Welcome to Yolmar!

A town nestled under Rosha mountains, a pilgrimage destination for the devouts of Bahamut who wish to regain his favor. Located at the edge of the Zantharian desert, its favored by caravans and adventurers alike as a place of rest.

The town is mainly inhabited by humans, but there are families of brass dragonborn, descendants of the first settlers of Yolmar who thwarted an outworldy invasion by destroying an ancient portal.

As a caravan stop, a bustling bazaar formed beneath the godly shrine. Here traders barter with pilgrims and travelers. Spices, shawls, exotic animals or weapons of dubious origins are a couple of all the things one can purchase here.

Kam is working hard on The Myap (the map) of Ebott is a Multiverse's Ebott City. I'm trying to do shit to scale and worldbuilding with it.

Kam isn't good at infrastructure or anything like that tho so it's taking time to get it all right. Thank goodness Kam has amazing clever and insightful moots to help in these troubling times.

your grand company chocobo is meant to be male i think (he/himmed a few times i do believe) but to me she is a beautiful princess. i love putting the camera directly into her face to see her big wet eyes. her name is angel because that's what she is. i dyed her feathers coral pink. i don't use any other mount i've gotten thus far. this is my best friend forever. thank you. yay !

If you want something Maxis Match and true to the game 20th Century Plumbob has created a bunch of Map Overrides true to the games actual surroundings. There are also several options such as a night version for SanMyShuno. It is also ongoing!

For those who are looking for more hyper realistic map replacements, might enjoy Mama-Llama's Maps Collection as for now (June 2025) there aren't as many Maps but they are all very high quality.

And for those who enjoy handdrawn maps, recently DerShayan (& Angel Adrián Treviño) have updated the Map Collection for newer worlds! Hooray! Willow Creek also has some seasonal versions. (As of June 2025 the collection doesn't have all maps just yet)

heard about this OMORI Collector Edition through the grapevine and decided to read up on it myself. the fact that the devs are asking $84 for what is essentially an unrevised first draft of a game aside, some of the included "keepsakes and mementos from Faraway Town" are ridiculous

1) The fact that Sunny and Mari's recital was meant to be hosted at the town's church would've made the reason it appears as Black Space's final location a bit more understandable, but said fact was never brought up (or even remotely hinted at) in the game proper

2) The recital couldn't have possibly happened at any point in the 2000s. lol and lmao

anon are you aware that theres an almost 190 page document that showcases all the trees seen in nebraska up until 1951. native and not. includes handdrawn drawings of it's seeds, leaves, needles, extra notable sections, flowers, and fruit. its very awesome and i love it.

RED CEDAR / RED JUNIPER (Juniperus virginiana L.) PAGE I LOVE YOUUU take this excerpt from it.

"The red cedar is one of the most valuable trees of the United States because of the value of the wood and the uses of the species for landscape decoration. It makes an excellent low windbreak and it endures close pruning without injury, often being pruned into fantistic forms. Care should be taken that this tree is not planted near the apple orchard because of the fact that a certain rust fungus disease alternates between this tree and the apple tree which often does great damage to the apple." (p39)

no i did not edit that, it is spelt "fantistic" in the original document. bro was in awe of the beauty of nature so much that the typewriter (as this was written around 1951) slipped. fantistic tree.

the black walnut (Juglans nigra L.) pages are mentioned here because i have this extremely specific childhood memory of me on the playground of my preschool facility and throwing a black walnut fruit at a kid and getting in trouble for it. he deserved it too. he trashed the good playroom.

black jack oak (Quercus marhandica muench.) is also connected to a childhood memory of me tearing the cap off the acorn only to crack it open and experience maggots for the first time.

ON A FINAL NOTE i really like the distribution maps for the black birch and white elm juxtaposed

like, yeah man it's over there. and then this fucking thing is everywhere it's insane. i love it. ooooo you wanna read this whole document so baddd....

a bit of it is outdated, mainly the distribution maps, because it has been half a decade and trees spread. thats how they go places.just like toyota. so keep that in mind while perusing the maps. but other than that it's pretty accurate!!!! trees win!!!!

When i say my autistic ass has been working on a map. i mean-

4 canvas iterations. 10k x 12k pixels wherein each pixel is approximately a square foot to scale. the clouded areas are areas i havent developed properly yet. i am very slow since i dont have a great grasp of space or architecture.

Let's just keep it at "my players are menaces. After almost everything in this campaign this is a recreated map with the newly terraformed land. I also did a better job coloring this map despite using the same #crayola colored pencils. Now the land of Archelia. Where non-magical humans make up the majority of the population has been reshaped, we'll see what happens this Friday.
