on her snake, Salome. She was staring directly at you, observing your interaction with the only man in the room.
"Come closer, the two of you..."
She commanded. Unlike Luffy, who approached her without any care, you cautiously took a step forward, expecting for a scolding, a punishment even.
Only for your eyes to widen in shock as she revealed her bare back on to the two of you.
"Snake Princess, but that's-! What about the curse..?!"
You immediately shielded your eyes. Hers and her sisters' backs are a sensitive subject that the whole island knew about. And here she was revealing it for you to see, was this your punishment? For you to turn to stone for disobeying her orders and allowing Luffy to live? Even going far to defending him back at the arena.
"I trust you, (Name). And it is about time you know the truth..."
There on her back, was a symbol dyed in red, circular center with four triangles resembling a claw. At that moment, you see how her shoulders trembled as you observe her mark.
"Is...is it alright for you to show it to us...? my empress, it is something you forbit anyone from discovering..."
You can see how it pained not only her but also Marigold and Sandersonia. Grandma Nyon encouraged to reveal the story, and after a few moments, you finally understood everything.
It was the mark of authority far more superior than of the Pirate Empress. The Celestial Dragon's mark, specifically the mark of slaves that belongs. Everything she experienced and the sufferings she has to endure with her sisters, she revealed it all to you and Luffy.
You stayed silent as Luffy was escorted out, him being invited to the banquet that was host whenever the Kuja Pirates return to the Island with a huge haul. You stayed behind as you felt like you shouldn't leave Hancock alone after everything that had been revealed.
"Has your view of me changer after finding out that I was a former slave...?"
"Can I really speak out my thoughts, Snake Princess? My most honest thoughts?"
You asked, revealing her secret doesn't mean that you should carelessly speak up. Boa Hancock is still the Empress of Amazon Lily, the ruler of the land you were born in.
"I will allow it."
"Then, I will reply with a No....No, I don't think any lesser of you, my empress. In fact, I think....that for to you endure such torment and rise above it is truly admirable. My respect for you just got deepened."
You spoke with true genuine in your tone. Yes, you were anguished with what you just heard. The sufferings of the people who look up upon brought pain in your heart.
"I think that...your past doesn't defy who you are. It just shows how truly strong you are."
For the first time in your life, in years of serving the Pirate Empress. This was the first time you ever saw her smile with tears in her eyes.
Tumblr media
It was then night time when Hancock dismissed you from your duties, having kept you around for a longer conversation. You found out the truth about your mother, yet you only found yourself slightly upset. You don't really remember what she look like nor what her personality were when she was alive, however, you could still remember the warmth she emitted whenever both of you share a tender embrace as she on board the empress' ship.
Hancock's attitude around you seems to have slightly changed now. She was more vocal of what she feels and treats you better than she did before, asking for your opinions and outlook of the village. The conversation began changing to how managing the island whenever she was out.
"As you now know, my presence here is somehow a threat. I'm a pirate with a bounty so great, continue doing your duties as usual."
She was more comfortable with you now. Just by thinking about it, made you smile as you nodded at her orders. Eager to aid her with everything.
"Yes, my empress... You can always rely on me."
you immediately went back to the village where the banquet is being held. Now in a more casual clothing, you entered the room and immediately sense the tense atmosphere among the women present there.
The center of their attention was Luffy who was sitting, eating his heart out as dishes were served on his table.
"What's going on?"
"(Name) is it really okay for a man to be present on the homecoming banquet.?"
One of the warriors asked, a look of concern is visible on her face, glancing at Luffy with skeptism.
"The Snake Princess already favors him, therefore we will treat Luffy with hospitality."
Just as you said that, Luffy stood up on the table with a ladle and wok pan, demanding that the women should sing and dance since it is a banquet.
A small smile made way on to your lips, covering them as you let a small giggle of amusement.
In that instant, the atmosphere changed into a lively one with the women eventually joining in, copying Luffy as he danced and pranced around.
Lively to the point, they all got comfortable around him.
"Hey now. Everyone, that's enough."
You scolded, seeing how they all gotten too comfortable around him to the point they all have been reaching towards his rubbery skin.
"Hey!"
Soon you found yourself looking for Luffy as the women all went after him in hopes of touching his skin.
"There you are, Luffy..."
You found him crouching on a building roof. As soon as you said that, his long rubbery arms stretched and grabbed you by your waist towards him.
"Geez...What's the matter with you guys?!"
"I apologize on their behalf. It's just... we barely seen a man this close before..."
You gave him an apologetic smile. Seeing that, he soon let out a laugh as he told you that it was fine.
"I never really got to thank you for defending me in that arena earlier."
"I...just did what I thought was right...."
You told him, slightly ashamed on your actions yet you never regretted it. Yes, you felt guilty for disobeying the Snake Princess, but you couldn't find it in yourself to just allow them to kill Luffy when it wasn't his fault that he ended up stranded on your Island.
"Say Luffy...What does the outside world looks like...?"
You asked. Your curiosity resurfaced after many years of trying to supress it, was it because of Luffy being here? But after becoming Boa Hancock's closest aid, you devoted yourself to follow every command without questions. Your loyalty overcame the curiosity about the world outside of Amazon Lily.
"Are....the seas really that vast? Are there really more islands out there?"
Back then, Hancock barely spoke to you and you could only rely on either Sandersonia or Marigold to tell you all about what they had seen while traveling through the seas. Brief conversations that could never satisfy you. It was thirst of wanting something that you know you will never have.
After all you have a duty to serve and protect Amazon Lily as it's devoted warrior.
"I dunno. Our adventures are always been exciting that I never really cared how big the sea is. But I do know that the Grandline is huge! I can't wait to sail and see everything with my crew!"
Luffy told you about his recent adventures. From his entry to the grandline, meeting Laboon the huge whale, up to his battles on Thriller Bark.
"There are Islands in the sky?!"
"Yeah! I even beated up this guy with long earlobes!"
"Woah..!"
Luffy grinned as he stared at your sparkling eyes that was looking back at him with wonder and admiration. He was reminded of Chopper just by staring at you. He wanted to see his crew badly now.
"I'll sail through these seas and become the King of Pirates!"
"I'm sure that you'll be able to do it!"
You encouraged, getting all hyped up from just his words alone. Luffy's aura reminded you of the sun and its brightness. That's how you felt just being near him.
Warmth.
"You know, you could just get on board that pirate ship your Empress have. You'll see how big the grandline is, with your own eyes."
You faltered at his words, he seem to have noticed and started to frown.
"What's wrong?"
"I just....feel like I have a sense of duty to stay here. And the snake princess said it herself. I'm not ready to leave the Island just yet."
"Why? You're already strong..."
"I can't disobey the Snake Princess, Luffy..."
Why can't you disobey? Was it because obeying her was something that you already drilled into your mind at a young age...? Or is it because you can't make decisions for yourself without having someone tell you what to do.
You grew up never knew how to say 'No'. It was always you doing what you have been told without ever complaining whether the task is easy or difficult. Because you hated to disappoint not only your Empress but also your fellow warriors.
"I see..."
Luffy just looked at you as if he already knows what was going on, yet he didn't say anything. His eyes stared at your tense and slightly trembling form. He then went through his pockets and pulled out a chunk of meat that he managed to save right before he was chased after by the Kujas.
"I do what I wanna do, I'm captain of my ship. Not even my crew can stop me!....Well maybe Nami. She's scary like a demon."
He took a huge bite before looking back at you with a grin. Seeing bits of meat stuck on his teeth made you laugh slightly. Luffy is really is a silly man.
"It doesn't hurt not to listen all the time. You went to defend me even when you know that you'll be in trouble. You do what you think is right!"
Your words from earlier came back towards you. You couldn't help but grew fond of him, hearing his somehow meaningful words as he feasted on the meat was holding without a care in the world.
He doesn't even seems to realize the effect his words he had on you.
"Thank you, Luffy...."
You stood up from your place and immediately waved discreetedly towards Marguerite who spotted you right away.
"Hey...! What are you doing?!.... They might see me and chase me again...!"
"You need a place to hide, right? Don't worry, Marguerite knows what to do. She'll take you there."
Tumblr media
When Luffy came back from Marineford, he was gravely injured. You could only watch from the distance as the men wearing white boiler suits docked at the far side of the Island.
The last time you saw him was when he left in a hurry to save his brother Ace from execution. Your Empress gave you a brief summary of what had happened and gave you temporary management of the warriors while her and her sisters sailed off.
"(Name)...Keep watch over those men on the far side of the Island. Report back once Luffy regain conciousness...please..."
The Snake Princess looks very distraught, so you immediately agreed upon hearing her request. Not a command, but a request. You could never deny a request.
Two weeks. That was how long you kept watch. The warriors back at the village would often bring you meals. By following the rules with the exception of Luffy, you kept your distance from the men and hid on top of trees.
Eventually, Luffy woke up. You were happy and was about to report until you noticed something odd.
Luffy went on a rampage.
"Hey...Can you report this to the Snake Princess in my stead? Tell her that Luffy regained conciousness..."
You asked a fellow Kuja who happens to be nearby. From the distance you could hear distant shouting of intense agony and destruction.
"Luffy!"
You stood on top of a tree branch, watching in absolute shock, as Luffy destroys everything around him. Trees and boulders. Nothing was left untouched. You began to worry that he might reopen his wounds.
Fortunately, the blue fish-man managed to calm him down. But the sight of Luffy crying made you feel a sudden ache from within too. As if you could feel his pain. Luffy lost his brother, and it somehow hurt you too.
"It must have hurt so much....doesn't it...Luffy?"
You were hurting for him. You want him to show his usual sunshine smile like he always have. Crying is not something you want to see Luffy do yet you don't even know how to comfort him.
"I want to approach and say something but..."
You weren't naive. You know of the snake princess' illness and how much she needs Luffy if she wants to live long. So to spare your own feelings you decided at that moment, to stay away from him even after growing so fond of him. How much you wanted to be there for him now that he needed someone to lean on as he suffers.
"The....empress' happiness comes first..."
So now, you could only watch on a distance as your heart breaks from hearing his cries.

meeting boa hancock - luffy x f!reader
Tumblr media
angsty fluff… mostly centered around you and hancock
summary: when you and luffy need to fight by hancock’s side in battle, you’re terrified of what might happen if she finds out you two are together. But, as you soon discover, you can find friendship in the most unlikely places.
words: 2.5k
________________________
Your wrist is sprained. It’s not your hand you use to wield your cutlass, thankfully, but the pain is hard on you, you’re ashamed at your inability to deal with pain, in comparison to your crewmates who sacrifice so much. You can’t climb sheer cliffs or take swords to the chest. Your body is weak, you fear, you don’t think you could handle taking on a crewmate’s pain, although you like to think you would try, because you’d risk your life for them. Right now you can barely handle a sprained wrist, made worse by the humiliation of a capture by the Black Dove Pirates, when your loving boyfriend had to battle to save you.
The Black Doves are led by, well, Black Dove, a horrific man with a mysterious zoan-type devil fruit giving him the abilities of a kraken, massive, lethal tentacles capable of sinking ships. Restraining himself from a passionate fight, Luffy’s top priority was getting you to safety, you and your sprained wrist, you had tried to fight, after all.
But now the Black Doves have declared war, leaving you and the crew terrified of an unmatched battle with the notorious pirates and their mythical captain. But Luffy had a friend to call, a powerful friend, someone he told you was someone you could count on, that you had nothing to worry about now.
Boa Hancock.
You knew of her, of course, and you were thankful for the surprising alliance, until you remembered what Luffy had said, when he said it far too casually, that Hancock wanted to marry him.
You’re overcome with anxiety at not only the imminent battle with the Black Doves, but at the thought that you were in danger from all sides, the wrath Hancock would bring down on you if she ever found out you and Luffy were together.
In the heat of battle Luffy has often held your hand and given you angry kisses when he can. It’s a comfort for him, it gives him strength and motivation, it reassures him that you’re safe in his arms. He calls you pet names and hugs you and always makes sure he knows where you are, making sure you’re ok. But he can’t this time. You plead and beg him not to even though he doesn’t seem to understand why, really. He’s disappointed, but you assure him that before and afterward you’d get a special night together to make up for the stolen closeness.
_______________________
The rest of the crew are set to battle the titanic kraken guarding the gates of Dove’s hellish mountain island domain. A sneak attack is your only option but they didn’t make this easy. It would be you and Hancock against the top men of the crew, and Luffy would battle Dove. You aren’t confident in your abilities, you wonder why you’re here alongside two of the most powerful people of the seas, but Luffy wants you close, maybe. And he thinks this fight will be no problem, even though you tell him you have a sprained wrist and you’ll just drag everyone down.
And as soon as she sees you, the instant your eyes meet, Hancock despises you. Her gaze is deadly and cold, and even though you try to put distance between you and Luffy your very existence triggers pangs of jealousy within the empress.
Luffy, although largely oblivious to why, can sense the tension and he hates it. He wants you all to be friends, be a team. When you and Hancock stand in silence, staring at each other on the rocky shore, he complains, “c’mon! Lessgo!” with anxiety in his voice. And he holds both of your hands and pulls you two along behind him, making you and Hancock both blush, Hancock is transported to another more comforting world in that moment but you are so wracked with nerves that every sense around you becomes overwhelming and far too much.
You look at Luffy with begging eyes when he squeezes your hand and not Hancock’s, although she doesn’t seem to notice.
The three of you run up the jagged black-stone path into a bombed-out looking castle, you gingerly survey the landscape as crew members lay drunk on whiskey, passed out and unbothered by lightning flickering overhead. You came at the perfect time.
Before running off to find Dove, Luffy is about to lean in for a kiss when you dodge and shoot him a look. Which immediately makes you sad, because Luffy looks upset when he turns his back and heads off into a brutal fight that awaits him. It’s your biggest fear that you’ll lose him, made worse by imagining your last interaction as one of sadness, but you feel Hancock’s malicious eyes on you and there’s nothing you can do.
You hear a shout, suddenly, echoing through the ruins. A crew member has heard you, an axe wielding menace with glassy white eyes. Hancock whips her head around and immediately tries to turn him to stone, but the man is blind, you both realize. It’s no use.
“I’ll take him, just go!” you shout at her, the first real words you’ve said. And Hancock glowers at you and focuses her attention elsewhere, because the crew has been alerted. And Dove has risen, you see, coming face-to-face with Luffy and towering above him at what seems like at least twelve feet. Black tentacles begin forming from his massive, muscular frame and an evil smirk spreads across his face.
Your heart leaps into your throat for Luffy’s safety but you have other things to worry about. The axe wielding monster swings at you and you manage to dodge, drawing your cutlass. It’s a harsh and desperate battle, your movements still clouded by worry which makes the throbbing in your wrist worse, but it’s when you lead the sightless beast to a precipice that you trick him and let him fall to his death on the rocks far below. You’ve slayed your first Black Dove pirate, but there’s many more and you need to dive head first into war.
You’re amazed by Hancock, really. At a snap of her hands half an army turns to stone. Her control of haki is like nothing you’ve seen before, her sharp, quick intelligence adjusting at a moment’s notice to other forms of attack. She does all of this in heels, in a graceful dress, beautiful raven hair flying in the wind as she fights with all her heart. You find yourself envying her, her jealousy over you nearly matched by your own.
But she still kicks crew members out of her way and towards you with no real regard for your safety. She still hates you, just for being a woman on Luffy’s crew. Even though you’d done nothing wrong.
Despite Luffy’s best efforts, he’s smashed into the sharp stone by a tentacle and struggles to stand again, groaning and coughing. Dove sees his crew in danger and wants to make quick work of the two women disturbing the peace on his island.
There is too much evil in his heart for Hancock to turn him to stone. And his tentacles are too fast for her, she’s cornered, now, on a cliff and Dove is going to knock her into the ocean. At the speed of light the inky tentacles come, taking advantage of Hancock’s momentary stillness in her sinking terror and desperation, and how she sees Luffy on the ground and screams in worry and is distracted for a precious instant. But before she’s sent falling to her death, she’s knocked from the side, slammed onto the ground and tumbling, held in your arms, down an incline and into the remnants of a turret. Dove can’t reach you from here, giving Luffy enough time to resume his fight.
You had grabbed Hancock and pushed her desperately to safety, you had saved her, and now you both lie there in the dark on the dirty stone floor, all bruises and ripped clothes.
Your head rests on her chest, neither of you have caught your breath enough to get up. And from here you can hear her heart pounding furiously in your ear, she’s scared and curled in on herself.
You roll off of her, slowly sitting up, looking over at her as she rests sprawled on the ground.
She feels your eyes on her and sits up, face contorted with warring emotions. Her lips are set in a firm scowl. She’s staring at you but you see past the malice and now she looks like a scared animal desperate to survive.
“Are you ok?” you say gently, reaching for her hand.
She yanks it away from yours and scoots back against the wall. “Yes! I’m fine…” she hisses defensively.
But she’s clutching her wrist. And she may have just hurriedly wiped tears out of her eyes.
Before you can say anything else, she leaps up and runs to a window, scanning the battlefield for Luffy. Her hands grip the cold brick. She’s shaking slightly.
“Are you worried about him?” you ask quietly, standing up and walking towards her slowly.
“Where is he?” Her voice is quiet now. Images of Luffy’s battered body flash in her mind and you can see the same sickness within her that you feel, a worry over someone you love so deeply. The jealousy and fear of her leaves your mind and is replaced by one thought alone.
Poor girl.
“He’s going to be ok, I promise.” You place a hand on her shoulder making her flinch, but she doesn’t pull away this time.
She doesn’t say anything. But she’s still scared.
So you say, “hey, princess, I’m scared too. But… all we can do is hope and keep ourselves safe now, right? We did what we could. We brought down an army for him.”
She pauses again, head down. Until she murmurs, “…Hancock.” Another pause. “You can call me Hancock.”
You smile. You sit again and she follows your lead. “You really love him, huh?”
“…Yes. Of course I do.” A tiny tear forms in her eye again, even though her voice is still hard and cold. “…Sometimes I don’t understand how anyone can’t be.”
So you think very carefully for a moment, before telling her, “I understand. He’s the kindest person I’ve ever met, he’s…”
“He’s perfect.”
“Yeah, that.”
And even though jealousy still blooms in her icy heart, Hancock feels herself soften. She doesn’t feel like sustaining her mirage anymore right now. The fear and the tears and the confusing comradery chipping away at her evil façade and now she’s just so, so tired all of a sudden. “[Name,] right?” she says under her breath.
“Yeah.”
“You really think he’ll be ok?”
“He always is.” And without Zoro or Nami there to reprimand you about trust, you take up the role instead, squeezing Hancock’s shoulder and saying, “have faith in him. Worrying’s not gonna help any of us right now.”
She nods, tightening her lips. And then, all of a sudden, she bursts into tears and hugs her knees to her chest, hair falling over her face.
“Hey, Hancock!” You slide closer to her. “Please don’t cry, he’s going to be safe…”
“No!” she hisses, gritting her teeth, “I… I don’t know where Salome is. I want Salome. Everything’s falling apart!”
“…Salome?”
“My snake!” she cries, sniffing and wiping her nose.
“Don’t worry about that either, ok? I’m sure she’s alright, it’s all gonna be over soon… just don’t cry…”
And now here’s something you weren’t prepared for, Hancock leans her head against your shoulder. Her sobbing quiets. She grows still. You smile, tucking her hair behind her ear.
“It’s gonna be ok,” you whisper again, “hey, can I see your wrist?”
And she places her hand in yours. You lift her pale, slender wrist and notice swelling just beneath the palm. You recognize this, you know it well.
You start to laugh, and her stare grows a little icy again. “What?” she snaps.
“You sprained your wrist. Here, look…” You raise yours next to hers. Your swelling parallels each other, you’re even more alike, now. You’re matching.
“We’re matching. I sprained mine too.”
She smiles. This is the first time you’ve made her smile. She even laughs a little, very lightly, her heart feels like it’s being squeezed, but by a warm hand, not by a cold claw.
You sit with her, and talk sometimes, until you hear Luffy calling your names. Hancock stands up and dashes out of the turret, running to find him, and he stands proudly although his body is weakened. Dove has fallen. You’re all ok. Hancock hugs Luffy and then hugs Salome, who is curled beside him. She looks happy, which makes you happy, too.
And then Luffy pulls you into a hug. You don’t care anymore, you just want to hug him, and Hancock got a hug so you get one too. You squeeze Luffy so tightly and you don’t want to let go, his warmth and scent soothing your body, his strong arms wrapped around you and his hands rubbing your back. You’re very nervous he’s going to try to kiss you but he doesn’t, like he promised, he knows he’ll have time for all of that later.
The kraken is gone and everyone is waiting for you at the bay. Hancock is tearful when she has to part with Luffy and, strangely, she is for you too.
“Come to me whenever you need! I’ll always be there for you!” she promises Luffy, her voice going up an octave when she talks to him. And then, before she leaves for her ship, she turns to you. “[Name…] I hope we’ll meet again.” Her smile is gentle, but very real.
“Me too!” You call out to her, following Luffy away, back to the Sunny, amazed at the events of the day, full of happiness and relief and still a slight stinging from your wrist but love can heal almost anything, at least a little bit.
And maybe deep in her heart, Hancock knows. The way you and Luffy look at each other, your soft voices, the way he walks close to you and how it seems like he’s always ready to lean in for a hug. It pulls at the back of her mind. A sting of pain. But she’s good at pushing these things away.
She’s just so happy that she made a friend today.

Luffy x jealous reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
A/n: All of these are just fiction. You are pretty, lovely, and beautiful <?33 Word count: 600 Request are open Warning: insecure reader but Luffy is beige so he comforts u
ft: Luffy, Boa
Requested: <yes> <no>
Tumblr media
You love Luffy, you really do. But God, he’s so dense it hurts. Right now, he’s being fed by none other than the Kuja Empress herself, Boa Hancock. She even learned how to cook meat, just for Luffy!
Yeah, you can stand your ground in terms of attractiveness. But with the most beautiful woman? Yeah no, you’d wither away like a speck of dust.
You’re glad that Boa finds Luffy attractive. But at the same time sad. Luffy is handsome and strong. It makes sense that he’ll need a partner that can be on his level. And well, you’re quite far from it.
It doesn’t help that Luffy is oblivious to all this! Yes, Luffy is way smarter than he looks. And yes, he can be serious sometimes. But what does he know about love? He’s like a newborn child when it comes to it. If it weren’t for Robin pushing him to confess, you would’ve imploded!
It also doesn’t help that when the pirate empress first saw you, she was…disgusted. And when she looked back at Luffy, her heart and eyes went back. Not to mention, you also had a lesser portion of food being given to you.
Finally having enough, you left the scene and went back to you and Luffy’s shared room. You contemplated whether to just sleep at the ship for the rest of the week or stay in the castle.
Tumblr media
You lay down on the futon, looking at the blank ceiling. Light filled the corner of your eyes. Standing there was Luffy and meat in his mouth.
He entered the room and closed the door. The two of you were silent, and an uncomfortable aura filled the area. Luffy swallowed the meat whole and then spoke, “Are you ok, Y/n?” You shifted your body and positioned it to stare at Luffy. “Of course, why would you think that?”
He tilted his head to the side and crossed his arms, “Well you seemed down when we were eating…was it because I stole all your food?!” He laughed, “You gotta be quick next time, Y/n.”
“I guess so,” you said. Your voice was dry and had no feelings. You shifted your weight back to your original position, and once again, looked at the ceiling.
Luffy frowned at your reaction and used his gum-gum fruit to snatch you out of the bed.
You gave out a little squeak and gasped, “Luffy!”
“Are you mad at me, Y/n?” He asked, pouting, “I’ll try not to steal your food anymore, ok?”
You smiled a bit from his gestures, “I’m not mad at you, Luffy. Just tired.”
“Really? But we’re having fun downstairs.”
“Well, you can go back down, Luffy. I’m not gonna stop you.”
Luffy looked at you for a while and finally spoke, “Nah.” He held your bridal style and went to the futon. He put the two futons close together and dropped you on top.
“Luffy?”
“Sanji said that if a woman is sad then you should spend time with them. So, I’m gonna cuddle with you tonight, Y/n!” He gave you a flashy smile and wrapped his rubber arms around you three times.
Tumblr media
Morning came and you woke up from the sun shining on your eyes. You looked beside you and noticed Luffy still asleep, his hair was a mess, his mouth was wide open, and his arms were tightly wrapped around you.
You blushed from what you remembered last night and opted to wake up Luffy. But, you never had a day as peaceful as this. And so, you went back from your sleep and embraced him, once again.
Tumblr media
A/n: I just want to let you all know THIS is just a fictional story. You are of course perfect just the way you are <?33

One piece women if you ask them to peel you an orange/tangerine
Through the good graces of our girl Nami, she let you have one of her precious tangerines, but you don’t want to peel it so instead you go to bug one of your crewmate’s.
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3
Nami, Nico Robin, Vivi, Boa Hancock, Perona
———————————————————————
Nami:
Ngl I think she’d be really offended if you tried to ask her to peel it for you
She’s already given you the tangerine so you’re really pushing your luck
But if Nami really likes you she’s do it for you
It would be super clean, she’d be able to peel it off in one long strip
“There you go, now that’ll be ten thousand beris! 😁✨”
Robin:
She’d be reading when you asked her
She’ll nod but make two hands appear out of the wall to peel it for you
You can try to start a conversation but she’s too invested in the book to hear you
Vivi:
She’d be telling you about a meeting she had when you ask her if she could peel it for you
Without skipping a beat she’ll peel the orange as she keeps talking, handing you each slice piece by piece
Might accidentally eat a slice if she’s really into what she’s saying
Realized she ate one of your orange slices and apologizes profusely
Boa Hancock:
“HOW DARE YOU ASK ME TO PEEL A FRUIT FOR YOU, SWINE!” *pose*
Yeah, sorry Hancock lovers this woman is absolutely not peeling any fruit
It’s me I’m Hancock lovers
Unless you’re Luffy but internally she’d be grossed out by the feeling of it under her nails
At the very least she’ll have someone else peel if for you (if you’re lucky)
Perona:
Definitely not happening
You better be super-super-duper cute to even hope that this girl would peel an orange for you
“Oh, what’s this? My hand’s going right through the orange! Oh well, too bad, so sad. Looks like you’ll have to peel it yourself! Horo-horo-horo!”

High School AU strikes again! This time it's valentine's day and Nami gets jealous of the attention the substitute teacher Hancock is giving Luffy (I tried to be more or less consistent with the age gap in the actual story, so she couldn't be a classmate.)
Usopp gives Nami a pep talk and encourages her not to give up, since Luffy only cares for the food Hancock is giving him.
I also added Tashigi because I'm pretty sure she'd give Zoro chocolate, even if she'd downplay it as obligation chocolate. XD
They're both in the kendo club.
